Should Fans Be Concerned With the Path RHONJ Is Taking?

 I might be one of the biggest Real Housewives of New Jersey fans, but the franchise’s new season hasn’t started with a spark like I hoped for. With Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice no longer interacting, the group will have a clear divide. We’ve seen this before where a Bravoleb refuses to speak or film with another, and it doesn’t usually bode well. The season is put under extra pressure because the rest of the cast can’t support the extra weight. 

A shakeup could be in the near future

The Real Housewives of New Jersey has widely had success with the same cast for the past few seasons. Yes, two newbies were added in Season 13 with Rachel Fuda and Danielle Cabral, but no major revamps have happened. But I am concerned that there will be a major cast shakeup after Season 14. The storylines have become stale thanks to the Gorga/Giudice feud. Now, Danielle seems to be starting with her own family feud storyline. As for the rest of the cast, nothing really seems to be that interesting or worthy of filming.

Dare I say the Garden State ladies have lost their spark? Even though only two episodes have aired, I am bored. As a viewer, I am tired of hearing about the ladies’ weight loss or seeing their children prepare for the start of a new school year. I am starting to think our only hope is Rachel and John Fuda’s storyline against Tre. But we will have to see how that pans out. If Bravo were to bring in a whole new class of housewives as they did with the Real Housewives of New York, it would be the end of an era, but they’d only have themselves to blame. 

RHONJ’s divide into teams will possibly be the downfall

Teresa is still very much happy living in her love bubble, but that means she is ignoring the significant issues around her. The mother of four is once again making her friends choose teams. This last episode showed Teresa grilling Danielle about wanting to try to rebuild her friendship with Rachel. Conversely, Margaret Josephs will have trouble swallowing the idea that her long-time friends, Jennifer Fessler and Jackie Goldschneider, want a relationship with Tre. 

Gone are the days when the entire cast got along or at least tried. Now, alliances and deals are being made. Viewers are learning about a meeting before the Season 13 reunion where some of the cast, including Melissa, Margaret, and Rachel, were plotting to bring down Teresa and Luis Ruelas. 

RHONJ is the new Hunger Games

The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s own Miriam Webster, aka Jackie, also agrees that the franchise has become a bit like the Hollywood movie The Hunger Games. Jackie, who used to be one of the show’s main cast members, is now openly criticizing the franchise for its clear divide. While speaking on Two T’s in a Pod, Jackie noted, “Everyone is convinced that if they get the most people on their team and then they take the picture and label it a team, that Bravo is going to see it, and they’re going to think, ‘Oh, they have more people, let’s just keep that team.’ It’s not the way it works, and it’s just making everybody so divided.” 

The notion is rich coming from Jackie who for years has been arguing against Teresa. It seems Jackie is one of the major culprits in this divide, to be honest. Margaret spoke on Access Hollywood’s Housewives Nightcap, sharing her thoughts. The MacBeth Collection founder told fans, “Unfortunately, Jackie really disappointed me. She was very, very disappointed. If it’s not happening on Instagram for her, it’s not happening in real life – and Instagram’s not real life.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey used to be the best franchise on Bravo. Thanks to its familiar ties and genius emotions, the series did well with viewers for a very long time. But the last few seasons have grown stale, with even Bravo taking note. So unless the women can turn their feelings around, I think the franchise is headed for a reboot, which could be either good or bad. But only time will tell. May the odds forever be in our favor.

The Bachelor Nation star to Influencer pipeline is real! After appearing on one of the franchise’s shows, many contestants go on to have successful influencer careers. Some have used their platform to launch businesses, sell books, or score some lucrative brand deals. Naturally, some contestants are more successful than others. 

Here are the Bachelor Nation stars with the biggest social media followings:

Hannah Brown-2.7 Million Followers

Hannah Brown became a Bachelor Nation fan favorite during Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor. 

The Southern Belle was initially a polarizing figure on the show, mostly due to her rivalry with Caelynn Miller-Keyes, with whom she had previously competed with in pageants. However, as the season progressed, fans became endeared to Hannah, finding her quirks charming rather than off-putting. Her struggle with wanting to be perfect resonated with a lot of young viewers and she became a serious contender for The Bachelorette. 

Her fanbase only grew during her season of The Bachelorette. They cheered when she finally sent home villain Luke P. and shed tears when she turned down Tyler Cameron in the finale. 

