Sister Wives Star Christine Brown’s Mormon Royalty Roots Explained

Sister Wives Christine Brown

At times, Kody Brown might have mocked Christine Brown for acting like a “princess,” but it turns out she is Mormon royalty. The Sister Wives star’s second wife and first to leave has always been brought up in the Mormon religion, but as fans know, she has walked away from the church. However, her roots date back years. Here’s what we know about Christine’s Mormon-royalty connections.

Kody Brown married Christine Brown for clout

“I was attracted to your pedigree” is probably not what Christine wanted to her from her husband. However, for the patriarch, Christine’s family ties were too hot to pass up. Christine’s family is considered a “blue blood polygamist” as her lines go really deep. Christine and the rest of her blood are VIPs in the fundamentalist Mormon offshoot, the Apostolic United Brethren. The Allred family has run the AUB for over three generations. Christine has claims to fame as her ancestor, Isaac Begat William, walked with Brigham Young into Salt Lake City.

Not surprisingly, Christine’s grandfather, Rulon C. Allred, founded the AUB. In 1961, Rulon purchased 640 acres of land near the Bitterroot Mountains, where he established a united order. By 1998, over 800 people lived there under the AUB flag. Unlike future leaders, Rulon “did not consider himself and his Priesthood Council to be superior to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its leadership.”

Rulon did bring back old-fashioned doctrines deemed out of date by the modern LDS church. This included practicing plural marriage, the Adam-God teachings, and the ban on Black people from receiving the priesthood. Christine’s father, Rex Allred, is still a practicing polygamist but is not the leader of the Allred group. Her mother left the church and her marriage in the early 90s.

There was a Wild West plot to kill Rulon Allred

I swear this part sounds right out of a Western. Rulon had 18 wives and at least 48 children. But all that kinship couldn’t help him when his own cousin decided to turn against him. Evril LeBaron, Christine’s great uncle, had formed his own sect/cult called the Church of the Lamb of God. Along with his 13 wives, 50 children, and followers, he was seen as the One Mighty and Strong Prophet, sent to Earth to purify the Mormon faith. Dubbed the Mormon Manson in 1977, Evril sent two followers to take out his rival, Rulon. One follower was one of his 13 wives.

According to the episode, I Lived with a Killer, the two women walked into the doctor’s surgery where Rulon worked and shot him to death in front of his patients. In 1991, via the Desert News, 20 of Rulon’s children sued Rena Chynoweth, one of the shooters. In 1992, Rena was found liable for the wrongful death of Rulon Allred and ordered to pay $52 million in damages to the Allred family. The debt was never paid. Needless to say, there was some deep generational trauma between the LeBarons and Allreds.

Christine Brown’s mother left polygamy too

In Season 8, Ruth Anne Stevens, Christine’s mother, opened up about her choosing to leave the church. She shared “I had a defining moment where I knew I was going to leave. And It was one of the most terrifying moments I’ve had in my life because you just don’t leave. People don’t leave.” At the time, Christine shared she knew her mother was unhappy, adding, “She left my dad, and she left our faith, and well, it wrecked my world completely. It was awful. When Aspyn was about four, we heard that my mom helped organize this group against plural marriage. There were several people that talked to us about how we should not associate with her anymore.”

As Christine prepared to leave her marriage, Season 17 highlighted why Kody wanted to marry the Mormon royal. He stated, “I felt a lot of pressure. She’s basically royalty in our church. I look back, and it wasn’t fair for me to go, ‘Oh, this will make me cool in our church,’ you know.” Christine rarely talks about her Mormon heritage now and is keeping her ancestry at arm’s length.

Candiace Dillard Bassett Pregnancy Timeline: When Is RHOP Alum’s Baby Due?

Candiace Dillard Bassett said goodbye to the adventures of the Real Housewives of Potomac earlier this year. She had had enough of the constant drama with the cast and the bad narrative regarding her husband, Chris Bassett. But she isn’t about to rest on her laurels as she announced she was expecting her first child shortly after her exit.

Candiace Dillard Bassett announces her pregnancy

In April 2024, Candiace announced her pregnancy during an interview with Entertainment Tonight. Just weeks after her Bravo departure, Candiace was ready to share that she would be embracing motherhood. During the interview, she revealed that she was 13 weeks along and still very early on in her journey. Candiace is already a stepmother to Chris’s three children, but this will be their first child together. She excitedly told the outlet, “It’s been weird, but also really wonderful, I think, to keep it kind of to ourselves to this point.”

