Erika Jayne Dismissed From Fraud Lawsuit Against Her In Illinois

Erika Jayne is finally receiving some good news in court. As we all know, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has been overrun with legal cases. All of this stems from the downfall of her husband, Tom Girardi. Once a highly respected lawyer, Tom stands accused of fraud and embezzlement. Erika filed for divorce from him in November of 2020. This took place right before the news broke that he would be charged for misappropriating client funds. While Erika maintains her innocence, she has been accused of orchestrating a “sham” divorce. All in an attempt “to fraudulently protect Tom’s and Erika’s money from those that seek to collect on debts owed by Tom and his law firm GK.”

Now, one of the more notable lawsuits against Erika is being dismissed, as reported by Page Six. Tom, along with Erika, were sued by Edelson PC, a class-action law firm in December of 2020. The firm is representing a number of Lion Air plane crash victims that claim Tom embezzled their settlement funds. The funds were from Boeing, who settled with the victims in a wrongful death suit. The suit was headed up by Tom and his firm, who represented the victims. The Illinois lawsuit also accuses Tom of using those funds to upkeep his lavish lifestyle with Erika.

Legal documents regarding the dismissal of this case read, “Pursuant to stipulation, plaintiff’s claims against defendants EJ Global LLC and Erika Girardi are dismissed without prejudice and without costs.” The ruling was made only one day after both parties agreed that “dismissal is appropriate.”

Erika’s attorney, Evan Borges immediately made a statement. He said, “I’d like to see Edelson and everyone else take the high road going forward and not make accusations against Erika without evidence.” He continued, “We want Edelson to get the most complete picture of the evidence as possible, and have no issue with further investigation. But the truth matters. Here, the truth is that Erika had no role in the Lion Air dealings, actions, or inaction as between the attorneys and their clients, and she never received any of the Lion Air client settlement funds.”

Evan noted that Edelson PC has the right to refile against Erika in California. But he also added that her dismissal “from the federal lawsuit that triggered bankruptcies of Girardi Keese and Tom Girardi is extremely important.”

But while this is a big one, Erika’s legal problems are far from over. Both in the courts and in the court of public opinion. She was recently accused of not coughing up $1.4 million earrings that Tom gave her during their marriage. The accusation comes from the firm investigation Tom’s financial records for his bankruptcy case. The trustee is demanding Erika return the earrings, but she has yet to comply. A motion was filed asking the court to force Erika to give back the earrings within 5 days.

Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City Recap: A Barlegend Is Born

Last week, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City ended on a surprisingly feel-good note. But if you think the good vibes from Club Zion would last, you’re sadly fooling yourself. Because all it took was less than 24 hours for the group dynamic to spiral once again into chaos. Do these women, uh, despise each other? Because it’s sure starting to feel like it.

The wild night at Club Zion could’ve been the perfect note on which to end the Mother’s Day getaway. But we still have two more days in Zion, so the trip must go on. As someone who grew up just outside of the national park, I can tell you there’s much more to do there than sit in a villa screaming at each other about who turned Jen Shah into the feds. And so the women split up in classic Housewives style for a day of excursions. And also to rehash all the drama that’s gone down away from the group as a whole.

While Jen and Whitney Rose go ATV riding, the strange trio of Meredith Marks, Mary Cosby and Jennie Nguyen prefer a day at the spa. And then there’s the oddest couple of all, Lisa Barlow and Heather Gay, who show off their abilities to both canter and gallop by going horseback riding before living out their best Britney Spears fantasy like they’re on the set of “I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman.” (For the record, that video was actually filmed at Antelope Canyon in Page, Arizona, which is another couple hours of driving from my hometown past Zion. There are the types of important details you come to these recaps for, right?)

It’s quite interesting seeing Heather and Lisa film alone together for what I’m *pretty* sure is the first time all season. And it seems after the terrible dinner the night before, Heather’s starting to see her sometime nemesis in a different light. All season long, Meredith has expected Lisa’s unwavering support in her feud with Jen. In fact, both women have very nearly demanded that Lisa pick a side, rather than attempt to play peacemaker or try to be a good friend to both. And now Heather is finally seeing that Lisa frankly isn’t getting the same type of support in return.

In all of their interactions with Lisa, it’s always about what either Meredith or Jen is going through. They’ve both screamed at her, discounted her feelings, and demanded more from her. Add in Meredith’s seemingly blind (and confusing) loyalty to Mary over her supposed best friend of 10-plus years, and it makes for a bizarre dynamic. Heather also has questions about the memorial for Meredith’s father. Meredith apparently told her the service was on Monday, the day before the trip to Vail. But Lisa was under the impression it was on Tuesday, the same day that Jen was arrested. She even called her on the phone in the middle of the memorial! Hmm..is it a miscommunication or could Meredith be lying to one of them?

