Season 11 of Real Housewives of New York revolved around Luann de Lesseps, her fragile sobriety, and her life as a cabaret star. Viewers watched Luann blissfully gazing at posters for her own cabaret show. It later came to light that there were some misleading positive comments on the poster. Luann’s cabaret obsession even pushed RHONY’s Bethenny Frankel to have a melt-down.
Luann also routinely kept her fans friends waiting at shows, while behaving as a diva should. At Luann’s holiday cabaret show, long-time friend Barbara Kavovit is the only New York Housewife to dutifully attend the performance. Unfortunately, Barbara is caught on a live mic while in the audience, telling her sister, “She can’t really sing.” Oops!
As you can imagine, Luann was less than pleased. At the reunion, Barbara appeared in tons of body glitter, and calmly set Luann straight. Barbara told her friend that she truly supports her, but that Luann isn’t Adele.
US Weekly reported that Luann appeared on SiriusXM’s The Jenny McCarthy Show, and she had something to say about Barbara. (Warning: there is some odd grammar in this post.) “Girlfriend, I can carry a tune, so hell with Barbara. That’s the second time, also, that she got caught on camera talking smack about me. … You have to pull the weeds, so you can make room for the lowers,” Luann said. I am assuming that she meant “flowers,” not “lowers.”
Barbara hit back at Luann during an interview with US Weekly’s “Hot Hollywood” podcast. During an audio clip from October 30th, Barbara said, “The Kool-Aid, as Dorinda [Medley] would say, kind of went out of my body. I got no Kool-Aid left in me, and I am ready to just tell it like it is from a businesswoman’s perspective.”
Luann’s latest comments about Barbara seem to be the tipping point of their friendship. “The narcissism of this woman, the self-importance and her blatant disregard for people that have helped her has got to stop. Not only myself, but [our mutual friend] Anne and I’m sure Bethenny [Frankel], and even Mary, who does her makeup, we are disgusted with her,” Barbara revealed. It’s just her total disregard for anyone else. I have no words for her anymore.”
Barbara was shocked by Luann’s recent comments about her. “That’s the thing with a narcissist, you can look at yourself and believe that everything about you is so wonderful and throw everyone away. I remember last year, picking her up off the floor, literally, trying to carry her, protect her,” Barbara explained. “I was her protector for 14 years…To make it like she’s [pulling] weeds, like I was the bad person, like Bethenny was the bad person?… My prediction? She hasn’t hit rock bottom yet.” Yikes!
So, is there any hope for Barbara and Luann to mend their splintered friendship, especially since Barbara has supported Luann during her struggle with sobriety? “There is no good with Luann. I had a 14-year friendship with her that I will walk away from forever,” Barbara stated. “She will never have me as a friend again.”

Oh, Ramona! Real Housewives of New York viewers are used to seeing Ramona Singer sometimes behave…well, rudely. It is part of her charm. Look at the way she always insists on getting the best room on RHONY getaways and orders the staff to help her unpack her belongings.
Ramona also has an issue with remembering the names of other Bravo celebrities that she has already met. And word on the street is that Real Housewives of Potomac star Gizelle Bryant has been the most recent victim of Ramona’s selective memory.
In an interview with People, Gizelle explained what happened when she and Ramona saw each other in the Hamptons at an event in July. Ramona was taking photos with RHONY alum Kristen Taekman, Gizelle, and some other people. Ramona asked the photographer to take pictures of the group without Gizelle and waved her arm at Gizelle to motion her away. Awkward! Ramona clearly did not know who Gizelle was, even though they had previously met at Andy Cohen’s baby shower. Of course, the moment was caught on video and went viral.
“I don’t mind telling people to move out of a picture ’cause I do that all the time. However, she saw me coming and they asked me to take a picture with her and she started running from me! Literally, running from me!” Gizelle said. “I was like, ‘What is wrong with this woman? She’s insane.’” Ramona did apologize to Gizelle…eventually. Even though Ramona and Gizelle did pose for a photo together, Ramona posted the photo without Gizelle to her social media. Ouch again! “It was so bad, she came and apologized to me later because everybody yelled at her for doing what she did,” Gizelle commented. “I was like, ‘Yeah, okay…” But RHOP star Robyn Dixon has her friend Gizelle’s back, and she is still upset with Ramona.
