Big Brother 24 Week 5 Head of Household (HOH) (08/4/22)

The Big Brother 24 house is sort of divided, but, at the moment, it’s basically The Leftovers vs anyone not in the Leftovers. However, some of the more dominant members of that alliance have their hands in many different cookie jars outside of their group. Kyle Capener has his showmance partner Alyssa Snider, who will remain loyal to him. He’s also Festie Bestie with Daniel Durston, which gives Daniel a false sense of security with him. Then we have Monte Taylor and Joseph Abdin who have been working on building trust with Terrance Higgins, Jasmine Davis, and Indy Santos.

Michael Bruner and Brittany Hoopes have also been working on developing relationships outside of the alliance, but they haven’t developed as strong of bonds as some of the other Leftovers. Ideally, The Leftovers need to win this Head of Household to ensure that all seven make it to the jury part of the game. However, Monte, Kyle, and Joseph have been working on their other relationships well enough so that they may be able to get the other side to target each other.

Also, as long as Michael and Brittany remain off the block, The Leftovers should have the votes to keep a Leftovers member over all the remaining houseguests, if the Festie Bestie twist continued. Daniel just lost his ride-or-die Nicole Layog, so he really wants and needs this Head of Household win.

Michael has already talked about maybe swaying from the goal of getting out Alyssa this week. He’ll likely nominate Kyle and Daniel as initial nominees, with Jasmine and Turner going up as replacement nominee options (or the reverse order of this).

Who Went Home On Big Brother 24 Tonight? (8/4/22)

The Leftovers alliance had planned before the week started to target, backdoor, and evict Nicole Layog from The Big Brother 24 house. Monte Taylor won the Head of Household competition which helped set the plan in motion. Kyle Capener and Daniel Durston won the Power of Veto competition, and Daniel made a fatal Big Brother mistake.

Daniel was confident he had enough votes to keep his ride-or-die, Nicole, from being evicted. His ego took control and pushed Monte to replace Indy Santos and Alyssa Snider with Nicole and her Festie Bestie, Taylor Hale. Daniel wasn’t privy to the fact that the Leftovers had house majority votes. Will Daniel be “that” guy that helped evict his BFF, or will Taylor finally fall victim to eviction? Let’s find out now.

Week Four Power Of Veto Ceremony Aftermath

Taylor was devastated when she was put on the block for the third time in just four weeks.  The Leftovers had planned to keep Indy and Alyssa on the block to help insulate Michael Bruner and Brittany Hoopes. They were the only members of the alliance that didn’t have a Festie Bestie partner that wasn’t a member of the Leftovers.

If they kept the block the same and Alyssa was evicted, then Indy could join Michael and Brittany’s duo. Therefore, if they were ever placed on the block for eviction, Indy could be voted out of the Big Brother house and not one of them.

When that didn’t go as planned, and Taylor was blindsided, and on the block again, she did not handle it well…as expected. Taylor just hopes that her alliance will remain true to their word and keep her in the Big Brother 24 house.

The Leftovers do have the votes to save Taylor this week which are Joseph Abdin, Matt Turner, Kyle, Brittany, and Michael. That is 5 votes which would create a tie, and the HOH always breaks a tie vote. Another Leftover, AKA Monte, would vote to evict Nicole and save Taylor this week.

Nicole got Jasmine Davis, Indy, and Alyssa alone and told them a BIG secret! She revealed that she was a cop for 10 years before becoming a chef. Most importantly, she was a detective for two years, knowing how to read people and play this game.

She always promised to have their backs and would never put any of them on the block. She kept telling them they had the numbers to save evict Taylor this week. She and daniel agreed this could not have happened any more perfectly. They both bragged about how much they loved the Big Brother game.

Big Brother Showmance’s Cloud The Game Brain

The sexual tension between Kyle and Alyssa is growing stronger by the minute. Kyle has resorted to taking such long cold showers that he is creating a line for people to shower. Kyle couldn’t wait any longer and kissed Alyssa with Daniel lying beside them.

Alyssa doesn’t know that she almost stayed on the block this week, but Daniel saved her by using the golden POV. She would probably not be as smitten with Kyle right now if he had gone with his alliance and kept her on the block this week. Things obviously fell right into place for our friend Kyle.

The Leftovers Try To Get An Unanimous Vote In Big Brother House

The Leftover alliance knows that they need to gather more votes for Taylor so that their alliance isn’t clearly visible to the remainder of the Big Brother house.