Candiace added, “Our immediate family knows, my mom — I told my mom on her birthday in February — my dad knows, Chris’ parents know, my siblings know, and that is my core, best friend group, but outside of that, it’s just been, like, kind of quietly just growing a bun.” As fans know, the couple has been going through the IVF process. The RHOP star chronicled some of her fertility sessions as she froze her embryos. Candiace shared she got “the itch” noting “I always wondered, like, how would I know when I was ready? And I always felt like a part of my anxiety was that I wasn’t sure that I would know, and when I knew, it was undeniable.”

Candiace Dillard Bassett announces she is having a boy

Like most new parents, Chris and Candiace decided to do a creative gender reveal. The Miss United States alum and private chef did a simple blindfold paint reveal that showed they would welcome a bouncing baby boy. The couple sat on the kitchen floor of their home, and they both wore white button-down shirts. After the blindfolds had been pulled down, they finger-painted on the blank canvas, eventually revealing blue paint. Candiace captioned her video by writing, “You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.” -2 Timothy 2:1.”

While speaking to Us Weekly, Candiace said, “I started to feel a masculine energy. I just couldn’t deny the feeling of a sweet little boy growing inside of me.” The boys will outnumber Candiace as, along with the newborn, she will have Chris and his two sons. However, the beauty queen doesn’t seem to be bothered as she told the outlet, “It’s the most magical and indescribable experience. I think I’m actually going to miss it, but I also can’t wait to meet him and stare at him all day!”

When is Candiace Dillard Bassett’s baby due?

In August, Candiace was thrown a lavish baby shower that would make any expectant mother burst into tears. But she didn’t have just one party, she had two! The first baby shower was exquisite, and it felt like you had entered a French fairytale. Candiace stunned in a skin-tight white dress with feathers around the neckline. There was a blue cake that was decorated like the Hall of Mirrors in Paris. Every detail was absolutely stunning. The second party was a surprise and thrown by Candiace’s mother. The mother-to-be was surrounded by her best friends as the family sat down for a nice afternoon lunch.

Candiace wrote, “When you’re ripping and running all over the place, it can be easy to forget how blessed you are. I’m so grateful for my friends, my day ones!”  Currently, Candiace is all about her cravings. The former Real Housewives of Potomac star shared that “Olive Garden spaghetti with meat sauce, Apple Jacks cereal, and watermelon have been the top contenders. I’ve also had a few stretches where all I wanted was smash burgers … that was a great time.” The baby is due any day as she hinted, “I’m so happy to have a fall baby.”

Opinion: Kody Brown’s Wives Should Have Worked Together Through Their Divorces

Sister Wives
Photo Credit: Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images

The Sister Wives star isn’t known for his perseverance. Kody Brown has been pushing his first three wives away for years without ever stopping to think of the ramifications. Looking back, I really wish that Christine Brown had rallied the troops together and convinced Janelle Brown and Meri Brown to work together on their divorces.

Three Sister Wives heads are better than one Kody Brown

Sister Wives viewers watched Kody run the household more than we would like to admit. Every big decision came directly from the patriarch’s mouth. When he feared for his freedom, he packed the family up in the middle of the night and fled Utah. When Robyn Brown wanted to be close to her son in Arizona, he told the family they were leaving Las Vegas. Never once did he genuinely consider any of his spouse’s opinions. But I’d like to think that the ladies would have had some interesting compromises that probably would have left Kody feeling embarrassed for not thinking of them on his own.

The women worked well together for years as they raised one another’s children. Janelle, Meri, and Christine found time to mother, work, and be a wife to Kody. So, if they had been allowed a moment to share their thoughtful ideas, I think they would have won the popular vote. Fans will recall that the three wives did try to argue about leaving Las Vegas. Christine pointed out that they are a great family unit because they have the cul-de-sac to themselves. And the children had finally settled. Janelle also noted that their financial obligations would be high if they sold their homes in the down market. Sadly, their voices fell on deaf ears.

Kody Brown might have never come to power

I think the key to a successful coup was for the first three wives to get Robyn on their side. In my opinion, Meri worked hard on this. She befriended Kody’s fourth and favorite wife. They seemed to bond. Christine and Janelle weren’t mean, but they kept their distance. If all three had worked on forming a proper sister-wives’ relationship with the newcomer, I think things could have turned out very differently. But instead, their family took a drastic turn. Over the years, Kody has had his head turned by Robyn for her own gain.

