Katie Thurston Slams The Bachelorette Contestants As “Rude”

Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia probably expected that being co-stars of this season’s The Bachelorette would have its challenges, but it’s turning out to be no bed of roses.

On the July 25th episode, the announcement was made that the men would be divided into two groups (those here for Rachel and those here for Gabby), so that each Bachelorette could focus on developing relationships with those men who are interested in persuing her, as detailed by E! Online.

I think the plan was to avoid more embarrassing revelations like Gabby had experienced on the group date the night before, when at least two men told her they actually preferred Rachel. Hayden Markowitz actually told Gabby that he thought Rachel’s “morals” alligned more closely with his own and that he thought Gabby was a “little rough around the edges.” What?! Who says that? It was no wonder poor Gabby ended the evening in tears.

Meanwhile back at the Rose Ceremony, Gabby and Rachel took turns offering roses to the men, who had the choice of either accepting the rose or admitting they were actually here for the other Bachelorette. What seemed like a sensible plan quickly took a turn, when no less than three of Rachel’s choices admitted they were more attracted to Gabby. And once her rose had been declined, show host Jesse Palmer swooped in and confiscated the refused rose, denying Rachel the opportunity to offer it to another suitor.

Now it was Rachel‘s turn for tears. As she told Gabby, “This was supposed to be us taking the power back. We literally handed it right back to all of them by doing this.”

“I just feel so bad. And so rejected,” Rachel told Gabby.

“This is how I felt last night,” said Gabby referring to her horrible group date experience.

“But [that] was, like, private. This was so embarrassing and public,” Rachel tearfully said. Um, hello? National television, Rachel. Nothing on this show is “private.”

Former Bachelorette Katie Thurston is not having any of it, tweeting, “THIS IS SO F–KING RUDE I HATE THIS.” (My thoughts exactly.)

Katie added in a separate tweet that Gabby shouldn’t let any of these men make her feel bad about herself. “Gabby—you don’t need to be someone’s cup of tea when you’re a shot of whiskey!” Katie encouraged. “Rough around the edges? Find yourself a man who LOVES your boldness.”

Another former Bachelorette contestant Clay Harbor tweeted, “My favorite relationship so far is Gabby and Rachel. They are both pulling for each other regardless of the fact they are forced to compete in a way. Loving this friendship. #TheBachelorette”

And the rest of Bachelor Nation isn’t much happier with situation. As one Twitter user wrote, “It’s okay for the men to prefer one bachelorette over the other, but no need to degrade them and put them down.”

Another fan added, “The stupid thing is that Rachel and Gabby each should’ve had their own group of guys to begin with.”

As disappointing as the episode was, Gabby has previously said that she and Rachel “have no regrets” about the way this season unfolded. “We just both respect each other and love each other so much that we would never, ever want to make the other one feel compromised or like we were competing against each other,” she said. “To me, there was no other way. There was no other option.”

I’m already looking forward to After the Final Rose. I have a feeling Hayden has some heat coming his way for his insensitive treatment of Gabby.

Below Deck Mediterranean Alum Jessica More Is Pregnant

Oh baby! Congratulations are in order for Below Deck Mediterranean alum Jessica More, who recently announced her pregnancy on social media. The Season 5 star was part of Hannah Ferrier’s interior team before the OG chief stew was fired by Captain Sandy Yawn.

Jessica brought a lot of positive energy, and was a team player, both under Hannah and Bugsy Drake, and picked up table-scaping from the latter quite quickly. She caught the eye of deck hand Robert Westergaard and the two started a brooding, passionate love affair onboard. It started unraveling just as quickly as it began, and Robert had a heck of a time deciding whether to follow Jessica to Bali or take part in a transatlantic crossing. Though he decided on Bali, the pair didn’t last on land.

Free-spirited Jessica moved on to live her best life since filming wrapped. She shared some of her journey on social media, from completing a yoga teacher training course in Costa Rica to partying in Tulum, Mexico with Below Deck alums.

Now, to add to her unique journey, Jessica revealed her pregnancy with a set of stunning photos. She is posing poolside in a yellow and orange crochet bikini, her hair up in a messy bun. Baby bump takes center stage.  In addition to announcing the pregnancy, the brunette beauty also shared the sex of her baby. Jessica captioned the photo, “I’ve been waiting a long time to be your mommy, Charli. So blessed and excited for this next chapter with my little princess.”

Jessica revealed in the comment section that she has about 9 weeks left in her pregnancy, putting her at the very start of her eighth month and well into the third trimester. It seems the mom-to-be was incredulous at the beginning of her pregnancy, and “took 4 tests” to confirm the news. She chose to keep the identity of Charli’s father private.

Below Deck alum flooded Jessica’s post with words of congratulations and support. Colin Macy-O’Toole wrote, “Congrats girlie!!” Alex Radcliffe, who was on the same season with Jessica, posted, “Secret is out. Funcle.” Chef Kiko Lorran added, “So happy for you my friend.”

Congratulations to Jessica and her family! For those wishing to donate a gift, Jessica shared a baby registry to her Instagram page.

