Big Brother OTT Spoilers: Week One Results and Updates

The first week of Big Brother: Over the Top has almost come to an end, and fans are all still becoming accustomed to all new ceremonies and unparalleled viewer involvement in this 19th installment of the social experiment series.  So far, fans have been able to vote for a third houseguest (HG) that was nominated to the Block, and polls are currently open for fans to vote for their choice of HGs for eviction from the Big Brother house this week.  The HG receiving the most votes will receive one additional vote during the eviction ceremony.

The Power of Veto (POV) ceremony aired live earlier today on the the Big Brother feeds, and the POV competition was held yesterday.  For results of these and other events of the week, please continue reading.

The Head of Household competition this week was titled “Big Brother Bug” and entailed HGs pawning off an infection to each other over a 24-hour period until one HG stood alone as the only uninfected HG.  Shane Chapman was the first HG to become infected and passed the infection throughout the house until Alex Willett, Whitney Hogg, and Monte Massongill were left standing.  Finally, the last infection was passed onto Alex by Whitney thereby leaving Monte as the first HOH this season.

A new ceremony was introduced this season titled the “Safety” ceremony where the HOH names HGs as ‘safe’ from eviction rather than directly nominating HGs to the Block for eviction.  After two rounds of Safety ceremonies held in two days, back-to-back, the two remaining HGs are thereby nominated to the Block for eviction.  Monte nominated Neeley Jackson, Morgan Willett, Shane, Whitney, and Michael “Cornbread” Ligion in the ceremony’s first round.  The following day, Monte named Justin Duncan, Kryssie Ridolfi, Shelby Stockton, Scott Dennis, and Alex as safe, thereby nominating Danielle Lickey and Jason Roy to the Block for eviction.

After the Danielle and Jason were nominated for eviction, all of the HGs were informed that a third HG would be nominated to the Block by the fans.  Needless to say, this revelation sent shock waves through the house.  The fans voted and chose Cornbread for the third nominee to the Block.

The POV competition was titled “Veto Vault” and the HGs had to figure out a four digit number to win.  Clues were scattered throughout the Big Brother house revealed the digits to use to win the competition.  The HGs that competed were Monte, Cornbread, Alex, Whitney, Jason, and Danielle with Jason winning the POV.

At the POV ceremony, Jason removed himself from the Block.  This left Monte with the task of nominating a replacement to the Block for eviction.  His choice was Kryssie, and she was named as the replacement nominee to the Block for eviction.  Therefore, the final three HGs on the Block for eviction this week are Danielle, Kryssie, and Cornbread.  Don’t forget to vote for your choice for eviction this week.  Keep reading for more information.

Big Brother has included viewers in the game like never before.  Here are the ways fans have become an integral part of the game this week.

America’s Nominee Vote – After the HOH has nominated two HGs to the Block for eviction, viewers will have the opportunity to vote for a third HG to be nominated to the Block for eviction.  This week, the HOH, Monte, nominated Danielle and Jason to the Block, and America voted for Cornbread as their choice to join Danielle and Jason as nominees for eviction.

America’s Eviction Vote – For the first time in the history of Big Brother, fans will have the opportunity to cast a vote for which HG they would like to see evicted each week.  The HG that receives the most votes by the fans will receive one extra vote during the eviction ceremony.  This week, fans can vote for Danielle, Cornbread, or Kryssie.  Voting is still open at the CBS Big Brother site and will remain open until Wednesday, October 5 at 1 PM PST (4 PM EST).  Click here to vote now.

America’s Care Package Vote – Back again by popular demand is the ability for viewers to vote to send their favorite HG a special advantage in the game.

America’s Have Nots Vote – Each week, fans will vote for which three HG will be “Have Nots” for the upcoming week.  This vote should be open next week for viewers.

New Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills Star Dorit Kemsley’s Husband’s Past Bankruptcies Revealed!

Well, it wouldn’t be Real Housewives without a shady finance situation! Dorit Kemsley hasn’t even gotten her official Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills tagline yet, but she’s already a perfect fit considering her businessman husband Paul Kemsley filed for bankruptcy a few years ago!