In private, Nicole told Monte that if she stays in the house and wins HOH next week, her targets will be Indy, Alyssa, and Jasmine. Thankfully, Monte doesn’t buy this info Nicole is trying to sell him because none of it is true. He does want to use the info by telling the girls in an attempt to get them to vote for Nicole this week rather than Taylor.

Monte told Jasmine that the Big Brother house was flipping. She went directly to Alyssa and Indy with the information. They do not want to vote again this week on the other side of the house. They don’t know who to vote for at this point.

Week Four Live Eviction Vote

Time for the live votes in the Big Brother house. The votes were as follows:

joseph voted to evict Nicole
Terrance Higgins voted to evict Nicole
Michael voted to evict Nicole
Indy voted to evict Nicole
Jasmine voted to evict Nicole
Daniel voted to evict Taylor
Turner voted to evict Nicole
Kyle voted to evict Nicole
Alyssa voted to evict Nicole
Brittany voted to evict Nicole

By a vote of 9-1, Nicole was evicted from the Big Brother house. During her exit interview with host Julie Chen Moonves, Nicole admitted they thought they had the numbers to keep her safe and finally evict Taylor. She started to get the sense during the last 24 hours and was in danger of going home.

Now that Taylor’s Festie Bestie was evicted, she must choose a new partner to play Big Brother with moving forward. She decided to play with Indy and Alyssa.

Monique Samuels Says She Declined Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Because Of Toxicity

With the likes of Jill Zarin, thirsty to return to any Real Housewives installment on Bravo, it’s curious to note that there are some ex-housewives that want nothing to do with the network. The alum pool is growing exponentially, and it’s hard to remember all the faces, even for the most diligent of fans, but unwilling participants do exist.

Some ex-housewives leave a legacy. And in the case of Monque Samuels, it’s not always a positive one. She caused outrage within the Real Housewives of Potomac cast when she physically assaulted Candiace Dillard Bassett. After four seasons on RHOP, Monique quit, but not before saying her peace on the Season 5 reunion.

So it’s not a surprise that Monique declined an invitation to participate in the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. According to Monique’s claims, Andy Cohen offered her a spot on one of the three seasons of RHUGT.

Page Six reported that Monique had “no desire” to return. “It just wasn’t what I wanted to do,” she explained.

Monique continued, “I didn’t feel like I could be the same Monique that people were accustomed to seeing anymore when it came to that particular franchise and that particular network, because there was so much toxicity there.”

Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip selects cast members from different franchises and sends them off on a vacation together. The mix of characters is a really entertaining way to get a Real Housewives fix. Presumably, the same formula and production tricks would be used in RHUGT as in the original shows.

So Monique had cause to be wary that she would be facing the same atmosphere as on RHOP. She felt, “expected to bicker and argue with a bunch of women.”

“I’ve never watched any of the ‘Girls Trip’ shows that they do,” she added. “All I knew was at that time when Andy asked me, I just had no desire to be back on that network.”

When asked which of the three RHUGT seasons she was asked to participate in, Monique replied that it “doesn’t even matter” when she “had no desire to go back to that network.”

And there is no chance of Monique changing her mind. She is without regret on the matter. “I just didn’t want to do it,” the mother of three concluded.

And why would she, with a successful reality TV show in her own right. And one which allowed Monique to be more authentic, without the need “to try to incorporate something new and fancy.” Love & Marriage: DC airs on OWN Network and stars the family of five, and is produced by a former Real Housewives employee, Carlos King.

“I’m grateful that he allowed us to just stay true to who we were,” Monique said.

So the issue is clearly with Bravo, rather than the medium in general. Though Monique recently claimed she “had reality TV PTSD” after exiting RHOP. She said in May, “my experience with reality TV has been somewhat of a roller coaster to the point where at the end of it all, I had reality TV PTSD. And I was pretty much done.”

Lenny Hochstein Says Lisa Hochstein Is Trying To Portray Him Poorly In The Press

The tumultuous divorce between Lisa Hochstein and Dr. Lenny Hochstein continues. And the press seems to be more and more involved. Now Lenny is throwing a hissy fit over Lisa’s most most recent court filing. And after accusing the Real Housewives of Miami star of loving attention, he’s now airing out their dirty laundry to you guessed it – the press!

