Even though Kyle Richards is a cast member in a reality TV franchise called Real Housewives, she is oddly in the minority since a lot of the stars in the franchise aren’t even wives. Kyle and Mauricio Umansky seem to have a very solid relationship and they’re not even annoying about it…. minus the constant plugs for The Agency that I could do without.
Kyle recently opened up about the very beginning of her relationship with her husband Mauricio, why she would never do Dancing With the Stars, and how she said no a million times to doing Celebrity Apprentice, but ended up caving to join the cast anyway.

Kyle had a lot to say during a recent interview on Heather McDonald’s Juicy Scoop podcast. She revealed that when she first met Mauricio he actually thought she was a part of a different famous family. Kyle recalled, “He thought that I was Demi Moore‘s sister because he had seen me at the gym and someone had said, ‘That’s Demi Moore’s sister.’ It was just one of those rumors and he believed it.” I totally see that. Well, maybe just the hair, but I get that.
Kyle is one of two original cast members who has stuck around on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills so obviously she knows what she’s doing when it comes to reality TV and I get why she would be asked to join other shows. Unlike some of her fellow Housewives, Kyle is so not down to join Dancing With the Stars.
Kyle said, “Honestly, no. I think it’s great when other people do it, but it’s not for me. I feel really overloaded right now,” and then she talked about that scripted show based on her family growing up…again.

Kyle continued, “The whole dancing thing, I really admire anyone who does it. First of all, I can dance great at a party or at a club after a few drinks, but doing it with someone and having to follow moves, I’m very ADD and I would be very stressed and overwhelmed thinking I would have to do this live and on camera with people watching. The hours and taking that away from your family, I could not do it.”
Heather asked Kyle is she saw the last episode where Erika Jayne danced to song with her partner dressed as a Los Angeles police officer. Sure, the dance was great, but the theme just was very odd since the dance was super sexual and Erika’s son is a police officer. Not only that, but she just had that “You don’t know what I go through every night” freak out about her son, so it just seemed like odd timing – which Heather pointed out.
Nevertheless, Kyle, wasn’t going to be baited to shade Erika. “I missed last night’s, but I had it recorded. I’m gonna watch.”

After Heather continued talking about the odd timing of the cop theme, Kyle just said, “I have not seen it and I did not hear any of that. I would imagine that she probably wasn’t think of that and that she was probably just thinking of it as a dance.” Kyle wasn’t falling for the bait. She is the only person who’s on good terms with everyone in her cast, so she wasn’t gonna mess that up by shading Erika in a podcast. Props to her.
Even though Kyle maintains that she would never do Dancing With the Stars, she did agree to do Celebrity Apprentice. She confessed, “I was terrified with Celebrity Apprentice. When they asked me to do it, I first said no – I don’t even know how many times. I met with the producers and they said, ‘We will let you sleep at home. You don’t even have to sleep at the hotel.'”
Kyle continued, “I was still scared of the hours and everything because I have to make my kids breakfast and their snacks. I don’t have someone doing that for me, so I was like, ‘How am I going to do this?’ I ended up doing it, but I don’t know.” It’s nice to know she is actually involved with her children’s daily lives – unlike some other women in the cast.

Jenelle and David obviously want all of their kids to be involved in the wedding somehow (between the both of them there are 5 kids total). Jenelle hopes Ensley, who will barely be one at the time, and David’s daughter Maryssa will be flower girls. Or bridesmaids. You know – just something. And Jace and Kaiser, they’ll be groomsman! She thinks! Decisions, decisions…

Including the biggest decision of all: drama over the guest list. “Only close friends and family,”declares Jenelle. Does that include her mother Barbara Evans? Jenelle keeps threatening no! “We have not decided if she will be invited or not,” she explains. “Our relationship is getting more damaged every day, but I have already told her this.”
Onto more positive matters, Jenelle is soon headed to NYC to try on wedding gowns. Because they don’t sell those there thingies in North Caroliiiiina, and she’s like a big-time celebriteeee and all. In preparation Jenelle is also working hard to lose the baby weight. “[I] plan to be as fit and healthy as I can!”
Jenelle pretends to be undecided about whether or not we’ll get to witness this travesty special moment on Teen Mom 2. She tells E! if she and David make it to the altar the show happens to be filming at the time of the wedding, they will let it be filmed.

