It’s all happening for Janelle Brown! Even though it might have taken the Sister Wives star a bit longer to leave, Kody Brown, the mother of six, is finally making her own dreams come true. After the tragic death of her son, it is nice to see Janelle looking at the bright side of life. With a new farm project to tackle, fans eagerly await updates about how farm life is going.
Kody Brown isn’t keeping Janelle Brown up to date on Coyote Pass
Episode 2 of Season 19 showed Janelle becoming very frustrated with her ex-husband due to his lack of communication. Janelle is aware that the land payment is due in a few months. Naturally, she worries that the family will lose everything they have worked for. Janelle opened up about how she wanted to have her name on Robyn Brown’s Flagstaff house if she was putting money into it. However, she alleged that Kody wouldn’t allow her to put her name on the mortgage at the time. Janelle revealed, “When I put the money into the house, I said, ‘Well, I think it would be fair if all of our names were on the mortgage. And he’s like, ‘No, no, we need to protect, you know, protect Robyn’s estate. She needs to have it so it’s hers and so it’s ours.’”
Janelle’s conversation made sense, as she wanted to recoup some of the money that she had invested in the home. But Robyn acted confused at the request. Noting in her confessional, “When Janelle’s bringing up that Kody and I owe her something, it’s like, how do you, how do you calculate? How do you figure that out? It’s so confusing.”
Janelle Brown paid off Coyote Pass
In June, news broke that Janelle had been able to pay off what was owed on Coyote Pass, ensuring she wouldn’t lose her parcel. The U.S. Sun revealed documents that showed the deed had been handed over to the family. The Browns purchased the land in 2018 for $820,000 and had been talking about building on the land for seasons. The outlet shared that Kody and Janelle paid off the plot of land in their name. The former couple also paid off an additional plot in Robyn’s name that was purchased for $170,000 each.
The deed of release shows that the amount owed to Fidelity National Title Agency was “fully paid” on June 2, 2023. The original plan was to split the land into five parcels, including a separate house for Kody. But as the wives drifted away, the polygamous dream seemed to evaporate into thin air. Janelle was the only wife who ever realistically thought about building her homestead on the land. At one point, she even bought a luxury RV that Kody was less than impressed with. However, Janelle is now moving on to bigger and better ideas for herself.
In an exciting turn of events, Janelle announced that she and her daughter, Maddie, would be starting their very own family farm. As Sister Wives viewers know, Janelle has always had a love of gardening but found Flagstaff a tough environment. In an Instagram post, Janelle posed with her hands in the air. She wrote, “I am beyond excited to finally share our passion project with you—TAEDA FARMS! We’d love to invite you to come along on this wild, messy, and beautiful journey as we build Taeda Farms from the ground up.”
Janelle joked “It’s definitely not always glamorous—there’s plenty of sweat, dirt, and learning along the way—but every single step is getting us closer to something truly special. We’re turning hard work and heart into something beautiful, and we want you to be a part of it all!” The U.S. Sun confirmed that Janelle quietly filed for a business license with the North Carolina Secretary of State office for Taeda Farms on March 26, 2024. She and Maddie purchased 156.4 acres of land in April 2024 for $289,000 in Camapwa, North Carolina. It’s nice to see Janelle embracing her passions as getting her hands dirty.

The 90 Day Fiancé franchise has been going strong for the last ten years. Throughout the past decade, the franchise has aired dozens of seasons of many different spin-offs. Of course, this has led to fans getting to know hundreds of cast members from all around the world. As the show revolves around Americans who date a foreign partner, about half of the cast is generally from overseas. When it comes to diversity, 90 Day Fiancé beats just about any other reality television show.
While every individual cast on 90 Day Fiancé has to complete a background check, producers don’t always catch everything. Throughout the show’s history, several cast members have been fired after problematic content from their past resurfaces. On the other hand, others have been let go of for behaviors they took part in after filming. Several cast members seem to have been fired but were never confirmed by the franchise. These are all of the 90 Day Fiancé cast members TLC has fired, both definitively and allegedly.
Fired by TLC: Lisa Hamme
Lisa Hamme was fired from the franchise following her appearance on 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days Season 4. During Season 4, Lisa married her ex-husband Usman Umar. The marriage didn’t last long, however, and the former couple had a messy split. Usman then revealed that Lisa had called him the n-word on numerous occasions, which she didn’t deny. As a result of the inappropriate racial slur, TLC fired Lisa and cut ties with her immediately. This was important, as it showed that TLC doesn’t accept any form of racism whatsoever.