Since leaving the franchise, she has gone on to publish 3 books. She released her first book titled, “God Bless This Mess: Learning to Live and Love Through Life’s Best (and Worst) Moments” in 2021. She also has a podcast called High Vibrations.

She is the most followed person in Bachelor Nation. 

JoJo Fletcher-2.6 Million Followers

Fans first met Joelle “JoJo” Fletcher on Ben Higgins’ season of The Bachelor in 2016. She and Ben had a clear connection and many fans predicted she would be the winner. But in the end, Ben proposed to Lauren Bushnell, despite telling JoJo he loved her. Brutal. 

Fans were delighted when JoJo was chosen to be the Bachelorette. She was a great lead. She accepted a proposal from former NFL quarterback Jordan Rodgers in the finale and the two are still together today. How sweet!

She is the second most followed star in Bachelor Nation. 

Tyler Cameron-2.2 Million Followers 

Tyler was the breakout star of Hannah’s season of The Bachelorette. He was basically every girl’s TV crush in the spring of 2019. After appearing on the show, the Florida native has managed to stay relevant and has used his platform to start businesses and advocate for important causes. He works closely with ABC Food Tours, an organization that provides meals to schools in need in New York City. 

He is the third most followed star in Bachelor Nation. 

Kaitlyn Bristowe-1.9 Million Followers

Former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe is sometimes referred to as the “first influencer” in Bachelor Nation. 

Her season was controversial and she took a lot of heat for sleeping with contestant Nick Viall before Fantasy Suite week. Despite the criticism, Kaitlyn managed to create a successful brand after starring on the show. She is the host of the chart-topping podcast Off the Vine and created a wine label called Spade & Sparrows. She also took home the Dancing with the Stars Mirrorball trophy in 2020. 

Tayshia Adams-1.4 Million Followers

Tayshia Adams captured fans’ hearts during her season of The Bachelorette. She was always a lovable figure in the franchise but we got to know her more deeply during her solo season. She developed a dedicated fanbase that has helped her become a true businesswoman. From running the New York City marathon to becoming a usual at fashion events, she is still killing the game. 

She is the fifth most followed person in Bachelor Nation.

Colton Underwood-1.8 Million Followers

Colton made history when he publicly came out as gay in April 2021. The football star had previously been involved in a controversy surrounding his breakup with Cassie Randolph. He’s expressed regret for how he handled the breakup and has managed to reinvent himself. 

He is the sixth most followed person in Bachelor Nation. 

Hannah Godwin-1.5 Million Followers

Fans met Hannah Godwin on Colton’s season of The Bachelor. She was sweet, unproblematic, and drop-dead gorgeous. After the show, she joined the cast of Bachelor in Paradise where she met her husband, Dylan Barbour. Since leaving the franchise, she has remained in the public eye, successfully turning her reality TV career into a modeling career. She also founded a photo editing app called Setty that landed her a feature in Forbes in February 2024.

Sister Wives’ Robyn Brown’s Marriage Remains Unharmed, Here’s Why

Kody Brown hasn’t had the best track record regarding marriages. For the Sister Wives star who once claimed, “Love should be multiplied, not divided,” the polygamous family has been sliced up and served on a silver platter. But between his three divorces, feuds with children, and dealing with fan hate, Kody has ensured that his relationship with his fourth and favorite wife, Robyn Brown, will be preserved. 

Kody is the agent of chaos

One way the patriarch made sure to protect his only remaining union was to cause a mass amount of chaos between his first three wives. The TLC series was meant to show everyday viewers that polygamy could work. But instead, Kody just seemed to prove that living under patriarchy was not the right move for the American public. No matter what filters were used by the cameras, there always seemed to be an underlying tension between Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, Christine Brown, and Robyn. Kody often failed to ease their worries and failed to share his time equally with all four. 

Robyn was often given preferential treatment. During Season 1, Kody broke all of his rules by ditching his pregnant wife and driving two hours down the road to sneak kisses with Robyn. Fans noticed a disconnect when Kody even helped pick out Robyn’s wedding dress. The special connection he made sure to have with Robyn is what has fueled their love for so long. 

Kody moved for Robyn

For years, Sister Wives fans tried to figure out why Kody ever moved his large polygamous family from their cul-de-sac in Las Vegas to Arizona. The Brown family seemed to be thriving in Sin City as the wives made friends and their children settled. But Robyn was never a huge fan. During one episode, Kody dropped the bomb, saying that the entire family would be moving to Flagstaff. There was no reason or discussion; it was just a popup plan. No one could figure out the reasoning behind the patriarch’s plan.

