It seems like everyone these days has a podcast. But it was surprising to discover that Madison Brown has decided to jump on the podcast train. Maddie kept her distance from her Sister Wives fame and family. Viewers haven’t seen her share her life on the series that much, especially after her mother divorced Kody Brown. Now, Madison is looking to make a jump back onto center stage, but will she talk about her family drama or keep everything copacetic?
Everything to know about Madison Brown’s podcast
Janelle Brown’s daughter shared some big news via her Instagram this week. Madison revealed that she would be launching her very own podcast. In a message to fans, she wrote, “Big news, friends! The Authentic Society Podcast is coming! This has been something we have loved working on, and we are so excited to share it with you—creating a place to dive into the raw, real sides of womanhood, friendships, marriage, faith, and the relationships that shape us.”
Maddie added, “We’re not here to gloss over the hard stuff or throw out perfect solutions; instead, we’re unpacking real stories, sharing laughs, and learning together. Can’t wait to have you join us on this journey!” The podcast will launch on Monday, November 4th. And it will be on Spotify and YouTube. Maddie and her co-host, Jayme Langley, have already dropped a few teasers. One chat talks about being asked about having children as a woman, with Maddie sharing, “You can’t win.” Another clip showed Maddie sharing that her father had opinions when she announced she would be living with her husband before marriage.
Madison Brown will speak about issues with Kody Brown
In the clip, viewers heard Maddie’s answer to whether or not she “test drove” marriage before saying, “I do.” The Sister Wives star revealed that her dad “had a lot to say and a lot of advice. The clip shared a juicy tidbit as Maddie was cut off, sharing that her father called Caleb to tell him that his daughter was saving herself for marriage. I can’t imagine Kody would be too thrilled to be talked about on the podcast, especially since he hasn’t spoken to Maddie in years. The mother of three shared that in the newest season of Sister Wives, she doesn’t have a relationship with her father.
Along with her podcast news, Maddie also shared that she was pregnant with her fourth child. She took to Instagram to tell followers, writing, “What a wild year! Looks like 2025 might be a little crazy too!” Lucky for her, Janelle has recently moved down to North Carolina and away from Arizona, so Maddie will have some extra help. Maddie and Janelle also revealed that they would be starting a farm together. Sister Wives fans just watched as the mother and daughter looked for land in Wyoming. But the plot wasn’t the right fit. Maddie and Janelle both posed for a photo with their hands in the air.
Janelle’s oldest daughter wrote, “I am so excited to announce the launch of our passion project! TAEDA FARMS.” The announcement went on to say, “We would like to invite you to join us on this wild, messy, and beautiful journey as we build Taeda Farms, our flower farm, from scratch! It’s not always glamorous. There’s a lot of sweat, dirt, and trial and error—but every small step is part of something much bigger.” Needless to say, Maddie will have her hands full with all her new adventures.
TELL US – WILL YOU BE TUNING IN TO MADDIE BROWN’S PODCAST
Here’s everything you need to know for the premiere, from the cast and location to crazy events teased in the trailer.
Where does The Last Resort Season 2 take place?
The Last Resort Season 2 was filmed at a resort in the desert in Arizona. This differs from Season 1, which was filmed at a beachside resort in Florida. Season 2 will take on a more rustic feel, with the promotional posters featuring cacti and desert mountains. It appears that The Last Resort will be filming each season in a brand new location, which makes it fun to follow.
Which couples will be featured on The Last Resort Season 2?
Natalie Mordovtseva and Josh Weinstein are another shocking couple who joined Season 2. The pair had an on and off again relationship for years on 90 Day: The Single Life. They will be the only unmarried couple this season as well. Finally, Stacey Silva and Florian Sukaj headed to Arizona to try to solve their problems. The couple previously starred on Darcey & Stacey, where their marriage began to face some constraints.
What does The Last Resort Season 2 Trailer tease happening this season?
