Tonight’s episode of Teen Mom 2 continues to show the nitty gritty of what’s going down in Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin’s ugly divorce battle. Are all those past cryptic tweets and social media updates from them starting to make sense now? Definitely. Jenelle Evans has her own date in court, as her long awaited custody hearing for Jace gets under way with a deposition. Chelsea Houska and Cole DeBoer get their gender confirmation, while Leah Messer deals with ex-husband Jeremy Calvert moving on. Let’s start with them, shall we?
It’s before 6 AM and Leah is trying desperately to get her kids to the bus stop on time. Before I get back to how fun it is to play “Will They or Won’t They?” Bus Stop Edition, now would be a great time to address some previous rumors in the media (just hear me out, ok?) that Leah is pregnant again. While Leah has come out on the record to say, “gee where do people even get this stuff?” I will tell you where: FROM THE SONOGRAM PICS HANGING ON YOUR FRIDGE. Did anyone else catch that? As Leah rushes out of the kitchen to get the girls to school, there are two unmistakable rolls of sonogram pictures hung up on her fridge. That’s right, people, rewind your DVRs if you didn’t catch it. This one is going to be tough to explain….

Addie is with Jeremy’s family for the week while Jeremy goes on vacation with his girlfriend. Leah’s friend’s come over to hear Leah complain about how terrible Jeremy is for not picking up Addie on time and blames her anxiety on him. Her friends nod in agreement, furthering Leah’s belief that she is a victim in all of this.
A week goes by and Leah is thrilled to pick up Addie from Jeremy, who wastes no time telling Leah he’s engaged now. Leah plays it cool for a second and then abandons that plan to tell him how irrational he is and how their marriage was the biggest mistake of her life. Once she’s in the car with her friend, she brags about not giving him any reaction. Sigh, I wish I could live a life that devoid of reality, especially when it comes to interpreting uncomfortable situations that JUST happened five minutes ago. While Leah continues to pat herself on the back about what a great job she has done, Addie screams in the back about everything from wanting lipstick at Wal-Mart, to getting a boyfriend. Now we see that lack of reaction Leah was talking about as she completely ignores the rantings of a toddler.
Chelsea and Cole are off to get gender confirmation at their sonogram and as they chatter in the car about how crazy it is to create a baby (agreed), I can’t help but feel their excitement, even though we all already know it’s a boy. Once they are done, Chelsea and Cole meet the producers in the parking lot and Cole announces his big news by whooping, “he’s got a weiner!” and showing off the potty shot of the sonogram. As soon as they get home, they show Aubree and she is adorably excited for her little brother.
Later, Chelsea finds out that a warrant was issued for Adam’s arrest for not paying child support to either her or Taylor. To get her mind off things, she goes shopping with her friend for baby boy clothes and talks about her excitement in getting married soon. She’s going to take Cole’s last name, even though her friend can’t even figure out how to pronounce it. Side note: it’s not that hard.
Jenelle has a friend come over (Jenelle has friends?) to check out her latest sonogram pictures and discuss Jenelle’s upcoming custody hearing for Jace. Kaiser is completely on his own, entertaining himself in a play pen stuffed with toys and a drum set while Jenelle drones on about how she hopes this whole thing doesn’t get nasty, like it hasn’t already.
When she does come out of her deposition, Jenelle’s lawyer discusses what just happened and what they really need to address when it comes to custody: Barb’s concerns about Jenelle’s relationship with David Eason and her financial stability moving forward. Jenelle zones out and makes a case for herself in the court of public opinion, citing that she has been in and out of this courthouse her whole life and all the judges know her and have seen her grow up. That would sound really lovely if maybe she was a Judge’s daughter but Jenelle’s lawyer gently steers her away from the idea of being proud that a courthouse is her home away from home.
Jenelle calls David on the ride home to tell him what happened and I will spare you the details and tell you that it’s basically some equally out of touch interpretation of what Jenelle thinks qualifies her to be a good mom.
Over at Barb’s house, the producer chats with her about how she thinks it went and Barb expresses her real concern, which is Jenelle’s long term stability. Jenelle went to school and doesn’t even use her degree so Barb feels like once Teen Mom 2 goes away, Jenelle won’t be able to pay for her “big fancy house” and “life of luxury”. The producer points out that Barb previously stated Jenelle just needs to go to school and get off drugs to get Jace back and Barb back pedals, saying Jenelle needs to get her life together and she’s not there yet. She then gets emotional about the idea of losing Jace.
Kail is trying to iron out proposed custody with Javi and has agreed to his 50/50 request. In a rare showing of being a decent human being, she drops both Isaac and Lincoln off at his house the night before they go to mediation. But her good spirit doesn’t last because when Kail mentions she was taking care of the boys all by her lonesome while Javi was away, he pops her mother martyr bubble by pointing out they were at either school or camp all day. Kail will hear none of this and stomps out as producer J.C. is tasked with going back in to Javi’s to get his side. Javi’s only excuse is that they just don’t get along, but he does feel bad and decides to call her and apologize (insincerely, if you ask me). J.C. says Javi seems upset but it looks to me like Javi just wants to watch football and lay on his couch.
After the mediation appointment, Kail and Javi need to decide on holidays before signing anything so they head to lunch to figure it out. Before they even get to order, Kail is already antagonizing Javi over the fit of his shirt and it quickly escalates AGAIN. They argue over where Lincoln gets to spend Christmas and spirals into what happens when Kail gets a boyfriend. Kail immediately storms out, angry at Javi’s “low blows”. As she loudly complains in the parking lot, cameras and Javi follow to catch the drama. They go back and forth until Javi lays his biggest card on the table to use against Kail: that she slept with someone else while he was gone and when he came home, someone else was already in his house. Not surprisingly, Kail refuses to address this and defends herself by saying Javi wasn’t supportive during her miscarriage. Javi tries to keep her from speeding off but Kail has had enough, slams her car door and knocks the camera off her dash so she can cool down in peace.
So much for a resolution.