Lenny whined in an email to Page Six, “Lisa uses these court filings to portray me poorly in the press. It’s worse than a press release because the fact that it’s filed gives it legitimacy.” He then added that he pays for “everything for the children separately.”

The guy who calls himself a “Boob God” went on to say that Lisa still lives in their multi-million dollar marital home. Which must really get under his skin since he filed a motion to kick her out. He has since decided that kicking out his wife and their two young children out of their marital home might not be the best look. Lenny insisted that they live “without a single expense.”

But he claimed that Lisa recently started “abusing” their joint credit card to “buy things for herself.” Lenny wrote, “Last month the bill was nearly 60K. This month she continued the abuse, including purchasing jewelry and clothing for herself, which placed the card over the limit just prior to my vacation.” Fun fact – Lenny is currently vacationing in Europe with his 26 year-old girlfriend. The one he announced as his new lady after being busted out with her by Lisa.

Lenny continued of Lisa messing up his expensive vacay, “She demanded that I pay the bill to give her more money to spend. I refused but did pay it down by $5K in case of emergencies. She promptly spent $3K to take out people for dinner, and when I refused to send her more money, she made a $20K payment from my checking account without my knowledge or consent.”

Lisa recently went to court to file documents accusing Lenny of trying to “financially strangle” her. She alleged that Lenny “retaliates by restricting [her] access to funds.”

The filing went on to address Lenny’s European getaway. Documents state, “While the husband is presently traveling on a no-expense-spared vacation with his presumed girlfriend to Europe, he has left the wife and children without cash, access to funds and less than $3,000 of available credit on the joint credit card.” I don’t know about you but I love a shady legal filing.

Prior to the filing, Lisa also accused Lenny of verbally confronting her with “demeaning comments.” He denied it and wrote, “As far as being berated, it is quite the opposite. It is Lisa who constantly attacks and berates me. I moved into another bedroom, and when that wasn’t enough, I had to rent an apartment. I am trying my best to avoid conflict. I just want to be divorced.”

I’m no legal expert but maybe playing games in the press might just inflame things. And therefore, hinder the divorce process? Just a thought. Regardless, Lenny just couldn’t resists a response, even while galavanting through Europe.

To quote the incomparable Garcelle Beauvais, “Erika Lenny, I don’t have to make you look bad. You can do that on your own.”

The Challenge USA Spoilers: Episode 5 Eliminations

Last week was not good for Big Brother fans on The Challenge USA. Big Brother 23 winner and Cookout alliance member Xavier Prather was sent home. Worse, Xavier was selected by his fellow Cookout members, Kyland Young and Alyssa Lopez, to compete in the arena. Xavier and his partner Shan Smith (Survivor), lost the competition and were eliminated from the competition.

This was pretty early in the game to start targeting your own show’s alumni. There is no question that Xavier won Big Brother 23 with a lot of blood on his hands. His pick to enter the arena last week proved enough that Alyssa and Kyland are still bitter toward the fellow Big Brother alumnus. Will another Big Brother alumnus go home this week? Let’s find out.

Week Five Main Challenge

This week’s main challenge is called Barreled Treasure, and here’s how it works. The pairs will jump off a barge into the water and swim 150 yards to a buoy. They must memorize the code on top of their buoy. Then, they must swim another 75 yards to a cargo ship to search for their code on 100 different barrels. Once they find their code, they will lift the lid on that barrel to find puzzle pieces. They must swim those puzzle pieces back to the barge and repeat the entire process again to collect the second set of puzzle pieces.

Once they return to the barge with both sets of puzzle pieces, they can begin to put their puzzle together. If the pair picks the wrong lid on the cargo ship, they must swim back to the barge to retrieve their code once again. The first couple to complete their puzzle will win.

Even after opening the wrong lid and having to make an extra trip between the ships, Tyson Apostol (Survivor) and Cashay Proudfoot (Love Island) won the challenge. This is Tyson’s third win in just 5 weeks of the competition. His performance is more than impressive so far.

The last couple to finish the challenge included another Big Brother alumnus. Azah Awasum of Big Brother and her partner Cinco Holland from Love Island came in last. They will be facing off against another pair in the arena. The loser will be eliminated.

After much discussion with other players and careful consideration, Tyson and Cashay decided to select Leo Temory (Amazing Race) and Sarah Lucina (Survivor) to face off in the arena. They will compete against Azah and Cinco.

