Married To Medicine Recap: Reunion Part 1

Last night’s episode of Married to Medicine featured part one the explosive three-part reunion. If you thought this season had its share of drama, the conclusion is no different. These ladies came to set the record straight on a variety of topics.

Jackie Walters gives Buffie Purselle the apology she deserved the entire season. Several Married to Medicine cast members clash and share more on the fallout of their friendships. There is also an exciting announcement revealed. Let’s get straight into the Married to Medicine recap!

Several of the ladies came to SLAY with their outfits. Others, well, not so much. I will leave it up to you to decide who falls in which group. It’s clear before the ladies take the stage that they have a lot to talk about. The set this year is actually a duplication of Toya Bush-Harris’s two-story closet.

Shockingly, for the first time, Simone isn’t on good terms with Jackie. The two didn’t share a dressing room this season. Even Andy Cohen is shocked to find out that tidbit of information.

Quad Webb-Lunceford speaks about her divorce and admits she is no longer in touch with Greg Lunceford. Simone Whitmore reveals that Greg has a “very attractive girlfriend.” Quad claims she isn’t surprised because he had a very attractive wife. Hmm…I guess that is debatable, Quad’s attitude makes her quite unattractive. Regardless, Quad doesn’t mind that Cecil Whitmore and Greg have remained good friends.

The break down in Simone and Quad’s relationship is discussed. After a fan writes in that Quad acts like she’s better than the rest of the cast, Quad says she was mistreated at the crab boil. Simone and Toya say that Quad is once again bringing up the past. Heavenly Kimes tells Toya to shut up. Simone has tried to make things right with Quad multiple times and has decided to stop trying. Quad apologizes for being dismissive and Simone accepts it.

When Contessa Metcalfe’s criticism of Toya’s spending is discussed, Toya says it doesn’t bother her. Contessa attempts to deny talking about her finances this season.  Andy has to correct her and play footage. Of course, Contessa tries to downplay it to save face. Regardless of whatever issues Toya and Eugene have had in the past, they have proven they could turn things around. Hopefully, it lasts.

Everyone agrees Toya’s new dream home is beautiful. Toya confirms the home was $2.1 million. Toya’s miscarriage is also discussed and Jackie shares her own experience. Toya reveals that Eugene Harris doesn’t believe she is no longer interested in being pregnant. She adds he has been failing to “pull out.”

Heavenly’s “buying a house is not an accomplishment” comment is brought up. She says she’s not jealous of Toya and doesn’t understand why Toya thinks she’s a hater. Andy shadily points out that Heavenly didn’t add a third level to her closet until Toya began working on her closet. A blind man can see that Heavenly is jealous.

Of course, the infertile comment is discussed. Jackie says she never thought that she would hurt Buffie by saying that. She was so into her speech, she didn’t think about it before saying it. That doesn’t explain her reaction when Buffie told her she was hurt. Jackie was completely heartless.

When Andy points out that Jackie apologized multiple times, Heavenly calls Buffie a liar. Buffie takes a shot at Heavenly’s dentures and Heavenly responds by calling her fat. Simone and Toya call out Heavenly and thinks she is feeling herself since she got surgery. Heavenly thinks Buffie needs to stop playing the victim.

Jackie admits she was wrong to share Buffie’s infertility story without asking her. She says she didn’t mean anything malicious. She just wanted to connect everyone to her book. She’ll do whatever she can to help Buffie become a mother. I think Jackie just realized she looked like a horrible person and is trying to regain her image. Buffie accepts her apology and wants to spend some time with Jackie away from the group.

Buffie reveals that she and David Purselle have decided to find a surrogate. They already have five embryos. She struggled with the thought of a surrogate at first because she wanted to carry her own baby. But she feels differently now after seeing other women’s journeys. Jackie wants to help and says she’s opening her own surrogacy practice. But Buffie has already found a doctor. Later on, Jackie pulls Buffie to the side to give her a hug.

90 Day Fiance Recap: I Don’t Have A Choice

After watching last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance, I was left very confused. I didn’t know whether to feel pity or happy that the rose colored glasses have been removed for some. I know they say love is blind, but I didn’t know it removed all of your senses.

