It was a tense premiere full of “hattitude” for Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9, Episode 1! The ladies are back, and there’s major drama afoot with Karen’s recent DUI. This week the group tries to put the pieces of the puzzle together regarding Karen’s accident. However, she is remaining mum on the situation. Gizelle also has a hattitude party for Karen’s birthday, but that goes left when Mia’s personal relationships get put in the spotlight. Here’s everything you need to know about RHOP Season 9, Episode 1: “A Crash Course in Deflection.”

Gizelle tries to get Karen to set the record straight about her DUI

The Grande Dame sure knows how to make a dramatic entrance. Season 9 kicked off with a reenactment of the night of Karen’s DUI. A series of charges against Karen flashed across the screen: DUI, DWI, the list went on and on. Needless to say, the cast was shook. Ashely was concerned this was a repeated offense, and Mia observed you can be a danger to yourself but not to others. Gizelle surmised this was not the Karen that she knew.

A month later, Gizelle picked up Karen for lunch. The two looked fab twinning in their denim bustier tops. After they ordered two “Karen specials,” consisting of french toast, scrambled eggs, and bacon, they got down to it. Unfortunately, Gizelle didn’t get the answers she was looking for. Karen couldn’t say much because her case had not been adjudicated yet. But she did share that the loss of her parents and marriage issues had affected her state of mind that night. So they moved on to Gizelle setting up a birthday lunch for Karen. She was going to need all the carbs she could get for the questions to come.

Mia and Gordon were in a much better place than when we saw them last. Flashback to Mia accusing Gordon of locking her in a room, and Gordon revealing he knew she had an affair. Eesh. Now the two are living in the same building. Mia didn’t like she couldn’t have her “sneaky links” with Inc, but the setup was best for the kids. She then asked for a paternity test to verify Gordon is Jeremiah’s father. Inc was questioning it because Mia had an affair with him shortly after her IUI. Gordon told her to tell Inc to drop it. That’s probably not going to happen.

Wendy officially resigns from her role as professor

There were some big life changes happening for Ashley and Wendy. After two years, Ashley was finally ready to move on with the divorce process. And she was hopeful that Michael would be reasonable regarding custody of their kids. Wendy was ready to move on from her role as a professor, so she sent in her resignation letter. She wanted to spend more time with the fam and find something more fulfilling. As Eddie hugged her congratulations, the fear of having to tell her mom next lingered over any excitement she had with sending that email.

Karen met up with newbie RHOP star Stacey Rusch at their friend Vivien Agbakoba’s boutique. They needed dresses for Gizelle’s hattitude party. We learned that Stacey recently moved back to Potomac after quitting her job at QVC. She also has a daughter and is going through a divorce. It’s been rough, but Stacey was level-headed and said it was the right thing to do.

After a classic montage of trying on dresses, the three celebrated with some bubbly. Vivien and Stacey were concerned about drinking champs in front of Karen. However, Karen reassured them she was only drinking water because of her medication. She would be having drinks with them later. The ladies all cheered to that, but it was awkward at best.

Jacqueline spills some serious tea before Karen arrives at the hattitude party

Gizelle had a lovely hattitude party set up for Karen’s birthday lunch. Custom-made hats were designed and named for each lady. She explained hattitude was all about love, style, and grace. Then she added she “needs for these ladies to act like they have some.” And if they didn’t, a taco, banana, or construction hat awaited their fate. Ashley arrived first and tried to get the lowdown of Gizelle’s conversation with Karen. But Gizelle told her Karen had shut her down and told her to read the paper. Maybe Ashley could get answers from Karen later.

Wendy arrived and was ready to have a conversation with Gizelle about their relationship. Gizelle claimed to be all about peace these days. And she too hoped to mend things with Wendy and move on. Mia came with her new bestie, Jassi Rideaux. Jassi is a flight attendant who recently settled down in Potomac with Kansas City Chiefs NFL player Darius Harris. Wendy let out her inner Swiftie and wanted to get all the Taylor Swift goss immediately.

Mia’s frenemy Jacqueline was also there. She spilled the tea that she had recently talked with Karen, who sounded tipsy on the phone. Jacqueline didn’t have proof, but everyone’s eye brows raised two notches. Finally, the birthday girl arrived in a bedazzled cowboy hat. Let the showdown begin.

