Big Brother Over the Top: Who Gave the Best Final Speech? (POLL)

There are less than 24-hours before Julie Chen reads the name of the Big Brother Over the Top winner.  Jason Roy, Kryssie Ridolfi, and Morgan Willett have spent 65 long days in the BBOTT house. Now one of them will finally see their hard work pay off in the form of a $250,000 check.

img_2355

Last night, Morgan won the final Big Brother Over the Top competition of the season. She beat Justin Duncan to advance to the final three. The final BBOTT week continued tonight with final pleas.

Each houseguest had a few minutes to make last minute pleas to America. They talked about their game, other’s game, and why ultimately their game was the best one. None of the three speeches were realy thrilling or exciting to watch.

They basically all repeated things that we have heard before from them. Kryssie talked about just how much she puppet mastered the game. Jason talked about his vast knowledge of Big Brother, and how his wins and game moves kept him from leaving the house. Morgan talked about how the twist hurt her game more than helped it.

She also discussed how being seen as a weak player was part of her strategy.  Accross the board, we would grade all of their speeches with a C+/B- average. Shockingly, Kryssie gave the best speech. Unfortunately, most of her speech claims were completely delusional nonsense. If her claims were actually factual, she may have won a regular season of Big Brother.

Morgan speech was one of the more weaker ones because it lacked focus. Jason gave the best overall speech, but it definitely wouldn’t rank anywhere near best final speech or best Big Brother speech in general.

The only thing that gave him an edge with his speech is that he made points that could be backed up with supporting evidence, and he also addressed why he deserved to win more than the other two players.

Now that you have heard the final speeches, who do you think gave the best one? Vote in our poll below.

Who Gave the Best Speech?

Jason
Kryssie
Morgan

Scheana Marie Shay Files for Divorce From Mike Shay

scheana-marie-gets-married-part-2

Shay and Scheana Intervention

I could not help wondering where Scheana Marie Shay’s husband Mike Shay has been during first few episodes of the current Vanderpump Rules season (other than a 10 second blip at the apartment warming party). Their marriage issues and Mike’s struggle with sobriety took center stage last year, so the absence of their relationship from this season (so far) was very conspicuous. Well maybe that was some foreshadowing because Scheana just filed for divorce from Shay.

Damn. I feel naive saying this, but I was actually pretty surprised by this news. Maybe I’m the only one, but you know what they say, “hindsight is 20/20” and it’s very easy to look for “evidence” pointing to a split when it’s after the fact. But then again, Shay did supposedly go missing and take Scheana’s money recently- which Shay later denied in an emphatic Instagram post. So who knows what to believe, but the soon-to-be exes did confirm the divorce news.

CLICK “CONTINUE READING” FOR MORE

Scheana and Shay announced their split in a joint statement issued to Us Weekly. So yes, it is true.

The statement read, “While we have made the difficult decision to move forward separately, our story will continue on through the love and mutual respect that we have cultivated throughout our 15-year friendship.” The timeline of their relationship has always been unclear to me given the fact that Scheana was introduced as a cast member because she had an affair with Brandi Glanville’s ex husband Eddie Cibrian while Brandi was pregnant and then boom she was engaged. Or at least that’s how it seemed to me.

The statement vaguely touched upon the recent gossip about the couple: “Much of the recent speculation and reporting on our relationship has been misguided, and we have come to an amicable decision on all matters.” This makes me wonder what was true and what wasn’t. I’m sorry for throwing out all the cliches today, but you know what they say “where there’s smoke, there’s fire” or something like that. So maybe Shay did not steal all of Scheana’s money and go missing, but maybe he stole some cash out of her purse and stopped returning her calls? I have no idea, but thankfully, Scheana gets paid to share her personal life on TV, so maybe her fans will get some answers.

The announcement concluded with, “We might have failed at our marriage, but we are committed to succeeding as friends and will continue to support each other’s personal happiness and professional success.” I wonder what that really means though. Do they mean “friends” in the literal sense, or just that they want to try and have a civil divorce? I ask this because these Vanderpump Rules cast members don’t seem to have any conventional boundaries when it comes to friendship, enemies, and exes. Pretty much anything goes and alliances are always changing. For all we know, Shay is going to get a job at SUR and work the same shifts as Scheana next season.

In all seriousness though, this is pretty sad news since they were only married for two years. Hopefully their both doing okay and on a trivial side note, I think that Scheana should keep her married last name. Scheana Shay is just such a dope name. Or maybe she’ll go back to Scheana Marie Jancan?

TELL US- ARE YOU SURPRISED THAT SCHEANA & SHAY ARE DIVORCING?

Sheree Whitfield & Porsha Williams Sound Off About The Drama On Real Housewives Of Atlanta

Porsha Williams

Don't talk about Mama Joyce!

This season of Real Housewives of Atlanta only just started, but there is no shortage of drama. Every single woman in the cast is bringing their A-game. They all have a lot going on own their own and with each other – which means that they all have a lot of opinions about everyone’s business. So of course Sheree Whitfield has thoughts about Kandi Burruss’s baby daddy drama and Porsha Williams can’t help reacting to Sheree’s fight with Kenya Moore.

