Cheryl Burke Praises Selma Blair After Dancing With The Stars Exit; Says Selma Is “A True Angel”

Cheryl Burke Praises Selma Blair After Dancing With The Stars Exit; Says Selma Is “A True Angel”

Dancing with the Stars pro Cheryl Burke competed on Season 31 with weatherman Sam Champion. Their journey ended on Disney+ night when the judges saved actor Trevor Donovan and pro Emma Slater.

In August of 2022, Cheryl celebrated four years of sobriety. She marked the milestone with a TikTok video set to Billie Eilish’s song “Bad Guy.” And Cheryl’s divorce from Matthew Lawrence was finalized in September 2022.

This season on DWTS, actress Selma Blair, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2018, was an inspiration to both her co-stars and viewers. She turned in great performances every week with her partner, Sasha Farber.

Unfortunately, Selma had to withdraw from the competition  on October 17, 2022 because of complications with her health. According to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, symptoms of MS include fatigue, difficulty walking, memory and speech issues, and pain.

Selma explained to Sasha why she had to drop out in a pre-taped package. “I had these MRIs and when the results came back, it just all adds up to I can’t,” Selma stated. “I can’t go on with the competition. I pushed as far as I could,” she added.

The couple performed one final dance together, a graceful waltz to “What the World Needs Now Is Love” by Andra Day. The DWTS judges gave the couple a perfect score of 40/40. The score was symbolic since it wouldn’t count for the competition.

Selma shared her gratitude for her time in the ballroom. “This was a really emotional night for me,” the Legally Blonde actress stated. “Because it was filled with so much love for me and my love for everyone here is really, really, really returned.”

Sasha spoke highly of his DWTS partner. “She has not only inspired myself but so many people around the world … there’s nothing this lady can’t do.”

Cheryl also spoke about her time with Selma. People reported that Cheryl shared a special message about Selma on her Instagram Story. The dance pro wrote, “There are many people we meet in our lives but few make a lasting impression on our minds and hearts. @selmablair you are one of those people.” Cheryl added, “I love you, and thank you for continuing to inspire me and many. You are a true angel.”

Selma’s Instagram Story was filled with reposts from her DWTS pros and co-stars. Pro dancer Witney Carson wrote, “There aren’t words to tell you how special you are. I love you so much!”

Judge Carrie Ann Inaba also shared her thoughts. “Bravo for your courage to join the show. And bravo for the wisdom to know it was time to stop and keep yourself safe,” she wrote. “I have so much love and respect for you.”

The D’Amelio Show star Dixie D’Amelio, whose mother, Heidi D’Amelio, and sister Charli D’Amelio are both competing, also posted a note for Selma. “You are amazing @selmablair. PERFECT SCORE,” she wrote. “Such an inspiration.”

Judge Derek Hough weighed in on Selma’s impact on DWTS. Derek was touched by how kind Selma was to everyone, from the crew to the hair and makeup team. “She’s so kind, so gracious, just so excited, never complains,” Derek stated. “Of all the people that could probably complain, she didn’t. She loved being here and she loved the people.”

Derek continued, “She has forever left her mark on this show, without a doubt. I think that what she achieved and what she did — and the way she did it, with such grace — it’s just perfection,” he added.

Dorit Kemsley Left A Spray Tan Stain On The Couch Following Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills Reunion

Dorit Kemsley Left A Spray Tan Stain On The Couch Following Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills Reunion
Dorit Kemsley Left A Spray Tan Stain On The Couch Following Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills Reunion

Season 12 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has come to an end, and Kathy Hilton left no survivors. Well, Sutton Stracke and Garcelle Beauvais are not included, obviously. She exposed Lisa Rinna for the fraud she is and further fractured her relationship with her sister Kyle Richards. The reunion was mostly heavy and intense, but none other than Dorit Kemsley has given us some comedic relief amidst it all.

Dorit’s last season of RHOBH was pretty heavy. She deal with a traumatic robbery and began her healing process. She and Kyle also fought off rumors that she was hooking up with her best friend’s husband, the perma-stoned Mauricio Umansky. Hey, Erika Jayne said Dorit is the next diamond holder headed for divorce. Even though I think that was nothing but a bit of projection. Only time will really tell all.

