Why Kody Brown is the Most Disliked TLC Villain of All Time

Kody Brown

Kody Brown of Sister Wives is a piece of work, and I would argue he is the most disliked villain on TLC. I mean, what isn’t there to hate between his crunchy curls and overall unlikeable personality? If you watched the earlier seasons, the Browns do come across as a genuinely loving family. I would argue Kody was in love with all four of his wives. He is patient, kind and considerate. He uses soft language, and he listens. But the man who appears in later seasons is an entirely different human being. Kody is now irritable, quick to anger, and unable to forgive any of his wives, which resulted in him losing his first three. No longer is TLC’s hit a series about a loving family, as it is more about how much Kody has morphed into his villain era.

He Spoke Down to His Wives

More than once, the father of 18 has called out his wives for “shit-talking” him. But what he calls shit-talking, most would call venting. From day one, Kody always wanted unquestioning loyalty but never gave that trait in return. Instead, cameras caught him often talking disrespectfully about his wives, except Robyn Brown, his favorite. During his big fight with Janelle Brown, the Arizona resident dared to call her “lazy.” Mind you, the mother of six has been one of the only wives to bring in a consistent paycheck while Kody has galavanted around town.

Kody has shown off his villain behavior a lot. During Season 16, Kody revealed some strict COVID-19 rules, which caused some major repercussions. And while Kody wanted to be the one the wives chose, it didn’t turn out that way, with Janelle and Christine Brown turning the tables. After getting kick back, Kody noted, “Frankly, I think Janelle is lazy about an ounce of prevention.” This wasn’t the only time he called his wives names; he also called both Christine and Janelle “two princesses giving ultimatums” when they didn’t want to move into one house on Coyote Pass.

He is at odds with the older kids

Hate is a strong word, but sometimes, the way Kody treats his older children is unusual. Sister Wives fans have watched as Kody cut out one son after the other for not agreeing with his dictator-like opinions. The polygamous patriarch has a terrible trait of being able to view his children differently once they hit the age of being able to talk back. Kody wants each of the children to come begging for forgiveness, or he is out of their lives. He also did this with his wives when they questioned him, often cutting them off romantically and sexually.

No one has forgotten how he failed to accompany his daughter, Ysabel Brown, for her back surgery but chose to officiate a wedding instead. Maddie Brown and Leon Brown no longer have anything to do with their dad, who stopped reaching out years before the family started to fall apart. If you didn’t like kids to begin with, why choose to have so many, Kody?

He Can’t Admit He Is Wrong

Kody rarely took accountability for anything that hadn’t gone as planned in his life. A great example of this is when he is dealing with the separation from Christine. The polygamous dad is happy to throw blame around as if it is a hacky sack but fails ever once to say, “I did X wrong.” I stand corrected; the only time Kody admitted he was wrong was when he noted he had given his wives too much freedom and should have established a patriarchy.

Personally, I think Kody has always been this way, which is why a religion like Mormonism would have interested him in the first place. I reckon Kody has always been the guy who could dish it but who falls apart the second he has to take an ounce of it back. Kody has embraced the notion that being a Mormon man makes him some sort of god. Basically, if his wives or children felt any negativity, it was always going to be their fault, not his.

The Worst Seasons of The Bachelor

Season 6 – Byron Velvick

In Season 6, Byron Velvick beat out Jay Overbye for the role of the Bachelor but he didn’t do much with it. It was a mediocre season with silly, forgettable drama and a shortage of memorable moments. Byron proposed to Mary Delgado in the finale but the two didn’t get their happily ever after. According to Us Weekly, they split in 2009.

Season 9 – Lorenzo Borghese

In Season 9, The Bachelor tried to class up their act by enlisting the help of an Italian prince, Lorenzo Borghese. The producers flew eligible Bachelorettes to Italy to try and win Lorenzo’s heart. It was a fun idea but unfortunately, the season didn’t hold the attention of viewers. To be honest, it was a total snooze.

Season 27 – Zach Shallcross

Zach Shallcross‘ season ended with a beautiful love story but aside from that, it was a pretty mediocre run. The drama was sparse, the ending was predictable, and Zach took the show very seriously. We needed more mess.

The Best Seasons of The Bachelor

Season 20 – Ben Higgins

Ben Higgins was the quintessential Bachelor. He was sweet, authentic, and there for the right reasons. He was also a little messy, which we love. We’ll never forget the drama he caused when he told two women he loved them. Genius!