Whitney and Jen, meanwhile, are asking the same questions. Is Meredith using her father’s memorial as a cover-up for something else? The convenient reason she didn’t ride in the van to Vail, perhaps? Whitney also tries to dig into her theory about Meredith and Jen sharing a secret boyfriend, but Jen claims there wasn’t anything more to the story last season about Meredith dating other people…

Meredith herself has no idea any of these conversations are even happening, of course. Because she’s busy getting a massage with mortal enemies Mary and Jennie. At Five Petals Spa, the trio try to make small talk, but even that basic level of interaction quickly gets awkward. Jennie apologizes to Meredith for spilling the tea to Jen about the private investigator. She claims she wasn’t trying to hurt Meredith, but given the weird fixation the now-fired newbie has had on the issue since Vail, I’d say that’s hard to believe.

Mary has no idea what Jennie‘s talking about when she relays the status of her marriage to Meredith over the whole sister wife drama. (Newsflash: Duy Nguyen refuses to go to therapy.) And when Meredith and Jennie ask the simple question of whether she’s talked to Robert Cosby Sr. during the trip, Mary is a closed vault. Claiming she refuses to talk about her family in front of Jennie, she excuses herself from the conversation entirely rather than make any attempt to open up or bond. Like I said…awkward.

That night, Jen throws a Mexican-themed dinner to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Supposedly it’s in honor of Mary calling her a Mexican thug in Vail. Which is…a hilarious way to turn the racist insult on its head. The dinner, however, is no laughing matter to Meredith, who wonders to Whitney how the hostess is paying for the party, given that she’s publicly declared to the federal government that she has exactly “zero” assets in her name. If Jen’s financed the dinner with dirty money that’s been allegedly stolen from the pockets of hundreds of elderly victims, Meredith’s not interested in participating. And yet, she dons her boldest crushed orange velvet pantsuit and joins the other ‘Wives for dinner anyway…

To make things even more uncomfortable, Jen kicks the meal off by presenting each of the ladies with a diamond snowflake necklace. Remember, the gifts she was supposedly bringing for everyone in Aspen? Yeah, those. There’s an even bigger question mark in the air about whether Jen paid for this extravagant jewelry with fraudulent funds, but Meredith doesn’t turn her nose up at the gift immediately, either. Instead, she rather coolly thanks her for it!

Between the quesadillas and margaritas, the dinner starts on a sour note when Mary goes into the villa for a jacket but ungraciously refuses Whitney‘s request to bring blankets back for the rest of the group. Watch out, Mary’s clearly in one of her moods. While she’s away from the table, Jennie fills the women in on how the First Lady treated her at the spa. And surprise, surprise! Meredith rushes to Mary’s defense. So when Mary returns (with a jacket and no blankets), Whitney decides to ask her point blank: does she like Jennie? Without missing a beat, the answer is a curt “No.” And she’s not about to apologize for it.

The confrontation starts with all the reasons Mary and Jennie dislike each other, but Heather quickly gets dragged into the fray after pointing out how rude Mary was to Jennie even just that morning over breakfast. While the husbands gifted this trip to the group, Mary throws it in Heather’s face that she doesn’t have one. Which…yikes. Low blow, Mary. And Heather eschews Michelle Obama’s advice by going just as low to remind Mary that her husband is her step-granddaddy, thank you very much. (All Jen can do is sit back and watch the barbs fly across the table with a smile.)

At the other end of the table, Lisa jumps in to point out Mary‘s cruelty to Meredith. But her bestie remains unfazed as Mary then turns her ire on Lisa. Which leads to the queen of Sundance exploding and positively reading Mary for filth. She reads Mary up and down for everything from her verbal abuse and questionable character to the allegations about her church and her dwindling congregation. Hilariously, Mary’s only retort is that Lisa likes to eat Taco Bell. Which in Mary Land somehow equates to Lisa having “no depth.” Uh…ok, Mary. Nice try, Taco Bell is untouchable.

Caught (literally) in the middle, Meredith once again does absolutely nothing to stand up for her best friend. Because at this point it’s clear: for some unknown reason, her loyalty is to Mary above all else. Even when she’s calling Lisa “the devil” and a “chihuahua.” Not a peep. The other women start pointing out Mary’s glaring hypocrisy in claiming to be a woman of God while treating people the way she does. This season, she’s been unpredictably cruel, callous and condescending to just about every other Housewife. Besides Meredith, of course. But Mary doubles down — and basically breaks down the fourth wall in the process — by claiming that none of these women are actually friends. At best, they’re co-workers she’s being paid to be around. Again, other than Meredith. Of course.

