What Kody Brown’s New Ring Represents

A recent episode of Sister Wives showed Kody Brown at his cruelest after appearing to show off a new ring while over at his estranged wife, Meri Brown’s home. Instead of sporting the Claddagh ring, which was a representation of his four marriages, the father of 18 wore a thick silver ring with a golden horse in the middle. The piece of jewelry seemed less like an accessory and more like a dig to his first wife.

The gold horse emblem could stand for a lot of things. For example, Kody could be referring to himself as a stallion, which are often seen as strong figureheads. Even though Kody is none of those, he could be trying to show he is still very much the head of a household. The ring could also be a wedding ring to just Robyn Brown. The two have been living a very monogamous lifestyle for years now, and she could have possibly insisted on him switching rings, especially after he lost two wives.

A horse, as your spirit animal, often represents freedom above all else. The horse has often been considered majestic, emphasizing the spiritual powers of independence, freedom, nobleness, endurance, and triumph. The horse is often seen as a wild animal like, those on  Assateague Island. Since the horse has been domesticated, the animal has often been seen as an instrument of expansion and conquest. It could be that Kody is again trying to send a message to his family stating he holds the power. 

Kody probably thinks he is a prized stallion, as horse enthusiasts know the animals are used for breeding. Breeders pay good money to use a stud, and Kody could be hinting that he is back on the market, ready and willing to meet a new mare. With 18 children under his belt, it is hard to ignore the fact that Kody enjoyed his husband duties. Or the ring could be a tchotchke he got free for buying a new Ford Mustang since the TV personality does love a mid-life crisis car. 

Meri Is Hanging In There

Even though Sister Wives fans can see the writing on the wall, Meri still is holding out hope that Kody will start caring about her again one day. During the episode, Meri tried to broach the subject of moving her clothing business to her B&B in Utah.

Meri admitted to the TLC cameras and Kody that she didn’t want him to “think that I’m walking away.” However, Kody was unfazed by the announcement and almost seemed relieved that Meri would be five hours down the road. 

Kody Doesn’t Want To Lose Robyn’s Respect

Kody came across as cold as ice, while Meri let her emotions get the best of her. While Meri dabbed her eyes, Robyn tried her best to mediate, only for the supportive gesture to annoy Kody. The patriarch rarely gets upset with Robyn, but the caring move boiled Kody’s blood. The TLC star told cameras, “What I’m seeing here is Robyn being an advocate of me and Meri and our reconciliation…and they’re making me feel very uncomfortable.”

Kody went on to share that he has “One wife that I’ve got a great relationship with, and I’m afraid if I abandon these women, that she’ll lose respect for me.”

The Ring Means A Thing

Meri was quick to notice Kody’s new finger candy, and it was obvious that his choosing to wear it was a dig at his now ex-wife. She questioned his motive for flaunting the ring, noting it was probably meant to hurt her. Kody has never been the guy who walked away, but he has been the guy who push his wives so close to the edge that they chose to end the relationship. 

Sister Wives viewers have noticed how Kody has tried to push Meri away from him and the family for years. Instead of embracing Meri’s honesty, Kody continues to play the victim. Kody even compares his two marriages, saying, “And now, we’ve got this small thing going on that’s not unimportant, and it is beautiful, but it’s not big like this other one. Can I adjust?” Whatever the ring really means, one thing is for sure: the showing off of it was meant to hurt Meri. The two called it quits after 25 years of marriage.

Season 1: “You’re Such a F**king Liar, Camille.”

The first season started with a bang. Kyle Richards and Camille Grammer faced off during a cast trip to New York City. Camille was reportedly upset by a comment that Kyle made off-camera.

Kyle allegedly said that Camille was too boring to be part of the cast. But Camille’s famous husband at the time, Kelsey Grammer, made up for it. Viewers saw Kyle lose her cool when she denied making the comments. “You’re such a f**king liar, Camille,” Kyle said.

Season 2: “At Least I Don’t Do Crystal Meth in the Bathroom All Night Long, B**ch.”

Brandi Glanville cemented her place in Real Housewives history during this off-the-rails episode. During game night, Brandi was paired with Kyle and her sister, Kim Richards. Of course, Kim complained right away that she didn’t want Brandi on their team.

Brandi, who was on crutches, watched Kim go to the bathroom repeatedly to fix her makeup. Sometimes, Kyle went along with her. Often, Kim was alone.

