When oh when will these reality TV stars learn that they can't just lie about facts on TV? Take Kenya Moore during tonight's second installment of the Real Housewives of Atlanta...Here we go! Holiday or not, the reunion rages on! Part 2 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion airs tonight (now!) and the ladies are back for more rehashing of the past season.
Cynthia Bailey shared her thoughts on this year’s reunion – and her reunion look, “I felt great going into the reunion. I am a closure girl, and that’s what the reunion is all about for me. I embrace the recap, the conversation, the opinions, and the moving forward that comes with the reunion. Not to mention, I absolutely loved my look: dress, hair, and makeup. I usually go for a more fashion forward, edgier style, but this year I wanted to look a little more girly and softer.”
She thinks Andy Cohen was definitely the King of Shade on part 1. Let’s see if he keeps it going tonight! “Andy was definitely being shady when he said, “I’m not Kim Fields”! Andy was throwing shade all over the place, from the time he sat down until the time he left. We are the queens of shade and he is definitely the king!”

In preparation for occupying Moore Manor, the Real Housewives Of Atlanta star is liquidating the contents of her current home by throwing a big, huge moving sale with all proceeds going to charity. And lucky us – Kenya is inviting all of Team Twirl via Instagram. Let’s hope there are actual items for sale, not just smoke and mirror like at the Moore Headcase Haircare Launch.
Perhaps Kenya is also selling things in order to make room for a nursery?

The sale takes place tomorrow, so if you’re in the Atlanta area and dying for your own personal piece of Team Twirl (or you just want to stalk the mayhem and the goods, and hopefully have a Kenya sighting) – get over there! Kenya is hosting the sale in partnership with Jackson Charles Home which she explains is “the best and possibly only black owned upscale furniture stores.”

Kenya hasn’t specified which charity the proceeds are going to – hopefully NOT Detroit Public Schools after that last debacle, or Not My Daughter, after that last debacle, but I’m sure we’ll hear if any shenanigans occur.

Anyone remember when Phaedra Parks went to Mortuary College and we all assumed it was a passing fancy? It turns out the Real Housewives Of Atlanta star is very devoted to her work with the deceased and presently juggles Phunerals by Phaedra alongside her law practice. (BTW: I made up the name Phunerals By Phaedra – it’s not an actual company).
So how does Phaedra find time to deal with judge and jury and the aftermath? Everybody knows a southern belle must multitask!
“The funeral business is really an overnight and weekend business. Saturday is the funeral day for people of color, usually,” Phaedra explains. “And of course, the courthouses and law firms are closed on Saturdays.”

“If I’m embalming a body, it’s usually overnight,” she adds. “It’s the quietest time of the night that you’re doing the embalming work.” It sounds so… dastardly! Seriously, how is Phunerals by Phaedra not a spinoff yet?
Phaedra even embalmed her grandmother after she passed in 2012.
I always assumed dealing with her Real Housewives Of Atlanta co-stars made Phaedra prefer working with the dead, but it turns out that several family and personal tragedies inspired her to get into the funeral business.

“I went through a very terrible time about two years straight. My sister passed, my law partner died, and two of my friends committed suicide. I became so depressed that it sparked something in me,” Phaedra tells Page Six.
Well I gotta hand it to Phaedra she certainly is the Real Housewife with the most varied endeavors – no wine collections or fashion lines for her; she’s got tasers, an embalming license, and legalese. Oh and workout videos… maybe.
I do have to wonder – how does Phaedra deal with deceased friendships?

Just a few short months after the Real Housewives of New Jersey table-flipping cookbook maven was released from prison, her husband Juicy Joe has started his forty-one month sentence for bankruptcy fraud and that pesky driver’s license debacle.
Just as with Teresa’s jail stint, the family has remained upbeat about Joe’s time away, almost pretending like it’s not a real thing. The couple has been spending time together in the same manner they have for years–fighting off rumors of infidelity and pregnancies as their daughters run rampant around their nouveau riche castle.