At this, Whitney tries to force Meredith‘s feet to the fire. Does she condone the way Mary‘s been speaking to Lisa? Her best friend of 10 years? What about telling Jennie she doesn’t matter? Is that leading with love and kindness in Meredith’s view? But rather than take a stance, Meredith plays Switzerland, and tries to talk her way around making Mary’s verbal abuse of the others somehow OK. And seeing this leads Lisa to her breaking point. She retreats from the table in tears. Then, barricading herself in her room, we are treated to a hot mic moment that just might signal the end of Lisa and Meredith’s decade of sisterhood. It also holds the high (or low) honor of outdoing basically every other hot mic caught in the history of Bravo. To end the recap, I present it below in full:

“Meredith can go f–k herself. I’m done with her. ‘Cause I’m not a f–king whore, and I don’t cheat on my husband. Her and her dumb f–king family that poses. Why don’t you own a house? Wait, you can’t. ‘Cause your husband changes jobs every five minutes? Fake Meredith is a piece of s–t. ‘I have your back,’ and I’m offended by that. F–k you! That f–king piece of s–t garbage whore. I f–king hate her! She’s a whore; she’s f–ked half of New York! She can go f–k herself [opens door and emerges from bathroom]. Here, you can have your mic back [tosses mic to producer off-camera].”

Kelly Dodd Says Bravo Should Have “Better Vetted” Jennie Nguyen Before Hiring Her

Kelly Dodd is no stranger to controversy. In fact, the former Real Housewives of Orange County star has made a living off of it. While she was still employed as a housewife, Kelly made insensitive comments about the coronavirus and mocked the Black Live Matter movement with a silly hat. Both fans and Bravo had enough of antics. But that hasn’t deterred Kelly one bit. Since her firing, she’s become even more unhinged. She’s made transphobic comments on Instagram and even claimed that Heather Dubrow’s minor child gave her covid.

Now that Kelly isn’t under Bravo’s watchful eye, she’s free to be her fully offensive self. She started a podcast with her husband, Rick Leventhal, where they talk about….housewives. Yep, that’s her content. For someone who continuously made jabs about the network and how they treated her, she sure does love talking and profiting off it.

So of course, where there is housewives scandal, there’s Kelly adding her two cents. As reported by Page Six, Kelly took to a recent episode of her YouTube channel to discuss the firing of Jennie Nguyen. The now former Real Housewives of Salt Lake City newbie found herself in a firestorm of controversy after racially offensive memes from her old Facebook account resurfaced.

As far as Kelly is concerned, it comes down to vetting and background checks that Bravo should have done. Said Kelly, “Should they have better vetted Jennie? Probably. But that’s on them.” She then distanced herself from any comparisons. Kelly added,“This is about Bravo and Andy Cohen, not me. This is their brand and their business. If they feel they need to fire her, that’s their decision. I don’t work for them anymore. I did, and they fired me, and a lot of people think they fired me for the wrong reasons but that was Bravo’s choice.”

Kelly continued to make sure that no one gets her confused with Jennie and her actions. She stated, “Don’t lump me in with this chick. I don’t know her and I’m not getting involved in what she did or didn’t say. I don’t know if she’s racist but I do know I am not!” Kelly concluded, “I know what racism feels like. I grew up Mexican on the west side of Phoenix with a very diverse group of friends, and I still have a very diverse group of friends.”

Scheana Shay Shades The Woman James Kennedy’s “Casually” Seeing Following Split From Raquel Leviss

Raise your glasses high because Vanderpump Rules Season 9 is officially done. Both parts of the reunion delivered the goods, so I’m hopeful the story will continue in a tenth season. Part 2 of the reunion focused on Lala Kent and Randall Emmett’s demise. Raquel Leviss and Lisa Vanderpump were on fire! Raquel called out Lala for being Rand’s mistress and LVP spoke about the karmic fallout that comes with that. It’s about time Lala’s people reminded her of how she started.

The first part of the reunion was focused on James Kennedy and Raquel’s shocking split. Literally no one on stage saw it coming and their emotions were very real. The only person who wasn’t sad about James and Raquel’s break-up was Raquel’s dad! That man was so damn happy for his daughter to be free of James. It gave me the warm and fuzzies to see him pick Raquel up after filming, and say, with every ounce of confidence, that her life was only going to get better. Seriously, who can disagree with him? Well maybe, James, but it looks like he’s already seeing someone. And not everyone’s on board with it.

In an exclusive interview with E! News’ Daily Pop, Scheana Shay talked about filming the reunion and James and Raquel’s split. “It was a complete shock that they were breaking up.” It was definitely a shock to everyone on Pump Rules, considering the fact that the season revolved around their engagement.

Scheana continued, saying, “The fact that [Raquel] said, ‘We’re breaking off the engagement,’ I thought, okay, they’re just putting a pause on the wedding they actually hadn’t even started planning, and were just going to focus on their relationship, maybe do couples therapy or something. So, I was shocked that they called it off completely.”

Still, Scheana saw some “warning signs.” She told Daily Pop, “In hindsight when you really look at everything, it’s not that shocking.” Scheana apparently was “making reference to James “past behavior” and “how things had been going over the past few months.”

