Mariska Hargitay's Olivia Benson plays several different roles for many different people. She's the boss of the Special Victims Unit, she's mom to Noah, girlfriend to Tucker (yeah, get...I have to admit, I thoroughly enjoyed Dorinda Medley on Brandi Glanville‘s podcast. I mean, I could have done without Brandi’s voice, Brandi’s immaturity, and Brandi’s constant interruptions, but the rest was great. Dorinda was great.
Brandi gushes over Dorinda when she calls in and says she doesn’t like how much the Real Housewives of New York have come after her so far this season. Dorinda likens Real Housewives to a sorority: “At first, they kind of take you in, rush you, invite you to the great cocktail parties, then the hazing starts. First season, they get you all in there and let you get your feet wet. Second season is when everyone really tests your strength. A second season can be a make it or break it, personally and professionally.”
Brandi also takes issue with Dorinda‘s RHONY co-stars coming after John Mahdessian, “I think it’s really messed up, especially these women that don’t have men themselves. I feel like they’re just jealous that you’re actually happy.”

Dorinda talks about being married, then divorced and married, then widowed, adding, “People don’t understand that journey.”
Brandi thinks John just likes to have fun. “John’s very social,” agrees Dorinda. “The thing that bothers me – and I’ve said it in my blogs – I’ve never had dinner with these people with John. I’ve never gone to drinks with them. We don’t hang in the same places, so to make these pernicious accusations is based on speculation. And I think it is because we are both quite colorful.” That said, she admits, “Everyone likes to speculate…and it brings color to the show.”
Dorinda goes on to say that she only sees John two or three times a week. On one hand, she’s still trying to find herself since Richard’s death, but on the other hand, she thinks life should be multi-faceted. “I hate vanilla,” she says. “I am definitely experimental.”
On why she joined Real Housewives of New York, Dorinda acknowledges that she thought she had life figured out, then, BOOM. God had other plans. “I kind of woke up one day – Hannah‘s not home; Richard‘s certainly not home,” she laments. “I’m too young to do nothing and too old to do anything.”
Dorinda says the idea was always in the back of her mind, because she knew the cast, but the timing wasn’t right…until it was. “It was all about timing,” she admits. “I don’t have to worry about the things I had to worry about when I had a young child and a husband. If it doesn’t work out…it’ll be a good story.”

Hannah doesn’t share her mother’s sense of adventure, so needless to say, she wasn’t crazy about the idea of reality TV. Dorinda says Hannah has come to accept the show, in general, but she gets upset when she feels Dorinda is misrepresented. It’s been twenty seconds since Brandi talked about herself, so she chimes in. “They are only seeing a portion of who you are, and that’s what I was always frustrated with. Am I the drunk fun girl on the show? Yes, but I also raise two children, run a household, run businesses…but they don’t see that. It is hard when people only see that little bit.”
Dorinda tells Brandi, “In life, people are going to like you, people are not going to like you. It’s not really that different, it’s just on a much bigger scale. I tend not to listen to the noise. I don’t sit there, obsessing over my Instagram. I say my peace. I make my statements. I try to stay politically involved. I try to be diversified as much as I can on my social media – not just be focused on what party I’m going to or where I’m traveling to – and give people a wider look at me than just me being a Real Housewife of New York.”
Brandi wishes she were half as mature calls Dorinda “amazing” and “cool.”
“People tend to hang themselves; you don’t have to provide the rope,” adds Dorinda. “If you just sit back, stand still, and let it wash by you, it usually, on a whole, turns out positively. I think. I hope.” Brandi says she feels the need to fight the haters but claims she has learned that “fighting back does nobody any good.”
Dorinda admits she learned by drunk tweeting and deleting the next morning, adding, “But you have to watch it. I didn’t realize how powerful social media was. I just never did any social media so I just missed it a little bit, but my God, it’s powerful. I watched that show one night, How The Internet Ruined My Life, and I was like, Oh my God, that’s going to be me!”
Brandi goes on and on about how some other people are obsessed with social media. Not her. Nope. She’s above it. “I’m like, who cares about Twitter? You gotta walk away. They are so consumed by these outlets that don’t mean shit.”
“It’s a platform,” shares Dorinda. “You decide how you use that platform. It is what it is, but it is definitely a learning curve. Even this season, I’ve learned a lot. As much as I had to take my punches, I really grew again. That’s one of the reasons I did it. I thought, I’m going to put myself out there. I used it almost as therapy, because I’m not a good therapy person. I’m not a good person to go there every Thursday and sit for an hour and a half and talk about myself. I end up having them talk about themselves and they end up paying me at the end of it. For me, it was a great way to journey through my grief, introduce this new life, force myself to go out, put my makeup on every day. It got me going again. It introduced me to a whole new group of friends.”
Dorinda admits many of her old friends didn’t support her decision to join Real Housewives of New York, but those who stuck by her, often say that she is exactly the same person on and off TV. Brandi takes this opportunity to kick off a Bethenny Frankel bashing session.
“You’re very real,” Brandi says to Dorinda. “I feel like a lot of the other women, who have been doing the show a lot longer than you have, tend to jump in and create drama. They kind of invent it and it doesn’t even need to be there. Like, talking about stuff that happened off camera; that’s unnecessary.”
Dorinda shares, “That’s another thing I learned this season. I thought when we were off camera, we were kind of free and clear. Not that I did anything bad, but that was a new dimension to it, that people actually were talking about something that happened in the middle of the summer. I was like, OK, but now I gotta shift my game a bit.”
“They’re only hearing one side of it,” whines Brandi. “They’re hearing Bethenny say it, and everyone thinks Bethenny always tells the truth no matter what and she’s always right, and that drives me nuts because I don’t agree with that. It’s like, just because you’re saying it, doesn’t make it true. Everyone has a different story. If we can’t see it, I don’t want to hear about it.”

