Tom Schwartz Estimates Scandoval Cost Him 80% of Bar’s Business

Photo Credit: Monica Schipper/Bravo via Getty Images

Nothing was a more concrete illustration of how the public felt about Tom Sandoval than the hit his business took. Schwartz & Sandy’s, the bar he opened with Vanderpump Rules star Tom Schwartz, was effectively “canceled” by fans angered by his affair with Rachel Leviss.

Schwartz & Sandy’s was boycotted and flooded with poor reviews. Now, Schwartz is talking numbers. And in a recent interview, revealed exactly how much of a hit his revenue stream took.

Schwartz called the fallout “a spectacle”

“This year almost broke me,” Schwartz exclusively revealed to Entrepreneur. “I’m glad we persevered, [but] there was a moment there I wasn’t sure if we were going to.”

“Our names are on the side of this building, which comes with a certain responsibility,” Schwartz added. “I’ve never experienced such a concentrated dose of negativity, especially online. It was a spectacle.”

Indeed, Schwartz often spoke of the toll public wrath took on him. It wasn’t just the emotional reaction, but a fear of losing his business.

Entrepreneur asked him what the “immediate effects of the real-time fallout” were.

Schwartz’s business partner, and long-time restauranteur Greg Morris was also on hand to discuss the numbers. When the bar first opened in November 2022, they were pulling a “modest 60% of the revenues forecasted.” The coming weeks saw consistent growth.

“Immediately following Scandoval, though, we saw a quick rise in business, but it was short-lived,” Greg explained. “After experiencing a 30% increase in our revenue numbers within four to five weeks, we watched as our numbers declined precipitously. Week after week we watched the numbers tumble, sometimes down 50% per week. At our lowest, we dropped approximately 80% of our business.”

Schwartz added, “People really rallied against us. We discussed rebranding or temporarily shutting down.”

“Keyboard critics” were relentless, according to the VPR star. The restaurant went from “great reviews” of “4.6 stars” to around “2.5 stars.”

“It’s really detrimental to businesses — cancel culture and keyboard critics. It was such a bizarro world experience to be in. People were irate; they were fired up. Things got dark and weird,” Schwartz said.

What’s next for Schwartz & Sandy’s?

Now that the eatery is out of the red, Schwartz has a “newfound sense of optimism and excitement.” And that translates into a refresh at Schwartz & Sandy’s.

“We’re working on new food right now, new drinks, and a new music program. We’re going to do some subtle redesigns, we’re also working on something to tie all these [VPR] places together. People call it the “Vandercrawl,” so we’re putting together a little tour for Tom Tom, Jax’s Studio City (owned by former castmate Jax Taylor), and Schwartz and Sandy’s. It’s in motion, and I think people are going to really dig it. It’s going to be special,” Schwartz revealed.

Catch Vanderpump Rules Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.

The GOAT Episode 4 Recap: Don’t Trigger Hurricane Kristen

We’re back in the GOAT Manor for Episode 4 of Prime Video’s The GOAT. Last week featured Da’Vonne as the show’s head b*tch in charge. However, it looked like she let the power get to her head, causing Wendell and the rest of the guys to blindside her. So, will she be on the chopping block this week? Or will another plan be set in motion? Here’s everything that went down on The GOAT, Episode 4: The Hurricane.

Who is The GOAT in Episode 4?

Wendell Holland was named The GOAT in Season 1, Episode 4.

For this week’s challenge, the contestants paid homage to all of the medical reality shows out there. Thanks, Botched. Host Daniel Tosh explained the rules, which involved the players popping a balloon that looked like a pimple on a cut-out face. If their balloon had blue goo, they were safe and made it to the next round. However, they’re eliminated from the competition if yellow puss is released.

Of course, whoever wins will have immunity and will pick the teams for the elimination challenge. So, a lot is riding on this, especially after some of the ladies felt Da’Vonne tried to sabotage their games.

