Below Deck Mediterranean Star Hannah Ferrier Would Rather Work With Mila Kolomeitseva Again Over Lara Flumiani

Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier doesn’t surprise Below Deck Mediterranean viewers anymore.  She either complains about her interior crew not having enough experience or having too much experience.  If the former is the issue, she will have more work training them.  If she has a very competent team member, she will feel insecure about the stew calling out her unenthusiastic management style.

Hannah had the unusual fortune of working with Aesha Scott and Anastasia Surmava last season.  They all worked well together and became friends, so there was no drama in the interior.  The premiere showed viewers that this would not be case for Season 5 as Hannah and Second Stew Lara Flumiana immediately butted heads.

The season trailer indicates that the situation will not get better between these ladies.  And if you think it doesn’t get so bad, consider that Hannah told Entertainment Tonight that she would rather work with the homophobic, incompetent Chef Mila Kolomeitseva again over Lara.

“Lara is, yeah, she’s just, she’s in a league of her own that one,” Hannah said, “I thought I had seen bad, and then I saw Lara.”

Editing footage compared Lara with Bugsy Drake from Season 2, but Hannah says dealing with Lara was far more challenging.  She said, “It was definitely a very trying start to the season, probably the most difficult start to the season I’ve had in all of my Below Deck days.”

Lara and Hannah come to near blows in one scene.  Lara is also shown mouthing off to her Chief Stew at one point.  She said, “the more you piss me off the less I will do. Get your s**t together and be nice.”

Lara had some nerve saying that in front of Captain Sandy Yawn.  Sandy is no fan of Hannah, but stepped in to defend her chief stew.  “Wow,” Sandy said after viewing the footage, “I was like, holy crap.  I had no idea it was practically a fist fight in the galley.  I didn’t know that.  Hannah doesn’t tell me these things.  I think if Hannah would come to me more often, I could help her navigate this.”

Captain Sandy claimed that she is always ready to help her managing team if they are having issues.  “I always say to my crew, if you can’t work it out downstairs and you bring it to me,” Sandy said, “someone usually gets fired.  Who do you think I would’ve fired in that case?

Sandy said had she known the extend of the issue, she would have “immediately terminated Lara.”

Interestingly enough, and likely due to a separate issue, Captain Sandy is seen in the season trailer telling Hannah she wants to fire her too.  Will Season 5 be Hannah’s last?

Kristen Doute Let Ariana Madix & Brittany Cartwright Read What She Wrote About Tom Sandoval & Jax Taylor In Her New Book Before Publishing

 

If there is anyone who has consistently kept the drama going on Vanderpump Rules, it’s Kristen Doute. Her drama this season with Stassi Schroeder and Katie Maloney was pretty impressive. And Kristen has kept the momentum going with the release of her new book, He’s Making You Crazy. Fingers crossed her chapter with Brian Carter has officially closed.

I’m sure that Kristen not only has a lot of tea to spill about Carter in her book, but about former flames Tom Sandoval and Jax Taylor as well. Who could forget one of the most dramatic moments in Pump Rules history when Kristen finally admitted she cheated on Tom with his best friend Jax. But what else does Kristen dish about the two? And most importantly, what would their significant others, Ariana Madix and Brittany Cartwright think?

In an interview with US Weekly, Kristen dished she gave Ariana and Brittany a heads up about what she wrote about Tom and Jax before her book got published. She must have learned her lesson about keeping secrets after Stassi gave her one of the most epic bitch slaps on TV for sleeping with Jax.  

Kristen said, “I didn’t ask permission from anyone because essentially they’re my stories and I gave myself that right to write how I felt. But I did reach out to both Brittany and Ariana and just kind of gave them a heads up that there were going to be some things about, you know, Brittany’s husband and Ariana, her long term boyfriend.”

She added, “I even let Ariana read a little bit of it in regarding the chapter that’s about Tom and Ariana.” Regarding Brittany and Ariana’s reactions, Kristen said, “They were both like, you know, ‘Do you girl.’” That’s what they say for now…

Interestingly, Kristen chose not name names for the men she wrote about in her book. She noted, “I don’t think anyone is innocent in this book. But it would be so much grander for the reader to read if it was just left as a simple key or like a pseudonym as we use often because I want women to be reading the story and not about the who.” How very Sex in the City of her! I wonder who her Mr.Big will be?

Kristen had quite a bit to say about the number one guy in the group. And by that I mean Tom. She wrote, “We would get ready together at his vanity, and when he said ‘you’re beautiful’ I wondered if he was talking to me or to himself. His flat iron, oh, his f—king flat iron. It was his most prized possession. Would he ever look at me the way he looked at it?” At least Ariana now knows how she can tell if Tom loves her or not.