Geoffrey Paschel is another controversial cast member from Before The 90 Days Season 4. During Season 4, Geoffrey traveled to Russia to meet his girlfriend Varya Malina. While Geoffrey’s segments with Varya aired, the couple was later excluded from the Tell All. After the season, disturbing details from Geoffrey’s past began to emerge. In particular, Geoffrey was the defendant in a domestic abuse case involving his ex. Geoffrey is now in prison, where he is serving an 18-year sentence.
Fired by TLC: Alina Kozhevnikova
Alina Kozhevnikova was featured on Before The 90 Days Season 5 with her former partner Caleb Greenwood. The pair had been friends for years but never officially dated. After meeting in person, however, Caleb decided he couldn’t commit to Alina. While viewers saw a lot of their story, it was later cut short due to Alina being fired from the franchise. Several racially insensitive comments Alina had previously made were uncovered on social media and TLC fired her instantly. Neither Alina nor Caleb participated in the Season 5 Tell All.
Fired by TLC: Larissa Lima
Larissa Lima appeared with her ex-husband Colt Johnson on both the OG show and 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?. From the jump, Colt and Larissa had a problematic relationship. Eventually, Larissa was even arrested after Colt claimed she had committed domestic battery. This wasn’t the reason for her firing, however, as she still filmed for some time after this. Larissa was later let go of by TLC after joining the adult streaming website CamSoda.
Fired by TLC: Brandan DeNuccio and Mary Demasu-ay – Allegedly
TLC never confirmed that Brandan DeNuccio and Mary Demasu-ay were fired from the network. However, fellow 90 Day Fiancé star Statler Riley insisted that they were. Following their appearance on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Season 5, Brandan and Mary spoiled their relationship status online. The couple shared pictures confirming they were still together and of their daughter Midnight, who hadn’t yet been born on the show. This seemingly violated their NDA, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if they were fired.
Fired by TLC: Nicole Sherbiny and Mahmoud El Sherbiny – Allegedly
Nicole Sherbiny and her husband Mahmoud El Sherbiny are another couple who were allegedly let go by TLC. The couple first appeared on The Other Way Season 4 and later went on to star on Happily Ever After? Season 8. Before the premiere of Season 8, news broke that Mahmoud had been arrested for domestic violence against Nicole. The couple’s story aired for a few episodes but later stopped mid-season. As neither Nicole nor Mahmoud participated in the Tell All, viewers began to speculate that they may have been fired.

The Queen of Mean stepped it up this season. Tamra Judge has always been the villain on Real Housewives of Orange County. But Season 18 of the franchise has shown viewers why the show had a hard time surviving without her at one point.
Tamra always brings the drama, even drama that crosses a line. This is what some fans think of how Tamra has been treating her castmate Shannon Beador.
Now Tamra is responding to her critics, in true Tamra fashion.
“I’m being reactive, for sure,” Tamra told Us Weekly. “Was I being sweet? No.”
While Tamra isn’t exactly apologizing, she does have some regrets. Mainly comments she made surrounding Shannon’s 2023 DUI arrest.
“I do regret ever calling her an alcoholic,” Tamra stated. “I do regret that, but at that point, I was just pushed against the wall and I’m like, you know what? It’s very hard for me since I’ve known her and the struggles with alcohol and getting in an accident, getting a DUI and still drinking. I can’t wrap my brain around that at all. At all.”
The RHOC vet went on to say, “And one might say, ‘Oh, well, you get drunk on the show and you act like an ass.’ Yes, I do. I am somebody that definitely can’t handle more than two drinks, and it’s because I don’t drink that much. But when I film, I tend to think I need a little bit of liquid courage. [And] liquid courage turns [me] into a straight a——.”
Despite all the animosity, Tamra has high hopes for working things out at the reunion.
“I really am hoping that we can move past it. I don’t think that we’ll ever be best friends like that,” she said. “I really just want her to realize I wasn’t out to hurt her. I have been there for her forever.”
But comments that Shannon made back in July indicate that the QVC maven might not be so open to a reconciliation.
“I don’t [think we’ll be friends again] because I now can look back and see pretty much every season that I’ve been in with Tamra, there’s always an issue that she has with me,” Shannon said at the time.
