Married At First Sight Recap: – It’s Not a Shore Thing

The five Married At First Sight couples wake up in Puerto Rico and begin learning more about the strangers they just married. Amidst pina coladas, picnics, and boat trips, romance grows for some. But for others, things take a turn for the worst. This episode is a perfect example of everything that glitters isn’t gold. People are starting to feel a lot more comfortable to be themselves. In some instances, this will help to continue to build a connection, but not for all.

If things are heating up like this during the honeymoon, I can’t wait to see what happens when they start cohabitating. Emotions are high and reality is starting to seep in. Although many of the couples are getting along, they realize they still barely know each other. One groom is already revealing some red flags. A bride has a meltdown and refuses to speak to her husband. I can only imagine what is going to happen in another week or so.  Let’s get straight into the recap!

Noi and Steve

Noi and Steve are still in the process of getting to know one another. No one can deny there is definitely chemistry between them. Although they are getting along well, there are still some very obvious differences between them. Noi is a planner whereas Steve enjoys spontaneous adventures. Right now, this may not be an issue, but I could see how this would cause problems down the road. If they can find a way to compromise, I think this is the start of something great.

In a post interview, Noi reveals she is starting to fall in love with Steve. In an attempt to be transparent, she foolishly shares her newfound feelings with him. Although he doesn’t quite freak out, his reaction wasn’t quite what she expected. When she appears disappointed, he reminds her “it’s only been three days.”  Sigh! I know some may think this was a poor reaction from him, but for some men this may have scared them away.

At dinner, Noi and Steve discuss the elephant in the room. She still isn’t comfortable with his response to her admitting falling in love with him. Steve explains he wants to make sure he truly has those feelings, before saying them. Honestly, she should be happy he was honest.  If he had just parroted it back to her, there is a good chance he would take it back later. The reality is they have only known each other for few days.  Although it is easy to get wrapped up on the excitement of a new relationship, these things take time. They haven’t even seen the full range of emotions from one another yet.  Hopefully Noi will be able to go with the flow and allow their feelings to grow organically.

Katina and Olajuwon

Olajuwon is still failing on his cuddling skills. Apparently, he has a sweating problem that prevents them from enjoying affection throughout the night. Later, he decides to take Katina to the gym to share his love of working out. Instead of a fun, no pressure experience, he acts as if he is a paid boot camp instructor. Umm…. If I were her,  I would have walked out and went straight to the bar. She may want to take note, although this is an isolated incident, it is a red flag to me.

During a friendly game of Never Have I Ever with the other couples. Olajuwon shocks the group with some of the revelations of his past. It almost seems like he is bragging about cheating, threesomes and sleeping with both a mother and daughter. I find the way that he relishes his past very weird. I would have been embarrassed if I was Katina. The next day, she voices some of her concerns about what was shared the day before. He reassures her that his focus is only on her and their marriage. I’m not quite sure I am buying what he is selling, but he isn’t my husband.

Lindsey and Mark

Lindsey and Mark enjoy a fun day of making pina coladas while getting to know each other. During their conversation, he shares more about his difficult past in relationships. He is a people pleaser that nurtures others, but rarely gets that in return. His wife on the other hand, admits she has a long line of engineers in her dating past. These two are so different.  I would never envision them as a couple, but somehow it seems to be working so far.

While on a group outing, Mark tells the guys that there have been several issues that have been red flags for him. I’m not sure he has voiced these concerns directly with Lindsey in this manner. I’m not shocked that he wants her to calm down a bit.  Meanwhile, she tells the other women she feels her husband is perfect for her and she loves him. Things get crazy when the topic of her disagreement with Olajuwon comes up yet again. Katina gets upset and goes off. Honestly, I can understand them being annoyed, but I am not sure why this is still an issue. It’s not like Lindsey said something that was a personal attack against them. I think Katina is taking the whole stand by your man a little too serious. Lindsey and Mark both have apologized; maybe it’s time to let it go.

During a romantic dinner, Mark voices some of his concerns with Lindsey. He has decided he would prefer to move slowly and not rush through an already accelerated process. By the look on her face, she is not feeling this conversation. When she asks for clarity, he says he doesn’t want to be too “lovey dovey”. Yikes! Lindsey does not take this news well and shares all the things he should stop doing as well. Did we really need to know that he clogs up toilets and farts in front of her? It’s obvious she feels blindsided before storming off. Whew, I don’t know where things are going to go from here. I wish he would have shared his concerns before they had sex. I think once you go there; it’s hard to go backwards.

When they arrive back at the hotel, Lindsey is furious that Mark chose a romantic date to tell her these things. Apparently, he had been very complimentary of her and their relationship all day until that evening. Personally, I think he isn’t a confrontational person and he doesn’t like that she is forcing him into these situations, at times.  I know many people may not agree, but I feel bad for Lindsey. She went from having a disagreement with Katina to now being told that her husband wants to take a step back. I don’t think she has bad intentions; she just may not be accustomed to boundaries.

Alyssa and Chris

Alyssa and Chris are actually attempting to spend time with one another for the first time during their honeymoon. They paddleboard and seem to have a good time. But things go downhill  fast, when they talk on the beach afterward. Alyssa claims she just wants to have peace, despite the experts “not doing a good job” matching them. In fact, she mentions seeing a psychic before the experiment. She was told the physical characteristics of her husband and of course none of them resemble Chris. Sigh! The only mistake the experts made was allowing this superficial and rude woman on the show. She doesn’t have to be immediately attracted to him, but it’s clear she isn’t even open to getting to know him.