The teaser trailer for Season 2 hints at a lot of drama this season, which should make things juicy in the desert! During the first group session, Natalie declares that she deserves answers from Josh. It’s unclear what she’s referring to but it will sure be interesting to find out. After meeting everyone else, Rob jokes that he and Sophie aren’t the “most dysfunctional couple” on the retreat. We’ll see about that Rob.
It also seems that there will be a few allegations of infidelity this season. In a shocking moment, Brandon revealed to his parents that Julia cheated on him. Ariela and Biniyam are seen dealing with a similar issue when the former claims that the latter has “been unfaithful” to her. On the other hand, Gino and Jasmine still appear to be having the same problems as the last time. During a group activity, Gino asks Jasmine to sleep in the same bed as him again. For some reason, Jasmine sobbed and said she wasn’t able to. What could this be about?
I’ve loved the Real Housewives franchise since 2006. These women could no wrong in my book, and I instantly became a loyal Bravo fan. But some women stood out amongst the rest as they were our OGs. Think King Author’s Knights of the Round Table, except with a reality TV twist.
The Real Housewives of Orange County: Vicki Gunvalson
Undoubtedly, at the top of my list had to be the woman who started it all, Vicki Gunvalson. It’s hard to forget some of her most memorable moments (not that she’d let us). Some feel Vicki is an icon, a trailblazer for Real Housewives everywhere. With a 15-year career on the flagship series, it is easy to see why Queen Victoria reigns supreme. She always tried to elevate the Real Housewives of Orange County even when she was the one sinking to new lows. But through the good, the bad, and the ugly, Vicki made a lasting impression and possibly gave rise to the multiple spinoffs.
The Real Housewives of Potomac: Gizelle Bryant
From day one, I have liked Gizelle Bryant. To be honest, she reminded me of Vanessa Williams. Some Real Housewives of Potomac fans might find her foul, but I think she was the perfect mix of shady and relatable. Fans learned early on that Gizelle was a single mother who was never afraid to ask the tough questions. Over the years, Gizelle has kept things exciting and has become a stunt queen if it means good ratings.
When it comes to Gizelle, it also helps that she gets under Karen Huger’s skin. These frenemies rarely seem to find solid ground. But perhaps one of her best storylines has been with her three daughters. Her children never miss an opportunity to roast their mother, which only adds to her success in the beloved franchise.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Giudice
The table flip heard worldwide could have only come from Teresa Giudice. Tre and only Tre could get away with man-handling Andy Cohen and live to tell about it. Over the years, Teresa has given us storyline after storyline. Between birthing her fourth daughter, going to jail, getting a divorce, and finding love again, Teresa’s storyline has always smacked. She is the Madonna of the Real Housewives world since it feels like she keeps reinventing herself. The fact is that viewers continue to tune in to Real Housewives of New Jersey, which is mostly for Tre.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Kandi Burriss
Kandi-Yams, aka Kandi Burruss really showed her transformation from single mother to working woman during her time on the Real Housewives of Atlanta. I know, she’s not an official OG, but this woman paid her dues on RHOA so we are giving her OG status. Kandi was considered a fan favorite during her entire time on the series, mainly due to her ability to fly above the drama. Her down-to-earth personality was easy to relate to, and her work ethic was something viewers wanted to strive for. In my opinion, some of Kandi’s best storylines were about the other people in her life, i.e., Mama Joyce, Carmen, and Todd Tucker. Kandi had a spark that kept me tuning into RHOA for years, and I will miss her in the next season.
The Real Housewives of Miami: Alexia Nepola
Alexia Nepola never had it easy on the Real Housewives of Miami. Dubbed the Cuban Barbie, Alexia’s story really resonated with fans since day one. Even though, at times, she might be a pot stirrer, Alexia has faced many obstacles. Between a divorce, having a husband come out as gay, and almost losing a child, fans have been rooting for her to have a win. Even though she will be getting a divorce when the next season airs, Alexia and Todd Nepola had some cute moments together. As an OG, Alexia has made sure to keep Miami hot, and I expect nothing less from her in the upcoming season.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City: Heather Gay
One thing about Heather Gay is that she is as quick as a whip. The Bad Mormon author takes no prisoners but is still a fan favorite among the snowflakes. It doesn’t matter if she is rocking a scene with her fashion choice or holding one of her friends accountable for their actions; Heather is the glue that holds the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City together. I feel so confident in Heather that I’ll double down and say she’s one of my top 5 favorite housewives. Heather is hilarious, smart, successful, gorgeous, and strong. Honestly, I would love to hang out with her!
