As reported by The New York Times, the late actor’s daughter, Mercedes Kilmer, revealed that the cause of his demise was pneumonia. The veteran actor, who began his acting career in theater, was also diagnosed with throat cancer a decade ago. However, according to his daughter, he recovered from it later.

Hollywood actor Val Kilmer died from pneumonia on Tuesday, the news of which was confirmed by his daughter, Mercedes Kilmer. Apart from “Top Gun”, Val Kilmer also received recognition for playing the role of Jim Morrison in the 1991 film “The Doors” and Bruce Wayne, aka Batman, in Joel Schumacher’s 1995 directorial, “Batman Forever.” The actor has an extensive resume with his acting prowess seen in movies like “Thunderheart”, “True Romance,” “The Ghost and the Darkness,” “Alexander,” and “The Saint,” among others. Kilmer’s most recent work was in the 2022 hit film “Top Gun: Maverick,” where he reprised his role as Tom Kazansky, aka Iceman, in the Tom Cruise starrer.
The late actor had also been a significant part of several television projects and theater productions. The list includes “The Murders in the Rue Morgue,” “The Spoils of Babylon”, “Psych,” “The Ten Commandments: The Musical,” “Citizen Twain,” and more.
More notably, the director of “Alexander,” William Oliver Stone, praised Val Kilmer in a 2007 interview for the television show “Biography.” According to The New York Times, Stone said, “Most actors recognize there’s something different in Val than meets the eye.”

However, the socialite has shut down the rumors and clarified that it was a “glitch.”

However, the TikToker also noted that the results could have been “delayed” due to the singer’s “17-minute deactivation on Instagram.”
The video was quick to garner attention on the platform and racked up over a million views. Shortly after the TikTok user shared it, Hailey herself took to the comments section to clarify the misunderstanding. The 28-year-old wrote, “It’s a glitch. Episode 4 kicked off with Brit and Angela going on a stroll through the park. The two were talking about navigating the new circle of friends, and their approaches to this world couldn’t be more different.
On one hand, you have Angela reflecting on her argument with Shamea. They fully insulted each other last week, but Mrs. Charles Oakley said she still wanted to give Shamea a chance. Brit on the other hand? She’s still pissed off at Kenya because of a comment she made about her wedding band at Shamea’s birthday party in Episode 1.
For those keeping track at home, Brit has mentioned this wedding band comment in every single episode so far. It’s a lot of energy over such a small remark, but Brit seems eager to feud with a RHOA legend. She even admitted to having a preconceived notion about Kenya, along with a history of feuding with other women.
“With females, they’re either going to love me or they’re going to hate me,” Brit said in a confessional, clearly foreshadowing what was to come.
Good co-parents, bad spouses

This week, Ralph emerged from the basement and into the front yard to play with his kids. Drew joined them, and if you didn’t know better, you’d think they were one big happy family.
Drew explained that the two of them were trying to take things one day at a time. They’re not supposed to talk about the divorce in front of the kids, even though at least one of them stumbled across an article detailing the whole thing. Whoops! Regardless of that mishap, Drew seemed to feel positive about the direction of their co-parenting.
In a confessional, Ralph said that the big thing he wants in the divorce is joint custody of the kids. Drew said she was fine with that and even admitted that she was okay with Ralph’s joint custody. So, what’s the hold-up here? We’re not sure.
Business is booming in Atlanta

Across the board, all of the Housewives were working their peaches off in Episode 4. Drew was in the studio with Dennis (sorry Porsha), Shamea was putting the finishing touches on her song, and Porsha was meeting with her team with high hopes of building a billion-dollar lifestyle brand.
Elsewhere in Atlanta, Kenya was putting the finishing touches in the Kenya Moore Hair Spa. She invited Kelli to get a sneak peek at the space, and with the grand opening right around the corner, she wanted to get some business advice from the Waffle Queen herself.
At the hair spa, the ladies had a heartfelt conversation about abusive exes and co-parenting. When talking about the business, Kenya admitted that she felt nervous. She invested $400,000 into the spa, but she doesn’t know if she made the right decision. Kelli gave her some words of encouragement, but you couldn’t help but have a sinking feeling in your stomach watching this. We all know what’s about to happen at the grand opening of this hair spa.
Black Excellence at The Bank