Anna Campisi reveals shocking news to her family. Angela Deem fights to get Michael Ilesanmi‘s visa. Syngin Colchester wants more from Tania Maduro. Mike has tough questions for Natalie. Emily’s sister grills Sasha about his past. Blake‘s mom attempts to bond with Jasmin. Let’s get straight into the 90 Day Fiance recap!

Anna, 38 (Bellevue, Nebraska) and Mursel, 38 (Turkey)

Anna is an emotional wreck after Mursel’s family convinced him to call off the wedding. Frankly, I don’t know why she is surprised when he asked her to hide her own children. When Anna’s mom arrives at her house, she grills Mursel on his intentions. It’s apparent he is afraid to stand against his family, despite his love for Anna. The most heartbreaking moment was seeing the faces of Anna’s two youngest sons after finding out Mursel is leaving.

Anna’s mom quickly gives up any hope of seeing her daughter married and just wants Mursel out of the house. Honestly, I can’t blame the mother.  Mursel knew Anna had children before he arrived. He also knew his family wouldn’t accept their marriage. So if he chose to marry her anyway, he should have been honest.

Anna shares the news about Mursel’s decision to leave with her oldest son. Although he seems indifferent, it’s obvious he is upset that his mother is hurt.  Mursel has been staying in a hotel after he decided to call off the wedding. He has received several emotional and angry text messages from Anna all night. When Mursel calls Anna crying, I couldn’t help but laugh.

After spending so much time in a relationship where she can barely communicate, she has adopted his rudimentary English. She screams into the phone “no us finished” before hanging up. Sigh! Just throw this whole story line away. At this point, I just want them to break up. It’s not even entertaining anymore, it’s just kind of sad.

Angela, 53 (Hazlehurst, Georgia) and Michael, 29 (Nigeria)

Angela decides to take matters in her own hands and fight for her man. She visits with her lawyer to find out what options are available to get Michael to the U.S. Her options at this point are to either appeal or reapply for a visa. Both options will take many months of waiting in order to be together.  At the age of 54, Angela refuses to waste any more time.

Angela is frantically running around trying to make it to the airport for her flight to Nigeria. She wants to speak to Michael in person to find out what happened during his visa interview. Knowing Michael, he probably came draped in the flag and talked more about loving the U.S. than Angela.

In order to be proactive, he seeks legal advice on next steps after being denied. He is advised to get married in Nigeria and then apply for a spousal visa. Angela has already made it clear she only wants to get married in the U.S. where her family can be in attendance. Hopefully, she doesn’t throw another cake in his face when he tells her.

Blake, 29 (Los Angeles, California) and Jasmin, 27 (Finland)

Jasmin is still stuck at Blake’s parents’ house begrudgingly.  His mother attempts to bond with her by asking for her help in the kitchen. When Jasmin is asked about her future plans it’s obvious she would rather be anywhere, but that apartment. Ugh… There is something I just can’t stand about her.  The girl acts like being around Blake’s friends and family is a form of torture.

Tania, 29 (Colchester, Connecticut) and Syngin, 29 (South Africa)

Syngin visits Tania’s sister to get advice about his fiancé. It’s sad her family has more empathy for Syngin than the woman who brought him to the U.S. to marry him. The poor guy is so shocked by Tania’s behavior he is beginning to think there is a chance she is cheating. If Syngin had any sense he would run after getting a taste of Tania and her mother.

Its Tania’s last week in Costa Rica and she is out partying with the girls again. While dancing with another man, she gets a video call from Syngin. Tania is completely drunk and refuses to let her man know when she makes it home safely. Is this girl 15 years old? If a man cares about you, why wouldn’t he want to know she is safe after a night out drinking in a foreign country? Tania completely disregards Syngin’s feelings and just hangs up in his face.

Syngin, please take the next flight home. This woman isn’t ready to be anyone’s wife. She isn’t even worthy of the sacrifice you have made living a shed after leaving your entire life for her.

Tania has the nerve to be upset that she woke up to missed calls from a worried Syngin. This girl has to be one of the most selfish people to ever be on this show. Would she prefer that he didn’t care about her at all?