When Kyle said that Brandi shouldn’t allow her son to pee on someone’s lawn, the mother bear came out. “At least I don’t do crystal meth in the bathroom all night long, b**ch,” Brandi said to Kim. The other ladies were shocked and furious at Brandi. But in a hilarious turn of events, Brandi and Kim later became besties—for a while.

Season 5: “Let’s Talk About the Husband.”

During Season 5, the cast trip to Amsterdam was like an extended dinner party from hell. Kim went after Lisa Rinna. Rinna had been talking about Kim’s sobriety behind her back.

Kim said, “Let’s talk about the husband” while Yolanda Foster was speaking. “Let’s not talk about what you don’t want out,” Kim added. Rinna went on the attack—literally. “You never go after my f**king husband,” Rinna screamed. Then she shattered a glass on the table after reaching for Kim.

So, Kyle did what all good sisters do. She fled the restaurant. Yikes!

Season 5: “Beast? How Dare You!”

Kim also pissed off Rinna’s bestie, Eileen Davidson, during the Amsterdam dinner. Eileen tried to calm Kim down. It didn’t go well.

Kyle’s sister told Eileen to “shut your f**king mouth.” Kim added that she had “enough of you, you beast!” Eileen summoned her soap opera acting experience to deliver her reply. “Beast? How dare you!” she exclaimed. It was glorious.

Season 7: “The Crown Is Heavy, Darlings. So Just Leave It Where It Belongs.”

Lisa Vanderpump’s Season 7 tagline said it all. At the time, she was the queen of RHOBH. And she wasn’t afraid to point out that her co-stars coveted her spot.

Season 9: “Goodbye Kyle!”

Season 9 of RHOBH was Lisa’s swan song. Kyle went to see her longtime friend at Villa Rosa. She wanted to discuss who leaked the “puppy gate” story about Dorit Kemsley. When Kyle accused Lisa of talking to Radar Online, and then refuting the story to TMZ, Lisa was appalled. And her gallant husband, Ken Todd, was enraged.

After Lisa swore on her children’s lives that she didn’t leak the story, Lisa and Ken told Kyle to leave their home. “Goodbye, Kyle!” Ken bellowed at her. A line that will live rent-free in our brains forever.

Season 10: “I Am F**king Denise Richards, Kyle.”

Actress Denise Richards only lasted two seasons on RHOBH. While her stay was brief, this ragamuffin made it memorable.

During a dispute with Kyle over whether Denise had glam before coming late to an event, Denise uttered her most famous line. In a confessional, she stated, “I am f**king Denise Richards, Kyle.” Then she burned her co-stars by noting that she had been on the cover of a ton of magazines. Easily one of the most iconic phrases from the Beverly Hills franchise.

Season 10: “Ooh, You’re So Angry.”

Rinna and Denise had been friends for years before Denise joined the show. Their friendship ended because Rinna believed that Denise and Brandi allegedly had an affair. Brandi told Kyle and Teddi Mellencamp about it.

Denise denied it. After looking at the text chain in Brandi’s phone, Rinna confronted her friend. Denise maintained that she only saw Brandi a few times. But Rinna didn’t believe it. When Rinna brought up Denise sending off cease and desist letters, Denise turned icy. She asked Rinna who told her that information. “Ooh, you’re so angry,” Rinna responded.

Denise dipped out of the show, and her friendship with Rinna. Do you blame her after that mean girl attack?

Season 12: “The Soap Actress in Lisa Never Leaves Her Body. It Would Take an Exorcism To Get the Soap Actress Out.”

During a wine tasting at her home, Rinna went after Sutton Stracke. A tipsy Rinna said she would “f**king cut [Sutton] down!” Rinna didn’t want anyone to mention her husband or her two daughters.

Now, Sutton wasn’t scared by Rinna’s antics. In her confessional, Sutton said, “The soap actress in Lisa never leaves her body. It would take an exorcism to get the soap actress out.”

All in all, this franchise has given viewers so many iconic sayings. These diamond-holders know how to deliver.

Southern Charm Season 9, Episode 5 Recap: Party Fowl

We left off with Austen Kroll not so coyly asking Shep Rose to define “Hooked up,” leaving Southern Charm fans no other choice but to assume the Charlotte native had kissed Taylor Ann Green after months of bombastic side eye.

