All The Ways Janelle Brown’s Life Is Simpler Without Kody

It’s been almost a year since Janelle Brown called it quits on her marriage to Sister Wives star Kody Brown. I dare say she isn’t regretting her choice in the least. As they say, people enter your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. Thankfully, Janelle only had to deal with the polygamous patriarch for a season. Fans watched their relationship decline over time, thanks to Kody’s selfish ways and refusal to take accountability for his actions. While Janelle used to walk on eggshells, now she’s doing whatever she wishes without having to answer to Kody. Janelle was the most logical and brightest of the bunch. She was always too good for Kody, and she deserves this new chapter of complete independence and freedom.

Janelle Sees Her Kids More

Life is so much simpler for Janelle now that Kody is out of her life, with one noticeable difference being she sees her children a whole lot more. The 54-year-old has always been close to her children, but their feud with Kody often blocked her from having any major family events. For example, when her son Logan Brown got hitched, Janelle sat front row while Kody and Robyn Brown were seated on the bride’s side and in the middle of other guests.

Since her divorce, Janelle has been spotted traveling all over the country to visit her children. She racks up the miles between North Carolina, Las Vegas, and back to Arizona. Kody has yet to improve things with his children, but that means there is more quality time for Janelle to snatch up.

Janelle Has Her Own Schedule

Janelle Brown/Instagram

Janelle once told People, “Life is simpler because what would happen is Kody would come because he was very good about sticking to his schedule, but it was this whole upheaval of my routine in my life, and where there wasn’t a whole lot of connection emotionally, it just felt like a burden. Now, Janelle doesn’t have to worry about Kody’s wants and put her needs first, which must be a breath of fresh air after 25 years of being told what to do. Janelle joked, “And now I go to bed when I want; I eat what I want for dinner.”

For Janelle, her life as a single woman is now about the basic need of being able to choose whatever she feels like doing at the time. While she isn’t ready to jump back into a relationship, she has hinted it would be nice to have a life partner but to be honest, she has been single for so long due to Kody’s love for Robyn that I don’t think she should rush into anything as she is doing pretty well on her own. Janelle agreed “If Kody and I had been different and been really connected, and then I think that would’ve been a very different story. But as it was, I’m so much more free. I was pretty independent and free before, but I’m really free now.”

What Does Freedom From Kody Mean?

Janelle Brown/Instagram

For Janelle, being free from Kody’s tyranny means she can do whatever her heart desires. Whether it is traveling, sleeping in on a Sunday, or visiting her best friend Christine Brown. After Christine left the plural family, it was clear that Kody was not pleased Janelle still wanted a friendship as he often pressured his second wife to choose him. Now, there is no more choosing, only winning for Janelle.

And go figure, Janelle is dreaming big now that she doesn’t have a 220lb man-child anchoring her down. Janelle shared, “I feel like I can choose now. My youngest is graduated from high school. I now have an exciting professional life, and I have all these kids, I have grandkids, and I just want to explore this part of my life.” People like Janelle trusting their partner to make good decisions for them when they’re not capable is a tale as old as time, though. But now, at least, Janelle can rewrite her fairytale.

TELL US – DO YOU BELIEVE JANELLE MADE THE RIGHT DECISION TO LEAVE KODY?

90-Day: The Last Resort Season 2 Rumored Cast and Clues

The 90-Day Fiancé spin-off Happily Ever After? Season 8 is currently on air. But some of the featured couples appear to have already broken up “in real life.” Rob Warne and Sophie Sierra are working through their relationship on the show. They allegedly called it quits shortly after the season debuted.

Some viewers were shocked that Rob and Sophie would break up when the show had just begun to air. They were even more shocked TLC would let that knowledge be public for fear of spoiling the show’s storyline. Others think their split was publicized on purpose to drum up interest for 90-Day: The Last Resort Season 2.

The first season of 90-Day: The Last Resort featured several tumultuous 90-Day Fiancé couples, such as “Big” Ed Brown and Liz Woods. On the show, the couples spent time at a beachside resort in Florida working through their issues with relationship counselors. TLC does appear to be filming a second season. Here are some clues we have that might provide insight into 90-Day: The Last Resort Season 2.