Thanks to Angela, the ladies got together for another all-cast event. Angela called it the “Black Excellence” dinner, and it took place at an insane-looking venue called The Bank. They were supposed to wear all black, but for some reason, Kenya didn’t get the memo. She showed up in a turquoise Versace dress.
Apparently, Kenya also didn’t get the memo that she was supposed to greet Brit with an abundance of enthusiasm. After Kenya got to the table, Brit started making a fuss about how Kenya didn’t give her a warm enough greeting.
“That was a pat, not a hug,” Brit complained.
Meanwhile, Shamea showed up with a bottle of olive oil with a twig in it. She called it her “olive branch,” and she brought it for Angela. It was ridiculous, but Shamea did give Angela a genuine apology over the nose comments. Whether or not this truce will last? That’s still to be determined, but you have to appreciate Shamea for committing to the bit. If only everyone in this cast could be this lighthearted.
The deposit slip that changed everything

At the dinner, Angela decided to play a shady game with the ladies where they had to write down an anonymous question on a deposit slip. Obviously, this had trouble written all over it, but no one could have predicted the night would end in gun threats.
The questions started off lighthearted, but then Kenya got back-to-back deposit slips that were very clearly from Brit. One asked Kenya why she was worried about married women, the other asked why she hadn’t been nice to Brit. She wanted a moment, but Kenya didn’t want to give it to her.
Kenya looked at her and said, “Peasants cannot come for a queen,” and from there, Brit lost her damn mind. She started huffing and puffing as if this was the worst insult she had ever received in her life. Things escalated, and all of a sudden, the Black Excellence dinner was over.
As Brit stormed out of the venue, her words escalated to a point that should have prompted intervention from production. As clear as day, she said, “I still got my pistol,” in reference to Kenya.
Saying it once wasn’t enough. She casually referenced her firearm twice, and we’re still trying to figure out why she got so mad. We’re not sure if something significant got edited out from this scene or if this woman is just extremely triggered by Kenya’s presence. Either way, the episode ended with Kenya riding away in the car with Porsha, expressing serious concerns about the words coming from their new castmate.

As you can see, the list of reality television stars who have experienced tax problems is massive. These stars bring in decent paychecks, so taxes should be easy for them to pay. Yet, taxes are not always cut and dry, as we examine countless reality television stars who have experienced tax woes over the past two decades.
So, why is this the case? Cue The Tax Defenders, writing an in-depth blog about this topic in 2023. I will share their top answers with you now.
According to a partner at Bambridge Accountants in New York, AKA Alistair Bambridge, erratic pay schedules play a role. As Alistair notes, “Celebrities have erratic pay cycles. They may have years where they have massive contracts and then very little income the next. That frequently leads to tax issues, as they think they can use money from next year and have difficulty budgeting or saving.”
Chantay Bridges, a realtor, author, speaker, and philanthropist, blames the greed of bad actors, otherwise known as wallet-loving accountants, alongside a poor understanding of rules and laws for those who self-file.
Finally, Rosalean Batool, a wellness and lifestyle coach, answered this question with two words: Poverty identity. “For most celebrities, being rich is unfamiliar and therefore unsafe.” Having money “creates a poverty identity” where celebrities “hoard,” “mismanage,” or “recklessly” spend their funds.
Teresa Giudice and Luis Ruelas are making recent tax-related headlines

Teresa and her husband, Luis, both have in-progress tax troubles. Their household owes $3 million in total, payable to the IRS. In the world of reality television stars with tax issues, these two are making the bulk of the headlines on this topic. Luckily, they are used to being in the hot seat, as proven by their time spent on Real Housewives of New Jersey.
In 2024, Luis took out a $1 million loan against his home with Teresa. On March 6, 2025, court documents surfaced showing that Luis now owes over $2.5 million in taxes to the state of New Jersey. As rumor has it, Luis is reportedly begging for more time to repay his loan.
With Luis explained, now Teresa. On March 20, the Mercer County, New Jersey, courts filed a judgment against her via a case deemed “Division of Taxation vs Teresa Giudice.” According to their findings and documentation, Teresa owes their state another $303,889.20.
To her credit, Teresa has successfully paid down her fees and fines for several years. Hopefully, a contract for RHONJ Season 15 will arrive at her doorstep shortly to help boost her payments made back to the state of New Jersey.
Todd and Julie Chrisley are still serving time over their recent tax-related problems

Todd Chrisley and his wife, Julie Chrisley, have also made recent headlines for their shared tax troubles. These two are now serving prison sentences after being convicted of bank fraud, tax evasion, and conspiracy to defraud the IRS. Todd spends his days at the Federal Prison Camp Pensacola in Florida. Meanwhile, Julie resides at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
In Atlanta, Todd and Julie were found guilty of conspiring to defraud community banks out of over $36 million in fraudulent loans, defrauding the IRS, and committing tax evasion. Julie also scored a few extra convictions, like obstruction of justice and wire fraud. Chrisley Knows Best, eh? Nope.
Todd received a 12-year prison sentence, while Julie snagged seven years. Nevertheless, they claim that their case got mishandled. As they reside in custody, they are now fighting back, hoping to have their sentences pardoned. Even though his guards removed his MAGA sticker from his cell, Todd (and Julie) continue to carry hope that POTUS will soon wipe their slates clean.