I love how much this cast is weaved into each other’s lives – this show makes sense instead of random scenes of people who have nothing to do with each other. Everyone on Real Housewives of Atlanta is looking out for themselves and spilling the tea about everyone else and I am absolutely living for it.

CLICK “CONTINUE READING” FOR MORE!

The last RHOA episode was full of drama. Kandi was struggling because her daughter’s piece of shit father decided to come back on the scene. Obviously, he just wanted to capitalize on Kandi’s shine and exploit a sad situation to get publicity for whatever music career he supposedly has. It was shady as hell and very sad for Kandi’s daughter Riley Burruss.

Thankfully, Kandi had Sheree to vent to; Sheree is familiar with the situation since her own ex, Bob Whitfield, decided to abandon her family as well.

Sheree opened up about her talk with Kandi in an interview with Bravo, “I can empathize with Kandi as we have shared similar struggles.” Not only that, but Sheree also has an ex who seems suspiciously comfortable around reality TV cameras – so they really do have a lot in common.

RELATED: Kandi Opens Up About Her Issues With Riley’s Dad

Not only does Sheree sympathize with Kandi, but she revealed that she also understands what Riley could be feeling. Sheree said, “As a single mom and a daughter who went through the same disappointments with my own dad, my heart goes out to any woman that has experienced parenting challenges.”

Unfortunately for Sheree, in addition to listening to Kandi talk about her personal drama, Sheree had her own shit to deal with. Unfortunately for the viewers, I am still referencing Sheree and Kenya’s pointless feud about the construction and decor of their mansions. When is this story line going to end!? It was funny at first. I live for the shade throwing, but I wish they would at least switch up the subject matter a little bit.

Just like most of the cast, Porsha had a front row seat to Sheree and Kenya’s latest showdown. And from what I can tell, it went on for a super long time, or at least that’s what the editing seemed to be alluding to. I was entertained by the random digs (like when Kenya mentioned Mama Joyce‘s wig), but Porsha was not amused by the display and explained why she feels that way in an interview with Bravo.

RELATED: Sheree In Court For Chateau Sheree Housewarming

Porsha admitted, “I was sitting there bored… I feel like I have heard all those tired reads before. It just gets old, so I decided to dig into the food.” I think Kenya and Sheree are prime sparring opponents, but they just keep arguing about the SAME STUFF over and over again. Please, find something new to be offended by if you’re going to be feuding on camera.

Porsha echoed all of our sentiments, “I honestly don’t get this ongoing rivalry between them. Why can’t they just be glad and congratulate each other for achieving their dreams and owning a home? I was hoping they would get tired and let it go, but that didn’t happen.” I never thought that Porsha would actually be the voice of reason, but she definitely is in this case. Preach, girl.

Let’s hope the battling mansions take a backseat in the upcoming episodes and that Kandi’s baby daddy gets his act together. Then I would definitely be happy.

Kandi Burruss Explains The Complicated Relationship With Her Daughter’s Father

Kandi Burruss

Kandi Burruss

Real Housewives of Atlanta viewers are seeing a lot of Kandi Burruss‘s personal drama this season. Poor Kandi – her mom and her husband are finally getting along and now she has baby daddy drama to deal with. A lot of the time, it seems like reality TV plot lines are contrived and manipulated, but you can tell Kandi is genuinely torn up about her daughter’s biological father Block Spencer coming back on the scene.

I find it shady as hell that this man who is supposedly successful in the music industry wants to be in his daughter’s life all of a sudden – in front of reality TV cameras. He couldn’t try to contact her in-between seasons? It seems extremely opportunistic and I can’t help feeling sad for Kandi’s daughter Riley Burruss. And on top of that the always outspoken Mama Joyce has had no issue sharing her opinions with Kandi, so it’s clearly going to be a drama-filled season for Kandi.

CLICK “CONTINUE READING” FOR MORE!

Kandi opened up to Bravo in an interview about what went down on the last episode. Mama Joyce told Kandi that people take her for granted because she’s “sweet.” Ugh. Poor Kandi. Everyone wants a piece of her fortune. What does Kandi think about her mom thinking people take advantage of her? She admitted, “Well, there have definitely been a lot of situations that I’ve let slide because I didn’t want to deal with drama. My mom doesn’t like to let anything slide, so it bothers her when I do that. Especially when it comes to money.”

It’s clear that money isn’t a top priority to Kandi when it comes to her beef with her baby daddy Block. Kandi didn’t seem to care at all about the lack of child support payments when Mama Joyce brought that up. Instead, Kandi cares more about Riley having a genuine relationship with her dad, which is very sad, but also refreshing since it’s not all about the Benjamins.

In the interview, Kandi was asked about why she was so upset talking to her ex on the phone. The scene was pretty tough to watch. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Kandi be that emotional on the show. Kandi explained, “When he said he wasn’t going to chase Riley to talk to her, he pissed me off. Block has gone Riley’s whole life not being there as a father. Now he wants to come out of the blue to ‘co-parent’ and he just expects her to welcome him with open arms?” Not to mention that he is some sort of music producer who is dating an artist, so it seems like he and his lady are trying to capitalize on Kandi’s reality show. It is a bad look all around.

