Married At First Sight Recap: Back To Our Future

It seems like every year Married At First Sight allows one person to essentially be mistreated and/or bullied by their partner. I don’t know about anyone else, but I am uncomfortable watching the dynamic between one of the couples. I don’t know if production just doesn’t care or they encourage it for TV drama. As much as I like some good gossip, watching Binh cower around his wife doesn’t make me feel good.

Having just passed the one month milestone in their marriages, the husbands and wives open up further to their spouses.  They return to their roots and share more about their past. The couples work to build a stronger future together. Let’s get straight to the recap.

Morgan and Binh

The guys and girls meet separately to talk about their experiences. Binh and Morgan share the state of their marriage after he confided in Justin. They are officially separated after she decided to move out. It’s interesting, the men (and me) don’t think he did anything wrong. Apparently, she can create a narrative about him to the women, but he can’t confide in just Justin? The women rally around Morgan and decide to crash the men’s gathering.

Upon arriving, Morgan immediately shares her feelings with the group and accuses Binh of lying and betraying her. Nate is the only one to stand up for him, by questioning her aggressive demeanor. Binh is so passive that it is not a good look to gaslight and bully him in front everyone. I honestly think they are better off divorcing. This relationship has become very toxic. He literally lost 7 pounds from stress due to this situation!

Binh and Morgan meet with Dr. Pepper Schwartz to discuss their issues. He immediately takes accountability for his actions. But Morgan doesn’t seem to see anything she has done wrong and plays the victim. Does she not realize she may not be the easiest person to talk to, especially about something relating to herself? Also, ever since he revealed his self-esteem issues, she has gotten even more brutal in her approach.

Lindy and Miguel

Lindy admits that she struggles with distinguishing control from help while talking to Dr. Pepper. She is still unsure of how to be a good wife. Miguel quickly reassures her that he thinks she is doing a good job. Later, Miguel reveals to Lindy that he loves her out of the blue. Of course, she happily returns the same sentiment. Well, I definitely didn’t see that coming. I thought with some of Miguel’s comments he would be one of the last men to say it, if at all.

Stacia and Nate

Stacia admits that she moves faster than Nate.  Initially she expected him to match her speed. Nate agrees he has issues opening up and now is actively trying to make his wife feel heard. Dr. Pepper gives them some sage advice on how to progress and give each other grace. Later,
Nate and Stacia read letters to their younger self. She is surprised by how much he is opening up during their conversation. I guess Nate either is feeling more comfortable with his wife or he truly wants to show her, he is trying. I really hope this ends up as a happy ending, but there is something that is just telling me that everything isn’t as it seems here.

 

Alexis and Justin

When Dr. Pepper visits, Alexis reveals that Justin‘s dog trainer told them his dog still is displaying aggressive behavior. They made the decision to not allow Justin’s dog back in their home. Obviously this is a difficult and emotional decision for him since he has had him for years. Alexis reveals that she has issues being vulnerable and putting herself in a position to be hurt. I think everyone can see that is the case. But, they both are actively working on their individual and joint issues.

Justin shows Alexis where he grew up. Through their conversation, she gets a better understanding of why he is so hard on himself. His 19 year old brother raised him when he was only 13 years old. When he had questions, he was constantly told to figure things out himself. Alexis quickly connects this to why he gets so upset when he makes a mistake. Listening to Justin made me sad. Instead of describing this situation as difficult, he believes it taught him how to be independent. Alexis shares how her love of sports and how it made her into the woman she is today.

Krysten and Mitch

Krysten opens up to Dr. Pepper about overcompensating in her marriage to make Mitch happy. She still feels insecure about him telling her he wasn’t interested initially. But Mitch claims that he genuinely wants to show up in his marriage & not allow fear to get in the way. I don’t know if Mitch can be what his wife needs, but I guess we will have to wait and see.

Mitch shares a walk down memory lane by taking Krysten through his life in pictures. During his stories, she gets a better understanding of why he is the way he is. She even wishes she knew this information ahead of time because she would have been more patient. Sigh! I don’t know how much more patient she could be with him. Let’s be real, Krysten has given Mitch a lot of grace.

Kyle Richards And Kathy Hilton Share Cryptic Messages On Social Media After Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills Reunion Taping

I’m going to take a stab in the dark and assume that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion was a rough one. With all the drama between bots attacking the kids of the cast and leaked text messages, I think we all knew something big was going to go down. And Andy Cohen teased as much. Yes Andy is always going to upsell a reunion. But this feels different.