Anyway, Dorit spent most of the reunion trying to play peacekeeper between Kyle and Kathy. And turn out a fashion look, of course. However, eagle-eyed fans noticed that once the reunion ended and the ladies got up for a toast, Dorit left something behind — a massive spray tan stain. Page Six reports that the massive stain was clearly visible on the light couch as Dorit exited the stage. Crystal Kung Minkoff seemingly tried to help her friend by rearranging the pillows to make the skin-colored mark less noticeable. No pillow fluffing would take away from the massive mess left behind by Dorito dust.

Dorit is a lot of things — a child of the world, a fashionista, and oftentimes, a bit confused. She’s also often an unexpected treat in the background of all the RHOBH drama, and those are the moments in the show I’m thankful for. Andy Cohen, maybe your team should opt for a dark-colored couch at reunions from here on out. I’m shocked it nearly took two decades of Real Housewives for Bravo to figure that out.

Survivor 43 Episode 7 Recap: ‘This Is The Big Leagues’

Survivor 43 Episode 7 Recap: 'This Is The Big Leagues'
Survivor 43 Episode 7 Recap: 'This Is The Big Leagues'

These “new era” Survivor players just get it. As Jesse explained during this week’s newest episode, this is the point of the game, “Where legends are made or you flame out. This is the big leagues.” You simply aren’t going to coast through Survivor, and win. Sure, you may make it to the end of the game, but you’ll never have done enough to convince a jury of your peers that your game was worth awarding a million dollars to.

Though last week saw the remaining players “earning the merge,” it was this week’s episode where it really felt the game entered that post-merge phase. Last week, several players were immune, certain players didn’t have votes, and there was simply a lot going on. This episode, we saw a lot more individual dynamics play out, leading to a major blindside for a player that had felt relatively safe, up until the moment his torch was snuffed.

Yes, it was Cody and Jesse who ultimately decided to “go big” and take out Dwight. Actually, it was Cody’s idea, and the way that it was portrayed on air made it look like Jesse (and Karla) were truly the two players pulling the strings. Jesse had wanted to target Noelle, but abandoned the idea when Cody came in with strong feelings about voting out Dwight. Jesse “allowed” Cody to have his way, figuring that getting out Dwight would ultimately weaken Noelle anyways.

But it was James who really caused a whirlwind of panic. While with others at the water well, James noticed a bottle floating in the well, and since he was the first to spot it and retrieve it, it belonged to him. It was a clue that there was something hidden under the shelter, but while they all agreed not to actively look for it, James did anyways, and he was rewarded with the “Knowledge is Power” advantage…an advantage that is quite powerful yet hasn’t quite been used properly just yet, since being introduced just a few seasons ago. James decided to share what he found with others, to build trust, but all it really did was freak a few players out who were already hanging on to their own advantages or Idols. Like Cody, who now saw James as a bigger threat because that new power could be used to potentially take away Cody’s Idol. Because the game is ever-shifting, ever-adapting, the tribe decided to counter the “Knowledge is Power” advantage by playing a game of musical chairs with all of their Idols/advantages…they figured if James didn’t know who had what or which advantage was with whom, then there would be less a chance of James actually successfully nabbing someone’s Idol or advantage.

This strategy ended up backfiring spectacularly, when poor Jeanine gave her Idol to Dwight in case James came looking for it. But when Dwight was blindsided – as confirmed by Dalton Ross of EW – that Idol that Jeanine gave him to hang on to is now officially gone as well, out of the game along with Dwight. Apparently, once the vote-reading begins, it is not possible to trade or swap advantages or Idols. So Jeanine, in trying to protect herself from James taking her Idol, ended up losing her Idol anyways by over-thinking it. I mean, it’s easy to second-guess a player’s move after they make it, but I tend to think it is a very risky move to EVER give an Idol or an advantage to another player going into Tribal Council. Jeanine now knows why.

As Dwight mentioned in his parting message, he just missed the jury. That means that the remaining 11 players are the ones we will ride out the rest of the season with…most likely a Final Three with an eight-person jury. Of the 11 remaining players, we have seven man and just four women left in the game.

Elsewhere this episode, Gabler was mentioned as being a wild card and a possible target by Owen, but he absolutely crushed the final leg of the Immunity Challenge to score himself the first Individual Immunity of the season. He did so by summoning all sorts of people from his past, honoring them one by one.  It was a touching moment, I just felt kind of bad for Cody, who was trying to redeem himself from losing a big wrestling match in his youth, but that was apparently not cosmically important enough to make a difference. Gabler continues to be one of the stand-out contestants this season, and every time you underestimate him, he becomes more and more resilient.