Alyssa has another meltdown while speaking to producers because she feels forced to spend time with Chris. After sobbing and blaming her mother for suggesting to be nice to her husband, she demands they keep him away from her. Are you freaking kidding me? This behavior is not only abusive, it is just plain cruel! Why sign up to marry a stranger if you are going to treat the experience like a Tinder date? At this point, I just want them to send her home and stop filming her. The way she is treating this poor guy is disgusting.

Jasmina and Michael

Jasmina doesn’t seem to be able to forget Michael’s sister comments that he can be negative and overthink at times. She believes she is already seeing instances of it in their marriage.  Michael attributes all of the loss he has experienced in life for why he thinks this way. Over the years, he has learned to process things alone and expect the worst at times. Jasmina worries that this issue will prevent him from fully being in the moment with her.

In a post interview, Jasmina shares that she and Michael had their first dispute regarding something that was said on the boat with the group. He asked her to apologize for cutting him off while he was talking. Huh? She is confused by his by his accusations and tone when she doesn’t even feel she cut him off. We don’t hear anything from Michael about the situation, so it hard to try to piece together the full picture of what happened.

Later, Michael plans a romantic dinner to try to ease some of the tension from their argument earlier. He asks about her expectations of him as a husband and she asks for respect. Honestly, this argument is very stupid.. Based on the footage that was shown, she appears to give her opinion when he stopped talking. Maybe he was pausing, but it doesn’t seem like she just rudely cut him off. I guess he wanted an apology and she only offered “I’m sorry you feel that way.”  These two definitely need to work on their communication. Not everything is worth bringing up. But I can understand how she would be annoyed by that conversation. Honestly, I don’t understand why he mentioned it unless she was doing it repeatedly. Thankfully, he realizes the situation wasn’t worth it and says he will work on his delivery in the future.

Real Housewives Of Orange County Recap: Sweat Lodges, Sombreros, Piñatas And Porn

It’s been two whole weeks since they were last on the air, but The Real Housewives of Orange County are still in San Jose del Cabo. And guess what? The temperatures on the vacation may have been unbearable for the women thus far, but the drama is only just heating up. And in fact, the temperatures are going to get even hotter, too. Because the sensible thing to do when you’re already on a summertime vacation in Mexico is to jump into a sweat lodge. But let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves, now…

Instead, let’s start things off right where we left the ladies two weeks ago, shall we? In the middle of dinner listening to Noella Bergener make every single moment about herself. Gina Kirschenheiter went into this trip agreeing to be the Noella wrangler. So far, it’s been about an hour and she’s already sick of her job responsibilities. Not even a chilled dessert shot can rein the newbie’s chaotic — and perpetually dissatisfied — attitude in. Good luck Gina! This is the job you volunteered for, sister.

Meanwhile, back in Orange County, Terry Dubrow has organized a guys night out at Driftwood Kitchen in Laguna Beach. Probably in the hopes of replicating the patented Househusband magic demonstrated on other franchises. But when you stop and consider the group of husbands and boyfriends, it’s a pretty wildly, uh, disparate group. What do Dr. Dubrow, Shane Simpson, Travis Mullen and John Janssen really have in common? None of these men would likely ever socialize together in any capacity away from the eye of Bravo’s cameras. (It seems a shirtless Ryne Armstrong didn’t get an invite to the party.) But at least bouncing between the two meals gives us insight into the fact that Shannon Beador will never, ever have a threesome…

Naturally, Noella manages to hijack the conversation away from Shannon‘s relationship. First by raving about how she’s ready to be christened “Aunty Psychopants” to Shannon’s girls — whom, for the record, she hasn’t even met yet. And then by, of course, finding something wrong with every single thing Heather Dubrow does. Even harmlessly checking to see how Gina‘s feeling on her way to the bathroom gives Noella made-up ammunition to find fault in Fancy Pants.

However, when she’s trying to force a deep moment with Shannon, Noella doesn’t take kindly to Emily Simpson and Gina‘s drunken antics. In her confessional she refers to them as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, but at the table she simply labels them as “children.” This, of course, prompts the more-than-tipsy and now irritated BFFS to walk away from the table. So by the time Heather and Dr. Jen Armstrong get back from el bañjo, the evening has devolved into a petty tiff with Noella on one side and Gina on the other.

The next morning, the ‘Wives try to hit the reset by dividing into groups. While Heather takes Shannon and Dr. Jen to look at potential lots and properties to inspire her future vacation home, Gina, Emily and Noella head to a sweat lodge for a much-needed healing ceremony. There’s a certain element of mysticism involved in a genuine sweat lodge ceremony. And its cleansing effect impacts all three women deeply. Maybe even more deeply than any of them anticipated. Before they know it, Emily and Noella are both sobbing as tidal waves of emotion come to the surface. And caught between them, Gina’s empathic nature only adds to the heaviness as she takes both her friends’ emotions on.

But then, something so deeply spiritual quickly transforms into something genuinely dangerous. Amid the outpouring of grief and sadness, Noella says she’s starting to feel dizzy. Though cameras aren’t inside the sweat lodge, we can hear her retching as Emily breaks the fourth wall, calling to producers off-camera to get Noella out of the lodge. Like, STAT. The next few moments become frighteningly chaotic as an unconsciously Noella is physically carried to safety by producers. Gina and Emily come running out behind her dripping wet and soaked in sweat. Thankfully, the newbie is revived quickly and no major damage is done. But all three ‘Wives are left stupefied by what they just experienced together during the sweat lodge ceremony.

