5 Real Housewives Storylines That Were Never Resolved

Yes, the concrete evidence. The damning rumors. The threat of… receipts! When a controversial storyline appears, all we want are answers, right? Is that too much to ask? A bit of closure and resolution to problems the viewing audience has been willingly dragged into?

But what happens when the storylines aren’t resolved? When threads are left hanging and those handy dandy receipts never appeared? Here are the Top 5 storylines that still keep us up at night, because the mystery was never fully solved.

5. Real Housewives of New York / Bethenny vs Carole

Bethenny Frankel returned to Real Housewives of New York in Season 7 and she and Carole Radziwill clicked immediately. Beth and Carole were the new power couple and fans couldn’t get enough of the dynamic friendship. Everything was hunky dory for a few years until Season 10. Something was in the air and whatever it was, it didn’t bode well for Carole and Beth. Tinsley Mortimer began spending time with Carole and Bethenny felt some type of way about it. It seemed Bethenny was easily irritated throughout much of the filming. The two would butt heads at the drop of a hat and that led to an incredibly tense reunion. Carole chose not to return for Season 11 and Bethenny departed before Season 12. Viewers never got a reconciliation or an actual reason their friendship disintegrated.

4. Real Housewives of New Jersey / Melissa Gorga’s Long Lost Sister

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga has a lot of content that surrounds her sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice. Maybe that’s a drag for Melissa sometimes because Tre isn’t exactly like hanging out with a basket of warm puppies. Maybe Melissa wanted a little something for herself, like a storyline that has nothing to do with any Gorga but her. It’s not outlandish when you think about it, if you’re boring, chances are you will get #firedbybravo. So it seemed a bit… odd when all of a sudden Melissa began talking about a long, lost, secret sibling. Season 9 found Melissa dropping a bombshell and being a little extra. She apparently believed it was possible her late father might have had a child with someone other than her own mom. When she consulted with her mother and sisters who are not imaginary, they agreed to do a DNA test. On the Season 9 reunion, instead of shutting it all down and moving on, Melissa announced the DNA tests had not shown any results YET. Melissa shared she did a 23andME test and now it’s up to the secret sister to do her own test so she and Melissa can magically unite. All I can say about this is, sure, Jan.

3. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills / Carlton’s Curse On Kyle

If you are new to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, you might be unfamiliar with Carlton Gebbia, and that would be a damn shame. Carlton appeared out of the misty fog for Season 4, and while she wasn’t there for very long, she definitely made an impression. I don’t think I have ever seen anyone get under Kyle Richards’ skin as much as this goth British woman. I’m not sure if Kyle was intimidated by her slightly sharp demeanor or the amount of black she wore but trust me, Kyle was BOTHERED. At one point early in the season, Carlton mentioned she identified as a witch and went on to explain she doesn’t practice dark magic or anything negative. Carlton also explained she practiced Wicca and learned the craft from her grandmother. Now, in 2022 basically everyone with a nose ring is calling themselves a witch. The check-out girl at 7-11 is a witch. The lady selling cucumbers at the farmer’s market is a witch. But Carlton being so open about her lifestyle back in those days shook Kyle to her core. Kyle fumbled around Carlton and called her pentagram tattoo a Jewish star and generally acted like a 12-year-old – until Kyle decided Carlton had placed a witch curse on her. Kyle is less afraid of bees than Carlton. Kyle actually thought Carlton had put a spell on her, wait for it, computer. Carlton did not return after her debut season, unfortunately. We never did find out if she hexed Kyle’s monitor, but Kyle believes it so I guess it’s true.

2. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills / Brandi’s Revenge

After the Puppygate fiasco and Lisa Vanderpump’s departure from RHOBH, times were tough. Fans were mad and people were threatening not to watch the show. But the cast kept leaking little tidbits that Season 10 was amazing and dramatic and must see television. It looks like what happened is Bravo called in the big guns and the big guns belong to none other than Brandi Glanville. Denise Richards was still a member of the ensemble cast at the time but it almost seemed like she had a target on her back. Before a cast trip, Kim Richards visited her sister, COMPLETELY UNPLANNED that Brandi happened to be waiting in the car to be invited in to spill some salacious goss. And that’s exactly what she did. Brandi had texts, Brandi had photos, Brandi had harsh language! Before you knew it, the entire cast was accusing Denise of hooking up with Brandi even though she was firmly denying it happened. Brandi attempted to produce receipts but all she had were blurry photos of cheek kisses and generic text messages. Denise finally had enough and left the sandbox as soon as the season was over. Brandi did what she was told, came in and stirred up some drama to try and make people forget LVP was gone. And what did Brandi get? A big fat pile of nothing. To this day we still don’t know what happened, but sometimes people can have an active imagination or they could be doing a favor for production. Which leads us to…

1. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills / Puppygate

There was a time I was writing about Lucy Lucy Apple Juicy, or whatever the hell that poor dog’s name was, every day of my life. The Puppygate storyline was sad all around and we still have no idea what really happened. As everyone knows Lisa Vanderpump rescues dogs. It’s her calling, her passion. She does not mess around in that area. So when former BFF Dorit Kemsley messed up a dog adoption from Lisa’s own rescue foundation, everything went from bad to worse. Sides were picked, teams were made, and LVP was standing alone, mourning the death of her brother while her friends acted like fools. The ladies accused Lisa of selling stories to the media to make Dorit look bad, and Lisa swore on her kids she didn’t. Lisa took a lie detector test to try prove her innocence, it was useless. Kyle felt the need to visit Lisa in her own home and accuse her of lying. The dog was gone and Lisa went out the door too. She didn’t even show up to the reunion. Fans were devastated and the remaining cast felt like they had won. We still have no idea who dropped the dog at a shelter, we still have no idea who sold stories to the media.nBut seeing where the RHOBH cast are now, their winning streak didn’t really age well.

