Race to Survive: New Zealand Episode 7 Recap: Pulling an All-Nighter

Ready for another race? Well, you better be ready because there are no breaks on Race to Survive: New Zealand!

Last week, the racers completed the treacherous Race 3, which sent them spelunking into a cave of nightmares. For Race 4, they’re keeping things fully above sea level, but it’s still full of surprises. There’s no more 12-hour race clock, meaning the survivors were free to keep racing through the jungle in the cover of darkness. What could go wrong?

Here’s what went down on Race to Survive: New Zealand Episode 7, “Kahuranghi Coast.”

Race 4, Day 1

Race to Survive: New Zealand Episode 7

After Race 3 took out both the Ultramarathoners and the Cool Moms, only five teams remained. Slowly, we’re working our way down to a final three, and Race 4 introduced one of the toughest navigational challenges yet.

Race 4 is called Kahuranghi, and although there are no caves this time around, it’s just as bonkers. First, they have to navigate to a rocky cliffside and do something called “coasteering.” This is one of those activities that we never knew existed, but it’s basically like Ninja Warrior, except you’re on the side of a cliff above a bunch of choppy water.

After coasteering, the racers have to make their way into the jungle for miles and miles of bushwhacking. After a slight break from the forest and an optional food cache, the final zone is a forest maze with a ton of winding game trails. Only one path leads out to the Survival Crate.

As if this course wasn’t already complicated, they added an extra little caveat. Rather than having a 12-hour race clock, Race 4 has no time constraints. The racers are free to run into the night, and they can choose to camp whenever and wherever they want. It sounds dangerous, but that’s what these contestants love.

Another day, another injury

As Race 4 got started, everyone was feeling the pressure. With only five teams on the course, it’s much harder to stay out of the bottom.

Of course, the River Guides have been the team to beat, so Smokejumpers felt compelled to try to give them a run for their money, literally. They took off jogging down the beach, trying to create a good pace and put distance between the other teams.

Usually, the Hunters, Ryan and Bronsen would have been right there with them. Those three teams have been at the front of the pack throughout every race. However, for the first time this season, the Hunters were showing signs of struggling.

Ryan fell during Race 2 and hurt his knee. Occasionally, we’ve heard him comment about the knee, but for the most part, he’s been pushing through. In Race 4, all of the pain came creeping up on him, slowing their pace tremendously.

At this point, we’ve had three teams sustain injuries, ranging from concussions to sprains. With Ryan’s knee acting up, it’s starting to seem like the father and son-in-law duo could be the fourth team to leave with an injury. Couple that with the fact that this course allows the racers to run into the night. This seems like a recipe for disaster.

12 hours and counting

For the first time on Race to Survive, the race clock ticked well past the 12-hour mark. Usually when the clock strikes that 12-hour mark, the racers have to stop where they’re at and camp out for the night. Instead, they had full control over whether or not they wanted to keep pushing.

This twist added an extra element of endurance to an already grueling race. No one wanted to be the first team to call it quits for the night and risk losing their place in the race. As nighttime came, the racers pushed on, regardless of how dangerous it was to bushwhack through the jungle in total darkness.

The Smokejumpers and the River Guides maintained a lead with Pauina and Creighton on their tails. In fourth place, the Hunters were slowly making their way through the course, all while trying to mitigate the pain of Ryan’s injury.

Last, but certainly not least, were the Oil Riggers. The Canadian duo opted for a slower pace during this race, noting that they wanted to stay safe throughout all of the obstacles of Race 4. With as many injuries that have happened this season, going slow and trying not to break a bone might actually be the smartest strategy.

Creighton’s killing spree

Creighton Baird crouching inside of a tent on Race to Survive: New Zealand

Throughout this season of Race to Survive, Creighton has made it very clear that he’s motivated by food. He was the first person to track down goose eggs. He learned how to hunt for eels. This week, Creighton went on a full-blown killing spree.

As he and Paulina were making their way through the forest, he spotted the cutest little hedgehog, just chilling and minding his own business. Thanks to the pressures of this show, Creighton didn’t see an innocent forest-dwelling creature. He saw dinner, and he killed it, right there in cold blood.

Moments later, Creighton spotted another hedgehog. He killed that one too. Paulina couldn’t watch, and all of a sudden, their divorce started making more sense.