Earlier this week, Joe took up residence at Fort Dix. His attorney released a statement to People, asserting, “Joe Giudice surrendered himself to the Federal Correctional Institution at Fort Dix today at 12 p.m. to begin serving his sentence.”
He continues, “His brother, his sister and several other members of the Giudice family, as well as myself, were present when he turned himself in to the prison, including Teresa. It was obviously a very emotional day, but this is a very strong family with a tremendous support system and they will get through this, just as they did when Teresa was away.”
We all know that Teresa spent her eleven months doing yoga, writing a bestseller, and palling around with her cellmates, but what is in store for Joe? Speaking to Us Weekly, a former Fort Dix employee gives some insight into Joe’s life behind bars. He notes that Joe will be allowed $300 a month to spend at weekly commissary visits for items like deodorant and gym shorts.

The insider shares, “If he’s not in the camp, he’ll be assigned to a low- to medium-security housing unit, where there are 12 to 18 inmates in a room.,” adding, “Joe won’t be watched if he goes to the bathroom or showers [if this is where he is housed].”
While Joe will likely miss his wife’s home cooked meals, the retiree notes, “The food isn’t bad–a lot of chicken, vegetables, a salad bar and even some desserts, depending on the day of the week.”
Joe will be allowed to see his family during monitored visits as well as keep in touch via the phone. The source explains, “He has 300 minutes of phone time per month and has to pay by the minute. He will also have access to rudimentary email…but can’t go on the internet.”
In a separate statement to the site, Joe’s attorney reveals, “It was obviously a very emotional day, but this is a very strong family with a tremendous support system, and they will get through this, just as they did when Teresa was away.”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta stars Kenya Moore, NeNe Leakes, Cynthia Bailey and Kandi Burruss were all photographed at events this week. Kenya was in Miami to attend the TREND Group and Granite Transformations global rebranding and “Immense” product collection launch event at Temple House. Cynthia Bailey was seen at the Jazz in the Gardens Music Festival with Married to Medicine stars Dr. Heavenly Kimes and Lisa Nicole Cloud in Miami. NeNe Leakes and husband Gregg were in Vegas for the fourth annual “One Night for ONE DROP” imagined by Cirque du Soleil, a show that raises awareness and funds for critical water issues worldwide.

I’ve got to give it to one of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills newbies. Can Kathryn Edwards blog or can Kathryn Edwards blog? While her entries may be a bit verbose (so I love them, but I’ve cut some content), Kathryn maneuvers the Internet like a professional. She may not always make the best impressions while filming, but Kathryn is thoughtful and calculated enough to express herself in her Bravo blogs in a manner that makes her appear both sincere and balanced. Who’s taking sides? Not Kathryn! At least, not really…girlfriend should teach a class. Co-star Eileen Davidson could benefit…
She rehashes this week’s episode with panache. Starting with a slew of compliments for Yolanda Foster (K-Ed knows never to kick a RHOBH star when they’re down), Kathryn writes, “I hope this time of year finds everyone well…I love spring as everything turns green and begins to bloom again. Last week you saw a few of us ladies (Yolanda, Kyle [Richards], Erika [Girardi] and I) head to New York to attend Yolanda’s Global Lyme Alliance gala. Well tonight you got to see the event and hear some of the honorees speak of their battle with Lyme. I was so appreciative to be invited and attend this event for a few reasons–namely, to support Yolanda in her battle against this very debilitating disease while trying to bring awareness to it and help others.”