The Challenge USA Spoilers: Big Brother On a The Attack

In the last episode of The Challenge USA, Big Brother showed up and took control of the game. Kyland Young of Big Brother 23 and Angela Rummons of Big Brother 20 won last week’s challenge, which put them in the driver’s seat. With so many players left in the game, there was no need to target any Big Brother players at this point.

James Wallington from the Amazing Race and Tasha Fox from Survivor lost in the arena, and both were eliminated from the competition. Tonight, another challenge will give a new couple power in the game to choose who will fight to save their game in the arena combat. Big Brother has the best numbers in the game, and let’s hope it stays that way.

Week Four Main Challenge

This week’s main challenge is called Falling Off the Knowledge. Each couple has been paired together randomly for this challenge. All the couples will stand on a ledge 250 feet above the ground. They will be asked a trivia question. If the couple answers the question incorrectly, they will be plummeting 150 feet straight down.

This game will be played in 3 rounds. The first round will create a winner’s round and a loser’s round. The winning couple will gain power while the losing couple will compete in the arena fighting for their lives in the game.

Unfortunately, David Alexander from Big Brother 21 and Justine Ndiba from Love Island were the losers and are automatically headed to the arena to fight for their lives.

Once again this week, Kyland Young of Big Brother 23 won again this week. His partner was another Big Brother alumni, Alyssa Lopez from Big Brother 23 as well. They will decide who David and Justine will face off against in the arena.

Week Four Arena Challenge

Kyland and Alyssa chose to put David and Justine in the arena with Xavier Prather from Big Brother 23 and Shantel Smith from Survivor 41. It’s official; Big Brother alumni have finally turned on one another, which happened very early in the game. This is most likely revenge for X winning Big Brother 23 against Kyland and Alyssa in the same alliance, the Cookout.

This competition is called Smash In and Puzzle Out. The teams must race to complete a puzzle, but the puzzle pieces are at the end of a tunnel with panes of glass blocking their route. They must bring each puzzle piece out through the tunnel one at a time.

The first team to complete their puzzle stays in the game while the losing team goes home. The stakes are high.

When it was all said and done, Big Brother took out one of their own as X and Shan lost and were eliminated from The Challenge: USA. X gave a searing goodbye message to his fellow Big Brother alum.

Xavier said, “I played Big Brother Season 23, and I backstabbed everyone, and they’re all petty little bit*hes about it. I’m still rich, y’all broke, and y’all are stupid”.

Well said, Xavier, although he seems to be somewhat of a sore loser this time. Now the Big Brother squad on The Challenge:  USA is down a member.

Crystal Kung Minkoff Tells Former Real Housewife Camille Grammer To “Get A Job” After Camille Calls Her Boring

There are three words that no Real Housewife ever wants to hear: Get a job. But, that’s the exact advice that Crystal Kung Minkoff is giving to Camille Grammer. Throughout season 12 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the former “Most Hated Housewife” has continued her tried and true tradition of criticizing everything about the show where she once starred. Whether it’s about the storylines, the non-waterproof mascara, or the fake friendships, you can bet that Camille will share her opinion. Usually, the shade goes unchecked, but this time, Crystal decided to hit back against the Beverly Hills OG.

In case you missed it, Camille tweeted some not-so-nice things about Crystal’s sophomore year earlier in the season. “Boring Crystal storyline. Ugh. Reaching for a storyline,” Camille shared to her followers as we all navigated the convoluted story about Crystal’s 14 friends that dumped her and Sutton Stracke’s alleged “dark” comment.

Although Crystal has become known for her low-key presence on the show, she had a clapback stored up and ready to go for Camille. When asked about Camille’s criticism, Crystal suggested that she “get a job.” Queens of Bravo captured the hilarious moment on Instagram, and you can spot Rob Minkoff grinning from ear to ear, watching his wife expertly deliver this shade.

“It’s not my style. I’m a very busy person,” Crystal told the interviewer in response to Camille’s “boring” comment. “So, maybe she should get busier. Get a job. I don’t know.”

On Instagram, where the comments seemed to be overwhelmingly on Crystal’s side, Camille dialed back on her criticism of the RHOBH newbie. “I didn’t say she was boring but the so called ‘dark’ storyline was. Stop stirring,” Camille clarified. “She’s very pretty,” she wrote in a separate comment.

Of course, since the “dark” storyline aired, Crystal’s role on the show has taken on a much more serious tone. In the most recent episode, she bravely revealed how she’s actively struggling with an eating disorder, which is more depth and storyline than most veteran Housewives bring to the show. So, give her a break, Camille!

Gizelle Bryant Says That Karen Huger Brings It With Her Opinions Instead Of Playing It Safe On The Upcoming Season Of Real Housewives Of Potomac

There are few Housewives relationships that I enjoy more than the one between Gizelle Bryant and Karen Huger. The Real Housewives of Potomac stars go way back, long before they joined the franchise. But joining Housewives has its pitfalls when it comes to friendships and that has played out masterfully between them on the show.