When they finally talk the next day she argues she doesn’t need a dad and can’t give him everything he needs. If I was living in a SHED for a woman and she couldn’t even bother to call me, I would be done. Okay, I wouldn’t live in a shed for anyone, but that sounded good.

 

Robert, 41 (Winter Park, Florida) and Anny, 30 (Dominican Republic)

Robert’s little sister, Robin, is in town to visit her brother and finally meet Anny.  On the way to the apartment, Robert reveals he is starting to have second thoughts about the relationship. Things immediately get awkward when Anny tells his sister everything that she doesn’t like about Robert. One of her main complaints is not having enough sex. Ummmm… talk about awkward.

Anny takes Robin with her wedding dress shopping. She doesn’t have any family in the U.S. and needs her support. Robin immediately asks about the budget knowing full well her brother isn’t paying for an expensive dress. Surprisingly she finds a beautiful dress that is within her budget of $400 or less. After finding the perfect dress she becomes emotional. I actually like Robin better than Robert. I wonder if she and Anny will remain friends when if things don’t work out.

Mike, 34 (Seguim, Washington) and Natalie, 35 (Ukraine)

Mike goes to the Embassy to check on the status on Natalie’s visa application and leaves even more confused. He finds out that the status is still pending and all information is classified. When he meets with Natalie, he questions if she is hiding something. Natalie immediately becomes defensive when she hears the accusations.

Now Michael, surely there was a better way you could have broached this subject. Natalie vehemently denies ever lying or applying for a visa in the past. She storms from the table only to return to the table and gives him the crazy eyes. Mike apologizes for coming off harshly. Let’s be honest, there are several reasons these two should part. This should be the last of their concerns.

Emily, 28 (Portland, Oregon) and Sasha, 31 (Russia)

Sasha and Emily’s sister, Betsy, and mom sit down and have a glass of wine while discussing his past. Things get very awkward when his pattern of having children and then marrying the mothers is brought up. Betsy allows the liquid courage to propel her to not only grill Sasha, but also explain the fundamentals of marriage.

It’s apparent that she doesn’t trust Sasha and is only humoring him out of love for Emily and her nephew. I don’t blame her. His situation would give anyone a reason to give him the side eye.

After a trip to the grocery store, Sasha decides to throw away all of Betsy’s “junk” food. Of course, that isn’t received well and incites an argument. Did Sasha forget he is living under Emily’s sister’s roof and not his own? Emily feels torn between her sister and her fiancé. She suggests they leave for the sake of their relationship.  I think that is the best decision she could have made. Things were only going to get worse in that house.

Real Housewives Of Atlanta Recap: Torment In Toronto

Last night the Real Housewives Of Atlanta headed to Toronto, Canada to celebrate Carnival, and a surprise guest had them all wishing they had just stayed home!

Tanya Sam is a Toronto native who grew up experiencing Carnival and just wants to share it with her friends. Right away, you know this trip is going to be a disaster because instead of inviting her friends, Tanya is bringing the Real Housewives Of Atlanta. Also, she invited Nene Leakes, who rudely didn’t RSVP, and instead literally showed up, hours after the other ladies had arrived.

Good thing Marlo Hampton considers NeNe her sissy, because Marlo’s passport was stolen at the airport and she’s trapped in Canada. The rest of the women can at least bail on MeMe!

NeNe isn’t the only bone to pick. Before the trip, Porsha Williams learned that Eva Marcille, someone she considered ‘part of her village,’ was ranting about how Porsha needs to mind her own business or Eva may have to whip out some of the blogs about Dennis McKinley to remind Porsha of what her business actually is.

Now, I barely remember the drama that started this situation and I thought it had been handled, packed away, and erased, but apparently not. It goes back to episode 1 when Porsha told Kenya Moore that Eva didn’t bring her kids to Brooklyn’s Barbie party because she didn’t know what to expect, given that she barely knows Kenya (and of course Eva had heard some things.)

All these many weeks later, long after Kenya and Eva have made amends-ish, Kandi Burruss and Marlo are with Eva and Cynthia Bailey at a bridal salon, talking about how Porsha is the one who originated the drama between Kenya and Eva. Why is this a thing? Apparently, it was Marlo who brought it up to Eva as a way to prove their newfound getting along situation? Unfortunately, Eva is super pregnant and salty the second she doesn’t have food. And when there’s no food in her mouth, Eva has nasty words instead. Obviously, Kandi and Marlo then repeated Eva’s comments to Porsha. So, now Porsha is heading into Toronto – a turn-up this overly-stressed mama badly needs – with a mess to clean up.

