Erika Jayne: Bet It All on Blonde Recap: Erika Brings the Sparkle

Trigger warning: this article mentions suicide.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne is the latest Bravo star to snag a spinoff special. This show, titled Erika Jayne: Bet It All on Blonde, followed Erika and her team as they prepared for her Las Vegas residency. But Erika also struggled with personal issues at the same time. Let’s get into the Erika Jayne: Bet It All on Blonde recap!

Not a good sign

It is 24 hours before Bet It on Blonde opens, and the overwhelming feeling is dread. Mikey Minden, the creative director, and Erika’s longtime friend, was critical of her performance. “Everyone is waiting for you to come alive. I can only do so much,” Mikey said. “I don’t feel confident about any of it,” Erika responded.

After Mikey started to weep, he was comforted by Erika’s manager, Alexis Fisher. “This is everything that you’ve ever wanted. And we need to make the most of it because you’re not going to get this moment back again,” Alexis told Erika. Damn! That was harsh.

The countdown begins

We jump back to 30 days before Erika’s show. It was the first day of rehearsal. Does anyone else feel like maybe there should have been more prep time?

Erika felt elated because something good was happening in her life. In a confessional, she reflected on her marriage to her estranged husband, Tom Girardi. She recalled what a successful attorney he was.

“He was charismatic. He was a sweet man,” Erika said. She never could have pictured the situation that he is in now. “Disgraced, disbarred, and indicted. And in a home for Alzheimer’s dementia,” Erika said.

She once asked him why he wanted to be a plaintiff’s lawyer. “Because I didn’t like people getting f*cked over,” he replied. Oh, the irony! Tom and his business partner allegedly stole millions from their clients.

“None of this should have happened. I feel terrible about the clients and that they did not receive what they were entitled to receive.” She added, “I am not part of that law firm. I’m not indicted.” But at least Erika was finally showing some sympathy for the victims.

The first rehearsal

When she landed the show, Erika insisted that Mikey be the creative director. And Jamie Ruiz was the dance captain.

The show was divided into six segments: fantasy, love, escape, glitz, glamour, and fun. They were going back as far as 2007 with Erika’s song “Roller Coaster.”

This is the biggest show that Erika has ever done, and she wants everyone in the audience to enjoy themselves. But make no mistake. Erika’s career is riding on this residency.

Erika’s relationship dynamics

When Erika arrived at home, she greeted her dog, Tiago. He was having trouble walking and fell. Erika had to carry him. That moment brought me to tears. Tiago was the last thread between her old life and her new life.

When Erika moved in with Tom, she arrived with two trash bags of clothing. “My life became his life,” she explained. Why? Simply put, because she trusted Tom and admired him.

Erika’s childhood was rocky. Her mother, Renee Chahoy, was married to Erika’s father. But he left when Erika was nine months old. Then her mom remarried. But when Erika was in third or fourth grade, her mom drove her to her stepdad’s work to spy on him and his side piece. YIKES!

Well, that could explain why Erika, at 29 years old, married a man who was almost 60 years of age. Tom made her feel safe. Now Erika doesn’t “know if absolute trust is a possibility for me in life.”

A late-night knock on the door

There was a knock on Erika’s door while the cameras were still rolling. Out of frame, a woman stated that she was part of Tom’s legal team. She wanted to speak to Erika about her observations about Tom. Most likely because his competency hearing was coming up. Erika politely asked for her card and said that she needed to speak with her attorney about it.

Afterward, the songstress freaked out. She said that she had already given all the information that she had. She asked the producer if he knew that the woman was there. “Absolutely not,” he replied. Erika glanced at the card and realized that Tom had a public defender. She likened her situation to being in the mob. She tries to get out but gets yanked back in.

Money problems

The production could use another $100,000 to make the show extra fabulous. The promoter denied her request for the extra money

She was upset and angry but wasn’t going to delay the show’s opening. The first performance is scheduled for August 25, 2023. “If we stall, it’s over for me,” she told Mikey.

Erika’s dark days

The producer played some RHOBH clips from 2022 on his phone for Erika. Erika was spicy in all of them. “None of them would survive in this environment that I’m in,” she said of her co-stars afterward. “I don’t think that those girls really cared how I felt, grieving a marriage and a person you were married to, and your idea of that person.”

Erika admitted to the producer that she thought about suicide. “I thought about killing myself many a time,” she stated. But Erika’s son told her to fight and talked her out of it.

Meanwhile, Erika applied for a personal loan to cover the $100,000 budget shortfall. She was denied. Although she and Tom are legally separated, their divorce wasn’t finalized. Her name is still intertwined with his, and his alleged bad deeds.

Paging Erika Jayne!

10 days before opening night, Erika forgot the choreography and the counts. She even glanced at her phone in the middle of rehearsal. It was a mess and not the pretty kind. Mikey became frustrated and walked out of the building. “Sorry guys, it’s just like she doesn’t know the show at all,” he said.

Four days later, Erika and the two female dancers were dancing on a bed to “One Hot Pleasure.” Erika was barely moving, and it didn’t look hot enough. She was having trouble tapping into her sexy side.

Then it was on to Vegas! Erika was thrilled to see the billboard for the show. But with just three days left, time was ticking.

As a child, Erika would give shows in her living room. She was always part of children’s theater and dance. Her entire life has led her to this Las Vegas stage. Erika knows that the essence of her sexy persona is inside – somewhere.

“She’s still here. Damaged. Beat down,” Erika said. “But she’s still here.”

Tom isn’t far from her thoughts

It is now 29 hours until show time. “I have to bring something up, it was Tom’s hearing,” the producer said.