Robyn discussed Ramona’s rude behavior in an interview with HollywoodLife. “I mean, it’s kind of crazy because it’s like it wasn’t surprising at all, which is very sad to say. It’s like, I understand that Ramona’s been in the franchise for a very, very long time, but that’s no reason to treat someone that way,” Robyn stated. “It’s almost like you liken it to a sorority. You’ve just been in the sorority a little bit longer, but we’re all sorority sisters so you should extend the same respect and kindness to everyone.”
Apparently, Ramona’s reputation for rudeness had preceded her. “It wasn’t surprising because I’ve heard of this kind of shady behavior and not so nice behavior from her before, so I guess she’s just like the mean sorority sister,” Robyn remarked.
“But just from what I hear–she’s not the nicest person, maybe for people that she doesn’t really know that well,” Robyn explained. “I think it just speaks to maybe Ramona’s personality, which might be just a little bit harsher and colder than what people are used to.”
Robyn doesn’t really know Ramona. “I’ve met her before a couple of times, like [at Andy Cohen’s] baby shower, and I met her like at the last few events,” Robyn said. “It was very brief and in passing.”
Maybe all the Housewives should wear name tags at social events to help identify themselves. But something tells me that won’t stop Ramona’s shady behavior.

Gregg viciously bullied NeNe by getting cancer and interrupting her lifestyle. Now NeNe wants vengeance and exposure for all bullies! Let’s get straight to the fun! Our Lady of Compassion and Light has a thirst for blood retribution. After being maligned by nearly everyone last year, that thirst needs to be quenched.
NeNe told Us Weekly, “I will be praying with my wig off, they get to show some of [my costars’] true colors this season and show who they truly are.” Yes indeed! We all know how horrible Porsha Williams must be, tending to her child. Ugh, I remember when Porsha bullied us with tales of being fat shamed. 6 days after giving birth! Now, who in their right mind would do that??
NeNe also said, “These girls do a lot of things to each other. But if I do the same thing, it seems like it’s a little bit more elevated. So I hope that the fans get to see all of that.” The fans are waiting, NeNe! Speaking of fans, I bet the other ladies are mean to people in airports who just want a photo. NeNe would never!
NeNe hopes it will all “come full circle”. She said, “Let’s see some of the real bullies that are around here. And let’s see, I hope they show, some of the gang up. Because there’s a lot of ganging up.” Like that one time there was a gang up on Eva’s financial issues? Gosh, I also remember someone in a blonde wig, sipping a cocktail and cackling about it. No worries, it will come to me later.
If all goes according to NeNe, Cynthia Bailey’s true colors will finally be shown. NeNe shared, “I think, and I will put that in capital letters, THINK. OK? That they might for once try to show Cynthia the way she truly is on camera.” Thank the maker! I’ll never forget when Cynthia cruelly bullied NeNe last year by inviting Kenya to a soirée without obtaining proper permission first. Disgusting.
And what about that mean Kenya lady coming back? NeNe generously said, “I think Kenya’s great for the show.” Look at NeNe being all civil! It hardly even matters she had a “secret friendship” with Kenya’s estranged husband. Not weird at all!
In closing, NeNe said she looks forward to fans seeing Gregg’s health improve. She also eagerly awaits viewers’ reactions to, “Seeing the journey that I take, a spiritual journey, and excited for them [the fans] to see that and how that ends up for me.”

Jack Stirrup from Below Deck Mediterranean came across as as an impish guy. With floppy hair that annoyed Captain Sandy Yawn to no end. A problem with authority. And a sweet blossoming relationship with fellow co-star Aesha Scott. They were two weirdos who found each other in the middle of the open sea.
The show has since ended. And reality has slapped everyone in the face. It appears as though our cheeky brit, Jack, has been quite a busy fella with someone other than Aesha.
Let’s begin with a romantic tale of a doomed couple aboard a cruise liner in the middle of the ocean. You rooted for them. They made you believe in love. They seemed perfect for each other. And then an iceberg reality hits. You find out he was two timing her. And this is one Jack you would gladly push off that floating door. There is NO room for you!
I, for one, was surprised to hear that Jack and Aesha did not last long after the ship docked. Sadly, there was no reunion. But the two did have a chance to sit down separately on the Below Deck Mediterranean After Show to give their sides to the story. Short story. Jack went back to his ex-girlfriend. Even though Aesha thought they were still together.