To be honest, I wasn’t super pumped for Real Housewives of Potomac to return. But after watching the trailer for the upcoming season, I’ve decided that I’m for it and ready to give these ladies a second chance. It looks like there is a lot of drama going down- especially between the self-appointed etiquette queen Karen Huger and her co-star Robyn Dixon.
Aside from what I saw in the trailer, these two are openly beefing on Twitter. They’re calling each other out and coming through with the receipts in response. They are not holding back. At all.

The feud between Robyn and Karen spilled over into Twitter when the whole RHOP cast went out to celebrate the new season- except for Karen. Robyn decided to post an article about the outing on Twitter and its title which was “The Real Housewives of Potomac Hit the Town to Celebrate Season 2 — and Leave One ‘Wife at Home” obviously trying to build up the curiosity about who was left out and take a dig at Karen.

And within that article, Robyn threw additional shade at Karen when she told The Daily Dish, “All but Karen Huger attended [the event].” She also said “Karen was invited but claims that she sprained her ankle. Not sure if we all believe her, lol.”
Well apparently Karen was bored when she was resting at home because she not only saw Robyn’s tweet, but she also replied with photo evidence of her injured ankle. Karen quipped, “Some people @robynbdixon are so desperate to be relevant they would rather spill sloppy T than call and check on a friend @Bravotv.” Oh damn.
That wasn’t good enough for Robyn who responded with, “Ok @KARENHUGER with the receipts but I’m sorry ma’am, only superficial people would care about being ‘relevant . Feel better” complete with eye roll and clapping hands emojis. It seems like Karen was damned if she did reply with proof and damned if she did not actually provide evidence.
Personally, I have no horse in this race. Like I said before, I was less than thrilled when RHOP’s second season was announced. Based on the first season, it was tough to root for any of these women. Hopefully I feel differently when the new episodes air.

One day after the 2017 Oscars, late night hosts tried to make sense of the Best Picture flub. Initially, Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty announced La La Land had been named the winner of...It doesn’t seem like Everett Weston is actually into all of the drama that goes down on Summer House. He comes off like a loyal boyfriend who’s willing to do anything to take up for his girlfriend Lindsay Hubbard. Other than standing up for Lindsay, Everett has been the victim of some drama, courtesy of housemate Stephen McGee.
In the last episode Stephen told Lindsay that Everett told him (yes, I know this sounds like a horrible game of telephone) that he woke up in a bed with four women. It should be noted that Everett was never actually shown saying that and if he did, I’m pretty positive that it would have made the episode. It’s a shame because Stephen was my favorite cast member and now we have to figure out who to believe in this dramatic situation.

