Big Brother 24 Episode 16 Recap: Aliens Invade The HOH Competition

The Leftovers alliance is in full control of the Big Brother 24 house. Last week under Head of Household and Power of Veto winner Michael Bruner, Daniel Durston was shown the backdoor, and he was the last evicted houseguest before jury sequestering began.

Tonight, the infamous endurance wall Head of Household competition will dictate which side of the Big Brother 24 house is in control this week. Can the Leftovers remain in control, or will the other side of the house put a wrench in their plans? Let’s find out.

Week Six Head of Household Competition

The endurance wall competition is back for Big Brother 24. The houseguests will hang on for dear life while the wall challenges them at every turn. As if that was not enough, some type of grotesque liquid will make that job even more difficult. The winner takes all, and the last houseguest standing will win HOH for the week.

Jasmine Davis was the first to fall off the wall. She didn’t last very long, but she is still recovering from her ankle injury. Brittany Hoopes was the next to lose to the wall. Terrance Higgins was the next to go down after 17 minutes in, and he was followed by Monte Davis and Alyssa Snider.

After nearly 40 minutes, Indy Santos finally dropped. She was the last non-member of the Leftovers alliance. They are now set for the week regardless of who wins the competition. Matt Turner dropped on purpose to save the pain in his arms from progressing any further.

Joseph let go so he didn’t have to deal with the Five Swatters alliance. Taylor and Kyle are both in it to win it. Kyle wants to make sure his showmance Alyssa is safe for the week, and Taylor just wants to win.

The final 3 on the wall are Jospeh Abdin, Kyle Capener, and Taylor Hale.

Kyle lost his grip after 46 minutes which meant that Taylor won the HOH competition in the Big Brother 24 house. After sitting on the block facing eviction for 3 weeks this season, Taylor finally has control of the game this week.

New Alliance In The Big Brother 24 House

Houseguests from the other side of the Big Brother 24 house decided to form their own alliance opposite of the Leftovers. Jasmine suggested a variation on the Fly Swatters for the new alliance’s name, and they landed on calling the new group the Five Swatters. This group includes Jasmine, Alyssa, Indy, and Joseph Abdin and Kyle Capener from the Leftovers.

Joseph swears his allegiance to the Leftovers and plans to tell his group all about this new alliance.

Week 6 Block Nomination Plans

Taylor has made it very clear that she will not nominate or target another African American woman during her tenure as HOH. That means Jasmine should not see the block this week.

Taylor is a member of the Leftovers so that limits her to just Alyssa, Indy, Terrance as targets this week considering she won’t nominate Jasmine. In addition, she had previously promised Indy and Alyssa safety should she win HOH. Therefore, Terrance is her target, but it is just not that easy.

In order to appease the others in the Big Brother house, Taylor wants to tell the other side that she plans to backdoor Monte. In that case, she thinks that she should nominate Matt Turner and Terrance to the block. Her alliance reminded her that is Terrance won the POV, she would be in a pickle.

She still wants to target Terrance for eviction this week, she just doesn’t know how to get from point A to point B.

Big Brother 24 Live Feeds: Alyssa Becomes The Target

What a difference a day makes in the Big Brother 24 house. The week started with Head of Household Taylor Hale wanting Indy Santos or Terrance Higgins out the game. Now it may end with both of Taylor’s former Festie Bestie’s on the block.

As you may recall, on Friday, Joseph Abdin proposed a plan where Taylor nominated him to throw the other side off their alliance scent and create some drama. The plan was not the smartest because Leftovers members were already considering using this nomination to take out Joseph. This week’s Big Brother 24 Power of Veto Competition shook up things in more way than one.

This week’s Power of Veto Competition involved houseguests getting prizes and punishments. After each round, one Power of Veto player was eliminated and must pick a box that either contained a prize or punishment. The prizes and punishments were as followed:

• Kyle Capener  won the Power of Veto.
• Jasmine Davis won a trip to London.
• Indy won a punk rock unitard and has to do a concert when called upon.
• Terrance won 182 (temporary) tattoos.
• Alyssa Snider won $5,000.
• Taylor won 48-hours chained to a houseguest.

Originally, Taylor had the London trip prize, but Alyssa chose to swap her 48-hour punishment with Taylor to take the trip. Eventually, Jasmine switched with Alyssa for the trip. Alyssa’s decision may be a game destroying move.

After the Veto Competition, Joseph wasn’t feeling as confident about his suggestion that he go on the block. During an HOH room conversation, a comment Alyssa made after Taylor won HOH and became emotional was revealed to Taylor. Alyssa allegedly said “that’s enough” while Taylor hugged and celebrated her win with Kyle, and Alyssa didn’t seem enthusiastic about Taylor being the HO.