Aesha, who stated Jack invited her to meet his family, was understandably surprised and hurt to discover her boyfriend was on a trip with another woman. Jack tried to blame the environment of the show for forcing him into proclaiming his love for Aesha. Right. Because on every other season of Below Deck we see crew members confess their undying love and affection for their co-workers. Oh,wait.
I think we can safely say that Jack and Aesha are done because his girlfriend has announced on Instagram the couple are expecting a baby. Posing beneath a palm tree in a two piece, a small baby bump clearly evident, she wrote, “..here I am ready to take on the world with my growing little human, and amazing boyfriend by my side…” Hopefully Jack will stay by her side this time. And not get distracted by reality shows that make him do things he wouldn’t necessarily do.

Although I have not completed an official statistical analysis, the Real Housewives of Orange County seems to have one of the highest divorce rates among Housewife shows. Tamra Judge, Shannon Beador and Gina Kirschenheiter vie for a three-way tie for the messiest OC divorces. Surely a feat that is worthy of some kind of award. Sorry Vicki Gunvalson, your divorce from Donn Gunvalson should have been dirtier. No orange, no divorce crown!
Meghan Edmonds has sadly been added to the list of OC Housewives who have split with their husbands since being on the show. Following a sexting scandal in June in which hubbby Jim Edmonds was caught with his red hot hands on the keyboard, the couple seemed to be working on their marriage. To make matters worse, one of their twin sons was recently diagnosed with a neurological condition. Last week, of course, all hell broke loose at Casa Edmonds and Jim has reportedly filed for divorce, with allegations by Meghan of Jim’s inappropriate relationship with the family nanny swirling about. Now, the nanny is speaking out.
Carly Wilson, who had been employed by the Edmonds family as their nanny, made a statement about the situation through her Instagram account. She shared, “In the past week, allegations have been made about me which are not based in fact. I have not and never would participate in any action involving infidelity.” The accompanying photo says “Be kind.”
That is a pretty loud and clear statement from Carly. Jim has also denied that he had an affair with the nanny, calling the accusations “disgusting and irresponsible.” Whatever the situation, it must be very difficult for a young woman to be accused of something she denies in such a public way.
Nanny Carly went on to say in her post, “I consider this a private matter in someone else’s marriage and will not comment on it further. I wish the entire family well.”
So, I think we know where Carly stands. It does not sound like she is going to be selling stories to the tabloids anytime soon. Which is a blessing for everyone involved.
Jim’s family has not been shy about supporting him in this mess. His daughter Hayley Edmonds has come out in full support of her father, taking the opportunity to trash Meghan, saying she has been “waiting” for the divorce. Ditto Jim’s ex-wife, Allison Jayne Raski, who referred to Meghan’s reign as the third Mrs. Edmonds as a “nightmare” for her family. Ouch, that hurts!
But, hold your horses–and your comments, ladies! Jim has just come out with another statement in which he declared he was “sad that his wife was hurt” and said he had “love” for her. He went on to talk about how he “will make it right again” for his family, amongst numerous other verbal love bouquets. I am no marriage counselor, but that doesn’t sound like divorce language to me. It sounds more like, “Oh my God, what have we done” language.
It remains to be seen what will happen in the marriage of Jim and Meghan. It is actually sad to see a couple implode in such a public way. For their sakes, I hope both of them–and their family members–take a social media break. Once something is out there on the internet, it out is there forever. No matter how many follow-up statements you make.

Last night’s Real Housewives Of Dallas was all about family dramas. Isn’t it always? I mean, about the only thing that happens on this show anymore is LeeAnne Locken complaining about her mother. D’Andra Simmons complaining about her mother. And Brandi Redmond complaining about being a mother. Oh, ha – something different did happen last night: LeeAnne almost got married.
It’s one week before LeeAnne’s big day and she finally unveils the free wedding dress she conned out of a couture designer. Kameron Westcott and Stephanie Hollman attend the final fitting, becuase why NOT have another momentous event/part to celebrate LeeAnne’s slow crawl to Mrs?
The dress designer was inspired to capture LeeAnne’s inner child, which is probably why this gown looks like someone stapled cheerleading skirts to a Mother Of The Bride Dress! Or why it appears that LeeAnne is birthing a giant slab of tulle as if an alien insurrection is happening near her vagina. Honestly we see enough of LeeAnne’s inner child. Like Stephanie said, it’s the predominant part of her personality, and that inner (and outer) child need a muther f–king TIME. OUT.