Eventually, the Divorcees caught up with the River Guides, something that rarely happens. Upon their arrival, Creighton revealed that he had killed four hedgehogs! Four. His backpack was covered in blood. Someone from PETA is probably somewhere filing a complaint right now.

After showing off his bag full of hedgehog corpses, he decided to walk down to the river and clean out their guts. Then, the unthinkable happened. An eel swam right up to Creighton, and he caught it with his bare hands. Truly, insane stuff.

We’ve seen a lot of triumphant moments so far on Race to Survive, but Creighton’s enthusiasm about catching the eel will go unmatched. New Zealand has changed this man.

The Smokejumpers cross the finish line

While the rest of the competitors decided to call it quits for the night, the Smokejumpers kept pushing on through the course. Who needs sleep when there’s a Survival Crate to push for?

Helping motivate the Smokejumpers was the fact that it was the death anniversary of Ethan’s father. Both Ethan and Tyrie said they were drawing on the strength from their departed loved ones to push forward in the race. It worked. In an incredible feat of athleticism, the Smokejumpers crossed the finish line in first place after traveling 25 miles in just over 20 hours.

As the first-place finishers, they got the first pick at goodies in the Survival Crate. They opted for a big box of kiwis. Would they have preferred a giant block of bacon? Probably. Either way, the Smokejumpers were on cloud nine thanks to their first-place finish. Meanwhile, the rest of the racers were scattered around the course, eating hedgehogs and nursing their injuries. Suddenly, it’s starting to look like the dynamics of this race are shifting.

Race to Survive: New Zealand continues on USA Network, Monday nights at 11/10c.

Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14, Episode 9 Recap: A Wedding and a War

Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14, Episode 9 recap
Photo Credit: Astrid Stawiarz via Getty Images

Welcome back to the city that knows how to hold a grudge like a champ, unless someone’s swayed to change alliances, because the taking down of Margaret is hard, people! That said, this week on Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14, Episode 9, “Behind Frenemy Lines,” Jennifer and Danielle share some conflicting narratives over their physical altercation. Don’t they know the cameras were rolling? Meanwhile, Danielle’s Boujie Kidz relaunch party brings in even more drama, which shocked me zero. Catch what I mean now via this RHONJ Season 14, Episode 9 recap.

Love is love, and hate is hate

Teresa and Luis have a lot to clean up, since their Tulum party wrecked havoc in New Jersey. As for the physical altercation between Tre’s two friends though, Tre remembers very little.

Across town, Margaret’s anxiety is ramping up. Joe B’s numbers have shot up, so tests for prostrate cancer are underway. He won’t let her “fondle away” her concerns on him though. Sads.

Down another road, Danielle’s still ticked off at Jennifer. “She’s out to destroy,” Danielle notes, adding that she went into “complete self-defense mode” once Jennifer threw that first hit. Danielle thinks that overall, Jennifer “has no use for her” now, since Danielle’s refusing to play dirty anymore. So guess what Jennifer, you can’t come to Danielle’s party now.

As for Dolores, she is starting her new company with Paulie. She’s “emotionally drained,” but not enough to hide her curiosity, wondering if the uninvited guests have heard about the physical altercation yet. Right on cue, Rachel calls, saying that she knows, because the bloggers are talking. But Rachel cares little, because she’s volunteering with a juvenile arthritis group, mentoring children who might feel less-than, simply because of their joint troubles.

The rain then arrives in New Jersey, right in time for “Father Joe’s” turn at the pulpit. Melissa’s cousin is walking the aisle, and he asked for Joe to officiate. As this cousin came out to Joe, and his partner “doesn’t have a family,” Joe feels close to these two grooms.

He explains this in his confessional, saying “She [Teresa] won’t be at my kid’s weddings. My nieces will be getting married, and I’m not gonna be there.” Joe then praises Melissa’s clan for filling in this family-sized hole within his heart.

The wedding itself provides a gorgeous scene, and a great way to bring Pride Month to a close.

Jennifer’s side

Teresa and Jenn Fessler arrive at Jennifer’s mansion, starving. Jenn asks Jennifer how she’s doing, and Jennifer responds that Danielle “crushed her freakin’ drink on me, girl.” Unable to understand how this happened, Teresa asks Jennifer to “show her.” They stand, and Jennifer acts out how Danielle got into her face, explaining that this is why she simply pushed her away, because Danielle needed to back up.