RELATED: Kandi Reacts To Kenya Throwing Shade At Mama Joyce’s Wig

Kandi wasn’t done though. The normally nice Kandi added, “He is arrogant.” Well, yeah clearly. Anyone who wants to play hard to get with his own daughter is a total douchebag and a half.

Even though Block seems like a total piece of shit, Kandi still wants things to be good with him and Riley, but she knows it’s going to take a lot of work. “If he truly wanted a relationship with Riley, then he needs to make her feel like he really wants to be there. Even if he calls her 100 times and she doesn’t call him back, he needs to keep trying. Years of neglect take more than a couple of phone calls to get over.”

Kandi is usually calm, cool, and collected. I have no idea how she managed to be tight lipped about this situation for so long. About getting upset with her ex, Kandi said, “I try my hardest not to argue and curse him out, because I never want him to be able to use me as an excuse later to tell Riley he wasn’t there because I did something to stop their relationship. So I hate when I lose my cool with him, even though he makes it hard not to.”

Damn. Props to Kandi for being a class act in an extremely difficult situation. Hopefully Riley gets what she deserves in a father. It is sad and trashy Block brought all of this drama to the show though.

TELL US – WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT KANDI’S EX COMING ON THE SHOW? IS HE SINCERE ABOUT HIS DESIRE TO SEE RILEY OR IS HE JUST LOOKING FOR PUBLICITY?

Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen-X Episode 12 Preview: ‘About To Have A Rumble’

Survivor

Survivor

So have you recovered fully from last week’s explosive ep? Have you had enough time to digest both your turkey dinner and the epic rock draw that capped off Survivor‘s special pre-Thanksgiving double episode? Well I hope so, because things are not slowing down at all. It’s hard to believe we’re down to just a few episodes left this season, and you always know the end is near once the famed “loved ones” episode hits the airwaves, as it will tonight.

Yes, after what was one of the best Tribal Councils ever, Jessica (and earlier, Chris) are now part of the growing jury that will reward this season’s Sole Survivor. We are down to just nine remaining players, so let’s get cued up for tonight’s big episode and see who we think might just be in the best position to win this thing.

PLEASE CLICK THE “CONTINUE READING” BUTTON FOR MORE!

Survivor

So first things first: I want to let all of you know about TWO big things going on in the Survivor world.

First off, as I mentioned last week, please do yourself a favor and check-out the “Ponderosa Video” series on CBS.com. Every week after the episode airs (usually after midnight EST), you can check out a video of the person who was just voted out, picking up almost instantly from when they leave the game and following them to “Ponderosa,” which is the awesome place where the jury lives as they await the end of the game. These videos give you insight into the jury and provide for some really fun (or occasionally awkward or tense) moments. And in the case of Jessica, it reassures her fans that she is going to be okay after her devastating, emotional exit.

Secondly, it is time to vote for the “Survivor Hall of Fame” Class of 2016! If you are not familiar, YES, Survivor has its own official Hall of Fame! It was started back in 2010 and has grown into one of the coolest fan-driven activities out there. That’s because 50% of the vote each year as to who gets inducted is determined by fan vote. The other 50% of the vote is determined by the Hall of Fame “Executive Voting Committee,” which includes Host and Producer Jeff Probst, other Survivor producers, current members of the Survivor Hall of Fame, and just a SELECT handful of press members…in which I am proud to say that I am a part of! The Hall was created with full approval and backing of Survivor producers and CBS, and is curated by XFinityTV’s Gordon Holmes. Voting for the Survivor Hall of Fame is now open, and there are THREE main ways to vote:

But do so quick, as voting ends this Friday, Dec 2nd.

The rules are that you can’t vote for someone already in the Hall of Fame, and you can’t vote for a current cast member, which means you can’t vote for anyone who was a part of this “Millennials vs. Gen-X” season. My Hall of Fame ballot will be revealed soon, and the Hall of Fame “Class of 2016” will be revealed the week leading up to the “Millennials vs. Gen-X” finale.

The current members of the Survivor Hall of Fame are: Parvati Shallow, “Boston” Rob Mariano, Richard Hatch, Russell Hantz, Sandra Diaz-Twine, Cirie Fields, Ozzy Lusth, Tom Westman, Rob Cesternino, Ethan Zohn, Amanda Kimmel, Kim Spradlin, John Cochran, Jonny Fairplay, Jerri Manthey, Ben “Coach” Wade, and Rudy Boesch.

Survivor

With that out of the way, let’s set ourselves up for tonight! There will surely be some fall-out after the rock draw that sent Jessica out of the game. Basically, David, Ken, Adam and Hannah are now in the minority, but wait one sec…Will looked eager to flip sides during last week’s preview of this week. In the era of the “voting bloc,” there is no certainty anymore. David no longer has an Idol, and it remains to be seen if that Idol will be put back into play, so that leaves just Jay and Adam with Idols.

Speaking of Jay, he was Public Enemy #1 just two episodes ago but has quickly blended into the background as there seems to be bigger fish to fry. Zeke has now been officially “outed” as a serious threat in the game, so it will also be interesting to see how he rebounds and recovers this week.