But if there is any tension to be had, it will most certainly come from the Richards sister. We haven’t gotten to it yet. But Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton clearly had some major issues this season. It looks like it will start playing out on their cast trip to Aspen. And the trailer also showed Kyle sobbing to Kathy, saying she thinks she hates her. A smug Lisa Rinna threatens Kathy, saying she won’t get away with what she did to Kyle. Whatever that is!

Now Reality Blurb is reporting that the two took to Instagram to air out some thoughts following the taping of the RHOBH reunion. Kyle posted to her Instagram Stories, “Learn to be okay with people not knowing your side of the story. You have nothing to prove to anyone.” Kathy wrote on her own Story, “Sometimes we create our own heartbreaks through expectation.”

Another slide of Kathy’s was obviously directed towards someone, although we don’t know who. We just have to guess, as usual. Her second slide read, “Some people are committed to misunderstanding you (no matter what you do) because you trigger something inside of them. It’s just a projection and an inability to take accountability. Pay them no mind and keep moving forward.”

Kathy’s two daughters, Paris Hilton and Nicky Rothschild, got in on the drama on social media as well. Just prior to the reunion, Paris started liking some seriously shady posts on Twitter. After one user wrote about Kyle shutting down Kathy’s tequila plug in Aspen, Paris responded, “So unkind.”

Paris then went on to like multiple posts talking smack on Kyle. One in particular called Kyle a “sh–ty sister.” The fan wrote, “Kyle was so clearly trying to sabotage Kathy’s tequila scene. The show has served as a decade-long advertisement to The Agency, but God forbid Kathy takes a moment to promote her daughter’s business. What a sh-tty sister.” Whoever wrote this is not wrong!

For Nicky’s part, she liked and then un-liked a post about Dorit Kemsley. It read, “We’ve sat through several [Dorit] fashion lines, many Kyle store openings, two Rinna Beauty ‘launches’ and a Rinna Rose party. We can give Kathy [five] minutes to talk about her tequila.” Another true statement!

There’s no doubt the sisters are facing trouble in their recently mended relationship. Kyle admitted on an episode of Watch What Happens Live that the reunion would be “difficult with my sister.” She added, “We went through some hard times on the show.”

Dolores Catania Says Teresa Giudice And Melissa Gorga’s Feud Is “At A High Stage Of Bad”

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice finally wed the man of her dreams, Luis “Louie” Ruelas in August of 2022. Teresa’s brother, Joe Gorga, and his wife, Melissa Gorga, decided not to attend the nuptials.

There was some fiery drama during filming of the Season 13 RHONJ finale, which took place days before the wedding. Reportedly, a rumor that Melissa cheated on Joe was brought up on camera, igniting the argument. There has always been tension between Joe, Teresa, Melissa, and Teresa’s ex-husband, “Juicy” Joe Giudice. Remember the infamous Christening fight? Oof.

Joe shaded Teresa with a post on his Instagram Story during her wedding weekend. “Blood doesn’t make you family,” he wrote over a photo of Melissa’s family. Teresa gave a shout-out to “chosen family” at her wedding reception.

Teresa excluded Melissa from her bridal party. Melissa was reportedly asked to be a bridesmaid later but opted not to participate. Teresa asked Jennifer Aydin and Dolores Catania, who both accepted. Dolores, who is one of Teresa’s longtime friends, should have been asked in the first place. Just saying!

Teresa shared her feelings about the Gorgas skipping the festivities on her new podcast, titled Namaste B$tches. “Listen, I found out a few days before my wedding that they weren’t coming and I’m totally fine with it,” Teresa explained. “I’m all about good energy, and whoever wanted to be at my wedding was there.”

As for Melissa, she would like to put the wedding debacle behind her. Good luck with that!

Dolores told Page Six where the feud between Teresa, Joe, and Melissa stands now. “It’s definitely at a high stage of bad,” Dolores stated. “I wouldn’t say this is terminal yet, if I were to speak in medical terms. I’ve seen people come back from a lot worse,” Dolores remarked.

So, does Dolores believe that Melissa supposedly cheated on Joe? “I would never believe such a thing,” she said, adding that she finds the family tension “very sad.”

“They had a very small family to begin with and now all they have is each other. They weren’t raised to not get along,” Dolores explained. “They weren’t raised to not have their families together.”
Dolores is “praying” that Teresa and the Gorgas can repair their tattered relationship for their children, who are cousins. “They have beautiful children, both of them,” she commented. “And those children should be able to be together.”

Dolores stated, “When things are emotional between people — as they are right now — you stay out of it, away from it, let things calm down, and then hopefully they’ll come back together at some point.”

She continued, “They’re different versions of themselves right now. I think it’s better that they are away from each other.” But are they different versions? It sounds like more of the same family drama–just pumped up.