Mia does the first walk off of the season

Karen wasn’t too happy when she saw there was a non-alcoholic drink called “The Grande Dame” on the menu. But she moved on once Gizelle gave her the “Hollywood” hat. Karen then opened the floor for questions like it was a press conference. She announced she wanted to know who her true friends were and didn’t want any “fake bitches” around her. She got crickets.

Gizelle then handed Ashley the “Cowgirl.” Ashley announced everyone was invited to her and Gizelle’s upcoming GnA fusion event. Wendy joked that they didn’t even have any apparel on their website, so how could they fuse anything? Mia was given “The King” for playing two guys. Of course Gizelle had to be shady and asked Mia if she had shared Inc with Jacqueline yet. Stacey was taken aback; she was not used to a “no boundaries” policy with questions. Welcome to the Real Housewives!

Things were lighthearted at first when Mia joked she and Inc had done Gordon’s laundry. But Karen and Gizelle took it to the next level when they brought up Gordon mentioning their kids had seen mom in bed with Inc. They didn’t think Mia was protecting her kids by seeing both men. Mia was shocked, and Wendy jumped in and said that was too far. Mia shouted her kids were thriving and it was wrong for them to bring this up. She then ran off upset, with Jassi and Jacqueline trailing behind her. We are so back.

Real Housewives of Potomac continues Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.

Here’s Why Sister Wives Kody Brown Saying He Wants to Befriend Meri Brown Is Rude

Kody Brown now wants to befriend Meri.

For years, Kody Brown of Sister Wives has made it crystal clear that he no longer wants Meri Brown in his life. Even though she tried to wiggle her way back into his good graces, Kody often treated Meri quite poorly. Viewers watched as Kody often left Meri out of family functions. This made her feel extremely uncomfortable whenever she came for a visit. So it was a surprise when Kody claimed he wanted to befriend Meri.

Kody Brown doesn’t want another enemy

Meri was Kody’s first legal wife. The duo tied the knot in 1990 and were together for over 30 years. However, Kody lost trust in his wife after a catfishing incident, and the two grew apart. In the most recent Sister Wives episode, Kody shocked viewers by stating that he was trying his best to mend fences. In fact, Kody was hoping to move on in life as friends. But Meri has left Flagstaff and now lives in Utah, where she runs her own business. Kody shared that the last thing he needs right now is another enemy. The father of 18 noted he and Christine Brown and Janelle Brown just don’t get along.

In his confessional, Kody clarified that he had zero romantic feelings for Meri. Kody added, “She is upset that I’ve dragged this out for so long. I don’t blame her. I don’t want Meri to be in this place where she’s taking this toll, this direction that both Christine and Janelle have taken. Oh, yeah, ‘I need one more enemy right now.’” Kody went on to say, “I think if I were single and Meri was single, would I date her? No, I wouldn’t.” Kody’s words felt hollow as he tried to convince viewers he once profoundly cared.

Kody Brown can’t accept that his family has drifted apart

Kody, acting as if he wants to stay friends with Meri, is out of left field. For years, he has done his best to ignore Meri’s wants and make her feel unloved. So now claiming that he wants to be friends sounds selfish. The patriarch wants to stay on good terms to make himself feel better. He isn’t worried about how Meri feels which has been the crux of the problem for the last ten years.

During another confessional, Kody noted, “That’s why I’m trying to be in this place with Meri where it’s like, ‘Hey, can we just be friends and move on?’” Kody’s intentions feel as if he wants to sweep all the bad things he has ever done under the rug. It is annoying to observe since Kody has a way of failing to take accountability. Why would Meri want to continue to be friends with her ex when he did nothing to show that he could be a good friend?

Kody Brown is on bad terms with almost everyone

During Episode 3, the Browns attended a family event. Even though the cameras weren’t allowed to film, it was easy to figure out that the event was the oldest son Logan Brown’s wedding. Kody noted that the entire experience was “awkward” as all his wives kept their distance. Kody once again acted as if he was the only one hurting, noting, “Overall, the whole wedding was just sad for me. We used to go places as a family, and now, those who were my partners are almost like enemies. It’s awkward. I don’t know what the solution is.”

