Dancing With The Stars Week 10 Finale Recap: Which Couple Is The Season 31 Mirrorball Champion?

Last week during the Dancing with the Stars semi-finals, two more couples waltzed out of the ballroom. Trevor Donovan and his partner, Emma Slater, were sent home, along with actor Daniel Durant and Britt Stewart. I did predict the four couples that made it to the DWTS finale. Just saying!

The remaining competitors will dance both a redemption routine, with the input of one of the judges, and a freestyle. This finale is the tightest race in a long time. So, get your glitter and confetti cannon ready. Let’s go!

The First Four Eliminated Couples Return

Jason Lewis and pro Peta Murgatroyd hit the floor with Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice and partner Pasha Pashkov. They were joined by Cheryl Ladd and pro Louis Van Amstel and Sam Champion and Cheryl Burke.

Judge Derek Hough was scheduled to dance with his fiancée Hayley Erbert tonight, but she was injured and can’t dance. But she is in the audience.

Shangela and Gleb Savchenko

RuPaul’s Drag Race star Shangela and partner Gleb Savchenko found themselves in the bottom three last week. This couple is paired with judge Bruno Tonioli. Bruno wants to see Shangela address issues with her frame in her Redemption Quickstep. Shangela and Gleb danced to Rochelle Diamante’s “Queen Bee.”

Bruno pointed out that Shangela went on the wrong foot. Judge Len Goodman called the routine “fun and full of energy.” The couple scored 36/40.

Wayne Brady and Witney Carson

Comedian Wayne Brady and pro Witney Carson are working with Len. He wants to see a good frame in the couple’s Redemption Quickstep. This is a bittersweet moment with Len retiring.

Witney and Wayne danced to Jackie Wilson’s “(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher.” Len said that the routine needed “a little bit more flow.” Derek called out an error in Wayne’s footwork. They received 36/40 from the judges.

Cheryl Burke is Departing

Cheryl, who has been a pro for 17 years, is leaving DWTS. She was the first woman to bring home the mirrorball trophy. Iconic! Cheryl danced a routine with her two favorite pros, Louis and Pasha, to the Barry Manilow song “Copacabana.” I’m sad that Cheryl is leaving.

More Couples Return to Dance

Joseph Baena and pro Daniella Karagach hit the floor once again with Jessie James Decker and partner Alan Bersten. Pro Brandon Armstrong and American Idol alum Jordin Sparks completed the group.

Charli D’Amelio and Mark Ballas

TikTok star Charli D’Amelio and her partner, Mark Ballas, are paired with judge Carrie Ann Inaba. Carrie Ann chose a Redemption Jive for the couple. The judge would like to see more emotion from Charli.

The duo danced to “Grown” by Little Mix. Charli ended the dance perched on the judge’s table. Carrie Ann said that Charli “danced for you guys with her heart.” Bruno dubbed Charli, “The Queen of Jive.” The duo scored 40/40.

Selma Blair Dances with Sasha Farber Once Last Time

It was an emotional moment when actress Selma Blair and her partner Sasha Farber left the competition because of Selma’s health issues. The couple danced a gorgeous contemporary piece to “No Air” performed by Jordin Sparks.

Gabby Windey and Val Chmerkovskiy

The Bachelorette star Gabby Windey and Val Chmerkovskiy are working with Derek. Last week, Gabby opened up about her recent split from her fiancé, Erich Schwer. Derek wants to see Gabby grounded more to the floor in their Redemption Cha Cha.

The duo danced to Pete Rodriguez’s “I Like It (Like That.)” Derek said that Gabby “redeemed that cha cha.” Len loved their chemistry and technique. They received a score of 40/40.

Four More Eliminated Couples Dance Again

Heidi D’Amelio and Artem Chigvintsev and Jersey Shore star Vinny Guadagnino and pro Koko Iwasaki returned to the ballroom. They were joined by Trevor and Emma and Daniel and his partner, Britt.

Len Reflects on His Favorite Moments

Len was tapped to judge DWTS three days before the show premiered. He remarked, “All good things have to come to an end. For me, it was such a privilege being a part of Dancing with the Stars.” Len was thrilled to do the twist with Chubby Checker and to watch Buzz Aldrin and Sugar Ray Leonard dance on the show. Host Alfonso Ribeiro presented Len with his own mirrorball trophy. Len was ecstatic! I am so bummed out to see him leave.

Later on, former cast members thanked Len and recalled their favorite memories in a video package. The judges also weighed in.