Here is the official synopsis from CBS:

Episode 12 – “About to Have a Rumble” – Castaways receive a much-needed reward in the form of love, and one castaway works hard to build their resumé in the game, on SURVIVOR, Wednesday, Nov. 30 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

It’s sure to be emotional…the loved ones episode always is. But this time around it could be especially dramatic, because remember that Adam has the ability to steal someone else’s reward. A dick move like stealing someone’s time with their loved one would all but end Adam’s chances in the game…but could he try using it strategically, like say, giving this power to someone else? Would anybody want to steal someone else’s loved one? The episode preview video teases that this may happen, but we’ll have to wait and see.

As for the synopsis saying that someone will be trying to build their resume? Everyone is a candidate for this, because there is still much resume to be had. If the “lines in the sand” remain the same as last week – and that’s a big “if” – Adam‘s Idol could come into play. The key here will be that tease about Will shifting sides…Will is definitely a player in need of boosting his resume in the game, and a big move at this point might just be his best option…and even though he’s been under-the-radar this season, the jury will have its fair share of Millennial voters, who will be forced to cast their vote. If Will were up against a Gen-Xer, may he just be a dark horse?

Survivor

“The Fans Have Spoken” – Man, the comment section was alive and electric last week following Jessica‘s rock draw exit! There were lots of strong opinions on what went down, but the most surprising development for me was how many of you seemed to turn on Zeke! He had been a favorite for most of this season, but many are beginning to think that power is going to his head. Also, that they didn’t appreciate how Zeke and Bret tag-teamed on David at Tribal. There seems also to be some mixed emotions towards Sunday, and although there were some positives, most of you don’t seem to care for Sunday all that much. I think she’s playing a good game, and nobody can be really mad at her at this point. She’s a sneaky one, and a person that may not be the target from week-to-week.

As many of you pointed out, our loyalties this season seem to shift week-to-week as well, so just because we’re cheering for someone this week, we may end up hating their guts by this time next week. That’s true for all, except one: the lovely Ken, who seems to have been given Immunity by many of you because, well, he’s hot, and he’s nice. That, my friends, is a deadly combination, but one that has many of you pulling for him to win it all.

Be sure to check back here tonight as we recap things again, and remember to cast your vote in the Survivor Hall of Fame.

TELL US – WHO DO YOU THINK WILL GO HOME TONIGHT? WILL ADAM USE HIS ADVANTAGE AND STEAL ANOTHER PERSON’S LOVED ONE? AND WHO WILL YOU BE VOTING FOR IN THIS YEAR’S SURVIVOR HALL OF FAME CLASS OF 2016?

Scheana Marie Shay Defends Her Decision To Not Be Friends With LaLa Kent

Scheana Marie Shay

Scheana Marie Shay

I used to root for Katie Maloney to come out of Stassi Schroeder‘s shadow on Vanderpump Rules, but now that she has, she’s getting the mean girl edit as the new leader of the clique. Katie, Stassi, and Kristen Doute do not like LaLa Kent and they never have. So obviously they want to ostracize her to the point where it wouldn’t make sense for her to be in the cast and they can get LaLa off of (what they perceive to be) their show. And you know that squad was not going to tolerate Scheana Marie Shay being friendly with LaLa.

I can see why they wouldn’t want their friend to be friends with a woman that they have declared to be an enemy – but come on, LaLa is a SUR hostess and Scheana is a waitress, so they have to communicate every single time they’re at the restaurant. Why wouldn’t they just try to be pleasant when they interact? It doesn’t mean they have to be best friends, or even be friends at all, but having a civil rapport sounds better than being miserable every single shift. But maybe I’m just being too logical about this since Scheana seems to disagree.

CLICK “CONTINUE READING” FOR MORE!

Personally, I think it was total bull sh*t when Katie got offended by Scheana talking to LaLa at their shared place of work. That’s beyond dumb. Katie needs to chill out and stop trying to control the clique. It makes me miss the golden era of Stassi‘s reign as the squad’s leader. All hail, Stassi – the ultimate head bitch in charge.

Scheana declared her loyalty to queen Katie, by refusing to be friends with, or even have polite conversation with, LaLa. I get that LaLa isn’t the nicest person on the planet, but Katie’s clique seems to be taking it way too far. Plus, if we look at the big picture here, those girls need LaLa. Without LaLa, they have no opposition. No opposition means no drama. No drama means that the show is boring. And boring reality shows get cancelled. So, if these people want to continue promoting detox tea and teeth whitening products on Instagram, they really do need an enemy on their show.

As expected, the haters came at Scheana on Twitter after the last episode aired. Obviously, I feel bad for anyone getting attacked on social media, but I can understand why so many viewers were confused by Scheana refusing to interact with LaLa when Scheana is usually polite to everyone. Those on Twitter  accused her of being pushed by Katie‘s clique into making the decision and for being a blind follower. They really did go in on her and Scheana did what she could to defend herself.