Also having a bit of a medical issue is Dr. Jen. Turns out traipsing around Cabo all day shopping for real estate has badly exacerbated the chronic pain in her leg. (In case you missed it, in the last episode, the newcomer explained that the pain is the result of a bone tumor, which was carved out and replaced by some sort of…concrete mixture? The procedure sounds both terribly painful and wildly barbaric.) Back at the villa, Dr. Jen tries to exercise her way out of the pain, and calls Ryne for some support. But the conversation turns into a microcosm on the state of the Armstrongs’ marriage. He can’t empathize or offer even a few consoling words. And she’s left feeling unsupported and unappreciated. I’m still waiting for Dr. Jen to give us more, but expect this marital strife to continue into next week.

Meanwhile, Noella, Gina and Emily are down on the beach having a private picnic. Mostly made up of some bubbly in the sand. Somehow, the topic of flying home is broached. And h0nestly, I hadn’t even considered the fact that Noella might not be invited to fly private with the rest of the ladies. But Emily takes the conversation a step further, informing her new friend that Gina had to call in a favor with Heather to even get her invited on the trip in the first place. Rather than see this as a gesture of Gina’s loyalty, Noella translates it into getting a “pity invite.” At this point, simply add it to the list of things she’s mad at Heather about.

Finally, all the ‘Wives come together for what will be their final dinner in Cabo. The table is beautifully set on the beach. There are sombreros for everyone, a tequila tasting and even a piñata. Dinner starts off on a nice note. Shannon gleefully dons her sombrero, Emily relives the story of the sweat lodge and Heather ends up offering Dr. Jen some welcome advice about how to fix the communication issues in her marriage. (Though their roles are reversed, the Armstongs seem to be in an eerily similar spot to where the Dubrows were during their earliest years on the show.)

However, the mood takes a turn once Shannon and her sombrero excuse themselves for the restroom, leaving the buffer between Heather and Noella wide open. Within seconds, the newbie can’t resist putting the pity invite accusation on the table. But when Heather uses the word “pornography” to try to explain why she didn’t feel comfortable inviting Noella due to the gift she gave Max Dubrow, it takes the pair’s bubbling feud to a new level.

Do I think the raunchy gift was an innocent mistake and Noella didn’t know what the cards said? Yes, absolutely. Do I understand the way Noella is choosing to react to the fallout? Not at all. You’d think the obvious thing to do in that situation is to appropriately mortified, apologize profusely and perhaps send a replacement gift for good measure. But no, not Noella! She immediately goes on the defensive, baring her teeth and accusing Heather of disapproving of her because she happens to be a biracial, bisexual liberal.

I’m sorry…what? How did we get here? To the point where Noella is throwing out phrases like “straight fragility”? Does she even know who she’s talking to? In a sea of perpetually blonde Republicans, Heather was perhaps the first East Coast liberal to ever join RHOC. They actually have more in common in terms of their belief systems than most of the other women on the show. And not only that, Heather has been an outspoken and proud ally and advocate for her kids, whom she points out are all across the rainbow when it comes to their identities. So yeah, not the move you think it is, Noella.

Meanwhile, all the other ‘Wives are literally trying to coach Noella through an appropriate apology for the gift. But to no avail. Not even giving her the benefit of the doubt works. (And for the record, Heather‘s absolutely allowed to be offended at the poor choice of gift, even if it was unintentional. And while plenty of people will debate the semantics, it’s possible for pornographic content to be more than just visual.) Instead Noella internalizes what Heather’s saying and takes it to a personal level. It literally takes Heather reads the cards out loud on her phone to shock Noella back to reality. Now she’s mortified. And though the newbie offers a meek, half-hearted apology, she still has to get the last word. Noella may have declared this issue “done,” but something tells me it’s just the start of more bad blood…

Meredith Marks Shares Hotel Receipts To Prove She Was At Her Father’s Memorial

It’s so hard to even figure out a place to start with Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. It is so chaotic, so dramatic and so incredibly wonderful. How could you not love this season? It’s giving us more in one season than other franchises have done in multiple seasons. And there’s good reason for that. Despite some side fighting (I’m sorry Whitney Rose, but we don’t care that Mary Cosby doesn’t like you), there is one looming issue. The epic arrest of Jen Shah on camera. And what, if anything, Meredith Marks had to do with it.

As we all know, Jen was tracked down by the FBI and Homeland Security while the women were waiting on a party bus to go to Vail on a cast trip. Jen fled before they arrived, but they ultimately caught up to her on the side of the road. But the knowledge that Jen was sitting in the parking lot of Heather Gay’s business brought up some conspiracy theories amongst the women. Mainly, where were Meredith and Mary when all this was happening?

Meredith has denied she had anything to do with tipping off the feds. She maintained that at the time, she was at her deceased father’s memorial. But as we saw in the last few episodes, some of her castmates weren’t buying it. Which is really sad, if I’m being honest. Now Meredith has had enough and is coming through with the receipts so everyone can stop the accusations. Meredith tweeted out a screen shot of the booking details she reserved for the memorial. The receipt listed the dates to corroborate Meredith’s account of what happened.

She added to the tweet, “Repulsive as it is, some are still commenting that I faked a memorial. I am not the fake of the group. I answered the question the first night asked at the white party. I went to Aspen on 3/28, had the memorial on3/29 and left for Vail that evening. Receipt below for my hotel.”

Her next tweet read, “For those of you who have kindly expressed your condolences for my loss, thank you for your kindness and compassion.” She ended it with a heart emoji. Whew guys, this is a rough one. While housewives isn’t exactly known for it’s compassion, there are some lines you just don’t cross.