Jennifer then explains the “red flags” between Danielle and her hairdresser, which Teresa understands. Yet, she hates that she’s now stuck in the middle between Danielle and Jennifer. Even still, Teresa is going to attend Danielle’s party, which saddens Jennifer. She “would never” befriend someone who had hit one of her friends.

Bad news

Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14, Episode 9 recap
Photo Credit: Bravo via YouTube TV

Margaret calls Joe’s doctor for his test results. They are ordering an MRI, because “it was abnormal.” There’s a chance that it’s prostrate cancer, but if so, it’s very early, so, in Joe’s words, “it’s not the end of the world.” It is to Margaret though, who weeps, overcome with anxiety.

Cancer and I have a longstanding hatred. Sending you hugs, Marge and Joe. This was a tough watch, but the pair have done some great work in raising awareness. Get your checks, men! The big C doesn’t discriminate.

A Boujie Kidz blow-up

Finally, Danielle’s Boujie Kidz relaunch arrives. Cue Messy Fessy, telling Danielle about how Jennifer described their fight. Danielle disagrees, saying she wasn’t pushed, as instead, “she [Jennifer] yoked” her. And Danielle “couldn’t punch her,” because she “had a drink in” her hand.

Jenn then tries to bring peace to Teresa and Gia Giudice, explaining that John didn’t bring up Gia’s name to start a fight. Jenn then heads to the other side, retelling her costars about this latter conversation. Rachel exclaims “You’re obsessed with me,” and walks away.

In her confessional, Rachel explains that she has asked Jenn multiple times “to not get involved,” asking “what part of don’t defend my husband are you not understanding?” Margaret also tells Jenn that she’s “gotta stop campaigning for her [Rachel].” Likewise, a fully frustrated Melissa asks, “Why are you talking to a child about adult conversations?”

Jenn heads over to Dolores, who stands confused. Jenn was only trying to bring the peace, right? Margaret walks over to explain, reminding Jenn to not “talk about John Fuda and Gia in the same sentence.” Mad, Jenn strongly stresses that “they said it,” so don’t hate on her.

Melissa and Rachel are over it. Rachel thinks Jennifer is “up Teresa’s ass.” Jenn then hysterically mocks Rachel in her confessional.

To the window (from a wedding), to the wall (to this war). ‘Til the sweat drop down my balls everything (Sup, Florida). ‘Til all these b*tches crawl (back into their places of Namaste), I’ll be here, recapping this mess as it airs.

Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 continues every Sunday on Bravo at 8/7c.

How Jackie Goldschneider’s RHONJ Gamble on Teresa Giudice Has Backfired

RHONJ star Jackie Goldschneider on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen
Photo Credit: Charles Sykes/Bravo via Getty Image

Jackie Goldschneider is currently playing with house money on RHONJ when it comes to her friendship with Teresa Giudice. But the dealer, aka the fans, can see this won’t end with a pot of gold at the end of the night. Jackie seemed like a strong, intelligent woman when she came on the series. But now, that intelligence is being questioned. The once proud Jackie is now looking like a pawn to Tre. And we all know this isn’t going to end well.

Teresa’s friendship is fleeting

I thought Jackie was smart. I mean, the woman is a lawyer and a writer; you just can’t be that blind to the truth. RHONJ Season 14 shows fans that Jackie truly believed she was starting to form a lifelong friendship with the OG. But Tre had other ideas. She sets her sights on a costar who has a plethora of information and tries to shake it out of them. While at the Zentuary with Jennifer Aydin and Dolores Catania, Tre let her cards show. The ladies are at war, and the series is no longer about an actual friend group but rather clear sides.

Teresa, who clearly thinks of herself as a general, is strategically planning the methodical takedown of Margaret Josephs. During the Zen conversation, Dolo noted that Jackie isn’t as nice as she pretends to be. In this moment, Teresa reveals what her true motives are for her new blooming friendship.

“Who cares about Jackie?” Tre asked Dolores. “I just need her to take down Margaret.” She further opened up in confessional, pointing to her and Jackie’s volatile past. “Karma’s a bitch,” Teresa laughed. Checkmate, Jackie.