During the fitting Kameron intentionally gushes about the amaaaaazing shower she threw which Stephanie skipped just to hurt Kameron’s feelings. Like girl, it had a string quartet of three musicians even! Stepanie does not take the bait and refuses to succumb to Kameron’s provoking. Unlike LeeAnne’s inner child, Stephanie’s is 48 and possesses maturity (instead of being possessed!).
Meanwhile, across town, the have-nots – as in the have-not legitimately been invite’eds – meet for lunch. That would be D’Andra, Brandi, and Kary Brittingham. Brandi has plans to go to the NFL Draft picks the weekend of LeeAnne’s wedding. Given that she was invited via tacky text 10 days before the event, she’s not inspired to alter plans to attend. Plano must be so backwoods that mail delivery hasn’t come there yet, and Brandi only got the text-vite when she ventured into the big city where they’ve got cell-u-laaaar service, y’all!
Kary is still up in the air. She feels damned if she does, damned if she doesn’t, but ultimately decides if she wants to forge any kind of friendship with LeeAnne she should make an effort to attend the wedding. At least there will be an open bar!
D’Andra is still blissfully uninvited, and with all the Hard Nights and equally Bad Mornings she’s presently dealing with, doesn’t feel motivated to put forth the effort to crash the big day in an effort to prove her love to LeeAnne. Proving love never works – see, D’Andra + Mama Dee.
In an interesting twist Kary’s cousin is Dallas bridal designer Mackenzie Brittingham, who apparently didn’t want to give a LeeAnne a free dress, and that is probably why LeeAnne resents Kary. That and because instead of offering up her Mexican house to give LeeAnne a free wedding moon, Kary threw a 50th birthday party for D’Andra. Anyway! Kary’s teenaged daughter is interning there because she dreams of being a designer and is starting with her own prom dress. Well, this is far more ambitious than the ‘Mommy and Daddy bought me a dance wear collection I can pretend to design if I promise to act sane’ nonsense on Real Housewives Of Orange County. There was actual sewing taking place!
Maybe Kary can intern there next in the hopes of launching this soon-to-be-mega-successful jewelry collection that’s gonna definitely pay for uber expensive fashion camps and trips to New Zealand (things her kids want)! Fun fact: Stephanie is wearing one of Mackenzie Brittingham’s designs in her intro! Other [un]fun fact: Kary gets no child support from her ex.
Parenting is hard no matter what the age. Kary’s daughter is a teenaged pill, but Brandi’s daughter, Brooklyn, is a pre-teen pill. As the mother of a 9-year-old, I confess my secret shame that I relate to all of this far, far too well. The sass! The overly-assertive obnoxiousness. The newfound discovery of slamming doors and the power of ‘I hate you!’ I feel you, Brandi!
Brooklyn is scootering around with no helmet and riding in the road, when Brandi calmly and patiently gives her directives to do the opposite. Brooklyn calls her annoying, then argues when Brandi tells her to put away the scooter and go to her room. Of course Brooklyn slams the door and tells Brandi she’s a bad mother. Brandi feels trapped: does she come down hard on Brooklyn and potentially isolate her (no), or ride it out and accept that this is all a very long, arduous phase called “tween” then gird her ears for a decade+ of Taylor Swift and BTS on full blast in response to all questions, suggestions, or directives (yes)?
Brandi’s biggest parenting quandary, though, has to do with Bruin. Bruin’s birth mother is pregnant again(!!!) and is planning, once again, to give the baby up for adoption. This girl, whomever she is, needs to be introduced to the wonderful world of Planned Parenthood for an IUD, followed by a come to Jesus talk from, well, Jesus. Or LeeAnne, who seems to excel at those hollow judgey-but-I’m-pretending-I-releate sermons.
As the adoptive parents of Bruin, Brandi and Bryan are given first dibs, for lack of a better term, on any subsequent siblings. Brandi’s heart is telling her ‘DO IT,’ but her head, thankfully, is telling her “press pause.” Brandi confuses to Stepanie that she just doesn’t know if she can handle a fourth child. Um, she can’t, but I admire her desire to help and her nonjudgemental compassion.