I was especially shocked to see longtime “friend” of Meredith’s, Lisa Barlow, and Heather discussing their disbelief of what Meredith told them about the memorial. Heather said Meredith mentioned the memorial was on Monday. While Jen pointed out that she thought it was on Tuesday, which is the same day Jen was arrested. Jen also said that Meredith called in the middle of the memorial. So, with seemingly blind loyalty to Jen and a strong desire to flush out Meredith as a liar over the death of her father, the ladies won’t leave it alone.

And it might just be the last straw for Meredith, who has recently alluded to quitting the show because of the lies being spread about her. Regardless of what you think about Meredith, could you blame her?

Kyle Cooke Reacts To Paige DeSorbo And Ciara Miller Telling Amanda Batula To Call Off Wedding On Summer House

The Summer House mantra is that no matter what, summer should be fun. It doesn’t matter if COVID-19 is rampant and the Good Vibe Tribe is all working from home in the Hamptons. Or if there is a massive fight involving all of the roommates going on after a LoverBoy-fueled costume party. It’s alllllll about having fun. But based on the first few episodes of Season 6, it’s unfortunately not all fun and games for the Hamptons gang. Particularly when it comes to Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke as they get closer and closer to their wedding day.

Kyle got himself in time out with Amanda just one episode into Summer House Season 6. He was having a little too much fun going out and letting loose, so he ignored dozens of missed calls from his fiancé while all of his roommates were asleep at home. To make it worse, he had an adult temper tantrum and blamed it all on Amanda. It was obligatory for her good friends Ciara Miller and Paige DeSorbo to step in and say what we all were thinking — Amanda should’ve called off the wedding.

Cookie recently appeared on Watch What Happens Live to try to defend his behavior toward Amanda on the show. One fan asked Kyle to react to Paige and Ciara’s attempts to make Amanda a runaway bride. “I mean, obviously it cuts, you know, pretty deep,” Kyle admitted. “But I also know that they’re trying to be supportive of their friend.” Kyle’s like a dog with his tail between his legs. If Ciara and Paige didn’t step in, though, I’d question their commitment to the girl code.

But Kyle also admitted that it hurt to hear two people who are his friends say such a blunt truth. “It’s a complicated situation, I’m sorry,” he concluded. I love Kyle when Kyle is good, so I feel for him. Hopefully, watching his behavior on TV will help him dial back his antics now that he’s a married man. The last thing he wants to be is an Austen Kroll 2.0. He should aim to channel Carl Radke’s good boy energy instead. 

Honestly, the last thing that comes to mind when I examine the current Summer House drama is Hannah Berner. We got Andrea Denver and some cameos from Southern Charm pillow king Craig Conover in her place thanks to Paige’s dating game. And the OGs are definitely providing plenty of entertainment to keep us talking in between Monday nights.

Below Deck Season 9 Finale Recap: Petty Speedometer At 100,000

It’s certainly been an odd season of Below Deck. On one hand, it’s been tarnished by accusations of racism all season. On the other, we finally got to see a seemingly straight deckhand happily make out with his best friend, a gay stew. So yes, you could say there have been lows and highs. And so maybe it’s fitting that the season comes to an equally bizarre and convoluted end this week. But at least I can say I think I enjoyed it more than Season 8? Maybe? The good thing, anyway, is that even following a season that’s been hard to watch at times, there’s always another season in the Med or on a sailboat around the corner…

At the top of the finale, Chef Rachel Hargrove is still upset about ice cream. Specifically, she’s unhappy that Heather Chase asked Eddie Lucas, dressed as Alexander Hamilton, to bring the dessert to the beach picnic before the guests had finished eating. This despite the fact that the chief stew was merely doing what the chef asked. And radio’d Eddie right in front of her. Now the ice cream is at risk of melting. The guests hardly even notice the snipping among the crew. Though Heather doesn’t take kindly to Rayna Lindsey trying to shush her. It’s the end of the season and everyone is on each other’s nerves.

Back on M/Y Seanna, Wes O’Dell is attempting to flirt with Kaylee Milligan. But the new third stew doesn’t compare to the old third stew in Wes’ eyes. He misses Jessica Albert. Plus, his invitation to come hang out on the swim platform is dashed by the guests’ imminent return from the beach picnic, anyway. For dinner, Heather‘s come up with an idea to take the guests’ Hamilton obsession a step further. Now she wants Eddie and Jake Foulger to recreate the Founding Father’s death by duel at the hand of Aaron Burr…(sir). The first officer and lead deckhand are all about it. But Captain Lee Rosbach clearly isn’t a fan. Either that or he just hates Hamilton.

The guests have requested Captain Lee to join the glitzy formal dinner on their last night. But down in the galley, things are far less glamorous. Rachel‘s been stuck in a stress spiral since the beach picnic. And now she’s so tense that she’s demanding a silent galley for the duration of dinner service. That means no talking. No banter with Rayna. No joking around with Heather. It’s all business and she’s on a warpath. Not used to the chef’s intensity, poor Kaylee is terrified. Heather, on the other hand, misses the memo and her commentary on the food is less than appreciated. But even with dessert disaster involving untempered white chocolate, the final dinner is a success. And Rachel eventually apologizes to Heather in their cabin for being such a grouchy ball of nerves.

The next morning is the guests’ departure day. The crew has just one more breakfast service to get through! Well, that and the tension that’s still brewing between Heather and Rayna. The night before, the deckhand-turned-sous-chef wouldn’t even respond to a compliment from her sworn enemy. And at this point Heather’s at a complete loss about what to do. She’s tried apologizing to Rayna multiple times. And every time, the junior deckhand assures her that all is forgiven and everything’s great. Though clearly it’s not.

