Big Brother 24 Episode 17 Recap: Prizes & Punishments POV

Finally, the biggest target in the Big Brother 24 house turned the tables when she won one of the summer’s most challenging Head of Household competitions. Taylor Hale struggled with landing on her block nominees for the week, but she settled on Indy Santos and Terrance Higgins.

Taylor’s target for the week is Terrance. Her choices for block nominees were limited as her alliance, the Leftovers accounts for 7 Big Brother 24 house members. The prizes and punishments edition of the Power of Veto will be held tonight. Can Taylor keep her target on the block, or will another target surface that is more enticing than Terrance? Let’s find out.

Week 6 Block Nominations Aftermath

Taylor feels as though her nominations will ruffle the fewest feathers in the Big Brother house. Taylor knows that jury considerations weigh heavily at this point of the game and moving forward.

This is Terrance’s 4th time on the block, fearing eviction. He has managed to escape the three previous times. In the diary room, Taylor told Terrance that Monte is her target…not him. Terrance is not buying what Taylor is selling.

The new Five Swatters alliance, which includes Indy, Jasmine Davis, Alyssa Snider, Joseph Abdin, and Kyle Capener, is plotting for the upcoming POV competition. Don’t forget, Kyle and Joe’s allegiance lies with the Leftovers. They are simply gathering information to give back to their main alliance.

Taylor is hoping that the nominations stay the same this week. That way, she will have less blood on her hands. She doesn’t need to nominate a replacement nominee for Indy and put any more targets on her back.

Taylor won’t have many choices for a replacement nominee if the POV is used this week. Consequently, Joseph volunteered for Taylor to bring down Indy and put him on the block next to Terrance. That way, their alliance is protected. Michael Bruner and the others in the Leftovers alliance don’t agree with that plan.

Week 6 Power of Veto Competition

HOH Taylor and the two block nominees will automatically compete in the POV competition. In addition, Alyssa, Jasmine, and Kyle were randomly picked to play in the POV competition.

Right before the POV competition, the Leftovers decided that taking out a bigger target would benefit their games more this week than a weaker player like Terrance going to the jury. They decided to pull down Terrance and put Joe on the block next to Indy, and she would become the new target to be the first houseguest sent to the jury house.

This POV competition is called Punk-A-Roo. Players will play in a series of rounds. Players start by bouncing a ball down the neck of a giant guitar. Each time the ball bounces, players are awarded positive or negative points. The lowest total score from each round will be eliminated.

Once each houseguest is eliminated, they will smash their guitar to reveal their prize or punishment. They may exchange their gift with another player if they don’t like what they have received. The last player holding the golden POV at the end of the competition wins.

Terrance was the first player eliminated and won the golden POV. Indy was the next player knocked out, and her prize was actually a punishment for receiving 182 temporary tattoos throughout the week. She exchanged prizes with Terrance and now holds the golden POV.

Taylor was eliminated in round 3. She won the prize called London is calling. This is a trip to the city of London. She kept the trip. Alyssa was eliminated next and received Skid & Fancy. This punishment requires two houseguests to be tied together for 48 hours wearing a costume. She gave up the punishment for Taylor’s trip to London.

In the final round between Kyle and Jasmine, the winner was Kyle. Jasmine’s prize was $5,000 cash. Jasmine took the trip from Alyssa. Kyle won the Punk-itard where he will wear a costume and perform concerts for the houseguests. Kyle chose to take the POV from Indy. So the final prizes and punishments are:

Terrance’s punishment was to receive 182 tattoos during the week.
Indy’s punishment was the punk-itard, and she will have to perform concerts all week in costume.
Taylor’s punishment will have her tied to another player all week in costume.
Alyssa’s prize was $5,000 cash.
Jasmine’s prize was a trip to London.
Kyle’s prize was the golden Power of Veto.

Alyssa took the trip to London away from HOH Taylor, which upset her. As a result, Taylor is now considering putting her on the block as a punishment. Only time will tell. Taylor is pretty upset that Alyssa did that to her when she specifically asked everyone to let her keep the trip to London.