As for her fellow Teen Moms being invited, Jenelle reveals, “I just want it to be the people I’m closest with, and I’m not too close of friends with any of them.” Not for lack of trying!

The Originals is facing a whole new kind of threat this season, and it's particularly bad news for Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), since it appears to be a blue light that steals children....Although I ended up crying for most of the Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney wedding episode of Vanderpump Rules, I never expected to feel that way. This season was full of drunken fighting and it was hard for me (and a lot of the other viewers) to get on board and feel invested in this couple.
A LOT of people hated on Katie throughout the season – she even had her Twitter account on private for a while – but after that finale, a lot more people from the fandom were down with the Schwartz marriage. Unfortunately for them, the reunion was taped way before that finale aired, so I bet that they had a ton of tough questions to answer from the viewers.

One thing that baffled me throughout the season was the wedding budget. From the wedding invitations that were printed on towels to the designer dress to the flowers, I was in shock that their wedding cost as much as it did. Yes, I know that they do make money from being reality stars and that Katie is more than a SUR waitress, but still. During Bravo’s Daily Dish podcast, Schwartz admitted he was “not aware of the price” in regard to Katie’s $15,000 wedding dress.
Katie admitted, “I just billed him later,” which plays into my personal theory that Schwartz is low key wealthy outside of the show and that’s why he asked for a prenup, but that would be a total digression from this post. Anyway, Schwartz declared, “It was priceless. You can’t put a price on that day, but still the budget got a little bloated there. It’s okay though.”
Even though Katie got a lot of shit for the wedding planning throughout the season, she was a way calmer bride than Scheana Marie Shay when it came to the wedding day itself. Katie was asked about this and she actually did not take the bait to shade Scheana. All she said was, “I know Scheana planed and planned for a long time, so it’s not like she wasn’t prepared. I know that I just wanted every detail to be taken care of so by the time that day came there was just nothing to worry about.” I figured that would be a perfect time to take a dig at Scheana who seems to be against Katie’s trio of friends these days on social media, but Katie did not fall for that at all.
Later in the podcast, Schwartz discussed Jax Taylor’s claims that his brothers all shared one cell phone. Schwartz admitted, “They’re not social media savvy. They don’t have Twitter or Instagram, but I relay the information.” He clarified, “They all have their own cell phones. They’re not dinosaurs.”
Schwartz added, “I was mad at him for that because they’re such great kids. I mean, they need a little tough love, but Jax was really hard on them. He did a great thing for them and I really appreciate it.” No matter what Jax says or does, it is hard for anyone in this cast to stay mad at him. I have no idea how he pulls this off, but it amazes me.
Even though Tom and Katie’s wedding was the finale episode, there is still more for the fans to enjoy this season. Yes, I’m talking about the reunion show. Katie explained, “Because I endured so much of it, by the time the reunion came around, I knew I could handle anything. It was the time to speak the final words and sort of put the period at the end of it and put it to bed.”
Katie admitted, “I got pretty much slaughtered for the last year. All summer was just tough. Social media this whole season has not be fun.” Schwartz added, “She got compared to Hitler a few times,” and Katie shared, “I have been told to kill myself.”
Back to the reunion, Katie explained, “It feels like a release. That time to just let it go. It wasn’t fun the entire time, but I really had to swallow my pride and truthfully own some of my actions. I can’t defend everything. It was my time to address all those things and I think I did.” Let’s hope so. If anyone could use a redemption story this year, it’s Katie Maloney. This season was far from a good look for her.
Schwartz told her, “You were good. You were self-aware and you were humble and a little self-deprecating … It was a harsh season, but I think you learned a lot.” Once again I have to say: let’s hope so. It would be great for next season to be one where the audience roots for Katie like we did at the beginning of the show.