Since it’s the final docking, Captain Lee has a special treat planned for Eddie. The first officer gets to dock the mega-yacht all by himself! This is obviously something he’s never done before and the pressure is understandably nerve-wracking. What if Eddie crashes the boat? Naturally, the Below Deck gods throw him a curveball when the ship’s bow thrusters stop working. It even looks for a moment like Captain Lee might have to take over. But the off-camera engineer gets them working again at the last second and Eddie’s virgin docking is an ultimate success. Lee couldn’t be more proud.

The guests depart and the final charter of the season is officially over. But there’s still plenty of work to do. Captain Lee calls the crew together for their last tip meeting, revealing the crew made an additional $17,000. That adds up to a grand total of $147,000 in tips for the season. Now that’s a number worth jumping off the bow for. Which several of the crew members do in celebration. Jake, of course, is naked.

For their final night out, the crew doesn’t want to be anywhere near the water. So they turn into the jungle of St. Kitts, arriving at Caribelle Batik for a magical last meal. But right away, the passive aggressive jabs happening between Rayna and Heather put a damper on the evening. There’s tension over taking a group picture. Heather’s pointedly excluded, left to take the photo of everyone else. There’s tension when Heather reminds the crew not to judge a book by its cover regarding Kaylee‘s late stage arrival. Not even Eddie being willing to jump into a nearby fountain fully clothed can turn the mood around. Ultimately, Fraser Olender is left to mediate, trying to talk each of his friends down. But nothing he says can tone down Rayna’s pettiness at this point. He recognizes all Rayna wants to do is get under Heather’s skin and she’ll stop at nothing to do just that.

Ultimately, the animosity comes to a head over which car Kaylee will ride back to the boat in. Except it’s not about that at all, of course. Heather challenges Rayna to say how she really feels to her face instead of the little muttered digs she’s so good at throwing out behind her back. The chief stew also calls out the deckhand for never truly accepting her apology, and this is where things get heated. Voices are raised — Heather is essentially begging on her knees in a parking lot at this point. But according to Rayna, there will never be any forgiveness.

The rest of the crew tries to break up the argument. But Rayna‘s set off again when Wes tries to advocate for Heather and talk some sense into her. When Wes doesn’t fully take her side, Rayna lashes out by calling him “white” and denying that he’s really Black since he happens to be mixed race. Which is the lowest of blows to someone who’s done nothing but hear her out and support her behind the scenes all season long. But apparently no one’s opinion on the matter counts unless they blindly agree with Rayna holding her grudge against Heather to the bitter end.

Back on the boat, there’s no more fun to be had. So everyone goes to bed, with Rayna ending the night in Jake‘s cabin for one last cuddle. Bright and early the next morning, it’s departure day for the crew. But Wes isn’t going anywhere until he gets a chance to confront Rayna. He’s deeply hurt by her turning on him. But she’s insistent that he just doesn’t get it, willfully throwing every excuse she can think of in his face to dismiss and discount his own lived experience as a mixed race Black man. She doesn’t even any kind of apology, sincere or otherwise. But at this point, is that really surprising?

One by one, the crew say their goodbyes and leave M/Y Seanna behind. Wes can’t wait to get back to his beloved sail boat. Jake and Fraser — the season’s true love story — leave together for a holiday in Miami. And in a final twist, Heather and Rayna even hug it out as they say farewell. (Think that’ll last until the reunion?) Naturally, Captain Lee saves his last goodbyes for Rachel and Eddie, the latter of whom he admits he’s training to be a captain. Could Eddie become the new face of Below Deck? Guess we won’t find out until next season! Next week, the reunion!

Summer House Recap: Six Degrees Of Kristin (Cavallari)

The Fourth of July never ends in the Summer House. At least not at the end of an episode. Because the party is still in full swing at the top of the latest hour. Last we left off, everyone was drunk. Amanda Batula was still giving Kyle Cooke the patriotic cold shoulder. Andrea Denver had been kicked in his beautiful face. And Lindsay Hubbard was sauntering through the chaos kissing anyone she felt like — new housemate Alex Wach included. Ok, all caught up?

With Paige DeSorbo still tending to a wounded Andrea in his (now very wet) bed, the rest of the gang decides the Fourth of July festivities are over. So while Alex tries his best to fit into Lindsay’s shirt without his gigantic muscles ripping it to shreds, Amanda is busy ushering guests out of the party while offering goodbye shots all around. Democracy’s another year older, now get out! Only after everyone leaves does Carl Radke stop and realize it’s not just America’s birthday, it’s his six-month sobriety mark. Go Carl! 6.0 and six months sober. The entire Bravo fandom is rooting for you.

Kyle, however, hasn’t had much fun at this annual start of summer bash. Mostly on account of Amanda spending the whole party avoiding him and refusing to talk through their screaming match from the first night of the weekend. Danielle Olivera hasn’t either, considering she spent much of the party arguing with boyfriend Robert Sieber over how much time they can or cannot spend together this summer. And after everyone else goes to sleep with the house a post-party disaster, it turns out newbie Mya Allen can’t sleep until after she cleans the kitchen. So I guess that’s one less thing to deal with the next morning when everyone’s hung over.