Season 17 – Sean Lowe

Sean Lowe is one of the few success stories to come out of the show. He proposed to Catherine Giudici in the finale and the two are still together today. They tied the knot in 2014 and have since welcomed three beautiful children.

Season 24 – Peter Weber

As Hannah Brown would say, “BLESS THIS MESS.” This season was crazy for many reasons. First off, Peter Weber wasn’t exactly a refined gentleman looking for his wife. He was more of a twenty-something party boy who was easily led astray by temptation. Iconic! Peter’s messiness made the season amazing. He also had a group of truly unhinged women to help make the season even more of a rollercoaster. Ugh, if only every season was like his!

Season 13 – Jason Mesnick

Jason Mesnick was a fan favorite on The Bachelorette, so fans were delighted when he was chosen to lead Season 13 of The Bachelor. His season was entertaining from the beginning but what cemented its spot in the Bachelor Hall of Fame was how it ended. In the finale, he proposed to Melissa Rycroft but later broke off the engagement to pursue a relationship with Molly Malaney. The decision was controversial at the time but given that they are still together 14 years later, it’s safe to say the couple has proven their critics wrong.

What Is RuPaul’s Drag Race Star Gigi Goode Doing Now?

Gigi Goode starred on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 12. Here, Gigi clocked in as the runner-up, but it was Jaida Essence Hall who got the crown, and a spot on We’re Here Season 4. Even though Gigi didn’t win, placing in the top three is huge, so she deserves a lot of credit. Overall, her Snatch Game slayed, her lip sync number was beyond, and she never once fell into the bottom rankings.

However, Gigi’s year was a very political one. As the cameras went up on her season, America began falling apart, with George Floyd’s murder, police brutality protests, and Covid all playing out in the background. It was also an election year, so many of her costars started using their platforms to support the marginalized. On her end, Gigi stated that politics gave her anxiety.

Then, Gigi posted about her excitement over the finale, writing that she “cannot breathe.” It hit as tone deaf, and a slew of backlash followed. Thankfully, Gigi recanted, vowing that she’d “continue to learn, grow, and change on this journey we’re all strapped into.” Four years have since passed, so let’s take a peek into Gigi’s life now, and see what changes and new storylines this queen’s currently living out.

Gigi came out as Trans and underwent facial surgery

Gigi’s season wrapped in 2020. Roughly one year later, she took to her socials, expressing that while she still identified as genderfluid, she’s now “leaning more towards the nonbinary part of that. I identify as a trans/nonbinary person and I prefer she/her pronouns.” She went on to explain that the lockdown, which was caused by the pandemic, “was so crucial for me to have that time to myself. It gave me a lot of time to think and reflect.”

After reflecting, Gigi “decided to begin the process of hormone replacement therapy.” She also underwent facial feminization surgery. These are major events, so Gigi explained that she still had “a lot more healing to go.”

Ok, werk that license

During her recovery period, Gigi tackled the arduous paperwork that would allow her to legally change her name to Gigi. She persevered in her papery trenches, sharing a brand-new driver’s license with an updated legal name, and also her new gender marker. This was a huge moment for Gigi, who captioned her post using only a smiling face with a tear emoji.

Gigi returned to the House of Avalon

Before strutting herself onto RuPaul’s series, Gigi was connected to the members of the House of Avalon. This is a chosen-family collective of Arkansas transplants, who now reside together in an L.A. duplex. After filming, she reunited with this family, and during quarantine, they all started to operate as their own public access channel. Here, they put on a wide variety of sketches to help entertain us, unworthy watchers, as we were stuck inside, getting all fat and sassy on our couches.

As their viewership grew, this channel started featuring the Sisters of Avalon, a group of three close collaborators and recurring partners who were close to the house. This is where Gigi entered in. Her recurring Gigi’s Wig Rehab sketch was brilliant. Watching Gigi work her coloring and cutting skills on various wigs was oddly therapeutic, like one of those cookie decorating clips, where everything just works seamlessly, drawing you in.

Oh hi, Avalon TV

With Gigi’s fame that came from starring on RuPaul’s Drag Race, combined with the successes seen from her family’s campy, fun, group-produced series, these friends grew determined to bring House of Avalon to television. On this, 2023 delivered. This drag collective scored themselves a sketch comedy show called Avalon TV. This series aired on World of Wonder Presents, a subscription-based streaming service.