Episode Take-Away: The episode started and ended with Jeanine in complete and utter shell-shock, both times for good reason. She started off losing her closest ally and feeling terrible about being on the outs, and she ended the episode once again on the outs and having to experience the added gut-punch of realizing that her Immunity Idol was lost. The good news for Jeanine is that she won’t be on anybody’s radar…there are simply way too many bigger fish to fry. But players playing from the bottom usually don’t have a good enough story to actually win in the end…no big moves for the resumé when they are simply scuttering by.

The big foreshadowing of the episode might have been the discussions about “was it too early to make a big move?” or to use Cody‘s surfing analogy, should they keep hanging out safely on the beach or jump in the water. As we see with next week’s preview, there is talk of a majority seven-person alliance forming, but also scenes showing those on the outs – like Jeanine and now Noelle – possibly banding together to create some chaos. Jesse, Karla and to a certain extent Cody, have been portrayed thus far as sort of running things behind-the-scenes, but this Dwight vote-out may end up being their defining moment should they end up losing…was it, in fact, too soon to make a big move? Time will tell!

All of Erik’s work can be found and purchased on his site, DabuDoodles.com, and I urge you to support this fantastically skilled former Survivor player!

Out this week: Dwight

Won Immunity: Gabler (1)

Vote Result: No advantages or Idols were played. 7 – Dwight (Cassidy, Jesse, Cody, Karla, Sami, James, Ryan), 3 – Ryan (Gabler, Owen, Jeanine), 2 – James (Noelle, Dwight),

Current Advantage List:

  • Cody – 1 Immunity Idol
  • Karla – 1 Immunity Idol
  • Noelle – 1 Steal-A-Vote
  • James – Knowledge is Power advantage

Next Week’s Episode: There are 11 left in the game and a seven-person alliance may be forming…but there is also an uprising from those not currently in power.

Alcohol Products Released By Real Housewives; Did They Last?

Alcohol Products Released By Real Housewives; Did They Last?
Alcohol Products Released By Real Housewives; Did They Last?

If you are an avid viewer of Bravo programs, you have already been initiated into the world of creating a brand. After someone becomes relatively famous with a fan base, obviously the next step is to market a product aimed at those who crave any connection with their favorite celebrity.

The Real Housewives franchise has given birth to many stars releasing anything and everything with their name connected to it. We almost had toaster ovens, but we’ve been inundated with a variety of alcoholic beverages. Some have been good, and some have been… gross – so let’s take a look at the most successful offerings of liquid courage released by women who tend to drink a LOT.

Bethenny Frankel’s Skinnygirl Cocktails

Obviously you cannot make this list without mentioning Real Housewives of New York alum, Bethenny Frankel. When RHONY first premiered, Bethenny was trying to sell muffins at grocery stores and brand herself as a private chef. When she started ordering Skinnygirl margaritas on camera, it was Bethenny (and definitely not Luann de Lesseps) who turned it into an absolute fortune. In 2011, Skinnygirl was sold for $120 million. It might have started out with low-calorie margs, but expanded to include wine, snacks, sweeteners, and salad dressings. Bethenny told Forbes it was the first ready-to-drink cocktail with little calories. At that particular time, it was the brand of liquor with the quickest growth.

Heather Dubrow’s Collette

Heather Dubrow returned to Real Housewives of Orange County last season and showed off the house many fans were dying to see. Now they will have to see it in reruns because Fancy Pants and Terry Dubrow just sold their manse for about $55 million. Heather and Terry launched a skin care line back in 2015, which tracks for a physician. In July 2015, professional drinker Heather released a sparkling wine, which tracks for Heather. Collaborating with Bello Family Vineyards, Heather named the Brut after her daughter, Collette. It’s a damn good thing Terry is still busy fixing botched boobs because at a price point of $43.99, Heather’s fancy champs was buried in a shallow grave.

Teresa Giudice’s Fabellini

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice is no stranger to family drama or marketing the absolute hell out of herself. She tried to teach us how to cook like an Italian and then tried to teach us to drink sweet, bubbly libations. “Fall in love with Fabellini” was the tag line for Tre’s Prosecco, and the launch was featured on RHONJ. Unfortunately, Wine Wave, Teresa’s business partner at Fabellini, parted ways with her after the felony conviction and resulting jail time. In 2017, Andy Cohen put some snark on it when he said, “Somewhere, there is a warehouse full of vats of Fabellini. And I’m not even kidding. Like, it’s there, fermenting.” No more Fabellini for you!