Erika asked how it went. “I don’t know, I think there was an attorney, who was talking about, that ah … from the prosecution that he did have some cognitive issues.”

“I would be a liar if I said it’s 100 percent out of my mind,” Erika said. She revealed that he calls her all the time. Tom thinks that he is still a practicing lawyer. As soon as they hung up, he called again, unaware that they had just spoken.

The repetitive phone calls were painful and reminded her of the man he once was, and their life before this happened. “I’m trying to remain somewhat civil to this person that was good to me until he wasn’t. And then … and then continuing my life ahead,” Erika said in her confessional.

Meanwhile, Mikey and Jamie watched some videos of Erika performing on the bed, with no choreography. They commented on how hot it was, and how this new performance was … not.

An emergency meeting

Alexis, Erika’s manager, asked to meet with Mikey. She told the producer and camera crew that the meeting could not be filmed. There was a squabble with the producer, but Alexis won. Oblivious, Erika sat onstage, wondering where everyone went. Girl, that means you are about to be voted off the island! Just kidding.

Afterward, Mikey and Erika had a meeting. This looped us back to the scene at the beginning. He told Erika that they needed to cut “One Hot Pleasure.” Why? “No one was killing it. Including you,” he stated. “As your friend, I just feel like there’s a piece missing.” Erika agreed, “Yeah. I’m not here.”

Just four hours before the show, Mikey told Erika that they were done bombing her with notes. He instructed her to think “punk rock” and just go for it. After the run-through, Mikey was thrilled. Erika started killing each section, and they finally had a show.

Erika makes her entrance

As the crowd chanted her name, Erika emerged from the stage in a lift. She opened with “XXPEN$IVE,” followed by “Painkillr.” Then she performed her new song, “Drip Drop.”

She closed with “How Many F*cks.” Compared to the rehearsal footage, Erika Jayne returned just in time! She seemed dialed into the routines and played off the crowd’s energy. As the show went on, she seemed more at ease.

Backstage, Alexis hugged Erika and started to cry. “That was the best thing that’s ever happened in Vegas!” she exclaimed. Slow your roll. I don’t think that is the case.

Everyone was elated, and Mikey started crying again. Someone get him an emergency cryangle. Erika became emotional 12 hours after the show. During the last three years, she never realized how many people were rooting for her. She felt happy and didn’t feel alone.

There were updates listed at the end. “Bet It All on Blonde opened to rave reviews and was a commercial success,” the first screen read. The next one read, “Tom Girardi was declared competent to stand trial by a federal judge on January 2, 2024.”

The final one got me in the feels. “Erika’s dog Tiago passed away one month after the opening night of her residency.”

Lala Kent’s Mom Will Help Raise Her Two Kids

Lala Kent

On March 3, Lala Kent announced her latest pregnancy via Instagram. In the post’s caption, she wrote, “I’m expanding my pod.” She posed with her current daughter, Ocean, next to her growing baby bump.

Fans saw as early as the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 trailer that Lala was looking to have another child. She expressed that she was looking for a sperm donor, which made sense considering how her relationship with Ocean’s father, Randall Emmett, ended.

With so much going on in Lala’s life, a fan might wonder how she does it all. How will she have the time and ability to take care of two children on top of everything else she does day-to-day, week-to-week? Well, Lala isn’t alone.

Lala compares her family to orcas

During an Amazon Live, Lala admitted to fans, “I never expected to be raising not one but two children in the type of household that I’m in.”

As for the parenting situation with her coming child, she shared, “I always say I’m raising my daughter Ocean, and I’ll be raising this new baby with my mom.” Lala added, “My mom is a tremendous help, and she helps co-parent.”

She broke down her parenting circumstances by saying, “But I have a pod around me. I say we’re like a pod of orcas. No one ever leaves the pod. We just keep adding to it. And it may not look normal to most people, but Ocean and this child, they’re going to be surrounded by so much love.” The comment was in line with her post where she said she was expanding her pod.

As for whether a father would enter the equation one day, Lala said, “I think that the word ‘dad’ is an honor and privilege, and that word is not something that should be handed out. And there are so many men in Ocean’s life that will be in this baby’s life that truly have taken on the role of a dad.”

Vanderpump Rules Season 11 continues Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.

Paige DeSorbo Details Rude Interaction With Real Housewives Star

Paige DeSorbo recalled a rude Real Housewives interaction at BravoCon on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen
Photo by: Charles Sykes/Bravo via Getty Images

Paige DeSorbo started out on Summer House, sharing a Hamptons plot since Season 3. Recently, she also appeared on Southern Charm thanks to her romance with Craig Conover. Despite being a Bravolebrity herself, Paige had the experience of a Bravo fan in meeting one Housewife.

They say never meet your heroes. So many everyday people have horror stories of just how unpleasant celebrities were to them in real life. Real Housewives aren’t exactly role models, but one should expect them to know how to treat their fellow Bravolebs.

Unfortunately, things did not go so smoothly in the case of Paige. See how she recounted the experience below.

Which Housewife insulted Paige’s “taste in men?”

On her recent Watch What Happens Live appearance, Paige detailed an unfortunate interaction with a Real Housewives star. When Paige approached the Bravolebrity, the Housewife insulted her “taste in men.”

In Paige’s words, “She looked at me up and down first. That’s very important. And said, ‘You make horrible decisions.’ And I was like, ‘Can we take a picture?’” Paige laughed as she explained.