My Top 5 Below Deck Chefs

There’s something for everyone on Bravo, so if you don’t like to see rich ladies sitting around their house arguing, you can also see them fight on a yacht! Yes, there’s nothing quite like crystal clear ocean water and over-privileged people complaining.

This is why we’re so fortunate to have the Below Deck franchise. It’s debauchery with a view! But it costs a lot of money to be fed well on one of these vessels and viewers have seen their fair share of chefs in the galley. Some chefs have what it takes and some… simply float away. It’s time for a Best Below Deck Chefs List!

5. Hindrigo “Kiko” Lorran / Below Deck Mediterranean

Former Below Deck Mediterranean Chef Kiko Lorran was done dirty, by most people’s standards. Maybe he wasn’t the greatest chef ever, but what he lacked in skill he made up in enthusiasm. Unfortunately enthusiasm wasn’t what Captain Sandy Yawn wanted. Kiko had a lot of charm and he got on famously with the crew, but the guests weren’t feeling his lack of flair or his sad nachos. After repeated warnings from Captain Sandy, Kiko’s anxieties began to weigh heavy in his performance. Though Kiko had over 10 years experience working in international cuisine, the yachtie life straight up kicked him in the teeth. Sandy abruptly fired Kiko and his departure was painful. While he didn’t wow anyone with his food prep, he gets on the list because #justiceforkiko.

4. Adrian Martin / Below Deck

Adrian Martin appeared on Below Deck and compared to previous chefs, he was a regular blooming flower of peace and happiness. Adrian loved meditating, doing yoga, and reflecting on his idyllic childhood in Saint Marten. And then there was his food. This man was a whimsical, creative genius when it came to preparing things that had previously lived in the ocean. Unfortunately for Adrian, his mouth got him in trouble when he attempted to sweet talk a member of the interior crew. We never saw Adrian again because he’s off being a fancy private chef in New York City, but we will always remember the looks of amazement from satisfied guests.

3. Marcos Spaziani / Below Deck Sailing Yacht

Chef Marcos Spaziani might not be at the top of your list but maybe he should be. This is a man dedicated to his craft and he proved it during Below Deck Sailing Yacht’s third season. Marcos had been working as a chef for over 10 years before hooking up with the Parsifal III. His culinary delights were a treat for most guests – he could cook gourmet Venezuelan, Korean, Italian, you name it. Maybe sometimes the portions were a little small, but he was just trying to keep everyone’s carbon imprint low! Marcos really set the bar for galley chefs when he nearly sliced his own head off but kept on working. Atta boy!

2. Rachel Hargrove / Below Deck

If Captain Lee Rosbach likes you, you must be doing something right. Chef Rachel Hargrove is a spitfire who can have questionable mood swings, but if you are a chef and you aren’t moody, are you even cheffing? Rachel’s guests would rave over her entrées and Captain Lee was always impressed. The hard-to-please Stud of the Sea even labeled Rachel one of the best yacht chefs he’s ever worked with. Rachel’s extremely no-nonsense attitude might lead to clashes with the crew every once in a while, and maybe she might curse everyone out and storm off the boat. But she comes back when she’s had a moment and continues to serve masterpiece meals.

 

1.  Ben Robinson / Below Deck

Oh Ben Robinson, you were our first chef. Ben helped ease everyone into the yacht life with his dry wit and fetching British accent. He’s the OG chef and for that reason, he gets to be number one on today’s list. His spicy demeanor, incredible dishes, and English temper served as a benchmark for all chefs who come behind him. Ben had conflicts with Chief Stewardess Kate Chastain, their love/hate relationship and banter was legendary. Ben came on mid-season once to save the day after Leon Walker took his beef cheeks and left the boat in a huff. He also returned to save the season when Mila Kolomeitseva lied about her experience failed to perform up to standards. Ben was an excellent addition to the crew and went above and beyond what was expected of him – and he did it while being funny. This is why Chef Ben will be number one on our list – until someone funnier comes along…

Heather Dubrow Addresses Rumors That Husband Terry Dubrow Is Cheating

Not so fast! After social media rumors swirled that Dr. Terry Dubrow was allegedly stepping out on wife Heather Dubrow, Heather took only a few days to shut it down. It’s such a Heather move to respond so quickly but I can’t blame her – the Dubrow empire has presented a happy front for years. There’s no doubt this rumor is fueling some interest in the upcoming season of Real Housewives of Orange County. Whether or not it will make it to the show, which is currently filming, is another story.

As reported by E! News, on September 29th, the well-known celebrity gossip account DeuxMoi posted a blind item, as they do. The pseudonym listed was “Fancy Pants,” Heather’s longtime nickname on the show. The blind read, “This housewife has not been seen filming with her colleagues for weeks. Word on the street is her husband is her husband’s affairs surfaced and we know who is not afraid to air it all out.”

Fan account @bravohousewives reposted it on Instagram with a picture of Heather and Terry smiling. Their caption read, “According to @deuxmoi, Heather Dubrow is skipping out on #RHOC season 17 filming due to cheating allegations circulating! Do you believe this?”

Heather jumped into the comments to shut it down. She wrote, “This is not true, on any level.”

Unfortunately for Fancy Pants, this isn’t the first time she has had to shoot down gossip about her 23 year marriage. Back in April, she addressed one such rumor on her podcast Heather Dubrow’s World. Of Terry allegedly having a years long affair with his assistant, Heather stated, “It’s not true. I’m not going to give it any weight or any life because it’s stupid.”

Who knows where the rumor came from. And DeuxMoi’s blinds are often far from accurate. But I’m curious to see where Tamra Judge, who loves a good rumor, will stand in all of this. Season 17 marks her big return to the show, after being let go in 2020. Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Taylor Armstrong is also joining the cast as a “friend of” now that she lives in Orange County.