Kristen also wrote about her frustration with their Katie and Tom Schwartz type love life. She wrote, “One night as he sat on our couch playing online poker for the eighth day in a row I put my foot down….I got on my knees and just went for it…And he pushed me away like a leper…I was twenty-six, hot, skinny, and drop-dead gorgeous. He would rather get two-pair, aces high than a BJ from his model girlfriend.”

Well, Kristen definitely did not have that problem with Jax! She wrote about Jax, “I know we were both drunk, but also that we made a mutual, consensual decision. I’m still not sure how it could have happened, but it did. I slept with my boyfriend’s best friend, who not too long before this used to date my former best friend.”

Kristen added, “Looking back, I just wanted attention and affection, and it didn’t matter anymore from whom, or from where. I’d barely hugged my boyfriend, let alone had sex with him, in months. I was longing to feel desired, to know that I was still worth something.” She noted, “Years later this is still held against me, my Scarlet Letter, while the world has allowed him to let it go.” Now it makes a bit more sense why Kristen said this chapter was the hardest to write.

Ramona Singer Says Some Real Housewives Of New York “Resent” Luann de Lesseps’ Cabaret Success; Predicts It Could Go “International”

Money may not be able to buy you class, but life is most certainly a cabaret. At least it is for Luann de Lesseps on The Real Housewives of New York City.

For the past three seasons, we’ve watched the Countess shove her cabaret show down our throats. Now, in a new interview, her RHONY cast mate Ramona Singer is opening up about what she and the other ‘Wives really think of Luann‘s Jovani-filled cabaret dreams.

“I think some of the women, I’m not gonna name names, they resent the fact she has a cabaret show,” Ramona dished to People Now from quarantine. However, the Singer Stinger was quick to insist that she would never resent her frenemy’s successful act.

“I mean, I’ve always been the type woman, I applaud my girlfriends,” Ramotional said. “They can, you know, have a better business than me, a better figure than me, a better anything than me and I’m not jealous. It’s like, ‘Wow, good for you!'”

Now, despite her other monstrous flaws (of which there are many), this statement does ring true of the RHONY OG. Hear me out: She has so many close girlfriends that her annual birthday luncheon is one of the hottest tickets on the Upper East Side. Carole Radziwill has revealed more than once since her exit from the show that she’s still in touch with Ramona, whom she’s praised for being a good, real-life friend. And never forget that Ramona was, of course, the one Housewife to epically call Bethenny Frankel out for not supporting other women, all while poor Koko sat dangerously in the middle of a crosswalk.

However, going back to Luann, Ramona really does sound genuinely supportive of her quest for cabaret world domination. “you know what? I’m really proud of Luann; she loves doing the show, I think she’s really good at it,” Ramona continued. “I mean my goodness, Live Nation picked her up — Live Nation’s the number one…premier concert person in the United States. So for them to approach her and say, ‘Hey, we want to take you, you know, nationally on a tour…”

In fact, Ramona is so supportive that she even offered up a rather lofty prediction for #CountessAndFriends. There’s only one thing to say to the possibility of Luann on a cabaret world tour, and that’s “Ya habibi, baby!”

NeNe Leakes Claims Bond With Gregg Leakes Is “Unbreakable;” Jokes That They “Both Got Side Pieces”

Real Housewives of Atlanta fans have watched NeNe Leakes drag all of her co-stars this season. NeNe had a lot to say about cast member Kenya Moore’s marriage and split from husband Marc Daly. But I’m not sure that NeNe should be doling out marital advice. RHOA fans know that NeNe and her husband, Gregg Leakes, divorced in 2011, only to remarry in 2013. But Gregg’s diagnosis of colon cancer in 2018 strained the couple’s marriage as NeNe stepped into the role of caregiver.

But it looks like karma is returning to bite NeNe. Maybe it is the same karma that NeNe invoked when she wondered if her husband Gregg developed cancer because he cheated on her. Damn, NeNe! That was harsh.

During the summer of 2019, NeNe also accused Gregg of allegedly having conversations with one of her employees without her knowledge. The RHOA couple even toyed with the idea of having an open marriage in 2019, but supposedly decided against it.

Now it is NeNe’s turn to face cheating allegations. According to Page Six, NeNe has allegedly been having an extramarital relationship with Rodney White, who is a director at the United States Department of Agriculture. NeNe and Rodney have known each other for years, but in late 2017, the duo started to spend more time together. The couple has been seen out and about several times. And Rodney seems to enjoy the perks that come with NeNe’s fame.