However, years later, Gwen Brown revealed that the family was forced to move because of Robyn’s son. It turns out that Kody and Robyn’s oldest wanted to attend college in Arizona, but the mother didn’t want to send her son out into the world on his own. This impromptu move is an excellent example of how Kody made sure to put his fourth wife’s needs first, ensuring a happy homestead. 

Kody wanted “good” sister wives

During the latest season, Kody made it clear he was protecting Robyn. In one of his last marital conversations with Janelle, it came to a head. During a heated discussion, Kody noted, “I have somebody in my life who is fundamentally loyal to me and sees me as the head of the family.” For his part, Kody always wanted to make sure he ruled with an iron fist. And hoped to be seen as the head of his polygamous family. Janelle, however, wasn’t about to bow down. She told her husband, “It frustrates me beyond belief that he perceives this one wife, this one relationship, as she’s so perfect, she’s such a saint, she was so nice to us, and she was treated so wrong.”

It has been apparent for years that Kody checked out of his first three relationships a long time ago. There have been rumors that Robyn and Kody’s marriage was in turmoil. But the 55-year-old is doing everything within his power to make sure there isn’t one blemish on his fourth marriage. For Kody, he took the matra “Happy wife, happy life” a bit too far. And it ended up costing him everything. But at least Robyn is happy.

Celebs That Would Be a Great Lead for the Golden Bachelor Season 2

The first season of The Golden Bachelor was a ton of fun but had a somber ending. Gerry Turner made history as the show’s first leading man, at the age of 72. At the end of his journey, he got engaged to Theresa Nist after falling in love with her. The pair decided to marry as soon as the show finished airing, but their honeymoon phase didn’t last long. After only three months of marriage, the former couple announced that they planned to divorce.

While The Golden Bachelor Season 1 may not have been a success, it doesn’t mean that future seasons can’t be. Perhaps ABC could spice things up a little by choosing a celebrity for the lead. This would engage viewers even more, and give the show a better chance of success. The following four Golden men would make amazing leads, so hear us out ABC!

Lenny Kravitz

The first celebrity that comes to mind for the next Golden Bachelor is none other than Lenny Kravitz! Lenny is the perfect choice for the role, and at 59 years old he’s also the perfect age. When it comes to the lead of any Bachelor Nation show, viewers want to see someone who stands out. Lenny is a musician and an actor and never shies away from standing out in a crowd.

Lenny has been single for some time now, and it seems like he is ready to find love again. Recently, Lenny has even indicated that he hopes to get married again eventually. If Lenny were to become the next Golden Bachelor, he would definitely take the process seriously. While Gerry might not have been able to find lasting love, Lenny could be able to.

Hugh Jackman

Another celebrity who could be a great fit for the next season of The Golden Bachelor is Hugh Jackman. Hugh is currently 55, which makes him just old enough to be a candidate for the role. After starring in hit films like The Wolverine and The Greatest Showman, Hugh has made it big in Hollywood. Hugh would certainly be a big hit with the ladies, so ABC may just want to consider reaching out to him.

After separating from his wife of 27 years in 2023, Hugh is ready to get back on the dating scene. Since Hugh is already comfortable being in the spotlight, The Golden Bachelor could potentially be a great fit for him.

Kevin Costner

At the age of 69, Kevin Costner would be the perfect lead for The Golden Bachelor Season 2. Kevin is a well-rounded individual, with ventures in both acting as well as the music industry. Most recently, Kevin has risen to fame after starring in the hit television series Yellowstone. Furthermore, Kevin is also a member of a country rock band, which will certainly earn him points with the ladies!

Kevin is new on the market after his divorce was finalized a few months ago in February. After being married for nearly 20 years, Kevin is once again in a position to get back out there. Kevin certainly has a lot to offer, and his maturity makes him a great option for the next lead.

Special Mention – Mark Anderson

While Mark Anderson might not be a celebrity to most people, he is to hardcore Bachelor Nation fans. Mark is the father of Kelsey Anderson, who won the most recent season of The Bachelor. Kelsey is now happily engaged to Joey Graziadei, after falling in love on The Bachelor Season 27.