Kenya Moore Slams RHOA Co-Star For Stealing NeNe Leakes’ Lines And Trying To Be NeNe; Says There Will Only Be One NeNe

Kenya Moore never minces her words — especially when talking about her costars on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. With season 14 winding down, she took to Instagram live to answer fan questions and dish about what’s going down in Atlanta, and of course, she didn’t hesitate to throw some shade at her fellow peaches. Most notably, she thinks that one of her current castmates is desperately trying to be like the legendary NeNe Leakes.

The Bravo Shaderoom captured the Instagram live, and when a fan mentioned that one of the current Housewives is trying to emulate NeNe, Kenya quickly agreed.

“Yeah, I do believe that someone is trying to be like NeNe, absolutely. They’re getting all NeNe’s old lines, trying to be a NeNe,” Kenya remarked. “Even the differences I’ve had with NeNe, there will only be one NeNe.”

Now, it’s not 100% clear which one of her RHOA castmates she’s talking about here, but based on what we’ve seen so far, it’s pretty easy for fans to assume that she’s referring to NeNe’s old pal Marlo Hampton. The friend-turned-Housewife has been at the center of almost all of the drama this season, and she’s been working overtime trying to create a memorable moment.

While continuing to reflect on the shenanigans of season 14, Kenya noted that particular Housewives only argue with her to get press. Again, she didn’t mention Marlo by name, but who else could she be talking about?

“If they can successfully argue with me, it makes them relevant. They get headlines for arguing with me,” Kenya said. “They don’t get headlines for arguing with anyone else,” she noted before acknowledging that arguing with Kandi Burruss might also generate a headline or two.

And while talking about former Atlanta Housewives, another fan chimed in on Kenya’s Instagram Live, suggesting that Eva Marcille should come in and snatch Marlo’s peach for season 15. Kenya agreed that she’d love for Eva to come back, but the chances of that happening are slim to none.

“First of all, Eva doesn’t need to take anyone’s peach. She can have a peach all her own,” Kenya declared before admitting it’s unlikely to happen. “At this point, I don’t think she wants it. She’s starring in tv series. She’s doing her thing. So, It’s going to be a miracle trying to get her back, but she would make an awesome team with me and Kandi,” she continued.

Of course, Kenya wants Eva, the honorary shade assassin, on her side. We saw how Eva handled Marlo during that bus ride in season 11’s cast trip to Japan. But for now, Kenya will have to keep battling it out on her own against someone trying to be like NeNe Leakes.

Teresa Giudice Is Launching A Podcast

Look out, Two T’s In A Pod. Move aside, Reasonably Shady. Just B with Bethenny Frankel, your time is up. There’s a new podcasting Real Housewife in town, and her name is Teresa Giudice. Yes, the golden-voiced girl from Real Housewives Of New Jersey is gearing up to launch a podcast!

The new podcast is called Namaste Bitches, and the newlywed New Jersey Housewife shared the news on her Instagram with a picture alongside her co-host Melissa Pfeister, a nutritionist and podcaster. Let’s hope the relationship with this Melissa goes better than her relationship with Melissa Gorga.

“I wanted to share one more exciting life update before I leave for my honeymoon! The rumors are true and I’m starting a podcast with @melissapfeister when I get back,” Teresa captioned the photo.

It’s unclear what rumors Teresa is referring to here, but it’s nice that she has plans when she gets back from her honeymoon with Luis “Louie” Ruelas.

The podcast title might sound like a sassy show about yoga or meditation, but in the 1-minute trailer they recently shared, Teresa says that she and this other Melissa will talk about “everything.” The official podcast description goes into more detail, promising that the ladies will “bring the sass, fun, real talk, and serious table flipping each Wednesday as they explore everything from life, love, and family to food, fashion, and celebrity.”

When Teresa announced the new project on Instagram, her fellow Housewives flooded the comments with congratulations – many of who had just attended Teresa’s big fairytale wedding. Real Housewives of New York City veteran Jill Zarin wrote a congratulatory comment, saying, “Mazel Tov! I couldn’t think of a better duo!!! Go kill it girls!!! Happy Honeymoon!”

And Teresa’s castmate from Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, Cynthia Bailey, shared her support with heart emojis and a comment reading, “LOVE THIS!!! My girls!”