However, it would have been very interesting to see all four of his wives ambush him with their shared ideas, wants, and dreams. I think Kody would have had no choice but to listen to them and heed their advice. The women could have made better choices for the family. Instead of buying Coyote Pass, where Kody once wanted to build one sizeable polygamous house, the women would have already been two steps ahead and axed the idea. Instead of renting in four different parts of town, the women could have worked together to find better locations that in turn, would have unloaded the stress Kody was bearing.

The Sister Wives’ divorces could have all been different

Picture it. It’s 2023, and Christine has decided she is leaving the family. Instead of springing it on everyone, she might have already shared her decision with Janelle and Meri. If they had been privy to the information, Kody’s tantrums wouldn’t have gotten off the ground. But the plot thickened on Sister Wives. Janelle made sure to speak with Meri even though they had never been that close. The mother of six wanted to make sure the OG wife was thinking about her future.

Janelle wanted to make sure that Meri knew exactly what was at stake the moment she shared with the father of 18 that she’d be leaving him. “I’m going to suggest to you that you protect your interest in it as far as what you’re entitled to — a quarter of it. I will watch out for you,” Janelle shares. Even though Meri shut down the idea, it was nice to see a glimpse of what a united sisterhood could have looked like. Instead, fans have been given a questionable Season 19 and a moody Kody.

How 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 7 Is Falling Short

Loren Allen 90 Day Fiancé

90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 7 is a little over two months in. When the season was first announced, viewers had high hopes as it promised major changes from the spin-off’s prior installments. Season 7 features an impressively diverse cast, featuring couples from various countries and backgrounds. The story lines this season are also unique. Many viewers were excited to see how Loren Allen’s revelation of being homeless in America to Faith Gatoc Tulod would go. And who could forget the crazy plot line of Veah Netherton bringing her ex to meet her new boyfriend, Sunny Mahdi.

Unfortunately, over the last two months, Before The 90 Days Season 7 hasn’t done much to impress fans. Several of the story lines that originally looked intriguing ended up being rather uninteresting once they began to play out. Season 7 has been rough, but maybe the latter half of the season can help to redeem itself.

Before The 90 Days Season 7 doesn’t have any couples worth rooting for

On almost every 90 Day Fiancé season, there’s at least one couple that the majority of viewers can agree is worth rooting for. However, this hasn’t been the case so far on Before The 90 Days Season 7. Several of the couples this season have been difficult to watch for a variety of reasons. On the other hand, the more neutral couples haven’t brought anything special to the table either.

Loren and Faith have been a controversial couple this season, mainly because Loren has rubbed viewers the wrong way. Brian Muniz and Ingrid Rezende have also received a lot of criticism, as Brian seems to be hiding a never-ending list of secrets from his partner. Rayne Fernandez has also infuriated fans with her bizarre treatment of Chidi Ikpeamaeze and his family. While Sunny has a likable personality, his segments with Veah have been spoiled by her hiding the fact that she brought her ex to South Africa behind Sunny’s back.

Tigerlily Abdelfattah and her husband Adnan Abdelfattah have gotten a good amount of screen time so far this season, but their segments still fall flat. There isn’t anything unlikable about either of them, however, we’ve already seen many story lines similar to theirs. Niles Valentine and Matilda Nti might be the best couple this season, although it feels like Matilda may be using Niles at times. The latter is pressuring the former to marry her immediately, despite it being clear that he isn’t ready. Vanja Grbic and Božo Vrdoljak were recently introduced, so it’s too early to form a strong like or dislike for them.

Before The 90 Days Season 7 has too many villains

While every 90 Day Fiancé season has at least one or two villainous cast members, this season has too many. One of the biggest villains this season is Loren, who has made far too many mistakes. Loren cheated on Faith and then revealed that he had an STD from doing so. If this isn’t villainous behavior, then I don’t know what is.

Another controversial individual this season has been Brian. The Illinois native hid multiple things from his partner Ingrid, including the fact that he used to be a drug dealer. Understandably, this upset Ingrid, and she considered it to be a red flag. Rayne has also made a bad impression on viewers, after her disrespectful behavior towards Chidi’s older sister.

Božo is already making a bad name for himself as well, after leading Vanja on. Following Vanja’s arrival in Croatia, Božo blindsided her by declaring that he only saw her as a friend. Veah is somewhat controversial as well after she concealed the fact that her ex joined her travels. Sunny forgave her but she definitely put him in an unfair situation.