Dr. Contessa and Dr. Heavenly went for another round

Last week during the M2M reunion, Toya and Simone both claimed they heard rumors about Damon’s infidelity. The two of them were adding fuel to Dr. Contessa’s allegations about him having an unclaimed child running around somewhere.
Dr. Heavenly didn’t flinch over the accusations. Instead, she looked at Contessa and made a comment about her breasts being too far apart from one another. This is deflection at its finest.
“Please don’t talk about me when you got botched surgery,” Heavenly said.
Again, this isn’t the behavior you’d expect from the “Day of Accountability,” but Contessa and Heavenly are very much trapped in a toxic cycle. They apologize and act like they want to move forward, right before ripping each other to shreds.
Dr. Simone pointed out how it all boils down to Heavenly’s social media antics. It’s a road we’ve been down a million times, and even Andy seemed perplexed on how they’re still having this same exact conversation.
“This is possibly the tenth reunion where we’re talking about your social media,” Andy pointed out to Heavenly.
Sweet Tea shared an IVF update

During Part 1 of the M2M Season 11 reunion, fans couldn’t help but feel bad for Lateasha as she got raked over the coals by Quad, Heavenly, and Toya. The roast of Sweet Tea continued this week, but she did give us an update on her baby journey.
You’ll remember how earlier in Season 11, Greg gave a firm timeline for getting Baby Lunceford into the world. At the reunion, Lateasha revealed that they’re working on making it happen. She had two failed IUI attempts, and for the next steps, she’s going to start IVF. Unlike Quad, she won’t be working with Dr. Jackie.
Moments after she shared the IVF update, the former Mrs. Lunceford gave Tea a scathing read.
“You so worried about Gregory,” Sweet Tea said, opening up a can of worms she wasn’t ready for.
“Are you serious? You have absolutely nothing, and you have my scraps.” Quad replied.
“[Scraps] that I let you have. You had to crawl into a DM and lie to him and say that you can give him a baby and you have not made good on that,” Quad continued. Yikes!
If there were winners and losers at this reunion, we have to say that Dr. Mimi was a winner. Not only was she the best dressed, but when she came out to the reunion sage, she entered with a (much-needed) calming presence. It makes sense that she’s a psychiatrist!
As the newbie of Season 11, Dr. Mimi talked about her time on the show and had nothing but positive things to say. She also ran through a quick diagnosis for every single cast member. Whether or not they’ll take her advice is another story.
Either way, Toya commended Mimi for how she navigated her rookie season. Although she was introduced to the group via Sweet Tea, Mimi took time to make connections across the entire cast.
“I love the fact that Mimi came in with no preconceived notions,” Toya explained. “She genuinely spent time getting to know each and every individual, and she communicated well what her thoughts were about certain situations.”
With that in mind, we’re going to go ahead and manifest Dr. Mimi getting upgraded to a full-time cast member for M2M Season 12. She and her husband have been great additions, and I have a feeling that this group will continue needing a psychiatrist in their midst.
It’s not a Married to Med reunion without Andy’s sitting down with the husbands. It’s usually a moment of levity, but this season, there was a lot of drama to discuss. You can thank Dr. Greg for that.
The reunion was the first time that Greg and King had come face to face since their little incident on the sandbar. Everyone was on pins and needles about how that would go, but they barely addressed it in Part 2. Instead, Greg spent most of his time on stage arguing with Damon.
Earlier in the season, we learned how Lateasha and Heavenly’s feud spilled over into their husbands. Damon said he was referring patients to Dr. G, who then turned around and rejected them. It’s shady. It’s unprofessional, and Damon is so mild-mannered in his delivery that it’s almost impossible not to take his side on it.
“You got mad, and you got in your feelings, and you said, ‘I’m not going to see your patients anymore,'” Damon claimed. “That’s childish.”
Greg admitted that he had been refusing some of Damon’s referrals, but he said it was because they were “high-maintenance” patients with addictions. Still, Damon wasn’t letting that slide.
He replied, “You were taking them for years, and all of a sudden it got complicated?”
In the end, the two agreed to disagree. Andy suggested that the two go for lunch to talk through the issue as if these were two Real Housewives feuding over a candle line.
Simone and Quad had a backstage blowup

