Even though it was reported everywhere that Meghan Edmonds would not be returning to Real Housewives of Orange County this season, she is back. She didn’t interact with any other cast members for the first three episodes, but she is back and even she thinks this season is boring.
And that is something most of us can agree on. Minus Shannon Beador’s iconic plate toss, this season has been a total snooze. Hopefully it picks up.
In an interview for the Reality Life With Kate Casey podcast, Meghan was asked, “Did you change your mind about coming on the show?” Good question, since it was highly reported that she wasn’t returning and the edit of the first few episodes this season made it very clear that she wasn’t interacting with the cast at that time.
Meghan said, “The reason I wasn’t on the first few episodes is because I didn’t want to travel with Aspen until she had all of her shots. I had her in St. Louis and there was an outbreak of I think Measles going around in St. Louis.”
Then, Meghan finally admitted, “But you’re right. I had said I wasn’t going to back and after having her I was like ‘Oh my god. Get me out of the house. I need to do something.’ And so I called the big bosses and was like ‘I want to come back. I just want to be back. I’ll do anything. I’ll beg. I’ll grovel. I just want to be back.’ And they’re like ‘We thought you didn’t want to,’ and I’m like ‘Yeah me too, but here I am.'”
I wonder how much of that decision to bring Meghan back had to do with Heather Dubrow’s seemingly subtle departure? After all Heather’s name was in everyone’s mouth for the first few episodes and Meghan’s wasn’t. Did they have no idea who was actually coming back to the show? Just wondering.
But anyway, love Meghan or not, everyone has to admit that she’s speaking for all the fans when she admitted, “I’m just hoping that this season picks up a little bit.” Same here, Meghan. Same, here. She continued to read my mind when she said, “I think it’s kind of weird that it’s so bifurcated the groups on the show. Is that weird to viewers too?” Kate Casey responded, “It doesn’t seem like any of you are really friends.” Exactly! It does not feel like a united show at all, just a bunch of separate lives rolled into one show with very little overlap.
Nevertheless, Meghan insisted, “I’m like this with Tamra [Judge] and Shannon. Tamra just texted me.”
When Kate said, “I don’t think the new Housewife Peggy [Sulahian] is interesting,” Meghan immediately said, “I don’t either.” Meghan might not bring the most excitement to this show, but her commentary is pretty on point in all honesty. Meghan continued, “Peggy is totally random I feel like. At least Lydia [McLaughlin] has connections to the group.”
Eh. I don’t know about that. Lydia’s “connection” to this group is a stretch too. It’s pretty obvious Lydia did not keep in touch with Tamra and Vicki Gunvalson when she left the show after her first season. Nevertheless, I do agree with Meghan when she said, “I just feel like Peggy was thrown in randomly.”
And once again Meghan pointed out how boring this season is when she said, “It’s been on forever and there’s something that keeps people coming back for more, even if it is boring.” Let’s hope it picks up. I’ll be watching it every week either way, but it would be nice to be entertained since I’m so committed to watching this show.

Meghan asked Kelly if she had a boyfriend on the side and Kelly fired back by saying that Meghan’s husband Jim Edmonds is having an affair.
Other than that, not much has happened between these two, but it’s clear shit is about to go down since they are constantly ripping on each other on social media and in interviews.
On a happier note, Kelly wrote in her Bravo blog, “Thanks to Tamra [Judge] helping me reconcile with Shannon [Beador], I am now on reasonably good terms with all the women!! FINALLY! It feels good.” That might have been true whenever that episode filmed, but that is definitely not the case these days.
Kelly wrote, “Let’s start off with Meghan since she always seems to be digging at me every chance she gets in her blogs and interviews. It is strange to me that Meghan would be so critical of Jimmy, considering that he seems to support her on everything she wants to do and provides her with a pretty amazing lifestyle. I was surprised that she felt compelled to say that Aspen has brought out the ‘softer’ side of Jimmy.”
Kelly continued, “That is, as she explains, when ‘…he is not being a huge a**hole, he is so sweet’ What? I don’t understand why she would say such a mean thing. Whenever Michael [Dodd] and I have been around Jimmy, he is always sweet and extremely nice to everyone.”