The upcoming podcast comes from the network PodcastOne, which, coincidentally, also produces the podcast Melissa Gorga on Display. The first official episode drops on September 21, with new episodes dropping on Wednesdays.

Kenya Moore Slams Sanya Richards-Ross As Insensitive For Saying Kenya Uses Her Divorce As An Excuse

Up until now, I was trying to give Sanya Richards-Ross a chance. The Real Housewives of Atlanta newbie certainly has an amazing story. I love that Housewives added an athlete to the mix. And an extremely accomplished one at that. Additionally, she seems perfectly nice and relatively cool. But something was niggling at me when she started to get into everyone’s business. We all know that newbies need to take every chance they can get to be involved but I’ve started to feel like Sanya was overstepping just a few too many times.

Then on the most recent episode of RHOA, Sanya took all the ladies to Jamaica for a sponsorship she was doing. She told them it would be relaxing and fun. Then she made it anything but. So by the time Kenya Moore ditched them on a trip to go run around a track, Sanya was not happy. When they sat down later to talk, Kenya opened up about her issues with her divorce and how her daughter is having a hard time seeing her dad. Kenya is a full grown mama bear, so her priority was to handle her home life, even on vacation.

Sanya then complained in her confessional that Kenya uses her divorce as an excuse for everything. It would be insensitive under normal circumstances. But even more so after Kenya opened up and was vulnerable with her. A lot of fans saw it the same way and tweeted out their thoughts on the matter. The Peach Report on Instagram captured their comments, along with Kenya’s response to Sanya’s jab.

One fan wrote, “It pissed me off how Sanya downplayed Kenya’s vulnerable moment. We rarely ever see Kenya being soft and open like this, opening up about the divorce etc. And you use this moment to shit on her? Girl bye #RHOA.”  Another added, “Sanya so nasty for trying to say Kenya is using her divorce as an excuse…need her to remove her head from Marlo [Hampton]’s ass asap cause she sounds crazy.”

Kenya retweeted both observations but responded directly to the second one. She replied, “That’s so insensitive and nasty. I was trying to confide in her and she trashed me in her confessional.”

Listen, we all know that we ride for our favorites and I have always been a Kenya apologist. Yes, she was wrong for being late on multiple occasions. And yes, it was wrong to make the whole bus wait and then ditch them at the last minute. I personally would have ditched a trip to watch Sanya run on a track. They’re in Jamaica! The ladies could watch Sanya do that at home. Regardless, yes, we all know Kenya should show up on time and attend the filmed events she says she will.

But Sanya’s reaction to Kenya’s vulnerability is a no for me. Sometimes you just have to cut people some slack. It’s not a surprise that Kenya would have had multiple instances where her contentious divorce issues might affect her mental state. It’s been ongoing for awhile now. And Sanya should just consider herself lucky that Kenya allowed her in, even just for a little bit.

Below Deck Mediterranean Recap: The Big Re-Veale

It’s not her! Ok yachties, we can all breathe easy. Exhale, folks. Malia White is not coming back to Below Deck Mediterranean. On the other hand, the returning crew member joining the deck team was not who I was expecting either. Not even a little bit. I even went back through the lists of former casts by season. And was convinced it was either Malia, Jamie Jason or I don’t know, maybe Delaney Evans stepping back on board. (Gosh, can you imagine Delaney of all people getting another shot at reality stardom?) But nope, it was none of the above.

We also blessedly get a bit of a break this week in the drama between Natasha Webb and Chef Dave White. At least in terms of direct conflict. The episode starts with Dave switching cabins with Kyle Viljoen. So now the co-second stew gets to be buddy-buddy with his boss and have gossipy sleepovers every night. But of course, it’s not all smooth sailing. The chief stew manages to find a way to move the story forward, even though Dave’s officially out from under her spell.

New Deckhand, Familiar Face

The new deckhand is…Courtney Veale?! Was anyone else expecting that? Even when it showed her long blonde hair as she strode down the dock, it wasn’t clicking for me. And I’m the one who recapped all of last season every week. As it turns out, Season 6 apparently made Courtney realize she sort of hated being a stew. So she pivoted and got training in between seasons as a deckhand. Well, so much for that hard-earned pair of extra stripes she was awarded last year. My only wish now is that we can get Katie Flood back as chief stew before the end of the season.