As the reality stars go, they’re popping the pimples left and right. Some people like Reza, Joe, Teck, and CJ got blue goo on their first round. Justin, though, was blasted with yellow puss, sending them to the outskirts. Da’Vonne’s turn arrived, and luck wasn’t on her side during this comp because she also popped a pimple with yellow puss.

Eventually, the final round consisted of Kristen, Wendell, Joe, and CJ, with one blue balloon left. As you can imagine, the moment was tense due to Episode 3’s drama during the elimination ceremony. Kristen was up first, and although she really needed this win, she chose incorrectly.

Next was Wendell, and he crushed CJ and Joe’s chances of winning because he chose the right balloon, making him this week’s GOAT. Typically, that’d come with safety, but this week, Wendell was tempted with $5,000 to give that up … and he took it.

The elimination challenge details…

For the elimination challenge, Wendell was tasked with picking the teams. In his confessional, he told producers that he wanted slightly even teams. However, he wanted to skew his team in his favor.

On his side, he chose Jason, Joe, CJ, and Da’Vonne (Team Purple), leaving the remaining contestants to make up Team Orange.

Reza wasn’t happy about the teams, saying not being picked for Wendell’s team doesn’t feel good when they’re supposed to be homies.

For the challenge, one contestant on each team had to lead the remaining players through a maze while blindfolded. Da’Vonne was the captain for Team Purple, while Justin was the captain for Team Orange. Throughout the challenge, Team Purple had the edge, as Da’Vonne made sure her team would be able to hear her. Team Orange, on the other hand, just couldn’t get it together. Justin wasn’t loud enough, and Kristen kept saying she couldn’t hear. All of their back-and-forth didn’t help. In fact, it wasted time because as they were frolicking around, Team Purple snagged the victory.

So, Da’Vonne, Wendell, Joe, CJ, Jason, and Jill (because she had to sit out) are safe for the week, and somebody else is getting ready to go home.

Who went home in The GOAT Episode 4?

Kristen Doute was the fourth reality star eliminated from The GOAT Season 1.

The losing team began strategizing to see who should go home. Many felt it should be Kristen since she dropped the ball during the maze challenge.

Kristen discussed the moment with Jill and Da’Vonne. They tried to help her create a plan to shift the target from her to Reza. The former Vanderpump Rules star brought the news to Wendell, however, he told her that she needed to secure enough votes before he would flip.

It was time for the house to vote. The final tally was eight votes for Kristen and three for Reza. Kristen was the next reality star exiled from GOAT Manor.

Kristen called the men out for being “threatened” by the women. “You guys are so scared of the women that you need to have men majority ruling the house. You’re not playing fair. Is that your version of mansplaining,” she said.

She shouted out the women on her way out but told CJ that she was “the worst of the worst.”

“This is about you taking the men’s side not only in this house but in this world.” Whew. Get her, Kristen. CJ is a snooze fest.

In the house, Reza was talking sh*t about Kristen after she’d left. “She just got thrown out of the house, don’t kick her while she’s down,” Jill told Da’Vonne. “He’s ranting and raving. We’ve gotta get Reza out because he’s toxic, and I don’t want toxicity.”

Operation Blindside Reza is in full effect.

The GOAT airs on Prime Video every Thursday.

Most Iconic RHONY Moments in Sonja Morgan’s NYC Townhouse

Sonja Morgan
Photo Credit: John Nacion/Variety via Getty Images

Why do I love Sonja Morgan? Let me count the ways. Sonja is a legend when it comes to OG Real Housewives New York in her own right. I’d argue Sonja is the fan favorite of the franchise due to her flirty nature and, at times, unrealistic lifestyle. Between her ingenious toaster cooker and lousy luck when it came to dating, mainly because her friends would lure them away, Sonja was easy to root for. Sonja is one of the only housewives who genuinely cares, as you can witness from her performance on Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake. Without missing a beat, she assimilated to who she was at her core.