The Leftovers members, specifically Brittany Hoopes and Monte Taylor, used this opportunity to really feed into the anger and hurt Taylor felt about Alyssa’s comment and actions in the Veto Competition. This led to Taylor completely abandoning the idea of putting up Joseph and now considering taking out Alyssa.

The only hesitation with this plan is that Kyle won’t be on board with using the Veto to help take out his showmance. The Leftovers came up with scenarios on how Kyle can use it snd pretend to be oblivious when Taylor nominates Alyssa, but Kyle isn’t as comfortable with taking out Alyssa as he once claimed.

On Sunday,The Leftovers plan to have a meeting to convince Kyle to use the Veto so that they can remove Alyssa from the game. This will be a big moment for Kyle because it will force him to make a decision: save his showmance and cut ties with his alliance or drop his showmances and commit to the Leftovers for a few more weeks?

As of now, either on Monday Alyssa goes on the block as the intended target or nominations stay the same and Indy remains the target.

Big Brother 24 Power of Veto Week 6 Competition Results (08/13/22)

With seven Leftovers still in the game, and four non-Leftovers still in the game, this could have been an easy Big Brother 24 week for the Leftovers. Once again, they are in power. Taylor Hale is the current Head of Household. Things should have been easy for the Leftovers. They just need to take out one of the remaining non-Leftovers members. They have four options to keep their side safe. The week already starts off a bit shaky with Taylor making too many promises, then telling many people not in the Leftovers that Monte Taylor is her target.

She also tells her two nominees, Terrance Higgins and Indy Santos, that they are pawns. Taylor also mentions maybe nominating some of the Leftovers members. Taylor may even be hurting her position as Head of Household more than she did as just being a non-power-yielding player. Unbeknownst to her, she may hurt it even more after the Power of Veto Ceremony–depending on what she does during it.

Forever trying to play the double agent role, Joseph Abdin offered to go up on the Block this week, if nominations change, to further his plan to seem like he’s not with the Leftovers. This would hide the fact that he’s aligned with Taylor and the other Leftovers, and keep him from voting out Indy–who he could lose as a jury vote if he does this.

Joseph is also confident that he could get Jasmine Davis and the other side of the house to keep him over Indy or Terrance. This could be a terrible plan for Joseph and Taylor. Brittany Hoopes and Michael Bruner have already discussed possibly taking out Joseph this week if he’s on the block.

Their only real hesitation is betraying Taylor and hurting her game. Without Joseph, Taylor becomes a lot more vulnerable to eviction as well. It’s unlikely that Monte would be on-board to get out Joseph this soon, but it’s unclear how Matt Turner, Kyle Capener, and Alyssa Snider‘s votes could fall this week.

Michael and Brittany also want to try to get Taylor to reconsider nominating Jasmine. Taylor doesn’t want to be the one to take out Jasmine because it’s her birthday week, and as a fellow Black woman. However, if the Veto is used, they may try harder to sway Taylor into evicting Jasmine this week.

The Veto players are Kyle, Alyssa, Jasmine, Indy, Terrance, and Taylor. Almost all of the Veto players would use the Veto to save one of the nominees. If this happens, we’ll see if the plan to nominate Joseph sticks.

Sutton Stracke Calls Out Kyle Richards For Her “Aggressive” Behavior During Sutton’s Argument With Diana Jenkins

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills “OG” Kyle Richards has inserted herself in the middle of the drama this season. After Dorit Kemsley’s horrific home invasion, Kyle slammed RHOBH co-star Sutton Stracke for her reaction. While chronicling the events of her day, Sutton stated, “I mean, I wasn’t held at gunpoint. I’m sorry.” Is that appropriate? No. And Sutton apologized.

Garcelle Beauvais was concerned about Erika Jayne’s alcohol-infused behavior this season, and Kyle stood up for Erika. At Garcelle’s birthday party, a drunken Erika propositioned Garcelle’s eldest son, Oliver Saunders, and swore at her 14-year-old son, Jax.

Later on, Kyle and her husband, Mauricio Umanksy, Dorit, and her husband, PK Kemsley, hung out and laughed about Erika’s behavior. “I think it’s great that she did that,” Mauricio said of Erika swearing at Jax. Kyle agreed.

Queens of Bravo shared Kyle’s Twitter response after experiencing some backlash for those remarks. “I was laughing about a friend’s drunken, ridiculous behavior. NOT about disrespecting someone’s child,” Kyle wrote.