Bravo hasn’t confirmed any other casting news yet. But back in June, Shannon Beador had to go on record saying she didn’t leak any cast info after Kelly Dodd blabbed about it on social media. Kelly wrote, “Shannon called me and told Heather set up a lunch with all of the girls. Heather thinks she’s a producer and obviously thinks she’s running Bravo.” She went on to say that both Gina Kirschenheither and Dr. Jen Armstrong are gone from the show. Gina has denied the rumors but Jen announced a month later that she was let go.

Below Deck’s Ashton Pienaar Is Engaged To Longtime Girlfriend Sarah McAlpine Cooper

Cheers to Ashton Pienaar! The former Below Deck star just announced a major milestone in his life. He’s getting married to his longtime girlfriend, Sarah McAlpine Cooper. Us Weekly covered the exciting news, and the former bosun took to his Instagram to share the announcement.

“Over the last 5 years, my life’s journey has been really all over the place. I’ve shaken things up, put myself out there, done hard work on myself, and peeled back my layers,” Ashton wrote. “I followed my personal mantra of having security in the unknown, and kept faith that if I remained true to myself and put in the work, good things would come my way.”

He added that his self-improvement journey wasn’t just for himself but to make for a better future with Sarah. He continued, “I did this all for the sake of establishing a better, more fulfilling life for myself… And for you @sarahmcalpine. For us.”

When it came time to pop the question, Ashton planned it out for months, but he chose to propose in a pretty unusual spot—an airport. In a video on Instagram, he captured the special moment and explained why he decided to propose in such a seemingly unromantic place. It turns out it’s not just any old airport. It’s actually the airport where they first met!

Ashton wrote about the big moment, saying, “Sarah fully believed that I was going away on a planned trip to Portugal/ South Africa for 6 months. When she was dropping me off, she thought she was saying goodbye for the better half of a year. Needless to say, she was pretty sad.”

He continued, “The truth is, I really had planned to go away this year… But the last year was a big wake up call. I realised that being with this person made me more happy that any trip overseas could. The next step became increasingly obvious.”

To make the moment even more special, Ashton decided to pop the question in the exact same spot in the airport where they met—so romantic!

He wrote, “So, as we walked through the airport, I suggested that we take a parting selfie in the very spot where we met. When we got to the exact right spot, I told her that I would stay with her in America if she answered one question correctly: ‘Will you marry me?'”

She said yes!

Here’s The Reality TV Shows I’m Watching This Week

My DVR runneth over! This week, my favorite watches are almost all on Wednesday. Real Housewives is firmly in top tier territory thanks to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. And my streaming services are looking like they are worth every penny, at least for now. So here’s what I’m watching this week.

Wednesday – Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills

Last week’s episode of RHOBH was one of the most riveting in Real Housewives history. The ladies are back from Aspen and the fall out from Kathy Hilton’s alleged meltdown continues. Everyone on the cast is talking about it. In fact, Lisa Rinna won’t shut up about it. Kyle Richards, who will never miss an opportunity to throw her sisters under the bus, bamboozled Kathy into also facing off against Rinna. In a surprise move, Kathy was accountable for whatever Lisa said and apologized multiple times. Rinna remained unsatisfied, happy to beat a dead horse.

This week’s episode promises more of Erika Jayne’s villainous attempts to take the heat off herself. And it’s the finale! Which Kathy did not attend, further fueling the rumors about her (again, alleged) misdeeds. And Kyle might finally turn on Rinna for making her uncomfy with Kathy. But something tells me Kyle won’t stay mad for long. She knows she needs Rinna and unless Rinna gets the boot, the cast is going to continue to enable her.

Wednesday – Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City

Ok, wow! I don’t know if I was all hopped up from RHOBH, but the RHOSLC premiere was so dramatic. The first few minutes was an intro for the ages. Producers flashed back to Jen Shah bragging about how much money she makes. They show Heather Gay and Whitney Rose singing each other’s praises. Ditto for Meredith Marks and Lisa Barlow. Of course we all know that it all goes to shit this season. So Bravo is really setting this up beautifully.

Wednesday – The Challenge: Untold History

I love love love The Challenge and have watched every single season since the show’s inception. So I was thrilled to see MTV create a series looking back over the years. The first four episodes documents how The Challenge started, how it became popular and a look at our favorite underdogs. The last episode, number 4, talked about the series’ GOATs. For those of you wondering, that means Greatest Of All Time.

Of course, the assembled cast of current and former Challengers all had different answers to who was the best of the best. But regardless of who tops your list, it was a fun ride to revisit those who dominated the game. This week’s episode , aptly titled “Love Is Not A Game,” will focus on the relationships that came from the show. And I think we can all agree that the love between CT Tamburello and Diem Brown will be a look back that gives us goosebumps.

Wednesday – Prince Andrew: Banished

As much as it pains me to say, I am fascinated with the royal family. And while they have spent their modern day rule trying to protect their damaged reputation for decades now, Prince Andrew blew that to smithereens. This documentary examines the accusations against Prince Andrew. One of the central ones being his friendship with convicted sex-trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

The series provides interviews with palace insiders, journalists, members of Prince Andrew’s social circle. Not to mention the legal team that brought this all to light. He might have been the Queen’s favorite but the public has now shunned him, which is exactly what he deserves. I love a justified take down and this series promises to expose this disgraced royal’s fall from the grace. But did he ever have it to begin with?

Streaming – Eat The Rich: The GameStop Saga

This 3 part Netflix docuseries tells the story of how a Reddit group and TikTok movement went up against Wall Street. In January of 2021, small time retail investors banded together to purchase an influx of stock in GameStop, a failing gaming retailer. The hedge funds that typically dominate Wall Street were caught off guard and out numbered, resulting in them being big mad. Why? Because the little guy dared to manipulate the market to their advantage, which is something Wall Street has done for decades.