RELATED: Kristen Vows To NEVER Let Lala Kent Into Her Friend Group

One Twitter user mentioned Scheana in this tweet: “I hope you stay true to you because that [is] one reason you are my favorite. Don’t be a follower.” To which Scheana replied: “Never have been. Never will be. Trying to respect a friends wishes isn’t following. Anyone who fat shames anyone isn’t a friend to me.”

I absolutely get why Scheana wouldn’t want to be friends with someone who fat shames. That is a terrible thing to do, but refusing to acknowledge a coworker that she needs to communicate with at her job seems like a little bit of overkill to me. I’m all for being a loyal friend, but why make your job more difficult because of that?

Another tweeter gave Scheana a warning about what she shouldn’t do – in a situation that already happened months ago – with this post digging at Katie, Kristen, and Stassi: “Don’t let the 3 musketeers dictate ur friendship. The fact they make u chose sides, shows they are not true friends.”

Poor Scheana. You can tell she doesn’t know how to handle being caught in the middle. And I’m wondering if she still has some PTSD from the days of the trio alienating and hating Scheana. It has to be a difficult dynamic being best friends with former tormentors. I don’t know how she does it – other than the fact that they are contractually bound to appear in the same show and most of them work at SUR. Nevertheless, it seem like some tough water to navigate.

Even though it seems like those three put a lot of pressure on Scheana, she replied to that tweeter by declaring, “No one dictates anything in my life other than me. I have amazing friends. You don’t see everything. Remember that!”

RELATED: Lala Kent Claims Her Co-Stars Tried To Sabotage Her Career

That’s the tough thing about reality TV: we get to see a lot of the action, but the negative moments are more likely to make the cut. I’m sure that the moments when Katie, Kristen, and Stassi were being reasonable and understanding friends was not going to make for interesting television and would automatically end up on the cutting room floor.

It will definitely be interesting to see how this clique fares throughout the course of the season. These people are constantly changing allegiances, so I have no idea what to expect other than most of the females hating on LaLa – that is one thing that is sure to remain constant. Hopefully Scheana will find some way to function in this new group dynamic and stay true to herself…. if Katie will allow it… kidding/not kidding.

I actually feel bad for Katie these days because the current season is not a good look for her and I assume she’s getting lots of social media hate. Let’s hope she can turn this shit around and go back to being the cast member most of us were rooting for.

Are Southern Charm Stars Kathryn Dennis And Thomas Ravenel Feuding Again Over A Boozy Thanksgiving Meal?

Kathryn Dennis and Thomas Ravenel

Kathryn Dennis and Thomas Ravenel

Can you smell the magnolias? Do you taste the sweet tea vodka? Have you heard the latest Southern Charm gossip? Bravo has to be gearing up for the latest season of everyone’s guiltiest pleasure because the stories are slowly “leaking” to the public, just in time to pique the interest of viewers.

Obviously, despite some of the cast trying to create their own drama, the main focus of the show has been the tumultuous, roof-raising, bourbon swilling, aircraft carrier sprinting, dinner party meltdowning, May December October, on-again, off-again, all the way off romance between the very young, feisty, uncensored Kathryn Dennis and the aging playboy everyone hates to love Thomas Ravenel. If that crazy pair can’t make it, the rest of us are doomed!

CLICK THE CONTINUE READING BUTTON FOR MORE!

After multiple feuds over the care of the couple’s two very young children, Kensie and Saint, knock-down-drag-out fights over child support and infidelity, and very public displays of extreme intoxication, many speculated that Kathryn wouldn’t be returning to the show she was never intended to be on in the first place. After all, T-Rav was always supposed to be a key player, and Kathryn only became a staple when they started hooking up early in the first season. It’s amazing what two kids and three seasons can bring, right?

Speaking of, the precious Kensie and Saint are smack dab in the middle of most of their parents’ arguments. While there is no question that both are the center of their parents’ worlds, sometimes T-Rav and Kathryn forget to focus more on how much they love their kids and less on how much they hate each other. As any Southern Charm fan knows, there are dozens of now deleted social media posts that support this assertion. They are both guilty of lambasting the other’s parenting skills for their giant Twitter and Facebook followers. And let’s not forget the very public custody battle.

RELATED: Craig Conover Heads To Haiti For A Charity Trip

This time, the feud is over Thanksgiving. According to the Inquisitor, Thomas had the children for the holiday, and he violated the pair’s no alcohol in front of the babies. He tweeted (and deleted, of course) a video of himself enjoying wine at a restaurant with the kids’ nanny and her underage daughter (who the site hints is his latest girlfriend). Unfortunately for T-Rav, someone actually videoed the video and reposted it. Sheesh. When will people learn that nothing on the Internet ever really goes away?

According to the site, Kathryn was less than pleased with this development, especially after completing a rehab program in Malibu…yet another reason folks assumed she’d be off the show. Well that, and because she said she wasn’t coming back. However, it seems that the producers, and Kathryn, wanted a comeback–and we’ll get to bear witness on the upcoming season of Southern Charm. Bring it on, Bravo!

TELL US – IS IT A BIG DEAL THAT THOMAS WAS DRINKING WINE IN FRONT OF HIS KIDS? WILL WE SEE A DIFFERENT SIDE OF KATHRYN THIS SEASON?