When Sutton tried to talk to newbie Diana Jenkins about her miscarriage at Garcelle’s party, everything went left. Sutton shared that she understood because she had suffered two miscarriages.

Kyle dove into the conversation and implied that Sutton was lying. Kyle never misses an opportunity to throw Sutton under the bus. “You’ve lost two babies? I’ve never heard this before,” Kyle stated.

Sutton replied that her miscarriages are a “very personal thing.” Kyle stated, “I love you, but this feels like bulls–t.”

Sutton was shocked. She told Kyle that was the “meanest thing” Kyle had “ever said” to her. Meanwhile, Kyle was shoving Sutton. There was no need for Kyle to be grabbing at her.

Kyle hit up her Instagram Stories to try and explain her obnoxious behavior. “I immediately called Sutton and apologized to her. I consider Sutton a close friend and care about her a lot,” Kyle wrote. “Sutton accepted my apology and we moved on.” Kyle added that “maybe Sutton was sharing her story with Diana to connect with her in some way.” Duh.

Reality Blurb! reported that Sutton discussed Kyle’s miscarriage comments during an interview with US Weekly. “I regret that Kyle came into the conversation. I don’t think she was in a place that night to have a deep conversation that I was trying to have with Diana… and that part was hard to watch back,” Sutton explained. “But I just wanted to work things out.”

So, how does Sutton feel about the blowback that Kyle experienced? She is fine with it. “And I think that Kyle has, I think she feels really badly about her behavior, and she’s apologized to me. We’re good friends, and we’ve moved on,” Sutton stated.

“So, it’s so interesting how the audience gets so involved… I think the biggest takeaway is we should never touch each other like that in such an aggressive way,” the boutique owner remarked. “Because it doesn’t help. That didn’t solve any problems,” Sutton added.

Joe Gorga And Melissa Gorga Break Their Silence On Skipping Teresa Giudice’s Wedding

Teresa Giudice really is the queen of Real Housewives of New Jersey. Exhibit A: Her royal wedding to Luis Ruelas. It’s all the Bravoverse has been talking about for days. Her sky-high hairdo complete with a gaudy crown epitomizes it all so perfectly. The event of the year came with enough drama to last us a season of RHONJ, a wedding spinoff, and a whole lot of the social media discourse in between.

Unfortunately, Melissa Gorga and Joe Gorga succeeded in making Tre’s wedding all about them. OK, we don’t know the whole situation — the two skipped out on the ceremony at the last minute. There have been rumblings of cheating rumors and Christening-level fights, but nothing has been confirmed. Like, Real Housewives of Dubai star Chanel Ayan got invited to Tre’s wedding, and she barely even knows her. Yet, Tre’s only living blood family aside from her kids skipped out on her big day. For what? Well, now the Gorgas have made a big display out of breaking their silence.

In an attempt to profit even more out of their personal drama with Teresa, the Gorgas went on MelGo’s On Display podcast to address the”elephant in the room,” according to E! Online. MelGo, as usual, gave us nothing. The bulk of the drama went down while the RHONJ ladies were filming the finale, so she couldn’t say a peep about her reasons for not going to the wedding. She mildly addressed all of the rumors as to what the feud was about. “The stories that are out there are obviously not coming from my camp. So, pay attention,” she said. OK, who is in “Camp MelGo”? Joey G anddddd? Her long-lost sister? This just makes her sound guilty of feeding into the online chatter so that people keep talking about her. If you’ve been paying attention to the Teresa Giudice show, it’s pretty easy to read MelGo like a book.

They didn’t confirm whether or not Tre sent them a bill for skipping out on the lavish party at the last minute, but that’s the last of their issues. Joe Gorga spent the entire time being emotional about his family betrayals. It was a pretty typical spiel coming from him. “I’m just shocked at the way I’m treated by my own family, my blood,” he said. “That’s what kills me. Every day, you have to live a life like that.” Honestly, I feel bad for the kids caught in the middle of this situation and that’s it. The Gorgas and Giudices will never see eye-to-eye, they just need to figure it out so that the kids don’t suffer.

Joe then went on to say some nonsense about how much strangers love the Gorgas, but his own sister can’t.”I can meet a stranger and they can know right away, they’re like, ‘Yo, this guy’s great, I love him, he’s awesome, he’s real,’” Tarzan continued. “And then it’s shocking when I go and see our family. Why am I getting treated that way?” Alright, Joe, well your sister met the queen of RHODubai AKA a stranger and that stranger had the decency to support her love bubble with Luis. Side note: I need Dina Manzo to chime in on all of this. She was considered Tre’s “chosen family” at one point, but something ahead of this wedding seemingly was big enough to break that apart.