“It honestly broke my heart. Yeah, I was like, ‘Oh my god, thanks so much. I love your outfit.’” Oof. Credit to her integrity, Paige refused to reveal with whom she’d had this interaction. However, she did reveal it was a “blonde” Housewife.

As for Paige’s apparently terrible “taste in men,” Paige stacked up Craig against other male Bravolebs in a game of Bobbing Bros. Paige credited Craig as the most genuine and most gentlemanly guy, but also the man who talks the most crap behind people’s backs.

Paige also revealed that Craig was incapable of keeping secrets. However, that worked out nicely for her. It meant that Craig would tell her everything, just as she would’ve hoped.

Summer House continues Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.

Lala Kent Reveals How She Told Daughter Ocean About Second Child

Lala Kent on WWHL with Andy Cohen
Photo By: Charles Sykes/Bravo via Getty Images

Just as the world was finding out about Lala Kent’s second child, the Vanderpump Rules star had already told her daughter, Ocean, about her new sibling.

Lala has her persona on the show, but she is a fierce and protective mother and likely thought about how she was going to break the news to her two-year-old. And Lala recently revealed just how Ocean came to know that she was going to be a big sister.

Lala revealed that Ocean had a lot of questions

During the March 4 episode of her Give Them Lala podcast, the Vanderpump Rules star revealed that the conversation came up in the most mundane way.

“I didn’t really tell her in some big way,” the Bravolebrity said. “She wanted to sit on me or something and I said, ‘OK, we have to be really careful because, guess what? Mama has a baby in her belly.’”

Ocean’s reaction was one of interest, but not shock.

Lala explained that her daughter asked, “‘Do you have a baby in your belly?’”

“I said, ‘Yeah.’ And she goes, ‘Well, let me see,’” the reality TV star continued.

Ocean then observed that she “doesn’t have a baby,” Lala’s mother Lisa revealed.

“She goes, ‘I don’t have a baby in my belly.’ I was like, ‘That is correct,’” the podcast host expanded on the hilarious comment.

It sounds like Ocean is intrigued and excited to be a big sister. Meanwhile, good wishes from the public are flooding in after Lala announced her pregnany on March 3 with an Instagram post.

“I’m expanding my pod,” she captioned a picture of herself visibly pregnant with Ocean looking on.

The entrepreneur previously expressed her intentions to get pregnant without the input of a partner. Given her experience with ex-fiancé, Randall Emmett, it’s easy to understand why.

“I will not even attempt to try and do it a different way. I don’t want another person involved,” Lala said during an episode of Scheana Shay’s Scheananigans podcast from late 2022. “There’s such a high chance of it not working out, especially where we live. I’m not taking the chance. Like, I am so scarred from all of this sh*t that has happened in my life.”

Catch Vanderpump Rules Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.

The Bachelor Season 28, Episode 8 Recap: Joey Meets the ‘Rents

The Bachelor Season 28, Episode 8 recap
Photo: Disney/Jan Thijs

Welcome to our recap of The Bachelor Season 28, Episode 8! This week, Bachelor Joey Graziadei visits the hometowns of the four remaining women. While three of the women open up about their feelings for Joey, one woman holds back out of fear of heartbreak. And for some reason, Kelsey Anderson just can’t stop with the grandma shoes. Ugh. Here are some highlights from The Bachelor Season 28, Episode 8.

The good times roll in Nawlins

The Bachelor Season 28, Episode 8

Welcome to New Orleans, Kelsey’s hometown. This should be fun.

First up is a ride through City Park on a tandem bicycle. It’s beautiful with the Spanish moss hanging off the trees. The last time Kelsey rode a tandem bike was with her mom, who passed a couple of years ago, so it’s a special memory.

Kelsey also associates butterflies with her mom, so every time she sees one, she squeals with delight. Though she’s definitely falling for Joey, it’s hard to know that her mom won’t be there to share “those big moments” in her future.

Next up are beignets, fried dough covered in powdered sugar. They’re the New Orleans version of a doughnut and came to “Nawlins” with the 18th-century French-Creole colonists. I’ve always wanted to try those.

As they’re enjoying their beignets, they notice a woman in a bridal gown nearby, posing for photos.

“How does that make you feel seeing that?” Joey asks.

“It’s an exciting idea,” Kelsey says. “It’s exciting, but I am pretty terrified.” She’s afraid he’ll break her heart. Three of the four remaining women are undoubtedly headed for Heartbreak City, so there’s a good chance.

Family photographs

When Kelsey and Joey meet her dad, Mark, he admits, “It’s very difficult not to have her mother here.” Then he pulls out a photo album with pictures of Kelsey’s mom and their family. She and Joey enjoy looking at all the old photos.

Mark wants to know if Joey’s someone who would protect his daughter the way he would. He’s reassured when Joey says, “My feelings for [Kelsey] are real … and I’m extremely hopeful.”

Mark sits with Kelsey and says, “The way [Joey] is with you is very reassuring. I want all of you to have that feeling I had with your mom because it’s the best thing in the world.”

Kelsey tells her dad that she thinks she loves Joey, even though there’s a possibility of heartbreak.

“I think Kelsey’s ready for the happiness,” Mark says.

Joey was impressed with Kelsey’s family. “They were so loving … open and honest. I’m really happy.” They agree it was a great day, and he would count himself lucky to be a part of their family.

Joey eats a pig’s ear

The Bachelor Season 28, Episode 8
Photo: Disney/Jan Thijs

Next up is Rachel Nance in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. “We didn’t get to go to Hawaii,” she explains, “but my family flew out to bring it to us.” Rachel was born and raised in the Aloha State but lives in SoCal now.