Ladies Of London Premiere Recap: London Friends Are Falling Down

ladies-of-london-recap

ladies-of-london-recap

Welcome back, Ladies Of London! Oh, how I’ve missed the Carolines – the castles – the sheer upper crustiness of it all!! I have been a massive fan of this sleeper hit since season one, so it’s like an early Christmas present knowing that season three is finally upon us. And if last night’s premiere episode is any indication of what’s to come, it seems we might be in for a delightfully dramatic ride! (But please, Bravo, can we maybe just stop now with those cheesy singing promos? What was THAT all about anyway?!)

Juliet Angus, Caroline Fleming, Marissa Hermer, Julie Montagu and Caroline Stanbury are back this season to vie for their spot as rightful Queen. Soon to be ex-sister in law of Caroline S, Sophie Stanburyand new castmate Adela King (long time friend of Caroline S) have also joined the ladies for a frolic across the pond. So, let’s dive in!

CLICK THE CONTINUE READING BUTTON FOR MORE!

ladies-of-london-recap (4)

The most critical update since last season: Julie has a much improved hair color. Plus, she and hubby Luke have taken over his Mapperton Estate, which will be all consuming. Julie will be moving the family there full time in the next two years, but it seems Luke has taken up residence there already. Julie’s feeling the pressure of impending failure – especially as the “American wife.” She does her best to mask her nerves as she and Luke pose for press photos, though, pretending it’s all good. “Kate Middleton’s got nothing on me,” she jokes.

Marissa, pregnant with her third child (a baby girl!), is in bed discussing her knickers with hubby Matt. Last year she was launching hot dog joints; this year, she needs bigger underpants! In actual fact, Marissa is in a lot of real fear at the moment. After miscarrying in the past, Marissa now has a viable pregnancy, but it’s risky. She’ll need to have her baby two months early to save her life. Her placenta won’t come out naturally, so the doctors will have to remove it, potentially leading to major blood loss. “I could die,” says Marissa, who just wishes she could keep her baby inside longer.

As Matt and Marissa head to the hospital for the procedure, Marissa tears up a bit. She keeps wondering about the “what if’s” – but Matt encourages her to just move through it.

At Caroline S’s home, she and Sophie are recovering from Caroline’s 40th birthday party the night before – which now warrants IV drip vitamins, home delivered. Sophie and Caroline have been close for years, with Caroline even introducing Sophie to her brother (Sophie’s husband). But before we find out more on that marriage, Caroline reflects on her hellish year. The closing of her business, Gift Library, was a blow to her ego – and now she doesn’t know what to do with herself.

Sophie finally discusses her impending divorce. After seven years of marriage, they’re calling it quits. “We made each other so sad,” admits Sophie, who seems much more subdued from last season. Caroline assures Sophie that this divorce doesn’t change anything between them. She also admits privately that the divorce actually comes as a relief – Sophie and her brother’s bickering was constant.

Speaking of bickering, Caroline talks about her continued animosity toward Julie, “the town foghorn.” She doesn’t trust that future countess. Sophie likes Julie though, which is not good news for Caroline. So, who’s soldier is Sophie going to be? Looks like she’ll have to choose.

At Caroline F’s, we are treated to a quick shot of her TO DIE FOR closet, from which she is plucking perfect clothes for a trip. Aside from low-key stressing about her son spilling crumbs in her bed, Caroline is seriously worried about her father, who has cancer. Though her relationship with her father has been tenuous, Caroline loves him, and has been traveling back to Denmark weekly to check in on him. Just as a reminder, Caroline sadly lost her mother long ago as well.

At the hospital, Marissa is prepped for surgery. She’s nervous, but ready. Matt sweetly records his wife and tells their future little girl how excited they are for her arrival. Through tears, Marissa admits she can’t really believe they’re about to do this. She feels powerless, but knows that she and Matt just have to lean on each other and trust the doctors now. My god. My heart so goes out to both of them in this moment. 🙁

After waiting for an eternity, Matt (with his sister in tow) finally just bumrushes a nurse back by the OR and – it’s ALL GOOD! The baby is out, and both she and mommy are doing well! Happy dance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The big news in Caroline S’s life is that hubby Cem has taken a job in Dubai, and the entire family are moving there. In the mean time, Caroline has set them up in a small London house while they rent our their Surrey home. The family will spend their time in London until the end of the summer, after which Caroline will decide if Dubai suits her. Hmm. Glitzy? Over the top? Filled with upscale shopping? Sounds like a perfect fit!

ladies-of-london-recap (3)

Adele, Caroline’s long time friend, comes over to check out the new place. Caroline says Adele has always been confidant and seducing – a perfect match for her. In another perfectly disastrous match across town, Sophie is chatting Julie up about Caroline S’s utter disdain for her. Oh no, Sophie. She’s stirring the poop right out of the gate, isn’t she? Although Sophie backtracks (sort of), Julie is now officially offended. Sensitive Person Disorder Alert!!!