At least Tre has the unwavering support of Juicy Joe Giudice. He wasn’t the best husband, but he’s a pretty good ex-husband who is familiar with the Gorgas schtick. They were the ones that hijacked Tre on her own show in the first place. However, the drama surrounding Tre’s wedding was as complex as her hair, and we’ll have to wait for RHONJ to come back to untangle it all.

Who Went Home On Big Brother 24 Tonight? (8/11/22)

This week has been pretty calm in the Big Brother 24 house with Michael Bruner as the Head of Household. He is a member of the Leftovers alliance, and they have stuck to their original plan. At the beginning of the week, Terrance Higgins, Joseph Abdin, and Monte Davis were nominated to the block.

After Michael won the Power of Veto again this week, he decided to follow through with the plan to evict Daniel Durston. He used the POV to bring down the three previously mentioned houseguests and replaced them with Daniel and his Festie Bestie Kyle Capener. Will Daniel follow his BFF out the door tonight? Let’s find out.

Week 5 Power of Veto Ceremony Aftermath

Michael decided that although Monte was a threat in the Big Brother 24 house, he wanted to wait and send Daniel home this week. Michael isn’t quite ready to shake up the game and disband his Leftovers alliance at this point in the game.

The other side of the Big Brother 24 house is suspicious that Michael pulled Monte off the block because he is such a significant threat in the game. The only reason to pull him off the block would be because they work together in the same alliance. BINGO!

A Showmance Hits Some Road Bumps

Daniel is sitting on the block next to Kyle, so it would help his chances of staying in the game if he could get houseguests to vote out Kyle instead of him. Daniel knows that when they held the POV power last week when Alyssa Snider (Kyle’s showmance partner) was on the block, he had no intentions of using the power to save Alyssa.

This raised red flags for Daniel, who finally decided to share those thoughts with Alyssa. Sheat Kyul was quite surprised that Kyle did not want to save her. She was also shocked that he was probably working with the other side of the Big Brother 24 house.

Joseph Plays Double Agent

The other side of the house approached Joseph about the alliance in place. They have no idea that he is part of that house majority alliance. Joseph decided to keep it that way and see what information he could obtain from the “others.”

After a few conversations, the other side of the house has no idea Joseph is in an alliance. They feel as though they have his vote. He wants to keep it this way in case one of them wins HOH so he will be safe and not in danger of being nominated to the block.

Week Five Live Eviction Vote

The time has arrived for the live vote and eviction for the week. Daniel gave an interesting last-minute appeal for votes by calling out Michael and Monte working together. He called the houseguests a bunch of clowns and bozos, and if they vote him out, the season will just be boring going forward. Michael will win the season. Kyle was much more reserved in his speech and just asked to stay in the Big Brother 24 house.

The votes were as follows:

Matt Turner voted to evict Daniel
Alyssa voted to evict Daniel
Taylor Hale voted to evict Daniel
Indy Santos voted to evict Daniel

Terrance voted to evict Kyle

With a vote of 8 to 1, Daniel was evicted from the Big Brother 24 house. He said goodbye to Terrance but did not say goodbye or hug any of the other houseguests. During his interview with host Julie Chen, Daniel strongly feels Michael will win this season. He thinks he is one of the best players to play in a while.

Julie announced the remaining houseguests. She informed them that the Festie Bestie twist was officially over. She also told them that all houseguests would be on the jury or the final two.

Week Six Head of Household Competition

The infamous endurance wall has finally made its way into the Big Brother 24 house.  This competition is called Conspiracy Fest. The goal is to hold onto the wall and be the last person standing. That houseguest will be the next HOH and have the power to nominate two houseguests to the block for eviction.

Julie announced that next Thursday, there will be a special 2-hour event where the Big Brother 24 house will split in two for the first time ever. Yes, that means there will be two games of Big Brother being played simultaneously, and the two groups of houseguests will have no interaction with each other. This will play out all week long, where a double eviction will cap things off. This is certainly a Big Brother first.

Ben Higgins Says Wife Jessica Clarke Hasn’t Seen His Season Of The Bachelor

Former Bachelor Ben Higgins has revealed that his wife Jessica Clarke never watched The Bachelor at all before they began dating. And she’s never seen his season either.

“I bet Jess has asked me about the show less than five times in our four years together,” Ben recently told Us Magazine, while sharing his wife’s thoughts on the franchise. “Like, [she’s] never watched [it].”

His mother-in-law, however, was a fan of The Bachelor, and the esthetician actually caught a glimpse of her future husband when his season aired in 2016. “She watched one episode [of] my season when she was in college, and her mom claims that Jessica walked in the room and [said], ‘I could date that guy,'” Ben said. “Her mom said that was shocking, because Jessica never spoke like that. Like, [she] never spoke openly about who she was into or what she’s into.”