The Freestyle Round

Next up is the most anticipated dance of the season. Viewers will see the contestants exhibit their creativity and see how much they have grown as a dancer. So, whose freestyle is going to be epic? Let’s find out!

Wayne and Witney

The couple danced their freestyle to “Get Up /24K Magic” by Ciara ft. Chamillionaire/Bruno Mars. Their routine was funky and entertaining to the max. Derek called it “a perfect freestyle.”
Carrie Ann called it “ridiculous” and said that Wayne was holding out on them. The couple scored 40/40.

Charli and Mark

The duo performed their freestyle to Pinar Toprak’s “Us Again.” The routine is about the duo falling back in love with dance. There were no incredibly elaborate sets or other dancers in the piece.
Derek was moved to tears. He called it “powerful” and praised the duo’s connection. Bruno called it “a celebration of dance.” They scored 40/40.

Gabby and Val

Gabby and Val danced their freestyle to “Cell Block Tango” from Chicago. Gabby turned in a sexy performance with Val and the male pros. Bruno called Gabby “guilty of being lethally hot.” Carrie Ann said that Gabby was “impressive.” Val gave a shout out to his wife, DWTS pro Jenna Johnson, who choreographed the routine. The duo scored 40/40.

The DWTS LIVE 2023 Tour Dancers Hit the Ballroom

The group danced to the song “100% Pure Love” by Crystal Waters. Gabby will be appearing at all the tour stops. Charli, Heidi, Vinny, and Daniel will be performing in select cities.

Shangela and Gleb

This duo performed their freestyle to “Survivor/Call Me Mother” by Destiny’s Child/ RuPaul. Shangela brought a high-energy drag performance to the ballroom, including crispy, dancing chicken legs. Gleb was in drag, too. Len forgot to vote because he “was absolutely mesmerized.” Bruno said he felt “like he won the lottery.” Shangela and Gleb scored 40/40.

The Leaderboard

Gabby and Val and Charli and Mark are tied at the top of the leaderboard with 80 points. Wayne and Witney and Shangela and Gleb are tied for third place at 76 points.

The Elimination

The couple in fourth place is Shangela and Gleb. Wayne and Witney are in third place.

Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Hadid dealt with a debilitating diagnosis of Lyme disease during her time on the show. I’m sure her medical struggles weren’t helped by co-star Lisa Rinna alleging that instead of Lyme disease, Yolanda was suffering from Munchhausen syndrome. Oof.

Not surprisingly, Yolanda sympathized with Friend of the Housewives Kathy Hilton’s plight on RHOBH. Namely, Rinna tried to take Kathy down with her claims that Kathy had “a psychotic break” while the two ladies were alone.

“Well, the first season I went on, I was diagnosed with neurological Lyme disease and a lot of narratives that were created by the women,” Yolanda stated. “But those things were very hurtful. I was fighting for my life.” In 2017, Yolanda released her memoir, Believe Me: My Battle with the Invisible Disability of Lyme Disease.

In 2020, Yolanda became a grandmother. Her supermodel daughter, Gigi Hadid, gave birth to her daughter with baby daddy Zayn Malik. Gigi shared a black and white photo on Instagram holding her daughter’s tiny hand. “Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she’s already changed our world. So in love,” the new mom wrote. It hasn’t been smooth sailing for Yolanda and Zayn.

According to Page Six, Yolanda told Entertainment Tonight that she shares a special connection with her granddaughter, Khai. Khai shares many traits that remind her of her late mother, Ans van den Herik.

“I feel like my mom came back in this little miniature, incredible little human being,” Yolanda explained. “She does things and I’m like, ‘Oh my god, that’s my mom.’” In October 2019, Yolanda’s mother passed away at age 78, so she never had the chance to meet Khai.

Yolanda stated that her granddaughter “loves everything.” She continued, “Nature, horses, the little ants, she’s careful with everything. She’s just the joy of my life and actually the whole family.”

Yolanda relished becoming an “Oma,” which was “the most incredible time of life.” “Oma” is the Dutch word for grandmother. The RHOBH alum stated, “And, like, yes, in America, I think grandma has a little bit of an old people connotation to it. But, you know, in Holland the oma thing, it’s fresh, it’s great.”

She added, “I’m 58, I think, ‘Thank God we had this baby now, she’s our greatest blessing.’ And I’m just so joyful every day if I get to see her. It’s incredible.”

Yolanda returned to Instagram in July of 2022 after a nine-month break to share that she had suffered a Lyme disease relapse. She took a social media break following to process the loss of her beloved mother.