Eat The Rich talks to a few Reddit users behind the movement, which the Washington Post described as “completely driven by influencer culture.” One influencer, Matt Kohrs, explained, “The sentiment was exactly one of revenge. Not only did people make money on the ride up, but finally, we made hedge fund Wall Street pay.” Another noted, “A lot of these people that bought GameStop stock, they watched their parents’ whole savings or retirement funds just go to nothing basically, ’cause of the subprime mortgages. So it’s like, getting back at the hedge funds.”

Here’s the Reality TV Shows I’m Watching This Week

Another week, another list. Is my Instagram feed the only one full of people bleaching and shaving off their brows? It’s put me in the mood for some early 2000’s content. Please join me for what I’m watching this week, and let me know what other early-reality-era goodness we should revisit in the comments!

Monday – Below Deck Mediterranean

Guests who want to be “three sheets to the wind” the entire charter? Sign me up. In previous weeks I was rooting for the downfall of this season’s chief stew, Natasha Webb. And even though I stand by the need for a little chaos on this boat, it looks like Storm Smith may actually be the right department head for the job. Last week Storm let deckhand Jason Gaskell know that the boat is actually a cheerocracy. Jason can either perk up or ship out. Meanwhile, Storm is actively promoting Courtney Veale to lead deckhand over one of his best friends, Mzi Dempers. Sure, it might be the right decision, but is it so wrong to hope for some alcohol-fueled crew drama about it?

Wednesday – Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

The EJ Maxx Chronicles have been officially outshined by Kathy “PEACE” Hilton and her behavior in Aspen. And here comes Lisa Rinna to ride in the wake of someone else’s (admittedly intense) authenticity. Lisa trying to claim Kathy isn’t the beloved socialite we all thought she was isn’t really an argument that appeals to us lowly viewers. Especially as she continuously clings to the KarJenner clout a full generation beneath her. But okay. Let’s gather around while Lisa claims she has PTSD from a meltdown she willingly opted in to watch! Tots and pears to Lisa as she finally gets told to shut up by Kyle Richards in this week’s episode!

Wednesday – Survivor

Eighteen castaways were dropped in Fiji for 26 days for Season 42 of Survivor. We are two episodes into the season, and things are only getting started. I know how strict Survivor viewership is, and as such, I am only providing recommendations, not spoilers! But trust me, this is going to be good! The first two episodes were given extended time to fully dive into the cast and the drama. Join me on Wednesday or read our recaps here.

Thursday – Southern Charm

We’ve made our way through another season of Southern Charm. The finale episode at Craig Conover’s Sewing Down South celebration left me with so many unanswered questions. Like why was Leva Bonaparte shit-talking Craig to his partners at his own event (even if everything she said was dripping in truth – it felt mistimed.) Was Whitney Sudler-Smith supposed to be seated at the popular table without Naomie Olindo? And if  Paige DeSorbo has to be here, will she ever elevate to a wardrobe that looks like it didn’t come creased in plastic packaging? Hopefully, next week’s reunion can provide some clarity about where this ragtag crew of “friends” is headed.

Streaming – Wife Swap

An oldie but a goodie. I am a little nervous to share/admit I watch this one, but I swear you need to give it a chance. This show is from the early 2000’s peak reality TV era before anyone had social media or a hint of awareness their behavior would be enshrined on a national stage forever. Pre-cancel-culture-realness. Two wives from opposite-minded families swap lives for two weeks. The first week they must live as the other family dictates. In the second week, wives change the rules in an effort to change the behavior of their guest family. This show is camp as hell and way better than anything TLC has dished out in years. Remember that balloon boy hoax in 2009? Wife Swap knew them first. That kooky family is featured in Season 5 Episode 1, if you need a place to start.

Where Do Rachel and Aven Stand After His Surprise Finale Return?

Rachel Recchia and returned suitor Aven Jones are looking forward the future.

The day following the live finale of The Bachelorette, Rachel revealed how things are going with Aven after his surprise appearance, in an interview with ET.

“We’ll have to wait and see,” Rachel says of what may come of her relationship with Aven. “I think we are just taking things, obviously, very organically and slowly if there were to ever be anything coming out of it. But it really just was nice to have him there, to just have him in that moment.”

Rachel was having an emotional night. Bachel Nation watched her get engaged to Tino Franco at the end of her Bachelorette journey. But following a series of ups and downs in their relationship, Rachel and Tino broke up after he confessed to kissing another woman.

Rachel and Tino were reunited onstage for a very uncomfortable conversation, but Rachel’s mood took a turn for the better when host Jesse Palmer announced that there was someone waiting off-stage who wanted to talk to the pilot.

“When he said that, I don’t even think it was registering in my mind what he said,” Rachel says of the moment Jesse revealed the surprise appearance. “I was just trying to get off the stage.”

Rachel‘s face lit up when Aven walked out onto the stage. The couple had previously broken off their relationship when Aven confessed that he wasn’t ready to propose, but would rather continue dating off the show (ie. in real life, rather than fantasy).

As Tino sat by watching in uncomfortable silence, Aven told Rachel, “This is tough, and you don’t really deserve any of this . . . I was just wondering if you maybe want to get out of here and catch up?”

“I would love nothing more,” Rachel replied.

Awkward! Right in front of Tino! I felt sorry for the guy.

Now Rachel is gushing that Aven “has always just been such a comforting presence in my journey and someone I trust and just have an amazing relationship with.”

“To see him on the side, it was really nice and comforting,” Rachel says. “It was great to be able to talk to him after having such a hard time.” Kind of  a human consolation prize?

Rachel and Aven proceeded to leave the stage and did not return for the rest of the live finale, a fact that appeared to be surprising to Jesse, who brought up the pilot’s absence multiple times as the show went on.

To me it felt to me like Jesse was enjoying taking jabs at Tino, who committed the cardinal sin of kissing another girl during their on-again off-again relationship. It’s not like he slept with someone. He made a mistake. But Rachel wants perfection. Consider yourself lucky, Tino.