Jackie Goldschneider’s RHONJ intentions aren’t clear, but they feel murky

Most people back Margaret after she sent Jackie’s text message abuse about Dolores to Dolores herself. The move was savage, but it is clear that The Marge had grown tired of Jackie; someone she’d stuck by through thick and thin in the past.

I am not sure Jackie actually thought about the repercussions of befriending Tre. She surely didn’t predict Marge’s actions, despite warnings she had an arsenal in prior seasons. For me, the main issue with Jackie’s “friendship” with Teresa is that she was a fan before joining the show. Thankfully, photos last a lifetime, and we’ve all seen Jackie at Tre’s book signing.

The other bit that gets me is Jackie’s mean words for Teresa for the last few seasons. There was the time Jackie made an analogy about Gia Giudice doing drugs that didn’t land well with the mother bear. On a Watch What Happens Live episode, Andy Cohen asked Jackie, “What do you admire the most about Teresa as a businesswoman?” After an extremely long pause, she answered, “She knows how to license her name on things.”

Andy launched another probe, asking, “Out of her four New York Times bestselling books, which is your favorite to read?” The question was a clear reference to the photo of Jackie at an early book signing. But the lawyer quipped, “I would say the last one that the ghostwriter wrote. I mean, that Teresa wrote.” So imagine fans surprise when Jackie tried to turn around this season of RHONJ, and pretend she had always had some sort of bond with Tre. The math ain’t mathing.

The RHONJ cast has plenty of opinions on Jackie and Teresa’s newfound friendship

Fans are not the only ones confused by Jackie’s move. The rest of the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast also think the move is coo-coo.

Danielle Cabral verbalized what everyone was thinking best, saying, “After all this when Teresa is like ‘yeah Jack,’ she’s going to be left on the floor like ‘Teresa, we’re best friends.’” Dolores had more of a visceral reaction about Jackie while talking to Jen and Tre, noting, “She thought she was better than me. And she still thinks she is better than the two of you. But she needs you right now.” Most costars agree that Jackie has only made friends with Tre in order to curry favor with viewers, and sell more copies of her book.

Jackie potentially pretending to be friends with someone she despised isn’t coming across well. Viewers want authenticity, but it’s lacking. To most, what Jackie is trying to do is very obvious. And while Jackie insists she has moved on from Teresa spreading rumors about her marriage, the notion still feels laughable.

At this point, I think Jackie has drunk the Kool-Aid and truly believes that if she makes friends with Tre, she will be safe from the eventual recasting. Sadly, the gamble has backfired for her. Fans are now just waiting for the moment Jackie wises up.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey is available to stream on Peacock.

Watch What Happens Live’s 15th Anniversary Special: Every Bravo Star Appearing

Andy Cohen celebrating WWHL's 15th anniversary.
Photo Credit: Charles Sykes/Bravo via Getty Images

It’s hard to believe that Andy Cohen has been gracing us with his late-night show, Watch What Happens, for the last 15 years. Andy has had some mega stars on the show, like Jennifer Lawrence and Patti LaBelle. Naturally, almost every Bravoleb has also crossed the clubhouse threshold. The show is where fans go to tune in to the latest drama. Andy has a knack for getting some of the hard-hitting questions answered, and we love him for that. Let’s take a look at who will help him ring in his big anniversary below!

Andy’s late-night pop

Andy has always had the 411 and has been the king of midnight fun for some time. Reigning supreme, Andy has built up quite the Rolodex of guests and friends. In a Bravo release, fans learned that the network would be rolling out the red carpet for some of its special guests. In a released statement, Andy gushed, “Fifteen is my new lucky number! I can’t wait to celebrate the WWHL legacy. Thank you to Bravo for always having faith in our little late-night show that could—allowing me to ‘go there,’ play ridiculous games, host incredible guests, and generate endless watercooler talk.”

For Andy, Watch What Happens Live has been a “dream job,” noting he “never wants to wake up.” Over the years, WWHL has won a Webby and been nominated for a Primetime Emmy, the GLAAD Media Awards, the MTV Movie Award, and the Critics Choice Award. The series has found a cult following who tune in every night, ensuring not to miss any drama.