In 2012, Paul claimed to be $10 to $50 million dollars in debt, with numerous creditors in the US and abroad suing him for repayment.

At the time Paul was living in Fl, but is a British citizen. He listed his expenses as totaling $34,000 per month, but claimed to have only $104 in his bank account. “My estranged wife currently pays for all this as I have no income,” his filing decreed. “I have existed largely by borrowing from friends and family.” Well, well – isn’t that cushy!

Paul blamed his financial problems on the 2008 economic collapse, which caused his property development business “Rock” to crumble. At the time Paul was also Vice President of Planet Hollywood, earning about $7,800 per month.

Paul and Dorit weren’t married at the time, and his divorce wasn’t finalized. He did admit to having a NYC-based girlfriend in his bankruptcy case. Which may have been Dorit, a fashion designer. Paul also included in his financial obligations support for his three minor children from his previous marriage. Paul has since married Dorit, and they now have two sons together.

Here’s where it gets confusing. Paul first filed bankruptcy in the UK, where the majority of his holdings were. I barely understand the particulars of US financial law, and I certainly don’t understand the treacly international ones, so I won’t even try to delve into the details here, but the court documents are available at Radar Online if you want to investigate yourself.

But the gist seems to be that Paul secured a bankruptcy in the UK to expunge his debts there. Then he moved to the US to start over. But, getting wind that he was plenty flush stateside, one of Paul’s British creditors sought legal action against him here. Per Wikipedia, Paul tried to protect his US assets by evoking his UK bankruptcy, which was rejected by the US court with the presiding judge dubbing him “a bankrupt who doesn’t live like one.” Nevertheless the US court also dismissed the British creditor’s suit against him.

Paul’s rep acknowledges his past financial disasters, but praises the way he’s recovered from the setback. “Kemsley has found new love with his wife Dorit, a reignited passion for business and he’s reestablished himself. He hopes that people will take inspiration from his journey, after all it’s not about how you got knocked down it’s about how quickly you got back up.”

Well, this is interesting… I cannot wait to see how it shakes out on RHOBH!

Below Deck Recap: The Freak Comes Out At Night

Last week on Below Deck, we waved goodbye to Trevor Walker with our middle fingers and saw Sierra Storm break down in tears over a high stress night in the kitchen with Ben Robinson. Now, Miss “I Need To Have Positivity Around Me” is thinking about leaving because of her super special hurt feelings.

But before anyone can muster any forced sympathy for Sierra, they’ll have to adjust to a new deckhand on board. And he’s here to add more complexity to the already messy love triangle (growing quickly into a trapezoid!) on Valor. It’s gonna be stormy seas, folks!

Ben regrets choosing Sierra as his sous chef (er, salad wench) for the 12-course meal he cooked the first night of charter, but now he’s prepared to make nice with her to keep the peace. Meanwhile, Nico Scholly and Lauren Burchnell are taking some time to chill now that Trevor has been cut out like anal cancer. But there’s a problem! Lauren has the hots for Nico, and she thinks he does for her as well. Not so. For he loves Emily Warburton-Adam! As does bosun Kelley Johnson! It’s like poor (very, very poor) man’s Shakespearean comedy! With deckhands! And mops!

Lauren is not a complete idiot for long, though, as she picks up on sparks flying when Nico and Emily take a break to swim around together, looking a little too “friendly” in the deep blue sea.

Soon enough, the bored charter guests distract everyone and gross out viewers worldwide when they decide to engage in a push-up competition. The winner gets nothing. But the loser will get his chest waxed into a “V” for Valor! The contest, which doesn’t last long, is described best by Kelley, who comments on the grunting and huffing on deck. “It’s like seals mating.”