Dolores added, “This is years of things happening between them that just finally came to a head, a real head. To be honest, I think they’re both at peace with whatever this is.” The big question is, will Dolores take Teresa’s side in the feud?

“Never, ever, ever will I pick a side amongst friends unless something is done to one of them that is so egregious,” Dolores remarked. “I love them all.” Viewers know that Dolores is Teresa’s ride-or-die, and extremely loyal. Period.

The Bachelor Alum Amanda Stanton Marries Michael Fogel

Former Bachelor contestant Amanda Stanton has found her person at last!

The California native wed her boyfriend of two years, Michael Fogel, in an intimate ceremony in Santa Ynez, California, on Sept. 2. Several of her  fellow Bachelor Nation alums were in attendance, including Lauren Bushnell Lane, Andi Dorfman, Emily Ferguson and Raven and Adam Gottschalk, People reports.

“It’s so special to make this commitment,” says Amanda, who got engaged to the real estate entrepreneur last December. “I’m so excited and happy.”

Amanda was a contestant on Ben Higgins‘s season of The Bachelor in 2016.

Don’t we all remember Ben visiting Amanda‘s hometown during his season and taking her and her two small girls to the beach for a picnic? This was the moment where Ben decided that Amanda might not be the right girl for him. We all saw the panic on his face, when he got a taste of what it would be like to be an instant dad, as both toddlers, exhausted from a day in the sun, cried the entire way home in the car until they finally fell asleep back at their mom’s. Poor Ben couldn’t get out of there fast enough!

Following her time on the Bachelor, Amanda then joined Season 3 of Bachelor in Paradise that same year and got engaged to Andi Dorfman‘s ex Josh Murray, but their relationship didn’t last into the New Year.

The next summer, Amanda returned to the beach in Sayulita, Mexico for Season 4 of Bachelor in Paradise and started a romance with Robby Hayes (who later dated Scheana Shay from Vanderpump Rules — he gets around), though that relationship also ended  after just a few months.

When it came to her nuptials, “I wanted everything to be very timeless,” says Amanda. “It’s an elevated modern garden wedding, very simple.”

Amanda‘s two daughters from her first marriage to Nick Buonfiglio, Kinsley and Charlie, now 10 and 8, were included in the wedding party.

“Kins is my maid of honor,” Amanda says. “She likes to help me with everything. And Charlie is the flower girl. They are both very happy with their positions.”

Amanda says she’s looking forward to having a blended family with Michael.

Kandi Burruss Cousin Has Been Shot By Co-Worker At Kandi’s Restaurant

Kandi Burruss’ cousin, Chef Melvin Jones, has been allegedly shot during a run-in at Blaze Steak and Seafood restaurant in Atlanta.

According to People, there was an argument that went down at the popular hang-out that quickly turned life-threatening. Due to Kandi’s notoriety gained through years of being a powerhouse in the music industry, and a fan favorite of Real Housewives of Atlanta, she found success in opening several restaurants across the ATL. Blaze Steak and Seafood is an upscale eatery that is owned with husband Todd Tucker.

Reports allege that a shooting occurred as a result of two Blaze employees’ verbal altercation. What the argument was about has not been shared, but what is known is that Chef Melvin suffered a gunshot to his arm. The employee that did the shooting has not been identified and allegedly fled the scene immediately after the assault. Atlanta Police are currently on the hunt for the assailant.

It was at one of Kandi’s other restaurants, Old Lady Gang Southern Cuisine, that we got to know Melvin. He appeared on Kandi’s RHOA spinoff, Kandi & the Gang, earlier this year. We learned then that Melvin has strong ties to the whole family– he is extremely tight with Kandi, close with his grandmother, Aunt Bertha, and shared an apartment with his cousin Patrick Dallas, which were all featured on the hit show.

Back in 2020, a patron actually entered Kandi’s OLG restaurant and shot another guest out of nowhere, also causing harm to two others. Thankfully, the injuries were not life-threatening, and all victims eventually recovered. The same seems to be the case for Chef Melvin, who took to social media to share photos of his injury which appears to be alleviated at this point.

Big Brother 24 Houseguest Michael Bruner “Doesn’t Regret” Throwing His Ally Brittany Hoopes Under The Bus

If there’s one thing Big Brother 24 houseguest Michael Bruner knew how to do, it was give us viewers a show. Although Michael didn’t start the most drama in the house during his stay, his exit sure did.

Michael was a competition beast on BB24. He set a new record for winning the most veto competitions in a single season. Earning 6, he beat BB6 player Janelle Pierzina who held the record for over 10 years with a total of 5. With this type of performance, Michael is sure to be back for future seasons of Big Brother. He’s definitely an all-star. Keeping his love for the game and the fact that he was a superfan hidden was more of a struggle for Michael, but maybe his love for the game also helped him secure so many wins.