In a hail mary move, Julie chalks Caroline’s comments up to jealousy: She has a title, but Caroline never will. Sophie, now seeing the error of her sh*t talking ways, suddenly claims she doesn’t “want to choose sides!” Yet she already has, without even knowing it. #Messy

At Sophie’s house later, she’s working out with her trainer. She’s now single again, so she’s got to get that body back in check! She reflects on her life before marriage, which included work with a hedge fund manager and a full social life. Then came Alex, and later, two sons. She was ready to go into mommy mode after she and Alex settled down, but he wasn’t ready to “hang up his hat yet,” as it were. This led to a crumbling marriage. Now, Sophie is left co-parenting with Alex, who she thinks is “a complete sh*t.”

Rather than wallow in her pain, Sophie decides to throw a party to celebrate her “rebirth.” Plus, Sophie might be ready to dance on tables again! All of the ladies will be attending – even Caroline S, about which Julie is not thrilled. But she claims to be “over it” (HA! Right), which shocks Sophie – who’s already told Caroline that Loose Lips is coming for her. Caroline is waiting to bite back. So, Julie better drum up the nerve to confront – or risk being confronted off guard. “What’s she going to do – downward dog me onto the floor?” muses Caroline.

Hey, lookie there! Juliet finally gets a snippet of camera time as she sits down with the rest of the ladies for drinks. But the camera is quickly whisked away from her to focus on Caroline S discussing her Julie issues with anyone who will listen. Caroline F doesn’t even know what’s going on. She just wants the warmth of the sun to infuse her limbs with magical rainbows and glitter and unicorns! But Sophie, who knows full well what’s going on (and that she started it), wanders over to delusionally deflect a bit.

Caroline S rightly calls Sophie out for needlessly starting drama, but Sophie claims she had no idea what she was doing. Since Sophie started it though, she’s ordered to bring Julie over to finish it. Caroline admits she thinks Julie is manipulative, and Juliet even piles on that Julie “plows through friendships!” Of course Juliet defends Caroline, thinks Julie. She’s Caroline’s “b*tch,” after all, she says.

Vowing not to cry every single moment she’s on camera like last year, Julie manages to hold her unstable sh*t together as Caroline S full-frontal reams her, claiming she’s been “bulldozed by this b*tch!” Taking no prisoners, Caroline also lashes out at Sophie for flip-flopping. She wants her sister in law to grow a set of balls and, if she’s going to take sides, do it now. Even Caroline F, now revived from the sun, jumps in to advise Sophie to keep her trap shut in the future.

For her part, Sophie just bemoans the fate of her “rebirth” party – which has gone from festive to feral in less than one glass of wine. Taking her aside later, Julie confronts Sophie about the flip-flopping too. Why did she run back to Caroline S after spilling the tea to her in the first place? Sophie has no answers. Well. Girlfriend better read some manuals before attempting this level of play between Caroline S – and anyone – going forward. Her rebirth may look something more like a slow, painful frenemy feeding frenzy, if not.

Below Deck Recap: Waking The Resting Bitch Face

below-deck-recap (7)

below-deck-recap

Last night’s Below Deck was all about frustration. Kate Chastain resurrects the Resting B*tch Face to combat her frustration over the shoddy work – and attitude – she’s perceiving from Sierra Storm and Emily Warburton-Adam. Meanwhile, Kelley Johnson does his best to quiet his ego as he adjusts to life with Nico Scholly’s new senior deckhand status. As opposed to Nico’s freshman deckhand behavior lately – which now includes blaming Kate for all of his self-inflicted problems aboard Valor! Lauren Burchnell is, of course, all too happy to blame Kate too. She’s #TeamNico, whether it makes sense or not. Sigh. I had such high hopes for Lauren early in the season. What happened to this girl in six short weeks?

We begin with Kate and Kelley bemoaning their separate fates. But Ben Robinson and Emily are celebrating theirs! After preserving Emily’s funeral bouquet for as long as humanly possible, Ben finally scored an adult sleepover ashore. From which he emerged giddier than ever. Kyle Dixon is also breathing a sigh of relief after his girlfriend Ashley took his sketchy Sierra news pretty well. Kyle better get it together for that patient girl because she is standing by his excuse-making arse even though he doesn’t deserve it. #TeamAshley

CLICK THE CONTINUE READING BUTTON FOR MORE!

Time to meet the LAST charter guests! Captain Lee Rosbach briefs the team: The guests are former models who have a lifestyle blog, want a photo shoot and thank you dinner for their host, and will provide plenty of game play for Kelley – who says he loves the “older ladies.” <eye roll>

below-deck-recap (3)

Kate checks in on Emily and Sierra, with whom she’s not too happy. Emily notices the icy tone in Kate’s delivery. Above deck, Captain Lee demands a good job from his deck crew, who have been struggling all season – especially with that damn swimming pool! Lee suggests they take a page out of Kate’s playbook, steering the guests away from activities that the crew doesn’t want to set up. (Whoa! I did NOT expect that sort of advice to come out of Lee’s mouth. Is he just exhausted with this crew or what?) Nico’s only takeaway from this little speech? Kate is a b*tch. He thinks her manipulative ways shouldn’t be brandished about as training tactics.