Rachel preps Joey on Filipino traditions. When Joey meets Rachel’s mom, Nuela, he touches his forehead to the back of her hand as Rachel coached him, and everyone loves it. They’ve roasted an entire pig to honor the couple.

“In the Filipino culture, when a suitor is interested in a woman, he has to eat the [pig’s] ear,” Nuela says. Joey is fine with that and gobbles it right up. Poor little piggie. Did you know pigs have the intelligence of a three-year-old child? I always feel guilty eating pork because of that, but sadly, they’re delicious. Sorry, Wilbur.

Rachel chats with her dad, Hakim. “I do see a future with [Joey],” she says. “I feel very happy with him … and I feel safe.” He tells her that no matter what happens, she’ll always have her mom and dad, who love her more than anything. Aww, he reminds me of my daddy.

Nuela asks Joey straight up about his feelings for her daughter.

“I care for your daughter, and I have not taken this lightly,” he says.

“I wish you the best,” she says, getting emotional. “My concern is [the] three other women involved.”

Even though Rachel’s parents are telling her to protect herself, “They do see me as someone who’s suitable for their daughter,” he says. Rachel’s sister Mandy tells her to “follow your heart.”

Rachel tells Joey she’s falling in love with him, and he’s thrilled.

Daisy’s Christmas Tree Farm

Wow! From SoCal to Becker, Minnesota, in the Fall. That must have been something of a climate shock, but the Fall colors are beautiful.

Daisy Kent is excited to show Joey around. “This is my family’s old Christmas tree farm,” she says. “Are you ready to go explore?”

“This place is special to me,” Daisy adds. “It’s just a place filled with love and Christmas.” What a great place to grow up.

“I haven’t told Joey how I feel yet,” she interviews. “I need to see him with my family first. See how he interacts with them … if they think he’s someone I can spend forever with.”

They get hot cocoa and hand-feed baby alpacas. “When I’m with Joey,” Daisy says, “I can completely picture myself being with him for the rest of my life. I just feel, like, giddy all the time.”

“This whole experience has honestly changed my … outlook on life. That’s, like, completely because of [Joey] and how he looks at me and treats me. Even if it’s not us at the end … I’m gonna have that forever. I know what I deserve, and I’m really happy.”

“I need my family’s stamp of approval on Joey,” she adds. Time to go meet them.

Daisy lets her walls down

The Bachelor Season 28, Episode 8 recap
Photo: Disney/Jan Thijs

Daisy’s parents, Julie and Brandon, are waiting, along with her sister, brother, and grandparents. Everybody wants to meet Joey.

Joey says he knew from their first date, “I was in trouble.”

Grandpa pipes up, “No, you’re not in trouble, Joey. You’re blessed.” Sweet!

“The hardest thing for me,” Julie tells Joey, “is that I do see that connection … But there’s also three other girls. Have you guys said ‘I love you’ to each other?”

“We have not,” Joey admits. “Daisy has told me there are real feelings, and I feel the same way … She wants to see how I would interact with her family.”

“I feel like Joey truly does love her,” Julie confesses. “But it just seems like she is not being vulnerable.”

“What do you think?” Julie asks Daisy.

“I like him a lot,” Daisy says. “He’s awesome.”

“He’s a really nice guy,” Julie agrees. “I definitely see that you really care for each other … [But] you’re afraid to get hurt.”

“I’m just worried that I’m not gonna be able to express it to him, and then I’m gonna lose him,” Daisy says.

“I want Daisy to … put the walls down and be vulnerable,” Julie interviews. “If Joey’s the guy for her, it’ll work out.”

“No one wants to get hurt,” Brandon says. “But if you want it to work, [you need] to get past that.” She needs to “shoot the shot … It’s only love.”

Apparently, she takes her parents’ words to heart. As soon as she and Joey are outside, Daisy “bites the bullet” and says, “I am falling in love with you … I think there’s something amazing here, and I want to see what it could be.”

Joey feels the same way. He’d better, ’cause she’s my favorite.

Maria in the mist

The Bachelor Season 28, Episode 8
Photo: Disney/John Fleenor

Joey is meeting Maria Georgas in Niagara Falls, New York. Isn’t she from Canada? The falls are beautiful, and again the autumn colors are gorgeous.

“As soon as I take one step forward, she takes two steps back,” Joey says about Maria. He doesn’t want to leave her hometown visit with doubt about their relationship.

Joey and Maria go on the Maid of the Mist, the famous tour boat that takes 1.5 million tourists up close to Niagara Falls annually (I looked it up). ABC must have rented out the whole boat, because Joey and Maria are the only passengers for their trip to the falls.

Maria really likes Joey, but she’s fully aware of the three other women, which scares her. It’s making her hold back.

Joey sits down with Maria’s dad, Nick. Maria means everything to her dad. She’s his “princess.” Joey asks for her father’s blessing if it comes to a proposal.

“If I know that you’re the guy that she chose,” Nick says, “I respect her decision. I would have no problem giving you my blessings. You’d become more to me than a son, because the woman that you chose is my life.”

“Tonight exceeded my expectations,” Maria interviews. “I’m so happy my family gave me the validation I needed.”

Before Joey leaves, Maria wants to tell him how she feels, but she can’t get farther than saying “my feelings for you are growing.” The thought of the other women and possible heartbreak are holding her back. So Joey leaves without hearing her say she’s falling in love with him.

“I don’t know why I didn’t say it,” she confesses. “I just froze.” That may cost you later, girl.