Dorinda says, despite what went down this season, she still really likes Bethenny. “She has got a very strong opinion and she puts it out there. She’s great TV, and you can’t take that away from her, the girl is made for reality TV.”
Brandi continues to complain about Bethenny. “I think, because she’s built her brand to be such a huge brand and she’s so successful, I think that she thinks whatever she says is God’s word. And I think the audience kind of sees that. Anyone who feels like that is going to be good to watch…it’s just not true.”
And…. Dorinda continues to defend Bethenny. “She’s a professional. She goes in there like a soldier – I think she does it with her personal life. I think she does it with her business. I think she does it as a mother. She’s all in. There’s no gray. She. Is. All. In. There’s something to be learned from that. She doesn’t go home at night and cry – I promise you.”
Brandi disagrees. She thinks Bethenny does cry when she’s alone, because Brandi cries, and they’re both Scorpios. Dorinda admits she weeps, but at the end of the day, as long as her family is OK, she’s OK.
The conversation circles back to being divorced vs widowed. Dorinda says she thinks divorce was easier. Brandi agrees, adding, “I wish mine had died…just kidding. Totally joking. I don’t want him to die, he is the father of my children, he could just get a really bad cold.”
Dorinda has nothing but good things to say about Jules Wainstein. When Brandi makes a dig about her weight, Dorinda says, “She talks about how she struggled with that and I’m very proud of her for doing that. You have to remember, she’s half Asian. <how could we forget?> Her mother’s built like that. She’s a hard core New Yorker – we don’t like to eat.”
Brandi says the Real Housewives of New York are the skinniest, which leads to a hilarious comment from Dorinda about the Real Housewives of Atlanta, “We know all the right things to wear. We’re not putting on some crazy outfit like they do on some of the other shows, that you shouldn’t be wearing ever, never mind when you’re 40. I’m talking about some of the crazy ones down in Atlanta. I don’t know what that stuff is.”
Dorinda asks Brandi how she met her current boyfriend, the Uber driver, and Brandi admits her friends spontaneously invited him to join them for an “after hours dance party” at Brandi‘s house. “I actually wasn’t super excited about him coming in, but then we just started making out.” Brandi goes on to say that she’s too busy for the relationship to be serious. “I’m spread in a lot of different directions, especially when she’s around.” <eye roll>
Dorinda says the Real Housewives of New York reunion films in July. “That is going to be a humdinger of a reunion. I think it’s going to be very interesting, very revealing. What people don’t realize…these people come in prepared, with notebooks and notes and things, and no one talks to each other.” She admits she was unprepared for her first reunion – she had idea it was so serious – but she already has two composition books filled with notes for the next one.
Well, hats off to Dorinda for refusing to take Brandi‘s constant “come down to my level and let’s trash everyone” bait. If you can stand forty minutes of Brandi, the podcast is worth a listen. I enjoyed Dorinda’s stories.

