What happened in Vanderpump Rules Season 12, Episode 1?

Lisa and her brand-new group of SURvers hoping to hit the big time came in fast and furious. Kim and Marcus are the restaurant’s resident on-again-off-again couple. And things were going good until Natalie hugged Marcus one too many times. And that wasn’t all that got Marcus in trouble. Lisa sent him packing when she saw video footage of him teaching newbie Jason how to sneak drinks instead of how to roll silverware. Meanwhile, Natalie was trying to get back into Lisa’s good graces after she was suspended for making a scene at SUR. The more things change, the more things stay the same!
Introducing the new crew

It’s been a while since we’ve seen Lisa at SUR; however, watching her check on guests felt just like old times. Lisa mused that the food and ambiance have kept them up and running for the past twenty years. She teased, “But without a vibrant staff, it wouldn’t be SUR.” So, let’s meet this vibrant staff, shall we?
First up is Venus, a server who needs to be in a Pantene commercial ASAP. He dished, “Everyone is very hot. They’re all f*cking each other. They’re absolute lunatics … That’s the vibe of SUR.” He’s also besties with Marcus and his girlfriend, Kim. But there is trouble in paradise because he warned that Marcus and Kim “fight every single week.”
Marcus also doesn’t take his job seriously. He said, “Working at SUR is a f*cking playground for me.” New server Jason was shocked when Marcus told him to “do less.” Marcus then showed him where the sangria was stashed and served him up a drink. Venus took a shot as well. Not a good look.
And speaking of drinks, we meet Natalie. She’s a seasoned bartender there but just came back from being suspended for shouting at her ex, Paulo, while at SUR. Natalie told Chris (Robert De Niro 2.0) that’s why she wasn’t able to train him on his first day bartending. She said, “Everyone’s going to tell you I was crazy and screaming … which is true.”
But Paulo wasn’t the only SUR employee caught in the crossfire. Natalie also went off on Demy, their assistant manager, who had asked her to leave. Still, Demy was professional and said hello to her when she saw her. But Lisa wasn’t ready to be quite as nice.
Lisa was over Natalie’s “flagrant f*ckery”

Lisa pulled Natalie aside and got right down to business. She told her she created a “ridiculous scene.” Natalie reasoned it was because she’s had no separation from her ex because they work together. Oh, and Mercury was in retrograde. Lisa quipped, “Darling, you came here on your night off.”
Then the video of the incident played. Demy narrated, “Natalie was at the bar, wasted, screaming at Paulo. Begging him to unblock her number. She has her finger in my face, saying, ‘You’re always against me! I can’t believe I’m being treated like this! I’m Natalie!’”
However, Lisa decided to give Natalie another chance. As she’s known to do. She explained, “You are a young woman that’s been here a long time … that is the only reason after that behavior why I’m actually going to give you a break … But listen very carefully … all this kind of flagrant f*ckery is done!”
Afterward, Marcus consoled Natalie with a big hug, much to Kim’s dismay. He tried to cheer her up that Shayne was coming in tonight. But when Shayne walked in with another girl, Natalie was livid. She told Marcus that Shayne was a liar, as he promised to never bring another girl into SUR. Marcus reasoned, “Well, just because you lie once doesn’t make you a liar.” What?
Shayne doesn’t work at SUR, but he’s Marcus’ other bestie. He shared in his confessional, “I am more addicted to a hot succubus woman than I am drugs. I’m f*cked up.”
He added, “I met Natalie a few weeks ago at karaoke. She’s clearly unstable, but she was hot.” Then he noted he brought in another girl to make her jealous because she was playing hard to get. Sounds like a keeper!
Kim wasn’t buying Marcus and Natalie’s friendship