The who’s who

Drum roll, please. The lineup for Watch What Happens Legacy is set to include Bravoleb stars Teresa Giudice, Milania Giudice, Sonja Morgan, Luann de Lesseps, Phaedra Parks, Porsha Williams, Jeff Lewis, and Dwight Eubanks, as well as VIPs Jerry O’Connell, Evelyn Cohen, and Lou Cohen, Andy’s parents.

Bravo noted, “The anniversary special will feature hilarious hijinks, unpredictable surprises, and a jam-packed lineup of celebrity and Bravolebrity guests. What could we possibly come up with next? You’ll have to watch what happens.” Needless to say, there will most likely be a few pop-up guests to keep the night entertaining. I would bet that a housewife from the original franchise, the Real Housewives of Orange County, might also make an appearance. As Vicki Gunvalson likes to point out, it was the show that started it all.

Andy has loyal followers

The guest list is perfect, and personally, I am thrilled to see Frick and Frack back together. Most of these Bravolebrities have become an integral part of Andy’s life. And he calls them friends. Andy and Jerry have been long-time pals with the Bravo executive, even giving Jerry a hosting gig on Bravo’s Play-by-Play. Andy has also grown close to Tre, whom he has favored for a long time. Even though he was absent from her recent wedding due to an already-planned Montana trip, the two remain close.

Luann and Sonja have famous connections, and they don’t mind doing whatever Andy asks of them. Whenever either has set foot in the Clubhouse, they have delivered great ratings and memorable moments. It is easy to see why Andy would want them as part of his big day. As for Jeff, the two have a genuine friendship. Frankly, they are one iconic duo.

Jeff has never had an issue calling out Andy for shady moves, and the host seems okay with that. The two have had a rollercoaster of a relationship and even argued on live shows. The TV special will undoubtedly touch on all his relationships with his guests and leave fans wanting more, I suspect.

When does Watch What Happens Legacy air?

Earlier this year, the network confirmed that Watch What Happens Live had been renewed through 2025. The series airs Sunday through Thursday on Bravo, with episodes available on Peacock the next day to stream. For those wondering, the TV special will air primetime on Sunday, June 30th, at 9/8c.

The Latest Shocking Allegations Against Luis Ruelas Explained

Luis Ruelas, who is facing a new slew of allegations
Photo Credit: Rich Polk/Bravo via Getty Image

It is safe to say that Luis Ruelas is not one of the most popular stars on the Real Housewives of New Jersey, and these latest allegations against him won’t do anything to help that. The businessman came in as a knight on a white horse, swooping Teresa Giudice up in a love bubble. But shortly after his grand entrance, some claimed to notice red flags.

During his first season on RHONJ, a video started to circulate showing Luis crying on the beach. Since then, many of the cast and fans have kept one eye on Luis. So when news broke recently about a new set of allegations, viewers wanted to know what was going on.

What are the latest allegations against Luis Ruelas?

It’s her party, and she will call out Luis if she wants to! A party planner recently took to social media to call out the Bravo star and his latest business venture, Vinivia, for supposedly failing to pay more than $300,000 last year after she planned the company’s launch party.

The woman of the hour, Loriann Serna, posted an Instagram Story directed right at Luis. The Wife of the Party founder wrote, “Luis Ruelas, how do we get paid?!” The photo posted featured Luis, Teresa, and their blended family attending the event.

In another post, the Wife of the Party account shared responses from followers. One fan wrote, “Everyone remember that big launch for Louie with Vinivia? Well, Louie hasn’t paid the women who put it together. She is being silenced, too, but just wait. Team Teresa will label her crazy and obsessed, too; it’s how they operate.”

Wife of the Party isn’t backing down

Loriann continued with an onslaught of posts. She even added a Q&A segment, writing, “How will you pay us the $300,000 plus you’ve owed us along with all the other vendors that are waiting? It’s been 60 days and a lot of excuses.”

The party planner took her to IG Live to further her case, arguing that they had a contract in place. Loriann claimed that she was being silenced. “I’m being told to stand down and shut up. Have grace while owed what some people pay for a home. I’m sick of shutting up,” she said.

Loriann continued: “I’m sick of the lies. I’m an honest businesswoman, so it’s my responsibility to be transparent after I’ve given so much grace to @vinivia.live just to be continuously lied to.”