Also packing issues in their suitcase is Cynthia, who is suspicious about why Kenya possibly tried to ruin her surprise proposal. *Sigh* Minutes before Mike Hill was about to pop the question, Kenya showed up at the Bailey Wine Cellar launch and told Cynthia she had a feeling Mike was going to propose that night. Of course,o Kenya knew this was the plan because Kandi had already told her!

You’d think in the glow of post-engagement happiness Mike and Cynthia would have other things to care about, but apparently not. Apparently, Mike is miffed and mentioned to Cynthia that he’s disappointed he suspects Kenya of wanting to spill the beans.

So anyway, here we come to Toronto with all of this, plus NeNe nonsense! At the airport, Marlo and Eva are miraculously getting along. And, also Yovanna Momplaisir shows up. She’s wearing a blonde wig in the color of NeNe hair, and everyone wonders if she just invited herself in NeNe’s place. That might be preferable, except most of the women suspect Yovanna of being a secret agent working for NeNe by trying to infiltrate their group. But no Tanya, held at stilletto-point by production, actually invited Yovanna. How nice…

At this point, Tanya still has no idea if NeNe is coming or not, and some of the women didn’t even know she was invited. Cynthia actually hopes she does come so she can thank NeNe in person for the supposedly heartfelt card and the charcuterie from Costco that was delivered to the wine cellar opening. Cynthia tried to text a thank you, but found out her number was blocked! Marlo was supposed to be the messenger, but NeNe has been having issues with Gregg and not responding to any calls. Ergo no one knows whether or not to expect NeNe.

On the plane, everyone gets along, and the only issue is that Marlo’s passport was nabbed by the FBI suspected of domestic terrorism. Wanting to squash any potential idiocy before it begins, Tanya announces that everyone will have the exact same room at a luxury hotel. Tanya, so sweet and thoughtful, even tries to give everyone a history lesson about the importance of Carnival, but this where it become blatantly apparent that Tanya is far too intellectual for this group because they tune her out to sip Hennessey from the flask Porsha smuggled THROUGH TSA. Really, REALLY feeling positively about all the security measures they inflict…

After checking into the hotel the Kandi and Cynthia meet up with Kenya in her room, and two important things are learned: One, Cynthia has discovered that the exact note NeNe wrote in the card is now on a popular Atlanta blog. Cynthia didn’t leak the card, so the only other option is Yovanna or Marlo NeNe herself! Kenya is 100% certain it’s NeNe wanting to rehab her public image and prove that she’s trying to make things right with Cynthia. Perhaps… Actually a good and plausible theory, Ms. Moore!

Then, of course, it’s time to talk about the elephant in the room: Marc Daly! After the disastrous couples dinner Cynthia and Kandi are super unimpressed with Kenya’s choice in mate. And even worse, after leaving dinner barely on speaking terms with his wife (over defending NeNe!) Marc chose to hit the club with Todd Tucker!

This is the same man who refuses to even go on a couple’s trip with his wife and leave Brooklyn with a nanny… The same man who lives across the country from his wife and daughter and only sees them every couple weeks. Kenya is well-aware that this is seriously screwed up, so at least there’s that. She cries when she admits that her marriage is in a very low place. Kenya has no idea how it’s come to this.

Thankfully, Cynthia points out the obvious: Kenya is not happy with this man. And Marc clearly mislead her about what he wanted! Also, why isn’t Marc in Atlanta watching Brooklyn while Kenya is in Toronto? Instead, Brooklyn is with Aunt Lori and the nanny. Marc is a massive hypocrite!

Kenya is so upset she skips the scheduled dance lesson to collect herself. The rest of the women learn to ‘whine’ in time for dancing at Carnival – I bet it all comes naturally to Krayonce, queen of twirl! Eva sits on an exercise ball because whining got her into this pregnant mess, and it sure as hell ain’t gonna get her out!