It seems like James is over the shock of the split because he “was just recently spotted holding hands with a new woman.” We don’t know her name or anything else, but, “a source told E! News” that James is only “casually seeing” this person. They asked Scheana what she thought about James’ new woman friend, but she said, “I don’t even want to give her, like, any clout.”

Then Scheana threw shade at James and his lady friend, “She’s a fan.” Haha! I love it so much. But it’s even better considering the fact that no one at the reunion believed Brock Davies when he said he didn’t know who Scheana was before they started dating. Something tells me Brock was a big fan of both Scheana and her bank account.

Teresa Giudice Wants To Invite Joe Giudice To Her Wedding

Next Tuesday will be the season premiere of the latest season of Real Housewives of New Jersey and we will get to see Teresa Giudice all loved up with her fiancé Luis Ruelas. Not to get too ahead of ourselves, but the next season after that could see us watching Teresa walk down the aisle (or could she get her own spin off?). Regardless, it seems like Teresa and Luis are in full on wedding planning mode and are currently nailing down the perfect location for their nuptials after getting engaged in October 2020.

The couple told E! News that they are currently considering two locations to host their big day – New Jersey of course, and Capri in Italy, a beautiful island close to where Teresa’s family originally hails from. Whilst the bride to be ponders about her location, it seems like the potential guest list is also on her mind.

Teresa teased about who she could invite including whether her co-stars would be getting an invite to the Bravo wedding of the year- “I mean, the way it’s looking I don’t think so. Some definitely, I don’t know about some of the others.” Can’t wait for season 12 to give us the tea as to where Tre’s allegiances lie. But it looks like we won’t be seeing Melissa Gorga or Dolores Catania as bridesmaids as the couple decided they won’t be having any bridal parties participating in the ceremony.

However, it seems that one person who I admittedly didn’t think would be in consideration for an invite could see himself scoring a seat at the wedding – no other than Teresa’s ex-husband himself, Joe Giudice. “Oh definitely, yeah, definitely,” Teresa shared when asked about whether he would be invited. “Of course, I have to invite him because our hometown is like 45 minutes from Capri” she added. Considering Joe was deported from the U.S. and cannot come back anytime soon, to have him there would mean the location would have to be in Capri.

It seems as though the blending of both families is going well with Teresa and Luis stating that kids from both sides of the family would play a part in the wedding, and that Luis and Joe get on really well. When asked about the father of her children getting along with her new fiancé, she said “Luis and Joe get along and we went to go see him in the Bahamas. Luis reached out to Joe, DM’d him saying we’re coming out there to pick up Audriana [Giudice] together, can we all have dinner together.”

Teresa continued, “So we had dinner together and it made my daughters really happy. And it really wasn’t my doing, it was Luis’ doing and I love him even more for that. He’s pretty amazing. It was really nice and it made my daughters so happy. I was so nervous about it but thank God it all worked out and it was a beautiful thing because my daughters were so happy.”

After the rough few years that Teresa had with losing her parents, serving time in prison and seeing the end of her marriage, this is the feel good stuff we always wished for her to have. It’s nice to know that everyone is playing happy families, but I still can’t see Joe Giudice watching them say I do…but maybe that’s the kind of TV we need for season 13.

Vanderpump Rules Season 9 Reunion Part 2: Give Them A Million Excuses

Is anyone else still reeling from part one of the Vanderpump Rules reunion? Time stood still when Raquel Leviss handed James Kennedy back the engagement ring. The entire thing was incredibly uncomfortable to watch, but GREAT TV. Nobody in the room saw it coming. The announcement catches everyone off guard, and it’s going to be a moment remembered for many years to come.

Once Upon A Tom

Things immediately pick back up in the middle of Tom Sandoval’s war of words with Katie Maloney. These two don’t mesh whatsoever. They never will. However, it gets sickening watching Tom Schwartz attempt to silence his wife. He never really allows her to speak her mind.

Raquel apologizes to Katie for going on TV and saying she’s bored with her life. In all fairness, Katie’s not trying to have Schwartz out there making stupid decisions that could harm her in the future. Whatever happens to him, happens to her. It’s as simple as that.

Ariana Madix chimes in that it’s bullshit, but she’s not married, so why is she even commenting. It’s not going to affect her the same way it would Katie. She has no real legal ties to Sandoval. If he goes and loses everything, at the end of the day, she’s still going to be safe. Sometimes she comes off like a know it all, and it gets aggravating to watch.

As of now, Katie continues to have zero involvement with the bar. I get why he doesn’t want her involved. That’s messy as hell. If things go south, it can cause a litany of issues down the line. It’s best to steer clear of that sort of mishap entirely because it’ll make it much worse.

Raquel Nose Best

Raquel defends her decision to get a nose job which was quite the hot topic this season. Her nose looks incredible now and looked good before too. It was a bit perplexing that she feels such a desire to alter herself like that. Although, if that’s what makes her feel more confident, then all the power to it.