So it stands to reason that Sonja’s beloved townhouse holds a special place in viewers’ hearts, mainly because of some outstanding moments. Between raising her daughter, hosting the ladies, and teaching a generation’s worth of interns, the townhouse was a character of its own in the series. I am still wondering why Bravo didn’t think to purchase the Real Housewives landmark, but here is our small tribute to the home.

Sonja’s dirty laundry

One moment that lives rent-free inside my head was when Sonja was filmed washing her delicates inside her bidet. Now, she has done this trick more than once, but the first time was in her beloved home. While chatting with her boyfriend, Frenchie, the mother of one, carried multiple sets of thongs not to her laundry room but to her bathroom. Viewers got an in-depth look at Sonja’s pantie draw as she threw it all into her bidet. It turns out the bidet has many uses. In a way only Sonja could pull off, she scrubbed her knickers hard as she prepared for her romantic evening, leaving fans to wonder if we, too, needed a bidet in our lives.

Construction Sonja

Even though Sonja is always looking for ways to better herself, she was not a fan when, during Season 10, the condo had to have a facelift. Everything—and I mean everything—was covered in a plastic tarp that almost made the home look like a staging scene from Dexter. Sonja was doing the best she could to survive as she slept in her four-pillar bed, surrounded by her nearest possessions. While talking to herself, Sonja noted she was “so allergic to all this dust” and tried to figure out when the end date would be. Poor Sonja was left to her own devices as she ate cereal in bed, sharing that she “couldn’t find her underwear, but that is okay.” She also tried her best to protect her famed closets. It became evident that Sonja was not made for a world of remodels.

Sonja’s organization was less than perfect as she stumbled upon a jury duty notice. But like the princess she is, Sonja made it through the trying time thanks to laughter and a little help from Tinsley Mortimer, who lent her a hotel room.

Sonja’s gaggle of interns

Sonja and her interns are synonymous with the famed townhouse. Each year, a group of fresh-faced co-eds would earn college credit by being one of Sonja’s busy bees. The duties of an intern would be lighting candles to get rid of bad energy, turn on the sprinklers, pick up dog poop, take notes during all important meetings. In turn, Sonja teaches them life lessons like living without hot water to save money. And to clear her social media of all haters.

But perhaps my favorite scene was Sonja, in heels and glam, showing her newest interns how to clean out the Koi pond, saving her a whopping $250. It was often a rotating door of interns since most only lasted for a semester. Sonja is a savvy businesswoman who knows exactly what she wants. The trait is commendable and probably has helped a lot of East Coast kids grow into some pretty decent adults. During one episode, Sonja shared that her interns get a small spending allowance and a place to crash some nights.

Sadly, it’s the end of an era for Sonja and her townhouse. On May 15, Sonja’s home will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. Let’s just hope a Bravo fan wins.

Former RHOBH Star Annemarie Wiley Calls Crystal Kung Minkoff ‘Pure Evil’

Photo Credit: Nicole Weingart/Bravo via Getty Images

Season 13 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ended weeks ago, but Annemarie Wiley seems to have missed that memo. She is still going after Crystal Kung Minkoff on social media with the fervor of an active Housewife. This time, the shade involved the infamous 14 friends who supposedly dumped Crystal after she got cast on RHOBH. It’s old news for everyone but Annemarie.

Annemarie is at it again

Talking about Crystal has become a bit of a hobby for Annemarie and her husband Marcellus Wiley after Bravo axed them from RHOBH. They’ve both thrown jabs at Crystal for various reasons. Annemarie even fought with a parody account thinking it was the real Crystal. In her latest tirade, she ranted to her 900 followers about how she met one of Crystal’s old friends.

Annemarie wrote, “I met another one of the ’14 friends’ that dropped her tonight. Whew! What she did to them was pure evil.”

She continued, ” When you live your life lying and trying to ruin other people’s lives, it will all eventually catch up to you. You can’t avoid karma. Live accordingly, friends.”

At this point, this whole storyline is a thing of the past. We’ve heard a million stories about why Crystal got booted from her old friend group. She also just got booted from RHOBH, so who really cares? Apparently, Annemarie does, even though she didn’t spill any new details about what actually transpired between Crystal and the old friend group.