Speaking of the next morning, it’s a Monday. Which means the Good Vibe tribe must head back to the city. But Amanda‘s not interested in making the four-hour trek to New York in a silent car with her fiancé. So instead of riding with Kyle, she tells him she’s getting brunch with the girls on the way and will drive back to the city with them. If Kyle didn’t know he was in the doghouse yet, he certainly does now.

The girls stop at The Hamlet in Hamptons Bay. (Quick side note: judging by Carl‘s morning run, the new house might be in Sag Harbor? The show hasn’t specified…) Over chicken fingers and fish tacos, the ladies of the house commiserate over their respective storylines problems. Paige is caught in the beginnings of a love triangle of her own making. But is juggling Andrea and Craig Conover such a bad spot to be in? Only if you’re Andrea, I suppose, who left the weekend thinking he and Paige are back on track and Craig isn’t much of a threat.

Ciara Miller, meanwhile is weighing the idea of a prospective fling with Carl against her latent feelings for Austen Kroll, who’s supposed to show up in the Hamptons the following weekend. What’s a girl to do? Go back to the Charleston Charmer who spent all winter flirting with her before making it clear he wasn’t interested in a relationship or take a chance on sane, sober and incredibly sexy Carl 6.0? And Amanda clearly has a major problem to fix when she gets back to real life in the city. Though after sleeping on it, she seems to be minimizing just how serious her issues with Kyle are to her friends, which is a definite red flag.

Over the course of the week, Ciara moves into her new apartment. And Paige and Craig go on their first official date in the city. Though we’re robbed of seeing the latter scene in anything other than a flashback, even though it includes the elevator make-out that teased the season at the end of Winter House. Let us experience the excitement of Craig and Paige’s relationship in full, editors! And by Thursday, Amanda’s finally ready to talk things out with Kyle. She’s worried he doesn’t see the toll his drinking is taking on their relationship; he thinks she doesn’t understand the amount of pressure and debut he’s under after taking out a $4.2 million loan to fund the growth of Loverboy. Kyle ends the conversation apologetic and in tears, promising to do better. But with just two months to go before they walk down the aisle, the couple’s relationship is clearly on thin ice.

If only every weekend would arrive as quickly as they do on this show. Because before you know it, it’s Friday and the housemates are once again headed to the Hamptons. On the drive out, Ciara relays disappointing news. Austen‘s not actually coming to the house for weekend number two. (Neither, it seems, is Luke Gulbranson, who’s nowhere to be seen for the third episode in a row. Maybe he’ll join the party next week?) So now, Ciara can focus all her attention on Carl.

Paige, on the other hand, is in for a potentially hazardous weekend of the romantic variety. For the next three days, she’ll be walking a tightrope between Andrea and Craig, on display for the entire house to see. The other wrinkle in this love triangle in-the-making is the fact that Andrea and Craig are genuinely friends. Like, good buddies. They spent the entirety of Winter House bonding, with the Southern Charm-er even inducting the Italian model as real-life American frat boy. (It was cuter in the flashback than it sounds, OK? Also, the scene seems to be one of the many from the missing week of footage from the spinoff that mysteriously never aired…)

Arriving at the house, the roomies kick things off with a pool day followed by a Mexican dinner. On account of the weather being 100 percent sunnier than the 65 degree rain they started the previous weekend with. Though before they can so much as unpack, Lindsay spills the tea to Carl that she met a guy in the city this week and is apparently going to Mexico with him in a few days time. Uhh, Hot Hubb Summer, I guess? And while a shirtless Alex crushes avocados into some semblance of guacamole, Robert arrives to surprise Danielle for their one-year anniversary. His sweet picnic of sour candy and pepperoni in the pool house seems to successfully make up for all the fighting they did last weekend.

After dinner, Craig makes his grand entrance. And both he and Paige are visibly giddy to see each other. It’s honestly adorable. But before the crew heads to Southampton Social, Andrea pulls his pal aside to clear the air about, you know, both of them liking the same girl. Andrea’s mostly hurt that he found out Craig and Paige were seeing each other through the grapevine. You know, rather than from his friend’s own mouth. And it didn’t help that his calls to talk to Craig about it went unanswered. And although the boys hug it out — they missed each other! — there’s definitely an underlying vibe happening. May the best man win!

And that man, for the time being, appears to be Craig, who spends the entire night out enamored with Paige. Lindsay claims to be surprised at just how much PDA the totally-not-exclusive couple is packing on at Southampton Social. Because last she heard via Instagram gossip, Craig was hooking up with a certain reality TV icon whose last name will be blurred and bleeped out this entire season. (I can’t help but get a kick out of thinking about Kristin Cavallari hitting Bravo with legal papers to keep her name off the show. Honestly…her power.) And once they get back to the house, Lindsay has no problem whatsoever planting the Kristin bug in Paige’s ear.

While Carl is out in the hot tub concluding that he’s not ready for his own inter-house love triangle, drama starts brewing inside. Hurricane Hubbard has struck again! However, the audio for the last five minutes of the episode is straight up bizarre. It’s going in and out, everyone sounds weirdly echoey. And I can’t help but wonder if some of the dialogue has been dubbed over in post-production — a classic trick of reality TV that was, ironically, pioneered on both Laguna Beach and The Hills…

Paige had seen the rumors about Kristin circulating on Deux Moi. But Lindsay claims she heard from Austen that very day that Craig‘s been hooking up with the Very Cavallari alum. All this time, Paige had assumed the rumors were actually about Austen. And now suddenly she’s found herself pitted in another love triangle against one of her favorite celebrities of all time. (And one who, mind you, perfected the art of the reality TV love triangle at the age of 16.) Craig tries to confront the situation head on, but calling Paige “weaker than [he] thought” for being manipulated by Lindsay is not the way to go about that, sweet Craigy. Paige feels like she looks like the fool, but Craig thinks Lindsay’s the “loser” for stirring the pot.