Week 5 Arena Challenge

This week’s arena challenge is called A Dark Turn, and here’s how it works. The teams will be tied together. They will race across the field to enter a dark container. They will feel around to find a giant stack of film reels. There are 4 different sizes of reels. They must memorize the order of the stack of film reels and recreate it outside the container. The first team to finish will stay in the game.

After Leo came up with a brilliant way to shorten the time it took to memorize the order of the stacked film reels, he and his partner easily won the challenge. This means another Big Brother alumnus was eliminated from The Challenge USA.

Big Brother 24 Episode 11 Recap: A Trippy Veto Opens The Backdoor

Monte Taylor is the latest Head of Household in the Big Brother 24 house, which is excellent news for the newly formed Leftovers alliance. They should maintain control in the house this week and eliminate the houseguest of their choosing.

At the block nomination ceremony, Monte nominated Festie Besties Indy Santos and Alyssa Snider to the block this week. However, that is not his intended target. His ultimate plan is to evict Nicole Layog from the Big Brother 24 house. This evening, the Power of Veto competition will dictate whether or not that plan will come to fruition. Will Nicole be the backdoor target this week? Let’s find out now.

Week Four Block Nomination Aftermath

Monte and the Leftovers decided to target Indy and Alyssa this week because they are the only Festie Bestie remaining in the Big Brother 24 house that does not have a member of their alliance. He made it clear during his nomination speech that Neither Indy nor Alyssa was his target this week.

If the Leftovers plan to evict Nicole, Taylor Hale will have to return to the block again. She and Nicole are Festie Besties. Monte plans to tell the other side of the Big Brother 24 house that Taylor is the target, not Nicole.

Love Blossoms in the Big Brother 24 House

Kyle Capener and Alyssa have a brewing showmance in the works. Kyle swears he will not get wrapped up in a relationship while playing Big Brother, but he can’t see to control himself when it comes to Alyssa.

Week Four Power of Veto Competition

Monte, Joseph Abdin, and Terrance Higgins as HOH and Festie Besties are automatically on the POV lineup. As block nominees, Indy and Alyssa are too. Monte randomly picked one more set of Festie Besties to compete: Daniel Durston and Kyle.

This POV is called Trippy Watch Party, and here is how it works. Played in pairs as Festie Besties, one bestie will eat a spoonful of Psychadelic Pslop and go on a trip of a lifetime. During their trip, they will remember all the details they can. Once they return, they will have limited time to share this information with their bestie.

The bestie that received the information will have to answer 5 rounds of questions using only the information given to them by their “tripping” bestie. The pair with the most points will both win the golden POV.

After the questions about the trip had ended, Kyle and Daniel had the most points and won the POV competition. This is great news for the Leftovers because Kyle is a member, but their target for eviction, Nicole, is besties with Daniel. They will have to sell him hard on putting up Nicole and Taylor, but hopefully, it will help when he is told Taylor is the target.

Power of Veto Ceremony Plans

Kyle certainly wants to save Alyssa from the block, while Daniel wants to keep the nominations the same to keep Nicole off the block.

In thinking of the best way to protect their alliance, Monte thought of getting rid of Alyssa this week. Here’s why. Michael Bruner and Brittany Hoopes, members of the Leftovers, are the only two houseguests paired with another alliance member. That means that if they go on the block, one of them will definitely go home. They will lose a member of their alliance.

If they get rid of Alyssa and keep Indy this week, and she picked Michael and Brittany’s Festie Bestie to join, they would all have the protection in the game should one of the group end up on the block.

The alliance pitched this scenario to Kyle, and he did not take it very well. They tried to convince him that this was the best way to protect their alliance and all its members. He didn’t seem happy, but he wanted to help his alliance.

On the other side of the veto is Daniel. He also has the power to use the veto. Monte wants to convince him not to use the power of veto. They met in the HOH to discuss with Nicole.

Monte explained that he is less confident about where the votes lie to evict Taylor. Therefore, he would rather keep the nominations the same. Nicole is convinced she has the numbers to stay and wants Taylor gone this week. They want to use the veto and evict Taylor. They don’t know that the Leftovers have the controlling vote in the Big Brother 24 house.

Week Four Power of Veto Ceremony

Daniel spoke with his bestie Kyle and explained his conversation with Monte. Kyle loves the fact that Daniel wants to use the POV to save Alyssa and Indy because his showmance will be saved. Not to mention, Daniel will be helping the Leftovers backdoor his ride or die in the Big Brother house. Oh, Daniel!