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: Kyle Richards
Since the debut of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle Richards has not dropped her diamond once. Many have come and gone, but Kyle still reigns supreme in 90210. Looking back on her long Bravo career the moments Kyle has created contribute to why she has remained a concrete member. I like Kyle for the same reason a lot of people choose to dislike her. She has this uncanny ability to start the drama and then step away. She allows it to unfold and very rarely gets caught in the flames. Honestly, it is an art!
The Real Housewives of New York: Sonja Morgan
Now, before you go to the comments to complain, I am aware Sonja Morgan is not an OG. But she is damn close, so I’m going to allow it. When it comes to the Real Housewives of New York, even when you don’t like a particular housewife, you can’t deny that they all bring something special, unique, and entertaining in their own way.
Sonja was this character for me. She never took herself too seriously. She also taught viewers a valuable lesson: “No one touches the Morgan letters!” and you can wash your panties in a bidet. But perhaps what made Sonja the best was how she showed viewers that even high society people can be crass and do weird stuff. Sonaj brought a human element to the series when she allowed cameras to catch her acting like a hot mess because, let’s face it, she made her train wreck antics look good.
TELL US – WHO DO YOU THINK ARE THE BEST REAL HOUSEWIVES OGS?
Dolores Catania has had numerous elective procedures over the years to alter her appearance. She’s gone beyond the fillers and botox to target problem areas all over her body. Basically, if it can be done, Dolo has done it. There’s been a tummy tuck, a thigh lift, and three breast augmentations. And that’s not counting the work she’s also had done on her face and neck.
Dolores Catania chose not to expose her knees on camera
“I’ve been ashamed of my legs for so long,” Dolores exclusively told Us Weekly. “I’ve been to so many doctors. I want a leg lift, and I keep going, and nobody really had the right thing to help me.”
It turns out that the Renuvion treatment was exactly what the RHONJ star was looking for. And Dolores recently underwent the treatment to target the area “around the knees.”
“I would say to the cameramen, I’d be like, ‘Please be kind to me.’ Do not get my legs ever in anything. I always wear long dresses,” she said. “You will never really see me in shorts. It’s been a rare occasion if I did.”
“When we filmed in Italy, I forget who on Instagram — it was one of the bad people — took a picture of a baby’s face on a sonogram and put it next to my knee,” the Bravolebrity shared “I was wearing a pair of ripped jeans in Italy, which I should have never done.”
Dolores continued, “It was very early that I didn’t really know the proper way to dress, and [it was] my first time in Europe. They made fun of me. They put a side-by-side of my knee and this picture.”
Thanks to Renuvion, there is also hope for Dolores to mix up her wardrobe. The treatment focuses on tightening loose skin, “almost” like liposuction. Consequently, it was exactly what the RHONJ star was looking for and is now enjoying the “great results” promised by her doctor.
“I was under general anesthesia for about an hour. It was simple. I don’t even think you really have to go under anesthesia for it if you chose not to,” Dolores said of the procedure. Additionally, “It’s a small cannula that goes underneath the skin and it targets the tissue that has no collagen.” Further, “It contracts the loose skin, and that’s what you get your results from.”
TELL US – WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE PROCEDURE? WHAT DO YOU THINK OF HER DECISIONS REGARDING PLASTIC SURGERY? DO YOU HAVE ANY REACTION TO DOLORES’ COMMENTS?
Never say never. Erin Lichy recently teased the possibility of a sexual encounter outside of her marriage to Abe Lichy. The Real Housewives of New York star is considering whether a cheeky rendevous may be fun to spice up their decade-long marriage.