Distancing herself from anything that could be considered smack talk, Kathryn makes a veteran move. She blames editing! Way to go, sister! Kathryn recalls, “Listening to the other honorees talk about their experiences and hearing similar words from all of them had a resonating feeling. It must be incredibly frustrating to feel so ill and not have people believe you or question your integrity. As if it’s not enough to wonder when you’ll ever feel normal again, but then to have your family, friends and loved ones look at you as if you are doing this to garner sympathy…that’s a big accusation, one that I would never feel comfortable to make.”
She continues, “I have never doubted Yolanda’s illness, I have been very vocal about that, whether you saw it on the show or not. I was not bothered by her lack of makeup and the way she presented herself at any time. When we were sitting at the table Kyle, Erika and I were talking about the comments that were made on Yolanda’s appearance. Kyle said that she felt horrible about it and then there was a subtitle of me saying ‘that [Lisa] Vanderpump and [Lisa] Rinna did it too.’ This is about comments made on Yolanda’s lack of makeup, not about Munchhausen’s. No one thinks Yolanda has Munchausen’s. This was a term that Rinna repeated, much to her regret, but let me be clear…Kyle nor Lisa VDP ever said that Yolanda has or had Munchausen’s.”
Tackling that too-amazing-for-words trip and accommodations, Kathryn warns, “This next topic might get a bit lengthy but it was very memorable so I apologize in advance if I get a little long winded. Dubai! First, I have to say that Delta Airlines took very good care of us. We arrived at LAX and went through Delta One check-in…it’s a a seamless entrance to a long flight, and it’s a treat if you ever get a chance to fly first through Los Angeles. Once we arrived in Atlanta we were whisked away from the plane to the Delta lounge by private car…this was a first for me. Loved it! Atlanta is a huge airport and the distance from one gate to another can be a half marathon, so this was a welcome luxury. The flight was smooth and we landed ready for an adventure.”
Kathryn gushes, “This was my first time to Dubai, and I was up for everything. When we finally made it to our destination and pulled in to The Atlantis, The Palm hotel, I was thrilled. The sights, the sounds, the smells, the taste…everything made me feel as if I was half-way around the world, and I loved it! Our suites were out of this world beautiful! We were treated like royalty. Everyone was assigned a concierge who was available to us 24/7, and it was nothing short of perfect. I was happy to share a suite with Erika, because I felt like we finally got over all of the drama while we were in New York and now could finally laugh and enjoy ourselves.” Hey, Kathryn…I know it’s semantics, but you technically were “half-way around the world.”
She adds, “Walking into Kyle and Lisa VDP’s suite was like walking into something you could only ever dream about but never expect to see. A-mazing! I wish I would have worn one of the kaftans I brought but thankfully Kyle gave all of us ladies a beautiful one, and I couldn’t wait to put it on and really feel in the moment. The conversation started off so nice and light hearted but it quickly turned, and I wish it wouldn’t have. It seems as though all of the re-hashing of feelings and moments is what we do best…I really hoped this wasn’t the case,” lamenting, “As I sat there listening to Lisa Rinna talk about her feelings toward Yolanda, I thought that it must be tied to her dislike for Kim [Richards] and Brandi [Glanville] and that Rinna’s distaste for those two bleeds into her views of Yolanda. I don’t know…I just want to have fun…and then Rinna brings up the dinner at Erika’s and asks her how she felt. Really? On our first night when everything is going so great? Why?”
The newbie concludes, “I was happy that Lisa VDP said that she knows that Erika didn’t mean it ‘mean spirited’ because it seemed to squelch the topic and we could all resume a celebratory night and at least toast friendship for a little while. It seems as though mountains are made out of mole hills and unless something is exposed and turned into a devious plan to undermine someone, in a way it was never intended, then some people in this group aren’t happy. Note to self: When trying to choose words carefully so as not to incite new riots, do not use the word ‘like’…just give a bored look and wait for a new victim, I mean subject. As always, ending on a positive note I’ll say this: We live in a world of so many cultures and beliefs and being able to travel shows us how small our personal life is in the big picture, but the one great truth, that is universal to all people, everywhere, is love and kindness.”
Kathryn, you are spot on with your observations, but please, for the love of all things RHOBH, please stop referring to Lisa Vanderpump as VDP. Thank you.