The story lines this season aren’t evenly fleshed out

One of the most frustrating aspects this season has been how much more screen time some couples have as opposed to others. Tigerlily and Adnan were the first couple introduced and have had no shortage of segments. Two months into the season, we are already watching Tigerlily’s second trip to visit Adnan. Rayne and Chidi have also gotten a lot of coverage, and their break-up felt dragged out.

Niles and Matilda were the sixth pair introduced this season and some of their story has felt rushed. Everything has revolved around their wedding, and we haven’t seen many casual interactions between them. Vanja and Bozo also joined the season pretty late, which means that we likely won’t see a super fleshed-out story line from them either.

There is still one couple who hasn’t been introduced yet, despite the season already being two months in. Joe from Florida and Magda from Poland should be making their debut shortly. It’s always annoying when one couple is introduced halfway into the season, as it makes it feel like they’re playing catch-up. It will definitely be interesting to see how things turn out for them. Hopefully, Season 7 can turn around and improve before it’s too late!

Report: Teddi Mellencamp ‘Afraid’ of Edwin Arroyave Amid Divorce

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp says she’s “afraid” of her estranged husband Edwin Arroyave. She thinks he’s “determined to take her down” since she filed for divorce.

While the couple faced cheating allegations throughout their 13-year marriage, new claims of an affair have come to light. Recent news that Teddi was also unfaithful has only made things more difficult for the family.

Teddi Mellencamp’s “top priority” is her three young children

Only days after Teddi filed for divorce, Edwin filed his response. In court documents obtained by The U.S. Sun, Teddi listed their date of separation as October 20, while Edwin claimed it was November 1, 2024. Teddi requested primary custody of their three children, but her ex asked for joint physical and legal custody.

Teddi reportedly only cares about the “well-being” of her kids: Slate, 12; Cruz, 10; and Dove, 4. A source said, “She hates [their] being dragged through this … and how public it’s become. Shielding her kids from all of this negativity is her top priority.”

The friend also claimed, “[Teddi] is really disappointed Edwin can’t have the same grace towards her … He wants to look good and … to maintain custody of the kids. He’s willing to do [anything] to make that happen … [Edwin is] determined to come out on top.”

“She’s scared it’s gotten to this point and has grown … afraid of what he’s willing to do,” the source added. “If it wasn’t for the support from her friends and love for her kids, I’m not sure what Teddi would do.”

Though Teddi is requesting spousal support, court papers reflect that Edwin opposes her request. Not only is he opposing her request, but he wants Teddi to pay him spousal support.

The couple has a Premarital Agreement on file that sets the terms regarding the amount and duration of spousal support.

The U.S. Sun claims an inside source told them it was “100% Teddi’s decision to pull the trigger.”

“It was not just one thing that led to it,” the source revealed. “She would never leave the father of her children over a single thing … It took a long time … and a lot of pain … for her to decide that this is what was best for her and the kids.”

Infidelity on both sides played a part in Teddi’s decision

Teddi has spoken about Edwin’s infidelity in the past. In an October 2023 episode of Two Ts in a Pod, she admitted that their relationship was so bad that she couldn’t even look at him.

“For years, I had so much resentment towards Edwin,” she told co-host Tamra Judge. “It was to the point where I couldn’t even look at him. Once you’ve been burned, it’s hard to come back from that.”

When Tamra asked if Teddi was confessing that Edwin had cheated, Teddi grew more cryptic. “Let me just say, you get more controlling and more guarded when your family is involved.”

Earlier this week, reports came out amidst the divorce filing that Teddi had had an affair with her married horse trainer, Simon Schroeder. While admitting they were “both” unfaithful during their marriage, the source claimed, “Teddi and Edwin had been working on the problems of their marriage, despite past indiscretions. They stayed in the marriage for the sake of the kids.”

House of Villains Season 2, Episode 7 Recap: Kandy Is Out for Blood

You’ll need a hazmat suit for this week’s House of Villains recap. Things got extra messy in this episode, and literally, no one made it out without getting their hands dirty. After all, they’re villains.

House of Villains Season 2, Episode 7 had blood, sweat, tears, and of course, a little bit of glitter thanks to Kandy Muse. By the end, three more villains got added to the Hit List, meaning they’ll have to fight to stay alive for the $200,000 prize.

What happened in House of Villains Season 2, Episode 7?