It’s clear that Annemarie was hoping for a big reaction from RHOBH fans when she shared this online. Instead, the replies were overwhelmingly on Crystal’s side. Most people seemed to agree that it was time for Annemarie to move on from this. Everyone else already has.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is available to stream on Peacock.

EXCLUSIVE: OMG Fashun Episode 3, Winner’s Walk Interview With Meagan “Jersey” Cruz

Another week has come and gone, which can only mean one thing. Two new episodes of E!’s OMG Fashun have dropped. In Episode 103, called “Sexual Wellness,” we meet Meagan “Jersey” Cruz, our next winning Disruptor. Wearing her own designs for filming, Meagan immediately won the favor of her judges. In fact, Julia Fox, Law Roach, and Violet Chachki all agreed that Meagan could design for them any ole time that she pleases.

In looking through Meagan’s Instagram, her talents are clear. Likewise, so is her nod to upcycling, which makes her the perfect candidate for this series. Adding on to her resume, she just showed us all even more of her incredible talents over on E!. Now, she’s joining Reality Tea’s writer Amy DeVore to further dish on all things OMG Fashun.

Meagan’s first impressions

Amy DeVore: You said that designing for Julia was a dream come true. Was the filming process everything that you’d dreamed of?

Meagan “Jersey” Cruz: It was surreal. Just being in the same room with Law and Julia, and even meeting Law’s stylist and Violet, all of them just being right across from me was like a dream come true. Julia has always been my number one person that I think would wear my stuff. So, it’s crazy how it all just came together.

Amy: How did you end up on this series?

Meagan: Well, when the opportunity came, I just said yes, and everything ended up working out. I also want to say that it was fate. My mom died a couple of years ago, and she was my biggest supporter. So I honestly feel like she has a lot to do with what’s going on in my life right now. I have an ancestor-like Angel on my side. You know what I’m saying?

Amy: I do. And I think that you likely made your mother incredibly proud of you in turn.

*Insert virtual hugs.

The tie

Amy: For your first challenge, you had to transform a white tee. All of the judges were fans of your design. So much so that you won this challenge. But, your win came in the form of a tie. You weren’t thrilled on this, which I get. Walk me through your emotions that day.

Meagan: I feel that mine was styled really well. I mean, all of them were good. I just believe in myself a lot. And I thought that mine was the best. But, it did kind of get in my head about the next challenge, because I’m thinking that maybe Jessica has an up on me.

Amy: How were you able to overcome that?

Meagan: It was just tunnel vision. I just needed to get to work and get in there. But even in the workroom, I was watching, seeing her and what she was doing, and it made me nervous.

Meagan delivered on “Sexual Wellness”

Amy: Your episode was called “Sexual Wellness,” where you had to design a look for her pleasure. When you first heard this, what were your thoughts?

Meagan: I was actually pretty excited about it because I’m not squeamish or anything around sex toys and talking about sex. It was also funny, because the other contestant David was kind of shy about it. So the dynamic between me and him was just funny. It was almost giving Schitt’s Creek vibes, because I was like, ‘David!’ all the time.

*Insert this conversation going off of the rails, because Schitt’s Creek is my love language.

A now back on track Amy: On that same note of sexual ease, you asked your fellow Disruptors to play a little game. You called this a sexual never have I ever. Did you have a favorite response from this?

Meagan: David’s responses were all funny because he didn’t know how to answer some of the questions on dildos and sex toys. And also, Jessica is so shy to me, so hearing her talk about some things and then being like, wait, what?

The blindfolds and harnesses of it all

Meagan “Jersey” Cruz, OMG Fashun 103

Amy: When you opened up your safe to a blindfold, handcuffs, a nurse’s cap, latex paint, and a harness, you smiled. What was running through your mind?

Meagan: I liked it. The nurse cap kind of threw me off though, because it was a little costume-like. But I ended up picking the whole thing off and making it work in a fashionable way. The liquid latex threw me off too, but I used it to attach an emblem. It all worked out.