But the reason I really love their relationship is because they understand the assignment. The two give the show the drama it needs, but continue to hold respect for each other. And I think they have genuine affection for each other too. It would be hard to picture the franchise with one and not the other. While Robyn Dixon is Gizelle’s ride or die, Karen is often Gizelle’s storyline. Notice that her many seasons on the show rarely revolve around anything more interesting than her fighting with the Grande Dame? And that goes for Karen too. I love her, but let’s not pretend that going back to Surry County to ride on the back of a convertible is must-see reality tv.

Now that season 7 of RHOP is upon us, Gizelle is opening up about her longtime frenemy’s vibe this year. As reported by E! News, Gizelle and Robyn talked about it on an episode of their Reasonably Shady podcast. Guest Carlos King, former Real Housewives of Atlanta producer and “King of Reality TV” asked Gizelle who “always brings it.” Gizelle responded, “It changes year after year.” She added, “I can say this—this is a little bit of a spoiler alert for season seven; Andy [Cohen] don’t fire me—Karen brings it this season. Yes, she does.”

Gizelle explained that Karen normally likes to “straddle the fence, not give her opinion [and] kind of play it safe.” But this season? “The Grand Dame does not do that,” said Gizelle. She continued, “She was spilling the tea this season. When does she ever spill tea? She hasn’t spilled tea in seven seasons. I think it’s a different side to her.”

Regardless of the tea she spills, Karen will always be The Grand Dame. And that means she will remain shady until the end. She said last year of her RHOP castmates, “I’m so proud of each and every one of my friends on this show and it also takes the drama from people like Gizz to do what she does without any conscience.” She added, “Well, I hope for Gizz. We gotta hope.”

Below Deck Mediterranean Recap: An Illicit Boatmance

Things are starting to make sense on this season of Below Deck Mediterranean. Or, at least, we’re getting some answers that merely open a pandora’s box of more questions. And it all hinges on the bizarre dynamic happening between Natasha Webb and Chef Dave White. Whom we have now established were in a weird sort of secret relationship before coming aboard M/Y Home. One that seems to be largely controlled by what the chief stew wants. Dave explains via confessional that it was Natasha who said she wanted “time” before admitting everything to the crew and Bravo’s cameras. And came up with the inane parameters to wait a week before spilling the beans.

But the thing is, Dave forced the issue. And now they’re both talking about it in their confessionals. So I don’t know what Natasha‘s actually trying to do here other than keep Dave on a leash. She put him in her cabin to keep him close. She flashes a smile to get what she wants from him. And clearly feels like she has the power to ignore him when she’d rather flirt with, say, Jason Gaskell. Which leads us to…

Power Move or Pissing Match?

The crew’s first night out is fraught with underlying tension. Again because of whatever’s going on between Dave and Natasha. She gets upset when she finds out he told the table he wants more from their relationship. And starts worrying that he’s a ticking time bomb. So her solution is to punish him by completely avoiding and ignoring him all night. This happens on her terms, chef, not yours, remember? Dave obviously notices the mutual interest brewing between his secret girlfriend and Jason. And by the time they get back to the boat, she won’t even look his way. So he decides to poke the bear by drunkenly antagonizing the junior deckhand.

The pestering is really over nothing. But it just about leads to a blow-up in the crew mess until Jason retreats to his cabin to avoid throwing hands with Dave. And the strategy doesn’t get the desired response out of Natasha either. Once Dave tells her about his altercation with “[her] boyfriend,” she once again presses the abort button and sneaks off to sleep in the guest cabin for the night while he’s in the shower. The chef ends the night alone in his bunk, sobbing quietly with his back to the camera. This is already a mess.

Secrets in the Shower

The next morning, the tension between Dave and Natasha is palpable. He tries to apologize for acting like a fool. But she feeds him the line that she needs to focus on herself. And he comes thisclose to breaking their agreement by pointing out on camera that they can’t even talk about the “real reason” for the awkwardness. Oops. His attempt at apologizing to Jason doesn’t go much better, either. But at least for now, the two are able to shake hands and move on. After all, the second charter is just hours away from beginning.

But that doesn’t stop Dave from attempting to clear the air with Natasha just one more time. He asks if they can talk. She suggests meeting in their cabin. But when he arrives, she’s already in the shower. And what was supposed to be a five minute chat turns into a half hour tryst in the shower. Is this strategic on Natasha’s part so the cameras can’t capture their conversation? Is she just placating Dave with an early morning hookup? Either way, by the time she leaves the bathroom, she’s fully clothed and Dave’s the one in the shower. That’s certainly one way to get around production eavesdropping on secrets you’re trying to keep off-camera.

A Deck in Disarray

Raygan Tyler‘s leadership, or lack thereof, also remains a huge problem this week. First, she spends all morning in bed with a hangover. Leaving Jason, Storm Smith, and Mzi Dempers without any clear direction on what needs to get done. By the time she drags herself to the preference sheet meeting, Captain Sandy Yawn is visibly displeased. And even more so when the beleaguered bosun tries to blame her absence on food poisoning. No, sweetie. That’s called a hangover. You were dancing like one of those inflatable men in front of a car dealership last night. And you couldn’t possibly look more unprofessional right now.