On this past Thursday’s double eviction episode, he was the outgoing HOH who put Terrance Higgins on the block and ultimately sent him out the door. But during a turn of events, Matt Turner won the upcoming HOH and put Alyssa Snider and Brittany Hoopes on the block. Everyone competed in the veto competition and although Michael tried to secure a win, he just couldn’t do it.

Monte Taylor had the power of veto, used it to save Alyssa, and Turner then nominated Michael in his place. Michael pretty much knew his fate in the game was secured during that moment. It’s smart gameplay from the other players in the house and the worst-case scenario for Michael because he wasn’t able to properly campaign.

The house sent Michael packing and he left making his mark. “Everyone stay seated there’s one thing I’d like to say,” he said. After that, he ran towards the door and left without even a peep. But before that, he shook the house up during his final speech to the houseguests. During which he threw his number one ally, Brittany, under the bus. I mean, really shoved her under and didn’t give it a second thought.

Basically implying that she’s two-faced and can’t be trusted — he was fighting to show the houseguests he’s the guy you should be saving. Brittany was stunned, to say the least. However, Micahel is defending his actions in his latest interview with Entertainment Weekly. “I love Brittany to death. I don’t regret it. I was on the block. I knew I was probably gonna go home and would’ve regretted it forever if I did not try everything to stay in the house,” he said.

“All of the information I shared there in the living room, people had been talking about it for the past couple of days. It wasn’t like I exposed any new information or things that people were unaware of,” he continued. “I was trying to save myself in the moment, and as a Big Brother super fan, I hope she also understands if she had tried to blow my game up to save herself, I would’ve understood. And I hope that she can understand the same for me. But I definitely feel bad about it, but I don’t regret it,” he finished.

One thing about it… Michael is a true superfan who can admit that even he knows he was the bigger threat in the game and was trying to do anything he could to remove the target off his back and move it onto hers.

I hope Brittany isn’t too upset with Michael when she sees him for the first time again. Those two together could really make a power duo in future seasons.

Kyle Richards Doesn’t Understand Why Erika Jayne Won’t Acknowledge Victims; Calls Her Behavior “Aggressive”

On this season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, we have seen a lot of Erika Jayne and her drinking. She admitted before the season began that she was taking prescribed medication and mixing it with alcohol to cope with her legal troubles. It has also been playing out during the season while she has tried to defend some of her questionable actions.

So far, her castmates, like the Fox Force Five, have fought tooth and nail to protect her. Lisa Rinna even dragged her out cursing after Erika got into it with Crystal Kung Minkoff and Garcelle Beauvais. They wanted to know why she wouldn’t return a pricey set of earrings to benefit the victims of her estranged husband Tom Girardi’s alleged misdeeds. What ended up happening was Erika going off the rails. And one of her fiercest allies, Kyle Richards, finally seemed to have enough.

As reported by Reality Blurb, Kyle made her feelings known on a recent episode of the RHOBH: After Show. Kyle explained, “I just don’t understand not being able to say, ‘Yes, there are victims. I feel terrible about the victims. They should all be paid and taken care of. I haven’t personally done anything, but I acknowledge that these victims exist.'” She then added, “That’s the part that I struggle with, not understanding why she can’t say that.”

But then Kyle offered a few excuses for Erika’s behavior. She noted that Erika “was not in the place to have a calm conversation” and became “aggressive.” Kyle continued, “She feels like she’s in the fight of her life, and she doesn’t like to feel like these women that she spends all this time with are not backing her. But it’s just hard sometimes. It’s very hard because it’s all very confusing, and as much as we want to, there are just certain things you’re like, ‘This just doesn’t make any sense.’”

Just a little question here – why would the whole cast blindly have her back? Especially Crystal and Garcelle, who Erika hasn’t exactly forged a relationship with. While Erika is busy kissing up to Diana Jenkins and relying on Rinna and Kyle to have her back, her other castmates have some real questions.

Sutton Stracke, who Erika has repeatedly gone after for those questions, also appeared on the show with her own take. Said Sutton of Erika,“She cannot use the word victim. [Tom] won the court cases, but they didn’t get the money. They were already victims. He won the court case. He did his job. It’s so simple.”

Lisa Rinna Reveals She’s Been “Threatened” But She Will Tell Her “Truth” At Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills Reunion

After announcing that she would not be posting about the show on social media, I think Lisa Rinna made good on that promise for one whole day. Now she’s back to give us a preview of what to expect from her at the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion.