After expressing hope that he and Meri could be friends, Kody reminisced over his relationship with Christine, saying, “For Christine and I, I think that if we would have just broken up as friends, it would have been better for the whole family. Like, make it so we can get back together another time instead of polarizing everybody.” However, Christine has been less than nice to Kody since she left the polygamous family. The mother of six doesn’t want to be friends with her ex and doesn’t think Meri should be friends with Kody either. It is obvious that Kody is having issues understanding why he won’t be reconciling, but the man only has himself to blame.

How Loren Allen Has Already Surpassed Ed Brown as the Ultimate 90 Day Fiancé Villain

Loren Allen beats Big Ed Brown in the villain game.

The 90 Day Fiancé franchise has seen plenty of villains over the years. One of these notorious cast members is Ed Brown, who has appeared in several different spin-offs. Ed’s journey began on 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days, when he flew to the Philippines to meet his ex Rose Vega. After their relationship went south, Ed began dating and later got engaged to Liz Woods. About a dozen break-ups later, Ed canceled his wedding to Liz which concluded their relationship for good as well.

Ed was considered the ultimate 90 Day Fiancé villain for some time but that may have finally changed. Like Ed once did, Loren Allen recently traveled to the Philippines for love on Before The 90 Days Season 7. Loren finally met his girlfriend Faith Gatoc Tulod in person but he was hiding a lot from her. Unfortunately for Faith, Loren’s secrets were a lot worse than she ever expected. In only a few episodes, Loren has already managed to surpass Ed as the worst 90 Day Fiancé villain yet.

Loren Allen lied to Faith about his plans to move to The Philippines

Loren has been dishonest with Faith from the beginning. The entire premise of Before The 90 Days involves the American cast member traveling overseas to meet their international partner for the first time. Faith expected Loren to only stay in The Philippines for a few weeks and honestly so did we.

It was a shock when Loren admitted that he hoped to stay in The Philippines permanently after meeting Faith. Before even getting on the plane, Loren explained that he didn’t really have plans of coming back to the US. Loren wasn’t making great money in America, so he felt that it would make more sense to live with Faith in The Philippines. While he was more than happy to share this with producers, he didn’t convey it to Faith.

Loren finally came clean to Faith during dinner with her family. When asked what his plan was for him and Faith, Loren revealed that he saw himself staying in The Philippines. Loren then added that he was technically homeless in America and only stayed in other people’s homes. Faith was surprised to hear this, as she was under the impression that she would be moving to the US to be with Loren. It was wrong of Loren to hide such a big secret from Faith and to assume that she would have no problem with him moving to The Philippines.

Loren cheated on Faith, which resulted in him contracting an STD

Loren’s next mistake was much worse than withholding his plans to move to The Philippines. Before he embarked on his trip, Loren discussed his dreams of having an open relationship. It was evident that this wasn’t something Faith was ok with and that he didn’t even really discuss it with her. To make matters worse, Loren was already acting as if he was in an official open relationship. Shortly before leaving for The Philippines, Loren had been sleeping with other people.

A few days after arriving, Loren and Faith went on a romantic getaway to a waterfall. Everything was going great until Loren decided to drop another big bomb on her. Right before the excursion, Loren found out that he had gonorrhea which he received from sleeping with another woman. This took place while he and Faith were dating online, so Faith was understandably angry to learn what was going on. Faith told Loren that she felt betrayed as he had cheated on her, while he tried to act like he hadn’t done anything wrong.

Loren hasn’t taken accountability for any of his mistakes, which makes him come off as even more of a villain. In just a few days, Faith found out that Loren planned to move to her country permanently after cheating on her which caused him to contract an STD. Loren didn’t see a problem with any of this but Faith and viewers certainly do.

Ed Brown was bad but nowhere near as bad as Loren

90 Day Fiancé star, the infamous Big Ed Brown.

Like Loren, Ed was considered one of the biggest 90 Day Fiancé villains of his time. Viewers began to dislike Ed when they saw how he treated Rose on Before The 90 Days Season 4. Ed embarrassed Rose on numerous occasions by telling her that she had bad breath and that he wanted her to shave her legs. Later on, during his relationship with Liz, fans felt that Ed wasn’t respectful toward her either. Ed made controversial moves like breaking up with Liz out of nowhere and ultimately canceling their wedding behind her back.