The comment made such an impact on Jessica’s mom that when Ben slid into her DMs years later, she encouraged her daughter to respond. “Her mom was like, ‘Whoa, that’s . . . a weird [full] circle moment,'” the TV personality continued. “[She said], ‘You should message him back. See what happens.’ And then we’re married.”

Just over one year after the Season 11 The Bachelorette contestant reached out to Jessica via Instagram, it was confirmed in March 2020 that the pair were engaged, dashing the dreams of every fan of the show who adored sweet Ben. “Every Thanksgiving from now on, I’ll remember the first message you sent me!” Jessica wrote via Instagram in November of that year, while recalling their online introduction. “Waking up 2 years ago and seeing a DM from a random stranger, I never imagined I’d be marrying him.”

“Thank you for supporting me in following my dreams, loving me on my most tired days, making me a better person, and always making me feel like I am good enough just as I am,” Jessica continued. “[L]ast year when we were traveling all of the time, I remember being so worried that one day life would slow down and we wouldn’t know what to do with one another, but this year [during the Covid pandemic] I’ve learned that those slow days are my favorite.”

Ben and Jessica tied the knot in Nashville in November 2021, with many members of The Bachelor franchise in attendance. Despite their friendship with many other Bachelor Nation couples, Ben has continued to insist that his wife has no plans to watch his season — or any season — of The Bachelor.

“It’s not hard for me to watch back because I know what to expect. But Jess will not be watching it, she doesn’t have a desire to watch it,” the Alone in Plain Sight author said in June 2020. “She is my partner, and I want her to know that, I don’t want her to feel any sort of heartbreak or sadness from that. So . . . she will not be watching it. I think she’s decided . . . And if she wanted to, I’d let her. I mean, I don’t really want to tell her what to do.” I should hope not, Ben.

Despite having told two women (Lauren Bushnell and JoJo Fletcher) that he loved them on his Season 20 of The Bachelor, Ben broke JoJo’s heart and proposed to Lauren on the March 2016 finale of the show, but the couple broke up just over one year later.

Even though it didn’t work out with Lauren, the Bachelor: Winter Games alum doesn’t regret his time as the Bachelor, as the experience eventually led him to his wife. “It was all on my way to Jess,” he said. “And I’ll [always] see it that way. I believe it’s that way. I believe everything led me to this point in my life.”

Dr. Lenny Hochstein Jokes About “Stress” Of Having A Wife And A Girlfriend

Season 4 of The Real Housewives of Miami was one for the record books. Authentic drama, genuine friendships, and a whole bunch of talk about OnlyFans definitely kept me engaged. Seeing some amazing Housewives like Larsa Pippen, Alexia Echevarria, and Adriana De Moura back on our screens after a very long hiatus was just what I needed. And I know the fans agree with me on that one. The pace of the show, the episodes, and the perfect integration of all the “friend-ofs” made for a great season. And I’m eagerly waiting for the newest.

Something else I’m waiting on the edge of my seat for is to finally see all of the behind-the-scenes drama between Lisa and Dr. Lenny Hochstein play out at last. After months of Lisa going back and forth sharing details bit by bit about their messy divorce online, our chance to get up close and personal is slowly approaching. But at this point, the way Lisa is putting everything out on the table, and the way Lenny is moving publicly, it doesn’t seem like they’re hiding much anyway.

Since the initial divorce announcement, Lenny has not been shy about showing off his new girlfriend. In fact, Page Six reported about Dr. Hochstein’s recent Instagram post where he seemed to poke fun at the idea of having both a wife and a girlfriend.

Under this specific picture of Lenny, his mother pointed out in the comments that she could hardly recognize him because it looked like he had “lost 20 lb”… she continued with, “Are you on a starvation diet?” To which the plastic surgeon responded, “having a wife and a girlfriend can be stressful.”

Yeah, I’m sure it is, doctor. In fact, I think most people would agree that cheating on the mother of your child and your wife would not only be stressful but just flat out wrong. Lenny’s mother responds again with, “very interesting I would not suggest that recipe for anyone but you look somehow younger now,” which prompted one last response from her son stating, “just a joke mom.”

There was a joke involved? I must have missed it.

Listen, I can understand and even appreciate two adults deciding to end a relationship because it’s not working. That is common and honestly to be expected at this point when it comes to Housewives’ relationships, but the lack of tact, concern, or care for someone that you were married to and share a child with is a bit concerning. I do however hope Lisa is doing okay during this time.