The Rose Ceremony

The Bachelor Season 28, Episode 8 recap
Photo: Disney/John Fleenor

When Kelsey is leaving for the RC, she is wearing a really cute pair of white pumps with high heels for once. But when she steps out of the car a few minutes later, she’s wearing the grandma shoes again. What’s up with that? Is she afraid of being taller than Joey?

As the women gather in an airplane hangar, Maria’s regretting not telling Joey she’s falling in love with him. She can still ask to talk to him before the Rose Ceremony. Speak up, girl!

As he picks up the first rose, Maria finally says, “Joey, can I talk to you for a second?”

When they get outside, she says, “I don’t want to have regrets coming out of this … I am falling in love with you … Regardless of what happens tonight, I would regret not telling you that.” He’s very stone-faced as she’s speaking. I think she missed her moment.

Joey gives roses to Daisy, Kelsey, and Rachel. I actually gasped because I thought he’d give Maria a rose. She really blew it not telling him she was falling in love. I’m stunned.

Joey walks Maria out and tells her it was a difficult decision. “We’ve had a bumpy road,” he says. “I was trying my best to get there. I just … felt it would be dishonest to move forward with the doubts that I have.”

Next week: Fantasy Suites in Tulum, Mexico! And the Golden Bachelor women are back to offer advice. Those ladies are making a career out of being Gerry Turner’s rejects.

The Bachelor Season 28 continues Mondays at 8/7c on ABC.

Deal or No Deal Island Episode 2 Recap: A Camp Divided

Deal or No Deal Island Episode 2 Recap
Photo by: Monty Brinton/NBC via Getty Images

Welcome back! Let’s dive right into the Deal or No Deal Island Season 1, Episode 2 recap. Last time, the Banker welcomed 13 guests to his tropical island. After landing at the bottom, Aron went against the Banker and won $600,000 for the final case. And he sent Brantzen home. This week’s episode, titled “Are You Calculating?” features some unexpected highs for the players. Here’s everything you need to know about Deal or No Deal Island Season 1, Episode 2!

Alliances are forming

Aron reflected on his win against the Banker. He has a learning disability and a stutter, but he wanted to be seen as a true competitor, and an inspiration to others. Boston Rob touched base with Aron, who he thinks of as a little brother. Rob will handle dealing with the big groups, and Aron will handle “the little stuff.” I don’t know what stuff Rob is referring to, but I’m sure Rob has it all under control.

The dynamic duo discussed what a threat Kim is in the game. Meanwhile, Kim is a reality TV fanatic, so she knows how Rob plays. She was pushing to get Rob out because he was a huge threat. But Jamil wasn’t enthused about her plan, so now Kim has doubts about him.

There seem to be two groups at camp. Rob’s merry band includes Jamil, Aron, Nick, Claudia, and Miranda. Jamil spilled all the tea to Rob about Kim’s plan. Meanwhile, Kim’s group includes Alyssa, Amy, Dawson, and Jordan. Kim told her group that Jamil was sus.

But Alyssa decided to play both sides of the camp. So, she cozied up to Aron. He told her that she was the person that he felt closest to on the island. Does that spell trouble for Aron’s big bro?

Are the Banker’s guests “calculating?”

Deal or No Deal Island Episode 2 Recap

Joe welcomed the group to the Banker’s private recreation club. This challenge will test “how calculating” the players can be. The group will be split into pairs. Each duo will have a hunter and gatherer. The hunter will shoot at disks, with the smaller sizes attached to cases with the highest value. The catch?

The arrows were shot high up into the trees. Each team can climb up and retrieve up to 10 arrows. The team that shoots down the case with the highest value is safe from elimination. If a player shoots down the case with the lowest value or runs out of arrows, they will be in the bottom two.

But the devious Banker wasn’t done. Above the arrows was another personal offer. A player could grab it and claim $20,000 in cash. But, doing so might slow the team down. Decisions, decisions.

Jamil wanted to win the money so he could woo back his former wife. He made mistakes as a husband, so he wanted to win the money to create a better life for her and their kids. He is on a mission to get his wife back.

The Teams

The contestants selected colored armbands to determine the partnerships. The teams are:

  • Dawson and Jordan
  • Kim and Alyssa
  • Boston Rob and Aron
  • Claudia and Jamil
  • Nick and Stephanie
  • Amy and Miranda

Welcome to the jungle!

Aron was having a hard time, and Rob was worried about how long it was taking. Climbing and rappelling down these high trees looks absolutely miserable. Aron was the last one to return, and he retrieved three arrows for Rob. Kudos to Aron for his determination.

Alyssa was the second to last person out of the trees, but she claimed a personal offer. She decided to keep it a secret. Good idea.

Whose arrows missed the mark?

Dawson bragged about having his own crossbow, but his firing was way off. And Rob was only aiming for the $1.5 million.

Finally, Kim and Rob were both down to their last arrows. Kim missed, so if Rob shoots down a case, Alyssa and Kim will be in the bottom two. And not only does he get a case – he gets the $1.5 million!

“Boston Robinhood with his last arrow hits the $1.5 million and takes control of the game,” Joe exclaimed. Meanwhile, Kim started to weep in Alyssa’s arms. I’m sure Alyssa was rethinking her alliance strategy and thinking of joining Team Robinhood.

So, that means that Rob and Aron will decide whether Kim or Alyssa will face the Banker in The Temple. I wonder who they will pick. Just kidding!

Back at camp, Alyssa confided in Aron that she took the personal offer. But Rob was annoyed when he found out that Aron told Alyssa that she was safe. He warned Aron that now everyone would know, and he needed to stop showing his cards.