I don’t know why Stephen would be motivated to just straight up lie about something Everett said IN FRONT OF REALITY TV CAMERAS, but everyone who watches reality television knows that this does happen often. I don’t see why Everett would confide in Lindsay’s friend of all people about something shady he supposedly did behind her back, so it’s not surprising that he’s denying talking to Stephen.
Everett explained what went down in an interview on the Buttered Pop podcast, “First of all, I never told anything to Stephen because I don’t trust him. I think as we’ve seen- which I saw it happen during the season- he interjected himself into situations where he didn’t belong.” As much as I love Stephen’s personality and think that he has the best commentary during the on-camera interviews, it doesn’t seem like he has much of a story line on his own. Maybe he’s just trying to secure his spot on the show? Or maybe Everett really did confide in him? I would like to see some receipts.
Everett brought up another example of Stephen messing with another romantic relationship in the house: the hookup budding romance between Lauren Wirkus and Carl Radke. Everett recalled, “He’d be like withholding information about a wedding to create a major conflict between Carl and Lauren. And then obviously, there’s this thing that happened last time.” Yeah, other than those phone calls with his long distance boyfriend and the adorable bromance with Carl, it seems like Stephen’s role on the show is to be the resident shit stirrer.
Back to the issue at hand, Everett recalled, “When I said this thing that he thought he heard, it was to Kyle. It was nothing along those lines because I was at my friend Nate’s house and I did wake up next to my friend Nate and next to my other friend Kim.” If only this talk was actually captured by the cameras! Everett continued, “And it was a situation that was twisted grossly out of what was actually reality. Frankly, that was the first time I had seen that level of meddling in relation to me.” Unfortunately, that’s how reality TV works.
Everett went on about how Stephen was doing the most to spread this story to anyone who would listen. Everett said, “There was that time in the car and when he spoke to Jaclyn [Shuman] and he spoke to both Wirkuses about it. And he basically confronts Lindsay about it.”
Everett said, “It’s like dude, first of all this doesn’t involve you. It’s none of your business and it’s not true. It’s frustrating because I really try to give Stephen the benefit of the doubt during the show. I didn’t really know him coming into it all that much. He was friends with Lindsay.” And Lindsay thought that she had a bad friend in Cristina Gibson, and meanwhile it’s Stephen who’s doing the most to mess with her romantic relationship. Yikes.
Everett added, “Once you cross me like that, it’s hard to come back.” The podcast host asked Everett, “He’s dropped right?” and Everett didn’t say any actual words in response, but he let out a sound that seemed to be pretty affirmative to me.
Not only did Stephen talk crap about Everett, but the story kept evolving as the episode went on. Everett recalled, “What are you trying to do? Are you just trying to create situations here? For what? It’s a little baffling here. The story that I supposedly told him kept changing.” Everett also shared, “I haven’t spoken to him since about it. We don’t really speak all that often.” I don’t blame him.
Everett continued, “It pissed me off. I didn’t know to the degree that somebody else was trying to create drama in my relationship with Lindsay. God knows that we have enough drama that goes down without other people trying to stir the pot. So I was quite irritated when I watched that.” Again, I don’t blame him.
The summer wasn’t all fights and fake friendships for Everett though. Everett did reveal that he came out of the experience being close friends with Kyle Cooke and Lauren. In regard to Kyle, Everett said, “Him and I had been homies for a while and I was planning on going into the season as his wing man and then Lindsay stole my heart.” And he also said, “Over the summer, Lauren and I became really tight, especially because her and Lindsay are really close friends and Lauren is just such an awesome, supportive person.”
That’s all well and good, but what I really want to know is what is going to happen with Stephen after all the drama that he has instigated. The podcast host made remarks about how Stephen is calculated and manipulates the story lines for the show and Everett affirmed, “One hundred percent. You hit the nail on the head.” Everett also teased, “You reap what you sow, so we’ll see what happens.” And I cannot wait to see what goes down.