Page Six reported that NeNe and Rodney were spotted together at a Miami hotspot in January 2019. And the pair looked very friendly. A source claimed, “They were touching each other, laughing, giggling, kissing, but it wasn’t like they were full-blown slobbering down. I don’t think she was trying to hide it.” This happened while Gregg was still battling cancer. That is not a good look, NeNe.

Another insider claimed that Rodney often accompanied NeNe to RHOA appearances, such as her Watch What Happens Live interview in November of 2019.  And some of NeNe’s co-stars were allegedly aware of Rodney’s presence in NeNe’s life. A source stated that “Marlo [Hampton] knows who this man is. Cynthia [Bailey] knows who this man is. Eva [Marcille] has seen them together.”

NeNe finally broke her silence and addressed the affair rumor.  (Please bear in mind there is some rough grammar ahead.) “The bond is unbreakable! Everything else might break tho but not the bond!” NeNe posted on Instagram.

“For real tho, We been working on something very special lately. Noooooo not our marriage fool cause we both got side pieces,” NeNe said with a frowning face emoji. As usual, NeNe also teased an upcoming project.

Below Deck Mediterranean Star Captain Sandy Yawn Says She Would Never Go Through A Guests’ Belongings If She Suspected They Brought Drugs On The Boat Like Captain Glenn Shephard Did

As the Below Deck series and spin-offs continue to multiply, it’s only natural to contrast the differing crew, boats, and captains.  Turnover in yachting seems quite high among the crew, but the captains have been pretty consistent throughout the seasons.

Captain Lee Rosbach is our OG from the pilot episode, while Captain Sandy Yawn replaced Captain Mark Howard after one season and has been on Below Deck Mediterranean ever since.  Captain Glenn Shephard is the newcomer at the helm of Below Deck Sailing Yacht.  And while he seemed to have a firm and steady hand in terms of dealing with crew issues, his handling of a suspected charter guest with drugs did not go over so well in the season finale.

Captain Sandy had a lot to say about how Captain Glenn dealt with a charter guest who supposedly brought drugs on board the boat.  The primary and the guest in question were confronted, and bags were searched.  Captain Glenn did not find anything incriminating, and the charter guests tipped generously despite the uncomfortable situation.  But what do you do when two crew members report seeing the charter guest behaving erratically with a white powder under his nose?

According to Captain Sandy, it should have been handled differently.  “I’ve had lots of experience dealing with clients and drugs,” she told In Touch Weekly.  And while it’s “hard to judge” as each situation could be different, Sandy would not have gone through a client’s luggage.

Sandy recalled one instance when a charter guest brazenly let her know that he had illegal substances on his person.  “I had one guy come up to me once and he goes, ‘Can I smoke pot on the bow?’ I go, ‘Did you ask me that question because you think I want to join you?  Why [did] you ask me that?” Sandy said, “seriously, right now.  You are on an international vessel.  That word is a big, no.  And if you have marijuana on board, I suggest you get it off now.”

Sandy’s strategy is to have the guest dispose of their own stash.  She explained, “I prefer to go to the primary client and say, ‘It’s been brought to my attention that there’s maybe drugs on board.  I need you to handle this and handle it now.  I need them off the vessel.”

If a client chooses not to cooperate, Sandy relies on administrative channels to deal with the issue.  “If they refuse to take their drugs off, ” she said, “I then call the charter broker, first their broker, and I say, ‘I’m going to remove your client off the vessel because they’re refusing to take their drugs off.”

Captain Glenn had other options, and Sandy suggested that searching luggage is not the best tact.  “I actually work within the confines.  I don’t ever go through their stuff,” she concluded, “that’s not my job.  I’m not a cop.”

Tiger King Star Carole Baskin Has Gained Control Of Joe Exotic’s Zoo

 

Remember when Tiger King: Joe Exotic brought some light into this dark time? It feels like centuries ago. The world we were exposed to in this Netflix docuseries was all kinds of messy. At the center is Joe Exotic , aka Joseph Maldonado-Passage, a Tiger breeder/fake country singer who loved Liberace’s wardrobe as much as he hated Carole Baskin. Baskin is the founder of Big Cat Rescue near Tampa, Florida (these stories are meant for Florida, no?), and may or may not have fed her first husband to the tigers. Regardless, Carol and Joe were nemeses for years. So much so that Joe hired the world’s most untrustworthy hitman to kill Carol for a paltry $3,000. (Remember Episode 7 when the hit man in the bathtub said *uck it, took the money and went to a strip club?!).