“Either I did something or didn’t do something, and it’s OK, we don’t need to be friends then,” she added. “She says she walks on eggshells around me. I’m sorry that you feel that way, but I walked on eggshells around her.”

Teresa Giudice is sharing some of her musings about her kids. She had former Real Housewives of New Jersey bestie Jacqueline Laurita to reminisce about the good old days when their kids were growing up together. It turns out, both Jersey moms thought that CJ Laurita and Gabriella Giudice might have gotten together.
Some of the Real Housewives kids grew up on camera. And fans are interested to hear what some of the second generation stars are up to. Though Teresa and Jacqueline’s kids did not end up dating, the proud moms gave an update on what Gabriella and CJ are up to.
Gabriella and CJ “were best friends” before the Laurita family left New Jersey
Jacqueline, who left RHONJ in Season 8, joined Teresa on her podcast, Turning the Tables. “Her and CJ were always, like, really close. They would always hang out together,” Jacqueline said.
Teresa agreed that the kids “were best friends” growing up. The moms would joke that Gabriella and CJ would end up romantically involved when they were older. However, the Laurita family moved to Las Vegas in 2019.
“We used to always say they’re going to hook up. You know. But then they moved away,” Teresa explained.
Jacqueline shared a picture of her elder son on social media in April. CJ is embracing his girlfriend Gia in the photo. The family now reside in California.
“This is his gorgeous, sweet girlfriend Gia ( @giarestivo @shopgiasvintage ) that he’s known since the 5th grade. They’re like an old married couple. They are very cute.,” the former RHONJ star captioned the photo.
Gabriella is studying finance at the University of Michigan. Teresa shared that her daughter is due to start an internship next month.
Meanwhile, the future of Real Housewives of New Jersey is up in the air after a disastrous season. For the first time in Real Housewives history, the cast split to film the reunion. If that’s any indication of not knowing where to go from there, it’s RHONJ.
TELL US – WHAT DO YOU THINK OF TERESA AND JACQUELINE’S THOUGHTS ABOUT THEIR KIDS HOOKING UP? DO YOU THINK IT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF THE LAURITAS DIDN’T MOVE?
Two Angies entered Season 3 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, but only one Angie came out on top. That’s Angie Katsanevas. In the years following her RHOLSC debut, she’s been promoted to a full-time cast member, and now, she’s holding the center snowflake in the Season 5 opening.
Although self-reflection isn’t usually a trait we associate with our favorite Real Housewives, Angie recently opened up about the moment she found out she’d be front and center for Season 5. She actually teared up over it!
Angie Katsanevas is proud to be front and center with her RHOSLC Season 5 snowflake
Angie confessed to getting emotional over her center snowflake during a conversation with Entertainment Tonight. During the interview, they covered all of the details from the wild Season 5 premiere, and she admitted to crying when she first saw herself in the middle of the show’s intro card.
Who would have thought that a clipart snowflake could generate so much emotion? According to Angie, she felt those big emotions because her journey to the center snowflake was so rocky. She came face-to-face with some of the biggest villains we’ve ever seen on Real Housewives, and she felt certain people in the Salt Lake City cast tried to haze her.
“I think I went through a lot. People felt like they had to put me through the wringer, try to ice me out, try to take me down,” Angie explained.
“It just kind of reminded me that the cream rises to the top and just being your authentic self and having fun can be a good thing,” she continued. “I don’t need to be a villain or a bad person to stand in the center and represent Salt Lake City.”
Meanwhile, you know some of the RHOSLC OGs were probably fuming when they saw Angie front and center. Better luck next season, ladies!

Welcome to the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5, Episode 2 recap. In this week’s episode, called “Walking a Tightrope,” the ladies rehash the events of Lisa’s Besos party. Lisa, Bronwyn, and Heather go through the drive-thru at Wendy’s, and Heather becomes suspicious of Bronwyn’s energy. Angie and Lisa meet for lunch to discuss what went down at the Besos party, but Lisa gets defensive and ends up walking out. Heather plans an adventure outing to try to do some team-building with the women, but everything falls apart when they start arguing at dinner. Here are some of the highlights from Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5, Episode 2.
Heather’s suspicious of Bronwyn’s “energy”
Lisa and Bronwyn are in Lisa’s Mercedes-Benz G-Class discussing the Galentine’s party. Bronwyn has her dog Freddie with her. When Lisa mentions Britani, Bronwyn admits, “She came in a little hot with me, and more so with Mary.”