As expected, Daniel and Kyle chose to use the golden POV and took Alyssa and Indy off the block. In return, Monte nominated Nicole and Taylor to the block in their place. The Leftovers plan to backdoor/blindside Nicole. She is confident that she is staying in the Big Brother house.

Yolanda Hadid Reveals Lyme Disease Relapse

Yolanda Hadid has been struggling with Lyme disease for many years. She was officially diagnosed with the severe, chronic neurological condition in 2012, when active infection was discovered in her brain.  After four years of treatments, Yolanda underwent a TVAM of Transvascular Autonomic Modulation which uses a catheder insertion into the jugular vein to relieve patients of debilitating symptoms, including fatigue and brain fog.

Some of this arduous journey was captured on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.  Yolanda fluctuated between periods of feeling well, and periods of flare up of her condition. This nature of this chronic disease was beyond the logic of some of her cast mates. Most shockingly was Lisa Rinna’s uneducated diagnosis of Munchausen syndrome, basically accusing Yolanda of faking her symptoms and gas-lighting her suffering.

Yolanda left the show to focus on her health, and has enjoyed periods of feeling well again. Sadly, after a nine-month social media hiatus, the mother of three returned to say that she had suffered a relapse.

Page Six reported that Yolanda took a break from Instagram following the death of her mother, Ans van den Herik, to “reevaluate” her life

“After the loss of my mother i really struggled with depression followed by a lyme relapse…. the emotional stress and grief strongly effected my immune system,” Yolanda wrote alongside a photo of the former model in a summer-friendly outfit of white shirt, denim shorts, and a straw hat.

Yolanda wanted to work on the presence of mind as a means of healing. She identified her time on social media as a hindrance to it.  She explained, “My phone addiction didn’t help either, it started to take so much time away from being present in my life … I realized that we are slowly starting to lose the art of communication and its creating a deep loneliness within us.”

Yolanda credits the hiatus as a chance to “break the habit of picking up [her] phone 50 times a day,” a change that she described as a “wonderful reset.”

And the benefits to her physical body have been tremendous. “Learning to focus on myself, my health journey and being present in this moment of my life,” Yolanda added. “Time has slowed down and feels a lot calmer, more time to just sit and actually read a book, time to reconnect with people, be creative and most importantly time with my family. I am excited to be back and see what you’ve all been up to.”

It’s great news that Yolanda is in a better place.  Earlier in her battle with the chronic illness, the RHOBH alum was so desperate as to contemplate suicide. She detailed her journey in a memoir titled, “Believe Me: My Battle with the Invisibility of Lyme Disease.”

Describing her turmoil at the time, Yolanda wrote, “I’m such a fighter, but I had to surrender. God please just take me away in a wave. I can’t live like this one more day. Please carry my body away. I just want to disappear.”

Yolanda credits her love of children Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, and Anwar Hadid as what gave her hope. She revealed, “My next thought is a clear image of my three children. It shifts my consciousness immediately and that’s the only thing that keeps me from letting myself drift and drown.”

Yolanda’s two younger children, Bella and Anwar, also have Lyme disease.

Sheree Zampino Thinks Kyle Richards Needs To Sit Down And Stop Acting Like A Moderator

It’s been on for twelve seasons, but the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has a reigning original cast member.  After the departure of Lisa Vanderpump, the true queen of the series, Kyle Richards is the last one standing.

Season 12 is well under way, and the mother of four seems determined to take on a mentorship role. Meaning Kyle is getting more involved in others’ drama than usual. And she’s policing any criticism of Erika Jayne, for some inexplicable reason.

And wow, is Garcelle Beauvais calling her out on it.  Despite Kyle having no response or feeling that she should take a step back, it’s delightful to watch. Kyle has little self-awareness. Us hardened RHOBH viewers expect this from Kyle, but newbie Sheree Zampino has some questions.

The RHOBH cast member shared her opinions on Behind the Velvet Rope With David Yontef during the August 1st episode. Entertainment Tonight reported that Sheree saw Kyle as interfering in Garcelle’s conflict with Erika. Especially when it came to Erika’s drunken tirade against Garcelle’s 14-year-old son Jax, an incident Sheree called, “completely inappropriate.”