Besides Captain Sandy Yawn, the person most thrilled to see Courtney is obviously Mzi Dempers. After filming wrapped she even went all the way to South Africa to visit him. But he insists any romantic feelings he spent last year harboring for her are long gone. Well, kind of. Maybe. They might still be there a little. But the less romantic tension the better. Especially considering the two will be working in the same department this year.

Ex-Boyfriend Enters the Chat

Natasha is now on her best behavior with Dave. But she can’t help but create a little more drama for herself by contacting her ex-boyfriend. You know, the one she cheated on with Dave on their last boat. Because now she’s realizing she may have thrown a grenade onto her life for no reason. She’s anxious to get as far away from the boat (and Bravo’s cameras) to have the conversation with her ex. But sorry, honey. You’re still mic’d. We can hear you crying all the way over there on the dock. She tearfully tells her ex how much she regrets what she did with Dave. And apparently he’s more forgiving than most people would be. Because he wants to work things out with her…

So Natasha essentially spends the remainder of the episode with her head in the clouds and thinking about her boyfriend. Even once the third charter officially starts. She’s constantly brushing off the other stews to text with him. To the point that it seems to be a detriment to her job performance? During the first lunch, Kyle loses his temper when he’s magically the only person on service. Because Natasha’s squirreled away tapping into her phone. Of course, Dave is oblivious that Natasha’s back in contact with the guy she apparently wanted to leave for him. And Captain Sandy doesn’t seem to catch her slacking off either. But if this continues, it won’t be good for her.

Docked and Loaded

The third charter may officially be underway, but it’s off to a terrible start. The weather in Malta looks sunny and breezy. But according to Captain Sandy, that equals giant swells out at sea. So from the moment the new group of guests step on board, they have to stay on the dock. As always, this creates a rather stressful situation for the crew. How do you entertain guests who are paying thousands of dollars for a luxury yacht vacation when they’re stuck two feet from shore? If you’re Storm Smith, the answer is to get them back on land. It’s called an excursion!

So Storm, Mzi and Courtney round up the guests for a golf cart tour of historical Malta. Except there’s only a tour guide on one of the carts, so I’m not exactly sure how that worked in transit. It looked nice enough when they would stop and get out. But in reality, it was just an excuse to get the guests off the boat and take the pressure off. Kyle also went to great lengths to keep them entertained back on board. Even with a toothache that put him in quite a foul mood.

Clash of the Nats

Oh wait, did I just say the pressure was taken off the crew? That was only while the guests were zooming around the island. Once they return, the interior still has to throw a joint 50th birthday party for the primary and her cousin. Because they’re from Vegas, Natalya Scudder decides to go all out and create a casino-themed night for the guests to remember. The (other) second stew is always anxious for the guests to ooh and ahh at her decorations. And she always wants to be there to see their reactions. But when Natasha sends Kyle to bed early on account of his toothache, it sets off a chain reaction resulting in Natalya feeling, well, less than appreciated.

With the interior one person down, Natasha asks someone on the deck team to fill in for the night. And surprise, surprise, that person happens to be Courtney. You can’t say she doesn’t have the necessary experience. But because she doesn’t know the boat yet, Natasha asks Courtney to stick with her for service. And sends Natalya below deck to spend the night in housekeeping. Which is precisely the opposite of what she wants to be doing with her night. Courtney even has to wear the sparkly pink dress Natalya already has on. The slight leads to the first little tiff between Natasha and Natalya. And Natalya running down to Kyle‘s bunk to complain. Hmm…looks like there might be cracks in the boat’s self-described “power team” after all.

While Natalya‘s doing turndowns, the rest of the crew gets undressed for the guests’ birthday party. Namely most of the male crew members. Because a preference sheet is forcing Mzi to once again be a stripper. This time as a firefighter with Storm in a matching uniform. And Chef Dave ends the night by serving dessert shirtless. The all-female charter group goes gaga. Everyone’s happy except Natalya, basically.