Within 30 seconds of meeting the two women, Britani stuck her foot in her mouth at least three times! It was a lot for Bronwyn.
Just as they’re discussing the fact that Angie defending Whitney was only making things worse, guess who’s calling? It’s Angie! She wants to get together with Lisa. Lisa says she’s running errands at the moment, but she’ll text her when she gets home.
Lisa and Bronwyn pick up Heather at her house. Bronwyn calls Heather’s $2.9 million, 7922 square foot house, “Cute!”
Lisa honks the horn, and Heather comes out laughing that she hasn’t had somebody honk for her since she was about 16. They drive down to Wendy’s and go through the drive-thru.
As they eat in the car, Lisa’s still talking about Whitney calling her “a liar” last night. Whitney could have chosen her words more carefully. Calling someone a liar is inflammatory.
While Heather wonders if they all “ganged up on” Whitney, Bronwyn feels that Whitney was the one who “ratcheted the whole thing up.” She goes on to mimic Whitney and her healing journey, saying she was laughing to the point of tears at Whit’s middle finger moment. “It’s just so trite,” she says.
Bronwyn’s reaction sets off alarm bells with Heather. “This is the type of energy that’s burned me in the past,” she says, recalling Monica Garcia. “I feel very wary of someone who has such strong, harsh opinions about people that they’re just meeting for the first time.”
Meredith wants the bat mitzvah she never had
Meredith is meeting her husband Seth at a cooking school. They’re learning to make Shakshouka, just like Erin Lichy made for the RHONY ladies when they stayed at her house in the Hamptons.
While they’re eating, Meredith tells Seth she’s been thinking about her heritage. Amidst all the anti-Semitism in the world right now, she’s very proud of her Jewish ancestry. Meredith wants to have a bat mitzvah since she never had one as a child.
Seth is literally speechless. He finally says, “It’s so powerful, making this commitment in the ‘back half’ of our life.”
For those who don’t know, in Judaism, a bat mitzvah (or bar mitzvah for boys) marks a “coming of age” and is typically celebrated around the age of 12 or 13. Meredith says her parents never really emphasized Jewish faith, but it’s their heritage. “It’s my blood,” she adds. Seth says, “I’m so proud of you … I can’t wait to talk dirty in Hebrew.”
Lisa and Angie go head-to-head over lunch
Angie and Lisa meet up for lunch. “For the past couple of years, Angie’s been someone I talk to all the time,” Lisa says. “I feel like I’m such a good friend to her … It shocks me that she cares so little about our friendship … that she would take things I’ve shared with her in confidence and repeat them to Whitney … It’s beyond hurtful.”
In a confessional, Angie says, “I told Whitney what Lisa said … because I thought she probably owed her an apology [for calling Lisa a “villain”] so they could move forward.”
But she tells Lisa that it felt like they went a little hard on Whitney at the party. She felt Heather going in on Whitney was her trying to prove that she was Lisa’s friend.
“She was taking up for herself,” Lisa responds. “I can handle myself.”
In a confessional, Lisa thinks, “[Angie is] trying to convince me to think exactly like her … [If she] would listen to me with the intent to understand me, we would get a lot further.” In other words, Lisa wants Angie to think exactly like her.
Angie says Lisa talks over Whitney. “She’s not as strong as you,” she says. I don’t believe that for a minute.
Lisa insists she’s just “who I am,” and she’s not going to change. Angie wishes she’d just listen and understand the point she’s trying to make.
“Everybody thinks I’m self-centered and a bitch,” Lisa adds. “I don’t really care anymore.” And there you go. She just proved her own point.
So, as Lisa tends to do when things aren’t going her way, she walks out. “Goodbye, I love you,” she tells Angie. “Hope we can continue the conversation.” Just not today. That went well.
Heather and Whitney shop for healing crystals
Heather and Whitney visit a crystal shop. Heather says, “You can pick out one crystal … under $500.” That’s a generous gift.
Whitney’s hurt about everything that went down at the Besos party, especially that Heather came down on Lisa’s side. They’re here to “work through it.”
“If Lisa [had] listened to me,” she says, “then she wouldn’t have had to hear my feelings on a podcast. Her calling me a liar over my feelings is no different than me calling her a liar for being mad at me.”