As reported by Page Six, Lisa admitted on her Instagram Stories that she’s been on the receiving end of some serious social media hate. She wrote, “I have been ‘threatened’ for the past 4 months by ‘people’ basically trying to scare me, trying to ruin my credibility, trying to call me a liar, creating things that aren’t true and don’t exist, but guess what? Today we’re going to sit down and we are going to talk about it all.” She added, “I will tell my truth. And yes you better believe I’m gonna talk about it all.”

Now I dislike Rinna as much as the next person, but threats are never acceptable. Not for the kids of housewives. And not for the housewives themselves, even if they are adults. Rinna didn’t clarify who was threatening her, but she did allude to it being related to text messages she shared that were allegedly from Kathy Hilton.

The alleged text from Kathy read, “please not say anything we discussed.” The message continued, “Otherwise, It will make a huge scene that everyone gets dragged into. No bueano [sic]. Please it goes further than you would want to know. Silence is golden. I am staying silent.” Rinna captioned the screen grabbed texts, “threat, for sure!” Later that day, Rinna also posted a video of her dancing and wrote, “I pay them all in Dust.”

Rinna has found herself on the losing end of this season thanks to some of her social media behavior. After Garcelle Beauvais’ teenage son was attacked online by bots, the whole cast rallied to support Garcelle’s family. They all reposted Bravo’s statement  condemning the online trolling. But a few days later, Lisa wiped her social media clean of not only that post, but almost everything else RHOBH related. She even unfollowed most of her castmates.

Prior to that, she complained (again on Instagram) that producers didn’t give her enough airtime when she was grieving the loss of her mother. Last month, she also posted a photo of herself from her soap opera days walking a red carpet. She captioned it, “I was Lisa F–king Rinna before HW and I’ll be Lisa F–king Rinna After.”

Tom Schwartz Says Raquel Leviss Has “So Much Depth And Character”

Things are looking up for Season 10 of Vanderpump Rules.

When we last left the SURvers at the Season 9 reunion, James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss surprised everyone and announced that they were splitting up. James was quickly rumored to be in a new relationship, while Raquel focused on moving out, moving on, and moving up.

Recently, Raquel has been connected to two men familiar with the world of Bravo and reality TV. Of course, you’ve heard that she was accused of spending a little too much time with Garcelle Beauvais’ married son, Oliver Saunders. And then there’s that whole “making out with Tom Schwartz at Scheana Shay’s wedding to Brock Davies” thing.

While Raquel’s name has been cleared for her time spent with Oliver, there’s still the question of where hooking up with your castmate’s ex-husband falls in the Girl Code Handbook. (And while we’re at it, where does making out with Tommy Boy fall in the Self-Respect Handbook? I was rooting for this Bambi-Eyed-Babe!!)

According to sources at the wedding, some heavy drinking led to some heavy PDA between Raqy and Tom. Said the insider, “Prior to the actual ceremony, the day of, I saw Tom and Raquel heavily making out in the cenote, which is an underwater cave. Several other people did too as it was not that private of an area.”

Until further notice, nothing has been confirmed. But the internet is vast, and the Pump Rules fans are ruthless. According to Page Six, an old episode of Scheana’s podcast from about a month before her wedding has resurfaced. During the pod, she interviews Tom who spent a good portion of his time boasting about Raquel. Interesting…

Bling Empire Season 3 Gets Official Premiere Date

It’s been a few months since season 2 of Bling Empire ended. But before it even finished airing, Netflix was hard at work filming season 3. So what can we expect?

As reported by E! News, season 3 will premiere on October 5th. And according to the teaser, Bling Empire is picking up right where it left off from season 2. Anna Shay will receive a “shocking visit from someone in the past,” which viewers noted was Andrew Gray. If you forgot all about Andrew, you were probably blocking him out. He’s the former boyfriend of cast member Kelly Mi Li, who had a hard enough time getting rid of him. The two dated on and off for 5 years but seemingly broke up for good in March of 2021.

Kane Lim, who spent last season being a pot-stirrer, “books a major fashion campaign and surprisingly starts a whole new career.” As for his one-time best friend, Kevin Kreider, he’s rekindling “an old romance.” After being hung up on Kim Lee, I can’t wait to find out who it is.

Naturally, the seasons long rivalry between Anna and Christine Chiu continues. The show’s description teases, “Nearly everyone gets pulled even deeper into the feud between Christine and Anna. How can they bring peace?”

Photos from back in February showed Christine shopping for castle in France, bringing Kevin along with her. They also attended Paris Fashion Week together. Were they there to support Kane? And according to Christine, season 3 will be lighter than past seasons. She said back in May, “There’s so much more and there’s light at the end of the tunnel. There’s light in the form of international trips that are filled with heart and laughter and bling. It was a rocky period. Season 2 is a rocky period and we kind of get our footing back in Season 2. So, to be continued…”

Last season’s newcomer Dorothy Wang had a much different take in February. She revealed, “All the drama that you see [in Season 2], it really continues to intensify and heat up. The feuds get feudier [sic] and there’s a lot of deep-rooted things that come out.” She added, “A lot of lines are drawn and a lot of friendships are ended.”