This gives Eva plenty of opportunity to provide testimony on everyone else’s dancing skills. Porsha and Cynthia only know how to twerk – which is not whining and not allowed. Porsha has no desire to learn another way — which is a euphemism for her entire life!

Kandi has no rhythm whatsoever and takes dancing way too seriously to ever really feel it. Marlo is… living in a dream world where she married a millionaire diplomat and has immunity that needs no passport. That leaves Yovanna and Tanya as being anything close to decent, so whine away ladies.

And after that fateful (and fun) dance lesson Tanya gets a surprise call from NeNe, who is leaving the airport and on her way to inflict maximum destruction on the trip. Tanya pretends to be thrilled to see NeNe, but it couldn’t get anymore forced if it were Kandi attempting to oil her hips during the whine.

Tanya waits until all the women are assembled for drinks on the rooftop to reveal the news that NeNe has entered the building. Eva, Cynthia, and Porsha are openly disgusted. Kandi and Kenya are wary. Marlo is thrilled.

Before NeNe joins the group, Porsha confronts Eva, who has no recollection of trashing her in the bridal salon. In fact, Eva accuses Kandi of making the entire thing up! Cynthia also claims to have no memories of what specifically Eva said, but before things get too heated she defends Eva as riding hard for Porsha and always being a good friend to her. Cynthia says Eva was just speaking in anger.

Eva apologizes for hurting Porsha’s feelings, and given how supportive Eva has been through the Dennis travail, and of Dennis and Porsha getting back together, Porsha decides to “digest” this apology like she would a cheese plate. With wine, not whine.

While they’re on the subject of issues, Cynthia asks Kenya what her intentions were in hinting that Mike was going to propose at the wine cellar opening. Kenya insists she meant no malice and was just so excited it slipped out. Echoing Cynthia’s choice of words about Eva, she reminds her BFF that she rides hard for her and would never intentionally try to destroy her moment.

Given how upset Kenya was over Marc, I don’t think this was the time for Cynthia to bring it up. Just me?

Then, just as everything is settling down and the women are preparing to let bygones be bygones, around the corner comes NeNe and about no one can hide their irritation.

Pleasant times ahead!

NeNe Leakes Surprises The Real Housewives Of Atlanta In Toronto Tonight

On tonight’s Real Housewives of Atlanta episode, the ladies head to Toronto for Carnival. I had no idea Toronto was known for Carnival, but I’m here for any Real Housewives of Atlanta cast trip. Especially since NeNe Leakes has barely been a part of this season. She has to go on the cast trip, right? I’m sure she will drop in with some dramatic “surprise” entrance.

I just want to see NeNe come face to face with Kenya Moore, Porsha Williams, and Cynthia Bailey. And by that, I mean, I can’t wait to see NeNe come face to face with Kenya. The previews for the episode look heated. I also want to get to the bottom of snakegate. Apparently, Marlo Hampton did not record Cynthia talking trash about NeNe. Clearly, the snake in question in Yovanna “That Bitch” Momplaisir. She’s the only other person who’s been hanging with both NeNe and Cynthia.

NeNe wasn’t even in the last episode, but she did send cheese and crackers to Cynthia’s event. However, it wasn’t even NeNe’s debatably insincere/passive aggressive note that put a damper on the event. Kandi Burruss told Kenya that Mike Hill hinted that he would propose to Cynthia. Then, Kenya took it upon herself to just tell Cynthia that she feels a proposal coming. Girl, why would you spoil the surprise of a big moment for your friend?

On tonight’s episode, Cynthia wonders if Kenya ruined her proposal on purpose. Yeah, it was messed up what Kenya did, but was it the worst thing in the world? No. Nothing was actually “ruined.” Cynthia is so happy to be engaged. She should just focus on that.

Kandi lets Porsha know that Eva Marcille has been talking mad shit about Porsha… and her c-section, and baby PJ’s appearance. I am all for Porsha’s progress with anger management, but I hope she checks Eva for running her mouth.

And, of course, there’s the big elephant in the room: Kenya’s marriage troubles. That triple date scene and the car ride was so awkward to watch last week. Clearly, there was (is?) trouble in paradise. Who would have thought that getting married after dating in secret for a minute and a half wouldn’t result in a happy union? Color me shocked.