As for the fact that the reconciliation happened while Tino was still onstage, something that drew a fair amount of backlash online, Rachel doesn’t think Aven meant anything by the timing of his appearance. (Actually Aven probably didn’t have anything to do with timing or anything else. The producers sent him out there to stir up controversy.)

“In the moment, I was, obviously, very confused. That was not Aven‘s intention. He was also not under the impression that that was ever going to happen. We do not condone any sort of bullying or humiliation,” Rachel insists. “I’m sure [Tino] felt horrible. I don’t want to, obviously, make him feel like that, regardless of what happened in our relationship. I don’t really know where the timing of all that happened, but it was not Aven‘s intention, and I know that.”

I’m sticking with my opinion that Tino dodged a bullet. His heart may be broken right how, but he would never have been able to live up to Rachel‘s expectations. She’s a princess and wants everything to be about her. Good luck with that, Tino.

Tom Schwartz And Katie Maloney Settle Divorce

Many Vanderpump Rules fans were stunned by the news that the last “OG” couple standing, Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz, were ending their marriage. The couple wed in August of 2016 in an enchanted forest wedding while Bravo cameras rolled. Katie and Schwartz got married for a second time in Las Vegas in 2019. There was a snafu with the paper work, so their first wedding wasn’t legal. Oops!

Katie and Schwartz announced their split on Instagram. “After 12 years on an adventure through life together Tom and I are ending our marriage. This ending is not met with resentment or animosity, no sides to choose,” Katie posted. “Although we may be on different paths we will continue to love and support one another’s happiness.”

Schwartz reflected on the good times in their marriage in his Instagram post. “I’m telling you we had some of the most blissful, romantic, fun times humanely possible over the course of our relationship. I’m talking heaven on earth level joy,” he said.

Katie revealed that the duo had been fighting for months before they decided to end their marriage. Of course, one issue was that Schwartz never seemed to take Katie’s side. Duh! His character flaw played out in every season of Pump Rules. Last season, Schwartz sided with his business partner, Tom Sandoval, over his wife. In the end, Schwartz did accept responsibility for their breakup.

Katie filed for divorce on March 22, 2022. Page Six reported that the duo’s divorce has been settled. Court documents were filed on Sept. 26, 2022, in Los Angeles Superior Court. Katie requested that the court waive spousal support for both parties “forever.” According to the documents, Schwartz and Katie reached an agreement about how to split up their joint assets. Their divorce will be finalized when the judge signs off on their settlement documents.

While Katie and Schwartz’s split was amicable, a rumored hook-up between Schwartz and VPR cast member Raquel Leviss seems to have stirred up some drama. Raquel was fresh off her broken engagement to James Kennedy. When Scheana Shay finally tied the knot with Brock Davies, Raquel was a bridesmaid. Schwartz served as a groomsman during the nuptials in Mexico.

There were unconfirmed reports that Raquel and Schwartz hooked up during the wedding. Scheana couldn’t confirm whether or not it happened. She only saw the duo “talking.”

A production source claimed that “Raquel [Leviss] and Schwartz 100 percent hooked up during Scheana’s wedding.” Katie supposedly blamed Scheana for encouraging the duo to get together. We are talking about adults, people. Well, sort of.

Another insider at Scheana’s wedding claimed that Katie saw Raquel and Schwartz “heavily making out.” The source continued, “Katie went off and cameras were rolling on the entire thing. She was screaming at them, and they were yelling back.”

Season 10 of Pump Rules looks like it will have some interesting story lines after all. I’m here for it!

Married At First Sight Recap: -The Ugly Truth

Just when you thought Married At First Sight couldn’t have any more drama, this episode is released.  After everything that went on last week, I thought we may get a break. What the hell was I thinking? Let’s be honest most of these couples are realizing either they don’t like each other or there is something about their spouse that is concerning. At this point, I would be shocked if anyone decides to stay married. But given I am a fan of the show, I know it’s not over until it’s over. There is no telling what can happen in a short time. We will just have to sit on the edge of our seats until decision day.

The couples have one final chance to speak with the experts as Decision Day draws near. The experts help the couples confront truths.  One couple finds it difficult to continue on in the process.  But another couple is ready to go all in. Let’s get straight to the recap.

Morgan and Binh

Binh worries that he will disappoint his parents if he gets a divorce. His family is extremely religious and traditional and he fears his father would use this against him. Honestly, I’m over the Morgan show. I don’t need to hear her berate her husband or continue to whine about the same topic every episode. Insert side eye here. When Dr. Pepper asks Krysten if she feels her marriage is over, she responds that she wants a divorce. Binh agrees, but for different reasons. Based on his experience, he questions if he was truly ready for marriage. I feel bad for Binh, but this divorce is for the best.

During a group outing, Morgan and Binh reveal to everyone that they decided to get a divorce. She also takes the opportunity to throw a dig at Binh by saying she could never be friends with someone like him. In a post interview, Binh believes that she needs to let things go and forgive him in order for them to move on separately in a healthy way.

Krysten and Mitch

Krysten meets with Mitch‘s sister-in-law, Stephanie to express frustration about how he always wants to debate. Stephanie isn’t surprised because she experienced the same thing when first getting to know Mitch.  But she encourages Krysten to continue to voice her concerns. Later, Mitch and Krysten meet with Dr. Pepper Schwartz. Krysten brings up how she feels judged by her decisions when it comes to her husband’s stance on the environmental and societal issues. Honestly, it seems like no matter what she does, it will never be enough for him. He even challenges whether she truly is ready to be with someone who will always remind her of the consequences of her actions. Krysten is very honest and admits she doesn’t know if she can because of how much it affects her.