“I like Kyle, but sometimes I think Kyle needs to sit down somewhere,” Sheree said. “She’s an OG, she’s been on every season, she’s very connected to the show…but she acts as the moderator.”

Then there was the incident between Diana Jenkins and Sutton Stracke.  Kyle came in, mid-conversation, to police what was being said.  One can’t take sides without seeing it from the beginning, but Kyle has been throwing Sutton under the bus for awhile now.

Sheree called Kyle out on it. “Why are you even here?” she said. “I didn’t understand. I don’t think they needed that. Sometimes you need somebody to come in and be a moderator—and I mean, she’s got the experience, she’s got the knowledge and the information—but it’s not always necessary. We don’t always need a moderator.”

As for any upcoming RHOBH drama, Sheree managed to side-step one major s–t storm because she was “sleeping soundly” at the time. Could it be the infamous Aspen trip fight that we are anticipating in the latter part of the season?

Sheree didn’t say, but explained, “Garcelle and I had the foresight to take our butts back to the house,” Sheree added. “So I don’t know…I don’t know how that’s gonna play out.”

Below Deck Alum Rachel Hargrove Slams Austen Kroll As A Narcissist

The word narcissist gets thrown around a lot these days.  It’s used often enough when an ex talks about a former partner. Or when describing someone we are in conflict with. But true narcissism is something really complex to diagnose.  We’re not capable here at Reality Tea to make that call, but we can certainly inform you when someone’s been labeled a narcissist by an adversary.

The latest occurance happened between Below Deck chef Rachel Hargrove and Southern Charm star Austen Kroll.  Page Six reported that the Season 9 chef recently tweeted her unfiltered opinion about the Trop Hop Beers founder, and Below Deck fans know how raw Rachel’s words can be.

“Cheers to the most narsasitic [sic] t–t on @BravoTV,” Rachel tweeted to caption an article about Austen.  To supplement her rant, Rachel shared text conversations she had with a representative of Bravo’s public relations team. These messages were quickly deleted, however she made her feelings very clear.

“I don’t sit down, I stand up… I’m tired of the BS… I refuse to participate in @BravoCon2022,” Rachel wrote. “Done with bullies on tv.”

This drama with Bravo comes on the heels of complaints about pay from several Below Deck cast members, including Rachel and Eddie Lucas. It seems her issues are not only with Austen, but with the network as well.

As for her grievances with Austen, Rachel points to a lack of civility on not one, but two occasions. “He was in Tampa and fort lauderdale where I live… we met up… but what was actually good was I met his brewing team,” the chef revealed to Bravo’s PR team.

“We were all haning [hanging] out. He didn’t like the fact that I don’t party and wasn’t doing his whole thing… being an idiot,” Rachel continued.

On another occasion, Austen’s co-star Shep Rose was allegedly involved. Rachel continued, “The guys [guy’s] an idiot… even when him and chep [“Southern Charm” star Shep Rose] through [sic] my bag on the floor at up fronts while waiting to go do dress rehearsal.”

Finally, a very Rachel statement in which she called Austen a “drunk cokehead.”

The response from fans was mixed.  Some called Rachel out for the extreme statements that seemingly came from nowhere and pointed out some parallels between Rachel’s reaction to Austen and that of his ex-girlfriend Madison LeCroy.

“Girl… I think Madison is in that same category,” one follower commented.

“I’ve never met her,” Rachel wrote in response. “But I did have the unfortunate experience of being around him.”

Neither Rachel nor Austen has responded to Page Six’s request for further comment.  It’s a waiting game to see if this feud continues.

Below Deck Mediterranean Recap: Docking On Eggshells

Now that the secret’s out about the relationship between Natasha Webb and Chef Dave White, this season of Below Deck Mediterranean is now stuck in a sort of awkward limbo. Because the audience has been clued into the drama surfacing in the forward cabin. Due to confessionals and scenes only we see behind closed doors. But the rest of the crew — including Captain Sandy Yawn — still has no idea what’s going on. However, thankfully this week’s episode isn’t all about the already toxic, secret boatmance. If anything, it takes a back seat this week to the actual, professional drama happening amongst the deck crew.