Ever the consummate professional, Kate Chastain is at the ready with a tub of hot wax before the guests can say “I am half gorilla.” The waxing commences, and goes a little something like this:

…finally ending along the lines of this:

It is, um, NOT PRETTY. Neither is the plate of furry wax strips Kate must clean up afterward. But it’s basically all in good fun until one of the guests grossly asks Emily, “Hey, can we see your ‘V’?” Emily, to her credit, does not decapitate him on the spot with a machete. Maybe she is the consummate professional here? But then again, she is dealing with Early Man. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I offer you Exhibit A, as hard evidence:

At dinner later, the guests get more lewd as they hit on the female staff relentlessly, ogle Sierra’s boobs, and generally act like enormous tools. Such is to be expected of the level of guests on Below Deck this season, I suppose! Kate plans something special as a parting gift for the guests’ departure, though, which is a perfect cherry on top of their frat boy trip: A framed/laminated presentation of their disgusting wax strips. Bwah! #KateForTheWin #PenisTowel2.0

The guests accept their gift with humor, praise Ben’s cooking, and hand over their tip before leaving. So, no harm, no foul.

Tip meeting! Captain Lee Rosbach is pleased with the improvement in communication since last charter. (Erm, could that have something to do with Trevor being booted off the boat?) Kate and Ben are getting along better though, admittedly, and the crew is happy to see their $20K tip – split 10 ways, thankyouverymuch, Trevor! – a massive sum for a short charter. The crew is thrilled.

Lauren is also thrilled that she and Nico can bond over their teamwork, which she interprets as flirting. But Kate sees the truth of the matter: For Nico, Lauren has definitely been “friend-zoned.” Nico sees her as a sister, not a boat-mance.

Before they can catch their breath, it’s already time for Captain Lee to apprise Kate, Kelley, and Ben of the next charter guests. They’re a married couple with a blended Brady Bunch-esque family who will hopefully be less base and disgusting than the previous mouth breathers. “We’ve got no weirdos!” cheers Lee, who also alerts the group that a new deckhand will be joining them tomorrow. A deckhand who has limited experience, is holding an apple in his head shot (???), and who Kate hopes is just interesting – not another freak. Kelley sums up,”He’s either going to be a knob or he’s not.” Yup.

In the galley, Kate is chatting up Ben about troubles in her relationship with girlfriend Ro. Ben can barely conceal his confusion (jealousy?) as he attempts to partake in the convo.

Later on, the crew decide to head out to celebrate, with a dolled up Emily catching Nico and Kelley’s attention right away. The duel to the death is ON! Lauren begins to suspect Nico’s crush on Emily when he cozies up to her on the tender, but reality hits her smack in the face once they get to dinner. Nico’s laser-like attention on Emily cannot be denied, and Lauren feels like she’s been playing the fool in this lover’s dance all along.

Kelley also notices Nico advancing his chess game, but claims he’s not threatened. For him, this is a marathon rather than a sprint. He’s waiting in the wings to strike.

Now thoroughly depressed about being rejected, Lauren refuses to join the group for dancing, walking down to the beach to pout instead. Kelley joins her, but can’t quite manage to cheer her up. Plus, he’s got some macking to do on Emily back in the club, so he’s gotta get out of here!

Back at the club, Nico wonders what Lauren’s damage is??? “Dude, she likes you!” Ben tells him plainly, which seems like it comes as an utter surprise to the clueless Nico, who then heads down to the beach to comfort Lauren. But he’s not of much help, as Lauren just wants to be left alone. She’s hurting and doesn’t want the source of her pain comforting her right now.

Now left alone with Emily, Kelley starts making his moves. You know, like getting Emily liquored up, waxing poetic about Ramen noodles, and telling her that Nico already has a girlfriend. WHAT!? Shots fired! Shots fired!!!! Emily is disgusted with men who flirt with other women, all while having “other connections” back home. She does not approve! Kelley’s all “oops” about his revelation, which seems like a boldfaced lie. (Is he lying? What the f–k is going on here!?!?!?)