There’s no doubt that Ed had bad moments but they weren’t as bad as Loren’s. For starters, Ed was always upfront with his partners about how he was feeling. While he said controversial things at times, he never blindsided anyone the way Loren did to Faith. Furthermore, Ed never cheated on any of his partners. Cheating is one of the worst things you can do in a relationship and Loren crossed a line with that.

To put it frankly, Ed wasn’t a great partner but Loren is a pretty terrible one. Ed did take accountability at times and even went to therapy to work on himself. Loren, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to have any remorse for his actions at all. Neither men are 90 Day Fiancé favorites but Ed is certainly miles above Loren.

Every Bombshell From Sister Wives Season 10 So Far

Sister Wives Season 10 bombshells.

Even though Sister Wives Season 10 was filmed two years ago and most of the Brown family drama has played out in real-time, a few bombshells are still being dropped. TLC cameras picked up as Janelle Brown and Meri Brown finally said goodbye to Kody Brown and followed in Christine Brown’s footsteps. Naturally, Kody is spiraling out of control when it comes to keeping his emotions in check. So even though the series is only three episodes into the new season, it’s interesting to note how many revelations have already been unearthed.

The Claddagh rings are off, and the Browns are spilling the tea on Sister Wives

Meri is no longer holding back when it comes to sharing her truth and interactions with Kody. For years, Meri has stood by Kody’s side in hopes of regaining a place in the family. But Kody just led the mother of one on, making it clear there was no hope for a reconciliation. But Meri is finally getting her own revenge as she opened up to viewers in Season 19. In the season premiere, Meri noted, “He led me to believe that he would work on things by saying, ‘Oh Meri, when we move to Flagstaff, this will be a good time to have a new beginning for us. Like he led me to believe those things. This is what he’s done for many, many years.”

This marked the first time that Meri complained about Kody’s behavior. She explained that her main complaint was “his lack of communication and how he really felt and what he really wanted or what he really didn’t want and the story that he’s been telling for all these years.” Kody didn’t apologize for his behavior, sharing, “I’m like, ‘Why would I do this?’ I would not court and date her now.” But instead of letting his words get to him, Meri noted just how happy she was to have walked away.

Kody Brown feels ostracised by his own family on Sister Wives Season 10

There is no denying that Kody has been isolated from his large polygamous family. But I would argue he has done that to himself. Kody opened up about his rifts, specifically with his older children. During a confessional, Kody revealed

“I don’t fit in the family anymore.” Kody also noted that he has been having beautiful family moments with Robyn Brown and their children. Kody shared, “And then I have some relationship with some of the other kids, and it’s infrequent. And so I’m like, what do I do with all of this? It doesn’t feel like a family.” This marked one of the first times that Kody brought up his older children. Usually, when asked, he opts not to discuss their fighting.

Kody Brown and Robyn Brown are not doing well in their marriage

There was never any question that Robyn Brown was Kody’s favorite wife. Maybe it was because she was ten years younger or the fact that she always backed him up during arguments. But Season 19 shows the couple walking on thin ice. The past 14 years have been wedded bliss, but Kody has become a bit of a curmudgeon after losing three wives. And while Kody is happy with monogamy, Robyn never dreamed about not having her sister wives around. She shared, “We’re probably doing the worst we’ve ever done in our marriage. It’s been tough between us. He doesn’t know who to blame, himself or one of the other wives. Kody’s feeling a lot of rejection, and so I think he’s kind of looking at me going, ‘Are you going to reject me too?’”

Poor Robyn stated, “I’m on my toes. I’m having to consistently make sure that he is not sabotaging our relationship. There’s no resource to help with the idea that I’m still married to a man who’s going through divorces.” Meanwhile, Kody shared he was struggling to “look myself in the mirror and say, ‘Hey, dude. I love you.’”