The drama continues when it comes time to get all the water toys out for the guests. Which, by the way, was one of the top priorities on their preference sheet. But Raygan‘s “do whatever you want” approach only creates chaos on the swim platform. To the point where Captain Sandy has to come down and help get things organized and in the water. The batteries in the sea bobs are dead. The inflatables take forever to be blown up. The passerelle sits idly on the swim platform when it should be the very first thing in the water. Of course, all this is happening as the guests sit. And wait. And wait. To start enjoying their chartered yacht vacation.

Raygan, You in Danger, Girl

Later that night while Dave is serving the guests twice-cooked octopus, Captain Sandy pulls Mzi aside to get his take on how the deck is operating. And to paraphrase a certain Bravolebrity, “Not well, Captain.” The returning deckhand gives his honest assessment that the problems are his fault. Nor are they Jason‘s or Storm‘s. It’s all Raygan.

The next morning, Captain Sandy calls the bosun to the wheelhouse for what initially sounds like a pep talk. But Raygan doesn’t seem to grasp what dire straits she’s already in. Honey, this isn’t just yachting, it’s reality TV. It’s sink or swim. And you don’t even seem to be able to float. Captain Sandy wants to support her, but the more Raygan digs a hole for herself, the less likely it’ll be that she gets out of it.

Top 5 Takeaways From Southern Charm Season 8 Episode 5

Southern Charm is firing on all cylinders this season, and the garden party is highlighting that. These are real people with genuine issues, and it’s all boiling over. There’s no escaping anymore. After a long hiatus from filming, people have scores to settle.

Garden Party Drama Part 2

The episode kicked off with drama from last week’s episode carrying over into this one. Madison LeCroy knew exactly what she was doing by inviting Kathryn Dennis and Olivia Flowers. Leva Bonaparte was doing a decent job at meditating between Venita Aspen and everyone else. It’s really the only thing she’s done every season.

Venita went too far by bringing up Kathryn’s kids. When will everyone learn not to drag kids into a feud between adults? It doesn’t matter what the context was. You don’t do that. Period.

Kathryn doesn’t understand why she’s being targeted. Leva assured her that she was normal, but it was because of her emotions. So basically, everyone knows they can get a rise out of Kathryn, so she’s an easy target. Call it what it is.

When it doesn’t work out with Kathryn, Venita turns her attention to Oliva. Nobody engaged at the party with Venita. Olivia hasn’t done anything wrong, so it’s a bit confusing as to what Venita’s motives are.

Olivia doesn’t like the word racism thrown out in a conversation involving her. What I didn’t like was Olivia telling Venita she’s not going to “cancel culture” her out of here. If you have done nothing wrong, you shouldn’t have anything to worry about. Olivia doesn’t know the struggles Venita might’ve gone through or other Black women.

Venita’s desperately trying to have a moment with everyone in this group. I might chalk this up to a newbie trying to find their footing. It still wreaks of desperation though. At the same time, this is Madison’s fault. If Madison didn’t secretly invite Kathryn and Olivia, Venita wouldn’t have been blindsided.

Paige/Craig/Naomie “Love” Triangle

It’s been a fun treat seeing Paige DeSorbo on Southern Charm this season. She and Craig Conover feel like they could be the real deal. Honestly? They might be the only genuine relationship currently in the cast, romantically speaking.

Paige understands group settings as being a place Craig might hang out with Naomie Olindo. However, she is putting the kibosh on Craig having a one-on-one lunch with her. The door is closed on Craig hanging out with Naomie, at least according to Paige.

Craig doesn’t see anything wrong with reconnecting with his ex on that sort of personal level. He must tread lightly if he wants his relationship with Paige. Is being buddies with Naomie that important to him?

On the boys’ trip with Shep Rose and Austen Kroll, Craig phones Paige, and you can tell how much he misses her. He wants to tell her that he loves her, but he didn’t say it.

Austen & Olivia’s Totally Not Date

Olivia is out of her mind if she is serious about pursuing a relationship with Austen. Has she never seen the show she’s on? He has a horrendous history with women, and history says this won’t end any differently.

Austen spent the entire “date” with Olivia talking about Madison. She wants to connect with this man, and all he’s doing is rambling about Madison’s current happenings. If he’s still hung-up on Madison, he needs to let Olivia find someone else. If he’s not over Madison, it’s not fair to Olivia.

Olivia had to sit through an awkward conversation about their status as a couple as well. These two are just getting to know one another. There isn’t a need to throw a label on something that’s still in its infancy stage.

Olivia played the thing really cool in comparison to how many would. Most people wouldn’t sit through while someone pines over their ex and fumbles through a conversation about status. Hopefully, he gets over himself soon and doesn’t string her along for too long.

Boys Road Trip

Shep, Craig, and Austen have unmatched chemistry. Whether you find them likable or not is irrelevant because scenes with all three guys DELIVER. Their banter is hilarious.

The writing is on the wall for the end of Shep and Taylor Ann Green’s relationship. We all know by now that they’ve split, but this episode has to play a pivotal role in them calling it quits.

The meeting is more about helping Austen’s parents with the sale of his childhood home. This is also a mega business opportunity for Austen and his brand.