After Camilla’s elimination, the villains regrouped and entered a bloody Battle Royale Challenge to determine a new Supervillain of the Week. Meanwhile, Wes devised a game-changing strategy that might be the craziest thing we’ve ever seen in a competition show. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

As if that’s not enough for one episode, Victoria and Larsa’s bickering reached new levels of toxicity. It got so wild that even Joel seemed a little bewildered. Keep on reading to get the details on everything that went down this week.

Kandy wants revenge

So far on House of Villains, Kandy’s alliance has been taking hit after hit. First, it was Larissa, then Richard, and most recently, Camilla. Realizing that the numbers were completely against her, Kandy came out of the Bashiment Ceremony making it known that she wasn’t going to be backing down.

Plus, there’s a lingering question about that vote against Camilla. The votes came to 4-2, so someone in the house is lying about how they’re playing. Either way, Kandy vowed to get revenge and loosen Wes’ grip over the house. Every cult crumbles eventually.

Elsewhere in the lair, Larsa hilariously tried to broker peace between Teresa and Tiffany. After their wild blowup in the previous episode, the two still had some lingering tension.

Fans of The Real Housewives of New Jersey probably weren’t surprised to hear that Teresa still felt hung up on the fact that New York accused Luis Ruelas of cheating. That’s a line you should not cross. However, thanks to Larsa, they were quickly able to squash their beef. Tiffany didn’t realize that Teresa couldn’t take that kind of heat.

“Sometimes I do get your show mixed up with Mob Wives,” Tiffany said in an attempt to smooth things over. “And I love Goodfellas. That’s one of my favorite movies!”

A bloody Battle Royale Challenge

For this week’s Battle Royale Challenge, Joel brought the villains into the Stronghold. Instead of its usual grey walls, they wrapped everything in plastic and put the villains in hazmat suits. Then, they learned that the name of this week’s challenge was “Blood On Your Hands.”

When Joel initially explained the rules of the game, it felt like he was explaining rocket science. Seriously, he made it sound so complicated, and you know they had to explain it really slowly for some of those villains.

In a nutshell, the villains had to trick each other into opening bags filled with fake blood. They’d face off in pairs, and the last person standing with no blood would win Supervillain of the Week. It’s a game of deception, which seems perfect for a Real Housewife, right? Wrong. Larsa and Tre got covered in blood, and it wound up coming down to Victoria and Kandy. That’s a lose-lose situation for Larsa.

In the end, Kandy wound up winning Supervillain of the Week. It came just in the nick of time because otherwise, she probably would have ended up on the Hit List. For the Supervillain reward, Kandy chose Jessie and New York to accompany her. She said she felt like she could trust Jessie. New York on the other hand, she’s just a wild card with a penchant for psychic visions. Why wouldn’t you want her in your corner?

Wes has an ace up his sleeve

Jessie Godderz and Wes Bergmann on House of Villains Season 2

When Wes came into House of Villains Season 2, he claimed that he was a MENSA-level genius. That might not be the case, but he is certainly a genius at being a reality TV competitor. Those skills were on full display this week once Kandy won Supervillain of the Week.

Although Kandy’s allies have mostly been eliminated, Wes realizes that she might be setting herself up to win the whole thing. If all of her friends have been eliminated, they’ll serve on the jury to decide who wins the whole thing. Those positive relationships are what helped the Season 1 winner. With that in mind, Wes decided to reveal his secret weapon: a fake prop promising immunity to a player who “discovers” it.

In a prerecorded video, we see Wes pulling out his best arts and crafts skills to make a note. It read, “Congrats, Villain! You have discovered a hidden immunity pass.”

Seriously, this thing was pretty convincing, and all of a sudden, it started to make sense why Victoria found that random Knock Blocker at the beginning of the season. The producers probably knew Wes was planning this trick and wanted to help make his lie seem more believable.

Where Wes messed up with this plan was that he lied and told Kandy that the immunity letter was actually a perk that would allow him to hijack her Supervillain of the Week status. That’s a big lie on top of an even bigger lie, and it proved to be a bit too much. After talking it over with New York and Jessie, Kandy realized something was suspicious about what Wes was trying to sell her.

Decisions, decisions

Ahead of the Banishment Ceremony, Kandy the Supervillain had a lot to consider. First, she had to figure out the look — she settled on an oversized blazer and black pumps. Then, she had to figure out how to handle the Wes situation. Does she take a chance and go after him, even if it evokes some type of “secret immunity pass?” Or, does she go after his alliances to weaken their group and even the playing field?