“I’m super frustrated with Whitney,” Heather says. “Even though I love her, [that] does not mean that I like her. She does a lot of damage and expects all of her friends to just kind of absorb it … We [can only do that] to a certain point.”
“I apologize for my part in it,” Heather says. “But do you see, if three of your friends are telling you … ”
“I do see that,” Whit agrees. “If three of my friends are telling me something, that means there’s something I need to look at … I just don’t know how we’re ever going to move forward if we don’t stop looking back.”
“Before this all went down, I had this fun trip planned,” she adds. “I’m going to Milwaukee to Trixie’s bar … Trixie [Mattel] has a gay bar in Milwaukee.” Trixie is of course the RuPaul’s Drag Race star, who hosted the ladies at the Trixie Motel in Season 4.
Heather doesn’t think the ladies are ready for a road trip right now but suggests a team-building activity. When everyone’s cooled off a bit, Milwaukee could be fun.
Bronwyn gets her hair done at Angie’s salon
Bronwyn stops by Angie’s hair salon to get her hair done. While Bronwyn’s getting styled, Angie pulls up a chair.
“I left Lisa’s event,” Angie says, “thinking, ‘I love Bronwyn,’ and [wondering] what you might think of me because of how my relationship with Lisa … looked that night.”
“I love Lisa, and we’re always gonna be friends,” Bronwyn says, “but nothing that was said about her was untrue … Whitney does probably feel like she has to do what Lisa wants a lot.” She didn’t love the way Whit “stomped out,” but she talked to her, and “she knows she needs to find a different way to get her point across.”
“Bronwyn is easy to get to know,” Angie says. “She’s warm, she’s witty. Her fashion alone is enough to put on a scroll.”
Actually, Bronwyn seems a little “too” nice. She seems like she’s playing up to everyone just to get in with the group. Are we seeing the genuine Bronwyn?
She tells Angie that she thinks “Britani’s all over the place.” Britani didn’t make a good impression with either Bronwyn or Mary.
Angie says she saw Britani the day before, and she was still talking about Bronwyn’s “heart jacket.” I know it’s fashion, but it was a little weird.
“I don’t like to call another woman stupid … but I’m not sure this woman can even spell ‘YSL,’” she says, which is in essence, doing exactly what she said she doesn’t like to do. It feels like a lot for the clumsy conversation we watched last week.
“Women like Britani are the reason I struggle to make strong female friendships,” Bronwyn interviews. “I often think I can trust someone, and then later that ends up not being the case. This reminds me of being at BYU, when I was 19 and pregnant, and other women were judging me and talking about me. That has not gone away.”
Heather puts the other women “on the ropes” at an adventure park
Heather’s booked an outing at an adventure park. There are lots of high platforms and ziplines all over the place. It looks intimidating.
“I think today’s just gonna be a standstill with Lisa,” Whitney says. “I’m pissed at her. I feel like she owes me an apology. But I’m also smart enough to know that she thinks I owe her an apology.”
When Mary sees Britani coming, she prays to God for strength. “I don’t understand why Mary’s so rude to me,” Brit says in an interview. Oh, honey, don’t take it personally. Mary’s rude to almost everybody!
Mary’s offended that Britani just assumed Mary grew up poor when she said, “There was never enough,” but Britani was just trying to relate to her. She didn’t mean anything by it. Plus, she didn’t actually say that. Personally, I wouldn’t waste my time worrying about it.
“[Britani’s] just not the sharpest knife in the drawer,” Mary says in a confessional. “She’s not even the sharpest spoon.”
For her part, Lisa says, “I guess I’m going to be super active today: actively avoiding Angie and Whitney and actively surviving this ropes course.” Meredith begs off, claiming she has “tennis elbow from churning too much butter.”
But everyone else is game to try, even Mary, which is surprising. I think someone told Mary she needs to start earning her paycheck by participating, not just watching from the sidelines or having the bus driver take her to McDonald’s.
Britani thinks her boyfriend made it official … or not
Heather invites everyone to come “eat, drink, and relax.” I have a feeling there are still some things to be discussed. Nobody’s relaxing today.
At a picnic table, Britani announces she wants to make a toast. “So last night, she says, “Jared … officially asked me to be his girlfriend. He made it Instagram official!”
“But the Instagram says, ‘my best friend,’” Bronwyn interjects, “and you guys were at Costco.”
