One of Stephanie Hollman’s major story lines during the first Real Housewives of Dallas season was the dynamic of her marriage with Travis Hollman. The viewers really had a field day when he presented her with a list of chores. So of course, they’re most likely going to lay into them when Travis put a bid (and got) a house with a swimming pool in the living room and it came across like Stephanie was in the dark on the purchase.
Other than that, Stephanie‘s major story line (i.e. the only thing happening so far this season) is her fall out with best friend Brandi Redmond, which of course now involves most of the other cast members.
Stephanie discussed searching for a new home in her Bravo blog post.
She wrote, “Don’t get me wrong, the house is insanely cool… if you’re a billionaire bachelor looking for a giant indoor display case to keep your exotic sea life! I am seeing this house through my ‘mom eyes’ and nothing about it seemed practical! I want my boys to be able to live in their home and have a place to throw their toys, not worry about some crazy expensive wallpaper getting messed up.” Or worry about accidentally throwing their toys in the pool.
Stephanie made it clear that she has grown from being the submissive Housewife she was accused of being last season: “I am not going to let Travis pressure me into living in a home that is not suitable for our family! This is going to be a group decision, and if we can’t come to an agreement, we are going to call this one another investment property. I am standing my ground on this – I am mama bear, hear me roar!”
And then she got to the real drama: her issues with Brandi and everyone else’s involvement. She wrote, “I applaud Cary [Deuber] for meeting with Brandi at lunch to clear up this text message situation, and I think she explained the issue very well in her confessional this episode. I spoke to Cary, deducted a conclusion from that conversation, and sent a message to Brandi! Do I regret sending the text to Brandi? No!”
Considering that they all were at odds with LeeAnne Locken last year and now LeeAnne is Brandi‘s substitute BFF, it would make sense for Stephanie to be leery of the situation. Plus it was great that she sent it for us viewers. Let’s face it: if Stephanie didn’t send a text to Brandi, warning her about LeeAnne, these first two episodes would be painfully boring to watch.
Stephanie explained, “Even though we were not talking at the time, I still consider her my best friend and I have her best interests at heart! I do not want to see her get hurt, so when I watch her get closer to someone that I very clearly do not trust, I get concerned. What I do regret doing is not going into further detail in that message.”
She continued, “When Cary approached me at the fashion show, I was very honest in saying that I did text Brandi, but again, I did not do it with ill intentions. Cary has been an incredible friend to me and I did not by any means want to get her tangled in our mess, and for that I am sorry!” That’s just how Real Housewives works. Your problem becomes the entire cast’s problem. Not really your fault, Stephanie. Cary was going to be involved in this at some point, no matter what.
So far Stephanie and Brandi have only interacted at group events and they haven’t discussed anything, but Stephanie said, “I left that event with some hope in my heart! I am thankful that Brandi agreed to talk with me, and I pray that when we meet next it will just be her and I so we can finally find some resolution!”