A casting call hinted at filming in Arizona

According to InTouch, the official Instagram account for 90-Day Fiancé casting shared a flyer in late November 2023 looking for relationship coaches who “believe in the power of thinking outside the therapy room” to feature in “an exciting reality show.”

The flyer, which has since been deleted from the Instagram account, specified that the show would take place in Arizona. Although the title of the show was not revealed, InTouch reported that the flyer asked that interested coaches send an email to “LastResortsCasting@SharpEntertainment.com.” Very interesting!

Some cast members allegedly posted pics from the same resort in Arizona

Sophie posted a series of pictures to her Instagram that showed her modeling an outfit in what seemed to be a nice resort. According to 90 Day Fiancé blogger Shabooty on Twitter, Jasmine Pineda shared a TikTok taken at what fans thought was the same location shown in Sophie’s photos.

Jasmine and her partner Gino Palazzolo have had one issue after another in the current season of HEA. Therefore, fans aren’t surprised that Jasmine and Gino may be starring in The Last Resort Season 2.

Some 90-Day Cast Members were seen in Arizona

But wait, there’s more! Shabooty also posted a video on X that was taken by an allegedly Arizona-based fan. In the video are some well-known 90 Day Fiancé cast members on a “brew bike” together in Scottsdale, Arizona, including Rob and Sophie. The couple is joined by Brandon Gibbs and Julia Trubkina from 90 Day Fiancé Season 8, and Stacey Silva and Florian Sukaj of Darcey & Stacey fame. I know, I think it’s random too.

Four confirmed couples filming Season 2 so far

TLC/YouTube

According to InTouch, only four couples have been officially confirmed to be filming The Last Resort: Season 2. The couples are Sophie and Rob, Jasmine and Gino, Brandon and Julia, and Ariela Weinberg and Biniyam Shibre, who debuted in 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Season 2.

However, Shabooty took to Twitter to share a comment posted by a fan who allegedly knows a “camera guy” working on the show. According to the fan, Stacey and Florian will be starring in the show as well, which makes sense given the fact that they all took a brew bike in Arizona together as shown in the video.

According to the Tweet, the sixth and final couple to star in The Last Resort: Season 2 is Natalie Mordovtseva and Josh Weinstein, which confuses us. Natalie and Josh said in the million-part Tell-All for 90 Day: The Single Life Season 4 that they are not even dating, so we aren’t sure how they got in here. However, their involvement in the Last Resort Season 2 has not been officially confirmed, so watch this space!

To sum up, the rumored 90 Day: The Last Resort Season Two cast is as follows:

Rob Warne and Sophie Sierra

Gino Palazzolo and Jasmine Pineda

Ariela Weinberg and Biniyam Shibre

Brandon Gibbs and Julia Trubkina

Stacey Silva and Florian Sukaj

Natalie Mordovtseva and Josh Weinstein

Where Are the NYC Prep Cast Now?

NYC Prep cast
Photo by Jerritt Clark/WireImage via Getty Images

Blast from the past! The short-lived Bravo show NYC Prep is now available on the streaming service Peacock.

The network announced the news in an April Instagram Post, writing, “We can’t go out, we have plans with @peacock. These shows are out of the vault and streaming now.”

NYC Prep was in good company, featured alongside a few other iconic former Bravo shows, including Real Housewives of D.C. and The Rachel Zoe Project.

The series aired for 8 episodes in 2009 and captured the lives of the elite NYC prep school scene. Basically, it was the docuseries version of Gossip Girl. While its run on the network was short, it made a lasting impact on pop culture.

Now that NYC Prep is back in the headlines, fans may be wondering what happened to the group of precocious teens the show followed.

Here is what the cast is doing today:

Jessica “Jessie” Leavitt

Photo by Charles Eshelman/FilmMagic via Getty Images

On NYC Prep, Jessica “Jessie” Leavitt was the fashion girl. She had a seriously enviable wardrobe and a ticket to all the hottest fashion events in New York. We were so jealous!