While Lisa says, “Is this the post? Britani, you’re not official.” Why can’t she just be happy for her?
“I’m just trying to figure out why do we care?” Mary says. “I don’t care about you and your boyfriend.” Britani calls Mary rude, and they rehash their Besos party conversation.
Lisa interrupts, waving her phone and saying, “Britani, I would be worried about this. I feel like Jared’s working you over a little bit.”
“He should be claiming you as his girlfriend, not best friend,” Whitney says. “You’re happy with that?”
“No, I’m not,” she admits. “It hurts my feelings.”
“There’s a lot going on in Britani’s life with her kids and her ex,” Heather says. “It’s a little bit chaotic. And she’s working on repairing her relationship with her nuclear family.”
Heather asks everyone to be respectful of each other, to which Bronwyn responds, “I’d like to learn something about Britani that doesn’t feel unhinged. That’s how I feel about Britani right now.” Wow. Bronwyn’s not coming across very well in this exchange.
Heather feels like Brit’s a baby deer, and she’s dragged her in front of all of these wolves. “She’s clearly not up for the fight,” she says. “And it’s not warranted. They don’t know anything about this woman. This feels like she’s getting kicked in the teeth, and I hate it.”
Heather takes on Bronwyn
“Words matter,” Bronwyn says. “I know you don’t like me saying that, [Heather], but it’s true.”
“No, I don’t like you saying that,” Heather fires back. “Cause if we need to get our words in order, you need to get yours in order … You have been giving everybody a different story. [You told Whitney that] you were supportive of her. With Lisa on our Wendy’s drive, you were Team f*cking Lisa and were saying terrible things about Whitney.”
“That’s not true,” says Bronwyn.
Heather accuses Bronwyn of being “two-faced.” But Bronwyn says she already told Whitney about thinking she was funny at the dinner and “having tears of laughter.” In flashback, we see that this did happen, but that Bronwyn told Whitney it was an “iconic” moment, rather than “trite.”
“I left [Lisa’s] car feeling everything you said was a little bit poisonous, especially about Whitney [and] Meili,” Heather concludes.
So Heather’s team-building activity didn’t go so well, as everyone ends the day arguing.
And it gets worse. When Lisa asks Whitney to speak in facts, not feelings, Whit snaps back, “The fact is that you’re a sh*tty friend.” Touché!
Of course, the only comeback Lisa can come up with is, “You’re a sh*tty friend.”
Finally, Whitney does what she should have done all along and apologizes for talking about Lisa on the podcast.
Even though they haven’t really resolved anything, Whitney invites everyone to Milwaukee. “Trixie booked me to host her next drag night … in Milwaukee,” Whit says. “I would love all of you to come on a girls’ trip to … continue the bonding. I booked a private jet.”
Sounds like a party to me! Meredith’s not sure if she’s coming, to which Whitney says in confessional, “good, don’t come.” Thankfully, she will be there, as we see her in the preview for next week! Bring on the chaos…
Episode 2 of Survivor 47 aired tonight on CBS. The castaways created new alliances, found hidden Immunity Idols, and one player’s game came to an end at Tribal Council. The 90-minute episode kept us on our toes. The losing tribe’s intended target shifted so much that viewers were unsure who would be booted off the Island until Jeff Probst read the votes.
If you missed tonight’s episode, we have you covered.
Here is what happened on the Wednesday, September 25 episode of Survivor 47 …
Teeny caught red-handed on Survivor
Episode two began with castaway Rome Cooney continuing the steps to unlock a Beware Advantage. He found the clue to the Idol in Episode 1 and congratulated himself on how well he was playing the game. His confidence in his strategic ability may have been premature. At the start of tonight’s episode, we learned that Rome was public enemy number 1 among the Lavo tribe. His tribemates were already strategizing on how to vote him off.
His chance to stay in the game improved once he was in possession of the key, which unlocked the Beware Advantage. He confided in his ally Teeny Chirichillo, whom he trusted to keep the information confidential. Unfortunately for him, Teeny had no intention of keeping his secret. She ran to Kishan Patel and filled him in on Rome’s advantage. Teeny took Kishan to Rome’s secret hiding spot to get a better look at the advantage. The pair’s secret mission came to a halt when Rome saw them going through the box. Teeny tried to save herself by vowing that she only told Kishan because she wanted them to all work together. Rome wasn’t buying it. He stated in a confessional that he lost trust in Teeny.