Meagan’s win and future plans

Meagan “Jersey” Cruz, OMG Fashun 103

Amy: When Julia announced that you’d won, you grew emotional. You said that this win validated your work. Talk to me about that.

Meagan: Well, I was self-taught, and I started out as an exotic dancer. I used to make dancer clothes, and then I started getting into swimwear and resort wear, and then I got more into the avant-garde stuff. Through the earlier parts of my career, I feel like I wasn’t respected, because my designs were too sexy. So it was just super validating to have people with opinions that actually matter to me be like, okay, this is good.

Amy: What’s also good is your winning check. What are you going to do?

Meagan: Pay down my credit cards and be responsible.

Meagan’s parting words

Meagan “Jersey” Cruz, OMG Fashun 103

Amy: Before we sign off, is there anything else you want to say?

Meagan: I’m really thankful for this opportunity because I feel like I don’t fit in with some of the norms. They’re giving me my first little step to step on, and I’m so grateful. I hope that other designers get inspired to make stuff out of whatever they have and post it online. #OMGFashun.

This interview was edited for conciseness and clarity.

Back-to-back episodes of OMG Fashun drop every Monday on E!, starting at 9:00 pm.

Who Is the Banker on Deal or No Deal Island?

Who is the Banker on Deal or No Deal Island

After weeks of intense speculation, the question of who is the Banker on Deal or No Deal Island has been answered. With Episode 12, and Part 2 of the finale airing on NBC, audiences got to meet the Banker as he met the final player of the season face-to-face, before battling against them at the Temple. So, who was the Banker on Deal or No Deal Island Season 1? Spoilers lie ahead for the Deal or No Deal Island finale…

Deal or No Deal Island Banker revealed

The Banker on Deal or No Deal Island is Howie Mandel.

While it was widely speculated that Howie would be revealed to be the Banker, it’s now been confirmed. The original Deal or No Deal host is the Deal or No Deal Island Banker. Howie arrived on a helicopter after being summoned by a flare, and immediately stepped into the persona of the Banker. He wasted no time in throwing barbs at Jordan Fowler, the last island guest standing.

He teased Jordan, saying he didn’t think she had what it takes to beat him and secure a good deal. In the end, however, she had the last laugh. She secured an incredible deal of $1,230,000, and had just $1,000 in her own case.

Unfortunately, her case didn’t contain the top prize of $13,857,000, which would have been the biggest prize in television history. What we also now know, however, is that another batch of contenders will get the chance to go up against the Banker on his private island, all hoping to take home a whopping cash prize.

Deal or No Deal Island will return for a second season on NBC.

Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard Season 2, Episode 8 Recap: You Get Too Handsy

Summer House: Martha's Vineyard Season 2, Episode 8 recap
Photo Credit: Scott Gries/Bravo via Getty Images

Who’s ready for another round of Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard? I know we are. The last episode left off with Bria arguing with her boyfriend, Simon Marco, after he embarrassed her during Nick’s party. She snatched him up by the (flamingo) neck, literally, and told him to begin packing his bags to hit the Oak Bluff’s hotel. Also, Amir’s girlfriend, Natalie Cortes, is still visiting, and instead of making shady comments about her boyfriend’s Black costars under her breath, this week, she turns into SHMV’s bone collector, causing tensions to reach another high. Here’s everything that went down in Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard Season 2, Episode 8: Gossip Girls.

Will Simon and Bria last?

Summer House: Martha's Vineyard Season 2, Episode 8

This season, Bria hasn’t been so over the moon about her long-distance relationship with the German watch designer, Simon. Although he finally made it to Martha’s Vineyard to spend time with his girlfriend, things have been a mess. The couple got into a massive argument last week after Simon blatantly disregarded one of Bria’s requests. After blowing up on him on the dance floor, Bria told Simon she no longer wanted to be with him and that he should pack his bags to hit the door.