Interestingly, RHONY was rife with rumors about swinging and wild nights that resulted in an unplanned pregnancy. It was all a prank, but it’s interesting how the topic was given life and Erin is now discussing the possibility of expanding her sexual encounters.
Erin Lichy teased that she “needed to explore”
There were prior rumors that Erin and Abe were “swingers.” The real estate professional appeared on Bravo HQ to address the issue and how the rumor started in Season 14.
“I don’t know how that even started. I think like Abe and I were talking at dinner with Sai [De Silva] and David [Craig] about like, ‘Oh, when we get older, like, we would,’ I don’t know, we were, he just — he f-cks around,’” Erin said of how the rumor came to be. “Um, but then, that like, took a life of its own. Everyone was like, ‘Oh, you’re swingers.’ We’re not swingers. But like, who knows, would we invite a third person in 20 years? I don’t know. Maybe.”
Had Erin not felt a “little vanilla,” she and Abe may have had an opportunity to invite a third person into their bedroom. The couple were on a vacation in Spain without the kids.
“We were in Spain and we were at a club and, like, there was a girl that was really hitting on me and I thought about it,” the RHONY star shared.
To fellow castmate Racquel Chevremont Erin explained, “I’m still a little vanilla. I need to explore.”
In contrast, Abe the babe was all too eager to get something going while the couple were in Spain.
“Abe was like, ‘This is — this is the moment! This is the time, like it’s happening. And I just couldn’t go through with it,” Erin joked.
So the opportunity in Spain fell through. But that doesn’t mean that Erin is completely against the idea. It’s just that now may not be the right time. She suggested reconsidering “when the kids are grown.”
It’s time to grab a mojito and cheers. Real Housewives of Miami star Adriana de Moura has finally made amends with Alexia Nepola and Marysol Patton. The trio used to be thick as thieves back in the day. However, once RHOM got a reboot, the tide shifted in their relationship dynamic. It soon became two against one, with Adriana being the one on the outs. But miracles can happen. And that’s just what Adriana dished about when she spilled the tea that all was now well between her and the duo.
Adriana admitted that “Julia helped a lot” in repairing her friendship with Alexia and Marysol
Although Adriana was on the outs with Marysol and Alexia, she always had her bestie, Julia Lemigova, in her corner. But there was a twist in Season 6 when Julia hit it off with Alexia. This put Julia in a bind when Adriana had come after Alexia. Still, her new friendship with Alexia might have been what was needed to bring Adriana back into the fold.
Adriana told Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” all the details of their reconciliation with Julia by her side. She said, “Hey, Alexia and Marysol and I are back on the good wagon!” The two then joked, “The reconciliation was an act of God.” Adriana added, “Miracles do happen!”
And it was thanks in part to Julia. Adriana said, “Julia helped a lot.” Julia did not shy away from the acknowledgment. She agreed, “I’m taking credit for it!”
Julia then noted that Adriana had “a strong bond” with the two. She shared, “I believed from the beginning that these girls have such a strong bond and whatever happened between them should [end] just because [of] the fact that they’ve known each other for so many years — more than we know each other.” Now that is a true friend right there.
We’ll soon get to see these besties back in action. There’s not a lot of tea yet, but Andy Cohen called the upcoming Season 7 an “absolute blowaway.” It was also revealed that there will be a new mojito holder to grace our screens. There’s no doubt there will be plenty of drama to come, but it will be nice to see the trio together once again.
Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula are no strangers to sharing their issues on screen. The Summer House duo are veteran cast members, and fans have seen the highs and lows over the years. Recently, it’s felt a bit more of the latter.
In Season 8, the couple fought over Amanda feeling professionally unfulfilled and Kyle’s reluctance to leave the city. Filming ended with little resolution, but the duo recently revealed that they’e been putting in the work to fix their relationship.
Amanda Batula said she and Kyle Cooke have “learned a lot” from watching themselves on the show
“There’s s a lot under the rug,” Kyle exclusively told Us Weekly. The Loverboy founder and his wife were at Bravo’s Fan Fest in Miami over the weekend. Amanda told the news publication that it was “tough” to deal with certain marital issues.