“After the loss of my mother I really struggled with depression followed by a lyme relapse…. the emotional stress and grief strongly effected my immune system,” Yolanda posted on Instagram. “My phone addiction didn’t help either, it started to take so much time away from being present in my life ,” she added.

Yolanda continued, “Learning to focus on myself, my health journey, and being present in this moment of my life. Time has slowed down and feels a lot calmer, more time to just sit and actually read a book, time to reconnect with people, be creative and most importantly time with my family.”

Andy Cohen Reacts To Bethenny Frankel's New Real Housewives Rewatch Podcast

Let’s be real: There are tons of podcasts covering The Real Housewives, some better than others. And there’s definitely no shortage of Housewives-hosted podcasts, either. So, it probably came as a surprise to discover that Bethenny Frankel, of all people, would be entering this already saturated market with her Housewives rewatch podcast, ReWives. Since leaving The Real Housewives of New York City, Bethenny has dissed the show time and time again, even claiming that appearing on it made her lose credibility as an entrepreneur and businessperson. Still, Bethenny plans on diving into all things Housewives with her new show.

Reactions to the podcast have been pouring in, and they’re mixed. But, finally, the head of the Housewives himself, Andy Cohen, weighed in on what he really thinks about Bethenny taking on the Housewives in her new show. Page Six caught up with him at a charity event, and it sounds like he was just as puzzled as the rest of us but not totally against the idea because publicity is publicity.

“I was a little surprised,” Andy confessed to the outlet, “but again I was like, ‘Oh, this is good, good for you.’ The more Housewives podcasts the better.”

You’d think that Bethenny would be too busy slamming the Kardashians on Instagram or fighting with TikTok to take on a new project like this. However, in the premiere episode, she brought on actress Elisabeth Moss to chat through RHONY’s infamous Scary Island episode. For future episodes, Bethenny promises to “rehash, revisit and rewatch the most iconic episodes from all of your favorite cities.”

Although Andy is trying to be supportive of ReWives, Bethenny’s former RHONY costars have come out swinging against it. In an interview, Luann de Lesseps called it “sad and pathetic,” and Carole Radziwill really let her former friend have it on Twitter.

“Oh lordy…how original. But she did build her brand by trashing & mocking women specifically the HWs & Bethenny always returns to what she does best,” Carole tweeted. “I mean right out the gate she trash talks the other HW podcasts. Lol. Good luck to her. Somethings will never change.”

News of Bethenny’s podcast comes amid a big time in the world of The Real Housewives of New York City. Ramona Singer just announced that she won’t return for RHONY Legacy, or “The Loser Legacy,” as she once called it. Plus, the brand-new season 14 cast is currently filming. So, no matter how you feel about Bethenny’s little podcast, overall, it’s an excellent time to be a RHONY fan.

James Kennedy Says Raquel Leviss Made Out With Peter Madigral In Front Of Him While He Was Performing A DJ Set

Season 10 of Vanderpump Rules will be all that and more! From left and right, every angle, this cast’s drama is the perfect escape. Clearly, emotions are at an all-time high from James Kennedy now that he and Raquel Leviss are done, and she’s been getting super cozy with a lot of his besties.

We all remember the rumors about Raquel and Tom Schwartz potentially hooking up while at Coachella. Since then, Tom has denied those rumors. After that, more and more came out about Tom and Raquel turning up at Scheana Shay’s wedding in Mexico. All of this was so intense that it stopped Katie Maloney from attending.

Now, James is addressing how Tom and Raquel’s hookup impacted their group’s dynamic.

“It was weird. But honestly, I’m living my life, and everyone gets to live theirs,” he told Us Weekly at BravoCon. “I mean, Raquel was like flirting with Peter [Madigral]. Like she had her tongue down Peter’s throat during my See You Next Tuesday party [during[ the first week [of filming].” Peter hasn’t been shy talking about his former fling with his Pump Rules co-star.

As James continued, he definitely made it clear he was not thrilled about his ex being connected with his friends. “Now, it’s Schwarz. I don’t know. She is homey-hopping a little bit.”

OMG. I don’t know how Raquel is reacting to that statement, but I can’t imagine it’s a good one. James knows how to make good TV and stir up the pot. Especially in the Bravo world, all of the behind-the-scenes drama plays a part in how the cast interacts with each other while the show airs and at the reunion.

We’ll have to be a little more patient before we get an official announcement on the newest season. In the meantime, we know a little about what to expect. James teased that he and his co-stars definitely have some rough patches they’ll have to cover up this season.

“Oh, year. We’ll see how it unfolds on the season. But now, it is real friendships. It’s real emotions. So that’s why it gets so deep.”

