Big Brother 18 House Holds Hidden Secrets For Houseguests!

The theme for this year’s Big Brother 18 house is “Summer Vacation” and according to executive producer Allison Grodner, the cheery international decor holds some hidden secrets the Houseguests will be uncovering this summer!

Here you are in the living room which is the terminal of an airport. That board is the departure board and you will see on opening night what we got there. It has meaning.

The Big Brother house certainly got some unique additions for 2016, and we’re very intrigued by the teases about the house being part of the twists in the game this season. Overall, I love the new look of the house, though there are a few things I certainly am not a fan of! I’ve made some observations about the rooms, what I like, where I’d hang out, and what sticks out the most to me as being… interesting!

Airport – Living Room

Is it just me, or does this room look taller than usual? The very first thing I noticed looking at the pictures of this room is the departure board, which gives clues to the different room themes and other potentially intriguing information. (Can you say memory comp?!) The next out of the ordinary thing I notice is the green chairs lining the wall that look like they’re from a waiting room. I’m not sure what they could possibly be used for, but it’s new! The two orange “hot seat” chairs remind me of airplane seats, but look way more comfortable. I’m a fan of this room with the exception of one thing- that couch color.

Tokyo – Bedroom 1

The best word I have to describe this room, LOUD. The bed set up is really interesting, it looks like the two beds on either side of the raised pink ones are smaller than the rest, but maybe it’s my eyes, or the fact that I keep getting distracted by the bright green chair that looks super neat and super uncomfortable. There’s one picture of this room that shows three catlike statues, it looks to me like you could pull the arms down on them, like a lottery machine? Maybe they’ll do something fun!?

London – Bedroom 2

I’m a huge fan of this room. I feel more relaxed just looking at the pictures. There are two things that catch my attention in this room right away, one is the phone booth door, which has a working phone. (phone booth twist from last season) The second, is the door that doesn’t necessarily look like it goes anywhere because of the way the furniture is set, but I’m suspicious anyways. Ugh, the top hat lamp in the corner reminds me of Austin’s evil twin from last season… what was his name again?

Paris – Kitchen/Dining

The kitchen is neat, colorful, but not overwhelming. It doesn’t seem that much has changed here. I’m a fan of the addition of the island, it seems like that’s been used a lot since they added it. Also worthy of note – the table only has 12 places (only enough room for the new houseguests, not the ‘mystery guests’). My final kitchen related thought: BRING ON THE ANTS!

Nairobi – Photo Booth Room

For the last several seasons, this room has been home to the photo booth. It doesn’t look like it’s there in the same capacity. However, the camera’s make me wonder if they’ll have the ability to take pictures in there anyways. I think this room looks cozy – a good place to hideaway.

Ocho Rios – Bathroom

I love the color scheme in this room. It makes me wish I was on the beach, but SAND ON THE FLOOR? ARE YOU CRAZY? I can’t think of anything weirder than trying to shower, and getting out into the sand… or sitting on the toilet with your feet in the sand… yea, it’s weird. Not to mention, I feel like it would get ALL OVER the house. (Thankfully it looks the sand may have been removed in the most recent photos and replaced with sand-colored carpet.)

Yosemite National Park – Backyard

AWESOME! I recently had the pleasure of traveling through several of the National Parks (though not Yosemite, like the backyard is illustrating) and wow are they gorgeous. I love the additional seating outside – I think it’ll give the houseguests more space to talk and strategize without sitting around everyone else. I’m also a big fan of the new pool- though it makes me think there will be a few more “STOP THAT” from Big Brother than usual.

Admirals Lounge – Skybridge & Walkway

This seems like the perfect place to do some serious eavesdropping. Having a couch to hang out on and look over most of the rest of the house and listen in to what people were saying? Sounds like an interesting place to me- I guess we’ll see if the houseguest think like that too!

Waikiki – HOH Room

This is easily my favorite room in the house, and may be my favorite HOH room. I love the color scheme and decorations. There’s some new furniture in there that we haven’t seen before (smaller couch and chairs) and I love the way the fish tank is right over the bed!

I’m a fan of the house décor this season, but I’ll be an even bigger fan once the houseguests are in there! It’s bound to be an interesting season, especially if the house is going to play some sort of roll in the twists.