After their shift, the group headed out for some drinks. Natalie was still pouting from her conversation with Lisa (and she’s not the only one). Demy told her Lisa was right to be angry “because you were a monster.” Demy then dished in her confessional that Paulo was actually her man first, until Natalie started working at SUR. Do tell…
Regardless, Natalie was more upset about Shayne bringing another girl over. She gave him the cold shoulder until he apologized, and then she folded like a deck of cards. He looked like Ryan Gosling, after all. But once their rift ended, the one with Kim continued to grow.
Kim was seething when Natalie and Marcus hugged yet again. She said in her confessional, “Natalie’s one of my closest friends here in LA, but ever since her breakup she’s been looking for attention in all the wrong places, including my boyfriend.” It also didn’t help that Marcus had the nickname “the make-out bandit.”
Demy brought up to the group that Marcus and Natalie weren’t really friends. Natalie retorted that Marcus tells her she’s like a sister to him. Audrey, the hostess, shook her head. She stated in her confessional, “Kim being upset with Natalie wanting to be friends with Marcus, what are we in the 1900s?”
Venus wanted Marcus to defend Natalie, but Marcus didn’t want to get “reamed” later. Unfortunately for him, that didn’t make a difference. According to both Marcus and Kim, they argued all night, with Kim calling him over and over after he left.
Kim said in her confessional, “Natalie doesn’t understand what boundaries are … She’s done the same thing to Demy in the past, so why wouldn’t she do it to me?”
Lisa gave Marcus the boot … for now

Natalie still hadn’t given Demy a proper apology, so she invited her over to the recording studio. She told Demy what set her off was when Paulo told her to only communicate through her. Natalie joked she thought they were in a love triangle. Demy accepted her apology. But she wasn’t about to trust Natalie around any man after Paulo.
Then it was time for Marcus to pay the piper. Lisa called a staff meeting to tell everyone to get their sh*t together as restaurants were closing left and right.
Lisa said, “Last night what transpired is Marcus standing at the back of house, swooping cups of sangria. Venus standing here with Jason and Marcus taking shots. Before you even start working, what kind of service are you going to give? I’m not happy with you at all.”
She told Marcus, “I want you to get your sh*t, go home, and have a really good think about it. Because let me tell you, I don’t want to speak to you anymore.”
In her confessional, Lisa said, “Sometimes people get a little too comfortable, and they make ridiculous decisions. And this was one of them, and Marcus will pay for it. I just haven’t decided how yet.”
As Marcus left with his tail between his legs, Kim gave him no sympathy. She said, “Where is he when I need him? I’m so f*cking tired of it … He can sit at my feet if he wants me to speak to him.” This crew was coming in hot!

Welcome back, Below Deck Mediterranean fans! Last week, three different couples formed during a boozy day off. These yachties all needed this win, because an incoming charter guest was making his way to their yacht, hell-bent on belittling their very existences. Also, Captain Sandy is finally feeling cautiously optimistic with the deck team, as seen on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 10 Episode 10, “Bowing Out.”
What happened in Below Deck Mediterranean Season 10 Episode 10?
Nathan is still learning the ropes as a bosun. So, when Captain Sandy orders him to make a big decision, he grows weary. Meanwhile, V and Joe are still learning how to navigate things as a couple. As are Max and Cathy, whose love languages are (seemingly) at odds.
Drunk guests and big feelings

After getting his ass handed to him by Captain Sandy, Nathan starts spiraling. Joe approaches, offering his bestie encouragement. Max finally makes it back to the boat with Imran. Nathan lets him know that charter guests cannot drive their tender, and also, Captain Sandy is now mad.
In the galley, Josh prepares a massive Spanish-themed dinner. Kizzi enters, complaining that Cathy keeps getting time with their guests, and it’s making her jealous. Other charters will probably land in her favor, Josh suggests.
Aesha senses a shift in Kizzi. She approaches her stew, who explains that she feels small. In her confessional, Aesha sighs, “It’s all falling apart.”
Max and Cathy flirt as their guests sit for dinner. Thankfully, dinner finds them well. Josh celebrates in the galley, but ends up falling. He rubs his lower back and stands, washing dishes as if nothing ever happened.
Three guests enter the hot tub and joke about having a threesome. Cathy flees the scene.
The first anniversary of Bon’s passing is approaching. So, V’s feelings “are all over the place.” She needs to talk to Joe.
Meanwhile, Imran has to pee, but his cabin is too far away. He asks if he can relieve himself off the side of the yacht. Cathy says no. He and Mike, another drunk guest, start wandering, sick of all these “rules.”
In the hallway, Mike drops his glass. Cathy, using her best mom voice, sends them to bed.
Nathan finally pleases Captain Sandy