Back on board, things get messier as a drunken Nico knocks on Sierra’s door to attempt a kiss! Sierra runs out of her room screaming with laughter, relaying the bizarre story to Kate immediately. “Are you kidding me?” questions Kate, who does not know that at this very moment, Nico has now made his way into Emily’s room. Where he’s trying to get with her! Emily questions him about having a girlfriend, which Nico claims “was, like months ago,” but she’s not biting tonight anyway. She sends Nico packing with only a ratty towel in hand. He might need that later.

The next morning, Lauren wants to put the pain and embarrassment of the previous night behind her, hoping Nico doesn’t broach the issue of her being upset at all. Meanwhile, Emily and Sierra compare notes on the #FullFrontalNicoMeltown of last night, which both ladies find more hilarious than menacing.

Kelley just hopes Nico and Lauren can work together now, because he does not want to lose another deckhand.

Speaking of deckhands, Kyle comes aboard and is immediately told by Captain Lee that he needs to TRIM THAT BEARD. He also is barely intelligible, even by British Ben, as his thick Northern English dialect is pretty much indecipherable by everyone aboard. Thus, he can insult everyone undetected! Sweet.

Below deck, Nico is making his apology tour. First stop: Emily, who calls Nico out on trying to make out with two girls in one night. He admits he was drunk and stupid. Emily seems to let it roll off her back. She is clearly not interested in this messy dude.

As Kyle settles in, he gets to know Lauren and Kelley. Kyle is from Manchester, has a child, and seems up for adventure. Nico is back in working mode with the deck crew, but avoids getting deep with Lauren…for now. Lauren has also been filled in about Nico’s kissing adventures from the previous night, so it’s probably in his best interest that he keeps his distance! “He’s just not the guy I thought he was,” sighs Lauren.

Down in the engine room later, Nico does attempt to talk things out with Lauren. But she’s not up for this heart to heart, instead hoping that her initial feelings for Nico fade in time. She’s willing to at least give the friendship/coworker thing a try with Nico for the good of the order, which definitely wins her the award for Most Mature Person Ever to appear on this – or any other – season of Below Deck!

As the charter guests arrive, they’re greeted with the usual champagne, smiles, and a tour. They seem like a low key, fun family who Kate won’t have to wax the fetid back hair off of. So, looks promising!

Kyle also looks promising, as he does his job without complaint (are you watching this, Trevor??). Kelley is thrilled with this upgrade! Which is much deserved after the Trevor Torture he endured these past many weeks.

In the crew mess, Kyle is immediately drawn to Sierra, who he describes hilariously as “having the Alaskan face.” She’s “cold weather” and sturdy enough for this Manchester boy, apparently, and he looks to be wasting no time hitting that up.

Kate thinks the sexual tension on Valor is getting out of control, and that Emily should just take her damn pick of men already and relieve them all! “Someone, anyone – I don’t care!” laments Kate, who seems to have sniffed out Ben’s low key interest in Emily as well.

But no one will be relieving any sexual tension at the moment, as it’s all hands on deck to entertain the charter guests with water toys and drinks, followed by lunch. Kate is concerned about how much the charter parents are allowing their young-ish daughters to drink, so she decides to do the motherly thing and water down their drinks going forward.

Maybe she should try this with Nico’s drinks next time they’re out as well? It might prevent him from kissing her, Captain Lee, a lamp post, or hair waxing strips in the future. You know, any port in a storm!

Jenelle Evans Baby Daddy David Eason Sentenced To 60 Days In Jail!

Well, well, who’s surprised that Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans gets to add to the family mugshot collection? Honestly, it oughtta be a coffee table book at this point. This time the culprit is Jenelle’s baby daddy David Eason, who has been sentenced to 60 days in jail for violating a protective order against his ex-girlfriend and child.

In March, David, who has a criminal record and previously served time in prison, violated a no contact domestic violence protection order regarding his son Kaden. The order was filed last October by Kaden’s mother, David‘s ex, who he’s also not permitted contact with.

Per the report, obtained by Us Weekly: “Defendant was in the same location as his child … who was out with his grandmother … and aunt, when defendant approached same and hugged. [He] was told not to … and grabbed the child again.” The incident occurred in a grocery store. I am assuming David followed them into the store and this wasn’t a random encounter?