The producers also mentioned two additional teases worth mentioning – one, the Have Not room is supposed to be absolutely awful — and the Pandora’s Box room/Second HOH room may be in play for some sort of twist this season as well!

I have tried to point out the pieces that stuck out the most to me, but as we all know — expect the unexpected!! Here’s to hoping this house brings us a great season!

Marie Reyes Denies She Hired A Social Media Team To Attack Tiffany Hendra And LeeAnne Locken

I feel like Marie Reyes is the Kim D of Real Housewives of Dallas. She brings nothing to the show and does whatever she can to get attention.

Obviously, Marie was the one who spread the story about LeeAnne Locken, and that is the only reason she is getting any screen time on this show. She is not even a Real Housewife and her desperation is just way too much for me to handle. I am definitely not a LeeAnne fan and even I can tell that Marie is an attention-seeking shit stirrer.

Needless to say, I was pretty shocked to watch the RHOD reunion episode and hear that Marie supposedly hired a social media team to take down LeeAnne and Tiffany Hendra. It’s absurd, to me, that she would invest so much thought and money into maintaining some sort of persona.

I feel silly because I’m giving Marie attention, but I feel like this is too ridiculous not to address. As expected, Marie addressed this in her Bravo blog (which she basically only has to trash LeeAnne).

Marie wrote, “I’ve been accused of having a social media team that attacks LeeAnne and Tiffany, so let me set the record straight. I employ several people who help me with PR for my Signature skin care line RAGS2Riches by Marie Reyes in three different cities and I employ a young man, ONE young Millennial man, who helps me with my businesses’ social media accounts. He also helps me with social media, specifically Twitter, around the airing of this show. Surprise, I’m not the gif or photoshop queen, LOL! So, my social media “team” is a whopping one person (someone has to do the artwork and hit the send button) + me and my husband!” I can’t imagine that many people are hitting up Marie or regularly checking her social media pages for content. This is definitely not something that she needs an employee for. As I keep saying, she’s not even a Real Housewife.

Plus, there’s the fact that Marie uses her social media to impart negativity and make fun of people: there is nothing at all acceptable about that. Marie attempted to justify this when she wrote, “Yes, in an effort to add colorful context I’ve made fun of people’s on screen words and behaviors. I never made fun of or “attacked” any of the other ladies for anything they’ve done that wasn’t directly related to something aired on the show, nor have I asked anyone else to do so on my behalf.” Anyone who has checked out her social media profiles knows that this is not at all accurate, unless Marie just has a very different version of the word “attacked.”

Then Marie proves once again that she disillusioned by the level of “fame” that she has when she wrote, “The notion that I bought the Internet and or employ trolls to attack anyone on the show is simply ridiculous. By now everyone should know that if I have something to say I’m pretty direct and at no loss for words via my blog or live during my after show periscope.” No one thinks that Marie would  be able to “buy the internet.” As far as random trolls go, I bet that they are just a series of accounts that Marie has the password to. And I have no idea who this “everyone” she is referring to in regard to the readers of her social media content and blog. She is not even a Housewife – I can’t stress that enough.

Marie needs to stop trying to bring down others just to get attention. It’s really not a good look on her at all – no matter who is operating the social media accounts. I’m also wondering if she even wrote her Bravo blog entry herself….

Dance Moms Star Abby Lee Miller To Plead Guilty To Charges Of Bankruptcy Fraud And Laundering?

So, could someone finally be taking responsibility for her actions? And, if so, does this mean we’re saved from another season of Dance Moms? Would anyone really watch without the Ziegler girls anyway? So many questions, and unfortunately, we won’t be getting the answers to the latter two any time soon. However, it seems that Abby Lee Miller is finally coming clean about her little misunderstanding with the IRS. 

The sharp-tongued dance instructor and reality star is no stranger to controversy, from her tyrannical teaching methods to her childish feuds with her students’ mothers. Add in her often flighty, mid-2000s Britney Spears behavior complete with fast food binges, glassy eyes, and hot rollers, and some wondered if Abby wasn’t the perfect candidate for 5150 hold. Obviously by “some” I mean me.