“I mean, we’ve gone to therapy. We’ve worked on ourselves,” shared said. “It’s very eye-opening getting to watch yourself back [on TV] and see how you handle different situations. So, we’ve learned a lot and have grown from it. We’re still working on it.”
Watching himself react on screen has brought clarity for Kyle, who felt “validated” by what he saw. Though, the Bravolebrity admitted that he doesn’t generally “handle things very well.”
“We’re so on different pages,” Amanda said. “Watching it back sometimes is a nightmare.”
However, being on a reality TV show has been a net positive for the couple. Amanda still feels excited to be in the share house with her friends.
“Individually, the memories that we get to make,” Amanda said at the Miami event. “I mean, being 33 and sharing a house with some of your best friends? Having these experiences is not something that people get to do or would do. I mean, again, we’re in our 30s and 40s, and you wouldn’t really share a house together like this. Being able to have these moments to look back on and these experiences is something that’s really special.”
Her husband also praised the “incredible platform.” Certainly, the exposure has been helpful for their business. Kyle, for one, feels “very lucky to be a part of it.”
TELL US – WHAT DO YOU THINK OF KYLE AND AMANDA’S MARRIAGE? DO YOU THINK BEING ON SUMMER HOUSE HELPED OR HURT THE COUPLE? WHAT IS YOUR REACTION TO THEIR COMMENTS?
The title of Survivor 47, Episode 11 is “Flipping the Win Switch,” a name that perfectly describes the events of tonight’s episode. The quote belongs to Andy, who uttered the phrase while discussing her master plan to remove Genevieve from the game. This week was a turning point for the Survivor 47 castaways. They’ve moved on from pleasantries and playing nice. It’s officially war, and the players are solely focused on making it to the end. This is where the game gets really good.
If you missed tonight’s chaos, don’t worry; we’ll catch you up to speed.
What happened on Survivor 47, Episode 11?
Tonight, the eight players left on the island competed, schemed, and campaigned in the hopes of making it to the final seven. Caroline, Sue, Teeny, Andy, and Rachel formed a final five, while the outsiders (Genevieve, Kyle, and Sam) prayed for a miracle to keep them in the game. Rachel came out victorious in tonight’s episode, discovering a Block a Vote power and earning immunity in tonight’s challenge. Kyle lost his first Individual Immunity Challenge, putting him in grave danger. At Tribal, the remaining players decided he was too big of a threat. He was sent to the jury.
Keep reading for a more detailed recap of tonight’s episode.
Caroline rebuilds her relationship with Sue after Gabe’s elimination on Survivor 47
Tonight’s episode began with the castaways scrambling to avoid Sue’s wrath after she lost Gabe. Caroline had the most groveling to do. Until last week, she played the game in tandem with Sue and Gabe but last week, she decided to go rogue, turning on her day 1 ally to advance her positioning in the game. Bravo! It was the right move, but it may have lost her a jury vote, considering Gabe called her a snake on his way out.
Caroline doesn’t regret her decision, but she is worried about how it will affect her relationship with Sue. After all, Sue has been loyal to a fault in this game. Caroline pulls her ally aside and explains her reasoning for voting out Gabe. She says she felt like Gabe was taking control of her game and taking credit for her moves (TRUE). She talks about being a Survivor fan and wanting to make her mark on the game.
I absolutely love seeing this energy from Caroline. The one thing holding me back from being a Caroline Stan was her weird devotion to Gabe. She’s clearly a smart, savvy player but last week, she proved she can be a bit ruthless too. I’m obsessed with her now…
Sue forgives Caroline for betraying the alliance. I mean, yeah, what other options does she have? Sorry, but if I’m going to do one thing in these recaps, it’s throw a little shade at Sue (haha). The two join Teeny, Andy, and Rachel, where a new alliance is born. The five of them want to work together to take out Sam, Kyle, and Genevieve. They have the majority, so it seems very likely one of those three will be headed to Ponderosa tonight.