Love on the Rocks

So let’s just get all things Dave and Natasha out of the way first, shall we? These two simply can’t keep things on a steady keel, can they? One minute she’s all but completely ignoring him in the galley. The next she’s accusing him of being weird and making him even more paranoid in their room. The guilt over cheating on her off-screen ex with the chef is eating the chief stew up inside. So she’s desperate to control the narrative about their relationship and how it’s received by all their new co-workers. Except, sorry Natasha, the narrative is already out of your hands because you’re admitting everything in your confessionals…That’s how reality TV works, darling.

On the last night of the charter, Dave admits via confessional that on their previous boat, Natasha was the one saying she would leave her boyfriend for him. Now, it’s an entirely different story. And, again, it’s all on the chief stew’s terms. Dave can’t even say the words out loud that are stuck in his head. Because cameras are around. After knocking out an incredible-looking Moroccan dinner, the poor chef is left to spiral in their shared bunk. And of course, that’s when Natasha finally approaches him to talk. But only in paranoid whispers. She cares more about “getting caught” than what her demands are doing to Dave. Natasha doesn’t even comfort him when he admits he constantly feels like crying. But she’s more than happy to let him tuck her in.

A Storm’s A’Scudding

Meanwhile, there happens to be another flirtation simmering within the crew. One that I’ve actually failed to mention yet, as its been overshadowed by all the other storylines. But sparks are clearly flying between Natalya Scudder and Storm Smith. And they have been for a while now. That is, when the second stew’s not plotting to marry a rich old man and push him down the stairs after convincing him to sign over his yacht. She’s more prone to happily accepting cute, flirty visits from the mustachioed deckhand down in the laundry. He’s already cheekily referring to her as his “wife” on board. There may not be much to report yet, but keep an eye on this pair…

“…You Hit It”

Partway through the second charter, looming bad weather forces Captain Sandy to make an executive decision. The boat has to return to the dock. At least the guests got to go swim in the Crystal Lagoon first? Of course, this type of situation is never ideal for any charter. Because now the interior will be responsible for keeping the demanding, disappointed guests entertained while they’re, you know, two feet from shore. But first, M/Y Home has to reach the marina. And that doesn’t exactly go according to plan.

The first docking went rather smoothly. But the first red flag starts waving when Raygan Tyler decides to take a lunch break… While the rest of the deck crew is getting the boat ready to dock. Ragyan. Sweetie. The boat is literally en route to the marina. It’s not the time to eat! Proper jammy donuts are not the priority. Storm decides to take charge when no one can find the bosun. And honestly, thank goodness someone did. Because once Raygan’s in charge again, disaster strikes.

The bosun brags in her confessional that she’s great at docking. It comes so naturally to her! She’s a captain! Well, apparently one thing Raygan is decidedly not good at is calling distances. Because when she says one of the concrete dolphins is three meters away, it’s actually one meter. And when she says it’s one meter away, oh look! The boat’s going to hit the dolphin. Even Jason Gaskell can see that the bosun’s depth perception is way off. Captain Sandy‘s always made a big deal of the fact that she’s never hit anything in her career. And, well, now she can’t exactly say that. And it’s all Raygan’s fault.

On the Chopping Block?

Thankfully, there doesn’t appear to be any damage to the motoryacht. But that’s really beside the point, at least to Captain Sandy. Raygan has been struggling in her role as bosun since the very beginning. And running the boat into a dolphin may have just sealed her fate. But the captain has to wait at least until the charter’s over to do anything about it. To make matters worse, the rest of the docking Raygan claims to be so adept at doesn’t go much better. Lines end up in the water. The deck crew’s timing is all off. And Sandy has to put the pressure on for them to, you know, actually dock the freaking boat. An embarrassing showing to be sure. In Mzi Dempers‘ words, it’s “a bit of a s–tshow.”

By the time the guests are off the boat on a tender ride, Captain Sandy‘s already looking for a new bosun. But the yacht staffer only has bad news: no replacement bosuns are available. The only option is another deckhand. The next day, she calls Storm to the wheelhouse to compliment him on how he handled the docking despite others’ failures. The charter ends on a decent note. And the crew even gets a tip of $19,000. But after the celebratory toast, Sandy calls Raygan to the bridge. And the bosun’s chances of survival don’t seem great. But, of course, before we can find out her fate, the screen cuts to black and we get another “To Be Continued…”

One Last Thing…

I’m sorry. But was the primary — a 32-year-old real estate heiress — sleeping with that barely legal, Corona-obsessed frat boy? The one who bragged in his preference sheet about flying private helicopters everywhere? I genuinely need to know. I have so many questions.
