Bethenny Frankel Joining Shark Tank This Fall!

The entrepreneurial waters might be getting a lot more dramatic soon because Bethenny Frankel has added another reality show gig to her growing roster. The Real Housewives of New York star and Skinnygirl mogul will be joining the Shark Tank panel this fall on ABC.

In addition to landing a real estate spinoff on Bravo with friend and Million Dollar Listing NY star Fredrik Eklund, Bethenny will now be investing in – or trampling on – the dreams of would be entrepreneurs far and wide! In addition to Shark Tank’s standard panel, Bethenny will guest star when only four of the six “sharks” are present.

Bethenny made the announcement on Instagram Monday, posting, “I guess I am a shark after all. Watch out @sharktankabc – comin’ for u this fall. Are you as excited as I am? #sharktank.”

Shark Tank’s panel has traditionally included heavyweights of business Daymond John, Mark Cuban, Kevin O’Leary, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec and Barbara Corcoran. The format of the show, with which may are familiar, includes hopeful entrepreneurs and inventors pitching their ideas to the panel in hopes that one or more “sharks” will bid on investing in them.

Page Six reports that Alex “A-Rod” Rodriquez, former baseball player and constant celeb-dater, will also guest star on the panel.

Bethenny’s rags-to-riches story has been prominently featured during her many years on Bravo. She broke into the business big leagues with her Skinnygirl cocktail company, which she sold at a cool $8.1 million in 2011, eventually branding the trademark into a larger empire of food, drink, and clothing.

Now in the midst of watching RHONY season 7 unfold, I can’t help but think that Bethenny seems to be phoning it in lately. Maybe it was the sh*tshow of last year that did her in. Or perhaps Ramona Singer’s frantic, nearly rabid behavior is wearing thin on her. In any case, it seems like this could be Bethenny’s last season on the franchise. Or, maybe she’ll keep the housewives gig in the rotation as a jumping off point for more TV and brand exposure?

In any case, one burning question remains: Will Sonja Morgan be pitching her toaster oven concept on Shark Tank anytime soon? Or perhaps a bidet-laundering boutique? Because THAT, my friends, would be worth some repeat viewing. She’s an International Lifestyle Luxury Brand, people!

Dorinda Medley Thinks Sonja Morgan Is Torturing Tinsley Mortimer!

Dorinda Medley had a fairly drama-free week on The Real Housewives Of New York, but she does have some thoughts on the other ladies’ behavior. Rooting for Tinsley Mortimer, Dorinda wonders if her living with Sonja Morgan is doing more harm than good. Strangely, Dorinda doesn’t touch on the feud between Bethenny Frankel and Ramona Singer in her blog though. (What’s up with that?) She does, however, reflect on the emotional moment she shared with her daughter, Hannah, at her late husband, Richard’s grave.

Dorinda shares, “I was overwhelmed and deeply touched by Hannah’s speech. You only saw a small part of it but it was incredible and heartfelt. I always knew that Richard and Hannah had a special relationship but I do not think I understood how strong their bond was and how his passing affected her in so many ways. I feel this was a watershed moment for Hannah – a hard, difficult moment.”

Adding that it was “necessary” for Hannah to “get it all out there,” Dorinda gushes that she “was so proud of her and it made the day not only more special, but gave it a sense of real completion.”

Moving on to Luann de Lesseps’ big day, Dorinda says she gives the bride’s dress – and her own bridesmaid’s dress – two thumbs up! “I love Luann’s dress an MY bridesmaid’s dress. As I said throughout this whole engagement, I never thought I would be a bridesmaid at this age (more of a mother of the bride), but I am excited. In the words of her sister Rene, “I love lace” too. This is a very exciting time and it its all happening so fast. I have never seen Luann happier and it is time for people to either celebrate with her or be silent. The wedding is weeks away and there is no more room for negativity. And I look great in rose pink satin!”

Dorinda does not give the living arrangement going on at Lady Morgan’s house two thumbs up, however! She writes in her blog, “I am confused watching the living situation of Sonja and Tinsley. I get the feeling that Tinsley is being watched and almost tortured. I would feel completely uncomfortable to be a guest of someone that I thought was following my every move and implementing ‘pop up’ rules of acting appropriately as a house guest. Clearly Tinsley is well raised and from a good family. Additionally, she just moved back from Palm Beach from a dreadful situation. She is coming back to NYC a bit hesitant and hurt.”