After not answering Kate on the radio, Emily and Sierra are on even thinner ice. Kate gives them some critical reminders and advice before charter, which seems innocuous enough, but to which Emily and Sierra give major side eye. Emily just wants to make out with her man, yo! She doesn’t have time to be answering radios! Those flowers aren’t going to grow legs and move themselves! Kate knows that she doesn’t need to be friends with these girls in the end, though. She needs to be their boss.

Lauren and Nico decide that it’s the last charter, so they’re going to let their immaturity reach its full potential. They snark on Kate with Kyle, who is all to happy to go along for the ride. Kelley decides he’s going to release his inner b-bag also, snarking on the “elderly” guests who are about to arrive. In that theme, he explains to the guests that they have lots of fun pool toys – and a pool, which is for “children and old people.” He avoids setting up the pool thusly. The guests, by the way, are pretty and lovely (so far) and are hopefully hate-tweeting Kelley marathon style right now. Because he sucks, dude.

As Valor anchors at sea, Kate does her rounds and finds Sierra’s radio, which she lost. As punishment, Kate literally zip ties Sierra’s radio to her body. Bwahahahaha! Sierra is just barely smart enough to be offended, but Kate doesn’t care. She’s thinks brains and beauty don’t often come in one package, and “Sierra’s just…really, really pretty.”

As the guests lunch, they toast to Dawn, their host. And Emily sneaks back to the galley for some more flirt time with Ben, who’s hoping this relationship is really heading somewhere. Kate is just trying to swallow down her bile after 1) being annoyed with #Bemily and 2) listening to women empowerment lessons from ladies who luxuriate. Oy – Kate is in a bad place this charter. It’s gonna be RBF all night long, ladies and gents!

below-deck-recap (2)

After being told “No breaks for you!” Soup Nazi style, Sierra has had enough of grumpy Kate. She and Emily commiserate in the laundry room about their superior’s baditude. It’s tough to get huffy with a radio zip tied to one’s person, but somehow Sierra manages it. She also manages to gross Kyle out by chewing with her mouth open on the regular.

Agggghhhh! Enough with the missing radios!!! Sierra has lost hers AGAIN?! After an altercation with Kyle in which Sierra calls him a child, Kyle calls her a “d*ck” and “a f*ckin idiot.” It’s last charter, people. Hold it together for two more days! Kyle thinks Sierra isn’t worth his time, but Kelley wants him to apologize for the sake of the order. Kyle refuses.

below-deck-recap (4)

So Kelley tries to smooth the waters with Sierra…but it doesn’t turn out well. Sierra thinks the deck crew is messing with her, but Kelley claims they’re not. His reasonable start quickly devolves into an immature argument, with Kyle giggling over his shoulder as brah backup. “Why are they so mean to me???” whines Sierra to Kate later, who gives zero f*cks about who’s being mean to whom at this point. She wants to get off this ship without slapping a b*tch, so she suggests they all just focus on the job at hand – not each other.

After an evening photo shoot, the guests practically have orgasms over their dinner. They ask to meet Ben, who graciously obliges to be worshipped. They even get to sneak in a kiss! (Don’t tell Emily…or that psychic.)

Below deck, Lauren and Kyle talk about who’s crazier: Sierra or Kate? Lauren thinks Kate is a giant b*tch, while Kyle still thinks Sierra is the scarier of the two – like, slice your wang off with an ice pick scary. Meanwhile in the galley, Kate and Ben discuss their mutual desire to murder one another. They laugh hysterically about hating each other with a white hot rage, and this is why I still have mad love for these two despite their drama. They just can’t quit each other! (Hey – screw #Bemily! These two need a killer hashtag. Any ideas?)

The next day, the guests plan to go on a shore excursion while Sierra and Kelley do their best to ignore each other. And Kate does her best not to flip the f*ck out over reminding her crew for the hundredth time of what their jobs are. Whether she actually needed to remind them or not is suspect, though. She’s on edge, and her crew are tired. It’s a recipe for disaster, period.

Speaking of recipes, Ben makes breakfast under the duress of 12-foot swells, about which he complains endlessly. The guests don’t seem to mind eating while their plates slide to and fro though, so it’s all good. Not good is Kelley’s crew asking the interior crew to do their jobs – which Kate immediately corrects Kelley for (it was Kyle who asked Sierra to fill a cooler for him, but Kelley is ultimately to blame as his superior). Kelley uses this opportunity to b*tch about Kate to Kyle, who is his partner in women-hating this episode. Ugh with these two.

As the deck crew prepare to take the guests to the baths, Kate breathes a sigh of relief. Then she goes into micromanagement mode, cleaning each cabin that Emily and Sierra have left unattended. So, that sigh of relief? Gone. Kate confronts her crew about their lack of attention to detail: She wants them to go through all of the cabins again and do what should have already been done. No breaks today either!

Resting B*tch Face is in “code red” now, and Kate plans to keep it that way if Sierra and Emily can’t get it together. And next week’s finale hints that RBF might just be here to stay – at least for one more day!

TELL US: WAS KATE TOO HARD ON THE GIRLS, OR ARE THEY SLACKING? IS THE DECK CREW PICKING ON SIERRA, OR IS SHE TOO SENSITIVE?