Another Day, Another Dolphin

The next morning, the weather has calmed significantly. So the boat can finally head out for the second and final day of the charter. Storm‘s understandably nervous about being in charge of getting the boat off the dock for the very first time. But he’s bound to do a better job than Raygan Tyler, right? Mmmm…you’d be surprised. He runs through the game plan with Captain Sandy and seems prepared. The Bravo gods are determined to work against him though, and his radio starts cutting out as soon as the boat begins moving. Or maybe Raygan cursed the yacht as she was leaving?

Captain Sandy seems to think it’s Storm who doesn’t know how to work the radio. But hasn’t he communicated just fine up until now? Either way, communication is less than ideal as she’s bringing M/Y Home off the dock. Jason Gaskell‘s successfully communicating from the bow with hand signals. But Sandy can only hear roughly every other word Storm’s trying to say over the walkie. And as if it couldn’t get worse, the boat is headed straight for one of the concrete dolphins. Again. Just like last time. Storm’s warnings to kick forward are useless. And the episode ends with the boat once again driving straight into a dolphin. This time on Storm’s watch. Oops. So much for proving you can be a bosun, huh?

Bethenny Frankel Says She Doesn’t Exercise

Bethenny Frankel built a whole brand off of the desire to be thin. When we first met the Real Housewives of New York star, she was peddling muffins in a gourmet food shop. But the natural foods chef quickly pivoted when she noticed a gap in the alcohol market. She created the Skinnygirl brand with a signature drink – a low-calorie margarita, bottled up and sold at your local liquor store. It was a smash and Bethenny got rich when she sold the brand in 2011. Now Skinnygirl makes everything from alcohol to deli meat.

Which shows you just how big the market is for those who want to get thin or stay thin. But the five-time bestselling author is now sharing her current beliefs on staying healthy. As reported by Page Six, Bethenny recently made a TikTok where she told fans that sleep and happiness are more important than staying thin.

She stated, “So I don’t exercise. I do what I can when I can. I’ll snowboard if I can, I’ll surf if I can, I walk on the beach whenever I can, but I choose [to] sleep first. Sleep is the No. 1 priority.” Bethenny added, “And being happy is one priority.”

The former reality tv star admitted that when she was in her 30s, she was “always on a diet,” despite being 20 pounds heavier. She shared of her food choices at the time, “I was always good and I was bad and it’s the sauce on the side and steamed.” Bethenny then referenced her 2009 book, Naturally Thin: Unleash Your SkinnyGirl and Free Yourself from a Lifetime of Dieting. She talked about the book explaining “food noise.”

Bethenny went on to say, “I eat what I want, but I don’t ever binge, and I don’t work out. I don’t do weights. I believe in balance.” She then noted that she “believes in” sleep, French fries, alcohol and “not being crazy” over diet and exercise.

Fans of the philanthropist expressed gratitude in the comments. One user wrote, “I’m 37 next month. Bethenny has previously acknowledged her issues with food and diet in the past. I was in an obesity clinic in third grade because I was slightly chubby. I was on every single diet known to man from that age until about 33 years of age.”

Joe And Melissa Gorga Reportedly “Laugh About” Cheating Rumors

Bravo has yet to announce the premiere date for Season 13 of Real Housewives of New Jersey, but the anticipated storylines are sure to deliver. The season finale has been largely spoiled since we’ve all heard that bombshell rumor about Melissa Gorga allegedly cheating on Joe Gorga by now.

According to Page Six, the gossip about Melissa made it onto RHONJ thanks to the Garden State bone collector, Margaret Josephs. According to the outlet, multiple sources have accused Margaret’s longtime friend turned enemy Laura Marasca Jensen of stirring the pot by accusing Melissa of kissing actor Nick Barrotta after a night out in New York a few YEARS ago. My my.

Sources close to the actor “strongly denied” the allegations, while another insider called the rumor “ridiculous” adding,“[Nick] has been in a relationship for, like, 14 years, and they’re all friends.”

Laura has admitted that she doesn’t know whether the rumor is true, but she is 100% certain that The Marge has been running her mouth about it. “I was told about this [by Margaret], who was not even there, herself,” she explained. “She told me that someone told her who was there that night.”