Thankfully, she settled down and allowed the man to stay. The next day, they discussed their issues, and Simon told Bria how sad their argument made him. “You were so quick to say let’s end this relationship,” he said. “You tried to trigger me in every direction.”

Bria replied, telling him that he wasn’t a victim in this situation and reminded him that he ruined a night meant to celebrate Nick’s friend who passed away. “All I wanted was positivity, and love and support,” she said. “And you’re coming down and making a fool. It’s a black-tie event. His line brother died, and he had people from his college here. You had to see the way they were looking.”

In her confessional, Bria told producers that her biggest problem with Simon is that he doesn’t listen. “I think he thought he was just having fun and not realizing, like, this is a very special moment for us, dedicated to Nick’s line brother. It’s so disrespectful on all levels. It’s like, you don’t take me serious.”

Simon argued that Bria has also exhibited poor behavior during important events for him. He mentioned that in the past, Bria blew up on people he knew at a table. Bria shared her perspective, reminding Simon that she’s had uncomfortable experiences as a woman of color in Germany.

“You’re putting me in dangerous situations,” she said. “You are not seeing my feelings. … Me being a Black woman in Germany around people that were racist to me and were saying things to me, and you’re protecting them.”

“I know what the f*ck is going on, you’re blind to racism. Because you’re white, and you’re blind to it.” She shared more, telling Simon that even his family members said racist things about her to each other in German. “I’ve dated men that protect me,” she said. “You are not protecting me.”

They continued talking for a little while, and it seemed like Simon was gaslighting Bria. However, they finished their talk on a good note, and Bria said she was open to moving forward and seeing what’s next for them. “My relationship with Simon is worth salvaging because he’s always willing to give me a second chance even when I’m wrong.”

Why is Natalie in Black people’s business?

Outside, Bria was talking to Shanice, Noelle, and Amir’s girlfriend, Natalie, about how Nick’s girlfriend was upstairs when the party was over, but he was still downstairs “trying to get into something.” That led them to talk about how Nick’s eyes wander, which can sometimes lead to him being touchy.

Bria said she thinks it’s strange how Nick switches up when his girlfriend is around versus when she’s not. Noelle mentioned she would feel uncomfortable coming into a vacation home and not knowing how her man was acting “less than 48 hours ago.” Bria said Nick should be honest with his girlfriend about his interactions with many of the women in the house. “I wouldn’t call him a hoe, but he’s still been touchy/feely.”

“You can tell he wants to be wild,” Noelle said before she told producers what her “no-nos” are in a relationship. “Don’t drape your arm near her breasts, and don’t wrap your arms around her waist.” Of course, producers flashed a photo of Nick posing with Summer and Noelle from their Freaknik night, where his arm was around Noelle’s chest. “So, if Nick was single — no shame,” she said. “But the fact that he has a relationship and everybody knows … eh.”

All that to say, by the end of their talk, Natalie felt like it would’ve been a good idea for her to be the bone collector and carry this info back to Nick’s girlfriend before she left town.

When the group sat down for lunch, Natalie tried to pull her to the side, but she wasn’t interested in talking. “I just want to keep you in the loop before anything comes to your attention,” Natalie said. “I’m about to leave; it’s fine,” Tasia replied. “Thank you, though, I appreciate it.”

Nick faces off against Bria, Shanice, AND Noelle

Later in the episode, Nick found out that the heads-up Natalie wanted to give his girlfriend involved rumors that he’s been a little too touchy with the women in the house. He said that Jordan and Summer’s earlier comments made sense. However, Bria, Noelle, and Shanice’s statements don’t “make an ounce of sense.”

When the rest of the cast joined Nick in the kitchen, he couldn’t hold his anger back, and rightfully so.

He spoke to Noelle and Shanice first, who both said they didn’t believe his actions were that serious. “But we’ve just been noticing that your eyes have been wandering.”