Bachelor Nation viewers first met Mark during Kelsey’s hometown date. Kelsey opened up about the passing of her mother earlier in the season and expressed gratitude for Mark’s strength. It is evident that Kelsey and Mark have a great relationship, and he seems to be just as fun as she is.

After hometowns, Bachelor Nation viewers began lobbying for Mark to become the next Golden Bachelor. During The Bachelor Season 27 finale, Jesse Palmer even joked that Mark should consider the role. If Mark is ready to be the Golden Bachelor, then he would be the perfect candidate. Mark is already familiar with Bachelor Nation and knows that the process can work.

Jesse Solomon Faces Health Scare on Summer House Season 8 After ‘Abnormal’ Cancer Scan Results

The newbies on Summer House are really a huge part of making Season 8 one of the best yet. West Wilson and Jesse Solomon are two lovable bros who bring an element of silliness to the house. However, the duo aren’t afraid to get into the drama or be vulnerable about their personal lives on camera.

Recently, Jesse, in particular, has revealed even more about his health. He’s been open about his journey with testicular cancer after first being diagnosed in 2017. In the latest Summer House episode, Jesse broke down in preparation for his five-year check-up. He was particularly nervous that the cancer would come back like it did before for him.

West was the best friend that everyone deserves in that moment by consoling his friend and validating his feelings. Jesse’s feelings were amplified by the fact that he felt a lump on himself before the appointment. Unfortunately, the episode ended with Jesse needing to undergo further testing as the doctor also felt the mass.

Jesse is grateful for his support system

Jesse spoke to Bravo’s The Daily Dish about his feelings leading to that appointment, especially during the previous weekend in the Hamptons. “I’m very sentimental […] but with my own life I try to be very pragmatic,” Jesse explained. He added that he tried to be in a good head space and remain calm, but he couldn’t deny his fear, so he broke down crying in West’s arms.

Additionally, Jesse elaborated on the intense moment during the Summer House After Show. “I had gotten the blood tests and everything done before, so I was just supposed to show up [and] the doctor does his physical exam and you’re good to go,” Jesse explained. However, he was left with more questions and needed further testing.

In general, Jesse said his support system made him feel cared about during that scary time in his life. “It just felt really good to have friends like that [who] show that they care,” he said. “I just felt lucky to have them.”

Summer House continues on Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.

Katie Maloney ‘Felt Safe’ Confiding in Lala Kent Before Reunion Betrayal

Katie Maloney showed up to the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 reunion with a fierce bob and a bone to pick with her haters. She and Ariana Madix have become the dynamic duo of the show, and they’re not going to let anyone convince them that they should be nice to Tom Sandoval. One person Katie had to battle at the reunion, after picking fights with each other all season, is Lala Kent.

Lala came into the Pump Rules reunion with an agenda, or that’s what it looked like. She revealed that Katie had previously called her to complain about working with Ariana and air some insecurities she was having about their Something About Her partnership. Katie was shocked, Ariana was unbothered and Lala ended up looking like a messy friend trying to cause friction between the two friends. It appeared like Katie reached out to Lala as a friend to vent in confidence and it was thrown in her face. Now, after the episode aired, she’s clapping back.

Katie doesn’t have time for fake friends

In an Instagram story, Katie posted a lengthy message to provide context for Lala’s attempt at a “gotcha” moment. Mostly, she explained why she opted to talk to Lala rather than Ariana herself. “I’m someone who has suffered from imposter syndrome for as long as I have known myself. Hence why I was apprehensive about opening the sandwich shop on my own,” Katie wrote. “So when Ariana was going through not only a world of hurt but also getting some amazing opportunities. That changed a lot of things during a pivotal time.”

She added that she realized that Ariana was going through her own issues with the breakup, so she didn’t want to put her insecurities on her friend/business partner who already had a lot on her plate. “I had an emotional response that didn’t feel appropriate bringing to her front door so I went to where I felt safe. Or where I thought was safe,” Katie continued. “Until I could find the appropriate conversation to have with Ariana. Which of course I did. And we have had plenty of since.” Hear that Lala? Katie doesn’t think you’re a safe friend anymore.

Ultimately, Katie made it known in one final message that Lala broke her trust. “To know me is to know I value trust, loyalty, and integrity,” she wrote. The post included the song “I Hope You Choke!” by Movements, which is another pointed message. Point taken.

The Vanderpump Rules reunion continues Tuesday at 8/7c on Bravo.