In the morning, Kizzi expertly readies the breakfast table. In the crew mess, Aesha finds a note from Cathy. She might sleep an extra hour, since she was up so late with the guests. Aesha sighs, then humps Kizzi to say well done.
Captain Sandy calls Nathan to the wheelhouse. Their docking will be windy, so Nathan needs to be “precise” and “more of a boss.”
Thanks to his messy childhood, Max has abandonment issues. Now, he hopes to create a better, safer family of his own. And right now, his eyes are on Cathy.
The deck team prepares for docking. The wind speed is at 17 knots and rising. Naturally, their bow thruster chooses this exact time to die. Captain Sandy yells for Ben, her typically unfilmed Chief Officer.
Nathan, unaware, continues calling distances to Captain Sandy. Their yacht is drifting, he explains, before learning what happened. Between Captain Sandy, Ben, Nathan, and his team, the yacht safely docks.
“Pressure makes diamonds,” Captain Sandy notes. Their guests depart, leaving a tip of $25k. After, Captain Sandy meets with Nathan, telling him it’s time to choose his lead deckhand.
In their sprinter van, Joe takes a selfie with V. He sends it to his mom. Aesha has never seen this side of Joe. Neither has Joe.
At the table, Nathan and Aesha bond. This season is not going well for Nathan. But, as Aesha recalls, her first season as a department head was also sticky. Just keep swimming, basically, she explains.
Max wants to kiss Cathy. She tells him no. They move to an isolated table, where Max explains that when he falls, he falls hard. However, Cathy falls slowly, and she also feels sick, so tonight will not be Max’s lucky night at all.
Is Kizzi still talking to her ex? Nathan asks. “Not really,” Kizzi answers. She further explains that she’s been in a funk. She’s still trying to adapt to having another second stew onboard.
Cathy overhears. She comes and sits beside Kizzi to air everything out. Several beats later, all is well. Cathy and Max head back to the yacht as the others venture off to a nightclub.
Joe and V are solid, but Max and Cathy are on different pages

Joe and V make out on the dance floor. So do Nathan and Kizzi. “I see you,” Josh says from his confessional, in full clown attire.
Joe asks V what her post-season plans are. He wants to bring her home with him. “I’m in all the way,” he admits. Both pairings make out again in the van, as Aesha and Josh comically exchange glances behind them.
Back on the yacht, Max and Cathy are also kissing. Cathy, however, heads to bed alone. He is giving “too much,” Max realizes.
Nathan climbs into Kizzi’s bunk, but when Aesha enters, he leaves. Pointless hookups are not really his thing anymore, he explains.
V takes a break from kissing Joe to explain that her traumas are still high. Joe promises he won’t hurt her as the credits roll on another episode of Below Deck Med.

At Gizelle’s podcast party, Keiarna lost her cool on Stacey, and her pal Angel tried to confront Wendy. The whole thing turned into a huge mess, but congrats on 10 million downloads, Gizelle and Robyn. Later in the episode, Monique finally sat down with Stacey and issued her a stern warning about interacting with Chris. But it wasn’t for the reasons you might expect.
The Unreasonably Shady party continues