James tries to explain his urging Raquel to avoid the surgery. He felt she looked beautiful the way it was, so she didn’t need to go under the knife. However, his delivery (as per usual) was dreadful and made things a whole lot worse. It was coming off like such a douchebag at points this season.

James loses his cool while being forced to defend himself for comments during the season. Stating that Raquel would leave him if his face was ever messed up stirred up so much trouble. He’s referring to plastic surgery, but people like Scheana Marie have to take it to a deep level about him getting disfigured in an accident. What’s the point of going to such extremes? The man is already in a volatile emotional state. Why poke the bear?

I don’t know why everyone takes such great pleasure in provoking him. Brock Davies & Scheana are doing it the most at this reunion. Worry about your shitty relationship with your opportunistic man, and leave James alone.

Raquel cites James’ explosive temper as a big issue leading to her family’s dislike of him. James fires back and discusses her father getting drunk on Thanksgiving and having a go at him over hiking boots. It seems odd to focus on something so trivial. Why so negative?

No matter what James does to better himself, he’s never going to be liked by her family. It sucks because you can only do so much before you crack. If they’re not willing to accept him for who he is, it makes it impossible for them to have a successful and healthy relationship. It’s a stressor that’ll always remain present.

James doesn’t think anyone in Raquel’s family ever really accepted him. He was seemingly trying his best to be a better man for her. However, there’s something behind the scenes that we don’t know about. I don’t want to further speculate on what that could be, but it’s obvious.

Brocky Road To Freedom

The first time Brock met Scheana, he allegedly had no idea who he was. I don’t believe that for a damn second. What a load of BS. I can’t take this man seriously anytime he opens his mouth.

Brock explains himself regarding his lack of child support payments. He argued with his ex about having access to the kids, and when she received government support, he started paying. Eye roll. Let’s not lie here. Holy shit, this man is full of it. Get a job.

Brock’s still not in contact with his children. He’s been paying child support for years now, so what’s the hold-up? Things don’t add up when it comes to Brock’s family situation. Obviously, anything coming out of my mouth is purely speculation, but it’s murky at best. You can’t listen to him speak and not question what he’s saying.

Lala Kent says looking back, she’s not in any place to judge Scheana’s relationship with Brock. She feels terrible for the way she treated him. What a 180. At least their friendship is in a decent place. It’s nice to see something in this group not turn to shit for once.

Everyone in the group heard rumors about Randall Emmett. Nobody cared to share any of those rumors with Lala though. In their defense, if anyone tried to share with her what they knew, she’d bite their heads off. She didn’t want to know. It’s easy for her to say the opposite now.

Lala claims she first learned about Randall’s alleged betrayal when Katie told her about the photos. She thought he was loyal to her, but it’s clear that wasn’t the case. Tough to watch.

It doesn’t surprise Raquel. She knew Lala as Randall’s mistress, so it was history repeating itself. Lisa Vanderpump says “sometimes the way you get them is the way you lose them”. What an accurate statement!

Why does Brock keep interrupting Lala? Let the woman speak. There’s no reason to chime in after every single world. There’s a part of Lala’s speech that sounds disingenuous, but let her have the floor. We had to listen to your babbling about why you don’t see your children.

Rude Engagements

Brock’s desire to have a free wedding for him and Scheana is gross. To go further than that, why is he spending so much on her ring when he owes so much on child support? Bro. Get your priorities straight.

Everything about their attempt to upstate James & Raquel’s engagement weekend was tacky and gross. You don’t do that. Everyone knows that it’s not okay. Scheana doesn’t understand why it was wrong for them to do. She has an obsession with having a moment for herself that it’s blinding everything.

The entire left side of the room is out of their fucking mind. Raquel’s trying to be cool about it, but picking a better moment would’ve been better. That’s not what you do to friends. Brock & Scheana would’ve gone through with everything if Sandoval didn’t back out. That’s obvious.

The lack of self-awareness exhibited by Scheana season after season is fascinating. She somehow doesn’t show any real growth or change. In addition to her, Ariana throwing a fit because Katie says she doesn’t care about engagements and weddings is hilarious. Is it not the truth? When has any of that ever excited her? She gets so mad she throws the ear piece for Lala’s communication on the floor. Sure, let’s end the reunion by acting like a toddler.

Married At First Sight Recap: – Bliss, Brunches and Brawls…Oh My!

The five newly Married At First Sight couples spend their first night together. Then each spouse meets with their new friends and in-laws to get more insight on their new spouse. Things definitely get a little more interesting. I knew things start to heat up on the honeymoon, but I just didn’t expect it to happen as soon as the group lands. People are starting to let their true personalities show and it’s not always well received. One thing that is apparent, the experts haven’t stopped including a toxic person every season. I will let you guess who that person is in this cast.

One bride refuses to interact with her husband. A groom is left sad and confused when his realizes his marriage may have ended before it even starts.  A couple is excluded from the group, when there is an argument with another couple.  Let’s get straight into the recap!