On Avalon TV, comedy sketches are the norm. A few examples that can be seen are Chosen Family Matters, which is clearly a spoof of the old-school TGIF series Family Matters. Then there’s also Dragass, a Jackass parody that involves actual comedic stunts. In addition to these sketches, viewers can also find celebrities popping in, nipples popping out, and a whole slew of other hysterical moments within.

The best part is that Season 2 was just announced. It’s expected to air at some point in 2024.

Now, she’s colliding with other queens

Ok, look. No, Gigi did not star in anything with Beyoncé. However, when queens collide, it’s newsworthy, so I’m including this in my “Where is Gigi now” notes, as I should.

Meeting earlier in 2024, Gigi shared a few images of herself and Bey, gushing “Literally can’t even think of what to caption this. I met Beyoncé?! Thank you so much to the @cecred team and to queen Bey for being so sweet and thinking my bangs were real.”

Gigi’s going to remain booked and busy

One look at Gigi’s socials will tell you that she’s in high demand. She’s also choosing to take on every opportunity that comes her way. From brand endorsements to fashion ads, she’s making bank. Likewise, she’s also traveling around the world, with a few catwalks seen on the side.

The best part is that Gigi’s also using her platform to speak out on LGBTQIA+ issues. This includes suicide prevention and also crisis intervention assistance for LGBTQIA+ youth. I love women. Keep on serving c*nt, Gigi.

Are 90 Day Fiancé’s Rob Warne & Sophie Sierra Still Together?

TLC/YouTube

Rob Warne and Sophie Sierra have had a tumultuous relationship during their time on 90 Day Fiancé, but is it over now? The couple has faced ups and downs throughout their time on the franchise, with notably more downs. There have been recent rumors indicating that Rob and Sophie have split, so let’s dive into it.

Rob and Sophie’s problems started on 90 Day Fiancé Season 10

Rob and Sophie made their debut on 90 Day Fiancé Season 10, where they butted heads almost immediately. Sophie was not impressed with Rob’s house in Los Angeles, which didn’t have a bathroom indoors. Rob, on the other hand, didn’t see any issue with this and instead felt that Sophie was too high maintenance.

Problems escalated between the couple when Sophie discovered that Rob was once again online cheating on her. This has happened before, but Sophie forgave him in hopes that he wouldn’t do it again. After discovering that Rob’s bad habits had continued, Sophie decided to leave and stay in a hotel for a while. Ultimately, Sophie forgave Rob again and moved back in.

Rob also struggled to maintain a positive relationship with Sophie’s mother, Claire Sierra. Claire encouraged Sophie to reevaluate her relationship with Rob, as she wasn’t happy with how he was treating her. Despite all of their issues, Rob and Sophie decided to get married at the end of the season.

Things got worse on Happily Ever After? Season 8

Immediately after appearing on 90 Day Fiancé Season 10, Rob and Sophie returned for 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Season 8. After moving from Los Angeles to Austin, things continued going south for the couple. Sophie discovered that Rob had been online cheating with more women than she thought, which caused her to move out and live with a friend.

Rob and Sophie later met up to try to work through things, which once again ended poorly. After some more time apart, Sophie attempted to move back home just to clash with Rob once again. To fix their problems, Rob had written out a list of things for Sophie to do that he believed could help their marriage. The list included things such as cleaning up after doing her make-up and hair.

The couple has now been met with a new problem, after the arrival of Sophie’s friend Callum from England. Rob found out from Callum that he and Sophie used to date, and felt frustrated that he hadn’t heard it from Sophie first. As soon as Rob and Sophie overcome one problem in their relationship, it seems that another appears right away.

Rob and Sophie were spotted filming for The Last Resort Season 2

It may not be long until Rob and Sophie grace our screens yet again. Eagle-eyed fans have recently spotted the pair filming for the newest 90 Day spin-off, 90 Day: The Last Resort. The spin-off provides troubled franchise couples with a two-week retreat, where they participate in couples therapy to try to save their relationship. Being on The Last Resort is never a good sign, and unfortunately, it checks out that Rob and Sophie will likely be on Season 2.

Rob and Sophie didn’t seem intent on keeping their newest venture a secret, as they both posted from the same location. The Last Resort Season 2 is allegedly being filmed in Arizona, where it seems Rob and Sophie both were recently. Furthermore, Rob and Sophie both posted pictures that were visibly in the same outdoor patio area, based on the pattern of the chairs in them.