Laura claims she and Margaret were friends for decades and spoke about the rumor “a while ago” when they were still friendly. Laura kept the secret and even admitted she does not think Margaret was sharing the rumor to ruin Melissa adding, “She was gossiping. It’s what she does.”

The secret made its way to the Bravo cameras after Laura reached out to Teresa Giudice and Jennifer Aydin in February of 2021 to better “align” herself for a spot on the show in Season 13. Classic. Apparently, the women had a four-hour conversation about “life” and Laura thought it was a great time to share the rumor about Tre’s least favorite sister-in-law.

“My intention was never for anyone or their families to be hurt,” Laura tried to claim. “The intention was for me to talk to Melissa alone and let her know what was being said about her because I felt I was probably not the only one that knew. I didn’t think Margaret only told me [the cheating rumor]. It had nothing to do with being on-camera at all.” Just a concerned citizen!

The existing RHONJ cast filmed their Season 12 reunion in late March, so Tre and Jennifer did show some loyalty by keeping the secret despite “all the Housewives” knowing what was going on behind the scenes…I guess.

Page Six is now reporting that the rumor has finally risen to the surface, blowing up the Season 13 finale filming event. According to the outlet, a source close to the Melissa and Joe shared, “They’re laughing about it.” They expressed that the very idea of Melissa and Nick having a tryst is “ridiculous” adding, “[They’ve] all been friends for years.”

According to the insider, Melissa and Nick have always hung out in group settings and that Joe is a good friend of the actor. I personally can’t imagine Mel or Joe knowing anyone famous and not posting thirst traps, but alright.

Sources close to Nick revealed that the “Divorce Court” star is “shocked that someone would make up something so nasty in an attempt to destroy two families.” Imagine traumatizing someone famous for their time on Divorce Court. The gall! Through it all, Laura says she “stands by her truth.”

“I never said [the rumor] was true. I said I was told by Margaret that someone saw that. I never said that Melissa did that.” Whatever, hun. This is friend-of energy at best.

Sources close to Laura claim that she has auditioned to be on RHONJ a whopping three times until she got desperate. “She went to two people who didn’t like [Margaret] crying to them and telling them all these stories,” they revealed. “Things with an ounce of truth, she twisted it. So were Margaret and Melissa ever out with these guys? Yes. Was there ever any kissing? No. No one made out with anybody.”

The cheating rumors are reported to come up on the upcoming thirteenth season of Real Housewives of New Jersey thanks to Jennifer Aydin bringing them out on camera. Bless this mess!

Shep Rose’s Ex Taylor Ann Green Wants Andy Cohen To Set Her Up With Tom Schwartz

Things seem to be done-done between Taylor Ann Green and Shep Rose from Southern Charm. According to People, during a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Taylor confirmed she is no longer with Shep.

When she was asked if things are amicable Taylor responded that she’s not planning to foster any kind of relationship with Shep moving forward. “He wants to be, but that’s having his cake and eating it too. So, no,” she told Andy Cohen. “I’m not about that. Not for right now, at least.” You go girl.

Taylor admitted that she doesn’t “assume” Shep has been entirely faithful to her during their relationship. And that was not including the infamous stairwell kiss moment discussed during the show. She also seemed unimpressed that Shep included details of his previous hook-ups with Kathryn Dennis in his latest book.

And though Taylor says she’s not dating yet, she may be about to take us down a path of yet another chaotic Bravo cross-over rebound. During the WWHL episode she told Andy about a  crush she has on none other than Tom Schwartz! The girl has a type. Color me impressed she found someone less employed and even more scuzzy??

Andy asked Taylor if there is anyone he could set her up with from the Bravo universe, to which she replied, “Blonde Tom.” She added, “I met him at NBC and Friends and he was just a doll. He’s very lovely.” Andy seemed pleased, and said they will likely cross paths at the upcoming Bravocon.

Tom Schwartz is also newly single and literally always ready to mingle. He and Katie Maloney announced their divorce following Season 9 of Vanderpump Rules.

“Katie & I are separating. I’m not quite ready to use the ‘D’ word because it’s too painful,” Tom wrote in March. He added, “Fully respect[s] Katie’s decision and we’ve had healthy, productive conversations about it. It would be far sadder if she decided to stay with me whilst not happy.”