So is this a dig at Meghan or a defense of Jim?
Kelly seemed to have some sympathy for Tamra when she wrote, “I felt like crying when I heard Tamra’s mom crying on the phone.” But she immediately switched things up when she added, “To me, it seems like Tamra puts a lot of blame on everyone else. Her Dad, her Mom, Vicki [Gunvalson], Simon [Barney].”
Kelly addressed the rumors about Eddie [Judge] being secretly gay (yet again) when she wrote, “I just want to get something clear and out in the open. In discussions with me, I don’t believe Vicki ever intended to attack Eddie or Tamra’s marriage. I was the one that spewed the rumor in response to Tamra’s aggressiveness towards me in Ireland. Vicki never intended for that to happen. Sometimes when I watch Tamra, I think she is using the rumor about Eddie as a reason to hate on Vicki.”
Kelly also discussed Tamra and Peggy Sulahian’s awkward conversation during the last episode. She wondered, “Why does Tamra have to tense up and take on an aggressive posture just because someone mentions Vicki is a nice way? For Tamra to be happy, does everyone around her have to hate on Vicki all the time?”
Kelly continued, “I think Peggy’s intentions were noble. She was coming from a good place when she offered her advice. Peggy said, in essence, stop discussing it, stop digging up the past, get over it, and move on. I agree with Peggy. I know for me, it takes a whole lot more energy to stay angry than to forgive. The negativity eats me up inside. It’s just not worth it.”

In real life, being a third wheel isn’t a desired position, but it is the perfect spot for Big Brother veteran Paul Abrahamian. Like others before him, in Big Brother 19 Paul is following the third wheel game strategy that he hopes will finally win him the ultimate Big Brother prize of $500,000.
With only a few weeks left to go in the Big Brother 19 house, there is not much time left for the houseguests to align with the best players. Paul stays busy aligning himself with all the remaining couples to implement the third wheel plan. Will this strategy work for Paul?
The “power” couples remaining in the Big Brother 19 house are Jason Dent & Alex Ow, Matt Clines & Raven Walton, and Christmas Abbott & Josh Martinez. Paul has already managed to align himself with each of these three couples. He has final three deals with all of them, and more importantly, convinced them that he is a critical for their games.
As long as the plan to evict Mark Jansen plays out on Thursday night, Paul will have successfully created final game deals with EVERY member left in the Big Brother game, with the exception of the only other single player, Kevin Schlehuber. Paul is flirting with the notion of making a final two deal with Kevin to cover all of his bases. This strategy could work out beautifully for him, or this could blow up in his face if all of the couples start comparing notes with each other.
The recent game talks have looked beyond this week’s eviction, since the houseguests are set on Mark’s eviction. They have strategized about the next Head of Household, and their next eviction targets. Of course, the next target depends on which of the couples wins the Head of Household crown. Jason and Alex seem to be at the top of all the houseguests hit list. Alex, in particular, is a big target because she is a good competitor, and she has done so well in the game to date.
Although Paul has final three deals with all of the couples in the house, he made it fairly clear this week that he wants to go to the end with Christmas and Josh. Alex and Jason are a strong couple but probably too strong. Paul can’t afford to make the same mistake from Big Brother 18, when he chose to take Nicole Franzel over James Huling to the end. That mistake cost Paul $500,000.
Taking Christmas and Josh to the end makes the most sense for Paul. He could easily beat either of them in an endurance competition–thanks to Christmas’ broken leg and Josh’s inability to perform well in endurance comps. In addition, Paul has had Josh to do his dirty work this season, which should bode well for Paul with the jury votes.
We can’t get too far ahead of ourselves here with Big Brother 19. There is still a whole lot of game left to be played. There could be a coup d’état in the house that ousts Paul before he can come anywhere near a final three appearance again. However, for those Paul fans out there, he is thinking ahead and aligning himself with the right houseguests. Now we just have to sit back, eat our popcorn, and enjoy the show.