Kody Brown never loved Meri Brown

In a blunt confessional, Kody lamented about his time with Meri as his 32nd wedding anniversary approached. Meri wasn’t happy with his revelation as she repeated, “He was alluding to the fact that he never loved me, and he felt like he had to marry me. And I said to him, I said, ‘Kody,’ I said, ‘I know you loved me.'”

The B&B owner added, “When a single young man meets a single young woman, why would he choose to marry her and just affirm and force love for her when he didn’t love her? How cruel is that? To pick me out of a crowd and just be like, ‘I pick you to try to force myself to love for the next 32 years’?” As Season 19 has only gotten underway, there will most likely be even more revelations from the broken family. But so far, the episodes have been juicy.

Which 90 Day Fiancé Shows Can We Expect Next?

What's up next for the 90 Day Fiancé franchise?

No matter what time of year it is, 90 Day Fiancé fans know that their favorite franchise always has something to air. In recent years, 90 Day Fiancé has created so many spin-offs that two seasons often air at the same time. For instance, 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Season 6 has been airing every Monday night since July. On the other hand, 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days Season 7 hits viewers screens every Sunday.

TLC has only been airing double seasons for a few years, which can only mean one thing. The franchise now has so much 90 Day Fiancé content that they need to get it out fast to delay excessive wait times. While the network used to release seasons in a particular order, they have deviated from that as of recently. It’s hard to say exactly which 90 Day Fiancé seasons will air in the upcoming months. These four, however, have a good chance of being next.

90 Day: The Last Resort Season 2

90 Day: The Last Resort was a huge hit with 90 Day Fiancé fans last summer. The new spin-off featured five couples from the franchise who underwent two weeks of therapy to try to fix their relationships. To make things even crazier, the couples all stayed together at the same resort during the counseling. This made for some intense drama after hours, which was quite entertaining to watch. In the end, some couples decided to keep trying, while others went their separate ways.

A second season of The Last Resort has been rumored to be in the works for some time now. It would make sense for TLC to keep the spin-off going, as it was very well received. It’s been over a year since the debut season of The Last Resort premiered, so it would make sense for another to come soon. Furthermore, since the show has more of a summer theme, it would probably air this fall rather than this winter.

90 Day Fiancé Season 11

The original 90 Day Fiancé series is a classic that could never be overshadowed by its spin-offs. 90 Day Fiancé follows individuals from other countries who move to America to marry their partners. The OG series served as the building block for all of the others and is always fun to watch. One of the best things about this series is that it typically features an entirely new cast, which is always a breath of fresh air.

Chronologically speaking, 90 Day Fiancé Season 11 should certainly be coming up soon. The OG series is one of the four main series along with Before The 90 Days, The Other Way, and 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?. Before The 90 Days and The Other Way are currently airing and Happily Ever After? Season 8 recently finished. It’s been almost a year since the premiere of 90 Day Fiancé Season 10, so Season 11 coming soon would make sense.

90 Day: The Single Life Season 5

90 Day: The Single Life is another addicting 90 Day Fiancé spin-off. The Single Life features a handful of former cast members whose relationships have since gone awry. Sometimes the cast members use the season to date around, while others focus on one specific potential relationship. The Single Life doesn’t discriminate, as both American and international cast members are included. Furthermore, The Single Life sometimes casts individuals who weren’t even main cast members in previous seasons.

The Single Life Season 4 premiered on New Year’s Day and wrapped up in April. TLC typically releases new seasons of The Single Life at a quicker pace than some of the other spin-offs. The Single Life Season 5 should be starting sooner rather than later, possibly even later this year. Several 90 Day Fiancé relationships have gone south in the last few months, so there are plenty of new singles to cast. It will be interesting to see who is chosen, as well as how their new love stories will transpire.

90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Season 7

The Other Way is one of the most captivating 90 Day Fiancé spin-offs. Unlike the OG series, The Other Way follows Americans who move abroad to be with their international partners. This brings a whole new set of challenges and is always interesting to watch. While The Other Way Season 6 is currently airing, recent history suggests Season 7 may come sooner than we think.

In 2023, The Other Way Season 5 premiered merely weeks after Season 4 ended. As Before The 90 Days Season 6 was also airing at this time, Season 5 came on Mondays with only one-hour episodes. This was a strange move from TLC. The only thing that makes sense would be that they wanted to get seasons of The Other Way out faster due to a backlog. Season 6 came less than a year after Season 5 finished, so Season 7 may be coming in the next few months as well.