The final four is upon us! TV's Top Couple is down to the wire, and we're just two rounds away from declaring a winner. In this round, we have some old favorites and a couple of...To say that this has been a rough year for Katie Maloney on Vanderpump Rules would be a major understatement. Not only is she at the center of most of the drama this season, but she is also really feeling the heat from the Pump Rules fandom on social media. Now Katie is defending herself against the haters and justifying her actions by giving the viewers some insight on her conflicts with Scheana Marie Shay, Ariana Madix, and LaLa Kent.
Hopefully Katie has some reasonable explanations for her behavior this season, but I guess that’s up for you to decide. I was all for Katie “finding her voice” and moving away from being portrayed as Stassi Schroeder’s sidekick, but now it’s hard to know how I feel- not that I actually know these people or have any role in this friend group. Needless to say, Katie’s latest interview is interesting.

Katie appeared on the Pump Rules Podcast to open up about all that has gone down this season. One story line that has been a real throwback to Season 1 is the Stassi, Katie, and Kristen Doute clique vs. Scheana. And Katie finds it very offensive. Katie explained, “I’ve been a little caught off guard. I was aware that Scheana was saying certain things about me and wasn’t particularly happy with me- not even understanding why when it was happening, but watching now this season and seeing really all the stuff she was saying and not really seeing where that was coming from.” I feel like Scheana was just getting some sort of friendship PTSD from the old days in all honesty. Now that the big three are close again, Scheana feels less welcome.
Katie insists that this is all in Scheana’s head and that she was very much included. Katie explained, “There was a solid eight months where you know me Scheana, Stassi, Kristen, Rachael, and whoever else would all hang out like this big group of girlfriends. Sometimes it would be all of us, sometimes it would be a few of us in whatever combinations you could make from that group and it was great. There was never a problem. Then all of sudden Scheana is kind of sort of putting a wedge between us and we didn’t know why.” If that’s actually the case, then I feel like that’s a part of life, within every big friend group, there are some people who are bound to be closer and sometimes not everyone is available to hang at the same time. Sure FOMO can be tough sometimes, but was Scheana actually excluded? That’s the tough part to figure out. To paraphrase something Ariana Madix said in a previous interview on the same podcast, it seems like Stassi and Kristen might be overcompensating for the years when they were on the outs with Katie by supporting her no matter what she does… or texts.
Katie continued to emphasize that they did not exclude Scheana when she explained, “And she was like ‘It’s just the three of you’ and we were like ‘since when?’ What? Four years ago? We haven’t gone through everything to go back to that. We are not reliving that again. We are not repeating history.” Or are you? Aside from Scheana being super tacky when she revealed the bridesmaid expenses (which she apologized for), it really does seem like Scheana is just insecure with her spot in the group and didn’t really do anything bad.
Katie added, “We have pulled her aside and had so many conversations with her just to let her know how much we love her, how much we regret wasting time, and how happy we were to come together and be this great group of girlfriends. I feel like that was a choice that Scheana made. I don’t know if it was an insecurity thing. I’ve been trying to figure out exactly what it is because nothing I’ve done or said- or any of the other girls- has warranted that kind of response from Scheana. So for her to just kind of victimize herself consistently and put it on me like I hate her.” I feel like this would be a logical time to bring up Katie’s Klique getting mad at Scheana for talking to LaLa at work about work-related topics, but LaLa is a whole other portion in this interview. Is Scheana really a victim of this clique or is she playing this up for a story line?
Switching topics, slightly, Katie doesn’t understand why everyone thinks she’s bridezilla who makes everything about her wedding- even though pretty much this entire season has been a series of events leading up to her wedding. Katie did not understand Scheana’s melt down during the spa day at Pandora Vanderpump’s house.