It seems like Rob and Sophie are most likely broken up

Recently, several sources have reported that Rob and Sophie have officially broken up. Allegedly, the pair is waiting to file for divorce since their storyline is still playing out on television. Rob and Sophie have wiped one another off their Instagram pages and unfollowed each other, further hinting at their split.

While it is never fun to see a 90 Day Fiancé couple part ways, Rob and Sophie’s supposed split is one many viewers saw coming. It seemed apparent from the jump that Rob and Sophie weren’t very compatible. The pair tried many different things to make their relationship work, but ultimately nothing worked long-term. While Rob and Sophie’s split is still not officially confirmed, it seems more likely than not that they are no longer together.

Tiffany Moon Teases ‘Fabulous’ Women’s Empowerment Conference

Photo By: Richard Rodriguez/Getty Images for World of Barbie Dallas

Hoping to make a true impact. Dr. Tiffany Moon was a powerhouse addition to The Real Housewives of Dallas in its fifth and final season. She was the first Housewife of Asian American descent when cast in 2020. The anesthesiologist and entrepreneur was a fan favorite. She brought a lot of fashion, wit, and her unique cultural perspective to the show.

Now, the mother of two wants to use her Real Housewives platform to bring positive changes.

“Self-help” books were the inspiration

Tiffany exclusively told People that her next entrepreneurial venture involves taking a “leap of faith.”

The former Bravolebrity likened her apprehension about committing to the project to joining the Real Housewives of Dallas in the first place.

“I had this discussion with my husband many a night over a glass of Three Moons wine,” Tiffany said. “I was like, ‘Will I ruin my reputation as a well-respected physician who publishes papers, mentors medical students, and takes care of patients? Is Housewives compatible with that?”

So what made Tiffany change her mind and pursue the new project? Some of it has to do with her milestone birthday this year.

“I turn 40 this year, I was reading a bunch of self-help, like ‘new year, new you’ stuff,” she explained. “I was listening to a podcast and reading a book. They asked, ‘What would you do if you weren’t afraid?'”

“I would plan my own women’s empowerment conference with the speakers that I want, in the venue that I want, with a super glam Saturday night gala to rival many wedding receptions. It’s going to be fabulous, because it’s a Tiffany Moon event,” the former reality TV star added.

Tiffany has recruited several Real Housewives

Finally, LedHer Summit got the green light. Tiffany will be hosting the women’s empowerment conference in November. The most important aspect was lining up engaging speakers.

“So I started reaching out to some of my girlfriends because the meat of the conference is the speakers. If we don’t have amazing inspiring educational speakers, it’s just a nice party,” Tiffany explained. “So I started reaching out to some of my girlfriends who have built companies, overcome challenges, started medical practices — all these women that I look up to.”

So far, fellow anesthesiologist and entrepreneur, Dr. Nicole Martin of The Real Housewives of Miami has signed up. Co-founder of the coconut water company Real Coco, and former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Crystal Kung Minkoff is also on the roster.

“There are many, many topics pertaining to women that don’t matter what field you work in, whether it’s finance, law, medicine — skills like negotiation, communication, marketing and social media strategy,” Tiffany explained of her vision for the event.

“I want people to know that we are so much more than just housewives,” she added. “Not that that’s derogatory in any sense, but I think the popular opinion is that housewives are known for being a little showy, right? There’s a certain element of like lifestyle porn, they want to see the clothes, the fashion, the houses.”

Regarding her two Real Housewives guests, Tiffany wants to portray them in their roles outside of reality TV. Her goal is, “to show people that Dr. Nicole Martin is an accomplished anesthesiologist, she takes care of people, she just had a baby, she does a lot of charitable work, Crystal works with coconut farms in Asia where they grow the coconuts, and she makes sure that those workers are treated equitably, which I cannot say is necessarily true for other companies that employ workers in Asia.”

Tiffany wants the attendees to also “take a leap of faith”

It’s about seeing beyond “the fighting and fashion.” Tiffany told the news publication, “We are so much more than that. And both of those women will be talking about their companies in their lives in a capacity outside of housewives.”

The former Bravolebrity revealed her mission statement, and it’s about encouraging women to pursue whatever dream it is that they have.

“I want the attendees who come to be entertained, inspired, and educated to do all the things in their life that maybe they’re a little bit afraid of. To take a leap of faith like I am with this conference,” Tiffany concluded. “We all want to do big things. But we have this little voice that’s like, ‘What if people laugh at me? What if it doesn’t work? What if I lose money? All the what ifs. It doesn’t matter. You really, really have to go for it.”