Noi and Steve

Noi gets emotional while speaking with Steve’s parents. She was impressed with her husband’s openness to wearing her traditional garb at their wedding. His father pulls no punches when he asks her thoughts about his son being unemployed. Noi takes it in stride and responds that she is sure they will get on the same page. Steve is grilled by Noi’s brother about everything from career, finances and children.  Right now, these two are definitely in the exciting phase of a new relationship. I know Noi values stability while Steve is a bit more adventurous. He seems confident he will start working, at least in a freelance capacity. But for someone who values travel and experiences, I don’t see him sitting a desk for too long. But who knows, maybe they will find a way to both compromise.

Alyssa and Chris

Chris is still confused as to what he could have done to cause his wife to be so uncomfortable with him. When they arrive to their hotel room, he tries to speak more about the situation, but Alyssa declines. Talk about awkward! Wow, this is so unfair to keep this guy in the dark. Nothing was said at the wedding that should have upset her so much to treat him this way. Honestly, I think she is just doing this because she isn’t comfortable staying the night with the stranger. Why not tell him this, rather than have him wonder what he did wrong the entire night.

In a post interview, Chris shares that he and Alyssa spoke off camera, the night before. When he questioned her further, she admits they just don’t “vibe.” The next day, they speak again on camera and he accuses her of checking out. Duh! I don’t know any other way to describe it. Things get messy when clips are shown of her talking about her expectations. In one clip she talks about liking nice teeth and then they show Chris’. The shade, Lifetime! I think it’s pretty apparent that she isn’t attracted to him.  Alyssa is looking for any reason to take a step back. But she claims she is willing to see how things go, no matter the outcome. I call bs! If you aren’t open to truly getting to know someone despite their looks, why audition for this show?

I feel so bad for Chris. He had to go meet with Alyssa’s family and tell them that he was just told by his wife she only wanted to be friends. Her mom seems saddened by the news and encourages him to remain hopeful.  Meanwhile, Alyssa meets with his mom and friends and acts as if everything is okay. Sigh! I really don’t like this woman, at this point. She isn’t taking this process seriously, at all. Everything about him seems to annoy her, despite him trying so hard to make her comfortable.

After being ignored since the wedding, Chris tries once again to see if his “wife” is willing to act like she is married to him. He is beyond frustrated that they have only spent a total of forty minutes together. She isn’t even willing to share a room for the honeymoon. He confronts her on her unwillingness to give him a chance. He knows she is disappointed by the match and just has given up. She denies everything and storms off, when he says that she isn’t telling the truth.  She is even mad that he didn’t lie to her mother about the state of their relationship. SMH… Why the hell did the experts pick this woman?  Why do these abusive people keep being allowed on this show? It seems like every season there is a person like this who gets off on humiliating their spouse.

Katina and Olajuwon

Olajuwon meets with Katina’s family and starts off the conversation with telling them he needs to work on cuddling. Sigh1 One of her male friends gets right down to business and wants to understand his intentions. This friend definitely has Katina’s back because he isn’t letting Olajuwon bs his way through the conversation. Meanwhile, she meets with her husband’s biggest cheerleader who passes on the title to her.

As soon as the couples land in Puerto Rico there is an incident with Lindsey. According to Olajuwon he was approached by her on whether he knew Spanish. He tells her he doesn’t speak Spanish fluently, so he is just going to speak English. Lindsey proceeds to tell him he should speak Spanish since it’s the native language to which he responds “worry about your husband.” Due to the spat, Lindsey and Chris take a bus alone rather than ride with the other couples. Honestly, that is such a stupid thing to fight about. I’m not sure how the conversation escalated, but it seems like it could have been easily avoided.

Lindsey and Mark

On their first night together, Mark opens up to Lindsey about his mother’s depression. She listens and appreciates his that he was comfortable to be so vulnerable with her. The next morning, they continue getting to know each other. Later, she meets with her hubby’s family to gain more insight about him.  Chris’ family gives her some tips, but ultimately they love that her personality will help to open him up.

Mark receives a Lindsey survival kit from her friends and family. Lmao! Although they love her, they are very candid with him about needing to reel her in at times. I can definitely see how her in your face personality could be a lot at times. But, I really like that she is unapologetically herself. I don’t know how that will affect their marriage, but right now Chris seems up for the challenge.

Once they arrive at the hotel, Lindsey is still very upset about her interaction with Olajuwon. She feels like they were joking and things went too far.  Mark decides to try to de-escalate the situation and goes to meet the other couples. Olajuwon immediately apologizes to him and agrees to move on. Katina isn’t as forgiving. She will continue to be cordial, but doesn’t want to interact with Lindsey for too long. Geesh! Did something else happen beyond what was said? I would think this could be easily resolved.