Vicki Gunvalson Denies Being Homophobic After Calling Braunwyn Windham-Burke’s Sex Life Disgusting On Real Housewives Of Orange County Reunion

Even though Vicki Gunvalson was technically a “part-time cast member” she did give us the most at the Real Housewives of Orange County Season 14 reunion. Is there anything to talk about other than Vicki’s outbursts, Vicki’s hypocrisy, and Vicki’s insults? Yes, technically, but nothing that interesting.

Vicki has been facing a lot of backlash for her comments about Braunwyn Windham-Burke’s sex life that she made during the reunion taping. She said, “We have got to be women that people want to emulate to be.” Yes, she actually thinks that makes sense. Moving on, Vicki said Braunwyn’s life choices were “disgusting.”

During the reunion, Vicki rhetorically asked, “Do you think people want to emulate this trash? Kissing each other.” She continued, “We are all supposed to be role models for our children, for our grandchildren.” Braunwyn shared that she is a role model and Vicki shouted: “I think it’s disgusting!” She was not happy about Braunwyn and Sean Burke’s threesomes or the make outs with Tamra. However, she doesn’t think Tamra is “disgusting.”

Andy Cohen asked Vicki if she thought Braunwyn’s life choices were disgusting and she agreed. She also said Braunwyn needs to “choose [her] lane,” which some fans took as a dig at Braunwyn’s attraction to both men and women.

She said “we don’t do that” about the female makeout sessions and the archived footage proved otherwise. Does Vicki forget that we have been watching her for all these years and see her blatantly hypocritical behavior? Apparently.

No wonder Twitter was blowing up with anti-Vicki sentiments. Vicki clapped back with an Instagram video. She told her followers, “Hey, everyone. It’s Friday night. I’m just getting ready to leave for a week. We’re going on a cruise tomorrow. I just want to wish you all a very happy 2020. I thought I’d just mention I’ve been seeing some things on social media that people are portraying me as ‘homophobic.'”

She continued, “I’m gonna hit it right on. Head on. I’m not homophobic. I’ve got family members that are gay and lesbian. I’ve got, obviously, Bravo fans, personal friends. I’m not [homophobic].” Oh, girl. Saying you have gay fans is not enough to support your case.

Vicki ranted, “What I did say is I don’t think it’s appropriate for Braunwyn to be making out on TV. I don’t care if it’s with her husband, or Tamra, or anybody. I just think it’s inappropriate. I really don’t think that we all need to see it.” Again, clearly Vicki doesn’t watch this show that she “started.”

She concluded, “Sorry if you all took it any differently than what the truth is. The truth is the girl bugs me. Anything that she does would bug me. I wish all of you the very best.” Oh, Vicki.

Second-Degree Assault Charges Against Real Housewives Of Potomac Stars Monique Samuels & Candiace Dillard Dismissed

When is Real Housewives of Potomac returning for Season 5? There have been many rumors about what really went down during an altercation between Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard. Candiace filed charges against Monique. Monique filed charges against Candiace.

This has all been so public and so private at the same time. Obviously, court filings are a matter of private record. However, the fans still don’t know exactly what happened.

Both of the Housewives have to be relieved because People reported that the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office informed lawyers for both reality stars that they would not move forward with the complaints.

“Charges have been dismissed by the Office of the State’s Attorney for Montgomery County, Maryland,” Public Affairs Director Ramón V. Korionoff told People.

The “alleged” physical altercation went down in October at a dinner party filmed for the show. In November, both Housewives filled second-degree assault claims against each other.

On one hand, I’m sure they’re both annoyed. But, overall, I have to assume that they’re both relieved that the state attorney isn’t coming for them. Monique tweeted “Dismissed” along with a peace sign emoji. In response, a fan told Monique “I’m disappointed in both of you. I don’t care who started it.” Monique agreed and told the viewer, “Me too.”

Monique also clarified a rumor that had been circulating that she was banned from a Season 5 cast trip. She tweeted, “It was my choice not to go. I don’t go where I don’t feel comfortable. I went on my own trip.” Who would blame her? Those “vacations” seem so stressful and exhausting. Minus the paycheck (and the freebies), it just seems like such an ordeal.