While the husbands were on stage, the ladies of M2M were crammed into some random back room, sitting on couches, and watching their men talk to Andy. Throughout the entire segment, the ladies were bickering. You might blame it on the table full of booze behind them.
First, it was Sweet Tea and Heavenly going back and forth. Then, Toya got involved. However, things really escalated backstage when Andy started talking to the husbands about the drama between Quad and the Luncefords. Simone stuck up for the Luncefords, and Quad got activated.
“The fact that y’all ushered them back in this group is a f*cking problem,” Quad said. “Let’s start there.”
“We can usher in the people we’re f*cking with,” Simone argued, to which Quad replied, “Shut the f*ck up.”
From there, things quickly went from bad to worse. Simone got up into Quad’s face, security rushed in between them, and Dr. Contessa just sat there shaking her head. Once again, the “Day of Accountability” is going absolutely nowhere, but as the credits rolled, we got a peek into what’s coming next. It turns out, this feud between Simone and Quad is about much more than the Luncefords.
“You got exactly what karma had coming to you,” Simone screamed.

There’s something about Jax Taylor that always has me rooting for him. During his years on Vanderpump Rules, he was the worst. Between constantly cheating and all the lying, it was hard to find a bigger villain in the Bravoverse. Even Stassi Schroeder couldn’t tame the wild bartender. But this unbridled trait is what made Jax such a fun reality TV star to watch. After his break and then return to the small screen on The Valley, the father of one seemed to have matured. I found myself wanting to see Jax succeed. With Season 2 fast approaching, I am hoping beyond hope that Jax gives us a redemption arc. I mean, if Tom Sandoval can do it, so can Jax, right?
Jax Taylor is finally getting help
For years, viewers have watched Jax act out on more than one occasion. And for a very long time, many of us believed he had an issue with drinking. But this year, the former model revealed he had a years-long addiction to cocaine. While on the Bravo Hot Mic podcast, the 45-year-old revealed his struggles, which was eye-opening to many followers. Jax shared, “I have substance issues — primarily with cocaine. It’s hard to say out loud. I’ve been dealing with this on and off since I was 23, and now I’m 45. There was times where I would stop doing it, but then there were times where I’d go heavy on it.”
Jax’s admission not only helped the bartender take steps for his recovery, but it most likely helped others out there, too. He added, “I’ve never said this in my life. So to come out and say that I have an addiction [and] that I have a sickness that I have to work on the rest of my life is a really big deal for me. Obviously, it’s a huge weight lifted off my shoulders.” Jax has since enrolled in rehab to kick the addiction once and for all.
The Valley Season 2 won’t be a walk in the park for Jax Taylor
If the trailer for The Valley Season 2 is any indication of what is to come for Jax, it is going to be a rough road. The newest season will showcase his separation from estranged wife Brittany Cartwright. To say the two are not getting along is a major understatement. Brittany is seen telling the girls that “Jax is seeing people.” And that “he had a girl staying here at the house again last night” while cameras quickly scanned a lone thong on the counter. Another scene shows Jax being served with divorce papers, too.
The trailer also shows Brittany claiming that Jax has “people watching” her. Needless to say, this past summer has not been ideal for the Jax’s Studio City bar owner. If Jax is looking for forgiveness from Brittany or fans, he has a long road ahead of him. While some may think his rehab stints were a ploy, I believe he has finally hit his breaking point. And even though his marriage is clearly over, he still wants to be a good example for his son. This notion is commendable.
Jax Taylor was Bravo’s first villain
Jax solidified his TV image with his unapologetic behavior and lack of empathy. He walks a fine line between made-for-TV moments and pure offensive thoughts. Thanks to his ability to always put himself first, he was the man everyone loved to hate on Vanderpump Rules. For seven years, he bullied almost every cast member on the show. He often even referred to VPR as “his show,” which always annoyed Lisa Vanderpump. His impulse control issues and ability to gossip always led to blow-up fights that kept fans tuning in for more. Jax was ultimately let go from the show after he tweeted an accusation about Faith Stowers. He also had a long run of being insensitive to his co-stars’ mental health needs.
As Bravo’s first real villain, there is a place in the history books for Jax. Hopefully, with his new sobriety journey just starting, there is still time for him to turn the page on this new chapter. While I’ll personally never get tired of rewatching old scenes of Jax struggling with the truth, it will be nice to see him flourish. For now, I’ll just be getting my snacks ready for the premiere of Season 2 of The Valley because if you know Jax, there will always be fireworks.