How about that reveal, y'all? The Flash's season two finale gave us an answer we've been craving for at least half of the season--among many, many other things--who, exactly,...Things are continuing to spiral for Reza Farahan and Shahs of Sunset co-star GG Gharachedaghi. This morning we shared a new interview that Reza Farahan gave to New York Live, explaining why he’s suddenly bashing GG, referring to her as a snake. In that interview he claimed that GG “jumped” him and Adam. Today he took to Instagram to elaborate on this – with photos, but then had a change of heart and quickly deleted it. A quick reader grabbed it all before it went poof!

Reza fired off on Instagram (before deleting), explaining his snake comments and not holding back about his loathing for Golnesa, “Why am I calling GG_golnesa an animal? here is the reason why. When you’re 35 years old, you have no job, no life, no class, no manners, and no impulse control, this is what you do. You jump your friends who are trying to help you. Luckily for GG, Adam got in front of me and her claws got him and not me. You’ll see for yourselves later in the season. If there was ever a bully it’s GG. Her parents didn’t teach her right from wrong and she doesn’t know that physical violence is not OK. She’s lucky we didn’t press charges and should be thanking Adam.” Reza really likes to go after the parents, doesn’t he? Earlier this week it was him ripping on MJ’s mom Vida, now it’s GG’s parents? A little sad considering they are all around 40 years old!

Speaking of deleting – GG was Tweeting to us this morning, blasting back at Reza, but has since deleted the Tweets (although she left a Retweet of a reply from us – and it’s her deleted Tweet we were responding to).
After seeing our article this morning, GG wrote, “@RealityTea don’t write stories from someone that would turn str8 just for a storyline. I was bullied until I broke. Watch the season til end.” She then added, “his personal life is so pathetic that each season he picks a new target out of his “friends” and bullies them for a storyline.” Well, Golensa does have a strong argument there – case(s) in point: MJ was his BFF and then he turned on her over the ridiculous pill-popper storyline, and he turned on former Bestie Lilly Ghalichi, too, after spending the previous season fawning over her.
Do you buy that these two are fighting? Do you think it’s the real deal or are they trying to cook up some drama off-screen to generate viewer interest?

Slay, slay, slay, Kyle Richards!! The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stepped out last night (with daughter Portia) for the premiere of “Alice Through the Looking Glass” and had a major red carpet win in this black jumpsuit!
Kyle Richards wasn’t the only reality star at the movie premiere – her RHOBH co-star Erika Jayne was there, as well as RHONY’s Sonja Morgan and DWTS pro Karina Smirnoff.
Over in NYC, the Real Housewives of New York and New Jersey made an appearance at the premiere of “Me Before You.” Among them: RHONY ladies past and present – Kristen Taekman, Kelly Bensimon, Ramona Singer, Jules Wainstein, and RHONY stars Kathy Wakile and husband Rich.

Someone in Todd Chrisley's family is making some changes and the proud patriarch can't handle it. In this exclusive sneak peek of tonight's all-new episode of Chrisley Knows...Hot mama Kandi Buruss has had quite the year! The Real Housewives of Atlanta star gave birth to a healthy son, Ace, with hubby Todd Tucker back in January. And since then, she’s been looking hotter than ever! Attributing her baby weight loss to breastfeeding, Kandi showed up (and showed out!) at the RHOA reunion, garnering admiration from most of her castmates about her postpartum bounce-back.
Now, Kandi is being celebrated in OK Magazine’s May issue as one of the “Top 10 Sexy Women of 2016!” No word on whether the Old Lady Gang is hating on Kandi’s center spread yet. (I kid, I kid…with love!) She gushed on Instagram, “Oh wow! @okmagazine chose me as one of their top 10 Sexy women of 2016 list! Awww thank you! Everybody support your girl & get a copy!”

In response to accusations that she’s used diet pills to achieve her new svelte look, Kandi defended herself on Instagram. “It’s crazy how people can just use your name for false advertisement. A few people asked me about a diet pill that they saw was advertised that had my name as a user. I have not used any diet pill to lose weight after my pregnancy. I’m still breastfeeding. I supplement with formula but I still breastfeed & there is no way I would take some weight loss drug when it could affect my child.”
Kandi added, “If you don’t see it come from me then don’t believe the hype!”