He also throws Austen under the bus by claiming Lindsay and his pal have been dating for the past four years while seeing other people. Uh, that wasn’t the story six months ago in Vermont! Mya accuses Craig of gaslighting Paige. But the episode ends with her sneaking into his room for a second, more private confrontation. One that doesn’t involve her friends standing guard or chiming in. And no talk of Austen and Lindsay, please. She just wants to know the truth. Who’s hooking up with Kristin: Craig or Austen? And Craig admits that, yes, he’s made out with her before. (And Austen, apparently, is seething with jealousy over it. Just by the way.) But is he still hooking up with Kristin now? That’s the juicy cliffhanger we’re left on until next week…

Carl Radke And Kyle Cooke Think That Ciara Miller Is Too Good For Austen Kroll

I feel the need to spend time drawing out a massive web to keep track of every hook-up, fling, and relationship going on in the Summer House and Southern Charm universe. Austen Kroll realized he caused enough trouble on Southern Charm thanks to his insane relationship with Madison LeCroy, so he’s moved on to torment a new pot of women. We saw it go down on Winter House, when Lindsay Hubbard and Ciara Miller were caught in a love triangle with Austen.

But Austen isn’t emotionally mature enough for a relationship, and he continues to prove that. Luckily, Lindsay finally snapped out of it and escaped from Austen’s spell. In my opinion, she’s winning — now she’s dating Carl Radke, who is like the opposite of Austen when it comes to being a good boyfriend. Austen and Lindsay won’t totally part ways before one last rendezvous in the Hamptons before Carl and Linds went official. And now, they are totally at odds. I haven’t even mentioned the love triangle we’re currently watching between Paige DeSorbo, Craig Conover and Andrea Denver. We’ll save that for another time because this already is already too much to follow.

While Austen and HubbHouse are on the outs, he’s never saying never to a future with Ciara. But once he’s “ready” for a relationship, which will probably be never. In a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Carlito and Kyle Cooke shared their opinions on whether or not Ciara and Austen would make a good couple. Even though Kyle is probably the last person to go to for relationship advice, considering he barely made it to the altar with Amanda Batula.

Andy Cohen asked Carl and Kyle point-blank if Ciara was too good for Austen. Obviously, they both said yes. Honestly, they responded almost faster than they did when they admitted they didn’t miss Hannah Berner filming the show one bit. It’s that serious.

I think anyone who watched 2 minutes of Winter House knows that Ciara is too good for Austen. Kyle, however, blames the long distance between them as the reason they wouldn’t be a serious couple. He admitted he thought they’d be a good match at one point, but it’s “very clear” now that they wouldn’t be. Finally, some sense from Kyle. Summer should be fun, but it’s never without a little mess along the way.

Artem Chigvintsev Drops Out Of Dancing With The Stars Tour Due To Injuries

Season 30 of Dancing with the Stars was ground-breaking. For the first-time a same-sex couple competed for the mirror ball trophy. Pop singer JoJo Siwa danced with pro Jenna Johnson, and they finished in second place for the season. Iman Shumpert and Daniella Karagach clinched the mirror ball trophy in a surprising upset. Their free style was epic.

Artem Chigvintsev, who took home the trophy in Season 29 of DWTS, danced with actress Melora Hardin last season. They were eliminated just before the finals, along with pro Sasha Farber and Olympian Suni Lee.

Melora truly deserved to be there, and both Artem and Melora voiced their disappointment. “The one thing that I felt really sad [about] … I don’t think there’s been, for the past I don’t know how many seasons, a person of [her] age make it this far,” Artem commented. “I don’t understand why people don’t get behind this.” I totally agree!

Melora felt that the judges’ scoring was a bit off. She remarked, “They said all these incredible things [about our dances], but then the scores didn’t match … which was a bit disappointing and upsetting.”

Now fans are dealing with more bad news. Page Six reported that Artem dropped out of the DWTS tour because of “unexpected health issues.”

Artem posted a statement to his Instagram detailing the news. “Hi DWTS family – My time on tour so far has been wonderful – unfortunately I am having to step away from tour for a while, due to some unexpected health issues,” Artem wrote. He did not clarify what type of medical issue he is dealing with.

The dance pro continued, “My goal is to recover as quickly as possible so I can rejoin my cast and crew on this incredible tour. Thank you for your patience and understanding. See you soon, Artem.”

A representative for the tour told Page Six “The DWTS: Live! Tour is continuing as planned with our cast of amazing pros — we wish Artem a speedy recovery and look forward to having him back in the show in the very near future.”

Artem’s fellow cast members flooded the comments section of his Instagram post with supportive messages. Gleb Savchenko wrote, “Please feel better, we all miss you so much and wishing you a speedy recovery.”

“Get well soon brother,” Keo Motsepe said. Sharna Burgess commented, “Love you Artem, feel better soon.”

“Wishing you a fast recovery,” Daniella wrote. “Rest up and get better soon man,” Pasha Pashkov posted. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba commented, “I hope you feel better soon Artem…”

Others who sent their good wishes included Sasha, Alan Bersten, Amanda Kloots, and Lindsay Arnold.

Artem’s fiancée, Nikki Bella, posted a simple heart emoji in the comments. Total Bellas star Nikki and Artem met on DWTS in 2017 when Nikki was engaged to John Cena. In 2019, Artem and Nikki went Instagram official. Artem popped the question a few months later, and in July of 2020 the couple welcomed a son.