Preston then asked why they brought it up to Tasia if they didn’t think it was serious. “I’m the one that brought it up,” Natalie said. She mentioned that because Tasia is her friend, she wanted to let her know what was being said before it aired on TV. Amir tried to save face for Natalie by saying she was honoring the “girl code.” Amir … please.

Finally, Bria entered the conversation, and she and Nick went at it. She told Nick that he’s been flirty with her at times, and editors threw in clips of Nick talking about Bria’s butt. She said that she wasn’t trying to be malicious by bringing it up, but when Nick drinks, he gets a bit “loose.”

TO BE CONTINUED.

Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard continues on Sundays at 9/8c.

Why Fans Are Not Emotionally Ready for the VPR Reunion

VPR
Photo Credit: Chelsea Guglielmino/Bravo via Getty Images

With the series season finale of Vanderpump Rules behind us, viewers have turned their sights to the reunion. The finale showed us a hot mic moment for the ages as production realized they bet on the wrong horse when hoping the Tom Sandoval redemption arc would work. Ariana Madix made her final stance at the Battle of the Whiskey Opening, noting that it wasn’t in her contract that she had to interact with her ex-boyfriend.

But as the dust settles, fans are brushing themselves off and trying to batten down the hatches emotionally as the reunion approaches. Without a doubt, it is going to be a night filled with tears, yelling, and gaslighting. I just hope all this emotional unrest is worth it.

It turns out Andy Cohen has a few tricks up his sleeves. He revealed that the last ten minutes of the finale were purposefully kept from the cast. This revelation rattles everyone, including Lisa Vanderpump, Sandoval, Tom Schwartz, Katie Maloney, Scheana Shay, Ariana, Lala Kent, James Kennedy, and Brock Davies. If the OGs are shaking in their boots, there isn’t any hope for the average viewer.

The reunion trailer is everything. Ariana wants Tom off the show, but Tom still feels like a victim. Fans have been through so much. Can we handle another crazy reunion?

Tom’s last stand

Once again, Tom will double down and get defensive when asked about his affair. I don’t know about you, but I am tired of the storyline. Yes, he decided to cheat for months. But at the end of the day, he didn’t murder anyone. In any normal circumstance, Ariana would walk away forever. I don’t think I am emotionally prepared to watch a grown man cry again.

The reunion will show multiple cast members calling Tom out for his poor interactions with the media. Throughout the entire season, Tom blasted his co-stars by trying to use Ariana’s mental health against her. For the last few months, viewers have watched as Bravo and Sandy tried to lean into the anti-hero vibe. But the mood never stuck. Tom’s lousy acting has been called out more times than I can count. If there was a Razzie to win, it would be Sandy’s time.

But the TomTom co-owner tried his best to land one last con as he told Ariana, “You know me well enough to know that this is not acting.” But Ariana quietly answers, “I don’t.” I have the literal chills! It’s like watching a psychological thriller.

Brock is VPR’s hero

I wasn’t prepared to root for Brock in any way. He never really moved me to cheer for him in the previous seasons. When fans first found out he was late on child support for his first two kids, we all wrote him off. At that point, all he was was a fancy accessory to Scheana. But Season 11 showed Brock and Scheana struggling within their marriage.

The couple has only been married two years, but at times, they seemed unable to stand one another. The reunion is set to have some hard-hitting questions regarding the turbulence. The sneak peek also showed Brock breaking down as he described the importance of his wife and daughter in his life. Brock is left with a puddle around his chair, making me already say, “I’m not crying! You’re crying!”

Final thoughts

Even though I enjoyed watching it, the reunion trailer was weird. It feels like it didn’t show a whole lot, which could be good or bad. But I do think long strands of boring commentary will follow moments of glory. I believe that hearing Jo Wenberg’s side of the bullying will be hard because, like it or not, she tugged at my heartstrings.

Watching Katie rip her apart at the San Francisco gathering wasn’t fun. I will most certainly grab tissues when Jo says her piece. The Vanderpump Rules three-part reunion seems very tense and emotional vs. explosive like the previous season, which is very different. I’m not sure if my little reality TV heart will be able to take it.