Ultimately, Kandy went for Option B. She sought to handicap the Wes cult and get some revenge for people who screwed her over earlier in the game. She decided to nominate Safaree, Victoria, and Larsa.

Those nominations should have been plenty of drama for one episode, but of course, Larsa and Victoria took it as another opportunity to rip each other to shreds. If they’re next to each other, they’re fighting, and at this point, the fact that Vicotria was ever even invited to Larsa’s dog’s birthday party is shocking.

As the villains walked out of the Stronghold, Larsa told her fellow villains that her beef with Victoria was getting “toxic.” She desperately wants her out of the game. Meanwhile, Victoria had her own thoughts on the drama.

“Dude, I seriously want to punch her in the f-cking face.”

Season 2 of House of Villains continues on Thursday nights at 10/9c on E!.

Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18, Episode 19 Recap: The Attacks Continue in the OC

Welcome to the recap for Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18, Episode 19, “Reunion Part 2.” Last week the women gathered for Part 1 of the reunion. Katie was put in the hot seat. And Jenn was forced to defend her relationship, again. One thing was for certain, Tamra and Shannon were not going to be friends in the near future.

What happened on Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18, Episode 19

The Real Housewives of Orange County reunion, Part 2, kept fans entertained. The tell-all picked up with Jenn questioning her friendship with Tamra. For two seasons, the women have been on shaky ground as Tamra has constantly come for Ryan. Once again, Emily brings up the fashion show faux pas to Heather. Fancy Pants continues to interrogate Katie. The cherry on top this week is that Alexis joined the ladies on the couch.

The episode picks up with Jenn once again being placed in the hot seat. As Katie tried to defend her friend, the women piled on. Heather tried to explain that most of them were coming from a place of concern, but the Yogi seemed unphased as she dug her head deeper into the sand when it came to the topic of Ryan. However, Tammy Sue did apologize for mispeaking about Ryan’s home being raided by the FBI. Jenn, who was almost in tears, noted, “These things have a real effect in people’s lives when you make these kinds of statements.” This segment was wrapped up pretty quickly because, let’s be honest, there was no drama.

Is Tamra a ‘historical friend?’

The tides quickly changed as Tamra was finally held to the fire. Jenn called out Heather for saying Tamra was a “historical friend.” The connotation is that the actress wouldn’t be friends with Tamra if it wasn’t for the show’s history. Jenn might have been on to something because Heather lit up like fireworks on the Fourth of July. “By the way, I do not talk like that,” Heather quipped and included a finger wag.

I loved Jenn’s passion as she doubled down on Tamra, sharing, “There is a common thread that no one is speaking of.” Immediately, viewers know what she is talking about. Tamra has a way of being a bit coarse and aggressive when it comes to anyone who questions her line of thinking. When asked if she feels she takes things low, Tamra noted that everyone does. But Shannon piped up to share, “I think you take it lower.” I guess Tamra never learned Michelle Obama’s quote, “When they go low, we go high.”

Someone needed to get Jenn a calculator on the Real Housewives of Orange County reunion

Jenn had a fleeting moment to relax, but it was gone in a blink of an eye. Production put together a montage of her spending, and it was not pretty. As a lawyer, Emily felt it wasn’t morally right to sign a contract to pay $12,000 in rent a month when she couldn’t afford it. I mean, the math adds up. Jenn shared that her ex was still living in the home at the time. But she opened up about being more in control of her finances. She told the cast she now knows when her car payment is due and how much is owed. This feels like a weird, humble brag coming from a 47-year-old. However, it seems like “Malibu Broke Barbie” is on her way to being a little more self-sufficient.

Alexis has been resurrected

Let’s get to the meat of this episode, shall we? Andy asked a pretty interesting opening question regarding how religious Alexis was when she first appeared in the series. Alexis once noted, “God was first. Our marriage was second. And our children were third.” Alexis revealed she still believes in those values, but the rest of the women seemed uncomfortable with her line of jargon. Honestly, I wanted to fast-forward this part but, for obvious reasons, couldn’t.

Before walking out onto the stage, Alexis claimed, “Honest to god, I don’t want to fight. I just want to speak my truth.” But the moment she stepped out onto the stage, all she could do was be Johnny J’s voice. When arguing about the blackmail videos verbatim, she repeated John as she told Shannon, “You have a strange relationship with the truth.” Come on, girl! Let’s come up with your own remarks!

The women don’t agree much, but everyone wants Alexis to stop being John’s mouthpiece.

The Real Housewives of Orange County continues on Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