She went on to also call out Stefan Graf and Marcello Genovese, Luis’ business partners, for alleged fraud. Loriann noted, “And this isn’t a dispute, to be clear, about vendors or a miscommunication or a line item because that’s a completely different thing than someone having a contract and promising to pay for services rendered and asking if they can delay the payment until Monday because a wire didn’t come in.”

The party planner added, “I want to be very clear that as this project went on, everything was requested and approved, and I have everything to show that. This wasn’t a surprise number. Marcello Genovese fully agreed and just kept giving me excuses.”

The video solidified that she was still not being paid for her work. One of the last posts showed Vinivia’s own post, tagging her as the hired party planner, writing, “When Vinivia says they can’t pay you because their investors aren’t paying them.”

What has Luis said?

In April, Luis spoke about his new venture and hinted that his entire family supported it. Luis spoke with TMZ. “This is a live-streaming platform that’s being launched on April 4, 2024, solely for creators and influencers around the world. That’s what I do for a living.”

Luis later promoted the app on social media. In a video he said, “Augmented reality and artificial intelligence is one of our specialties here at Vinivia. Has 90 Day Fiancé’s Big Ed Moved on From Liz Woods?

Ed Brown is one of the most infamous figures from the 90 Day Fiancé franchise. Ed started his journey on 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days, where he flew to the Philippines to meet Rosemarie Vega. The former couple’s relationship quickly fell apart, mainly because of Ed’s actions. Ed insulted Rose and told her that she had hairy legs and that her breath smelled bad.

Later on, during 90 Day: The Single Life Season 1, Ed met Liz Woods. Ed had a crush on Liz, and the two eventually started a rocky relationship. The pair broke up and got back together numerous times, which made their relationship exhausting to watch. After appearing on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? In Season 7, Ed and Liz began planning to marry.

The duo made their next appearance on 90 Day: The Last Resort, where they attended couples therapy. Despite making progress on The Last Resort, their relationship plummeted when they returned for Happily Ever After? Season 8. After abruptly canceling their wedding, it appears that Ed has already moved on from Liz. Did the infamous Ed Brown really move on so quickly? Or is his new relationship just for clout?

Ed blindsided Liz during Happily Ever After? Season 8

Ed and Liz were happy at the start of Happily Ever After? Season 8, and their break-up came almost out of nowhere. After moving to Arkansas together, Liz felt that her relationship with Ed was finally on track. Liz’s daughter Ryleigh was staying with them for the summer, which was supposed to conclude with their wedding.

However, after a huge fight over taco pasta, everything came to an abrupt end. Liz called out Ed for telling Ryleigh to “stop being a baby”, which he didn’t take well to. Shortly afterward, Ed called their officiant and canceled the wedding. To make matters worse, Liz didn’t find out about things until the officiant called her to apologize.

Ed and Liz’s Season 8 storyline wrapped up when Liz and her mom went to move out her things. As usual, Ed acted immature and even claimed that Liz’s mother had “abandoned her”. This caused one last fight between Ed and Liz, which caused the latter to leave in tears.

Ed recently hard-launched a new relationship

Ed surprised fans when he posted a video with a mystery woman on his Instagram page earlier this month. The video consisted of several photos as well as short video clips of Ed hanging out with the woman in New York City. While the woman doesn’t look as young as Liz, she still appears to be significantly younger than Ed. This isn’t a surprise, given the fact that he tends to gravitate towards younger women.

Although Ed hasn’t officially stated that he’s dating this new woman, it seems pretty obvious that they are a couple. Ed is hugging the woman in several of the photos, which implies a romantic relationship between the two. Furthermore, Ed has made a couple of posts that all include videos of this new mystery woman.

Liz also has a new boyfriend

Shortly after Ed posted pictures with his alleged new lady, Liz also took to Instagram to show off her new boo. Several pictures of Liz and her new boyfriend had been leaked previously, but this was the first time she posted him. Liz’s new man is evidently much closer in age to her, and seems to be making her very happy. A series of photos also showed him smiling alongside Ryleigh, as well as Liz’s mother and grandparents.

Ironically, Ed and Liz both launched their new relationships within days of one another. Perhaps this could be due to their Season 8 story wrapping up, which confirmed that there was no further future for them as a couple.