Mitch speaks to Krysten‘s sister about their marriage. While talking, he broaches a subject he has been too nervous to address with his wife. He explains he is most attracted to his wife when she looks more natural, without the makeup or straightened hair. He asks for advice on the best way to tell Krysten. Her sister is ready for this question and defends Krysten’s right to choose how she looks. She explains that women aren’t always presenting themselves for male attention, often times it how they feel most comfortable. She worries if Mitch mentions this; it will appear he doesn’t fully accept Krysten. This is especially important considering he initially saying he was not attracted to her.

Like a good sister, Stephanie warns Krysten about the conversation she had with Mitch. During a group outing, Alexis brings up his thoughts about his wife’s looks and questions if he is over that. Given that Krysten is already privy to the conversation with her sister, I wonder did she ask Alexis to bring up that topic. Initially Mitch says he doesn’t remember saying that, but eventually admits he wanted someone who looked earthier. Krysten goes off about how she deserves a man who is excited about her and isn’t constantly trying to change her when the experts try to minimize the weight of his comments. Amen, sister! Don’t let this man cause you to second guess your beauty and who you are as a person. If he isn’t your husband, there is another man out there. I was proud that she stood up for herself. Too often these experts encourage participants to overlook toxic behavior.

Lindy and Miguel

Lindy and Miguel enjoy a day of axe throwing, where she easily takes the win. Afterward she shares her concerns that something could happen that would destroy their relationship. Miguel admits that he isn’t the type of guy to make long term promises. He makes it clear that he isn’t going to stay in a loveless marriage, which only makes her worry more. It’s obvious Lindy wants reassurance that Mitch is quite comfortable giving her, despite them exchanging the L word.

Miguel meets with one of Lindy‘s friends to get more insight into his wife. Although her friend tries to highlight more of her positives, Miguel is still concerned about her being quick to be negative or angry. He reiterates that he isn’t going to stick around if those things become constant. Later, when this is addressed with Pastor Calvin Roberson, he recommends Lindy to scale back on those actions. She is always warning him about her temper, so I think that Miguel is beginning to see the signs that she may not be joking.

Alexis and Justin

Justin meets with Alexis’ friend Will to update him about their marriage. Clearly, things have been going downhill between the newlyweds over the last couple of weeks. Will encourages them to be patient because the way they got married. That could cause anyone extra stress and anxiety. While that may be true, I believe their personalities just may be too different. I’m not sure if they have enough time to completely turn things around.

Alexis and Justin meet with Devon Franklin to address their problems. Devon actually does a good job of helping them reflect and see things they can do to be the best reflection of themselves and their marriage. They both seem encouraged by his words, but I can’t help but to think it’s only a matter of time before things go back downhill.

 

Stacia and Nate

During a meeting with Stacia, Nate and Pastor Calvin she admits she told Nate she loves him. Although he hasn’t said it directly, he feels like he could go down that road if he lets go of the fear of getting hurt. But when Stacia reveals she cheated in a relationship 10 years ago, Nate expresses disappointment. Obviously, no one wants to feel judged after being honest about something that happened so long ago. But I guess Nate didn’t get that memo. Hopefully, this doesn’t affect her ability to feel safe to open up in the future.

Stacia meets with two of Nate‘s friends and worries when she learns he has never been in a serious relationship. She is unsure of how long it will take for him to fully open up or fall in love if he has never done those things before. If I am being honest, I would be concerned as well. To jump from no serious relationship to marriage is a big leap. Stacia admits to his friends she feels she is bearing the brunt of the relationship. Sigh! I don’t need to be a psychic to know that this is going to come up again in some way.

Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills Season 12 Episode 20 Recap: Apology Not Accepted

Welcome back to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills recap. Last week, Lisa Rinna told the world about Kathy Hilton’s epic meltdown at a private club in Aspen. Rinna took Kathy home in a sprinter van. According to Rinna, Kathy continued to rage, even when they were alone at Kyle Richards’ house.

But there weren’t any cameras at the club, or in the van, or at Kyle’s house. So, all we have is Rinna’s word for it. Could Rinna be targeting Kathy for a storyline? I think the truth is buried somewhere in the middle.

Erika Bares Her Soul

Erika Jayne shares her virtual visit with her therapist. Erika has been going to therapy for three years. Her therapist advises her to let go of the image of the husband that she believed that she had in Tom Girardi.

While Tom could be sweet, he could also be mean. Erika believes that her estranged husband didn’t believe that he had to follow the rules. “I want to believe that it got away from him, and not that he orchestrated it this way,” Erika stated. This is the most vulnerable that I have ever seen Erika. She admits that she is scared.

Pretty Messed Up

Erika hosts a fun Pretty Mess Hair pop-up shop for her friends and their stylists. The press is already asking questions about Kathy’s behavior in Aspen. Sutton Stracke shows up to support Erika because she wants Erika to succeed.

Dorit Kemsley tells Rinna that Kathy remembers exactly what happened in Aspen and that she is upset about the way she behaved. Rinna is pissed because Kathy tried to keep her from speaking out.

Kathy texted Rinna, “Please please do not say anything we discussed. Otherwise, it will make a huge scene that everyone gets dragged into. No bueano.” (Spelled incorrectly, as Rinna noted.)
Another text to Rinna read, “Please it goes further than you would want to know. Silence is golden. I am staying silent,” Kathy wrote with heart emojis.

Kathy also went on Instagram Live and denied that the Aspen incident happened. Rinna, once again, was annoyed.

Rinna and Dorit fill in the rest of the RHOBH ladies. Kathy became enraged at the club when the DJ refused to play “Billie Jean.” A manager told Kathy to go back to Los Angeles. Diana Jenkins tipped the manager $200 to keep it quiet.

Sheree Zampino mentions that Kathy was upset and agitated outside of Kemo Sabe earlier that day. Ding! Now Rinna realizes that she set off the meltdown by ordering Kendall Jenner’s tequila instead of Kathy’s brand.