Genevieve, Kyle, and Sam search for a lifeline
At the other end of camp, Genevieve, Kyle, and Sam are discussing the dynamics of the game. They know there is a larger voting block conspiring against them. They agree to band together and try to protect each other as much as they can. In a confessional, Genevieve reflects on her game, which some may describe as villainous or apathetic, but I would describe as iconic and legendary. She talks about how betraying Kishan emotionally affected her, telling viewers that from that point forward, she decided not to get too close to anyone in the game. She is definitely the Ice Queen of Survivor 47. Love that for her.
One Survivor 47 castaway goes on a mysterious journey
A boat arrives at camp to take one castaway on a mysterious journey. The final eight read the note that says they must choose one player to go on the journey. If multiple castaways volunteer, those players will draw rocks. The player who selects the purple rock will go on the journey. At first, Genevieve and Sam are the only volunteers. It makes sense they would want to take the trip, considering they are at the bottom and in dire need of an advantage. But then, Rachel, who is currently sitting pretty in the majority alliance, also volunteers. In a confessional, she explains that it’s a defensive move. She doesn’t need another advantage, but she doesn’t want Genevieve and Sam to get one. I love her so much. She’s such a good player!
The three castaways draw rocks and Rachel picks the purple one. The boat takes Rachel to a floating platform in the sea where she must complete a puzzle to unlock an advantage. If she does not complete the challenge in the allotted time, she will lose her vote at Tribal Council. She successfully solves the puzzle and unlocks a “Block a Vote” power, which allows her to secretly block another player’s vote. The advantage expires at the final six. Rachel has so much power in this game. She has an Immunity Idol, and now she has a Block a Vote. Her pockets are HEAVY. Damn.
I’m happy for Rachel, but I’m worried for Genevieve.
The Survivor 47 castaways talk potential targets
Back at camp, Rachel lies to Sam, Kyle, and Genevieve about the advantage. She tells them she did not complete the challenge and lost her vote. Sam is not buying it. He suspects she has an advantage. Rachel does confide in Sue and Caroline, telling them the whole truth about the journey. Sue is obsessed with loyalty and honesty, so she now feels close to Rachel. Caroline, on the other hand, is still wary of her new ally. She’s wanted Rachel out for weeks and their new alliance hasn’t made her forget about Rachel’s threat level. It may have been a mistake to trust Caroline with this information…
Genevieve is desperate to save her game, so she makes a pitch to Rachel. She suggests they target one of the weaker players (Andy and Sue), who are likely to be dragged to the final three. Rachel fakes interest but in reality, she still has her mind set on Genevieve, who she believes to be the more dangerous player. Rachel tells Andy about Genevieve’s plan, furthering his distrust of his former ally. Ah, I’m worried. It may be Genevieve’s final day on the island.
Who went home on Survivor 47, Episode 15?
Tonight, the castaways competed for Individual Immunity. It was a tight race between Kyle and Rachel but in the end, Rachel won, dethroning the comp beast. Kyle’s loss puts him in a very precarious position. It is the first week he’s been up for elimination since the merge. He’s the obvious choice, but Genevieve also has cause for concern. The group has clocked her as a social threat and some players, most notably Rachel, perceive her to be a bigger threat than Kyle.
Back at camp, the group is divided between Kyle and Genevieve. Andy is working with Kyle, so he tries to paint a target on Genevieve, who threw out his name earlier. Rachel agrees that Genevieve is a bigger threat, but Teeny, Caroline, and Sue aren’t really having it. Caroline thinks his chance to win out at final seven is too high and Sue, you know, hates Kyle’s guts and all that.
At Tribal, it’s unclear who will be sent to the jury tonight. It’s a tough choice between the social threat and the physical threat. Jeff reveals that Kyle’s reign is over and he will be the fourth member of the Survivor 47 jury.
Welcome to the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5, Episode 11 recap. Last week, Lisa filled Heather in on the couples’ trip. Todd told Bronwyn he was “disappointed” by her behavior in Palm Springs. And Mary hosted a “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” brunch so the women could work out their issues. Keep reading to see exactly what went down on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5, Episode 11: “Troop Salt Lake City.”