Erika Jayne Reacts To Tom Girardi Allegedly Wiring $300K To His Mistress

It takes a lot to shock Erika Jayne. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is best known for her shock value in everything she does. Turns out, her estranged husband, Tom Girardi, is the one leaving her shook. And not because of the billions of lawsuits against them.

As reported by Page Six, Erika recently learned that Tom allegedly gave his mistress, Tricia A. Bigelow, $300K in misappropriated funds. The money was supposedly used for a beach condo during their alleged affair.

Erika took to Instagram to express her surprise. She wrote, “Wow. I knew about jewelry, shopping sprees, and plastic surgery but this really threw me for a loop.” The picture she posted with the caption is from a new Los Angeles Times article. The headline reads, “A judge’s affair with Tom Girardi, a beachfront condo and a $300,000 wire from his firm.”

Court documents obtained by the publication claim that Tom used settlement funds form his victims to give Tricia the money. The wire transfer took place in 2015 to help her buy an oceanfront condo in Santa Monica. Those funds were purportedly owed to cancer victims and residents of a polluted Inland Empire Community.

Tricia’s attorney, Alan Jackson, maintained in the piece that the former judge didn’t know Tom was supposedly using client money. He insisted that the transfer “was NOT marked as coming from a [Girardi Keese] trust account.” Alan went on to say claim that Tom “never shared anything with her regarding the source of any gifts.”

According to the report, Erika was only made aware of the large monetary gift when she was in court earlier this month. She stated, “F—k me,” then her team told her not to curse. She added in disbelief, “No way. No way.”

But this isn’t the first time Erika has brought up Tom’s alleged affair(s). One month after she filed for divorce, she called out Tricia on social media. She wrote on Instagram, “This is Justice Tricia A. Bigelow. She was f–king my husband Tom Girardi and he was paying her Saks bill and paying for her plastic surgery.”

Then in a 2021 episode of RHOBH, Erika told her stunned castmates that Tom had been cheating on her for years. She remarked, “I knew a lot because it was so hard to hide and, you know, he was sloppy.”

It’s worth noting that the Los Angeles Times is the same publication that Erika previously slammed for writing an expose on the downfall of the Girardis. It was featured on RHOBH when she left a cast trip early, claiming she was blindsided by it’s release. Erika referred to the article as a “hit piece”.

Top 5 Takeaways From Real Housewives Of Atlanta Season 14 Reunion Part 1

My favorite part of the Real Housewives has arrived! It’s reunion time. Such is the case for Real Housewives of Atlanta, season 14. After a long day of football at my house (yep, it’s back), a reunion is the palate cleaners that I need. The ladies all show up in hot pink to a Jamaican themed set. Complete with exotic birds who aren’t close enough to poop on anyone’s food. Let’s dive in to my takeaways from the reunion.

The Fashions

Ok, to me, everyone showed out. Minus Sanya Richards-Ross. What on earth was she wearing? It was like a combo of two dresses and neither worked. She had some kind of sports bra on one side and a mesh bedazzled overlay on the other. It was just as confusing as her issues with Drew Sidora, but we will get to that. I loved Marlo Hampton’s dress with he overflowing tulle. It’s definitely something I would expect from Marlo. What I didn’t expect was for her to wear her hair how she does all the time – pin straight and parted down the middle. Could she have at least gotten an updo and some showy earrings?

Sheree Whitfield looked stunning with blonde highlights and a formfitting dress, boobs on full display. Kenya Moore came with a lion’s mane of curls and I loved it. Drew had a thigh slit that was almost full exposure when she came on set. And Kandi Burruss rounded things off with a velvet and bejeweled ensemble. All in all, a fine showing.

No Bones About It

There seems to be an ongoing fight for who is the Bone Collector now. Sheree might be the original, but producers putting up a shady bone count of all the ladies in their playback montage showed that many bones were collected from all. Although no one seems to want to claim the title. Certainly not Sanya, who said she doesn’t want to fill Sheree’s shoes when it comes to bringing all the tea.

Kandi believes that Drew is the new Bone Collector and Drew uses that moment to try and shade Sanya. But much like all of Drew’s reads, it falls flat. So flat that the producers cut to a silent couch and the birds chirping. Just like crickets would be chirping if they had them. Can Drew please get some help if she’s going to stay on the show? I can’t take much more of the cringe when she tries to land a dig.