Also, Stephanie and Brandi launched a podcast called Weekly Dose of BS.
Seven days before the wedding LeeAnne is crying because although she invited her mom, they aren’t talking to her until the actual day of the wedding. Basically anyone who’s not giving LeeAnne a free party is F-List. I’m sorry, but I am so over this ‘abandonment’ spiel. I know, I know it’s a real part of LeeAnne’s life, and that’s all understandable, but she is 50 and it has been the same story coming out of her mouth for 4 seasons now, and I’ve had it. MOVE. ON. Also I’m just gonna be honest I fast-forwarded through all of this to get to the REAL psycho mom: Mama Dee Simmons. I bow down to thee.
D’Andra and Jeremy are having dinner with Mama Dee, plus the rest of their very small family, for their annual meet-up. The plan, however, is not to smile and nod over the price of oil stocks while pretending not to notice the latest plastic surgery, but to confront Mama Dee, as a united front, about what the hell happened with Hard Night Good Morning.
D’Andra and Mama Dee wearing the same earrings, except one is black one is white. Like evil vs. innocent. They basically need to each have one of each. We also meet Dee’s younger brother, who looks like her but has a mobile face, and get a clip of Dee and D’Andra pedaling their wares on Christian television before the network probably got shut down for tax evasion or some shit, thus bankrupting Green Miracle.
Dee does not hear the words coming out D’Andra and Jeremy’s mouths, however much sense they make, because she doesn’t want to! All she hears is D’Andra saying ‘rescue me mother, get out your checkbook, cause it’s all your fault.’
Dee is subsequently doubling-down on her no remorse claims, and vows never to put money into this company again because after bankrupting it, doesn’t have faith that it will rebound. So, Dee just let her DAUGHTER suffer the losses?! Harsh. D’Andra just wants some acknowledgment that she was conned, but she’s gonna be waiting til the wrinkles come out on Dee’s plastic face for that. Instead, Dee continues to deny doing anything deliberate and shames D’Andra for not understanding what it’s like to be a parent. Well, she has been friends with LeeAnne all these years…
D’Andra time to, well, move on! Either save your company or dump it, but you’re never gonna get honesty, consideration, or caring from Mama Dee.
Finally, it is LeeAnne’s wedding day. There is a five-hour intermission between the ceremony and the reception which has everyone confused about what they’re supposed to do in formal wear. Um, go home, put the sweats back on?
Kary gets her makeup done at Kameron’s house and even Kam’s makeup artist is like a twee little fairy. But the best twee little fairy is Court, who brings them a PLASTIC tray, like something stolen from a school cafeteria, laden with lunch treats that belong in that same cafeteria. White bread sandwiches, chips, and cups of milk. How does Kameron’s house not literally repel plastic trays and paper plates? I would think there is an invisible barrier that blocks anything gauche? Maybe it’s because being touched by Court’s hands puts his scent on the tray, and the house is forced to accede to its master’s demands?
Whatever the case, that is adorable, and even more adorable is Kameron busting out her book of ‘mommy porn’ which features photos of Court wearing various suits while pretending to do household chores, like cleaning the toilet and vacuuming. Kam insists this is what she does all day and this is Court acknowledging all she does for their family. Um, girl please, girl – Kam does not clean a toilet or take out trash! She does probably stand there in a fancy suit and supervise the maid!
Kary is beyond impressed and also jealous. She can’t even convince Eduardo to let her have a debit card or be on the deed to their house, yet Court is bringing Kameron sandwiches?! This lady is one Louboutin out the door and into the divorce attorney’s office, although you know they have an iron-clad prenup which is why Kary’s on Real Housewives Of Dallas and talking about her mythical jewelry line every chance she gets!
Then Kam calls LeeAnne to check-in. We learn LeeAnne spent her pre-wedding night at the Round Up and now has puffy hands and a hoarse voice. Kameron is not impressed. She literally chokes on her white bread.
Moments before LeeAnne is to walk down the aisle, her cousin reveals that LeeAnne’s mom isn’t there yet. This instantly triggers a lifetime of being left under the Tilt-A-Whirl while her mom ran the duck shoot. Five minutes before the ceremony no one has even heard from LeeAnne’s mother, and LeeAnne is not inclined to wait – as she should not! LeeAnne’s mom is probably at the Round Up.