Tom and Taylor are both set to appear at Bravocon in October. Andy Cohen will almost certainly be arranging a meet-cute following his excitement at Taylors admission during WWHL. Are we staring down yet another rebrand/cross over?

90 Day Fiancé Recap: Tell All Part 1

Last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance was entertaining to say the least. For a group with so many issues, they seemed to have a lot to say about everyone else. It was like the battle of who is worse off. I was surprised some participants were so confrontational. But I have to admit I enjoyed every moment of it. This episode was so messy.  I can’t wait for Part 2 because it looks like things are just getting started.

The cast of 90 Day Fiance Season 9 comes together to relive their biggest moments and hash out unresolved dramas. This includes a surprise first for 90 Day. Jibri spent more time being confrontational with everyone else than he did on resolving his own family issues.  Shaeeda throws shade when Bilal’s ex joins the conversation. Let’s get straight to the recap.

Emily, 29 (Salina, Kansas) and Kobe, 34 (Cameroon)

Emily and Kobe now have two children. Their second child is a beautiful baby girl. Emily is now a stay at home mother while Kobe works outside the home. There isn’t much revealed in this episode, but I’m sure a deeper dive into these two are coming. Throughout the season they had some serious issues. It was evident to anyone who can read I don’t care much for Emily. So I am looking forward to learning more about their post season life with two children.

Patrick, 31 (Austin, Texas) and Thais, 25 (Brazil)

Since the show ended, Patrick and Thais are no longer living in Dallas. They moved shortly to Las Vegas shortly afterward. In addition, Thais is 16 weeks pregnant with her first child. They were both shocked because Patrick thought he wasn’t able to have kids due to his past steroid use. She took multiple tests and got confirmation from the doctor before revealing the big news.

Thais still has issues with jealousy. She has trust issues because Patrick cheated on her while she was in Brazil. Apparently, he lied and said he was training another woman, but actually had a sexual relationship with her.  He claims it was very early on and he didn’t consider them in an exclusive relationship yet. Thais found out this information on the day they got engaged.  According to Patrick, he can’t even check his direct messages on social media unless she is sitting next to him. Later, Patrick’s brother John joins the cast to shake things up. He ends up having words with messy meddler Jibri almost immediately.

Kara, 29 (Charlottesville, Virginia) and Guillermo, 23 (Venezuela)

Guillermo and Kara surprise everyone revealing that she is 16 weeks pregnant with their first child. Despite her current state, she is put on the hot seat for her controlling nature with Guillermo. She is doubles down by saying he acts like a child at times. While challenging Kara, Patrick gets triggered and says her behavior is representative of American women. What the hell? Did he really just say all American women are controlling? Guillermo admits that he doesn’t feel like Kara reciprocates the respect he gives her.

For the some reason, the producers decide to be messy and bring out Kara’s high school boyfriend. Are they serious? Why even give this clown a platform? Clearly he is seeking clout getting on TV insulting Guillermo. Jibri is so annoyed by the whole situation he tells Kara she upgraded from her ex and calls him Ozzy Osborne. I have to admit that was funny. There was no point in bringing that guy to the reunion. Luckily, that ended as quickly as it started.

 

Bilal, 42 (Kansas City, Missouri) and Shaeeda, 37 (Trinidad and Tobago)

The topic of the prank Bilal played on Shaeeda about his house is revisited. Shaeeda explains she was hurt because when he would visit her she would treat him like royalty, she was shocked that she arrived to a van and worn down house. Many of the cast members felt that he overreacted to her playfully hitting him in the car. Some of the cast, like many of the viewer’s feel he was always putting her in a position to be tested or her motives to be questioned. Patrick even accuses of Bilal of using sales tactics to manipulate people.

Bilal’s ex-wife joins the cast to set the record straight on several topics. She admits she wanted a divorce because she felt like he acted like more of a father than a partner.  Although Shaeeda admits she sees some of the same patterns in her current relationship, there is still some obvious tension. When she is questioned on why she won’t even look at Bilal’s ex, she explains she has felt hurt and disrespected by her.