Episode 5 showed the Charleston Playboy, attempting to brush all the little nasties under the rug – like a good Southern gentleman – and host a proper Southern dinner for his nearest and dearest.

Olivia Flowers finally learns the truth from Taylor about what happened with Austen, and naturally, the Trop Hop brewer gets boiled alive. Here’s everything that went down in Southern Charm Season 9, Episode 5: “Party Fowl.”

Shep, usually the protagonist in the series, has found a way to make literally every viewer empathize with his plight. Even though he and Taylor are no more, it is clear that the trust fund kid still has feelings for his ex, breathing out, “This is so confusing. Kissing turns into – we know what kissing is. Come on.” Austen is not doing himself any favors by using his Trump fingers to refocus Shep’s eye. All we can say is liar, liar, pants on fire! Shep emotionally asks, “Where’s the boundary? Wives with families? Is that where we draw the line?”

Even though Shep is having a breakdown, he is also having a breakthrough as he notes how he loves women, saying, “It gets me in trouble every time. I want f*cking this one, that one, but like, I know where the line is.” Viewers and Shep alike are asking one crucial question – how does a kiss end at kiss with this group? 

Detective Craig Conover, who is stealthy listening in the butler’s kitchen, deduces, “No one stops at kissing; there was physical contact, so they probably kissed and said, are we going to do this or not?” God, I love Craig. Meanwhile, Austen doubles down, saying, “Taylor and I did not hook up. I know it’s not good in any sort of way.” By God, he sounds like Bill Clinton; I did not have sexual relations with that woman.” Sure, Austen, we believe you.

Austen also claimed that at the time he was getting close to Taylor, he and Olivia were not on speaking terms. It seems JT Thomas was right all along. Austen finally breaks down, telling Shep, “It was in a moment, a time of like so much confusion for both of us.” Austen is literally the most selfish man; he doesn’t even think of anyone else’s feelings. According to Shep, Austen is a taker who always will put himself first. 

But somehow, Shep is still hoodwinked – telling Austen he doesn’t want to lose him as a friend. Umm, maybe I’m wrong here, but Austen has been a terrible friend and has a loooonnngg history of stealing Shep’s women. Evidently, whiskey fixes all. I can’t; I just can’t with these clowns.

After the Spanish Inquisition ended, word traveled fast back to the rest of the cast, with Craig spilling the tea to JT, who rightfully noted, “He lied to us.” JT is still harping on about the bro-code being breached. But it looks like Shep may have forgiven with a motive. As Craig points out, now the slate is technically clean between Taylor and her ex. Where is the moral line here, guys!? Venita Aspen sipped wine and almost spat it out on the Charles’ teal tail when Madison LeCroy relayed the message. 

Olivia quickly acknowledged to Leva Bonaparte that there was a significant disconnect. In an eerie foreshadowing moment, Olivia shares she is making an active decision to believe Taylor, unaware that everyone already knows Austen revealed what happened.

The party started out cheery enough but soon took a tumble, proving Shep isn’t the greatest of hosts. Shep is trying his best to celebrate with people who have wronged him but that just isn’t a healthy move. We should have known it was going to be an emotional night when Shep cried over the reunion with Little Craig and Taylor so it wasn’t surprising to see him sit down with Taylor who again clarified, “It was a kiss not a hookup, there is a difference.”

Sadly the causality of the night was Olivia. By ratting Taylor out Austen feels liberated while leaving Taylor feeling betrayed. The news of the kiss blindsided Olivia as it felt like Taylor was kicking her friend while she was already down. A drunken kiss or not – this right here doesn’t feel good. At least Austen kept to his traditional ways of clucking about like a chicken with his head cut off denying any responsibility. Again, I question, how do women find this cretin attractive?

Southern Charm Season 9 airs Thursday at 9/8c on Bravo.

Love Is Blind Season 5 Finale Recap, Episode 10: Big, Big Love

The last episode of Love Is Blind ended with a cliffhanger. Lydia and Milton had gotten into a fight over her being more emotional about Uche than Milton would have liked. Lydia had wondered if they were good. We never got the answer, just like it wasn’t certain if Stacy really forgave Izzy for failing to disclose he didn’t have any credit cards. How did she go several weeks not noticing the guy only paid in cash?

Everyone must have been good, at least for now, because they skipped right to their wedding days. Nick and Vanessa Lachey wondered if the couples would say I do to the person they fell in love with, sight unseen. Or, would they walk away forever to find someone who has a credit score over 720? Let’s find out!