The three castaways read the Beware Advantage together. The Idol was only good for one Tribal Council unless Rome wanted to complete an additional step that would increase the Idol’s viability. He decided to play it safe and not complete the extra step. Rome’s Idol means Lavo will not be able to eliminate him in their first Tribal Council. They’ll have to find a new scapegoat.
I was thrilled to see Rome find the Beware Advantage. It is too early for me to pick favorites but I always enjoy when the person on the bottom of a tribe finds a lifeline. It makes the game more dynamic and challenging.
Shifting Dynamics
While Lavo was searching for Idols, members of the Tuku tribe were strategizing. In Episode 1, Kyle Ostwald and TK Foster formed a three-person alliance with Gabe Ortis. However, Kyle and TK got spooked by Gabe’s aggressive gameplay style and decided to shift their loyalties. Instead, they decided to work with Tiyana Hallums, weakening Gabe’s position in the game. Although, he is still close with Sue Smey and Caroline Vidmar.
Over at Gata camp, the castaways were still recovering from Tribal Council. Last episode, they said goodbye to Jon Lovett, choosing to save the unpredictable Andy Rueda over the podcast host. Andy still appears to be at the bottom of the tribe. His tribe members think he’s odd and unpredictable. While they are grateful to have an athletic player on their team, they don’t seem to value him beyond that. Andy had a chance to protect himself in the game when he stumbled upon a Beware Advantage but he (stupidly) put it back. He wasn’t willing to take the risk.
Andy’s decision to leave the Beware Advantage was incredibly naive because you should always take an advantage. Anika Dhar and Sam Phalen found it not much later and decided to open it. Sam took the advantage, granting him safety for one Tribal Council.
Who went home on Survivor Episode 2?
Gata and Lavo earned immunity during the challenge, which means Tuku had to endure Tribal Council. TK was a jerk about losing and called out for Tiyana for smiling, which annoyed her and her tribemates. Sue and Caroline already didn’t like TK, so they used that moment to plant a target on TK’s back. Going into Tribal Council, TK and Sue were in danger of going home. It was unclear where the votes would lie. Gabe played an Immunity Idol at Tribal, which didn’t affect the vote because there were no votes cast against him. In the end, TK received more votes than Sue. Note to future Survivor players, being an alpha male rarely gets you far in this game.
See you next time with our Survivor 47, Episode 3 recap!
TELL US – WHAT DID YOU THINK OF EPISODE 2 OF SURVIVOR?
When Dancing with the Stars included Anna Delvey among its list of stars, fans and insiders alike raised eyebrows. As it turned out, Maksim Chmerkovskiy was among the eyebrow-raisers. After Season 33’s premiere, he couldn’t hold back his criticism any longer.
However, despite Maksim’s voice arguably being the most prominent, his takes weren’t entirely unique. Almost everyone criticized DWTS for Anna’s casting, stretching the definition of what ‘stardom’ truly entailed. Wouldn’t her casting be a reward for her crimes? So, these pieces of criticism sounded reasonable enough.
But there’s a line between being reasonable and being mean. Anyone can dance. In theory, Maksim would know that better than anyone. Nevertheless, he couldn’t help but call Anna a “sh*tty dancer.” Even if true, surely, there was a better way to say so.

As a recent guest on The TMZ Podcast, Maksim made his opinions about Anna all too clear. He argued that if DWTS wanted “an ankle brace,” “attention,” and a scandal, there were “so many other people you could choose from.” He said unambiguously that he was “absolutely not” a fan of Anna.
When asked whom he might choose instead, he said, “It doesn’t matter.” Anna’s “job” as “a professional liar” felt unworthy to Maksim. “You’re gonna bring that person and say, ‘Here’s a platform that a lot of people waited their entire actual career [for?]’” He also suggested Anna didn’t deserve DWTS as a platform to say, “This is who I actually am,” compared to other potential stars.
As for her performance, Maksim argued that Anna had the “self-control” to perform with more poise and less stiffness. He didn’t buy the argument that she was nervous. “She’s just a sh*tty dancer … I didn’t even get to see the ‘why’ she got on the show.” On September 23, Anna responded via her Instagram Stories. She simply wrote, “Who’s this Maksim person? He must be poor.”
Dancing with the Stars continues Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC and Disney+.