Mark returns to the room and gives Lindsey a version of events from the peace meeting that may not exactly be accurate. In other words, he came back with a much nicer version. But I appreciate he wanted to make sure his wife feels comfortable and understands how her actions led to the events that took place. I have a feeling that he may have a lot more of these types of conversations in store for him during this marriage.

 

Jasmina and Michael

Jasmina sits down with Michael’s family and she seems to fit right in. If I wasn’t paying attention, I would think she was with her own family. But within the conversation, a few red flags come up. Michael sometimes can think the worst and Jasmina has only been in long distance relationships. Both can be a recipe for disaster down the road, if they don’t learn to compromise and communicate. Meanwhile, Michael speaks with his wife’s family. He admits that he hasn’t ever seen an example of a good marriage and tries to reassure his mother-in-law of his intentions.

There must be something in the water in Puerto Rico.  Michael and Jasmina discuss the confrontation between Lindsey and Olajuwon and have their first disagreement. Michael’s perspective is that when you don’t know people, there is always a possibility of conflict until you know a person’s boundaries. Okay, makes sense so far. Jasmina emphatically disagrees and says she doesn’t go into situations expecting conflict. Huh? In a post interview, she references his sister’s comment about him being negative at times as the reason the conversation bothered her. Sigh! Does everyone need a nap after the flight? This is such a non-issue. I don’t think Michael’s comments were coming from a negative place, just a realistic one. He also was giving everyone in the situation some grace, which could be seen as optimistic. When you take strangers and put them together in close quarters of course there will be issues as you get to know each other. To his point, I don’t think Lindsey set out to make anyone angry, she just may not have realized how her comments would affect them. Either way, it’s a little too early to be declaring war because you have a different way of thinking.

CBS’s Celebrity Big Brother 3 Cast

It’s been a few months since CBS made the official announcement that Celebrity Big Brother US would make its grand return. The hit CBS spin-off series went on a brief hiatus, but now it’s back, just in time for some great winter TV programming. Celebrity Big Brother 3 US could be just what you need to make staying at home a lot more fun. As usual, this Big Brother TV show is slightly different from the main series. Unlike civilian Big Brother, this show includes a house full of players with some notoriety either in the film and TV industry, reality tv giants, fashion world, or sports arena.

These celebrities will also only have to deal with the Big Brother madness for a few weeks, unlike a normal season of Big Brother. We’ll also get multiple evictions and several episodes a week. Vanderpump Rules Season 9 Reunion Part 1 Recap: Public Display Of Rejection

The time’s finally come for our favorite SURvers to reunite for an explosive Vanderpump Rules reunion. This one’s going to be quite different with three cast members appearing in a virtual capacity. Tom Schwartz, Katie Maloney, & Lala Kent will all be appearing on video while the rest duke it out in person. This should make for a fascinating display because there’s A LOT to speak on.

Trouble In Paradise

All I’m waiting for is James Kennedy & Raquel Leviss to reveal their breakup. It’s going to be a reunion moment for the ages. I need my jaw to drop. Give us this soap opera drama, please. You can tell something is off with James & Raquel from the start of the reunion. There’s an awkward vibe, and their faces are giving off the impression that something’s wrong.

Andy Cohen wastes no time and asks James & Raquel what’s happened. Everyone’s confused about what’s going on and are SHOOK when Raquel announces the engagement is off. Raquel’s heart isn’t in the relationship. She didn’t want to give up on James because of all the progress he’s made, but in the end, she knew she couldn’t stay.

Raquel’s been having nightmares about their wedding day, and it’s OVER. James admits she’s not wrong about anything she’s saying. Nobody in the cast had any idea this was going down. This is one of the most shocking moments in reunion history. Three of the cast members aren’t even there yet, and all hell’s broken this. I’m sort of stunned. I knew it was coming, but DAMN I didn’t expect it to kick things off.

Lisa Vanderpump tries to get a grasp on what went down, but James doesn’t want any prodding. He says they’ve worked on the relationship, but after he quit drinking, it didn’t fix things. That wasn’t the only thing causing their troubles. A few months back was the first time they realized they weren’t going to last.

Andy asks James if he thinks Raquel’s his soulmate, and he says no. This is so uncomfortable to watch because James has perhaps never been more vulnerable. It’s sad to watch because there wasn’t a major moment that caused them to call it quits. In the end, it just wasn’t a good fit.

Raquel tells everyone they haven’t been having sex for a while. Wait for guys. JAMES & RAQUEL HAVEN’T HAD SEX SINCE TWO SUMMERS AGO.  How are they going to get engaged and go through all of that but not be intimate anymore? This is a bombshell revelation that’s somewhat surprising for Raquel to casually throw out there. James is visibly embarrassed, and everyone’s floored. Everyone’s jaw is glued to the floor right now.

Both James & Raquel find it embarrassing to be dropping this on everyone after a season about their love. Episode after the episode was about the two of them. Whether it was their engagement or their engagement party, the season was heavy on their relationship. To think they were going to sit there and not be honest at first is almost unfathomable.