Shoutout to Austen for ignoring everyone who consistently doubts him. He’s managed to throw all of that to the wayside and build a brand for himself.

Shep’s “Hot Mic” Type Moment

Shep is so fucking awful. During the trip, he calls Taylor, and a wild moment happens. When Shep tells Taylor that he’s going to bars in Charlotte, her paranoia peaks. He leaves the room off camera and tells her he’s not going to stop going places.

To make things worse, Shep tries gaslighting Taylor by accusing her of drinking. Way to project! Taylor has reason to be worried. If Shep didn’t on her in the first place, she wouldn’t be worried about his actions out of town.

Even Austen and Craig understand that Taylor has good reason to be concerned. Despite what Shep might want everyone to think, Taylor’s not insane. She doesn’t want her heart broken.

Craig says Shep’s not cut out to be a relationship guy. The whole thing is really sad to watch because everyone knows how this is going to end. He’s going back to his old ways. That’s if he ever changed in the first place.

A drunk Craig says Shep’s worried about Taylor finding out more. There’s more than that one kiss apparently. I can’t say I’m surprised to learn any of that.

The episode ends with Shep being a sleazeball and buying another woman a drink. Here we go. This likely explains so much about the downfall of their relationship.

Dancing With The Stars Pro Witney Carson Hid Her Cancer Diagnosis From Producers; Says “I Was Embarrassed”

Dancing With the Stars is welcoming back a familiar face! Alfonso Ribeiro has been named the new co-host for Season 31 of DWTS. Alfonso will join Tyra Banks in the ballroom. Alfonso was congratulated by longtime former DWTS host Tom Bergeron, who was fired from the show after Season 28 was over.

Alfonso has experience waltzing around the ballroom. In 2014, he competed on Season 19 with pro Witney Carson. The couple took home the sparkling mirror ball trophy.

Witney spoke with People about why she hid her cancer diagnosis during her first season on the show. In 2014, Witney was 19 years old when she received a call to become a dance pro on DWTS. She left Provo, Utah to move to Los Angeles.

“I finally got this call that was going to just skyrocket my career. It was my dream,” Witney explained. Right before leaving for Los Angeles, Witney was diagnosed with a type of skin cancer called melanoma.

Witney had two surgeries to remove the cancer. The dancer was too frightened to tell anyone about her diagnosis. She was worried that she would have to miss her first full season as a pro. She was paired with Australian pop star Cody Simpson for Season 18.

“All of a sudden I get diagnosed with melanoma and of course, being myself, I’m like ‘It’s fine. I can still go on the show,'” Witney remarked.

“I was supposed to be doing all the right things to be an athlete, and so it was embarrassing for me to be like, ‘Yes, I had, I was sick. I was literally sick,’” Witney stated. “The producers didn’t know. My partner didn’t know. I wanted people to think I was perfectly healthy.”

She continued, “They took an inch diameter around the mole on my foot as well as all of my lymph nodes in my left hip. It was just spreading so quickly, and they had to get rid of the lymph nodes and there was lots of healing time.” Witney added, “I think I took six weeks and then I went straight to Dancing with the Stars. My foot was wrapped. I still had stitches in it.”

Witney was determined to keep up with the show’s schedule. “I walk in my first day of rehearsals; I’m just going full force. The doctor has not cleared me for any active anything. I just decided to do it anyway because how could I not?” Witney commented.

“It’s my dream. So I go, I do the whole routine. I’m like, ‘My foot feels so sweaty. I’m so sweaty. This is so weird,’ and I looked down and my white tennis shoe is just covered in blood, just covered in blood,” Witney shared. Yikes!

The dancer stated, “Ripped my stitches open. I had to get my foot wrapped every week after I did the live show.”

Both of Witney’s parents were treated for melanoma, which can be a hereditary condition. Witney feels that her use of tanning beds as a teenager might have been a contributing factor to developing skin cancer. “I have not set foot in a tanning bed since I was diagnosed, which was 19. I have not set foot in it,” she stated.

Witney, who is cancer-free, always puts sunscreen on herself, and her 1-year-old son, Leo. “He’s obsessed with babies. Anywhere we go he’s always saying, ‘Baby, baby!’ He loves them,” Witney remarked. “We want to have one so bad, but I’m getting ready for the season.”

She continued, “I don’t think it would be wise to be pregnant during the season. It’s going to be on Disney+, the old executive producer, Conrad, is coming back. I’m really excited about that,” Witney said. “I just would really love to be a part of it this season. So that’s kind of our main focus right now,” she added.

DWTS will drop on Disney+ sometime in the fall.

Val Chmerkovskiy And Jenna Johnson Weigh In On Alfonso Ribeiro Co-Hosting Dancing With The Stars

Dancing With the Stars is getting a makeover, and most of the changes are being met with positive responses. Actor Alfonso Ribeiro, who won the mirror ball on Season 19 with pro partner Witney Carson, has been named the new co-host of DWTS.

Alfonso will be co-hosting Season 31 with Tyra Banks. Tyra has received criticism for her hosting chops in the past.