Jamil, Nick, and Claudia feel that if Kim beats the banker, she will target one of them. Kim carried on and cried at camp to everyone who would listen. In their tent, Kim was crying to Claudia. But the former Deal or No Deal suitcase model noted that she saw no tears. Or as Claudia so eloquently put it, “Those are some dry-ass tears.”

Kim Mattina faces off against The Banker in Deal or No Deal Island Episode 2.

Kim joined Joe at the podium. “This could be the end of an opportunity for me, but I may be joining them in a matter of minutes and keep going for the money and kick their ass,” Kim stated. Shots fired! Rob remarked that her words were “a little aggressive.”

Joe asked Kim what she would do if she won the final case. Kim explained that she just lost her job. So this was a much-needed opportunity.

For her case, Kim selected case number five. For the first round, Kim selected six cases. She immediately knocked off the two lowest numbers. Her luck changed and she lost three of the four highest cases. When the Banker called and offered her $123,000, everyone liked the offer. But Kim was insulted by it and turned it down.

The group was not happy with Kim’s decision. Claudia told Kim that she made a mistake. The $1.5 million was still there, and Kim kept pointing to that fact.

The Banker upped his offer to $225,000. Claudia wanted Kim to play another round so that she would be eliminated. But Kim took the deal, which added $225,000 to the final case. She opened her case, and it held $100.00. So, not only is Kim safe, but she will decide who will go home.

Who was eliminated in Deal or No Deal Island, Episode 2?

Jamil Sipes was the second player eliminated in Deal or No Deal Island.

Kim sent Jamil home. In her confessional, Kim said that Jamil was “covertly sneaky,” unlike Claudia, who was “directly sneaky.” And not knowing what Jamil was thinking was a threat to Kim.

Joe asked if Jamil had any final words. “I can’t wait to see which one of you guys make a lot of money because it’s going to be somebody here,” he said. During a group hug, Claudia told Jamil, “I’m going to get her for you.” Watch out, Kim!

During his final confessional, Jamil stated, “I didn’t think that I was on anybody’s radar. But then when I realized that Kim was going to be on the bottom…damn! Even though I didn’t win a million dollars, it’s possible that my ex-wife would take me back. She was never really money motivated,” he added. Fingers crossed, Jamil!

Afterward, Claudia was disturbed by Kim’s decision to target Jamil. “It really feels ugly to me, and I don’t appreciate it,” she remarked. And now she has her sights set on sending Kim home.

Deal or No Deal Island continues on Mondays at 10 PM/ET on NBC.

Below Deck Season 11, Episode 5 Recap: Who’s Your Mummy?

Photo by: Fred Jagueneau/Bravo via Getty Images

Welcome back to Below Deck Season 11, Episode 5. In this week’s episode, called “Come On Eileen,” Barbie changes her perspective and promises to play nice. Jared gets support from the Captain, and the crew attends to some of the most vile charter guests ever. Xandi continues trying to train Cat to be a better stew, but it’s just not sinking in. Here are the highlights from Below Deck Season 11, Episode 5.

Barbie agrees to adjust her attitude

Photo: Fred Jagueneau/Bravo

When we left off last week, Fraser was having a face-off with Barbie at the bar on their night out. He’d just finished telling her she’d better change her attitude and start showing some respect for others (especially her boss) or she’d be on a plane home.

“I need you to understand,” Fraser tells her, “that if I’m like, ‘No, this is the way,’ that’s not personal.”

Finally, she tells him, “I get it. I want you to know I get it, okay? I’m a spoiled bitch who gets everything she wants all the f*cking time. And I need to get the f*ck over it. I need to grow up. Like, who do I think I am?”

“Babe, you’re amazing,” Fraser assures her.

“Barbie’s a spoiled brat,” he interviews, “but in yachting, work ethic and attitude [are] everything. She loves to say that she’s honest, and she just says it how it is, but that’s just not how life works. You need to filter.”

That settled, he tells her, “Let’s get drunk and have fun.”

“I swear, you’re going to see a whole change, okay?” she promises.

Good talk. We’ll see how it goes, especially with Cat.

Jared gets a pep talk

Photo: Fred Jagueneau/Bravo

Jared is frustrated that he hasn’t been able to get a cell signal. “I only get, like, two times a week to talk to my daughter,” he says. “I’m in jeopardy of losing all communication if I don’t … stick to the schedule … [I’m] trying to build trust again.”

The next morning, as Jared’s still trying to get a signal, Captain Kerry is talking to his daughter. Maybe Jared needs to switch providers? Maybe he needs to invest in a satellite phone.

Captain Kerry radios for Jared to come to the bridge. After updating him on the prep for the next charter, Jared shares his frustration with being unable to reach his daughter.

“Last night was particularly difficult for me,” he says. “I wasn’t able to speak to [her].”

As a father himself, Kerry can relate. “That sucks,” he sympathizes, as Jared apologizes for getting emotional. “Don’t be sorry for having an emotion, dude. I learned a few years ago that you need to get this stuff out. You’re stronger showing emotion than holding it.”

“When I was going through divorce, I couldn’t do my job,” Kerry says. “I tried many different methods of trying to get my sh*t together. Got rid of drinking. Started exercising. I started listening to self-help books. So, I can relate.”

“At any point, you need to [talk to] someone … just come and see me,” Kerry tells him. “Hitting the piss [alcohol] is not gonna help ya … Work through it. You’re the bosun of the boat. You’ve gotta hold yourself to a higher level.”

“He’s going through a tough spot,” Kerry interviews, “but when you’re head of department, you can’t have your head in the clouds … It affects your safety and the safety of the guests. You’ve gotta be focused on the job.”