Yvette, 48 (Albuquerque, New Mexico) and Mohamed, 25 (Egypt)

Yvette claims that since she and Mohamed have been married he has loosened up a bit on his traditional expectations of her. He no longer judges her on her clothing choices. He credits his new mindset to understanding American culture more. But as they continue to talk, the cracks begin to show very quickly. It’s clear they still have a long way to go on working on their relationship.  Mohammed admits that his family still gets upset about some of the pictures she posts on social media.  It looks like things heat up on Part 2, when a special guest arrives to give more insight.

Ariela, 30, (Princeton, New Jersey) and Biniyam, 31 (Ethiopia)

Ariela and Biniyam are now married, but they still have some of the same issues. The only difference now is that he has a green card which will allow him more freedom. Many of the cast members call Ariela out on her jealousy. She readily admits that she has that issue, but wants her husband to communicate more. I was shocked at how Jibri was so aggressive towards Ariela and Biniyam. He not only argued with her at every chance, he told them their marriage wouldn’t last. Sigh! Sadly, Biniyam is so non-confrontational that he just sat there as another man verbally attacked them. Despite him not being one for words, I think Biniyam would make Jibri opening his mouth in a fight.

Big Brother 24 Episode 16 Recap: Aliens Invade The HOH Competition

The Leftovers alliance is in full control of the Big Brother 24 house. Last week under Head of Household and Power of Veto winner Michael Bruner, Daniel Durston was shown the backdoor, and he was the last evicted houseguest before jury sequestering began.

Tonight, the infamous endurance wall Head of Household competition will dictate which side of the Big Brother 24 house is in control this week. Can the Leftovers remain in control, or will the other side of the house put a wrench in their plans? Let’s find out.

Week Six Head of Household Competition

The endurance wall competition is back for Big Brother 24. The houseguests will hang on for dear life while the wall challenges them at every turn. As if that was not enough, some type of grotesque liquid will make that job even more difficult. The winner takes all, and the last houseguest standing will win HOH for the week.

Jasmine Davis was the first to fall off the wall. She didn’t last very long, but she is still recovering from her ankle injury. Brittany Hoopes was the next to lose to the wall. Terrance Higgins was the next to go down after 17 minutes in, and he was followed by Monte Davis and Alyssa Snider.

After nearly 40 minutes, Indy Santos finally dropped. She was the last non-member of the Leftovers alliance. They are now set for the week regardless of who wins the competition. Matt Turner dropped on purpose to save the pain in his arms from progressing any further.

Joseph let go so he didn’t have to deal with the Five Swatters alliance. Taylor and Kyle are both in it to win it. Kyle wants to make sure his showmance Alyssa is safe for the week, and Taylor just wants to win.

The final 3 on the wall are Jospeh Abdin, Kyle Capener, and Taylor Hale.

Kyle lost his grip after 46 minutes which meant that Taylor won the HOH competition in the Big Brother 24 house. After sitting on the block facing eviction for 3 weeks this season, Taylor finally has control of the game this week.

New Alliance In The Big Brother 24 House

Houseguests from the other side of the Big Brother 24 house decided to form their own alliance opposite of the Leftovers. Jasmine suggested a variation on the Fly Swatters for the new alliance’s name, and they landed on calling the new group the Five Swatters. This group includes Jasmine, Alyssa, Indy, and Joseph Abdin and Kyle Capener from the Leftovers.

Joseph swears his allegiance to the Leftovers and plans to tell his group all about this new alliance.

Week 6 Block Nomination Plans

Taylor has made it very clear that she will not nominate or target another African American woman during her tenure as HOH. That means Jasmine should not see the block this week.

Taylor is a member of the Leftovers so that limits her to just Alyssa, Indy, Terrance as targets this week considering she won’t nominate Jasmine. In addition, she had previously promised Indy and Alyssa safety should she win HOH. Therefore, Terrance is her target, but it is just not that easy.

In order to appease the others in the Big Brother house, Taylor wants to tell the other side that she plans to backdoor Monte. In that case, she thinks that she should nominate Matt Turner and Terrance to the block. Her alliance reminded her that is Terrance won the POV, she would be in a pickle.

She still wants to target Terrance for eviction this week, she just doesn’t know how to get from point A to point B.