Stacy wanted a man with refined taste

It was finally Stacy and Izzy’s wedding day. Stacy rolled up in a white Rolls Royce and made a mental note that her future husband would have a fancy car and driver for her at all times. She got into glam and exclaimed how hot Izzy was. Stacy told her family she seemed sure she was going to marry him. Even though he’d never had Peruvian food, a passport, and his favorite restaurant was Chipotle. Her family said that was a guy thing and he seemed sweet. But Stacy seemed put off by it all. 

Izzy got dropped off at the bus stop and showed up with several Subway five dollar footlongs to feed his groomsmen. He told them he was wreck about his credit score hurting his relationship with Stacy. To him, love had no price tag. Has he met his fiancée? Izzy wrote Stacy a note and had his friend pass it over to her. Stacy said this was the first time he wrote her a note unprompted. Her mom wondered if Izzy had told her everything, and warned her not to ignore any red flags. But Stacy liked the look of herself in her wedding dress and didn’t seem to pay attention to her mom’s warning.

Izzy nervously waited at the alter as Stacy walked down the aisle to him. He said that she was tough to crack, but a tender person once the walls were broken down. Stacy said she liked how he made her think with her heart and be a better person. Then they were asked if they would say I do. Izzy said, “I do,” and Stacy paused and said, “Not today, Izzy!” She needed more time and would have been doing him a disservice if she had said yes. Doh! 

Stacy walked off leaving Izzy at the alter. He graciously thanked everyone for coming and got a round of applause as he walked out. He told his mom he had given all he could. She shared it was better to be hurt now rather than later. Stacy bluntly told her mom she had no regrets. Bad credit, paper plates, and no private jet was a no go, sorry not sorry. Izzy then ran into Stacy on their way out. She told him she did love him and was happy the pressure was gone. Izzy said he would always wonder with her when it would be the right time. And that would be when his bank account had seven figures in it. Izzy told her he deserved to have a love like in the movie Titanic. Then he walked off into the sunset to find the Rose to his Jack.

Lydia arrived wearing the word “Bride” plastered all over her clothes and on a placard hanging around her neck. I think she was excited to get married. She told her family she wasn’t nervous and had zero doubts. They wondered if Milton would be partying all the time because he was 24. Lydia reassured everyone that wasn’t the case, and they had great communication. She just didn’t want Milton to judge how she handled Voldemort, aka he who must not be named, Uche. 

Milton needed a raise because he worked until two in the morning the night before his wedding day. His friends wondered how he felt. He paused and said it was all Gucci, baby. Milton brought up his worries about Lydia being emotional, and his friends reassured him she would be different in 10 to 15 years. Then Milton’s dad warned him the honeymoon phase ended after the Earth made two orbits around the sun. Milton pondered if he needed to be as nervous as everyone else was for him. 

All data points lead to true love

The couple weren’t nervous as they stood at the alter. Lydia said she fell in love with him because he chose her from the start. Milton shared he never had a doubt about Lydia, and she inspired him to be more. His sister smiled, so maybe she finally approved of their relationship. Lydia quickly said I do. Milton paused and finally agreed. Lydia’s mom looked like she was about to have a heart attack. A bit too eager, Milton went in for a kiss. The pastor joked it wasn’t time for that yet! Milton was definitely the star of the season. 

The happily married couple then left the venue to celebrate. They argued over how to pop champs, and Milton posed in Lydia’s vail. He shared all data points led to the right decision. Lydia countered they were imperfectly perfect for each other. Milton didn’t understand what she meant, but the math was definitely mathing for these two.

The episode ended with a quick update on the rest of the cast. Taylor wondered if she should have accepted Jared “JP’s” awkwardness and name calling, and tried to live with him. It would have equaled more TV time after all. JP noted he’d try not to be as awkward in his next relationship. Uche said he should have created a more safe environment for Aaliyah. Not judging her would have been a start. Aaliyah shared this experience challenged her in ways she’d never been challenged before. 

Johnie learned she’s not a perfect person who made the best decisions. However, she noted that she is capable of having a healthy relationship. And that would be with Chris. Chris summarized that love is truly blind. For him, the emotional connection brought out the physical one. He then advised everyone to follow their heart. And that was a wrap for Season 5!