Anyway, other insane characters are involved in this wild story of twists and turns. In Episode 2 we met Bhagavan “Doc” Antle and his creepy harem of brainwashed women. Then we met disgusting Jeff Lowe, who very likely incentivized Joe to hire a hit man to kill Carole. All of which was perhaps an elaborate scheme so Jeff could gain control of Joe’s Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park. In sum, Joe Exotic was found guilty of this murder-for-hire plot, charged for violating the Endangered Species Act, and for falsifying wildlife records. He will be sitting in prison for the next 22 years, unless our President grants him that pardon. Today, news has been shared that offers yet another twist in this already twisted tale.

According to People, Carole has gained control of Joe’s former zoo. Jeff has 120 day to vacate the property. Yes, the woman both men wanted dead, is finally getting what she’s always wanted – their animals and property. Back in February 2016, Big Cat Rescue sued Joe’s mom, Shirley Schreibvogel. Carole argued that the transfer of Joe’s Oklahoma zoo to his mother was fraudulent.

According to People’s sources the complaint filed showed that, “Schreibvogel later admitted under oath that the zoo land was transferred to her by Joe [Exotic] to remove it from the reach of creditors, including BCR, should BCR win its Florida lawsuit.” Welp. There you have it the land is Carole’s.

Depsite what you might think of Carole, this could potentially be a good move. The zoo has been “operating on fumes,” according to Director Eric Goode. “No one is going now and there’s no source of income, and that’s been going on for a long time…It’s not something that has just happened because of what’s happening the world today,” he shared. Think of the animals and how they must be living.

Jeff has “120 days to vacate the premises – including all of his animals currently residing there,” People reports.  Lowe, Big Cat Rescue, and Joe’s Public Defender have not yet commented on the matter. It’s safe to say Carole’s happy. Joe on the other hand is now at Dallas-Fort Worth medical center, “after he was exposed to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19),” People reports with the help of Fox 25. The moral of the story is, you can’t beat a woman like a Carole. Just look at what her husband does for her.

Elyse Slaine Former Nanny Claimed Elyse Refused To Give Her Medical Leave & Skimped On Pay; Elyse Sued Her Ex’s Kids After He Died

Elyse Slaine may not be doing much on Real Housewives Of New York, but it’s a shame because there are so many skeletons in her closet. Dorinda Medley hinted at them on last week’s’ episode, and since I am oh-so-nosy it prompted me to do some digging.

After all, Bravo doesn’t hire the saintly types. Even if Elyse hasn’t officially been hired, you know Bravo wouldn’t give her the time of day if there wasn’t something nefarious to dig into!

Let’s just say the Elyse in the history books of Page Six (once called one of Wall Street’s “most fascinating first wives,”) is far more interesting than the Elyse who is lecturing Leah McSweeney on propriety and alcohol consumption (although to be fairness Tiki Torches McStabby probably does need a good talking-to).

Way back when, Elyse was married to hedge fund manager David Slaine. David worked for Galleon Group. The company disbanded after David pleaded guilty in 2009 to conspiracy and securities fraud. He avoided jail time by turning informant against his boss. Elyse must have gotten some divorce settlement because she spoke out in his defense. In fact, Elyse happens to live an extraordinarily scandal-plagued life. In 2014 Page Six reported that protests formed outside her Park Avenue apartment building after she abruptly fired her housekeeper/nanny, Marichu De Sesto, for requesting time off for medical reasons. Elyse was also accused of shorting her wages, including overtime.

“She just doesn’t care — she has no heart at all,” Marichu said of Elyse. Marichu spent 15 years working for. According to Marichu, Elyse told her to pack her bags and leave by the time Elyse returned from a jaunt in the Hamptons. Elyse apparently didn’t care that Marichu may have no other place to go.

Instead of capitulating Marichu contacted Damayan, a migrant worker’s group to help her collect her wages. At the time Elyse’s attorney asserted that Marichu actually quit “after being told that she could not take off a weekend that she had previously agreed to work.”

They argue Marichu actually took her own jaunt off to the Poconos for that weekend. Then, they tried to claim she was fired. The case eventually found itself in NY Labor Court.

Elyse even accused Marichu of antisemitism for using anti-zionists activists to harass and intimidate her. Elyse is Jewish.

It’s unclear how this eventually resolved itself. Or I am too lazy to go further down the rabbit hole? Elyse moved on to bigger and more upper-crust court matters. This time battling her ex-boyfriend’s children, over what appears to be that very same Park Avenue apartment!

