Kim Kardashian Faces Backlash Over Shocking Collaboration

Kim Kardashian recently collaborated with a new brand. This brand is a big-time household name for most families. Yet, many of these same families feel ticked off about Kim hawking this product. Here’s why.

Kim Kardashian is joining Fortnite, and not all fans are happy

Fortnite is a popular video game that many children play for hours on end. Epic Games, a privately held American company, owns this brand. And now, Kim is one of their latest paid influencers helping to promote this product. In her first dropped ad, we see Kim standing in her kitchen, calling her kids down for a healthy, colorful lunch.

The ad then transitions into how busy Kim is as a single working mother. “And now, she’s taking on Fortnite,” the narrator explains, as Kim quips, “What? Like it’s hard?” However, in the comments on both Fortnite’s YouTube and Instagram posts, many viewers are now popping off.

To backtrack, in 2009, Kim and her then-boyfriend, Ray J, went viral thanks to their leaked sex tape. So, as the first commenter on YouTube stressed, children will search for a Kim Kardashian leak or drop and “get the wrong thing.” Then, dozens of commenters quickly chimed in to agree.

Meanwhile, over on Instagram, this ad is also facing similar critiques, with the top commenter noting, “Bringing a pornstar into a child’s game is crazy.” Below, another person wrote, “We actually do not want this. I’m so serious.” But as another noted, “Kim K does not play Fortnite, bruh,” which may or may not be a true statement; it’s really just too hard to say.

Others are writing in trying to speak to the manager directly, meaning the parent company, asking, “Are we deadass, Epic Games???” Whatever happens, many people are upset with this parent brand. But let’s be honest. The kids will play it anyway.