Dancing With The Stars Week 9 Semi-Finals Recap: Which Couples Will Compete In The Season 31 Finale?

Last week, two couples were cut from the Dancing with the Stars competition. Heidi D’Amelio and her partner Artem Chigvintsev were sent home, along with fan favorite, Jersey Shore star Vinny Guadagnino, and pro Koko Iwasaki.

Here we are at the DWTS semi-finals! Now each couple will perform a ballroom dance and a Latin dance that they haven’t performed yet. Then, two more couples will exit the ballroom ahead of the finale next week. Let’s go!

Wayne Brady and Witney Carson

Comedian, actor, and host Wayne Brady and his partner Witney Carson danced a fiery Paso Doble to “Beggin’” by Måneskin. Wayne incorporated an emotional story from his marriage into the routine. Judge Len Goodman mentioned a stumble near the end. Derek Hough also called out Wayne’s shoulders and hips. Bruno Tonioli called it “a fantastic performance.”

And Witney is expecting her second baby! Congrats, Witney! The duo scored 36/40.

Daniel Durant and Britt Stewart

Actor Daniel Durant, who starred in CODA, performed a Viennese Waltz with Britt Stewart to Jack Garratt’s “Surprise Yourself.” Derek praised Daniel’s lines and his arms. Bruno dubbed Daniel “Prince Charming” because so many have fallen in love with him. Len called the dance “skippy” at times. The couple received 35/40 from the judges.

Shangela and Gleb Savchenko

RuPaul’s Drag Race star Shangela and partner Gleb Savchenko danced a feisty Paso Doble to “The Edge of Glory” by Lady Gaga. I love the section with Shangela dancing with the fan alone in the spotlight. Bruno loved the dance but pointed out that Shangela missed a pass. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba called it “gorgeous.” Len enjoyed the traditional mix of steps. The duo scored 36/40.

Charli D’Amelio and Mark Ballas

TikTok star Charli D’Amelio and partner Mark Ballas danced an elegant Viennese Waltz to Joji’s “Glimpse of Us.” Carrie Ann called it “perfection on top of perfection.” She praised the couple for showing emotion. Len said it “took his breath away.” Derek praised Charli as “the first celebrity to look like a ballroom dancer.” I predict some great scores! The judges gave Charli and Mark 40/40.

Trevor Donovan and Emma Slater

Actor Trevor Donovan and Emma Slater were in the bottom three couples last week. They performed a cha-cha to “Satisfied” by Galantis ft. MAX. Trevor made Bruno’s dream come true by taking off his shirt and tossing it to Bruno.

Derek and Len both called out Trevor’s footwork. Carrie Ann said the routine was “strong and clean.” The duo received a 32/40 from the judges.

Gabby Windey and Val Chmerkovskiy

The Bachelorette star Gabby Windey and pro Val Chmerkovskiy danced a breathtaking waltz to Des’ree’s “I’m Kissing You.” Gabby opened up about her breakup with fiancé Erich Schwer in the package. She explained what a strong relationship her father and stepmom have and wanted to express that in their routine.

Derek called the performance “flawless.” Bruno praised the difficulty of the routine and change of pace. Carrie Ann felt that it was a “very human and wonderfully danced waltz.” Val and Gabby earned 40/40.

Len’s Big Announcement

Len announced that this is his last season judging on DWTS. What?! Len would like to spend more time with his family in Britain. All the judges gave him tearful hugs. He received a standing ovation from the ballroom.

And now, it is time for the second round of dances.

Wayne and Witney

The duo danced an emotional Viennese Waltz to James Brown’s “It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World.” He dedicated it to his grandmother, who passed away from Alzheimer’s Disease. Wayne performed the song. Derek thought Wayne’s frame got a bit small sometimes. Carrie Ann said that Wayne’s grandma would be proud. The duo received 37/40.

Daniel and Britt

Daniel and Britt performed a fun samba routine to “Light It Up (Remix)” by Major Lazer ft. Nyla & Fuse ODG. Derek was amazed by Daniel’s technique. Carrie Ann praised Daniel’s “swagger.” Daniel and Britt scored 34/40.

Shangela and Gleb

Shangela and Gleb danced a romantic Viennese Waltz to Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing.” Carrie Ann literally bowed down to Shangela. Len praised the fluidity of the dance but said Shangela’s head position was off sometimes. The duo earned 37/40.