Lisa Vanderpump’s Vaderpump Rosé

Lisa Vanderpump’s days on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills might be gone, but don’t worry, she can still use product placement for her own alcohol brands on Vanderpump Rules. Out of all the Housewives who have created a wine or liquor beverage, one would think LVP’s Vanderpump Rosé tastes like experience, superiority, with hints of hating Lisa Rinna florals and fruits. In 2016 Lisa released the beverage made in Côtes de Provence, France with her daughter Pandora Todd Sabo. I’m happy to report the rosé is still in existence and you can find it at Total Wine & More for about $14.99. Naturally “a friend” told me about this, I definitely have not purchased several bottles for myself. Sure, Jan.

Ramona Singer’s Ramona Pinot Grigio

I absolutely refuse to speak on Housewives wines without mentioning Turtle Time. Real Housewives of New York star (alum?), Ramona Singer relied on Pinot flowing through her veins so she could tolerate all of the people she felt were beneath her. It was revered by her friends on RHONY, but eventually took a back seat to Ramona’s skin care line. I know, tragic. Created in Veneto, Italy and mocked by many, Ramona quipped, “Sommeliers that taste my wine are very impressed.” I guess those sommeliers across the globe are suffering daily because Ramona’s wine is no longer available for purchase. I get it, you are devastated – but on the bright side you can calm your swollen eyes from crying with Ageless by Ramona, which you can find on Amazon.

Caelynn Miller-Keyes And Dean Unglert Are Both Changing Their Last Names After Their Wedding

Caelynn Miller-Keyes And Dean Unglert Are Both Changing Their Last Names After Their Wedding
Caelynn Miller-Keyes And Dean Unglert Are Both Changing Their Last Names After Their Wedding

Newly engaged couple Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes are both planning to change their surnames following their wedding. But you’ll never guess their new last name or the sentimental reason behind it.

On October 30th, Caelynn revealed on her Instagram that she and Dean will be changing their last name once they tie the knot. The Bachelor alum shared, “We’ll both be changing our last name to Bell!”

Well, that does roll off the tongue a little easier than “Unglert.”

Caelynn went on to explain the significance of their new name saying, “Bell is Dean‘s mom’s maiden name.” The intended name change was reported by E! Online.

The sweet news comes just a week after the couple got engaged, after dating more than three years. Dean proposed to his longtime love on the romantic island of Kauai (Hawaii) on Oct. 24th. A few days later, he shared photos of the couple on the beach to Instagram with the caption,  “under promise. over deliver. 10.24.22.”

Okay then. Dean‘s idea of a romantic moment  is encapsulated in a sales slogan. He might have just as well said, “Deal sealed. 10-24-22.” I wonder if they shook hands?

Dean and Caelynn first met on Season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise in 2019, getting off to a rocky start with Dean initially ending their relationship on the beach, before ultimately returning to win the Miss USA 2018 runner-up back.

However, the engagement was not without a few bumps in the road as the former startup recruiter previously revealed that the diamond ring he intended to propose with was lost, so he had to use a placeholder ring.

“It might be in the garage somewhere, but yeah, moral of the story is don’t put your engagement rings in the junk drawer,” he confessed to fellow member of Bachelor Nation Jared Haibon on their podcast following the engagement announcement. “So I did have to go out and buy a placeholder ring for now, but it’s not quite as nice as the first one was.”

Hmmmm, engagement rings aren’t cheap. Who thinks it’s a good idea to hide your intended’s ring in your garage? Wasn’t it in a box? Doesn’t seem like the responsible thing to do. But then Dean‘s house is a van that he and Caelynn left Paradise to travel around the country in. I’m surprised he even has a garage.

However, all’s well that ends well for the couple as the proposal was still just as magical, with Caelynn posting her own pics to social media about their special day. “The hardest and scariest hike I’ve ever done led to the best day of my life,” she wrote. “I can’t wait to be velcroed to you forever @deanie_babies.”

“Velcro?!” That’s a new one. I’ll just leave that alone for now.

TELL US – WHAT DO YOU THINK OF DEAN AND CAELYNN’S PLAN TO CHANGE THEIR LAST NAMES? DO YOU REALLY THINK DEAN LOST THE ORIGINAL RING IN HIS GARAGE?