Abby’s legal woes  have been fodder for the media since she was indicted for bankruptcy fraud after filing Chapter 11 in 2012 and for failing to report outside currency in 2014. Four years ago, Abby filed Chapter 11, and we’ve all heard how her case wasn’t a blip on the radar until the judge happened across her show during the hearing. Here was a reality star with quite an empire, yet her reported earnings didn’t mention it. Last fall, Abby was formally charged with illegally attempting to hide close to $775,000.00 in Dance Moms cash.

Added to those charges are allegations that Abby violated federal law when she brought more than $10,000 of Australian currency into the country and failed to report it. Anyone bringing into the country more than $10,000 in outside currency is required to tell Uncle Sam about it. According to WPXI.com, prosecutors are hoping to make Abby forfeit $120,000 in connection with the charges, although they won’t confirm that is the amount of Australian currency Abby neglected to report.

For her part, Abby has issued a statement via her attorney. She states, “Events over the past several months have been extremely challenging for me, my family, my friends and most important, my students. Because of this I made the very difficult decision to close the door on this chapter of my life by accepting responsibility for mistakes I have made along the way.”

Abby continues, “I appreciate all the wonderful messages of support I’ve received from around the world and look forward to the future and getting back to my life’s work; helping young dancers fulfill their potential.”

A rep for Abby (who may have one of the harder jobs in LaLa land) clarified that when Abby said she was closing “the door on this chapter,” the reality star was referring to her legal troubles and not the show. Until I hear straight from Abby’s mouth, though, I’m assuming both!

Exclusive: Kelly Bensimon Talks Her First Novel, A Dangerous Age, And How It Relates To Her Own Life.

Kelly Bensimon has lived quite a life as a model, famous photographer’s wife, mother, designer, fashion icon and trend-setter. She has overcome numerous obstacles all while living with the scrutiny of the public eye – including the very negative judgement she faced on and after Real Housewives Of New York. Kelly is now chronicling her experiences through her first novel, A Dangerous Age. 

“I love things that are imperfect, that have flaws,” muses Kelly. “Everything has a story. Just because it’s not perfect doesn’t mean it doesn’t have an amazing story. It usually does.”

The idea to write A Dangerous Age came about through Kelly’s agent, who recognized the huge platform she developed from appearing on Real Housewives Of New York and the elusive worlds of fashion, modeling, art, television Kelly had insider access to. Kelly reportedly kept many aspects of her ‘real life’ away from cameras on RHONY. “I’ve been writing all my life and began working on this novel when I was at Columbia,” shares Kelly. She did not use a ghost writer!

For Kelly the writing process let her explore her own diverse life, and learning to navigate the upper-echelons of NYC’s fashion and art communities. “People don’t understand I worked very hard to get where I am,” she tells Haute Living. “I wasn’t born with a silver spoon.” 

A Dangerous Age tells the story of four NYC friends, all once prominent ingenues, whose statuses and friendships are at a serious crossroads. It is both a comedy, and a drama, which ruminates on the poignancy of relationships, but also the ever-changing worlds of art and culture in a fickle city, as these women struggle to confront their new roles in the society they once dominated – some will flounder, while some will thrive. 

The major theme of novel is love. “A quest for love, real love, unrequited love, how people love, how people fall in and out of love.” Central to the novel is NYC, with its demands for new and different. 

“Sometimes people don’t see what they have,” explains Kelly. “A lot of Type A personalities gravitate to New York – they are constantly wanting more and more because more is more; that feeds them. But I think this [dynamic] is one of the reasons I have been able to reinvent myself. Contemporary society has allowed me to do that. The more I’m curious about, the more people are curious about [me], and the novel deals with that.”  

“The novel is very voyeuristic and very inner circle,” promises Kelly. She opines that today’s socialites are more than just wealthy women who represent a certain fantastical lifestyle. “New is everything,” she adds. “… the city’s most philanthropic women are incredibly hard working, very well educated, and often entrepreneurs.” So they’re not Real Housewives, is what Kelly is saying? And we won’t find them on Bravo shilling their souls to promote a pinot or a margarita? 

In addition to writing, Kelly has also launched a lower-priced jewelry line, Kelly Killoren for Kelly Killoren Bensimon, for HSN. “It’s a destination vacation line influenced by my travels,” she describes. 

I have to say Kelly’s novel sounds interesting – I’m curious about her story, and if she’ll be covertly dishing on RHONY, and spilling any insider gossip!