It’s incredibly on-brand for Gizelle’s Reasonably Shady party to be one of the most off-the-rails events of Season 10 so far. In Episode 8, security had to escort Cookie out of the room after getting a little too heated with Stacey. Still, the drama continued.
Keiarna and Cookie claimed that Stacey called Chris and told him everything Monique said about him when they were filming at World Pride. To get to the bottom of it, Charrisse jumped into the scene, whipped out her phone, and called Chris directly. She’s not even getting paid to be there, and she’s working harder than some of the women holding flutes this season. We’re looking at you, Angel.
“I just want to know if Stacey communicated with you about a conversation that was had about Monique,” Charrisse asked. “That’s it. Yes or no?”
“Yeah, I don’t know nothing about what the fuck y’all people talking about,” Chris replied.
So, case closed, right? Wrong. Even though Chris himself just told the ladies that Stacey didn’t call him, they refuse to believe it. They’re stuck on the idea that Stacey lied, and Gizelle said there’s “nothing” that could change her mind.
Stacey is outnumbered in the RHOP circle
Earlier at the Reasonably Shady party, Angel told Gizelle that she was feeling some type of way about Wendy. Gizelle couldn’t wait to run that back, and she brought the two together to hash things out. It went about as well as you’d expect.
Angel tried to explain that Wendy had been “dismissive and snide,” but that only emboldened Wendy to be even more dismissive and even more snide. The fact that Angel is still trying to pin Gizelle’s catfish comments on Wendy didn’t help her case.
Poor Angel made zero progress, but her buddy Keiarna swooped in as her saving grace. She was still fuming over Stacey, and somehow, Angel and Wendy’s argument devolved into Keiarna screaming at Stacey.
“You’re a tired ass hoe from Detroit, and I know one when I see one,” Keiarna told Stacey.
After another round of back-and-forth, Stacey decided it was time to leave. She fled for the elevator. Jassi ran after her, but Gizelle popped up and encouraged her to go because she still felt “iffy” about Stacey. Poor girl. It only took nine episodes, but the ladies finally seem to have shaken the QVC queen — at least a little bit.
Is there a path forward for Stacey?

After the Reasonably Shady madness, Gizelle, Tia, Ashley, and Keiarna met up at Angel’s house with nothing on the agenda other than to talk trash about Stacey. Angel put out a charcuterie spread and six types of alcohol just for them to sit around and drag her.
They’re all convinced that Stacey lied. They’re fixated on the idea that Stacey called Chris and repeated things Monique said. Even though Chris already denied it, these women are practically foaming at the mouth for a reason to stay mad.
Ashley, who has been spearheading this Chris storyline all season, suggested that Stacey and Monique meet to clear the air. Great. Get them on the phone!
Elsewhere in the DMV, Stacey and Wendy met up at Jassi’s house to decompress. A slightly defeated Stacey wanted to find a way forward with Monique, but her bigger concern was Keiarna. Why is she always so aggressive?
“I think you are her favorite toy in the toy box,” Wendy said.
Just like Ashley, Wendy felt the next step was a conversation between Stacey and Monique. Stacey agreed — but only if Keiarna wasn’t anywhere near her.
Wendy’s mom brags about her money on Real Housewives of Potomac…

There were a few scenes this week to distract from the ongoing Chris/Stacey/Monique saga. Ashley met with her mom to talk about their relationship. Keiarna met with her mother to ramble about Greg and a condo no one cares about. And then Wendy sat down with her mom, and the feds might want to pull the footage.
Wendy has been navigating difficult feelings about her dad. She and her sister are estranged from him, and he didn’t wish her a happy birthday. She invited her mom, Susan, over to talk, and Susan made some big claims about Wendy’s finances.
Susan, who has had a head-to-toe glow-up since we first met her, arrived sporting a Christian Dior bag. When discussing Wendy’s issues with her dad, she told her, essentially: It’s his loss.
“Look at how you’re taking care of me,” Susan said, gesturing at her new bod. “I’m the one enjoying your money!”
Susan is shouting from the rooftops about “enjoying” Wendy’s money, designer bag bouncing, while Wendy is undergoing a six-figure home renovation and facing a 16-count fraud indictment. Susan even hollered at the contractors to install a bigger chandelier. “Wendy’s got the budget!” she said.

Monique and Stacey clear the air

After weeks of speculation about Stacey’s connection to Monique’s husband, the two finally sat down to get to the bottom of it. That means we’re one step closer to never hearing about this storyline again. Fingers crossed.
Ashley and Wendy arranged the meetup. Keiarna showed up too, but Stacey didn’t want her there, so she had to sit at the bar while the real, Real Housewives handled business.
When discussing whether Stacey dated Chris, Monique made herself clear: she doesn’t care if they dated. He’s a divorced man. Monique just wanted to be sure that they weren’t currently dating.
Stacey reiterated that she hasn’t been talking to Chris. She even showed texts proving Chris has been the one reaching out. Ashley immediately threw on her tinfoil hat and suggested Stacey had manipulated the messages. She’s obsessed, but alas, we carry on.
In the texts, Chris said he heard his name was coming up during filming. Those texts predated Monique and Stacey meeting at World Pride. That confirmed one thing: someone is leaking. But who? Wendy had some theories.