“I want Sonja’s home to be a place of refuge for her to heal and grow back into NYC and her new life,” continues Dorinda. So, she has some serious advice for the socialite with a broken wing: “Tinsley has been through enough and needs kindness and comforting, not criticism. I hope they work this living situation out or it will clearly end badly. But as I said before, Tinsley, move out!!!”

Yikes. If Tinsley decides to take Carole Radziwill up on her offer of a vacant apartment in her building, Sonja will surely become the night stalker on that block! Maybe Dorinda can help Tinsley craft a deep cover exit strategy, military style?

Dorinda also has some advice for Carole and her couch of many cat-clawings! She jokes, “One comment about Carole’s famous couch. Never get rid of it. I don’t care if it’s shredded to bits – it’s iconic! This couch is from her late husband’s mother and has the old school, not to be found anymore tiger fabric. I believe it’s Salamander, isn’t it? Well I love it and every time I see it I think the stories it could tell!”

Second Wives Club’s Veronika Obeng Already Divorced From Dr. Michael Obeng Over Infidelity; He Sued To Stop Show From Airing!

Veronika Obeng is starring on Second Wives Club as the THIRD wife, of Dr. Michael Obeng, a successful Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, but reality is stranger than reality TV because now Veronika is actually his third ex-wife!

Not only that, but Michael attempted to block the E! show from airing certain episodes claiming he did not sign up for a show to make his marriage look bad. Um, how about look real? Cause your wife caught you cheating, dude!

Veronika and Michael, who have 3 children together (and five from previous marriages) filed for divorce in July 2016, after Veronika discovered Michael’s affair via a secret Instagram page owned by his mistress. That’s worse than being dumped on a post-it note, right?

Unfortunately Second Wives Club was filming amid Veronika’s discovery and she decided to make Michael’s infidelity public knowledge. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned on reality TV!

That wasn’t OK with Michael. In a lawsuit, he claims the show was “staged” and put them in false situations designed to embarrass his reputation. “The Series was nothing about the couple’s happy marriage…” alleges Michael’s complaint. “The Defendants constantly staged Plaintiff in artificial situations and demanded Plaintiff to engage in conflicts that were often fraudulent and deceptive.”

Variety reports that Dr. Obeng, through his attorney, sent a letter to E! in August ’16 arguing that the “unrealistic and manufactured personality,” the network forced upon him could be harmful to his business once aired. He also demanded that he and his children be retroactively removed from the show. Interestingly, his letter mentions Second Wives Club as being named “Famously Married.”

Clearly Michael’s injunction suit went nowhere as evidenced by the show currently airing featuring both him and his children. In fact a rep for the network stated, “E! has not received a complaint and will not comment on this matter.” And, in an interview, Veronika attests that the portrayal of her and Micheal’s failing marriage is all-too accurate!

Veronika actually tells Bossip things were actually worse than cameras let on, and not only did Michael engage in an affair but he also cheated with prostitutes! Does this guy need some help from Dr. Drew or Dr. Phil, perhaps?

Veronika never envisioned the how things would turn out when signed up for the show, and says the “negativity” with Michael unfolded organically “a week or so after shooting” started.

“I didn’t know what to share, when to share it, or how it would be received,” Veronika explains. “But the more I had to deal with with the situation of my husband’s infidelity and the women on the other side of his life – the hood rats and skanks were going to tell my story, which was not what happened. So I took all of that fear and said that truth was more important than being embarrassed.”

“I decided to live my truth because so many women don’t. And I thought, ‘Why did I sign up for a reality TV show and not live my truth?’ I refuse to be a prisoner to the camera or my situation.”

Veronika put everything into their marriage and the business, and scoffs at Michael’s cheating being blamed on her, “Why should I be embarrassed? You cheated on me. Why would I be embarrassed that you like hookers?”

You know what I find that attitude refreshing. Good for Veronika! Better than hiding it and not even being honest with their children… I mean she was pregnant and raising children, working and he’s running around? Um, no.

She shrugs off accusations that she’s a “gold digger” or that she used the situation to gain fame. On the show Veronika is shown working in Michael’s practice and recounts building the business together. Their divorce is not finalized, and she doesn’t discuss the specifics of settlement, etc.

Veronika describes the show as “empowering” and despite the painful experiencing of reliving the failure of her marriage, she would “definitely be down for a season two.”

“Life doesn’t stop when you find out your man has been unfaithful,” Veronika quips, “that’s when it gets real.” Touche! Honestly are these two born for reality TV or what – talk about crazy drama! And personally, so far, I’m really loving this show!