Drew Came To Play…Checkers Instead Of Chess

Speaking of, Drew was ready to rumble, even if her delivery is tragic. When it comes to her strained relationship with Sanya, all Drew can say is that Sanya is a great runner. Host Andy Cohen admits that he was bummed to see the fallout between Drew and Sanya. Which if I’m being honest, I don’t truly understand to this day. Sanya is accusing Drew of betraying her trust and Drew is accusing Sanya of being a clout chaser.

But Sanya maintained that 1) she doesn’t need clout (debatable) and 2) that she was up front with Drew about when she talked behind her back. But Drew is unwilling to move on. Sanya then goes on to say that the fun, jovial Drew that she first became friends with disappeared when she got around the women. That Drew was all about fighting and and being confrontational. Which is the only way she is going to keep her job so what is the problem here? Sanya is showing what a rookie she is and it looks like she’s in over her head.

Drew goes on to fight with Sheree over Drop It With Drew and how she represents health and wellness. She asserts that she has had 3 kids (ok, this is news to me!) and a hysterectomy so therefore, she is the perfect person to represent Drop It With Drew. I’m not seeing the correlation, but that happens a lot with Drew. Once again, we cut to birds chirping, which is what she deserves, quite frankly.

Sheree’s Big Return

Most of the season revolved around Sheree and her return to the show. She By Sheree dominated her story line and even garnered more airtime than her tumultuous break up with Tyrone Prison Bae Gilliams. Sheree admits that she thinks he was using her for camera time. And that he was big mad when she wouldn’t sign off on paperwork to get him that camera time. Oh, and that he sucked in bed. All of the things I wanted to know!

But Sheree is resilient, which I guess you have to be to pursue making a line of joggers for 14 years. Andy makes sure to ask Sheree what’s going on with her website and don’t we all want to know! The reunion is obviously taped before the finale, so Sheree is still blissfully ignorant about what’s to come. And what comes is that her website crashed immediately after launch. When it did come back up, fans were stunned at the nerve of her selling a $150 hoodie. They also noted that a lot of her designs looked very similar to what you can find on Shein. Very similar.

But if you love overpaying for things that Housewives make, you’re still out of luck. While I’m writing this, the She By Sheree website is still down. There’s a note saying that they are excited to refresh and relaunch very soon. So around 2036 then.

All About Marlo

One of the most surprising parts of this season was the look we got into Marlo’s personal life. Even though she’s been a friend of for years, this is her first turn as a housewife. And I was expecting a whole different storyline. Gone was the Marlo that was there to fight and shade her castmates left and right. Instead, we got a softer, more vulnerable Marlo.

She shared everything from her running away from home at the age of 10, to the abuse that she suffered both at home and in the foster care system. Marlo admits that she doesn’t want to be defined and has always wanted to belong. Which she explains to Andy why it was such a big deal for her to get a peach.

What struck me about this was that the rumors of Marlo not being full time have always suggested she didn’t want her private life out there. And all she gave us was her most private life. It seemed like she wanted to be on RHOA all along and confessed that she always felt like she wasn’t good enough when she got passed over.

I’m shocked that Marlo, who is always so full of confidence and bluster, is revealing just how badly she wanted to get that peach. Marlo is understandably emotional during this whole segment and her castmates admit that they didn’t realize how much she had been through. But Kenya isn’t ready to forgive Marlo for hitting her below the belt when bringing up her soon-to-be ex-husband.

It’s a shame because I think Kenya and Marlo have so much in common. They both want love and acceptance but they can’t seem to get there with each other. While I was originally against the idea of more Marlo on RHOA, maybe another season is what they need. Because an alliance between those two would be what the fans truly deserve.

While many people are trying to fit in their final Summer adventures, reality TV fans are busy enjoying the finale and reunion episodes of their favorite guilty pleasures. The seasonal turnover in programming may be making you feel like there’s a shortage of content enjoy, but grab a PSL and join me for what I’m watching this week!

Streaming – Dated And Related

On Dated and Related contestants spend time in a luxury villa in the South of France looking for love and maybe even a cash prize. The previews for the Netflix dating show are giving Smothered meets Love Island. This series asks if “your sibling could be the key to finding love.” Weird. Essentially, contestants go through various island romances with their brothers or sisters in tow, checking in with them for approval or for tough love. If you’re into birth order theories, confusing family dynamics, or just a bikini-filled dating show, this one might be for you!

Monday – Below Deck Mediterranean

Anchor drama ahoy!! Last weeks episode left us without a preview of what to expect in episode 10, but the adrenaline of watching Storm Smith wrestle with an anchor chain underwater is still with me. Below Deck Mediterranean has it all, but my primary interest is the slow yet steady decline of chief stew Natasha Webb. Does that make me a monster? Maybe. But after that wine pairing buffet fiasco, I’m at peace with it.