Boat daddy

Fraser meets with Captain Kerry on the bridge. “Hey, matey! What you got?” Kerry asks.

“A couple of things for you, sir,” Fraser starts. “Cat, I think she may be going through things outside of work, which I sympathize with. She’s been fragile since the beginning of the season. Tears most days, just so you know. That’s what we’re running with.”

Captain suggests that when Fraser sees she’s having a rough day, he could let her take half an hour to go to her cabin and catch her breath, if it’s possible.

“On that note, yesterday and the day before, I had a fantastic response from Barbie,” the Chief Stew continued. “She changed her perspective.”

“Barbie’s brilliant with guests,” Fraser interviews. “[She’s] on it and quick, but she doesn’t always have the best attitude towards people. However, Barbie said she’s going to turn things around and be better. Let’s have hope that she will.”

“The captain is brilliant,” Fraser tells Chef Anthony in the galley a few minutes later.

“I know, he’s a great captain,” Chef responds. “He’s doing an amazing job. He’s like our daddy.”

“Yeah,” Fraser agrees. “And guess who’s your mummy?”

“You are my mummy,” Chef says.

“That’s correct,” Fraser answers. LOL.

Plastic cups only, please

Photo: Bravo

Captain Kerry calls Fraser, Jared, and Anthony to a preference sheet meeting for the upcoming charter. “Please do not hand Tina [the primary] a champagne glass,” reads Kerry. “She prefers to drink out of a plastic cup.” How classy. Also wasteful. I guess people who live in Iowa don’t worry about filling our oceans with plastic.

Fraser agrees with me. “It’s stupid and psychotic to be asking for plastic for every single drink,” he says.

The madness continues, as Kerry continues to read, “Dislikes beef, pork, poultry, eggs, tofu … “ Omg, is the chef going to have to make her buttered noodles? What does this woman eat?

“She’s got a lot of problems, this woman,” Fraser comments. “Like, come on, babe. Enjoy life … She’s got a screw loose.”

Later that evening, Fraser meets with his interior crew. For the next charter, “Barbie, I’m going to have you on service,” he says. “Cat, I want you to work between departments. Xan, you’re phenomenal at housekeeping, but more importantly, I trust you. And I would be totally honored to have you as my second [stew], moving forward in this charter season.”

And with that, he pulls out a two-stripe epaulet and hands it to her.

“Honestly, I don’t need a stripe to prove my worth,” Xandi interviews. “And now this is going to cause more attention to me.”

And she’s not wrong. “Of course, he picked her to be second,” Barbie interviews, heavy on the eye rolls. “Xandi’s so far up Fraser’s ass, and I’m not going up there. Whatever … In my mind, I’m the second stew. This is all bullsh*t.” Whatever floats your boat, Barbie. Remember that “new attitude” you promised Fraser?

Drunk shaming

Photo: Bravo

When the guests arrive, Tina is pleased to see her welcome champagne in a plastic cup. Whatever. After the tour of the boat, Fraser double checks her preferences. Looks like she’s a pescatarian (fish only). No meat, no eggs, no tofu.

“It doesn’t look like Tina likes anything at all,” Fraser interviews. “She doesn’t like smiling. She just doesn’t like much. But I will do my best to deal with it.”

Tina is the high-maintenance primary. Her husband is Rich. They’re traveling with Tina’s business partner Mike and his wife Eileen. Rich and Eileen are like oil and water. For some reason, she irritates him, and they bicker constantly. Tina says it’s because they’re both the same person. They’re basically “twins.”

When Eileen, who “likes to drink,” struggles to speak, Rich teases, “Eileen, do you have something on your mind?”

When Eileen clumsily tries to grab a piece of sushi with her chopsticks, and it falls back on her plate, Rich asks, “Eileen, do you have enough to drink?”

“I’ve had five, I’m good,” she answers. Wow. That’s why her motor functions aren’t working so well.

When the guests are leaving to go snorkeling, Ben asks, “How do you guys all know each other?”

Rich explains that his wife and Mike work together, “And Eileen’s just the local drunk that we’ve picked up.” Oh, that’s just mean. Rich is an asshole.

When they get in the tender to leave for their snorkeling trip, Eileen asks, “Where are we … What are we doing?” Sunny just spent ten minutes fitting her with fins, a snorkel, and a life jacket. Drink some water, Eileen. I know you’re on vacation, but wouldn’t you like to remember some of it?

Pudding provocation

Photo: Fred Jagueneau/Bravo

The night’s dessert is profiteroles with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. Yum! Tina dives right in as soon as her plate hits the table. “It tastes like egg,” she says. “I hate it.”

“Did you taste it already?” Eileen asks.

“She did!” Beth says. “She didn’t wait for everybody. How rude!”

Everyone piles on Tina for not waiting for everyone to get their dessert. Okay, a little rude, but it’s chocolate (and there’s been a lot of alcohol consumed). I might have been tempted, too.

Though Tina explains she didn’t want her ice cream to melt, Beth keeps at it, “Tina, dude, wait! I can hardly wait to have a bite. I was waiting for everyone else, though. That’s kinda how I roll.” Do you want a medal, Beth?

“If you’re a polite person,” Eileen slurs, “you wait until everyone has their … This is how we do it in the real world.”

Omg. It might have been a little hasty, but Tina is your hostess, people. Lighten up. Jeez Louise. It’s just ice cream in a puff pastry.

Finally, Tina’s had enough of the profiterole persecution. “I’m done,” she says, and she leaves the table.

“Nighty night, girl,” someone calls, sarcastically.

“Is Tina gone for the night?” Eileen asks Rich.