Charli and Mark

Mark and Charli performed a dramatic Paso Doble to “Espana Cani” by Pascual Marquina. Mark played guitar during Charli’s solo. Carrie Ann came out and hugged both Charli and Mark. She called the performance “mind-blowing.” Len called it “fantastic.” The judges awarded the couple 40/40.

Trevor and Emma

This couple danced a lovely Viennese Waltz to Judah Kelly’s “Count on Me.” Trevor dedicated the dance to Emma. Len liked the amount of time in hold but called it “a bit skippy.” Derek praised Emma and Trevor’s partnership and their chemistry. The duo earned 33/40.

Gabby and Val

This duo performed a fiery Paso Doble to Brian Setzer’s “Malagueña.” Derek loved “the power and attack.” Carrie Ann praised Gabby’s “ferocity and intensity.” Gabby and Val received 40/40.

The Judges’ Leaderboard

Trevor and Emma are in sixth place. Daniel and Britt are in fifth place. Charli and Mark and Gabby and Val are tied for first place.

The Double Elimination

The couple with the lowest combination of viewer votes and judges’ scores will be eliminated immediately. The bottom three couples are Shangela and Gleb, Trevor and Emma, and Daniel and Britt. Trevor and Emma are eliminated.

The judges unanimously decide to save Shangela and Gleb. Daniel and Britt are sent home just shy of the DWTS finale.

Lala Kent is slamming her ex, Randall Emmett after he tells her to “move on” following their split. Fans will remember Lala after she joined the Vanderpump Rules cast during season 4. Her quick shade and lethal attitude got her into some mess with some of her cast members, but I’ve always loved how real she keeps it. Absolutely perfect for an ensemble show like this.

A rep from Randall told Us Weekly, “Randall is happy Lala is having other relationships. He hopes this will help her move on with her life and find peace.” LaLa and Randall split a while ago now, things were pretty dark between them. Lala slammed Randall, saying she couldn’t “wait for sex to be over” and so much more. Just 5 months after giving birth, the Pump Rules star removed Randall from her Instagram profile.

Lala finally responded to Randall through Us Weekly while at BravoCon and said, “Side note: I’ll move on with my life when I know my daughter and her future are safe.” She was on the shade assassin panel next to Kenya Moore and Margaret Josephs for a reason. She doesn’t hold back.

Let’s be very clear though. Randall was upset because Lala was talking freely in the press about her relationship status. She told Jeff Lewis on his SiriuxXM radio show that she “might be in love with someone.”

We’ve hung out like, literally, that was the third time. We had a lot of fun,” she explained. “I love his brain. He’s very smart. His face doesn’t match what comes out of his mouth. He’s a unicorn.”

If you’re Team Lala here and hoping to see more of her dating life featured on the show, you may have to wish for something new. Lala confirmed that viewers “won’t see me, like, dating” when season 10 of the series airs on Bravo likely in the new year. But don’t lose hope just yet… she hinted that her fans will likely see “the first boy I slept with since my last relationship.”

Hang on tight, y’all — this one is something different. Kim Kardashian is speaking out about her sexual escapades with her ex-boyfriend, Pete Davidson. It’s no secret that The Kardashians have been very vocal in the past about their past sexual experiences. Their transparency and their openness are some of the many things that makes me love them.

On a recent episode of their Hulu show, the former Keeping Up With The Kardashians star went into detail about one of her most… interesting sexual experiences with Pete.

“Pete and I were staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel last weekend, and we were sitting in front of the fireplace just talking for hours,” she said. “And I was like, ‘My grandmother told me that you really live life when you have had sex in front of the fireplace.’ So we had sex in front of the fireplace in honor of you.”

Very, very interesting, Kimmy! In fact, she probably was thinking the same thing. “How creepy to think about your grandma before you have sex,” Kim said in the episode.

Kim started dating Pete after an episode of Saturday Night Live in October of 2021. This was Kim’s first public relationship following her split from Kanye West. After doing a little reflecting on her divorce from Kanye, she gave a deep statement.

“For so long, I did what made other people happy. And I think in the last two years I decided, I’m going to make myself happy,” she said. “And that feels really good. And even if that created changes and caused my divorce, I think it’s important to be honest with yourself about what really makes you happy. I’ve chosen myself. I think it’s okay to choose you.”

Yes, Kim! I’m loving that and am really choosing to live by that mantra. Kim and Ye’s divorce has been highly publicized. Recently, Kanye has been dropped by all of his sponsors, managers, agents, and companies, like Adidas, which manufactures his “Yeezy” brand, because of his antisemitic and racist remarks. Although very disturbing, I hope Kanye seeks the help and healing he feels he needs.