Jersey Shore’s Angelina Pivarnick Pleads Guilty to Disorderly Conduct After Domestic Violence Incident

Angelina Pivarnick at an MTV event.
Photo Credit: Santiago Felipe via Getty Images

Jersey Shore is trending, as Angelina Pivarnick has just pled guilty to a charge that transpired several months ago. Last June, the cops visited Angelina and her fiancé, Vinny Tortorella, at their shared New Jersey residence. When the police arrived, they realized this was a domestic dispute situation. While Vinny was present, it is still unclear if he was the victim since the police complaint only states that the victim, whose name was redacted, suffered “bodily injury” due to Angelina “striking him with her hands/fists causing scratches, redness, and complaint of pain to the victim’s hands.” This tale is messy, but thankfully, it is over.

Jersey Shore is back in the news, as Angelina Pivarnick pleads guilty to a disorderly conduct charge

Last June, James J. Leonard Jr., aka Teresa Giudice’s longtime lawyer, took on Angelina as his client. This case is not his first Jersey Shore rodeo. James also entered the Jersey Shore chat in 2023 after Angelina called the police to her home following a different alleged altercation.

“After speaking with the officers, Angelina decided not to file charges,” James said. This time, her charges included “simple assault, criminal mischief, obstructing the administration of law, and resisting arrest.” If you ask James, this new situation was “exacerbated by an adverse reaction to prescribed over-the-counter medication.”

As reported by the Asbury Park Press, Angelia arrived for her hearing on October 1, 2024. Her victim requested a dismissal for several of her charges. These charges include obstruction of the administration of law, resisting arrest, simple assault, and criminal mischief.

These dropped charges left Angelina with a disorderly conduct offense, which she decided to plead guilty to. Judge Nicole Sonnenblick then ruled for a conditional dismissal of this charge once Angelina meets her probational requirements. If the ever-scrappy Angelina meets these requirements, her guilty plea gets expunged. Hello, better-looking government records.

James then spoke with Page Six, stating that he and his client are happy with the outcome of this case. I bet.

While Angelina has yet to comment on this win of sorts, her latest post on Instagram is a bit of a tell. “New beginnings,” she penned, looking like a thirst-trapping queen.

As for Vinny, he was not present for this hearing. He has not released any statements on this matter either.

From cheating rumors to the involvement of the police, this relationship is a mess. Even still, I wish them both well.

Ashley Darby Reacts to Joel Kim Booster’s Outburst About Shannon Beador

Ashely Darby looking shocked on WWHL.
Photo Credit: Charles Sykes/Bravo via Getty Images

Real Housewives of Potomac star Ashley Darby is speaking her truth regarding the recent Love Hotel drama with Shannon Beador. Love Hotel is a new dating show with a twist: its stars are Real Housewives. Yes, please! Ashley, Shannon, Gizelle Bryant, and Luann de Lesseps all took part in the experience. What could go wrong? Well, according to the host of the show, Joel Kim Booster, everything went wrong with Shannon. And Ashley was “shocked” to hear Joel’s accusations.

Ashley Darby said Joel Kim Booster’s posts “caught all of us completely out of left field”

It’s only natural for the cast to bond when filming a show together. It’s likely Ashley and Shannon formed a strong connection over their past tumultuous relationships. So it comes as no surprise that Ashley was shook to hear what Joel said about her new friend.

In now-deleted posts, Joel went off about his experience filming with Shannon. Queens of Bravo shared some of the gems he wrote about her. He said Shannon was “a pathetic drunk on a reality television show” and that “does not give you license to treat the people you work with like they are subhuman.”

Entertainment host Ricky Cornish interviewed Ashley to get her thoughts on what went down. He asked, “Is there any reaction you have from seeing Joel’s posts online? Since you were there filming Love Hotel and got to work with Shannon on the show.”

Ashley responded, “Yeah, I mean obviously that actually came out the day that we were leaving. So, that caught everybody completely by surprise. And out of respect for Shannon, who, we’re very communicative, all of us. Luann, Gizelle, Shannon, and myself are very communicative about how to handle this. We want to be really sensitive to Shannon.”