“For me to be asked now to co-host with Tyra and be part of the great crew and dancers and friends … to be able to be on stage with them and to be part of that family again, is quite special for me,” Alfonso told People in a statement. 

Everyone seems excited to welcome the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum back to the ballroom. Former DWTS host Tom Bergeron even addressed Alfonso’s new gig. Tom was let go ahead of Season 29 after being with the series from the jump.

Tom has nothing but praise for Alfonso. “Now, getting Conrad Green back as DWTS showrunner is only ONE of their smartest decisions,” Tom posted on Instagram along with two photos of him with Alfonso. “Here’s the other one. Congratulations, buddy!”

DWTS pros Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson spoke to E! News Daily Pop at the 2022 Espys about Alfonso’s new role. “I think Alfonso’s the perfect host, the perfect candidate. He won the show, so he’s got a lot of experience,” Val explained.

“We’re all friends. He’s got rapport with the cast, and this show is all about family and fun entertainment,” Val remarked. “I think it belongs on Disney+, so I’m excited for what’s in store.”
DWTS is moving from ABC to Disney+ this fall. As for Val, he previously hinted that last season may have been his final one in the ballroom. I demand that Val return to DWTS!

Jenna told E! News Daily Pop that the change to Disney+ will be “a nice refresh for the show.” She commented, “I cannot wait.”

Of course, Val and Jenna, who got married in 2019, recently announced that they are expecting their first child. Jenna’s due date is in January of 2023. Jenna said of her husband, “He is obsessed with my body growing. The boobs, the butt, the belly,” Jenna stated. “So, for him to be so sweet and positive about my body, has just made me feel so beautiful.”

Jenna told E! News Daily Pop, “We’ve been waiting for this moment for a very long time. So, the fact that it’s finally here, we are just ecstatic.” The mom-to-be added, “And I can’t wait for all the challenges, for no sleep, for all of it.”

Val and Jenna both want athletics to be an important part of their child’s life. “In terms of discipline, in terms of their own personal growth [and] physical growth,” Val remarked.
If their child doesn’t have a yearning to tango, Jenna said that they will support their child, “no matter what they choose.” She added that she and Val are “huge advocates for athleticism and being active in general.”

Kim Richards Says She Hasn’t Seen Sister Kyle Richards In Months; Says They Don’t Talk Much

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has long been known for its family drama thanks to the Richards sisters. RHOBH OG Kyle Richards and her sister Kim Richards famously fell out during their time on the show. They went back and forth for years on their relationship in front of camera. Now Kim is revealing where the two stand today.

Kim recently told Us Weekly that she doesn’t really speak much with Kyle and her other sister Kathy Hilton. Kathy joined the show last year as a friend of and is featured in the same capacity this season. Kim said of Kyle, “I haven’t seen her. I did text both of my sisters the other day and Kyle wrote me back, ‘I love you Kim,’ and when I see the words, ‘I love you,’ I cry.” Kim shared the update at Kathy’s private screening of the latest RHOBH episode at her Bel Air mansion. She added, “I love both of my sisters so much.”

Kim noted that the last time she saw Kyle was at her niece Farrah Aldjufrie’s engagement party last year. Despite the lack of contact, Kim insisted they are “great” right now. She went on, “At one point, she was right down the street [and], maybe, I would stop by. [If] she calls, I’m down. I’m right there. I don’t have a bone to pick with either one of my sisters, except I want them to love and get along. But you can’t force that.”

While Kyle and Kathy didn’t seem to have any issues last season, this season is another story. The RHOBH season 12 trailer teased big time drama between the two. In one clip, Kyle sits with castmate Lisa Rinna and cries to Kathy that she thinks Kathy hates her.

Kim said of the potential drama, “I know that the show can bring out stuff … and we say things when we’re upset and we’re angry or sad. I reminded my sisters [via text], ‘Remember the way mom raised us and what she wanted and what she instilled in us — our goals and our life as a family.’ And so I said, ‘If you need me, I’m here and just know that I love you.’”

She also admitted that she hasn’t watched this season and doesn’t know what the issues are between Kyle and Kathy. Said Kim,“We’re not the kind of sisters that call and say, ‘Did you hear?’ That’s not us. Although it would be better maybe at this point, if I had heard from one of them before I get all these phone calls, because it’s not very fun when you hear everybody saying, ‘Kyle did this,’ [and] ‘Kathy did that,’ so apparently … I don’t know. I’m looking forward to seeing [the show] tonight.”

The former Housewife maintains that she doesn’t “fight” with Kathy at all. She concluded, “Kyle and I are more feisty … or maybe I was. I don’t think I’m as feisty as I used to be, but I don’t know until you put me in the hot seat again. Not asking!”

90 Day Fiancé Recap: Last Sip Single

Last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance was interesting. The 90 Days are finally drawing to a conclusion for many of the couples. It’s time to either put up or shut up. The only problem is for some of the matches aren’t quite ready to do so. Honestly, I am confused why anyone would go as far as to leave their friends and family to go to another country if they weren’t sure they wanted to marry their partner. That begs to question is there another reason beyond love, that would compel someone to go that far. The answer is yes! I will leave it up to you to decide who may be plotting in the background.