In December of 2021, Nikki explained that the duo had to push back their wedding plans because of travel restrictions caused by Covid-19. “The one promise I made [Artem] before we can plan is that his parents can attend,” Nikki shared. “And with where the world’s at right now and trying to get two Russian parents into the country, it’s almost impossible.”

Jen Shah Shares Post Asking Fans To Pressure President Joe Biden To Pardon Jen From Fraud Allegations

Jen Shah continues to amaze me with her total detachment from reality. Sometimes, all of the drama surrounding Real Housewives of Salt Lake City almost makes me forget that Jen is about to be in court on trial for fraud and money laundering. Like, we all know that Jen was probably happy the moment Jennie Nguyen got exposed and fired from the show. It took the focus off of the horrible charges against her. Even during current episodes, when Jen makes digs at her co-stars or screams that she’s “not a criminal,” I momentarily cease to remember that this is a woman accused of stealing from elderly people. And she did so to fill her closet with jewels and fur coats. It’s almost too ridiculous to comprehend.

The red flags were there when looking at Jen’s track record. Aspects of her larger-than-life reality turned out to be nothing but smoke and mirrors. Some of her co-stars even admitted that Jen was vague and shady when it came to her business. Jen has a bad reputation around Salt Lake City — somehow even worse than her offensive tantrums on national TV.

Yet somehow, Jen is doing everything in her power to try to get out of these charges like it’s nothing. A judge rejected her request to dismiss the case after she claimed a Hulu documentary ruined her right to a fair trial. It also sounds like Stuart Smith might end up flipping on his former bestie boss. Her lawyers even quit at one point.

Meanwhile, Jen’s family even attempted to set up a GoFundMe to raise $2 million for Jen’s case, but that was a bust. Meanwhile, we’re watching RHOSLC scenes where Jen is seen one minute consoling her mother who is spending her retirement money in an attempt to help her daughter, and the next she’s bringing a glam squad to a girls’ weekend. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE.

Jen is following the footsteps of the reality stars before her who got in a little trouble with the law and attempted to get the sitting U.S. president to pardon them. Yes, it gets even harder to believe. Instagram user @realityvontease2 posted a screenshot of Jen’s Instagram story from a fan asking others to contact President Joe Biden and beg him to pardon her.

“@therealjenshah needs our help! Call or write @potus and beg him to pardon Jen Shah to ensure she is not wrongfully convicted! Remind President Biden That Jen Shah is innocent,” the post read. The fan also included a screenshot of ways to contact the White House. Who has the time to put effort toward trying to help JEN SHAH without getting paid from her? The feds allege that she’s an orchestrator in a massive and decades-long telemarketing scheme. SCAMS are involved here. I bet Heather Gay will email Joe Biden for Jen. Aside from that, no one in their right mind should.

I would believe that Meredith Marks really did call the feds on Jen before I’d believe that she will get pardoned. It didn’t work for Joe Giudice or Joe Exotic, so why Jen? Hopefully, Jen gets a grip during Season 3 of RHOSLC and grasps that she really is in danger of going to jail. So maybe she should stop the Erika Jayne-esque Instagram posts and start focusing on a game plan. But something tells me next season, she’ll still be preoccupied with everyone who isn’t as loyal as her No. 1 soldier Joe.

Erika Jayne Alters Instagram Caption After Fans Accuse Lisa Rinna Of Blackfishing

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are a lot of things, but in 2022, they are WORKING. The girls have already been filming the next season of the show because producers didn’t want to miss a minute of the Erika Jayne circus. Erika’s still in the midst of a $25 million lawsuit and a divorce from her (allegedly) shady lawyer husband Tom Girardi. But all Erika seems to be doing is trying to revive her “pop career” and looking for her next victim boyfriend. Oh, and acting totally delusional. Like, selling $700 at-home hair extensions levels of delusion. It can probably be described as a Pretty Mess, if you will.

The RHOBH ladies have been together a lot recently as a result of the show, meaning that Instagram is full of teasers. We know next season will be Erika-heavy, but there’s plenty of other drama going on in the meantime. Dorit Kemsley’s robbery, Kathy Hilton’s tiff with production, etc. As usual, Erika’s Instagram photos are stirring the pot with fans, but not in a fun way.

Erika and the RHOBH cast recently flooded our feeds with photos from a 70s party. For the girls that love glam, a theme is everything, so they went all out. Erika posted a snap of herself with Lisa Rinna, but Page Six reports that she changed the caption. Why, do you ask? Oh, because Rinna’s being Rinna and acting a fool. For once, it’s not for something that came out of her loose lips.

The original caption of the photo read “Donna and Jerry” in reference to Donna Summer (Lisa) and Jerry Hall (Erika). However, the current photo reads “Cher and Jerry” after fans accused Rinna of blackfishing. One fan wrote, “If that is Donna Summers…… Rinna be hitting up the black face!” It’s not hard to put two and two together when Erika literally spelled it out in the caption, so no wonder she changed it.

Another fan commented, “Lisa Rinna stay problematic #blackfishing.” Let’s remember that Rinna’s daughter Amelia Hamlin has been accused of the same thing in the past — channeling Black aesthetics through makeup, fashion or other measures. Other fans refuted that Rinna could be a victim to a poor choice in an Instagram filter or a poorly-done spray tan. But the buzz was enough to check Erika’s behavior online, which isn’t something she does often. Her methods usually include turning off comments to avoid hearing anyone but herself at all.