She then shared she couldn’t believe what had happened. Ashley continued, “Just to say that it was quite shocking. Very shocking. And Joel, I gave him props. He did a great job on the show, as you’ll see. But that was quite surprising. Caught all of us completely out of left field.”

The Real Housewives of Potomac is streaming on Peacock.

Survivor 47, Episode 3 Recap: Belly of the Beast

Survivor 47, Episode 3 recap.

Episode 3 of Survivor 47 aired tonight on CBS. The episode titled “Belly of the Beast” was 90 minutes of pure chaos. Alliances shifted, players made tough choices, and the cattiness reached new heights.

If you missed tonight’s episode, we’ll bring you up to speed.

Here is everything you missed on Episode 3 of Survivor 47 …

Tension rises within the Survivor 47 tribes

Tonight’s episode began with the Tuku tribe discussing the previous Tribal Council. TK was voted off the Island after pissing off some of his tribemates with his machismo attitude.

Over at Gata’s camp, tension was building between Anika and Sam. He was annoyed by her alpha attitude and her need to control the tribe. Right now, Gata is composed of two duos, and Andy, who is on the sidelines waiting to be picked up by one of them. Anika has Rachel and Sam has Sierra.

While Gata is far from one big happy family, they are functioning better than the Lavo tribe, who are about ready to throw Rome into the ocean. They are so annoyed by him and I don’t blame them. It’s like if you had to be around an annoying roommate 24/7 while also starving and sleep-deprived. Yeah, that doesn’t sound like an ideal situation.

Rome certainly has strengths in the game. He’s good at fishing and he already secured an Immunity Idol. However, his overconfidence and lack of social skills will be the death of him. Rather than sharing his fish with his tribe, he ate most of the food and gave them the scraps. This pissed off Aysha, giving her more reason to want to vote him out.

New alliances are made on Survivor 47

At Gata’s camp, Sierra is trying to bring Andy into her alliance with Sam. She doesn’t fully trust him but sees the value of having another number on their side. To gain their trust, Andy lets her “borrow” his Shot In the Dark. I don’t know how to feel. The move does seem to win him some brownie points with her but it is just such a risky move for someone on the bottom. It could work out in his favor but it could also go horribly wrong. I’m still mad at him for not taking that Immunity Idol last episode.

Over at Tuku, Kyle expressed concern about his place in the tribe after TK’s elimination. He was on the wrong side of the vote last Tribal. Gabe, noticing Kyle’s precarious placement in the tribe, reached out and provided him with some crucial game information. He told his tribemate he wanted to work with him and warned him about Sue and Caroline’s close relationship. In a confessional, Gabe bragged about having Kyle in his back pocket and mocked his loyal nature.

Well, he was wrong because it took about 30 seconds for Kyle to betray him. Kyle used the information to paint a target on Gabe’s back, telling Sue and Caroline that Gabe views them as his “goats.” It was a solid gameplay strategy. I like what I’ve seen from Kyle so far and I’m hoping he continues on this path. Unfortunately for him, Sue did not take the bait. She brushed off the conversation and stated she didn’t want to talk game. Nothing annoys me more than a castaway saying they don’t want to talk game. That is the whole point of being here, Sue.

Three castaways go on a journey for power

Now it’s time to send one castaway from each tribe on a journey in the hopes of securing an advantage. Kyle is going for Tuku, Rome is representing Lavo, and Anika is Gata’s pick. The three castaways do a bit of game talk on the journey. Rome is delighted that Tuku decided to vote out TK because he “couldn’t stand his ego.” Ah, the irony. Rome that is how your tribe feels about you! Rome tells them that Aysha and Sol are running his tribe and that he’s on the bottom. In a confessional, he explains that he wants to paint a target on Sol and Aysha’s back. It’s honestly a pretty good move. He’s getting ahead of himself but if he makes it to the merge, he’ll have two people who see him as a lone castaway with no strong ties to his tribe. I see the vision.

What happened at the summit?