Trying to keep up with Kandi’s success her own weight in check, NeNe Leakes recently spoke out about her own body struggles. Swearing the camera adds 10 pounds, NeNe defends that she’s not plus-sized – she’s just curvy! Plus, she’s not up for dieting. The RHOA star claims, “It’s all about being mindful about what we eat and PORTION CONTROL. That’s the key…because hunni, we like to eat!”
Whether it’s Kenya Moore spreading her own bogus pregnancy rumors, Nene posting bikini pics, or Cynthia Bailey trying to keep the lid on her imploding marriage, the ladies of RHOA are always in the news.
But it seems Kandi got the good edit (in life!) this time. Because she’s rocking her new look with style. At least OK Magazine thinks so! 40 is looking fabulous on her!

Is there about to be drama in divorce land?! David Foster filed court papers denying that he be responsible for the spousal support requested by Yolanda Foster, now Hadid again, in her divorce filing.
David and Yolanda were married for four years, and they had a strict prenup. Despite this, when the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star filed for divorce in January, she requested spousal support and legal fees from David.

David has allegedly been paying Yolanda temporary support while their divorce settles, but E! News reports that the court papers he filed requested he not be liable for any support payments, and he also asked the court to decide against awarding payments to Yolanda. In case you are wondering, David is not seeking any support from Yolanda.
Rumors have swirled that Yolanda was livid that David was cutting her off. She just purchased a $5 million dollar condo, apparently with her portion of the proceeds from the sale of their Malibu mansion and also some assistance from David to “secure” the pad.

However, a source tells People that “there is no animosity” between David and Yolanda. “Both are happy with their arrangement; it was done and settled months ago.” I guess all that remains is settling things legally – and it looks like they are well on their way. You can always count on Reza Farahan to tell it like it is when it comes to the up and down relationships on Shahs of Sunset. It’s usually pretty difficult to tell where these people stand when it comes to their interactions. They can go from besties, to mortal enemies, to frenemies really damn quick.
With that said, I was pretty confused when Reza referred to Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi as a “snake” during a Watch What Happens Live episode. As far as I know from watching the season, he is a supportive member of Team GG and has been trying hard to help her get her life on track. Well, Reza is not done publicly hating on GG.

Reza was giving me life during a New York Live interview when he was asked about the GG comment he made on WWHL. In response to why he called her a “snake,” Reza took the metaphor even further when he said, “We’re like a group of friends, there’s like five friends, and we have this pet snake, and no matter how nice you are to the snake, you can feed it, take care of it, shelter it, at some point, the snake is going to get you…and the snake got us.” That is both extremely detailed and very vague at the same time. Props to you, Rez.
So of course, Reza was asked what the “snake” did that was so bad and Reza replied, “The snake jumped me and my man.” Well damn, I really need to know what happened now. I have to assume it will be shown as the season progresses, but I am so thrown off. Reza was the leader of the GG intervention and they even took that weird salt bath together at the spa, so I can’t picture them going from that to being at odds.
But then again, all of these people have friendships that waver from one second to the next. When asked if there was any chance of a reconciliation, Reza continued with the random metaphors when he said, “It’s a wrap. Pack it up, like bye. Let’s find a new friend. Ship her to a place where snakes go.” I have to assume that this will carry out until the multiple reunion episodes and that these two will have some really awkward lunch at the beginning of the next season to get their relationship back on track. I’m calling it now. That is how this cast operates.

Case in point: Reza and Mike Shouhed are pretty cool at this point. Even so, it must have been awkward timing for them to reconcile when Mike’s marriage with Jessica Parido was falling apart and Reza was giddy planning his surprise wedding. Reza explained how difficult that situation was, “It was so hard. I was writing my vows and I was literally thinking about him and thanking God that it was him and not me.” Well, phrasing it that way is not going to earn you any sympathy while you’re in an uncomfortable situation.
Then, Reza added, “Knowing that if I had gone through with the wedding last year, I would be in the exact same place that he was in.” Wait. What? You would have been cheating on your husband with randoms at the club just because you delayed your wedding by a year?
I don’t see how that he would ever be in that exact same situation, but Reza tried to explain what he meant, “We had issues that were unresolved and I really wanted to make an effort for both of us to be in a place where we were sure. Mike and Jessica had a lot of rumors, innuendos, and infidelity talk around them and they got married.” So I guess that makes sense. It is always important to get married when both people are absolutely ready.
