The other party was initially arrested following the incident. But that person is now claiming that Ian was actually the aggressor – and his hit him with a civil complaint.

The accusations stem from an incident from December 31, 2023. According to documents seen by People, Ian is facing allegations of battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, malicious prosecution, negligence and negligent infliction of emotional distress.

According to plaintiff Jacob Hernandez, he and his pal were riding motorbikes through a traffic jam in LA on NYE. They apparently stopped in front of Ian’s car, which led him to suddenly exit and begin yelling at them. The complaint claims that Ian then shoved Jacob, causing him and his bike to fall.

The doc says that “melee occurred between [Ian] and multiple individuals who came to the aid of [Jacob].” Part of the incident was apparently caught on video. It also claims that the 90210 actor used his celebrity status to change the narrative surrounding the altercation, making him the victim.

Jacob was initially arrested following the incident, which he claims was because Ian provided “misleading information” to officers. He was released on a $50,000 bail, and was eventually told the case wouldn’t be taken further.

Now, Jacob claims that Ian’s alleged misinformation caused him to suffer “significant mental health issues,” including severe anxiety, regular panic attacks and paranoia. He is pursuing both compensatory and punitive damages and has requested a jury trial.

The actor and Apprentice alum refers to himself as an entrepreneur these days, with his last acting credit dating back to 2023, per IMDB.

The challenger, rocking a calisthenics t-shirt, grinned, offered to take it off, and invited the streamer to go shirtless too. Despite his confidence, Speed ultimately lost. “You got me, you stronger,” he admitted to the camera.

Not ready to let it slide, Speed suggested a rematch, but this time as a foot race. “If we race, you lose. You know that, right?” he joked. The local agreed, confident he couldn’t outrun Speed. In the sprint that followed, Speed took back the bragging rights. Both laughed, complimenting each other. “Look at your shoulders! Good game,” the local said.

Angola is just the kickoff for Speed’s 20-country tour across Africa, backed by Expedia. He hasn’t revealed every stop yet, but teasers hint at Algeria, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. The tour will be full of athletic challenges, cultural adventures, and all kinds of erratic things Speed is known for.

Some fans found the 41-year-old’s gesture funny, but most did not. Instead, there was a wave of backlash for what fans considered a disrespect to the national anthem.

A video, which has since gone viral on TikTok, accumulated many such comments. “Disrespecting the flag in the country that made him a millionaire,” one fan wrote. Hawke brought up the memory first, asking her, “Do you remember Alfonso pitching you the love scene?” Paltrow laughed and admitted that the thought of her family watching it made the decision easy: “I was like, ‘Oh, my God, my father’s going to have a heart attack.’”

Hawke recalled how detailed Cuarón’s idea was, saying the director described the camera moving across her body and ending on her face “as you reach ecstasy.” He added that he looked at Paltrow during that pitch and she immediately responded, “Alfonso, I’m never going to do that.”

Paltrow explained that, back then, she didn’t want her father or grandfather seeing her in scenes like that, admitting, “It really bothered me.” She also added that it isn’t something that would affect her the same way today, as she stated, “Now, I wouldn’t care.”