David pleaded not guilty, but the judge disagreed and sentenced him to 60 days in jail. David appealed, but no court date has been set.

Well this is good timing – Jenelle is currently pregnant with her third child, a daughter she and David plan to name Ensley. Jenelle is due in January, so hopefully his jail time won’t interfere with the birth. If they’re even still together by then.

The Teen Mom 2 star defended David on Twitter, blaming Kaden’s mom and the judge. Because, accountability – what’s that?! Jenelle said David appealed the ‘no contact’ order, but uhhhh… good luck with that, Violator!

“This is old news. LOL. He appealed the decisions in regular court and waiting on a court date. He does not have to do 60 days,” Jenelle tweeted, as reported by The Ashley.

“The no contact order expires Oct. 22nd then he will be filing for visitation for his son that his ex is refusing to let David see,” Jenelle continued. “The judge found him guilty saying ‘an unwanted hug is a form of child abuse’, same judge that granted the no contact order and that wrote up his custody papers when he had no way to even fight against his ex, the judge even knew this. She hates David.”

Jenelle also whined that the judge was dismissive of David in court and refused to listen to his side of the story – even though David was represented by super attorney Dustin Sullivan!

Jenelle should be accustomed to her baby daddies disappearing behind bars. She’s had plenty of experience with that courtesy of Nathan Griffith. Of course Jenelle is no angel herself. <snicker> She’s also no stranger to custody drama.

In addition to Kaden, David is also the father of a daughter named Maryssa, who appears on Teen Mom 2. Jenelle has complained endlessly about the unfairness of creepy Uncle Dave‘s custody woes with Kaden, and insists he’s a good dad. I guess this jail time isn’t gonna bode well for changing the judge’s mind. Jenelle and David have been together for a year.

Shannon Beador Isn’t Afraid Of Vicki Gunvalson

The Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador is talking all things Vicki Gunvalson after last night’s episode, which was very Shannon/Vicki-centric.

Shannon begins, “I want to be clear. I never expected Vicki to call me or say “thank you” after I left her a message. I did, however, expect a text or some acknowledgment that she received my message. I didn’t call Vicki to “save face” and it certainly wasn’t weeks later either, it was days.”

“Vicki was saying some unkind things about me at the party and when I was literally standing two feet in front of her, I was not going to act like I was in middle school and ignore it.” Actually ignoring it would’ve been adult behavior…

Shannon speaks some truth here: “In the three years that I have known Vicki, one thing is certain — that she has mastered the art of deflection.” She continues, calling bullshit on Vicki knowing any ‘secrets’ about her.  “In true Vicki fashion, she accused me of lying. I do not lie and I have not lied. She is making something up…again. And I was blown away at her threats to me during her interview commentary. She claims to have secrets about my marriage and that is a joke. I am an open book that let everyone into a humiliating affair last year. We all know Vicki has the reputation of lying and deflection. To hear Donn say that Vicki is a “lying sack of dog s***” in the flashback kind of says it all.” Tell us how you really feel, Shannon!

Shannon is fed up with it all and she wants it known that she is NOT afraid of Vicki. “I have grown quite tired of people telling me that I haven’t moved on from my issues with Vicki so I went into Heather’s book party with the intent of having fun with her. I will never be her good friend, but that doesn’t mean I can’t share a cocktail or a laugh with her from time to time. So when I made the effort to do just that, it was almost hurtful to hear Tamra and Heather say that they think that I am “afraid of Vicki” or that my interaction with her was “odd”. Which is it? I never have been or will be afraid of Vicki Gunvalson. I will say one thing — had I been aware of the nasty threats and lies Vicki was conjuring up behind my back, I never would have made an effort to interact with her at all.”

