At one point, things reportedly took a tense turn. Harry raised the idea that William should pay him for half of the ring’s estimated $75,000 value, with the source claiming, “It didn’t go over well.” That moment, small as it might seem, may have marked the beginning of real trouble between the two brothers.

A senior royal staffer told Shuter, “If you trace the feud back to its true beginning, it’s the ring. It featured performances from global names, including Lionel Richie and Andrea Bocelli, with Hugh Bonneville hosting the celebratory night.

Jobson writes that Perry, who dazzled audiences in a metallic gold gown while performing her hits “Roar” and “Firework,” reportedly became upset after learning that Richie would receive special overnight accommodations at Windsor Castle. Richie has long been affiliated with the Prince’s Trust, a relationship the author suggests led to the invitation.

According to Jobson’s account, the singer and her team allegedly requested comparable treatment. Kim has barely taken a breather from her on-again, off-again divorce from Kroy Biermann. Now, she’s dating a man who is going through a very expensive and messy split with his own wife. And Jillian is not keeping quiet about it. 

To be fair, she isn’t blaming Kim for the split. But she subpoenaed Kim so she can depose her. She wants to gather all the paperwork about Kim’s financial relationship with Kyle. The official served Kim papers at her son’s football game. The Housewives alum objected to being served in such a public way.

This November, Jillian responded to Kim’s attempts to avoid deposition. According to US Weekly, in her new filing, Jillian demanded that Kim turn over messages she exchanged with a friend named Jenny Doyle. She said that “Ms. Doyle was also involved in a relationship with Mowitz. It was Ms. Doyle, we believe, who introduced Ms. Zolciak to Mowitz.”

Jililan also said that Kim was offered other means besides being served in public. Her feeling “harassed in public” was because she chose not to accept the subpoena through counsel when she had the chance.

Jillian’s filing also included a request for financial records, and the promissory notes show that Kyle loaned Kim substantial sums in January 2025 before filing for divorce. It also lists a credit card given to Kim and paid for on her behalf.

Kyle’s ex wants Kim’s messages to determine his and Kim’s relationship (which Kim says started after the divorce) and the money spent, paid, and borrowed. Jillian’s legal team didn’t agree to Kim’s request for a confidentiality agreement for the deposition. With over $100 million in assets on the line, it’s no wonder Jillian is being so aggressive.

Time will tell what happens next. It looks like both sides are pressing Kyle. He can’t say that Kroy didn’t warn him.