Kara and Guillermo tie the knot. Thais’ uncertainty deepens in Massachusetts. Emily discovers Kobe is looking at the future differently. Shaeeda gets unexpected advice from Bilal‘s mother. Mohamed makes a big move. Jibri and Miona move out. Let’s get straight to the recap.

Kara, 29 (Charlottesville, Virginia) and Guillermo, 23 (Venezuela)

Guillermo and Kara are finally tying the knot in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by friends and family. He has decided to put their issues aside and trust that things will change for the better once they are married. Insert side eye here. It’s not impossible.  But I doubt she will be willing. She even admitted it to her friends at her bachelorette. Guillermo better get ready for late nights, bars and controlling behavior. I believe Kara loves Guillermo; she just doesn’t see a need to do anything differently. Hopefully they will be able to grow together as their relationship progresses.

Emily, 29 (Salina, Kansas) and Kobe, 34 (Cameroon)

Kobe’s friend Temperature is still making his thoughts known about Emily and her controlling behavior. He even recommends that they move to Ohio where Kobe will have the support of a large African community. Of course, that infuriates Emily because she is totally comfortable being the queen of the castle in her family’s home.  When Kobe learns that she has already made plans about their living situation without discussing it with him, he pushes back. When she realizes the heat on her, she turns things back on him.  She is upset that Kobe shared the news about the baby with Temperature. SMH… What is the big deal? That is his friend who doesn’t even live in the same area, who would he tell that would affect her?

After Emily discovers Kobe has been looking at apartments in Ohio, she is furious. She goes out to barn to confront him and tell him that she no intention of moving anywhere. Kobe begins to feel like he is the only one making sacrifices in their relationship. I’m glad he finally sees things how they are. It’s funny how Emily is worried that Kobe’s friend is a bad influence who wants to control her, but she sees nothing wrong with her making all of the decisions.

Bilal, 42 (Kansas City, Missouri) and Shaeeda, 37 (Trinidad and Tobago)

Shaeeda and Bilal are only days away from the wedding and nothing has been decided in relation to their prenup. In an effort to get some advice, she arranges a meeting with Bilal’s mom. His mom has a lot of great advice and insight into her son. But it’s obvious she is going to advocate for her son, before anyone else. I’m not against the prenup, but I do think it should have protections in place for both parties. Later, Shaeeda decides to take her mother-in-law’s advice and use a gentler approach. When she agrees to just sign the agreement and trust Bilal. He decides to compromise and agree to her terms as well. Hmm… Maybe there is hope yet.

Patrick, 31 (Austin, Texas) and Thais, 25 (Brazil)

There is only a week until Thais and Patrick’s wedding. But she has been confused and sad ever since her father asked her to return home. Despite their issues, they still go to Massachusetts to meet his family and hopefully get married before the end of the trip. Once they arrive at his sister’s house, Thais is friendly and tries to make a good impression. But things get awkward when her father is brought up. Although Patrick and his mom haven’t always had the best relationship, she is very supportive of his pending marriage.

Thais goes wedding dress shopping with Patrick’s sister. It’s crazy to me everything is moving forward full steam ahead as if she hasn’t expressed the desire to go home. She isn’t even excited as she tries on gowns.  Patrick’s big sister wants to use this time to get to know Thais’ true intentions and see how serious she truly is about her brother. Later, during dinner with Patrick’s family, they have some tough questions for Thais. After her answers seem vague, his family comes to the conclusion that Thais may not be serious about Patrick.

Yvette, 48 (Albuquerque, New Mexico) and Mohamed, 25 (Egypt)

Mohamed video calls his family to get some advice on his relationship with Yvette. He is shocked that his mother actually agrees with some of the things his fiancé has tried to convey to him. She warns him against trying to control and force his traditions on her, when she is from a different culture. Mohamed must have realized he may be close to losing his green card because he did a complete 360 overnight. After a romantic dinner, he surprises Yvette with flowers and proposal. I guess his mother’s advice had some impact on him, but I am not convinced this new outlook will last. The flowers were nice, but it wouldn’t be enough for me to forget all of the cultural and religious differences that are still unresolved.

 Jibri, 28 (Rapid City, South Dakota) and Miona, 23 (Serbia)

It’s been a week since Jibri and Miona were asked about their plans to move. They have decided to move to a rental home in Joshua Tree which is several hours away. Miona is ecstatic to leave and start their lives on their own. In a post interview, his parents express their disappointment that Jibri decided to have the wedding in a place so far they will not be able to attend. Honestly, I don’t think they were all that keen to attend in the first place.

Big Brother 24 Week 2 Recap: The Festie Bestie Twist Shakes Up The House

What a difference a week can make. To say that Big Brother 24 started off a bit rocky would be quite the understatement. After waiting to announce the cast until the day before the show was to start, they had a last-minute change-up that resulted in Joseph entering the game after having previously been an alternate. The two-hour Premiere was rushed and underwhelming and didn’t give us too much time to get to know the players. And then the days that followed had Twitter in an uproar, with a massive controversy in the house as to the treatment Taylor was receiving from multiple other houseguests. The accusations ranged from “microaggressions” to full-blown racism, and in any case, it was undeniable, ugly behavior that stretched far beyond the game, and made the first week of the show hard to handle. It culminated with Paloma making a sudden exit from the show (citing “personal reasons”), and Julie Chen Moonves basically washing away Daniel‘s Week 1 HOH, as if it never happened.