“As of right now, yeah,” her husband says, while Tina goes downstairs in tears.

Beth’s husband Rob followed Tina downstairs and gave her a hug. That was nice. None of her other friends (or her own husband) seem bothered that they hounded her out of the room. Nice friends.

Eileen has a near-death experience

Photo: Fred Jagueneau/Bravo

As Tina’s crying alone in her cabin, her husband Rich and all of their “friends” decide to take the party to the hot tub. That’s a great place for people who have already had too much to drink. Isn’t that kind of dangerous?

Barbie offers to bring everyone water, but Rich wants more alcohol. “Don’t make a trip without bringing everyone another drink … AND a water.”

Before she goes, she notices the bubbles are off and starts to turn them back on. “No, we’re good,” Rich says.

“Barbara, let’s go!” Eileen slurs. “I need a drink.” She wants another drink, and she wants it now.

“These guests are so rude,” Barbie says.”They’re lucky I can’t say what I would normally say.” It’s pretty ironic that they all ganged up on Tina for being “rude,” when they are just as rude.

And what I’ve been fearing all day finally happens. Eileen, at least ten or twelve sheets to the wind, slips on the wet deck next to the hot tub and bangs the crap out of her head. It must have made a heck of a noise because Barbie says, “What the f*ck?!” and runs upstairs. I’m surprised Eileen didn’t get a concussion.

After Eileen assures Barbie she’s okay, the stewardess sweetly offers to take Eileen back to her cabin, since she obviously doesn’t even know where she is. Barbie doesn’t want to risk her falling down the stairs and breaking her neck, so she carefully guides her back to her room. They should be taking her to see a doctor.

Below Deck continues Mondays at 9/8c on Bravo.

Tom Schwartz on ‘Sad and Pathetic’ Single Life

Photo By: Charles Sykes/Bravo via Getty Images

Tom Schwartz generally seems to have negative feelings about life post-divorce. Vanderpump Rules fans watched the Schwartz & Sandy’s co-owner expressing regret and disbelief at where he ended up at the age of 40. It was very apparent in Season 10, and still present in Season 11.

Probably the most symbolic of Schwartz’s single life is his apartment. He had to downsize after the sale of the house he bought with Katie Maloney during happier times. Now, he’s in a bachelor pad, with a lot of plants to keep him company.

So what are Schwartz’s updated feelings on life as a divorcee? He tends to go for self-deprecation and suspended disbelief on the matter. What has the VPR star said this past week on the cast trip to Lake Tahoe?

Schwartz feels like a divorce “statistic”

“I feel incapable,” Schwartz revealed during the Pump Rules After Show. “Not incapable of love, but incapable of being in whatever a traditional relationship is. But at the same time, I don’t want to be single.”

“It somehow feels sad or pathetic. But this happens, I’ve seen it play out many times. I just never thought it would be me. I kinda feel like a statistic. It just doesn’t have a great ring to it. I feel like a red flag,” he shared on the negative connotation of divorce.

Schwartz is in good company, apparently. Tom said, “Most of my friends are forty and single. Happy, and thriving, and successful. I just never thought it would be me I guess, you know?”

A clip of the VPR cast in demolition mode was shared. In it, Schwartz is swinging a sledgehammer while lamenting being single at 40. “In that moment, it felt good. I guess it was a little cathartic,” he shared.

It really does come down to the apartment though. Schwartz than revealed that his rent is “literally the same amount as my mortgage.” And that he’s “not building equity.”

“I think I was just bitter about my current living situation,” he continued. “Just such a Debbie Downer. It’s not that bad of an apartment. It’s fine, just that it’s literally the same amount as my mortgage. And I’m not building equity. It’s not sexy. It screams bachelor. It screams a dude who just got a divorce.”

Though Schwartz admitted to having “the means” to get an interior decorator, he is decided against the idea. “I don’t want to get cozy here,” he concluded.

Trishelle Cannatella Praises ‘Best Traitor’ Phaedra Parks

Trishelle Cannatella is one of the remaining Faithful competing for the grand prize in The Traitors Season 2. With the help of The Bachelor’s own Peter Weber (and Dan Gheesling), she helped lead the charge to take down the slyest Traitor, Phaedra Parks

She recently jumped on X, formerly known as Twitter, to sing the Bravo vet’s praises, calling her the “best Traitor” hands down.

“I’ve watched all The Traitors from all the countries and hands down Phaedra was the best traitor out of everyone,” the Real World star wrote. “[She’s] intelligent, classy, savvy, witty, and loyal. I’m so proud I got to share a screen with her and she played a damn good game.”

Did Dan ruin Phaedra’s game?

Before Phaedra’s banishment, many would argue the Married to Medicine rookie was playing a perfect game. However, she started catching the heat after Dan (her fellow Traitor) threw her under the bus during an earlier episode.

Since then, the remaining celebrities argued they had a list of evidence against Phaedra, even though she would claim none of their points were “concrete.” Fans argued that Dan gave up the funeral director’s game. But what does Trishelle have to say about it?

In response to a user asking her if she would’ve caught on to Phaedra without Dan calling her out, Trishelle put it bluntly: “No.”

“I had said, ‘I have notes from the beginning,’ but that wasn’t true; I didn’t really believe she was a traitor until that moment.”

And there you have it, folks. Could Phaedra have made it to the end? As a matter of fact, could Phaedra have won had Dan not blown up her spot? She very well could have.

We’ll see what she and the rest of the cast have to say at their upcoming reunion airing on Peacock on March 14.

Stream new episodes of The Traitors on Thursdays at 9/8c.