Once they arrive at the summit, the three castaways break apart to discover the risk or reward challenge. Here’s how it works. They will each reach into a bag that has three packages inside. Two of the packages contain a Lose Your Vote, one package contains an advantage. If the castaway pulls out a Lose Your Vote, they can choose to pick again. If they pull out a second Lose Your Vote, they will not be able to vote for the next two Tribal Councils.

Anika and Sam both pull a Lose Your Vote package. They decide not to pick again and accept losing their vote for one Tribal Council. Rome gets an advantage, which turns out to be a Steal a Vote. Damn, he’s such a lucky player.

The castaways return to camp to fill in their tribemates on the journey. Anika lies and says she had a choice to risk her vote and she decided not to partake. Later, she tells the truth to Rachel and Sierra, which I think is a mistake. She can trust Rachel but Sierra is more loyal to Sam, who doesn’t like her. It doesn’t look good for Anika at this point.

Rome tells Aysha he lost his vote but she isn’t buying it. He tells the truth to Teeny, Genevieve, and Kishan.

Who went home on Episode 3 of Survivor 47?

Gata and Tuku won Immunity during the challenge, which means Lavo is headed for their first Tribal Council. Teeny and Kishan know about Rome’s Immunity Idol and his Steal a Vote, so they decide they can’t vote him out quite yet. The target lands on Aysha and Sol with the group leaning towards Sol. Rome has a talk with Sol to try to convince him he’s not the target. The conversation is bizarre and Sol clocks him right away. Rome is convinced he’s a mastermind who has Sol eating out of the palm of his hand. In a confessional, he compares his strategic ability to that of Survivor legend Boston Rob. Oh boy, the internet is going to eat him alive for that. Never compare yourself to Boston Rob. That is like Survivor 101.

Teeny likes Aysha and wants to work with her, so she tries to convince her that Sol has to be the vote tonight. She says that Rome will use his Immunity Idol to protect Genevieve. Aysha is stubborn and says she doesn’t want to vote out Sol. Now Teeny and Kishan view Aysha as not adaptable and are more willing to vote her out. At Tribal, she becomes the third person booted from Survivor 47. Brutal.

I didn’t want either Sol or Aysha to go this week. I will say, I’m interested in seeing more of Sol. He’s had a bit of an invisible edit and I’m glad I get to see him play longer.

Survivor 47 continues Wednesdays on CBS.

Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon File Request for Reconsideration in Eminem Trademark Battle

The battle of the blondes continues between Gizelle Bryant, Robyn Dixon, and Eminem. The Real Housewives of Potomac stars tried to trademark the name of their podcast, “Reasonably Shady.” However, the rapper said not today, as he is the true shade assassin. It was also recently ruled that Eminem would not have to be deposed to court for the matter. But Gizelle and Robyn are taking a cue from Eminem’s song “Won’t Back Down” and have filed a request for reconsideration to get him into the courtroom.

Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon argue Eminem’s “deposition is critical”

Eminem was on his way to victory regarding the “Reasonably Shady” trademark battle when it was ruled he would not have to be deposed. The best the ladies were going to get was his manager, Paul Rosenberg. While it’s been a long battle for the duo, they are not giving up. Gizelle and Robyn are trying again to get Eminem to sit for a deposition.

In Touch Weekly reported the details of their request for reconsideration. Their reasoning for the request was that it was “critical.” They said, “Mr. Mathers’ deposition is critical in determining ownership, validity of rights, state of mind that pertains to fame, along with actual confusion issues, and current use.”

They continued, “By limiting [Gizelle and Robyn] recourse to only deposing a third party witness, and not the [Eminem] himself, and then being forced to respond to a Motion for Summary Judgment where a number of facts will remain in dispute because [Gizelle and Robyn] were not given an opportunity to depose [Eminem], [Gizelle and Robyn] will be denied the opportunity to present a full-throated defense to [Eminem’s] premature motion.”

During their first go around, their request for Eminem to be deposed was denied. It was reported that they had “failed to “demonstrate that” Eminem’s “deposition, rather than (or in addition to) Mr. Rosenberg’s deposition, is needed to respond to the summary judgment motion, particularly given Mr. Rosenberg, not [Eminem], provided the declaration supporting the motion.”

It will be interesting to see if any of this will be covered in the upcoming season of RHOP.