After the show, Jessie followed her passion and attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. According to Us Weekly, she scored a job as a visual merchandiser for a “luxury brand” after graduation. The outlet reported that she tied the knot with investment analyst Jason Brown in 2019.

Sebastian Oppenheim

Sebastian Oppenheim was the Chuck Bass of NYC Prep. He was charming, rich, and loved hooking up with chicks. He continued to have a relationship with Bravo after the show was canceled. According to Us Weekly, he interned for Andy Cohen’s talk show Watch What Happens Live in 2013. He now works for the luxury New York-based real estate company Rove, per his Instagram. The company specializes in luxury furnished rentals. He married TV host Skyler Bouchard in 2019. The couple welcomed their first child, a son named Arlo, in December 2023. He shared photos of the newborn in the hospital on January 1 on Instagram alongside a sweet caption.

“The light of our lives,” the new father gushed. “The absolute best thing to happen to us.”

Kelli Brooke Tomashoff

Kelli Brooke Tomashoff has kept a pretty low profile since her Bravo departure despite having ambitions of stardom. The NYC Prep alum tried her hand at a music career after the series, releasing a single titled, “Gave Up On Love” in 2011.

Peter Cary “PC” Peterson

Photo by Jim Spellman/WireImage via Getty Images

Peter Cary “PC” Peterson made headlines when the show first premiered because he is the grandson of former US Secretary of Commerce Pete Peterson. The Bravo star said he wanted to be an actor in his teenage years but ended up living a more private life.

In 2018, he married his longtime friend Quentin Esme Brown. Tiffany Trump was the flower girl, W Magazine reported. According to The Sun, the pair filed for divorce in 2020.

Camille Isobel Hughes

According to Us Weekly, Camille Isobel Hughes works as “a senior manager for brand and product development at Arbonne International.”

Her Instagram bio pokes fun at her short-lived time on Bravo. It reads, “That girl from that thing that got 13% on rotten tomatoes.”

She married Michael Paquette in 2022. They welcomed their firstborn, a son named Charlie, in December 2023.

“Welcome to the world Charles Anthony Paquette. Born Christmas Day,” she wrote in a December 31 Instagram Post alongside an adorable photo of the newborn.

Taylor DiGiovanni

Taylor DiGiovanni was the Dan Humphrey of NYC Prep simply because she went to public school. Shocking! Her party where she brought public and prep school kids together will always be iconic. Someone give her a Nobel Peace Prize!

Her life after leaving the show is very much a mystery. She has stayed out of the limelight and her Instagram account is private.

We can’t wait to watch NYC Prep and relive all the 2000s nostalgia. From the oversized bags to the low-rise jeans, we are so ready for it.

Why Shahs of Sunset Needs To Make a Comeback

Shahs of Sunset
Photo by Taylor Hill/FilmMagic via Getty Images

Bravo’s Shahs of Sunset aired in March of 2012 and ran for nine seasons. The show was iconic, and the premise was pretty simple, with a focus on a group of friends who lived in Beverly Hills. The six Persian-American friends were shown balancing their work life and social life, all while trying to keep up with their family’s traditions. The series was a fascinating insight into the upper-middle-class Persian culture in LA. It was beyond refreshing to have a cast of genuinely authentic, albeit deeply flawed, people. It was a total bummer when the show went off the air in 2021, so I hope Bravo brings the series back for a reboot soon.

Shahs has an NBC connection

Shahs of Sunset was TV goodness, with the original cast—Reza Farahan, Golnesa Gharachedaghi, Mercedes Javid, and Mike Shouhed—knowing how to entertain. After the show was put on hiatus, the quartet kept close with their Bravo counterparts and NBCUniversal. Reza was asked to participate in Season 1 of The Traitors, and MJ was brought on for Season 2, making it down to the last three.

I can’t help but feel that NBC has left the door open for a possible return and wanted to see how the cast would be received when put back on TV. It turns out that fans still really want to see these guys in action. Shahs of Sunset still has loyal fans, which is always important.  If Bravo rebooted the show, it would already have a built-in following, which never hurts when it comes to the ratings. The series could be soft launched on Peacock just like Bravo did with the Real Housewives of Miami.