Post-divorce, Elyse, a former financial journalist turned day trader, moved on to Donald Drapkin, the then chairman of Casablanca Capital. Together they purchased a $4.2 million dollar duplex. When they split, Elyse remained in the duplex.

In 2017 Donald died in a skiing accident. Elyse sued his children to preemptively bar them from trying to seize the apartment! It’s not even clear if they had the intention to… Elyse said Donald intended the apartment for her as a gift. She claimed his sons, who were managing his estate, were trying to prevent this. Two months later, a judge dismissed the case, and she remained in the apartment. She might even still live there today.

Finally, Elyse found happiness with a new man. In 2018 Elyse married Dr. Reinhold Gebert, another money guy but this one has an Ivy League background in science.

Well, I certainly wish Elyse would open up more. She needs to stop being so standoffish and judgmental. Especially given her own history!

Kathryn Dennis Addresses Monkey Emoji Controversy Again; Admits She Was Wrong

By now you have heard about the hot water Southern Charm star Kathryn Dennis put herself in. Kathryn shared a tense message exchange with an African American woman, defending her support of the President. While that is not a racist act in itself, screenshots of the conversation have been made public. At best, Kathryn is severely lacking in tact.

In an attempt to make a point during the correspondence, Kathryn used a monkey emoji. Naturally, this was extremely offensive to the recipient and because the context of the conversation centered around race. The monkey emoji was not seen as a gesture of amusement, but a definitive act of discrimination. Kathryn has apologized for the incident and promised to make a public statement of remorse, which has yet to occur. Now Kathryn is addressing her mistake on social media again, and offers another apology.

Fans supported Kathryn’s return from the Thomas Ravenel abyss of destruction. We applauded Kathryn’s achievements in ridding herself from the binds of substance abuse, becoming a responsible mother, and getting away from negative influences. Kathryn was one of the rare entities that “made a comeback” and it was great television.

Now Kathryn has completely might have destroyed that work. She probably destroyed her fan base or hope of support in the future.

She took to Twitter to reflect on her massive “mistake”. Kathryn wrote, “Honestly I never realized the monkey emoji was racist. Obviously I was wrong. I’m sorry. The conversation I had was distorted and completely taken out of context and now I’m being called all these things that I am not.”

Is it possible Kathryn did not know the monkey emoji is racist? Maybe, if she lived in the woods with no human contact and only scraps of possum to live on. But honey, to say you live in the South and don’t know the monkey emoji is racist is bullshit in it’s highest form. We see you.

Kathryn then shares her appreciation of those who have taken the time to enlighten her on basic standards of communication. Kathryn said, “I really appreciate people who correct me and teach me because without them I might have been repeating mistakes for a long time.” Golly, those internet receipts can be tricky.

Kathryn continued, “Honestly I use that emoji all the time because it looks silly and awkward the way the way it is sitting. [The person] I was messaging is anonymous I did not know who…boy/girl black/white.” Oops, the published screenshots of the conversation prove there is little doubt Kathryn was aware her recipient was a person of color.

Let’s be clear, the monkey emoji in itself is not racist. Kathryn admits to and it has been confirmed she has used the monkey emoji with regularity in the past. The problem is the context of the conversation Kathryn was having, which revolved around race and race relations.

The Twitter posts received feedback applauding Kathryn’s backpedaling effort to cultivate new avenues of thought, but for the most part people weren’t buying it. She posted, “I hear you, I see you and I’m sorry.” Is this a sincere effort towards improvement? Her bank account probably hopes so. Kathryn has lost a successful relationship with high-end department store Gwynn’s, as a result of her “mistake”.

Kathryn closed out her trip around the regret tree with, “For the fans that I have offended, I’m sorry. For the fans that have supported me, thank you.” Is this the big public statement? Is this the aftermath of profound soul searching? Southern Charm has recently lost three cast members, allegedly due to Kathryn being unable to refrain from sharing rumors. It makes you wonder if Bravo hasn’t had enough of her antics because we have.

While Kathryn has not attacked someone physically, she is getting a fast diploma on how words or actions can be more harmful. This is an opportunity for Kathryn to use her platform as one of change and acceptance. She needs to move forward with the knowledge that what might be “funny” to her can be hateful to others. She could use the new tools she has gained to educate her children so the excuse pattern of “not knowing” will stop. Or maybe Kathryn is just telling people what they want to hear in a frantic attempt to save what’s left of her job.