While Rinna won’t tell the ladies exactly what Kathy said about them, she happily runs it down in her confessional. Kathy allegedly called Sutton and Crystal Kung Minkoff  “pieces of sh*t” and said they should be axed from the show. She supposedly called Dorit a “stupid, useless idiot.” Kathy was upset that she has to be around her co-stars.

Rinna has been sending Kathy prayers and blessings because she needs them. Oh, please.

Sutton’s Southern Hospitality

Sutton invited Erika over for lunch. She is serving Popeye’s Chicken, but on the fancy china. And she is serving up either sweet tea or champagne. Sutton doesn’t want to see Erika striking out at people. She suggests that Erika use some compassion in her voice. They agree that “victim” is a trigger word for Erika. Erika just wants to be heard, and Sutton understands that.

Is That An Apology?

Kyle is anxious while waiting for Kathy to arrive. Kathy makes a joke about coming in from the ranch to apologize. That is just…odd.

Kyle and Kathy’s relationship had been strained by Kyle’s television show, American Woman. When Kyle’s husband, Mauricio Umansky, left Rick Hilton’s real estate firm to start The Agency, it was another source of tension.

Kathy apologized for venting and admitted that she didn’t think that Kyle would find out. I guess that makes it okay, then! Kyle asked why her sister said such horrible things about her. Kathy blamed the altitude, the wine, and being tired as reasons for her temper tantrum.

When Kyle said that Kathy’s words make it feel like she hates her, Kathy flips it back on Kyle. She accuses Kyle of not spending time with family and not answering her phone calls. Kathy says that she is proud of Kyle, and all her achievements, adding that their mother would be, too. It means a great deal to Kyle to hear the words, but Kathy’s actions contradict those sentiments.

Rinna Takes All

Conveniently, Rinna is on the way over to Kyle’s house. Kathy makes the same jokey apology to Rinna, but Rinna is all business. First of all, Kathy is wearing the same shirt that she was wearing the night of her verbal tirade, which aggravates Rinna.

Kathy apologizes and denies having a temper. Rinna wants to know what made Kathy say such terrible things. She wants Kathy to take responsibility for her actions and get some help. Kathy told Rinna, “I feel you can be very unkind, too.” Then she explains how a good friend is dying of cancer and starts crying.

After a while, Rinna tells Kathy that she isn’t going to get away with gaslighting her. In her confessional, Kathy brought up how Rinna became physical with her sister, Kim Richards, in Amsterdam.

Survivor 43 Episode 2 Recap: To Bead Or Not To Bead…That Is The Question

Survivor 43 continues its strong start this week, following up last week’s two-hour Premiere Episode with a fun and unpredictable 90-minute Episode 2. The additional time is important this early in the season, as it gives us a chance to become more invested in this group of contestants, and it allows the producers even more room for character-building and story-telling.

But sometimes, characters on Survivor don’t need any help at all being “built,” they simply are “characters” already in real life. This week’s episode belonged once again to Cody Assenmacher (just love that last name), who I pointed out last week as being the one person that really was putting out some “future All-Star” vibes. He just seems unique…he may be an amalgam of other players we’ve seen on the show before, but you can’t quite put your finger on what makes him so incredibly compelling. Sure, every episode of Season 43 so far has now featured a shot of the “LIVIN” tattoo on Cody’s ass(enmacher), which is a trend I could do without. But for every “cliff-diving” segment they’ve given him thus far, they’ve also shown him to be a savvy strategic and social player. His “Beware Challenge’ journey this week is an instant classic Survivor “moment,” a sequence that will go down in history and become even more legendary the further that Cody goes in the game. And the move also has “new era” written all over it, with the Survivor producers saving the reveal of his accomplishment until during the reading of the votes, for maximum dramatic effect (a structural move that would never have happened in past “old era” Survivor).

Of course I’m referring to Cody‘s personal mission impossible. It all started with his Red Tribe getting cremated during this week’s Immunity Challenge, with Nneka taking most of the blame for their team loss. It was Nneka after all, who didn’t even remove one of the puzzle pieces from the bag that she was responsible for, and she did struggle noticeably much worse than the rest of her tribe during the earlier, physical portion of the challenge. But we were reminded that Dwight lost his vote last episode, by choosing to risk it and losing out – by chance – on the Immunity Idol that ultimately ended up with Gabler over at the Yellow Tribe. Dwight’s vote not in play, that means that a three-person majority could control the vote at the Red Tribe’s first Tribal Council, and Cody, Jesse and Nneka all seemed locked in to vote out Justine.

But then Cody went out and found a “Beware Advantage.” Remember, these contestants have now seen Seasons 41 and 42, so Cody had to have known that if he decided to open it up, that he was probably going to lose his vote until he was able to pull off some sort of ridiculous challenge or mission. In the last two seasons, the tasks would not have even been possible to complete before heading to Tribal that same night, as they required the players to say ridiculous sayings out loud during the challenges, in order for their Idols to activate. But hey, LIVIN. The go-lucky adventurer was not thinking in that moment how important his vote was, or what damage it may do. He was going to open that thing up and read it and that’s exactly what he did.

What came next was nothing short of amazing. How the heck was he going to pull off getting beads – willingly given to him – from each of his tribe mates? Cody‘s ally, Jesse, one of the other stand-out fan-favorites thus far this season, brought up the palm frond hat that Cody had made earlier…those beads would be a lovely addition to them and the perfect cover. Even this idea alone had to feel like absolutely striking gold for Jeff Probst and the producers…they could not have possibly anticipated a player making a palm frond hat, and must have wondered exactly how a player would have to have gone about collecting these needed beads to form the Immunity Necklace. But Cody provided that gold. Even with the idea in motion, it seemed impossible that Cody would be able to get all of these beads in the short time before Tribal. But he needed to. It was drawing rocks time at Tribal if he didn’t figure it out.