What happened on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5, Episode 11?
In this week’s episode, Heather and Whitney try to bring the women back together with a Girls’ Camp experience, but Camp Kumbaya doesn’t go well. Meredith invites some of the ladies over for a Shabbat dinner, which does go well. But they’re wondering what’s up with Mary. Finally, we do find out what’s wrong with Mary. It has to do with Robert Jr., and it’s not good. Here are some of the highlights from RHOSLC Season 5, Episode 11.
Meredith and Mary meet to talk it out, but Mary’s holding back
Mary says she used to be very close to her son Robert Jr. But these days he’s sleeping all day and feels distant. Even though she’s not talking about it, we all know sweet little Robert Jr. has a drug problem. She’s right to be concerned about him.
“I feel like I’ve been choosing to just ignore him and hope that it would go away,” she interviews. “I need him to just tell me the truth of where he’s at.”
Meredith is waiting for Mary at an art gallery, but Mary’s an hour late. After getting kicked out of Mary’s house the other day, Meredith’s worried about what’s going on with Mary. As she should be. Mary has a lot on her plate right now.
When she finally shows up, Meredith asks if everything’s okay, but Mary lies that everything’s just fine.
Jumping right in, they start discussing what happened at Mary’s house. “What you did, I thought you severed our friendship,” Mary says. “You’re not always the victim.”
When Meredith brings up that Mary was an hour late, Mary’s done. “You know what, Meredith?” she says. “Have a good day.” She turns on her six-inch heel and walks away. Mary doesn’t do confrontations.
“I’m carrying a big cross right now with Robert,” Mary interviews. Then what you need to do is lean on your friends. Meredith would want to help you.
“I feel like the fact that Meredith has no idea of what I’m going through speaks volumes of where our friendship is,” Mary says in a confessional. “Be a friend and be in my life, but if you’re not? Goodbye. I don’t need you.”
Meredith’s not a mind reader, Mary. I’m sure she’d be there for you if you’d just open up.
Camp Kumbaya is a bust of epic proportions on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City
Heather and Whitney think they need to gather everyone around the campfire and get back to Kumbaya. So they’re taking everyone to Girl Scout Camp! With wine, of course.
“There’s no one better at Camp Kumbaya than me and Whitney,” Heather says. Inviting the other women to their camp, Heather types, “Join us for our version of girl’s camp … Attire is Girl Scout Chic. No heels, but all the feels.”
When all the ladies arrive, Heather blows a whistle and welcomes everyone to Girls’ Camp. She says there’s a hole where they can “potty” if they need to. Both Lisa and Bronwyn say they’re done drinking for the night ’cause nobody wants to pee in a hole.
The first activity is the potato sack race. Once that’s done, it’s time to dig into the food and go sit around the campfire.
When Mary brings up how rude it was for Meredith to walk out of her house at her party, everyone is so shocked, that we’re forced to take a commercial break.
When Britani calls Mary out with, “Oh, and you asking her to leave …”
Mary snaps, “I’m not talking to you. Shut up.” Whoa. Mary’s pretty darn rude herself.
“You asked me to leave,” Meredith says, “and I didn’t feel welcome. So I left.”
“I didn’t ask you to leave, Meredith,” Mary says. Production replays the clip where Mary clearly says, “Meredith! If you’re not going to listen to me, get out of my house!”
Sadly, Kumbaya quickly devolves into an argument.
Bronwyn can’t resist stirring the pot
Bronwyn admits surprise that Heather and Whitney are hosting today since Whitney talks badly about Heather behind her back.
“What does Whitney say about me, Bronwyn?” Heather asks.
“She thinks you won’t have her back because you’d rather be friends with Lisa,” Bronwyn reports.
Whitney admits that Heather’s trying to stay friends with Lisa while Whitney had problems with her, caused friction between them. Whitney reportedly blocked Lisa’s number after Lisa’s horrific Galentine’s party.
“That’s her feelings,” Heather tells Bronwyn. “I don’t find that offensive. She’s always felt like that.”