Katie lamented, “In the last episode at Pandora’s when she got so upset with me and ran to the bathroom crying and saying that she hates me, I’m just like at what point did I say that I hated you? And it’s like ‘all about me’? ‘Everything’s about me and I can say and do what I want there’s and there’s no consequences.’ And I’m like what was I saying or doing that I didn’t think that there were consequences for?” Rage texting, anyone?
Katie continued to ask, “That I was being honest with you? That’s the one thing that I’ll say, people can call me a tyrant and they can call me a bridezilla or whatever, but basically what I was trying to do this whole summer was be in a real place with people where there were no question marks about what I thought or felt about someone- that basically however I was feeling, what I was thinking I was just gonna let you know because I feel like I’m doing a disservice to someone, I’m being deceitful to my best friend by not telling them how they’re affecting me.”
Katie tried to explain her tendency to bring up her wedding: “Of course when I say ‘It’s my wedding season. Of course I don’t want this kind of stuff’ it’s the only part that they show so it looks like I’m making it all about that. But if I’m a bridezilla and a tyrant for wanting my friends to get along and the dynamic to be just solid between everyone- to make the wedding even more enjoyable, then call me a bridezilla because I don’t know who in their right mind wouldn’t want to strive for peace and calm within their group of friends- especially under the kind of stress I was in. It just was more comforting to know that people were actually trying to give each other a chance- but I’m a tyrant for that.” That actually does make sense in all honesty. I know everyone is hating on Katie this season, but if she just wanted everyone to get along, I can see why she might use her wedding as bargaining chip to persuade people to stop fighting- it just really came off like she was trying to bring the attention back on to herself in all honesty. But once again, I do understand that we don’t get to see everything that goes down and blah blah blah blah.
And eventually Katie eventually addressed her issues with LaLa, which she also used to address her issues with Ariana. Katie complained, “When it came to the LaLa stuff, the whole like sit-down and trying to make peace between us, I’m just wondering at what point Ariana thought that was productive or a good idea or in the least bit respectful to me.” Did she not watch the show? Katie’s own mentor Lisa Vanderpump is the one who asked Ariana to sit down Katie, Scheana, and LaLa to try and hash things out. If Katie claims that she wanted everyone to get along for the sake of her wedding (which is one day) and its events, then wouldn’t she be understanding of Lisa wanting her employees to peacefully coexist at her restaurant?
Katie hypothesized that Ariana and LaLa only got close when she rekindled her friendship with Kristen which is a claim that might hold some validity since Ariana and LaLa have had it out with Kristen in the past. But then again, they are all on this show together so of course they have to be in scenes together! How does nobody realize this? Katie claimed, “Her and LaLa sort of struck up a friendship out of thin air for all I know, so for her to kind of be orchestrating that really, really got to me because I had a very close friendship with Kristen for many years and I spent two years not being friends and that’s during a time when Ariana and I got close and then when Kristen and I sort of began to reconcile, that’s when Ariana and I sort of stopped being as close.” Again, I feel like it was more about making peace for the sake of being on the same show together, but who knows if they just formed friendship “I Hate Kristen” meetings, but Kristen is so harmless these days. She is the most fun person on the show and she isn’t f***ing anyone else’s boyfriend, so I don’t see why she would be blamed for anything.
Katie then tried to relate Ariana’s Lisa Vanderpump-instigated attempt to get Scheana and Katie to get along with LaLa AT THEIR PLACE OF WORK to the fact that she never tried to push Ariana and Kristen to “reconcile”- as if they were ever friends. Katie said, “I never once for the benefit of myself or the show or anything ever tried to orchestrate some sort of reconciliation between Kristen and Ariana because I knew that was never going to happen because I knew how Ariana felt and even as willing as Kristen was, I knew that I would disrespect my friend Ariana by trying to ignorant to the fact that this is something she would never be interested in. So I always just kept it separate and Kristen knew and respected that. She would never be upset about me being friends with Ariana. She understood all that.” Yeah, because Kristen has morphed into being the best female cast member on this show- at least in my opinion. But contrary to what goes down with many people in this clique, not everyone knows how to be friends with someone their boyfriend dated or had sex with. Not to mention all of that Miami girl drama- but I’m not trying to bring up the past with Kristen. She’s reformed now.
So why does Katie have an issue with LaLa? By now we all know that the problem lies in whatever LaLa was saying in between seasons about Katie- things that did not make the show. And that’s totally valid. Nobody wants someone to be talking shit, but as far as the show goes, not all of the viewers listen to/watch/read all of the cast interviews. It’s tough to get the complete picture here. And instead Katie and clique’s hatred of LaLa transformed her from a side character with zero relevance in the cast to a main topic of conversation- oh the irony. If they just didn’t mention her at all, she would have been kicked off of this show way before she quit.