Of course, almost none of the big controversy made it to air, with any proper context at least. All of the trouble was available to be seen on the live feeds, but the live-feeders then became even more outraged when it seemed like the show wasn’t addressing anything that they were seeing and/or hearing. The good news is that once Paloma was out of the house and the dust kicked up from the debacle that was Week 1 started settling, things began actually resembling…Big Brother? Houseguests were talking strategy, alliances were forming, dumb moves were being made, and cheesy sound effects (like the added-in squeak of Jasmine‘s new scooter) were being heard. Ah yes, the sweet smell of Big Brother had once again returned to our nostrils. Oh how we had missed thee!

Rebounding from that terrible start, Big Brother seems to be picking up momentum in Week 2. First, we saw Pooch volunteer himself as a pawn, even as shouts from millions of people from around the country yelled in unison, “Don’t you know that pawns go home on Big Brother!” Since Paloma self-evicted, Pooch was still technically the first person to be voted out of the house, and it was unanimous…his close ally Turner ended up reluctantly voting with the house, and even Joseph – who had developed a true bro-mance with Pooch – voted him out. Pooch was gone, and the game churned on.

But this is Big Brother, and on Big Brother we “expect the unexpected.” There was nothing more unexpected this week than what ended up being revealed as this season’s biggest game twist of all. Dubbed the “Festie Bestie” twist, essentially the game will be played in pairs here on out. It creates very compelling, exciting new possibilities for the game, and it sent the existing alliances scrambling. Basically, two players are now playing the game together. A pair will get nominated to the block together, and if one of them win POV, they both come off the block and the HOH selects a new pair of Besties to take their place. This twist forces you to work with someone, but also be mindful that you have to beat that person should you end up on the block together. I love that this twist came two weeks into the game and not right from the start, because it will be interesting to see just how it affects the game’s existing alliances. Mind. Blown.

The pairs – which were determined during the HOH Comp, were as follows: Brittany/Michael, Monte/Joseph, Nicole/Taylor, Kyle/Daniel, Alyssa/Indy, Ameerah/Terrance.  Turner was the one on top at the end of the comp, becoming this week’s HOH, and because no one ended up selecting her, Jasmine became his Bestie, which also meant that she too would be guaranteed safe this week.

Having now lived together for two weeks in the house, there seems to be a few competing alliances that have formed and seem solid. The most potent alliance seems to be “Po’s Pack,” named in honor of Paloma (“Po” was her childhood nickname), which consists of Kyle, Alyssa, Michael, Monte, Nicole and Ameerah. This alliance managed to split themselves up, making sure that each of them was paired with a person outside of their alliance, so that if they were to be nominated, each of them would have the votes to win over the other person not in their alliance. There is also the “Girls Girls” alliance, known also as the “Six in the City” alliance on the feeds, were all of the women in the house – save for Taylor – are aligned. “The Oasis” alliance – which was an all-male alliance consisting of Pooch, Turner, Kyle, Monte, Joseph and Daniel – now seems DOA with Pooch having been sent home and blindsided.

Turner‘s HOH Ceremony ended with him nominated the Bestie pair of Brittany and Michael, and Turner’s target seemed to be Brittany. Michael and Brittany were shown to have made a Final Two alliance on Day 2, but at least from what we’ve seen on the broadcasted episodes, Michael appears to be more loyal to “Po’s Pack” than he does “Brichael.”

The interesting development during this week’s eviction episode was also that Nicole – paired with everyone’s Public-Enemy-#1-For-No-Reason-Whatsoever, Taylor –  floated the idea that the house should backdoor Taylor, by taking Brittany and Michael off of the block and replacing them with Nicole and Taylor. So Nicole is offering herself up as a pawn? Even after what just happened with Pooch? The exasperated shout, “Don’t you know that pawns go home on Big Brother!” were once again heard in the distance.

Final Thoughts: I’m so, so happy that the game seems to be in full-swing. I really like the new twist as it adds a really entertaining level of strategy, and prevents – I think? – a dominant house alliance from forming. But while I am happy that I don’t have to say the word “Pooch” for the rest of the Summer, it is a bit draining to know that I’ll have to say the phrase “Festie Bestie” about a zillion times. Oh well.

It’s still so early in the game, that it’s hard to know where allegiances truly lie, but it’s clear that the fanbase’s allegiance is with Taylor thus far. Even though she isn’t facing the wrath of the house in the way that she was early on, that period of time ostracized her from the rest of the house, and she doesn’t seem to be in any real alliance. America loves their underdog story, and so far this season, that underdog player to root for has definitely been Taylor. Will she be nominated next to Nicole and finally be taken out? Will she avoid the block? Can’t wait for next week!