Whitney says she’s been trying to give Bronwyn a chance, “But if you’re going to throw us under the bus, we’re going to back it up and run you over.”
When Whitney denies ever saying anything about Lisa not being a good friend, production rolls the tape. “Lisa, unfortunately, is the type of person that hurts other people to make herself feel better,” Whitney says. “That has been my experience from Day One with Lisa.”
Lisa brings out her favorite response: “That is a lie, Whitney. Don’t lie!”
“But it’s true,” Mary interjects. “You talk behind people’s backs all the time. You’re the fakest person I’ve ever seen in my life … Everything that comes out of your mouth is a lie.”
Lisa and Mary’s argument becomes two little girls on the playground, and even Meredith chuckles when Mary calls Lisa a “hot mess.”
As the argument escalates, Meredith blows her “safety whistle.” Time out, everyone.
Bronwyn and Meredith have had enough. They’re gathering their things and taking off. But wait! There’s gonna be s’mores later on!
“I should’ve never left my house,” Mary grumbles.
Heather’s frustrated. “I wanted to bring everyone together,” she says, “and now I feel like everyone’s further apart.”
Meredith’s Shabbat dinner for selected friends on Real Housewives of SLC
The next day, Heather arrives at Meredith’s house with a bottle of wine for Shabbat dinner. Meredith has high hopes for a more peaceful evening with a smaller group of friends.
Also on the guest list are Britani and Jared, Bronwyn and Todd, and Lisa and John.
Meredith wishes her guests “Shabbat shalom,” and lights the candles while reciting a prayer in Hebrew. Though she’s not particularly religious, she loves the traditions and sharing them with her friends.
Foolishly, the ladies bring up the disaster that Camp Kumbaya turned into the day before. Bronwyn’s take is, “Angie got real feisty with me because I was saying something she didn’t want the two of you to hear me say.”
“I totally understand,” Heather says. “But I feel like it’s normal and natural for friends to talk a little sh*t behind each other’s backs, but why throw them under the bus now?”
“I think there’s a place where you vent to a friend, right?” Bronwyn continues. “At some point, everybody talks about everybody. When you’re in a good place, it’s funny and cheeky and sassy. When you’re not in a good place, it’s offensive and hurtful, right?”
“I can be a real snarky c*nt, for sure,” she confesses, which prompts Todd to scold her for her language. “Whether people like what I say or not, it’s never been untrue.”
Meredith says that she’s seeing a side of Mary that she’s never seen before. She’s hurt, but she’s also worried. “It’s not in character. It makes me wonder if there’s some bigger problem going on.”
Britani takes Meredith’s comment to heart. “Maybe we do need to give Mary a little bit of grace,” she says. “Maybe she does have something wrong.”
Mary finally has a heart-to-heart with Robert Jr.
Meanwhile, over at Mary’s, she’s knocking on Robert Jr.’s door. “Bubs?” she says. “What’s up?”
“Robert was the perfect child,” Mary says in a confessional. “He was our pride. Very smart, very advanced … That’s the Robert I’m trying to reach.”
“What are we doing?” she asks him gently. “You gotta talk to me.”
“I took a Xanax,” he says. “I didn’t sleep last night, [so] I just took a half to chill me out. Then I’ll take an Adderall to balance me out.”
He admits that he’s been getting high since he was 16. Someone gave him a Xanax at a party. He liked it, so he started buying it.
“Then I started doing Xanax with acid,” he says. “And then Molly with Xanax. I really like Xanax, so I mix it with everything.” He’s also used cocaine and oxy.
“I won’t judge you,” she says, struggling not to cry. “I can help you, but you have to help yourself.”
“I’m just very disappointed with myself,” Mary interviews. “I feel like I let him down somewhere.” She knew he was smoking pot and taking edibles, but she never thought he’d branch out to other drugs.
He finally says, “I wanted to die … like this world wasn’t for me.”
When Mary asks if he knows what that would do to her, he says, “You’re the only reason I didn’t kill myself.”
That was rough. Robert Jr. is Mary’s entire world. It would destroy her if anything happened to him. My heart goes out to Mary.