The viewer headed off to Tribal thinking that Cody was able to score all of the beads except for Noelle‘s…and that we were headed to rocks. Imagine how boring it would have been had they shown him getting all the beads ahead of time? We, as viewers, are not used to being hoodwinked – blindsided, if you will – ourselves. But oh does it feel good when done the right way. Tonight’s episode was the right way, a reveal that didn’t seem like a manipulation, and one that was appreciated for the drama and tension that it brought.

On the receiving end of this move was “spider queen” Justine, whose real blunder seemed to be her inability to connect with Jesse. She was correct in saying that Jesse was in the middle and was the “swing” vote, but the way she approached him about it was a bit less than cordial. Big kudos to Jesse on the move, because Justine could have definitely developed into a larger strategic threat, and he made the move to serve his own game, despite what his “Island Spouse” Dwight might have thought about it. Dwight on the other hand was also blindsided by the move, and I know emotions run high out there, especially right after a Tribal blindside, but I don’t really like his “we’ll talk about this later” comment to Jesse on the way out. Like, Jesse is in trouble and needs a talking to? Dwight is the one that is in trouble now, and instead of trying to repair his relationship with Jesse, it looks like next week’s episode teases that Dwight is instead going to stay bitter towards Jesse. He and Noelle are both in big trouble as they find themselves now on the wrong side of the numbers, and with Cody sporting his one-of-a-kind, beaded palm frond Immunity Crown.

We didn’t get much insight this week into the Blue Tribe (though we did get another great flashback sequence giving us a bit more information on Geo, and how Geo and Ryan might be a formidable two-some). The other drama this week was over at the Yellow Tribe, with the spotlight mostly still on Gabler. Yes, he’s older than the rest of the contestants this season, but the show went out of its way to show the physical toll it was taking on Gabler specifically. Was this a bit of foreshadowing? Or just an attempt to throw us off Gabler being a post-merge player? His tribe – well, mostly Elie – also had issues with him taking out their newly won fishing spear, and they all secretly pondered the power of the Idol that they all know he possesses. Well, they went past the point of “pondering” when Jeanine actually went into Gabler’s personal bag to track down and re-read the parchment that came with the Idol. Does the Idol have power for the first two OVERALL Tribal Councils? If so, then Gabler’s Idol would now be useless. Or, could it be used for the first two Tribals that Gabler is actually at? They clarified it for us that it is actually the latter, meaning that Gabler is indeed safe at his next Tribal Council…should he choose to play it (and why wouldn’t he? He is Gabler after all!). Jeanine and Elie seem to cocky to realize that they really did make what seems to be a boneheaded move in voting out Morriah last week…the three guys, Gabler, Sami and Owen, may not talk a lot of game but they do know that they need to stick together strategically, which only spells trouble for the girls, who seem to be severely underestimating each of the guys, albeit in different ways. As next week’s preview shows, Sami tattles on Jeanine to Gabler about rifling through his personal belongings, so things are about to get a bit uglier over at Team Yellow.

Episode Take-Away: What can you say about Cody? About this “new era” of Survivor? First of all, I wish that each week could be 90-minutes at minimum…I just love having that feeling of watching Survivor episodes sort of “breathe.” Cody is a big personality, but so far has avoided becoming a big target, which is impressive. Tucked underneath the big shield he provides though, is Jesse and Nneka. They could be a formidable and “under-the-radar” pair should they go far in the game. I just love when Survivor starts off each season by sending different tribes to Tribal Council, so we can get enamored with each of the tribe’s dynamics as soon into the season as possible. Nothing personal, but here’s hoping the Blue Tribe meets up with Jeff Probst at the end of next week’s episode! If they don’t and it is one of the other tribes, I think that Elie or Jeanine could be in serious trouble at Yellow, and Dwight could be the next target at Red. Of course, this is Survivor, and there are challenges to be had, and other advantages and twists to be discovered between now and then. But so far I am getting a really good vibe from Season 43: No clear-cut villains, but so many people to root for, and that’s really all you can hope for.

Jim Edmonds Marries Kortnie O’Connor In Italian Destination Wedding

You know that they say: fourth time’s a charm. Real Housewives of Orange County’s Jim Edmonds just got married for the fourth time this week, and he’s hoping this is the one that sticks. Although walking down the aisle isn’t new to Jim, he and his latest bride, Kortnie O’Connor, spared no expense. The former baseball player and Real Househusband of Orange County held a destination wedding in Italy to tie the knot, and People covered all of the details.

Kortnie and Jim got engaged in July of last year, just three months after he finalized his divorce from former Real Housewife Meghan King Edmonds. At the time of their engagement, Kortnie acknowledged that this wasn’t her fiance’s first time at bat. She told People, “As I’m sure everyone knows, this isn’t Jim’s first time around. So we just wanted to make it about enjoying everybody — all of our close friends and family. An adventure for everybody to enjoy, not another wedding in the church.”

Over a year later, it sounds like quite an adventure was had. Jim, Kortnie, and their 32 guests traveled to Lake Como, Italy, and held their ceremony at a 19th-century villa. After saying, “I do,” Jim and Kortnie took a sunset boat ride around the lake, snapping pictures while their guests enjoyed a cocktail hour. Later, they dined on Italian food, and a DJ took them into the night with some tunes.

“This was truly a dream wedding in a beautiful location surrounded by some of the most important people in our lives,” Kortnie said about the wedding, which was her first. “It was more than I could have ever imagined.”

Although Jim was just served with a temporary restraining order from his ex-wife Meghan earlier this month, he was over the moon and feeling optimistic about his wedding ceremony with Kortnie. He said, “The best part of the wedding is I now get to spend the rest of my life with Kortnie.” He continued, “For the first time in my life, I finally understand true happiness.”

Good for Jim, who’s 52, for finally understanding true happiness. For Kortnie’s sake, let’s hope this marriage goes smoother than the last few.