The Ring Didn’t Mean A Thing

Andy switches gears and asks the group about Jax Taylor & Brittany Cartwright. Oh god. Why’re we even bringing up that disastrous pair? They aren’t on the show anymore, so why are we giving them the spotlight? Scheana Marie’s still in touch with them, but Tom Sandoval’s not in contact with Jax.

James admits that he occasionally used cocaine when he was drinking. All I can think about is whether or not the rumors are true about the pasta. His admission almost opens the door to the idea that the rumors surrounding the “pasta” might’ve been valid.

In the most cringeworthy moment of all time, Raquel gives her ring back to James in front of everyone. That’s so fucking uncomfortable to watch. Is this even real life? What am I watching? An entire reunion was probably set to revolve around their love story, and now everything is in shambles.

Brock Davies and his annoying voice chime in to take the moment away from James & Raquel. He and James go at it which leads to a low blow from James about Brock leaving his family. I don’t want to say Brock opened the door for that to go down, but I mean…. he did.

After the spat James turns to Raquel to tell her moments like that are why he didn’t want to do it out there. I have to say it’s quite cold for Raquel to return the ring at the reunion. She didn’t have to do James like that. It was icy as hell.

James calls Brock a user and accuses him of never being a good friend. I know James has his issues, but James is dead on with his assessment of Brock. That’s the vibe I got from Brock since the first time he appeared on the screen. However, James’ way of getting his point across is ass. When Andy tries to change topics, James storms off and races to the restroom. Clearly, he’s having no part in this reunion.

Backstage, James rants to Sandoval about the reality of the breakup. He had no real say in the demise of their relationship. This man’s unraveling before our eyes, but ultimately he returns to the stage with the rest of the cast. Shoutout to Sandoval for listening to James rant and getting him to return.

Good Luck Charli

Amidst the James drama, Andy moves on to the newest full-time cast member Charli Burnett. She describes her issues with food and why it’s always been a triggering subject for her. She doesn’t go into full detail, but she alludes to bad things happening to her when she was a child. If she made the wrong decision with food, there were consequences. That’s hard to hear as someone who’s about to be a father to a little girl.

Andy asks Charli about the situation at the pool party when she was groped by Brock’s friend. At least Scheana quickly owns up to mishandling that. Scheana’s a shitty friend though which has been on full display with her and Charli. The way she attacks Charli over nothing is a bit annoying.

Charli thinks Scheana overreacted to their social media back and forth over her broken TV. Charli demands Scheana take accountability for the first time in her life. Damn, she’s reading Scheana for filth here. Scheana does overreact to everything. I always want to like her, but she’s forever the most exhausting to watch.

Baby Talk

Katie, Schwartz, & Lala join the group and are immediately filled in about James & Raquel’s breakup. Lala feels sad for them, but she admires both for going about this the right way. This is a hell of a lot different than the way her engagement came to an end.

Lala says she didn’t have a partner to help her with Ocean which led to her seeking outside help. She’s grateful to have women in her corner to help her take care of the baby with Randall Emmett MIA. I couldn’t even begin to imagine what it must be like to theoretically go about it alone. As a soon-to-be father, I would be far more stressed without my wife to help me. However, at least Lala has the ability to have this much help.

My heart is shattered into a million pieces listening to Scheana thinking she gave birth to a stillborn. I feel like normally that wouldn’t hit me as hard, but I’m going to be a father in the next few weeks. To think something like what happened to Scheana could happen to me is almost too much to process. I’m so grateful Scheana & Summer are both doing well.

Katie defends her decision to have an abortion because of the state of her relationship at the time with Schwartz. Things are not good for the two, so she made the decision she felt right at the time. Katie filled her family in before the episode aired, so they wouldn’t be blindsided.

Schwartz & Sandy’s

I hate hearing Schwartz talk business. He’s a great guy, but he sounds like a bumbling idiot half of the time when trying to act professionally. It’s not a good look. He needs to start taking things a bit more seriously if he wants them to be successful.

Jax was the one to spill the beans about Sandoval & Schwartz opening their own bar. It was his parting gift. I’m sure he wanted to stir up as much shit as possible on his way out. Unfortunately for him, there wasn’t as much animosity from Lisa toward them as he might’ve expected.

Sandoval’s reasoning behind not wanting Kate involved actually makes sense. He didn’t want significant others involved in the major gamble of something like this. That’s a fair point. If things go south, it could get messier than needed. However, Sandoval saying he brings money into their household was so fucking rude. That was gross to watch. Sandoval’s not God. Stop.

Lisa finds it emasculating for Sandoval to say the things he was about Schwartz. It really is. Katie’s not going to sit there and listen to this anymore. She calls out Sandoval for “being asleep” lately when it comes to the new bar. Apparently, he’s not showing up to put in the work. The next part of the reunion is going to be EPIC.