At the end of the episode, Wendy unveiled her suspect list. She gave a full breakdown of who could be feeding Chris information. She really thought this through, and honestly, maybe she should have put this level of effort into those alleged insurance claims.
Suspect A: Keiarna. Is she stirring the pot to turn the group against Stacey? Wendy pointed out that it never made sense for Keiarna to be taking calls from Cookie. She barely knows any of these people, yet here she is, smack in the middle of it.
Suspect B: Angel. Earlier this season, Angel said she and her husband Bobby, knew Chris. She even called him a “mentor.” As Wendy noted, Angel could have repeated the tea to Bobby, who passed it along.
Suspect C: Gizelle. Everyone knows Gizelle loves stirring up drama. Plus, she’s been buddy-buddy with Cookie since Karen went to jail. Could they have teamed up to take down Stacey?
Suspect D: Stacey. Maybe Cookie is telling the truth, and Stacey really did call Chris.
As the ladies narrowed their suspect list, Monique left Stacey with a warning: Be careful with Chris. She said he’s “messy,” and she divorced him for a reason. Monique doesn’t want to see Stacey fall even further down this rabbit hole. Neither do we.

Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles has revealed how she felt after having her first date with husband Jonathan Owens. At the time, the gymnast had only dated one person before meeting the professional football player, so she struggled to describe her feelings when she returned home. But even then, she had an inkling that Owens was going to be the one.

While Biles and Owens technically saw each other during a Texans game in December 2019 after she led the team out of the tunnel (Owens was signed to the practice squad for the Houston Texans at the time), the couple didn’t officially meet until they found each other in March 2020 on a dating app called Raya. After their first date, the gymnast felt something that she found difficult to put into words.
“Gosh… It wouldn’t even be ‘giddy.’ What is the right term?” she described to People. “I could not stand when a girl says, ‘Oh, my god, I knew he was he one because…’ What is that feeling like? What does that even mean?”
“I don’t know the term for it,” she confessed after trying to pinpoint how she felt, “but as soon as I met Jonathan, I remember coming home and telling my friends because they were at my house getting ready with me for that little date.”
“I came back and I was like, ‘Oh, I think I’m going to marry him.’ Why did I say that? I don’t know. I don’t know why I said that.”
Biles laughed as she took a look back at her first date with Owens and what made him such a match for her. “It was just a random weird feeling that I’ve never felt before, and then it just happened. So I just think he was so kind and sweet, he made me laugh.”
Several months later in August 2020, the pair made their romance public on Instagram. Just a year and a half later in February 2022, Biles accepted his proposal and they later went on an adventure-filled honeymoon.

Since leaving Below Deck after Season 7, Kate Chastain’s hands have been rather full. In 2023, she gave birth to her son, Sullivan Cay, her most challenging yet rewarding resident charter guest to date. Kate is raising Sullivan as a single mother. So, when might Kate feel open to hating, er, loving more than one person again?
Kate Chastain is “almost” ready to start dating again

Kate recently enjoyed a child-free trip to Vegas for BravoCon 2025. While here, she offered an update on her dating life. Romantic evenings with a young child are challenging, Kate admits. So, does she have any fun (or awful) dating stories yet to tell?
“So, I actually don’t have any dating updates because my son’s only two and a half,” Kate said. Her answer tracks, as any parent can easily attest. However, “It’s not that I’ve given up on dating, I just currently have priorities,” she explained.
When might her answer change? “I think it’s … I’m getting ready,” Kate answered. “I’m getting ready, but we’re almost there.”
Regardless, the dating pool is challenging, at best. As Kate noted, she has yet to meet “anybody I feel like paying a babysitter hourly for yet. So, we’ll get there, I guess.”
Overall, Kate is content right where she is. She is living her best life in her new home with her precious son. And soon, she can spend her evenings on her couch, watching her pal Chef Ben Robinson in the galley of her former franchise.
And no, Ben is still not the father of her son. But there’s still time to make things happen, should these two witty yachties ever feel so inclined.