Streaming – Selling The OC

I’ll be honest and say that this show was low on my priority list based on the crumbs of intrigue Selling Sunset has offered us over 5 entire seasons. I changed my mind after reading some “negative” google reviews that complained of the instant drama between the Orange County-based Oppenheim group. After watching the early episodes of Selling The OC, I can confirm this one has it all. Evil twin-like figures, a pick-me villain, and of course, impeccable homes on the California coast.

Wednesday – Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

W O W. We have arrived. The mini preview for this week’s Aspen episode could stand alone. There was Kyle Richards screaming “Fuck off I don’t care” at Dorit Kemsley, Dorit defending Erika Jayne to Crystal Kung Minkoff, and Kathy Hilton storming off when Kendall Jenner’s tequila is mentioned on camera instead of her own. I’ll be on my couch wide-eyed with an edible a la Lisa Rinna for this one.

Friday – Love Is Blind ‘After The Altar’

This one is for Love is Blind fans who are curious about where the Season 2 pod romances landed. The special drops on September 16 and will include check-ins with Deepti Vempati, Shayne Jansen, Natalie Lee, Jarette Jones, and Iyanna McNeely. Shake Chatterjee will not be in attendance, despite his claims that the show “begged for him” to come back. Bye then.

Here’s The Reality TV Shows I’m Watching This Week

Welcome back to another week of reality TV picks by yours truly. This is going to be one hell of a week between the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Aspen trip. And Bravo is trying out something new with the debut of Real Girlfriends In Paris. But I’m a sucker for reality TV competition and a good spin-off too. So take a look at what I’m watching for the week.

Sunday – Real Housewives Of Atlanta

I know a lot of fans don’t care for them, but I LIVE for Real Housewives reunions. And it looks like our favorite peaches have forgotten all about the solidarity of the season finale and have the gloves off. Dressed all in pink, they look lovely. But the trailer features Drew Sidora claiming to be an investor in Sheree Whitfield’s long-awaited fashion line. If she is, can she update us on the website, please? Last I checked it still wasn’t working. Some other highlights include host Andy Cohen clowning Tampa Ralph Pittman about his penchant for massages and Kenya Moore calling out Marlo Hampton for using a fake name.

Sunday – Naked And Afraid XL: Frozen

Ok so I have a confession – I love Naked and Afraid. Its now in it’s 14th season but has approximately 100 spin-off versions. Most notably the XL challenges, where the contestants have to survive in the wild for 40 days instead of the usual 21. The latest installment of XL drops 12 challengers in the Rocky Mountains of Montana. Hence, frozen. They have minimal survival items. One being some kind of fur pelt shawl on top, leaving everything else below hanging out. So be prepared to see lots of blurring. The season is already over but Discovery plays the reruns NONSTOP. And I mean NONSTOP. So you can catch up whenever you want.

Monday – Real Girlfriends In Paris

Bravo has decided to switch up the formula on this one a little bit. Seems like a test for the viewers who are tiring of Housewives. Monday’s episode will be the third of what I’m guessing will be a shortened season. As most new Bravo shows are. Real Girlfriends in Paris follows around 6 American twenty somethings who have moved to the City of Lights. They are forging friendships and looking for love. I admit that I might be aged out of a show featuring twenty somethings but Americans in Paris are always an intriguing concept. While the cast is a little, how do you say….vapid, I like seeing how Americans navigate Europe. The good, the bad and the ugly. This might be my newest hate-watch.

Wednesday – Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills

I wouldn’t miss this one for the world. After dragging out the RHOBH cast’s arrival in Aspen, last week’s episode delivered. With a capital D. Erika Jayne went completely off the rail and showed why she is a complete villain. If anyone had even an ounce of sympathy for her situation, that likely went out the window when she told her castmates that she only gives a f— about herself. And not in any context, here. She said it when talking about the orphans and widows that were allegedly bilked out of millions by her estranged husband. But Kathy Hilton is still due for her takedown and this week’s episode might actually give it to us.

Friday – Love Is Blind: After The Altar

Netflix’s hit Love Is Blind is back with the second installment of the show’s spin-off, Love Is Blind: After The Altar. While the first season’s spin-off caught up with contestants two years later, this one jumps right in to the relationships we saw play out on season 2. Sadly, we already know that Iyanna McNeely and Jarrette Jones announced their break up. The only other couple to get married, Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson, recently did the same. Suspicious timing for sure but I’d like to see exactly what went down. So the publicity worked. Fan favorite Deepti Vempati wonders about the possibility of love with castmate Kyle Abrams.