Despite their relationship coming to an end, it will be interesting to see what Ed and Liz have to say at the Season 8 Tell All. There’s clearly no chance that things rekindled between them, but they may reveal more about what led to their split. After all, there must be more to the story than the silly taco pasta!

Survivor 50: New Era Players That Should Return

Survivor Season 46 recently wrapped up, which symbolized the sixth season of the show’s New Era. It was recently confirmed that Survivor Season 50 will consist of only returning players. Season 50 will most likely have a mix of players from both the New Era and the original run, which is only fitting. The following five players from the New Era would be a great addition to Season 50, so please consider CBS!

Venus Vafa – Season 46

Venus Vafa got the short end of the stick during Season 46, and as a result deserves a second chance on Survivor 50. From the jump, Venus played a strong strategic game and did well during challenges. However, her social game struggled. After the merge, no one wanted to work with Venus although it wasn’t clear why. She genuinely tried to make alliances, but was ultimately blindsided and voted off during the final seven.

Sometimes Survivor cast members get hate from their competitors despite not really doing anything to them. Unfortunately, this was the case for Venus who was outed by many of her fellow castaways for no evidence reason. Venus brought total girl boss energy to Survivor 46, and we really hope to see her return for Season 50!

Q Burdette – Season 46

Quintavius “Q” Burdette is another player from Season 46 who is a perfect choice for Season 50. Q played an interesting game to say the least. At the start of the season he helped to carry his Yanu tribe, and later made it to the merge. This is where things started to get messy for Q, who even asked everyone to vote him out at tribal council one night. Ultimately, Q finished in sixth place, and left with an immunity idol in his pocket.

Despite being a bit of a wildcard at times, Q was extremely entertaining all season long. At one point, Q suggested a game of hide and seek for the sole purpose of finding out everyone’s strengths and weaknesses. It would be a ton of fun to watch Q on another season, as he is one of the most hilarious players in recent Survivor history.

Julie Alley – Season 45

Julie Alley played a great game during Survivor 45, and we would love to see her return for Season 50. Ironically, Julie is 50 herself, and was the oldest contestant on her season. Julie’s age didn’t stop her from dominating the game, where she did well in challenges and formed strong alliances.

Julie also pulled off some impressive blindsides on Survivor 45, and her game was well rounded. If Julie comes back for Survivor 50, she would certainly be a big threat. Please bring her back CBS producers!

Carson Garrett – Season 44

Carson Garrett played a clever game on Survivor 44, where he ended up placing fourth. Unfortunately for Carson, his fire making skills were ultimately what took him down. Carson played an excellent social game, and made allies with almost all of his fellow castaways. His strategy was near perfection from start to finish, and there’s a good chance he would’ve won if he made it to the final three.

If Carson returned for Season 50, he could have the opportunity to redeem himself after Season 44. Hopefully Carson’s fire making has gotten stronger, as it was really the only flaw he showcased all season. Carson’s social game is a big threat, and he could have a lot of influence on Survivor 50 if he is cast.

Ricard Foye – Season 41

Ricard Foye was a highlight during Survivor 41, where he finished in fifth place. While he didn’t make the final four, Ricard still got pretty fair and played a great game. Ricard was a pro at individual immunity challenges, and won immunity more times than any of his fellow castaways. In addition to being a physical threat, Ricard was fairly decent with strategy and pulled off some impressive blindsides.

After finishing in fifth, Ricard deserves another chance at winning Survivor. Ricard would be a great choice for Season 50, as he is well rounded and has a decent shot at going far in the game.

Survivor 50 should include New Era, but not rely on it

Some would say that Survivor 50 should ignore the New Era, but that would feel unfair. There have definitely been players who should get another shot. While there is a lot to fix in regards to the New Era, there’s plenty that has also worked. That’s why we’ve highlighted these five players.

What Survivor 50 also needs to do, however, is lean on its incredible roster of players from the 40 seasons before the New Era hit. We may have seen many of them return multiple times in the past, but there’s a reason for that. They make great television. And as viewers, that’s exactly what we need. Both heroes and villains. As well as all of those in the fuzzy area in-between.

Survivor is available to stream on Paramount+.