Each season was explosive

No matter how you cut it, each season of Shahs of Sunset was explosive. Unlike the Real Housewives franchise, which is known to have off-seasons, Shahs was always a hit. Even their reunions were full of drama and couldn’t be missed. Each time the group of friends got back together, they hinted at far more complicated issues, instantly making me want to commit to another season. Honestly, the drama was addicting. There was backyard vandalization, leaked texts, and an abusive boyfriend. Perhaps the Season 4 reunion was the wildest as Reza impulsive shaved his infamous mustache just minutes before the taping. It gave me Britney Spears vibes!

Family is everything

On Shahs of Sunset, family was everything. But just like Family Karma, the theme didn’t seem to last with Bravo executives. Fans loved watching the ins and outs of their family dynamic. We all have a parent who is so loving it can be smothering, like MJ, and their journeys felt so relatable. It felt a bit harsh that Braov decided to take these types of shows away because, as far as I can tell, they did well for the network.

Viewers also enjoyed seeing the lavish lifestyle of this group of friends. I mean, gold was everywhere! The glam and richness of the series was something viewers had never seen before. It was nice not to see a dinner party fight every episode like on the Real Housewives. I dare say Bravo has become a bit boring, as they use the same formula. Shahs had natural production talents, and I miss that.

Rumors are afoot

Over the years, there have been plenty of rumors about a possible return for Shahs of Sunset. Not too long after Season 10 was announced as the final season, MJ dropped a few breadcrumbs hinting at a possible reboot to ET. In 2022, MJ was again spotted with Reza and GG in front of cameras. When questioned, she shared, “We were supporting a new endeavor. Obviously, I don’t want them to be, like, off with my head and not get in too much trouble.”

With that famously coy smile, MJ went on to share, “We were doing a new thing because we did that show for such a long time, and it’s just great that people still are interested and invested in our lives as we have evolved and changed so much.” But sadly as of now, nothing has come to fruition. But the cast has appeared at the latest BravoCon, which is a sign of hope. With still such a grand following, Bravo would be silly not to at least entertain the idea of a reboot. So let’s give the people what they want already, without Mike – please.

Taylor Swift Fans Make Pump Rules Scandoval Edit With New Song

Taylor Swift
Photo by Matt Winkelmeyer/Getty Images for The Recording Academy

Right now, Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix’s life continues an upswing. Her longtime boyfriend, Tom Sandoval, cheated on her with her friend, Rachel Leviss for months. Ever since Ariana found out about the affair in March 2023, she has been booked and busy. And now, Pump Rules fans are reliving Scandoval with an assist from queen Taylor Swift.

Ariana and Sandoval were still living in the home that they purchased together. And it was just Bad Blood. Recently, Ariana purchased a $1.6 million home in Los Angeles. Now there is also news that Something About Her, the sandwich shop that she and Katie Maloney own, is finally opening next month.

Is Sandoval The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived?

A social media user made a video of Sandoval and Ariana, from the beginning of their relationship to the shattering events of the cheating scandal. It also featured scenes with Rachel and emotional scenes from the Season 10 VPR reunion. They set the footage to a song from Taylor’s newest album, The Tortured Poets Department. The selection, The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived, is fittingly about a breakup.

A user reshared the video on X, formerly known as Twitter. Of course, the song’s lyrics give Ariana’s feelings about the epic betrayal. And it seems pretty spot-on from what Ariana has said in interviews and on VPR. Give some of the lyrics a read below…

And I don’t miss what we had but could someone give / A message to the smallest man who ever lived / Were you sent by someone who wanted me dead? / Did you sleep with a gun underneath our bed? / Were you writing a book? / Were you a sleeper-cell spy?

In fifty years will all this be declassified? / And you’ll confess why you did it / And I’ll say good riddance / ‘Cause it wasn’t sexy once it wasn’t forbidden / I would’ve died for your sins, Instead I just died inside / And you deserve prison but you won’t get time.

You can catch Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules on Tuesday nights at 8/7c on Bravo.