Shannon says the cast trip is crazytown and judging from the preview we saw last night, she’s not kidding. “I was excited when Meghan announced a trip to Ireland! I have always wanted to travel there! It is truly an insane trip, and not all in a good way. Until then…”

Sonja Morgan Comes Up Short Trying To Open A Restaurant & Bethenny Frankel Is Blamed

In all honesty, that Tipsy Girl vs. Skinnygirl fight was painful to witness during the last Real Housewives of New York season. It was just a way bigger deal than I ever expected it to be and I still find it a little weird that Bethenny Frankel somehow felt threatened by Sonja Morgan’s business attempt. There is room for all of the Real Housewives to market their own liquor brands, so I don’t get how Bethenny could be upset with Sonja for trying to do the same. Sonja is trying to open a Tipsy Girl restaurant, which obviously did not work out, and now Bethenny is getting blamed?

That makes no sense to me. Yes, Bethenny is a super successful liquor mogul, but there is no way that she has that much power. Come on. As much as I love and root for Sonja, we all know that restaurant was never ever going to come to fruition. It just seems like Bethenny is a scapegoat to me.

According to Page Six, Sonja has been trying to open up a restaurant called Tipsy Girl (of course) and has stumbled upon a major road block since she failed to acquire a liquor license. Apparently, this has been going on for a while since the State Liquor Authority denied the liquor license back in February as well.

Apparently the board was put off by the request because “that [the] ‘Tipsy Girl’ brand was a plotline on the reality TV show the ‘Real House Wives of New York’ [sic], on which [Morgan] appears as a cast member and that the location was in fact intended to be a destination location that would be promoted through a buried plotline on the reality television show.” Not everyone wants to be associated with reality TV. That’s pretty understandable so I don’t get why Bethenny is the one getting blamed for this.

It seems like a far stretch to me. I really doubt that this was even on Bethenny’s radar, to be honest.

Terra Jole Says It “Feels Like Being Hit By A Car” To Compete On “Dancing With The Stars”

It’s so crazy that Terra Jole threw herself into Dancing With the Stars just a couple weeks after giving birth to her second child. I’m a (relatively) healthy person and I feel like I would die from the rigor of competing on Dancing with the Stars, so I have no idea how a new mom is able to do that so soon. So it’s really not at all surprising that Terra opened up about how strenuous the show is on her body.

Not only is Terra a mother to a newborn, but she is also a little person, so she really has a lot to manage when it comes to competing in such a physical competition. And even with all that, she is still doing very well on show.

Terra opened to Us Weekly about the difficulties of being a contestant on Dancing With the Stars. The Little Women: LA star revealed, “I was actually scared when we first started, petrified is probably a better word because it was only three weeks out of my C-section, and I had to get a doctor’s approval just to be able to do the show!” THREE WEEKS!? Wow. I have no idea how she’s pulling this off.

Terra added, “It was definitely scary. Most people aren’t allowed to do heavy exercising or even take a bath until six weeks after. So the fact that now not only am I dancing with Sasha [Farber], but I’m doing well, I feel like I’m my own biggest competitor in this world. Everyone keeps asking me, ‘Who’s your biggest competition on the show?’ But honestly it’s myself because each week I just want to get better and better.” Good for her, though. She honestly is really getting this shit done.

Yeah, Terra is doing well, but that doesn’t mean that she isn’t in some serious pain. Terra explained,  “Every different dance makes my body hurt for a totally different reason. I compare it to like, being hit by a car but in different directions!” Oh god. And in contrast I get winded walking up a big flight of stairs. That shit sounds painful.

As a fan of the show, Terra didn’t think it was going to be as tough as it actually is. Terra admitted, “It’s definitely way harder than I ever expected it to be. I was obsessed with the show before I was a part of it! You think looking at the show, ‘Ugh, why doesn’t that person just point her toe more?’ or ‘Why doesn’t she put more emotion into it?’ But then when you’re in it yourself, you realize just how difficult it is.” I never thought that it looked easy. From keeping your outfit in place, to moving around and doing all that crazy stuff. I never thought it looked easy, but yeah I have no idea how a mother to a newborn is pulling this off so well. Good for her.
